Arc Two – Flame of the Phoenix

Amazing to see High School DXD – Rise of Dragons has raised to be my second favorite story to write, which I hope everyone is ready to take a little time off from the action. However, do not sell this story short because we are going to get back into the action for very soon and I hope everybody enjoys the chapter and new arc as well.

(January 15, 2012 – Occult Research Club)

Issei walks through Occult Research Club's hallways with his thoughts brought back the ideas of how Raynare and Mittelt were getting comfortable staying at his house, which Rias has accepted them inside the club. Hearing the door open, to reveals it was Koneko, and she was surprised to see Issei has arrived in the clubroom first with her question, "Issei, you are here first." The tone was comfortable for Issei to hear the words with his lips forms a bright smile, and nods at her. Then Koneko remembers about how Issei looked like when he was activating his dragon powers.

"Yes, I am, and I found those bra and panties hanging out in the open, so I fold them then put them on a wooden cabinet, which I hope the person using the shower does not mind." Issei told Koneko with a gentle voice, and Koneko was going to call 'Issei' pervert. However, she could tell that Issei was not like the other perverts in Kuoh Academy, and the real question for Occult Research Club does not know anything about Issei Hyoudou or his past.

The shower was turn off, revealing it to be Asia with a large white towel surround her beautiful body. As Issei looks at her, she will ask her where her clothes are, and she sees her clothes at the wooden cabinet folded to fold. "Hey, Issei," Koneko speaks with a gentle tone, and he turns his head back around to sees her went to sit down the opposite of him with her expression stays the same as stoic.

"What's up?" Issei responds to her.

"We don't know much about you or your past. So, can I ask… What were you like in the past?" Koneko asks the deep question, which Issei looks down at the chessboard with the pieces were mixed with the King had strong points to take another place for his next journey.

"Oh, we would love to hear the story too." Raynare and Mittelt enter the Occult Research Clubroom with gentle smiles as Issei sighs because his life story was not interesting or boring.

Rias, Kiba, and Akeno enter the clubroom as Issei explained his backstory as Rias becomes interested in what her Pawn was like before they join them.

(January 2, 2004)

Issei Hyoudou was only six years old inside the large park of Kuoh, and he was learning how to skip rocks by his father, which his expression looks like it was going to give it up. "Son, you should never give it up until you try your best." Issei's father told him with a confident voice and bent down to helps Issei to flip his hand to skip the rock onto the lake. He places a dark silver rock in front of Issei, and his right hand took the rock then skips the rock for the first time as his lips form a warm smile because it seems that Issei did it the first time and his head turn to sees his father was proud inside of his expression.

Issei's father felt his phone goes off, and he shows firm expression, yet Issei nods at his father to answer the call because he understands that his parents were always busy. However, they always found moments or days to stay with Issei to be incredible parents in front of his sight. Issei's father steps away from Issei, and he went towards the wooden bench to talks about the business's growth, which Issei's father did not care about the growth as he was a caring man about how he can give the people the right jobs or help them up on their feet again.

Issei's mother walking towards the park with her lips forms a warm smile to see Issei skipping rocks with her sight to see her husband was sitting down on the wooden bench to describe its next project. She knew that Issei was always the understanding type of person and never took anybody for granted, yet she always knew about how the other kids would treat him as nobody or invisible.

Issei grew up knowing that his parents were always going to love and care about him even if they were halfway across the world then; his thoughts brought the many ideas of where they went around the world to build their companies.

(Present)

"So, parts of my life were always lonely, but I never really felt it before because I always kept myself busy," Issei told them with an honest tone as the girls were ready for Issei to tell them about how sad that his parents were never around with him. Yet, they were always there with him inside of his memories or heart. Issei told the rest of the group how he developed his cooking skills, fighting style for himself, and he has done little training about strategies from reading books. Occult Research could not believe how educated Issei was, yet Rias wanted to put him through the test of how educated he was, and his sight turns to look down at his hand of wondering if he could handle powers inside of his spirit and body.

The dragon inside of Issei reveals his glowing green eyes as many thoughts' surfaces around his mind, for it was almost time of training for Issei will begin tomorrow because he needs to learn how to harass this massive power inside of himself and focus on what path he is going to walk on.

"That leaves us to Asia," Rias speaks to Asia with a gentle tone, and her lips form a warm smile about where she should stay for the time being. Asia turns her attention and sees Issei noticing her sight. Then, she begins to think about saying she wants to stay close to Issei's side.

"I believe she would love to stay with us," Raynare speaks to her new group of friends in a comfortable tone and sits down next to Issei, which the girls show distaste of how close Issei and Raynare with one another.

"Yes, I believe she will be a good companion," Mittelt speaks her opinion towards the group, with her lips forms a gentle smile.

Inside of Rias' heartfelt jealously over Issei and Raynare's relationship that they have built together as her thoughts, "I wish I could have someone as amazing and strong will person as Issei is." The first time she laid her glaze onto Issei, she felt his warmness and comfortable aura around him were hard to ignore.

Asia could not wait to move in with Issei, Raynare, and Mittelt, which they were happy as Akeno, Koneko, Kiba, and Rias begins to figure out that Issei was not only a gentle person. However, he was someone who can put everyone in good understanding within each other as Issei looks at the group of wondering if something was wrong?

"Is something wrong, guys?" Questions Issei, his tone was worried about their glancing at him.

"Oh, it's nothing," Rias responds to him with a gentle voice, and she was looking away from him with her lips forms a warm smile.

Issei strokes his chin, comfortable with his hand, and begins to think about the group as they need to take care of them, which Issei speaks again with a soft tone, "Maybe we should go and take a break since the battle was intense." His tone was comfortable for everyone to hear his plan about taking a little break from the training. Besides, it was good for them to take it easy.

The girls begin to think about taking a break by going to the beach. Then girls were trying their best to see what Issei would look like inside swimming trunks with Issei turns his head to find the girls were looking at him with great impressions of what he would look like. His head tilts into confusion because the girls show intensely blushing on their cheeks as Issei shrugs his shoulders about the idea for the girls were acting weird around him.

Asia turns her head away because there was no way for her to act like that since she was a child of God, yet she found the idea of trying to stay close with him. The idea kept invading Asia's thoughts; then it brought many obstacles because she grew up inside the church, and she always learns never to take advantage of another person.

"How about we go to the beach?" Issei questions the girls with a comfortable tone as the girls nod at the agreement, and they would need to go to stores to get new swimming suits to see his reaction.

Issei waves at the girls because they wanted to go to a store as his shoulders shrug into confusion and begin to travel back to his home to figure out what the girls were up to by going to the store by themselves. His thought brought many ideas to get something for dinner, yet Issei shakes his head because the girls seem like they did not mind Issei's cooking. The ideas kept gathering on what the girls were doing to store for and "Kiba, do you know why the girls are going to store for?" Issei asks Kiba with gentle and confusion inside of his voice.

"I don't have any clues on that, Issei, and I'm sorry," Kiba responds to Issei with a calm tone beside the point of trying to figure what the girls are up to. Kiba begins to leave for his own home, and Issei went back to his home with his thoughts brought many ideas to figure out what the girls are doing right now.

(Kuoh's Clothing Store)

Rias, Asia, Akeno, Koneko, Raynare, and Mittelt were on a mission to find the right swimsuit and knock. Issei's mind as the girls went from sexy and beautiful ones to revealing ones as Mittelt found a blue bikini which was two-piece as she turns her attention back to sees the girls were trying their best to decide. Issei lies down at the hill at the center of Kuoh Academy, and he was reading one of the books from the library as she could tell that he was alone, and he did not have any friends to speak of. Koneko minded her own business, yet she found Issei's aura had warmness and something that makes the person wanted to be near him. She turns her head back forward and continues her journey back to Occult Research Club as Koneko sneaks little glances at Issei because it seems that nobody wanted to hang out with him.

"Issei Hyoudou, do you ever feel alone like I did?" Asked Koneko, her tone was quiet and depressed because the strings of her dark past came back into her mind to replay again.

-Flashback Ends-

Issei turns his head back to the wooden table, and his mind brought back how Raynare, Mittelt, and Asia at the store for unknown reasons. He releases a soft sigh for Issei to places the plate down with a cup of sweet tea, and then Issei begins to eat the dinner quietly as his mind brought the memories of how he used to eat alone with nobody inside of his home. Yet, Raynare, Mittelt, and Asia came into his life.

Issei hears the front door, then he gets up from his wooden chair to found Raynare, Mittelt, and Asia have come back from their shopping trip, which he speaks, "Welcome home, Raynare, Mittelt, and Asia." His tone was honest and happy to see them as the girl forms smile because they always wanted someone to welcome them back to their warm home.

"So, are you girls hungry?" Issei questions them with a soft tone as their expressions tell him the answer to his question, which he waves his right hand for them to join him at the dining table.

The girls were happy to see the beautiful and delicious food in front of them as Raynare, Mittelt, and Asia begin to eat their food with warm smiles. The surprise to showing Issei what they look like the inside of their bikini suits as their hopes brought the spirits for Issei to enjoy or like the sight of them inside of new swimming suits they are going to wear.

"So, you girls ready to take that vacation?" Issei asks them with a gentle voice and notices the girls were nervous, with their cheeks turn intense red as they knew that the trip could help them get closer to Issei.

(January 17, 2012 – The Beach)

Issei wears dark blue swimming trunks as it reveals his good-looking body, and Issei was incredibly built as he was watching the dark and light blue ocean waves were slightly coming to develop onto the beach's shores.

It was a little awkward at first, but the feeling drops slowly for the girls to sit down at Issei's side as he turns his attention to sees Kiba was still practicing his swimming techniques and his lips form a warm smile because it seems that he has found a group of friends.

Unknown to the group as dark orange with dark crimson feather tips, the phoenix bird watched the group from the forest as the dark blue eyes watched the group. "The Gremory Group seems like that they have grown soft during the times of peace… Maybe I should step up and teach them a lesson about the dangers of leaving the battle zones with no plan." A man spoke with a serious tone, which his outfit was a black shirt and dark blue long pants.

The man was sitting on the middle couch of the room filled with beautiful girls as his lip forms a firm smile about how his group was ready for the next Rating Game.

Who is this mysterious person, and why was he looking at Gremory Group for?
