Lin Ye was really confused why he was feeling like this now.

Obviously, he came here to take a vacation to relax, but he was feeling even more tired than when he went to work.

Kids... He was taking care of children.

Tonight, Lin Ye was seeing Olivia in a new light. She had to take care of that gremlin all alone for so long. Her patient must be like a saint now, even more than that he bet.

He had to take Ifrit to the dining hall below them to get a snack for her. Luckily, the hotel had a small restaurant. He was not in the mood to walk around the town now. He was tired and it was a bit late now.

However, being the little devil that she was, she said that the barbeque was not that delicious. She then said that she wanted to make her own food.

To avoid paying for the damage that would come from letting her cook, he went and asked the chef to let him use the kitchen. The chef was confused but nonetheless let him cook his own dish. Lin ye paid for the ingredients of course.

After cooking some barbeque for her, it only took one bite from his food to make her eyes widened.

She was enjoying his cooking. That's good.

However, she was reluctant to acknowledge this.

She ate the food in silence with her eyes growing brighter with every bite she took. Then, Lappland saw this and silently stole a bit of his cooking from Ifrit.

With how her eyes widened when he took a bite of it, Lin Ye sighed and went in the kitchen again to cook something up for her too.

He was happy that he could make some decent food. He was not the greatest chef but he was decent.

His mother's would always be his favourite.

What he did not know was that, even the chef of the hotel was impressed with how good his dish was.

Finally, after finishing their food, Lin Ye followed the instructions that Ptilopsis asked him to do and tried to give some medicines for Ifrit.

However, Ifrit was as bad as Liz when it came to feeding medicine.

She kept on tossing and turning in her room.

So, with how hard it was to give them to her, Lin Ye was forced to use the secret move.

"Don't make me call your mother."

Only then did Ifrit take the medicine, unwillingly and reluctantly at that.

Lin Ye patted her head when she did that and apologized for doing that to her.

Lin Ye sighed and thought that Ifrit was a bit better than Liz. At least that she agreed with him in the end and ate her medicines.

Liz said that she was not hungry and said that she would stay in her room.

Lin Ye still brought Pineapple buns for her.

When he handed her them, Liz looked like she wanted to push away the treat but after seeing how he had used his money for her, she took it.

Lin Ye smiled, patted her head and went out to go to his room.

Then Lappland ran up to him.

She was still hungry and wanted to eat more.

Lin Ye originally wanted to just give her some money so that she could buy her own.

However, he did not trust her. This girl would definitely go crazy and demolish the restaurant, and he couldn't afford to pay for the damage.

As a last resort, to be on the safe side, Lin Ye went to eat with Lappland again.

He had two but food two times now. He even had to cook for her again. She said she wanted his cooking and would not eat anything other than that.

That meant he lost twice the amount of money tonight.

When he returned to his room, he suddenly felt relieved, as if he had accomplished some difficult mission.

Then he realized that this was the first day and that he would need to go through this for at least three more days.

Lin Ye sighed tiredly at the thought.

He thought that he could relax but he was more tired than ever now.

He saw Skadi waiting for him in the room.

She said that she wasn't hungry so she wanted to stay. That and she did not like crowded areas.

As he went in he noticed something odd with how Skadi was behaving now.

Skadi was sitting on her bedside without speaking. Her face looked as if she was thinking about something serious.

So, Lin Ye waited for Skadi to finish her thoughts.

"..."

"..."

Seeing that Skadi was still quiet, he called her out, "Skadi? What's the matter?"

Skadi looked up at Lin Ye. Then she shook her head.

Lin Ye was becoming more curious by this, "Did something happen when I was gone?"

Skadi stayed silent for a while, then she finally answered him, "I just saw a strange person."

"A strange person?" Lin Ye is somewhat curious, "What did they do?"

"Nothing," Skadi shook her head and slowly said, "However, she felt familiar to me. As if I have seen her somewhere before, but I'm sure that I haven't seen her."

"Is that so?" Lin Ye nodded at this, "This kind of thing often happens."

"Does it happen often?" Skadi raised a brow at him., "What do you mean?"

"It's a very common thing. When you go to the street, you'll occasionally meet one or two people who look familiar but can't remember where we have met them," Lin Ye explained, "This kind of thing is very common."

She thought about what he said for a little bit, then nodded gently at him. "It turned out to be like this, but where did the hostility come from?"

He was about to ask to rest but something stopped him.

Lin Ye then released something. Something was not right here.

Wait, if Ifrit was knocking, the banging would be louder than this. If it was Lappland, she would be shouting "Quack Doctor!". Who is it? Liz? Liz's looking for me at this time? Must be something important.

Thinking of this, Lin Ye immediately went to open the door, "Who is it?"

However, after pushing the door open, he found that it was neither Liz, Ifrit or Lappland standing at the door.

It was a Lupo waiter in white clothing. He knew that the person in front of him was a Lupo because of how he looks. It was kind of obvious.

However, the chef hat on his head seemed comical for Lin Ye.

This hotel hired these types of people? Does the manager want to scare off their customers or something?

Then he found that the other party had a dining cart with a variety of pastries and drinks on it behind him.

The sight was quite tempting but Lin Ye, who was too tired to feel hungry, looked at them indifferently.

"Good evening, respected guest," The Lupo waiter revealed a "kind" smile to him, "It's a special late-night snack time in our hotel. You can eat whatever is on. These are the specialties of our town. I personally recommend this drink. It is..."

"Thanks but no thanks," Lin Ye cut him off, "Good night."

Before the Lupo waiter had not yet finished, Lin Ye closed the door slowly into his face.

The waiter's smile froze at this.
