Commander Shepard is the sole survivor with a synthetic sole, among other augmentations due to the Akuze incident. She's suppressed her emotions and ignored persuasions to retire in her willingness to continue her tour of duty, relying on medication to help with her nightmares and the phantom pains that have persisted. People think it's determination. It's just a distraction.

Due to a drive core malfunction, a human vessel arrives just in time to save the Council Envoy from the yahg. What happens when humanity enters the galactic stage not as the race that got attacked by the turians for breaking a law they weren't aware of, but as the race that saved a turian platoon from certain death? M for wartime violence, pre ME1 - ME3, no OP humanity.

Here is a large chunk of my own Shepard story. It's heavily based on the game, so much of the dialogue will be recognizable, with my own flair added in for spice to fill in a few blanks. Following his death, Liara needs a little help packing up Shepard's things.

HMS Isaac Newton and HMS Alexander Fleming open the Shanxi Relay. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. The following course of events would lead to Humanity's first hot war in over a century, a war which could have exploded into full on Interspecies Total War, assuming of course the various human nations could even agree on anything.

He wants to hurt her. He wants her to react. He wants her to apologize, to regret. He wants her to swear this isn't her doing. He needs her to do this. Or he will explode from all the anger and resentment and sadness that have been filling him for so long. But she stays silent.

Cerberus had always experienced setbacks and failures. With Rasa gone and the Courier defecting, Zachary Turner and Katherine Blanchett were assigned to assess and scout for candidates for the Lazarus Cell. However, Zachary was plagued by his bigotry towards aliens while Katherine was haunted by her past. Should they fail, the project would soon follow.

From the beginning of ME2 onward, Shepard is tasked with the impossible. Resistance against all odds, both external and those whom call themselves 'allies'. Unlike the story of ME in the games, I will attempt to go through a few situations in a more logical way. Mostly canon, though with clear AU concepts in the future! Shepard has always kept his personal life to himself. With good reason. A life working with the alliance was led by many guidelines. The responsibilities, and freedoms, of being a spectre started to blur those lines. This will follow a similar structure to the game but has undergone serious deviations. MShepXTali. She's a fierce warrior who doesn't take crap from anyone. Their relationship remains platonic but it's a struggle with their sexual tension that could never bloom. Her love for Liara makes things difficult

While Shepard himself is prepared to answer the call, he is much less enthusiastic with the fact that he will have to work with Alliance personnel...Alliance personnel who are not happy with being assigned to fight with a supposed traitor.

There are many questions the galaxy could ask about the adventures of Commander Shepard. What if Shepard's oxygen line had never severed in the destruction of the Normandy? Will he be able to fight off the Collectors and Cerberus at once? Will the Council recognize anything as a threat as Cerberus starts a three-way war when things don't go their way over Alchera?
