System: Zalzamel (Rewritten) Chapter 1: Birth, a hunter x hunter fanfic

A/N: Its rewrite time except the chapter is almost the same, except for the last part.

Warning: This is rated M for gore, graphic eating (since it's about chimera ants, I'll try not to do this as much), mentions of cannibalism but otherwise not shown.

Edit: lmfao, I thought vore was gore for eating. Also, it ain't cannibalism if it isn't your own species that you're eating.

Also just saying... This fic would be very very slow until chapter 6 where the plot actually kickstarts.

I made my way into my apartment building, ignoring the heaps of garbage and the smell that was coming through the mask that I was wearing. I walked through the mostly empty hallways and stairs, as the low sounds of TV, music, and such escaped the confines of the rooms.

I spotted my door, opening it, and locking it behind me, I put the perishable food in the plastic bag into my sizable fridge. Looking into my plastic bag, I saw that it only had a can of coffee milk and some chips left. Ehh, good enough for a midnight snack...

I made my way into the bathroom, dumping off my smelly clothes on the basket and took a quick shower. Humming to the beat of 'Fly Me to the Moon', I shampooed my hair. After rinsing off the soap suds, I stepped out of the shower and changed into comfortable clothes. I went straight into my room grabbing the chips and the can of coffee milk.

I entered my room in which cans of drinks, empty bags of chips, and crumpled paper stuffed into an almost full trash can. Better dump them tomorrow.

I went to one of the places which were relatively cleaner than the rest, my computer desk. I sat on the plastic chair as I booted my computer up. I put on my orange and black headphones, the only real gift that I have ever received from outside my family, and listened to the music player that automatically opened.

Hm, what to do?

I checked my Games folder, which was filled with pirated games, and saw nothing that I haven't already completed. Opening my Steam account which was only filled with a few paid games, I booted up some games and left as I got bored fairly quickly. Let's just browse the net...

Checking through social media websites and seeing that there was nothing but people saying something which they had no idea about. I went to YouTube instead, watched the few YouTubers that I liked, and still were making quality, entertaining ones.

I checked through my feed but I wasn't seeing anything that was interesting to me. I went to some fanfic websites and saw some interesting ones. I followed them all and saw that there were no updates, I felt bored and tired after a day's work.

Not even in the mood nor having the energy to watch porn or something anymore, I scratched my head, yawning. Putting the chips and coffee beside my bed, I drop down on my bed.

I surrounded myself with an abundance of pillows and played a love song on my phone whilst checking if my alarm was on. Now comfortable and my thoughts calmed, I closed my eyes and thought to myself.

'Hope there's no work tomorrow. '

When I woke up, I was surrounded by nothing. It felt so, so wrong. I couldn't feel, smell, hear, taste nor see anything. It was terrifying and like any sane, mentally sound person would do, I freaked out, jumping to a conclusion.

Am I in a vegetative state?!

Not that I didn't have any close relatives or anything. My older brother of 9 years is still alive and he was already happily married with two kids, another one on the way, he and his wife sure work fast given that he was only reaching 28. My dad and my mum already passed on peacefully a while back on their beds. Any other living relative of mine, I wasn't that close with. We were just acquaintances, knowing that we had similar blood running through our veins.

I had a few friends in my workplace but not close enough that they will be depressed that I died, just a few tears and they'll go back to being normal after a few hours or so. The few good friends I had before weren't in contact with me nowadays, mostly busy with our separate careers though they would be sad, they'll move on, the bastards... I smiled at the previous things we had done before, happy, sad, or embarrassing.

The few regrets I had weren't that important for me, something like not turning off my phone or erasing my browse-. Okay, the latter is pretty important for my dignity. Talking about the latter, I also didn't get laid... Fuck. Not to mention a girlfriend! I would sigh if I could but I couldn't... At least I don't have work for today... Or any future days for that matter...

After a few minutes (?) of silence, my thoughts turned back to the glowing white box.

I read and read for a while, taking in the colorful backgrounds of the world. Some were really interesting, like a world where only shrimps existed. And such and such. Though they were mostly filled with anime and game worlds.

I mulled over and thought about it. My original world is a no-no for me, as much as I want to go back and relive my life. My brother and friends would probably slap me if I missed a chance to go to another world. Fucking weebs, though I can't say that I'm not being a hypocrite. So what world should I choose?

In a forest, a dark cave resided. Surrounded by a massive thicket of forests and mountains, it was left undiscovered for a long time. The vines and moss-covered the entrance, hiding its presence from anyone that doesn't know where it was originally located.

In it, the Queen lay in watch, as she watched the egg she had been waiting for, rippling as the figure, vaguely similar to a powerful prey one of her children brought her, inside of it moved. Beside her, the only Royal Guard she had birthed as of yet, watched as they waited for their King to get out his shell.

An arm, similar to that of a human hand covered in a black exoskeleton burst open the shell ripping it open. From it, a black figure dropped down. It slowly stood up as its eyes glowed red, tail whipping behind it. The aura surrounding it a dark purple as it calmly flowed throughout its body.

The Queen watched in fascination, as she released a telepathic signal that traveled out the cave to alert children. Traveling through the massive thicket of trees, several figures surrounding the forest blitzed through it as they received a message from their Queen.

That message was,

The King has been born.
