A/N: Disclaimer: This is in essence an Ash Betrayal story, however with that being said this is going to be vastly different than the other betrayal stories, for one not everyone will betray Ash and act stupidly out of character. Second while most betrayal stories start after the Kalos League, this one will take place in another time and another place, namely covering events that have yet to happen, the World Coronation Series Finals. Fair warning this story will have semi-OC, which is an OC that is based on a character found in another media that isn't in the anime. In addition this story is going through an active rewrite right now, with the first few of chapters being edited bit by bit.
This is a minor AU, with most events happening as they did in the anime, though here is the timeline when it comes to aging.

Now, without further ado, let us get the show on the road.
ARC I:
FALL OF A CHAMPION
Chapter 1: The Final Preparations
On a beautiful beach on Melemele Island, a certain Pokémon Trainer with Corviknight-black hair by the name of Ash Ketchum, was training for the match to end all matches. It had been his life's goal to be a Pokémon Master, and defeating the top trainer in the world is certainly a major steppingstone towards being one. In this round of training was his partner, Pikachu, the Pokémon that had stood by his side the entire journey, from the moment, Ash stood in front of a flock of Spearow to protect him, to the numerous times that they have almost died (or died) trying to help others in need, there were truly brothers from a different mother as some would say. On the other side of the ring was the battle hungry flying lizard, Charizard, one of Ash's original and arguably his most powerful Pokémon to date, from the time Ash and his friends found him as a stray Charmander, abandoned by its trainer to die, to the time that it evolved to Charmeleon and became disobedient, and finally to the time that it was frozen by a Poliwrath and subsequently became loyal to Ash once more as a result of thawing him out. During this time it has grown into one of Ash's powerhouses, and most reliable Pokémon, especially after his training from the Charicific Valley. Only a mere forty-eight hours from now, he will be facing off against the undefeated champion of Galar and World Monarch, Leon.
As such, the young trainer has been training practically non-stop at his home away from home, ever since that battle against Cynthia the Sinnoh Champion, approximately three weeks ago. Fully knowing that the Galar Champion will bring his ultimate team as well as knowing the team that Ash has used since that fateful day when he became a Research Fellow at Cerise Laboratories. Intending to surprise the Champion in his battle, Ash decided to use the Pokémon he has befriended and caught over the course of his journey to help him. Overlooking his training are his friends that he met at Cerise Laboratories, his fellow Research Fellow, Goh, who dreams of catching every Pokémon in attempt to ultimately capture the Mythical Pokémon, Mew, and the daughter of Professor Cerise himself, Chloe, who ends up doing most of the data collecting herself nowadays. Standing next to Goh is his two main Pokémon, his Cinderace, and his Inteleon. On the ground, next to Chloe is her friendly Eevee.
"Charizard use a full power FLAMETHOWER!," as Ash commanded in glee, as Charizard's tail lit up like wildfire, as an amazing flare came bursting through his mouth at incredible speeds, and strengths. With Goh and Chloe visibly shocked that Ash was stupid enough to toast his best friend immediately before his match against a man who could arguably be called the champion of champions.
"Pikachu, counter using Electroweb," Ash yelled in confidence, as the electric rat fired an electric ball that proceed to cover the small yellow rat with a web made from electricity, just as the great inferno hit him. While by all logic, Pikachu should be nothing but a fried mouse, five years and eight regions does have its effects on one's abilities, especially for a Pikachu that was already powerful to boot. As such the shield formed by the web, was able to protect Pikachu from a fiery fate.
"With that I think we should be able to take on Leon!" as the young teen boldly proclaimed. Well, it would have been a bold proclamation, if he were not already the Champion of a region himself. Unbeknownst to his two friends, about a year ago Ash had won the first ever Alolan Championship title, in an epic duel of Lyncarocs. However, that is beside the point, as that win was just one tiny little step on the road to achieve his dream. His dream to become a Pokémon Master.
From the nearby brush, a duo of people wearing a white costume with a giant R imprinted on it, alongside a cat Pokémon known as, Meowth.
"This might be the last time, we can capture Pikachu," the female with long magenta hair said.
"And all of those other super powerful and rare Pokémon the twerps have as well," the male with short blue hair continued.
"We'll give them to the boss, and he will sure to give us a promotion," the Meowth said, this is not an average Meowth. (A/N: I can't type a Brooklyn Accent, so just imagine it)
"But how will we steal the twerp's Pokémon without, them blasting us off?" the man said.
"Well, I am glad, you asked Jimmy," Meowth said as he pulled out the disguises of the day.
"A sombrero, fake moustache, tropical clothes, and rubber gloves?"
"That sounds like it is definitely going to fail," the woman said.
"Come on Jessie, it is foolproof, plus I believe we have one of our mechs in storage around here." A lightbulb came on in the trio's head.
"Which mech is it, Meowth?" Jessie asked.
"It should be the one that is immune to attacks on the inside, as well as electrical attacks in general."
"Great," Jessie said.
"Wobbuffet!" As Wobbuffet came out of his Pokéball before Jessie returned it.
"Come on James, we got twerps to fool," Jessie said as she grabbed the disguise from Meowth, and pulled James away, leaving Meowth to find the mech.
Back at the beach, just as Ash finished, he decided to release his current team on hand revealing, his cool Sceptile, the playful yet serious Infernape, and a surprise Pokémon, meanwhile Ash's Alolan Team were running out to interact with Ash's "dream" Team, and among those ranks were, the loveable sleepy owl, Rowlet, the powerhouse Incineroar, the loveable rock dog, Lycanroc, and the young mythical, Melmetal. Ash, Pikachu, and Charizard quickly got in the fun Pokémon hijinks, as they started playing around in sand, acting like the family of goofballs and misfits they were to outsiders.
"Ash sure is something," Chloe said looking towards Goh.
"You sure are right, Chloe, there is just something about Ash," Goh said.
"Vee!" Chloe's Eevee squealed as she started to run towards Ash and his Pokémon.
"Wait, Eevee," Chloe said in a hint of concern.
"Eevee going to be just fine," Goh said, before Cinderace decided to also join in the fun, while Inteleon follows.
"Oh, maybe its best if everyone joined in," Goh said with a grin, while Chloe nodded in agreement.
"Everyone out!" As a Golurk, Darmanitan, Farfecth'd (Kantonian Form), Scizor, and Ponyta (Galarian Form) came out of their Pokéballs. (A/N: From here on out the regional form shorthand will be, K-Kanto, J-Johto, H-Hoenn, U-Unova, A-Alola, G-Galar, if there is two separate forms of the Pokémon at one time)
Ash and his Pokémon noticed the other Pokémon joining in, welcoming them with open arms, as they started back up there playing, all the while two people in sombreros, a half done fake moustache, and a tropical shirt walked closer to them.
"Alola, young man," the two strangers said.
"Alola," Ash replied.
"Are you Ash Ketchum that guy who is going to face off against the unbeatable Champion Leon, tomorrow?" Goh and Chloe were starting to get real weird vibes right now, like something bad is going to happen.
"Yes I am."
"Can we have your autograph?"
"I hate to break it to you, but I don't exactly have a pen," Ash said as he brushed his head with his hand, in an embarrassing manor. All the while Goh and Chloe were convinced that these strangers weren't here for an autograph. The strangers proceeded to go around and take a look at all of these Pokémon, that just caused a red alert on Goh and Chloe's head.
"Ash are you sure you can trust them," Chloe said.
"They literally look like Jessie and James with sombreros on," Goh added.
"Come on guys, we barely met them, how come you think their Team Rocket?" Ash asked.
"They did the BARE MININIMUM TO HIDE THEIR IDENITIY!" Goh and Chloe shouted in unison.
"Just give them a cha…" Ash said as he was caught off guard by the nets that were deployed by a Toucannon mecha that captured, most of the Pokémon there expect for Rowlet.
"Alright, who are you?" Ash asked sternly, as the two people jumped on top of the Toucannon mecha, and then proceed to rip off their disguises.
"Did someone ask something? We're here to find out!" Stranger one said, as she ripped off her disguise to unveil herself as Jessie.
"Noble answers are what we're all about!" Stranger two said, as he did the same thing to unveil himself as James.
"The beauty so radiant, the flowers and moon hide in shame."
"A single flower of evil in this fleeting world:"
"Jessie!"
"The nobly heroic man of our times!"
"The master of darkness fighting back against a tragic world!"
"It's James!"
"It's all for one and one for all!" Meowth said in the comfort of a cockpit, while Jessie and James were entering it following their lines.
"A glittering dark star that always shines bright!"
"Dig it, while Meowth takes flight!"
"Team Rocket, let's fight!" Jessie and James said as they take controls of the mecha.
"That's right!" Meowth said getting into battle position.
"Wobbuffet!"
"Team Rocket!" Ash said, as Rowlet returned to his trainer's shoulder, as a man with no shirt but a lab coat, along with his wife pushing his child's stroller go outside to see a giant Toucannon mecha outside his comfy little lab house.
"What do you want this time?" Ash asked.
"It's obvious twerp, we're here to steal your Pikachu and the other rare and powerful Pokémon," Jessie said, as the Pokémon inside the mecha start bashing around in the hopes that they will blow this thing up on the inside.
"You can stop trying to break the machine, we made it indestructible ages ago!" James said.
"What can we do, Ash?" Goh asked.
"What do you mean, we fight them."
"But we don't have any Pokémon," Chloe retorted. Ash looked towards the direction of Rowlet, and it gave out a nod indicting that it was ready to fight. The professors stood back and decided to watch from the patio, knowing that Ash has encountered these guys way too many times, not to be confident that he will be able to free he and his friends Pokémon.
"We have Rowlet here," Ash said.
"But you can only have six Pokémon at a time," Goh retorted.
"Yea I know, but Rowlet here is my friend, and I learned a long time ago that League rules are meaningless when facing off against Team Rocket," Ash replied, and smiled.
"Dang it, looks like we missed one," Meowth said, as he pressed the button shooting nets at the bird.
"Capture him then," Jessie said.
"I am on it!"
"Rowlet, dodge the missiles and use Razor Leaf," Ash said as Rowlet started twisting and turning, dodging the nets gracefully as he flies near the cockpit. Before using his wings to trigger Razor Leaf at the closed off cockpit. Which surprisingly did not destroy the machine.
"Did you not hear, James earlier, he said it was indestructible," Meowth said. However, it was at this time that the TRio noticed that the twerp wasn't where he was at when they stole his Pokémon. Goh and Chloe noticed too, as before they too busy keeping track of the young Rowlet's antics against the mecha, and its nets to notice where Ash was. Only the professors knew where he was. He was climbing up into the mecha to try and hijack it. While the married couple were worried about his safety, they also realized that this is probably not the first time he had tried to pull that off.
"Wait where is Ash?" Chloe asked, noticing the teen ran off to some parts unknown.
"I don't know," Goh replied while the duo started to look for only to find him relatively quickly. At about the same time, Team Rocket was asking themselves the same question, before the two groups came to the same conclusion relatively quickly. Ash was climbing up the wing of the mecha.
"Ash!" Goh and Chloe shouted in unison, as they started to worry about the safety of their friend.
"The twerp is running up the wing," Team Rocket said in disbelief, as it had at least been several years since he last attempted to pull this stunt off.
"Never mind about that, start aiming at the twerp!" Jessie ordered.
"Aye, aye!" James and Meowth said as they started firing mock beams from the mecha's beak towards Ash.
"Maybe you should intervene, Kukui," Professor Burnet, said.
"Give it time, I am sure Ash can do it, besides, he is facing off against the unbeatable champion in two days," Professor Kukui replied, though deep down he was really concerned about Ash, after all the kid was like a son to him and Burnet.
"I am going after, Ash," Goh said.
"Hold on, Goh its dangerous, by the way Team Rocket said, it appears he has done this several times in the past," Chloe said.
"Your right," Goh relented.
"Heh, firing Hyper Beams at me, Team Rocket, I should've expected something like that," Ash said with a smirk.
"Too bad, they are way too easy to miss," as he proceeds to hop side to side to dodge the beams entirely which in turn causes damage to the mecha. All the while, Rowlet was damaging the robot using a combination of Seed Bomb and Razor Leaf.
"Keep it up, Rowlet you're doing great!"
"Rowlet!"
"That's the spirit, keep on going!" Ash cheered, as he and Rowlet rendezvous on top of the mecha.
"So, there is usually a compartment inside these things?" Ash pondered, while Rowlet tried to peck at an area to reveal a compartment.
"Row-Rowlet!"
"Great job, Rowlet let's see where it takes us," as the pair jump through the hole, only to lead them to the cockpit.
"Alola!" Ash said scaring the Team Rocket Trio from behind.
"Oh, shoot it's the twerp!" James yelled.
"Wobbuffet, teach this twerp a lesson in hopping in other people's mecha's!"
"Wobbuffet!" as Wobbuffet took center stage.
"Rowlet use Brave Bird!" Rowlet appeared to nosedive towards Wobbuffet.
"You know what to do, Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet took a multicolored form, bracing itself for impact, expect that impact never came. Rowlet swiftly dodged Wobbuffet, and went directly towards the floor itself, blowing a hole open. The hole revealed the Pokémon that Team Rocket captured, and they proceed to rejoin their trainer or trainer's friend depending on the Pokémon.
"I think its time to finish this guys," Ash said to a responding crew of Pokémon yells.
"Alright Rowlet, use Seed Bomb to blow open the hatch, and everyone else let's blast Team Rocket straight back to Kanto," Ash said to an appeasing crowd of Pokémon. Rowlet used Seed Bomb, and destroyed the window, but before he could go back to retrieve his precious everstone, he began to glow blue.
"Rowlet, your evolving!?" As the owl's blue hue could be seen from a distance, Goh and Chloe saw the evolution happen before their eyes, while the professors could only look in shock as they have known that Rowlet had previously ate an everstone.
"Dartix!" as the newly evolved Dartix yelled before going to retrieve its everstone, turns out old habits die hard. The group proceed to jump ship.
"Cinderace, Inteleon, Golurk, Darmanitan, Farfecth'd, Scizor, I am glad you are all right," as Goh's Pokémon embraced him. Meanwhile Chloe's Eevee and Ponyta did the same thing.
"Alright guys aim for the head!" as eleven different attacks hit the Toucannon mecha causing it to go haywire.
"Oh crap," the TRio said in unison, as their unstable mecha started to break down. They were waiting for the inevitable. While Goh, Chloe, and the Pokémon that weren't apart of Ash's Alolan Team were wondering why they haven't just blasted off yet, Ash put up his hand with three fingers up, knowing what was about to happen.
"Just wait for it guys," Ash said as he dropped one finger.
"Why?" Goh asked.
"Because Team Rocket's blastoffs in Alola are quite a bit different," as Ash dropped another finger, the mecha started to go into an immediate self-destruct, while somewhere on the island a certain Bewear, and her cub were rushing over. Ash dropped the final finger, as the mecha blew up. However right before it blew up, a Bewear came tearing through the machine with relative ease and picked up the TRio and left.
"Looks like were off with a new blast!" the TRio said as they were taken into the distance. Goh, Chloe, and the other Pokémon sweat dropped at the "blast off".
"D-did they just?" Goh asked.
"Yes, yes they did," Ash replied nonchalantly.
"Ash, you alright?" Professor Kukui asked as he ran up to the boy.
"Sure am, professor!" Just then Ash's stomach growled.
"Or I will be once I eat," Ash said while rubbing the back of his head.
"Well good thing, I originally came to say dinner is ready."
"That's great!"
"Wow, this is really good professors thank you," Ash said as he begun to chow down on his food, in typical anime protagonist eating.
"Ash stop acting like a Snorlax!" Chloe nagged.
"Oh, come on, hurry up and eat before its gone," Ash replied, while shoving down his food even more.
"Don't worry Chloe, we made plenty of food," Professor Burnet said, as she was feeding Lei, the baby, a bottle.
"So, what's the plan for tomorrow Ash?" Goh asked.
"That's easy, we rest, and then we depart for Wyndon," Ash said, before adding, "That a way we will be ready to face off against Leon."
"Don't forget your also representing the spirt of Alola, Ash," Professor Kukui added.
"What do you mean, Professor Kukui?" Asked a puzzled Goh. Still unaware that his friend has been keeping some major secrets.
"You haven't told them yet?"
"Told them about what?" Ash asked, which caused the professor to sigh.
"I had the Foresight that you haven't, makes sense knowing you."
"Ash, what have you been keeping from us?" As Goh starts to question the whole basis of their friendship. While Chloe started to get a little curious about what Ash might have been hiding. Ash himself was struggling in thinking what he had been hiding.
"Oh, that," Ash said.
"That, what?" Goh asked
"I probably should've told y'all a little earlier, but I am… The Alolan Champion."
"WHAT?" replied Chloe, and Goh who said it in sync
"You're the champion of Alola." Goh said in shock.
"Yes, I am."
"Why didn't you tell us?"
"I don't know, it seems like something I would tell someone, or at least something someone else would've mentioned by this point," Ash pondered.
"Pika!"
"Yeah, Pikachu?"
"Pika-Pikachu Pika!"
"Oh, that makes sense," Ash said.
"I forgot!" Ash said while he was laughing, causing everyone in the room expect for Pikachu, Charizard, Sceptile, Infernape, and Lei to face fault.
"How do you forgot about being a champion of a region?" Goh asked Ash.
"I have no clue, it's like forgetting you could be a Frontier…"
"A Frontier what?" Chloe asked.
"Maybe I should take up Scott's offer after this," Ash said remembering that at any time he could become a Frontier Brain.
"Whose Scott?" Goh asked
"The guy who put together the Battle Frontier," Ash said.
"Oh," Goh said.
"Anything else you want to tell us?" Goh asked.
"Nothing I can think of at the moment," Ash replied. Goh was wondering if Ash were hiding more then he would let on. Being a champion was something that almost nobody forgets. Judging that he has been on his journey for the better part of five years, Ash must have done more than just win the Alola League.
Unbeknownst to anyone in the shack a certain guardian deity was watching the entire exchange go down. He had noticed during Ash's stay that did not have his Z-Power Ring in tow, instead he had some weird band around his arm were his Z-Power Ring used to be. Tapu Koko had been analyzing the band for the past three weeks, waiting to modify the band, so that he can use the power of Z-Moves against this so-called unbeatable World Monarch.
The next day, Ash and the gang were ready to depart to Galar in anticipation for his ultimate battle against Leon. To his surprise, his old classmates from Pokémon School were there to see him off, again.
"ALOLA SURPISE!" The Alolan gang said, which consisted of a green haired girl with overalls, Mallow, her Pokémon partner, Tsareena, a tall dark-skinned boy with only shorts and sandals, Kiawe, and his partners, Turtonator and (A) Marowak, a somewhat shorter blue haired girl, Lana, and her Primaria, and finally a stubby inventor, Sophocles, his Togedemaru and Vikavolt with him.
"Guys you shouldn't have," Ash said as he embraced the group.
"We did it to wish you luck against Leon," Mallow said.
"Sorry we can't be there with, but rest assure we will watch you be getting pulverized by Leon's Charizard at Aina's Kitchen," Lana said, which made Ash a tad bit nervous, but that changed when Lana added, "Just kidding, you are sure to win tomorrow!"
"I know your going to great out their Ash," Sophocles said.
"I am sure I will," Ash replied.
"Pikachu!"
"I expect nothing less…" Kiawe said as he noticed a band that certainly wasn't a Z-Power Ring.
"What is that?" Kiawe asked.
"Oh, its my Dynamax Band, I got it as a gift from Leon," Ash said.
"Where is your Z-Ring?" Kiawe asked.
"I left it at home," Ash said nonchalantly.
"WHAT!?" As Kiawe's face morphed in horror.
"HOW CAN YOU JUST LEAVE YOUR Z-RING AT HOME!?" Kiawe started ranting, "THE Z-RING IS A SACERED TRADITION, VERY FEW PEOPLE CAN GET ONE MUCH LESS FOREGINERS, AND YOU UP AND LEFT IT AT HOME!"
"Come on Kiawe, I am sure Ash has a good reason for that," Mallow said as she tried to calm down the Kiawe who was burning as hot as Wela Volcano.
"THERE IS NOT GOOD REASON!"
"I left it at home, because I thought it would be unfair to Leon, since he can't use Z-moves," Ash said worriedly.
"ASH FORGOT ABOUT UNFAIRNESS, I BET YOU 100 POKE THAT LEON STILL WOULD'VE GIGANTIMAXED HIS CHARIZARD, EVEN IF YOU WERE UNABLE TO DYNAMAX YOUR POKEMON!"
"Maybe we should get going," Chloe whispered to Goh.
"I agree," Goh whispered back, as he motioned to grab Ash.
"Ah, Ash Ketchum it is my pleasure to meet you again," a voice coming from an old fat man said.
"Kahuna Hala, nice to see you again," Ash said smiling.
"Who are you?" Goh asked.
"Oh, that's right you never met him yet," Ash said, "Goh, Chloe that is Hala, he is the Kahuna of this island."
"Nice to meet you, Kahuna Hala," the pair said.
"I am Goh from Vermillion City."
"And I am Chloe from Vermillion City."
"I am Hala, the Kahuna of Melemele Island, it's a pleasure to meet some of Ash's friends."
"So, what brings you around these parts, Kahuna?" Professor Kukui asked.
"It's simple, I here to wish Ash the best of luck against Leon, and to tell him the other Kahunas wish the same."
"Thanks, Hala." As the trio and their Pokémon turn to embark on their plane to Galar, one final visitor decided to show up.
"Tapu Koko!"
"Alola, Tapu Koko," Ash said as Tapu Koko started floating towards him.
"Wait who is that Pokémon, Goh?" Chloe asked.
"I believe that's the Island Guardian," Goh replied, as Chloe pointed her Rotom Phone at the Tapu Koko.
Tapu Koko, the Land Spirit Pokémon. An Electric and Fairy type. It is known as the guardian Pokémon of Melemele Island in the Alola Region, it is said that it barely appears in front of anyone, despite this Tapu Koko has been appearing more often.
"It is indeed Tapu Koko, I am guessing that you are here to wish young Ketchum well?" Hala asked.
"Tapu Koko," the Tapu nodded at the Kahuna, before rushing to grab Ash's Dynamax Band.
"Wait, Tapu Koko I need that to Gigantamax Pikachu," Ash hesitated.
"Koko."
"It appears Tapu Koko is a little upset at you, for I quote 'ditching your Z-Power Ring and replacing it with a cheap plastic rip off, that is powered by a strange force exhibited by a crazy dragon'. Wow might I say, Tapu Koko definitely didn't take it well," Hala said, while Tapu Koko seemed to toy around with Ash's Dynamax Band.
"Makes sense," Kiawe grumbled clearly showing the same sentiments as Tapu Koko.
"For your information, Tapu Koko I only left it at home, because I thought using a Z-Move in places where Z-Moves weren't known would be unfair," Ash tried to tell his side of the story.
"Koko."
"Well, that would make sense knowing you," Hala said before continuing, "Tapu Koko wants me to tell you, 'Then I am offering a parting gift, Ash, I am modifying your silly little expander bracelet to allow you to use a Z-Move if you so choose, mainly because of all you did for Alola'."
"Wow, thank you Tapu Koko," Ash said.
"What exactly did Ash do in Alola besides becoming Champion?" Goh asked.
"I don't think we have enough time to explain," Lana said, whilst Tapu Koko was tinkering with Ash's Dynamax Band.
"Oh," Goh said rather disappointed, adding on to the mythos of this person who thought he knew all about.
"Koko!" Tapu Koko said, as he presented Ash with the newly reconstructed Dynamax Band, showing a Electrium Z in place of the Dynamax Symbol on the band.
"'This what I call a Z-Dynamax Band, I created a copy of your old Electrium Z so you will be able to use a Z-Move against this Leon fellow,'" Hala interrupted.
"This is awesome, I am sure we will definitely defeat Leon!" Ash exclaimed followed by an equally powered "Pikachu" from Pikachu, "I really can't thank all of you enough, I am sure I will make Alola proud!"
"You better, Ash," said Kiawe having cooled down a bit. Ash group hugged the group before departing on the plane towards Wyndon.

Two days later, in Wyndon, Galar, it was close to showdown time at Wyndon Stadium, the whole stadium was super crowded, or at least crowded enough that Ash and his friends had to have a police escort to enter Wyndon Stadium.
"I knew this battle was going to be big, but I didn't expect it to be this huge," Ash said amazement.
"Why didn't you think that this event is one of the biggest events in the world, especially here in the region that is more in to battling than any other region!" Chloe said.
"Because it didn't seem that big last time," Ash said.
"Maybe because some rule changes happened," Goh said.
"Remember how last year, it was a 1v1 final," Goh said.
"Yeah," Ash said as it wasn't clicking in his head.
"Not many people would tune in to watch a battle that would be over in a matter of minutes, but people would tune in if it was Full Battle that wouldn't be finished for a matter of hours," Goh replied.
"Oh, that makes sense, the battles would be more intense, and fun," Ash said.
"Exactly, besides the World Coronation Series is really hyping up this 'anyone can make it to the top storyline' this year."
"What do you mean?"
"There saying that some random kid from somewhere in rural Kanto can match up against one of the most powerful, if not THE most powerful trainer in the world."
"They are?"
"Yes," Goh and Chloe said in unison, "don't you watch the news?"
"Not really," Ash said. Just as they were walking towards the locker room, they were intercepted by several people.
"Mom?" Ash wondered, as one of the people came into view.
"Ash?" As she ran towards him and hugged him like any proud mother.
"Mom, I didn't know you were going to be here, these tickets are super-expensive."
"I know that sweetie, but thanks to Professor Oak and his connections we were able to obtain tickets to see you battle, besides, I still would've watched you on TV even if I couldn't attend."
"And who might you be?" Ash pondered, just as a little girl about as old as Ash's journey popped her head out from behind Ash's mother leg, she was little girl with long brown hair, and a plain black dress. She seemed a little bit nervous to say anything.
"Come on now honey, this is your big brother," Ash's mother, Delia, said. With that it gave Audrey the courage to introduce herself.
"I-I-Im A-a-audrey, Audrey Ketchum," the little one said.
"Oh, there is no need to be afraid, neither me nor Pikachu bite," as Pikachu jumped off Ash's shoulder and started to rub against Audrey's dress.
"M-m-may I pet him?"
"Sure, Pikachu loves to be pet on the back," as the little girl started to do just that, it appears Pikachu was enjoying every moment of it. Meanwhile, Eevee decided to jump out of Chloe's arms and try to join in the fun.
"May I pet the Eevee?"
"Sure, you can, it seems like Eevee really would like it," Chloe responded as the Eevee started to get pet on its stomach.
"So, I have a had a sister this whole time, and I only learn of it now?" Ash said as he was in complete shock. However, he quickly realized why he may of never have noticed his little sister until now. Every time he returns home, he is always there for about a few weeks at best, few hours at worst, until he heads off for a new location. Even then he still should have noticed an extra head at home, before realizing at second thought, it might be because he was always out and about doing something, while his sister was at home. During the time he was at home the longest, he would often train with his past Pokémon all day long, while his mother works at the local café. Ash then quickly cleared away his thoughts, so he would be all prepared for his upcoming battle against Leon.
"Ashy Boy, good luck, against Leon" as the voice morphed into that of Gary "Blue" Oak.
"Thank You." Ash then parted ways with his companions and then turned his full focus on the ensuring battle. Watch parties were being organized wherever it could happen, there was one in Pallet Town organized by a guy with a red headband, an assistant of the Professor, Tracy, another in the City of Cerulean, where a girl with a swimsuit and a jacket on, was looking in awe, the Cerulean City Gym Leader, Misty, and this excitement extended to Pewter City, where a Pokémon Doctor in training, Brock, was watching alongside his whole family. Though these feelings were not just exclusive to the region of Kanto, they were felt all over the place, in Petalburg City, Hoenn, a family of four were watching as a family friend was about to fight not just any champion, but THE champion. Twinleaf Town, Sinnoh, a girl, her mother, a Piplup, and some friends were looking at the television in anticipation. The Striaton City Gym was hosting a watch party for this ultimate battle, and somewhere in the Kalos Region, a certain inventor and his family were in eagerly awaiting the battle to begin. Finally, in Alola, crowds were gathered at the nearest television screen in the hopes that their champion, will come out on top.
This is the battle that Ash had been waiting for all his life, he could feel the prebattle atmosphere, people were cheering all over the place. He could see various important figures watching from the boxes, the other champions, his friends, his family. Heck, he could even see the camera's rolling at the battleground. The referees were in position, as the two trainers were walking through to their positions, he could hear the announcer announce their entrances.
"On the right side, we have Leon, the undefeatable Champion of Galar, and the current World Monarch, he was instrumental in defending Galar against Eternatus, and was the one responsible, to rebuild the Galar League and the World Coronation Series upon the disappearance of Chairman Rose, and now he is fighting to retain his title."
"On the left side, we have Ash, hailing from Pallet Town in the Kanto Region, he has made it to the Top 16 in the Indigo League, Top 8 in the Sliver, Ever Grande, and Vertress Conferences, Top 4 in the Lily of the Valley Conference though some call him the runner up due to him being the only one to take out the winner's Darkrai and Latios, and yes folks I did not mispronounce that, Runner Up in the Lumoise Conference, and the victor of the Manalo Conference, as well as the Orange League, and conqueror of the Battle Frontier. Now he is fighting against our unbeatable monarch Leon for the title."
Ash did not expect that handful of a statement to come out, heck he didn't even know how the announcer got a hold of his accomplishments. However, that doesn't matter right now, since priority one was to defeat Leon.
"I knew you were one heck of a trainer, Ash, I hope we can have a Champion Time," Leon smiled as he did his champion pose to the adoring crowd of people out there.
"I expect the same thing from you, Leon, as they say one shall stand, one shall fall, and personally I am going to be the one standing," Ash said.
"Pikachu!" It felt like the entire world was watching this one battle. However, that was not the case as a group of people were in a business meeting, in Rose Tower, the building of Chairman Rose, owner of Marcos Cosmos and one of the most influential people in the world. Though different thoughts flowed through the people's head, some of guilt, some of betrayal. The leader of the people had different thoughts, a thought of revenge.
"Today will be the day that Ash Ketchum shall fall, and Team Rocket will rise, and conquer the world," the leader said as he stroked his Persian's fur as he overlooked the stadium that will turn into a madhouse.

A/N: So the rewritten version of Chapter 1 is now out and live, this was a somewhat massive effort. If I am going to be honest the whole reason why I upload chapters at random is because I am still in school, and I was prepping for the SAT, which is the standardize test. Upon reading through the original Chapter 1 it felt like it was too bare bones, it may of set up somethings but it felt like I rushed through it to get to the main meat. This was one of the reasons for the rewrite, another was because I felt like people saw Chapter 1 and got a bad first impression. With that off my chest, I hope y'all will enjoy the story!
