A/N: Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Guest: Thanks - I think this one might be even more zany than the last.

"Are you okay? You are looking a little pale." Landon asked Kara and Alex entered his office.

"Of course she isn't okay, thanks to you she isn't eating." Alex said, taking a seat.

"Thanks to me?" Landon asked. "What I have done?"

"Made her feel bad about eating."

"All I have ever asked is for you to think about why you eat." Landon said.

"That's easy. Calories." Alex said. "We need energy to live. Food gives us energy. Why do you have to over complicate everything?"

"I don't. I just asked for you to reflect. But I am not sure what those discussions have to do with you not eating." He said looking at Kara.

"She's terrified the food will eat her." Alex said for Kara.

"You think food is going to kill you? Aren't you basically immortal?" He asked.

"That's your problem with what I just said?" Alex asked.

"Okay, let's go back a step. Does this food only attack you?" He asked Kara.

"No it attacks everyone."

"And what happens?"

"Some just die, on account of being eaten. But some come back as rice spewing zombies."

"That's quite a vivid image you painted."

"Well that's what happens when you try to murder me using food?" Kara said.

"I thought it was sentient food trying to murder you, not me murdering you with food?"

"In the dream it was food. In real life it was you." Kara said.

"What?" Landon asked wondering if this was in fact a nightmare.

"Don't play innocent. You planned that murder in front of everyone." Alex said.

"What murder?" He asked confused.

"Kara's murder. During training, with takeout."

"You are saying that triggered the nightmares?" Landon asked.

"Are you saying it isn't possible?"Alex countered.

"While no one knows the purpose of dreams they could be your brain's way of processing information." Landon said.

"So you admit it is possible you triggered the nightmare?" Alex said. "Shouldn't you be more careful with what you do and say. And after all the lectures you give me, shouldn't you have more self awareness?"

"Lets look at a way forward." Landon said. "Maybe you can beat it at its own game. Or rather eat it at its own game."

"What do you mean?"

"You can-out eat anything. Including mutant sushi."

"Was that a compliment or an insult?" Kara asked.

"It was an observation."

"Is Kara sick?" Winn asked as J'onn approached his workstation.

"Why?" J'onn questioned.

"Because she just walked past a box of doughnuts and didn't eat any."

"Maybe she has just finished lunch?" J'onn said. "Even Kara has her limits."

"Our Kara?" Winn asked doubtfully.

"Why else wouldn't she eat?" J'onn asked.

"I don't know." Winn said before exclaiming. "Oh my god is she pregnant?"

"She isn't' dating."

"Oh papa bear, this is going to be an awkward conversation. It's not the dating that gets you pregnant it is the -"

"I know how reproduction works." J'onn said. "But are you suggesting that Kara is sleeping round?"

"You're what?" Alex asked approaching Winn.

"No I wasn't." Winn said shrinking back in his chair.

"You said Kara was pregnant." J'onn reminded him.

"You what?" Alex asked.

"How else would you explain Kara not eating?" Winn asked.

"Landon." Alex said simply.

"Landon is the father?" Winn asked.

"Gross." Alex said. "And no. I meant he manipulated her into not eating."

"Alex-" J'onn started in a weary tone.

"He confessed as much in therapy."

"He what?" J'onn asked.

"His stunt during the training where he murdered Kara with takeout triggered a nightmare where Kara was eaten by food. Now she won't eat."

"What do you mean eaten bu food?" J'onn asked.

"Just that. Food comes to life, gets teeth and eats people." Alex listed.

"Wait, that sounds suspiciously like Dead Sushi." Winn said.

"What sounds like sushi" J'onn asked confused.

"There is no way to explain this to someone who hasn't even seen Star Wars." Winn said before looking at Alex and asking.

"Did you let her watch Dead Sushi?"

"I don't control her TV." Alex pointed out.

"I thought we agreed she should never watch it."

"What does Kara's TV have to do with a sushi restaurant?" J'onn asked confused.

"What?" Alex asked. "Dead Sushi is Japanese movie."

"About?" J'onn asked.

"Sushi coming to life and killing people." Alex said.

"And Kara watched it?" J'onn asked still not completely following.

"Well the start, she said she slept through it."

"What does any of that have to do with her not eating?"

"Well technically that part is Landon. He triggered the nightmares of being eaten by food."

"Let me get this straight, Kara had a nightmare about being eaten by food and now won't eat?" J'onn asked.

"A nightmare planted by Landon." Alex emphasised.

"My money is on Dead Sushi." Winn said.

"Hey guys." Supergirl said approaching.

"My office." J'onn said leading her off. Seeing Alex was following he added. "Just Supergirl."

"What did I do?" Supergirl mouthed to Alex.

"Now." J'onn said.

Once they were both in J'onn's office and the door shut Alex turned to Winn and said. "Find out what they are saying."

-00-

"Kara, you need to eat." J'onn said.

"Yeah that isn't really happening." Kara replied.

"It isn't negotiable."

"You can't order me to eat."

"Technically I can."

"Fine, but you can't make me eat."

"I can suspend you."

"Wouldn't you need to employ me and pay me to do that?" Kara asked.

"I could call Eliza." J'onn said as outside the office Winn turned to Alex and said.

"You might want to run."

"Why?"

"J'onn has just suggested calling Eliza."

"What? Why?"

"Either because he is worried or angry, hard to tell. With you two it is normally both."

"So I have come up with a plan." Lena said entering Kara's apartment that evening. "I mean I assumed the rumble I heard in the lobby was Kara's stomach complaining at the lack of food."

"Good guess." Alex said.

"So here you go." Lena said handing Kara box.

"What is it?" Kara asked looking through the box first. "Are these toys?"

"Some people just open the box rather than use x-ray vision." Lena said. "But yes they are wind up walking sushi. Maguro Nigiri, Maki and tamago sushi and ebi."

"I hate to ask, but why?" Maggie questioned.

"Immersion therapy If Kara gets used to these running round, but not eating her, perhaps she'll start eating. If not she has new friends for Si-"

"For what?" Maggie asked.

"For singing to." Alex cut in as Kara suspiciously watched the toy sushi whizzing round the floor.

"So feeling hungry yet?" Lena asked Kara.

"No, it is bringing my nightmares to life."

"Except they aren't eating you." Maggie pointed out.

"Where did these come from? Could Toyman be behind them?" Kara asked.

"According to the base of them, Taiwan." Lena said as there was a knock on the door.

"It's J'onn." Kara said before opening it.

"Hey boss." Kara greeted, her voice accompanied by a rumble.

"Still not eating?" J'onn guessed.

"No."

"Why is there sushi running round the room?" He asked seeing the toys whizzing round.

"Immersion therapy, apparently." Kara said.

"Sometimes I really feel like an alien." J'onn said not understanding what she was talking about. "But if you can spare some time from playing with toys, I spoke to Eliza-"

"You did?" Alex asked frowning.

"I did. And she made this for you." He said holding out a box.

"Is that chocolate pecan pie?" Kara asked sniffing.

"It is." J'onn confirmed as a siren sounded.

"Gotta go." Kara said disappearing.

"Where' s mom?" Alex asked as J'onn out the pie down.

"Midvale. She couldn't come down so I picked it up, but she said she can come this weekend if you want."

"No need, Kara will be eating by then, even if I have to force that pie down her." Alex said.

"So your plan is digestive immersion?" Maggie asked.

"Nothing else has worked." Alex pointed out.

"Can I try something?" Maggie asked.

"Of course." Alex said. "Anything to stop the barrage of lectures I am going to get form mom."

"And to help Kara?" Lena suggested.

"False alarm, I think it was a doughnut run." Kara said returning. Seeing the disapproving look from Maggie. "No seriously they pulled up outside the shop and came out a minute later with a big box."

"So you wasted energy that you aren't replacing to watch cops live up to a stereotype?" Alex asked.

"Can you give us a minute?" Maggie asked.

"Um sure." Alex said.

"Why don't you go buy some dinner?" Maggie suggested.

"Okay." Alex agreed leading J'onn and Lena out.

"You think Kara is going to be okay?"

"What do you think Maggie is going to do to her?" Alex asked.

"Covert her into a vegan?" Lena suggested.

"No chance." Alex said. "So what food should we get?"

"You get potstickers, you get pizza and I will get ice cream." J'onn said to Alex and Lena.

"You do remember Kara isn't eating?" Alex asked.

"She will be by the time we get back." J'onn said.

"How can you be so sure?"

"I'm a telepath and Maggie was projecting her plan."

"Which was?" Alex asked.

"Guilt."

"Isn't that Alex's motivation not Kara's?" Lena asked.

"We'll find out soon." J'onn said.

"We bring food." The trio said entering the apartment thirty minutes later. "We have all your favourites."

"Great." Kara said suspiciously flicking the pizza box open and looking at the food. Finally she picked up a slice and said to Alex.

"I'm going to eat my way through it. So you can eat." Kara said.

"You never share." Alex pointed out.

"Sure I do. Eat up."

"After you." Alex said causing Kara to shut her eyes and take a bite.

"Tastes good." She said. "Now you."

"Umm okay." Alex said taking a slice of pizza.

"Feeling better?" Kara asked once Alex had finished the slice.

"Shouldn't you be answering that question?" Alex asked confused.

"I'm more resilient."

"Than what?" Alex asked confused.

"You." Kara said as fire trucks zoomed past. "Don't eat it all." She said flying off.

"What was that about?" Alex asked Maggie.

"I implied that you had given up food as an act of solidarity." Maggie said. "And that you wouldn't eat until she did."

"You lied to her?" Lena asked.

"No, just made a few statements that led to wild assumptions."

"So like Alex in therapy then?" Lena suggested.
