A/N: Thanks for the reviews.
Olivia - I don't plan to abandon the story, I just don't know how often I will be able to post. I will try to include Winn a little more at some point, I do miss his character.
"Kara? What's wrong?" Maggie asked concerned by how tried Kara was looking.
"Nothing, I'm fine. Is Alex here?"
"No she's at work."
"Already? It's only seven." Kara pointed out.
"It's performance review time and she needs to write the reports." Maggie said.
"Weren't they due in last week?" Kara asked.
"Hence why she is in work so early." Maggie said before asking. "Want some breakfast? I am pretty sure there a Poptarts here somewhere."
"No, I'll be okay." Kara said worrying Maggie further.
"Want to talk?" Maggie offered.
"No, I'm okay. I'll see you later."

"Is Kara here?" Lena asked entering her friend's apartment that evening and only seeing Alex and Maggie.
"No. She flew off. She'll be back soon." Alex said.
"Is Kara okay?" Lena asked.
"Why?"
"We met for lunch and she was really jumpy and she didn't eat."
"Did you give a kale salad?" Maggie asked.
"No. She was running late so I ordered her a burger. But she looked at it like it was, well, kale." Lena said. "And having not eaten it she left."
"Did you see her eat today?" Maggie asked Alex.
"No. Why?"
"She turned down Poptarts this morning."
"Kara?" Alex asked confused.
"Yes." Maggie confirmed.
"Thinking about it there were loads of doughnuts left at the DEO today." Alex said. "But she's been acting normal." She added as Kara flew into the apartment.
"Hi guys." Kara said as Alex asked.
"Where's the pizza?"
"What pizza?"
"You normally bring pizza back." Alex reminded.
"Yeah, I'm not hungry." She said causing the trio to share worried glances.
"That's it. You are coming to the DEO for tests." Alex said standing. "You not eating isn't right."
"I'm fine. I just didn't sleep well last night." Kara explained.
"Nightmares?" Alex asked. When Kara nodded she asked. "Krypton?"
"No."
"Mon-El?"
"No."
"Non?" Alex guessed.
"No."
"Astra?"
"No." Kara said stumping Alex who was running out of ideas.
"Then what?"
"Pizza."
"What?" Lena asked before anyone else could.
"Landon has won." Kara said miserably.
"What do you mean?" Lena questioned, as lost as everyone else.
"All his criticism of me and my food habits. He's won. Last night I had nightmare. Only it was so much worse."
"And it was about Pizza?" Lena asked.
"And burgers and sushi. Only it was killer food." Kara explained.
"What?" Maggie jumped in.
"Killer food. Well it started as sushi, then it grew teeth and when you ate it, it'd try to eat you and it could turn other sushi into killer sushi. And it could fly and mate, and that was gross and disturbing. Then it converted burgers and pizzas and potstickers."
"So you had a dream that your food tried to eat you?" Lena asked.
"Nightmare." Kara corrected. "Hence Landon won."
"Or maybe it is because you watched Dead Sushi last night." Maggie suggested.
"No I didn't. I fell to sleep during the first two minutes."
"How do you know what Kara was watching?" Alex asked.
"She was logged into your account." Maggie said.
"Isn't all sushi dead?" Lena asked.
"Apart from the sushi in Dead Sushi." Alex said.
"And my nightmare." Kara added.
"This conversation is making very little sense." Lena said. "But even if food came alive, surely it couldn't hurt you. I mean you are basically immortal."
"Dreams aren't logical." Kara reminded her.
"But you aren't dreaming now. You are awake and logic applies. Although not always in this apartment. But you don't want to eat?" Lena asked.
"Whenever I see food I have flashbacks." Kara pointed out.
"You need to eat. You have to replace your calories." Alex said.
"I can't. Do you know what the doughnuts did?"
"Shot acid?" Lena guessed.
"How did you know?" Kara asked as Alex asked Maggie.
"Did she watch Alien as well?"
"If she did she wasn't logged in as you." Maggie said.
"Is there any food that didn't attack you?" Lena asked. "I mean why would kale attack you, you are no threat to it."
"It's evil." Kara pointed out.
"What about ice cream? I mean that couldn't get teeth could it?" Alex asked.
"No, but it turned into some sort of elastic material and tried to suffocate me."
"If I was having this conversation with anyone not in this room, I'd recommend therapy, but I don't think that will help you." Lena said.
"Of course it won't. Landon caused this." Kara said.
"Chocolate?" Alex asked, trying to think of foods her sister might want to eat.
"Turned into a molten liquid and burnt me."
"Well you have to eat so it's time to push past it." Alex said.
"I tried but there are so many little teeth." Kara said hearing a siren. "I have to go." With that she flew out of the window.
"Is a super vivid imagination a Kryptonian thing or a Kara thing?" Lena asked Alex.
"No idea." Alex said still frowning.
"There must be a neutral food she didn't dream about." Maggie said. "What about omelette?"
"If she watched Dead Sushi she'll think it is Eggy and refuse to eat." Alex said.
"What?" Lena asked.
"Don't look at me." Maggie said. "I have no idea what she is talking about either."
"Eggy was an acid squirting good zombie omelette." Alex explained.
"Still have no idea what you are talking about." Lena said. "But Maggie is right, there will be food Kara didn't dream about or food that can't be made deadly. What about a Superfood?" Lena asked. "As in one of the ones Kara doesn't object to, like blueberries."
"Or you could start her on juice." Maggie said.
"Aren't we over thinking this?" Lena asked. "I mean if we all sat and ate potstickers or cake, Kara would join in. Eventually anyway."
"You might be right." Alex agreed. "But last time it took a while to get over it."
"Last time?" Maggie asked.
"A couple of months after Kara got to Earth I made her watch a few movies about killer food, like Killer Klowns, The Stuff, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. And I kind of persuaded her that they were more like badly made documentaries than fiction. She became terrified of food. I got into so much trouble for that."
"And you say Landon is the evil one." Maggie muttered before asking. "How did she get over it?"
"Mom, spent a lot of time baking and then showed her the Wizard of Oz and at some point she started eating the chocolate Pecan Pie."
"So we get Eliza down to visit?" Lena asked.
"Are you kidding? I have enough stress without being blamed for this." Alex said.
"Well it is kinda your fault." Maggie said. "I mean you made her watch those movies originally."
"And it was your account she used." Lena added.
"Rather than blaming me can we figure out a way to help her?" Alex asked. "Maybe we just get rid of Landon."
"What?" Maggie asked, wondering how Alex had so casually thrown blame onto Landon.
"He set this up. Food was how he was going to murder her." Alex said.
"What?" Maggie and Lena asked.
"During the workshop Landon was asked how he would kill Kara and he was going to use takeout."
"The workshop was a couple of weeks ago." Maggie reminded her.
"And Landon is trained at getting into people's heads and screwing with them." Alex argued.
"So he planted the idea of murder by food and then the idea to watch a movie about killer food?" Lena asked.
"A really abstract movie." Maggie pointed out.
"Good point. Why not watch Candyman?" Lena asked.
"Because Candyman has nothing to do with food." Alex said.
"Then why is it called Candyman?" Lena asked.
"Have you never seen Candyman?" Kara asked flying back into the apartment.
"Why does that surprise you?" Maggie asked.
"Because it is Candyman." Kara replied. "It's a classic horror movie."
"But I grew up with Lex, I didn't need any more horror." Lena pointed out.
"And despite that upbringing Lena can have a conversation without being paranoid." Maggie said looking at Alex.
"Did you just compliment me?" Lena asked.
"Don't get used to it." Maggie warned as a large growl rumbled across the room.
"You need to eat." Alex said to her sister who shook her head.
"How did they stop the killer sushi?" Lena asked. "Or was it one of those movies where they lost?"
"They found their inner chef." Alex said.
"So that's not going to work." Lena said. "Unless the dream was your subconscious telling you that you need to learn how to cook. Although that would cause the local takeout economy to tank." She added as there was another rumble.
"What about pancakes?" Alex asked. "Or birthday cake."
"I'll be fine." Kara said.
"You have helped out with a DEO operation, a fire, two bank robberies and did some training. Plus whatever you just did." Alex listed. "You need to eat."
"I will. Tomorrow. Or after I have forgotten the dreams."
"Hang on." Maggie said looking through her bag before pulling out a bag. "Have these."
"Welch's Fruit Snacks?" Kara asked.
"Were they in your nightmare?" Maggie asked.
"Well no."
"Well there you go."
"Why do you have something that resembles snack food?" Alex asked Maggie.
"Sometimes I need a sugar rush and they have fruit in." Maggie said as Kara opened the bag, looking at the contents suspiciously.
"Don't worry, it isn't good for you." Maggie said as Kara took a few pieces from the bag.
"And they look pretty docile." Lena said as Kara put one in her mouth and started chewing as she did so she pulled a face.
"What?" Alex asked.
"I can't figure out if I like them or hate them."
"Why don't you wash them down with this?" Lena said handing her a cookie which she ate.
"Distraction works every time." Lena shrugged.
"What?" Kara asked before looking at the half eaten cookie, shrugging and eating the rest of it.
