Chapter Ten – Familiar Forest
High School DXD – Rise of Dragons has new chapter coming out today!
First, I want to say I'm very sorry for not updating my stories for a while, but I have been busy with my full-time job and trying to help someone else with their stories. However, I'm back to get my stories back on track and I'm going to try to get Arifureta – Dark Abyss back into the map again.
Special thank you goes to my beta-reader, Xyaqom for helping me with the story but I have not read his stories yet. However, I have heard of good things about them, so please check them out when you get the chance too!

(January 21, 2012 – In Occult Research Club)
Rias nods at Issei's response as she could tell that Issei has a strong connection of making new friends, then her thoughts brought more ideas of wanted to spend time with him and getting to know him better as a person. She gets up from her wooden desk and walks over to the open area of the clubroom with both her hands shows a crimson magical circle as it was ready to transport people to a new location.
Everyone gathers into the magical circle and transports them to a new area called Familiar Forest.
(At Underworld – Familiar Forest)
The sky was light purple, and the air felt smooth, which everyone sees the Familiar Forest was a large forest area which it seems that could stretch for miles with filled with dark and black silver trees as the path was clear for people to walk inside of the forest, which the question is what the forest holds inside of the forest's path. Issei was amazed by the large size of the forest with "Incredible… Is this the Familiar Forest I have heard from you, Rias?" He spoke towards Rias with a friendly tone, which Rias turns bright red because it seems that Issei calls her by her first name.
Issei turns his head to see a man with dark orange spike hair as it went down to his neck, and his eyes are dark brown with his outfit, white shirt, and dark blue long pants, which he shows gentle smile because he sees Rias and her group.
"Welcome, Lady Rias and others." The man speaks towards Rias with a respectful tone, which his sight turns to sees Issei was amazed by his surroundings with his thoughts brought the idea of Issei been dragon user.
"Thank you for having us and we would like to find a familiar for our two new users, Familiar Master." Rias speaks back to Familiar Master with a respectful tone as he turns to look at Issei then Asia, which it was going to be interesting to see who chooses them as their familiars.
(Center of Familiar Forest)
A beautiful girl with a tan body with her eyes is light golden slit and her hair dark brown with slight purple inside of her long hair which her large brown fox ears stench upwards into the air with golden and dark blue top onto her head. Her outfit was a dark blue top with a golden outline, but it covered her large 32 C cup breasts, and her waist holds a white dress down to her legs as she gets up from the ground that she was laid on. Her height was 5'5, and her weight is 168 pounds, but she had an attractive body. Strong scent has entered her smell, which was strong and warm as her thoughts brought the ideas of meeting this person as her thoughts, "What is this strong scent and where is it coming from?" Her dark brown fox tail swings back and forth with little excitement, which she begins to walk over to find the powerful scent.
She begins to gather the strength to start walking over to find the scent as her excitement will get the best of her, yet she wanted to get out of this forest to explore the new world. However, the only way for that to happen is she gets a master, yet she always turns down the other users because they did not have the strong scent to make her their own.

Issei and Asia see many creatures and wolves, tigers, leopards, and cheetahs as they were different colors as Issei and Asia found them interesting, yet none of them step forward to test them willingly of their master's strength.
"It seems the first-grade creatures have already test you and it seems that you two are very powerful users." The familiar master spoke with an honest tone as Issei was a little confused and turned his head to see Rias and the others smiling for Issei and Asia to find someone in Familiar Forest to help them in their journey.
Issei and Asia continue to forward deeper into the Familiar Forest as the group sees a large cave with darkness inside of it, which Familiar Master was surprised to see the dark silver hydra dragon appears out of the darkness. It had five heads, and the creature steps out of the dragons to have a dark blue jewel center of its body as one of the heads leans forward to smells Issei and Asia.
"You two should back away slowly… Try not to cause any problems." A familiar master tells Issei and Asia how to handle the hydra, yet it seems the creature likes Issei a lot with his hand strokes the heads comfortable and smooth with the others are a surprise to see hydra allows Issei to pet it. "This is incredible sight to see… Usually the hydra attacks anybody but I have never seen it like this before." The familiar master speaks again with a shocked voice because it seems the hydra found itself a potential partner.
Issei steps away from the dragon as his lips form a gentle smile as hydra knew that Issei was a powerful dragon user, yet it knows that Issei needs a familiar who matches him.
"Don't worry… I will come and see you again, hydra." Issei spoke with an honest tone, and his lips form a warm smile for the mighty dragon shows sadness inside of their eyes, but they will keep Issei for his promise to visit them and hopeful bring items from his world to tell them about it. His right-hand waves goodbye at Hydra dragon as three of the head tilts into curious as the other heads look at its right-wing then begins to copy the movements from Issei, which it was waving goodbye for Issei.
A familiar master with everyone was surprised to see Issei was still alive, and the encounter of the hydra was a legendary interaction between the two dragons as he turns his head to sees a beautiful lake filled with light blue crystal water. The others begin to follow Issei towards the lake as their thoughts brought many ideas of what just happened then "How did you do that?" The familiar master asked Issei with a surprising tone to stay inside his voice. Then, Issei did not know how to answer the question towards the Familiar Master.
"I just don't know… I just felt connection with it." Issei told Familiar Master and everyone with a firm tone about the connection he felt with Hydra Dragon as Issei looks at the beautiful tan fox girl looking at Issei, which they felt a strong bond between one another. He shakes his head for his thoughts, bringing more ideas of imagination, and Issei looks up to see the girl was gone from his sight.
Familiar master noticed that fox girl would make appearance time and time again to see who has entered the Familiar Forest, yet he always had bad luck on trying to get her with someone of Devil's side. He releases a soft breath. She was always shaking her head 'no' because she felt no connection, or their hearts were not pure for her to make a connection with them. The familiar master nods as he turns his head to allow the Red Dragon user to go on his own and find his own partner because the familiars seem like they were not going to come to see anybody else than Issei Hyoudou.
"Are you sure it's wise for him to go on his own?" Asked Rias, her tone was worried about her pawn as the Familiar Master nods at the agreement to allow Issei to travel out on his own to find his familiar.
Issei begins to leave the group and travels on his own; the first stop was a dark silver mystical forest with many mystical wolves sees Issei. However, they allow him to walk away from trying not to cause any problems, and he went to the next location to see a beautiful waterfall, which Issei did not find any creatures near his location. He was going forward into the Familiar Forest, yet he could not find any familiars that would catch his sight as Issei releases a soft breath then stops in his tracks of the middle for the path.
"Why are you following me for?" Asked Issei, his tone was firm, and turns his attention towards the black forest tree, which the same fox girl comes out of her hiding position.
"Impressive that you could sense my energy and I was even trying to hide my existence away from you." She spoke with confidence inside of her voice about her abilities to hide away from everyone then Issei shows a light expression, but she could tell that he was looking at her eyes and not her body, which the others who seek her out were only interested in her body to mate with her or see her naked, yet this person front of her to sees no interest of bad thoughts inside of her mind. "You are very interest to seek my beauty out and I'm not here to see your potential, but may I ask you why you adventured into the forest so far?" She questions Issei with a comfortable tone, and his head turns to sees no other creatures in where of their sight.
"I went alone to try and find my familiar in this forest, but I can't find any matches for my personality or matching my strength." Issei responds back to the fox girl, and he could feel a strong aura around her presence.
"No!" Issei and the fox girl heard a loud 'no' in the distance coming from the west of the Familiar Forest, which Issei could tell was Asia as he turns his head back to the fox girl. "I'm very sorry to cut this short but I must leave." Issei told her with a firm tone as he begins to be running back to his team to help them out.
Fox girl was reaching her right hand to stop Issei from running away from her because she remembers how her family left her in the Familiar Forest to protect her from the threats, but she had grown up as a little fox with no trust or love from the others who have come to see who can claim their familiars. So, she had to decide to help Issei and his team or leave them to try to get another team to take her in, yet she remembers everyone who came through the forest.
Issei was racing through the Familiar Forest as the girls were trying to defeat a large dark green slime monster as it roars at the group with Kiba was trying to get freed from his grasps with the girls were stuck in their solution of slime as Issei could see their clothing was getting eaten away from the slime's effects. The girls were surprised to see Issei and throw his jacket, and his powers appear around his body. Then Issei throws a strong punch towards the left section of the chest area. However, the slim body regeneration is on the left side as Issei could not believe the powerful attack would not work against this slime creature. Then Familiar Master strokes his chin comfortably with his hand.
"Damnit… How am I post to destroy something if it keeps regeneration?" Issei was asking himself with deep thoughts inside of his mind.
A slime monster throws a strong punch towards Issei, and Issei dodges the incoming attack by going underneath the attack as his dark crimson dragon energy shoots to destroy another arm from the creature, which he flips himself back onto his feet then Issei sees the creature grew another arm as Issei's eyes were shocked because his energy was not enough to destroy this monster.
Slime monster was going to hit Issei with his left hand from strong punch, and he jumps away from the attack then dark blue lightning hits slime's head as Issei turns to sees it was a dark blue baby dragon with a white underbelly as its dark blue eyes look at Issei.
"Oh, that's lightning dragon." A familiar master told everyone about the lightning dragon, and the dragon lays down on Issei's shoulder, which Issei gathers dark crimson energy to throws the blast with the combination of dark blue lightning from the dragon, yet it was not enough to eliminate the slime monster.
"Damnit… We need more power." Issei was telling him with a firm tone, and the slime creature was going to attack Issei, and the little dragon with hammer slam down with it is hands. Issei grabs the little dragon to protect it from the attack as the little dragon could not believe it because of the dragon.
The little dragon was surprised to see Issei protecting him from the slime creature's attack, yet the attack never came because the midnight blue flame shot went towards the slime creature. Issei and the little dragon first see the tan fox girl as Familiar Master could not believe it for tan fox girl made her presence known to the others.
"You are not allowed to touch my dragon!" Tan fox girl spoke with a firm tone towards the slime creature as her hands took the form of dark brown fox paws.
The familiar master was shocked to hear the words from the tan fox girl as the girls show great jealously for Issei because it seems that there was another rival for Issei's affection. "Thank you, Egyptian Fox." Issei speaks back to her with a comfortable tone, and the tan fox girl shows a bright red expression for Issei called her a cool name. His mind brought the idea of how to defeat this slime creature and gathers the energy inside of their hands as the attack was midnight red blast, which sends the slime creature away from them.
Issei sees the girl's clothes revealing for him to see their bodies from the slime, which he turns his head away from, trying his best not to look at them because it seems that the girls were revealing their cleavages and beautiful bodies of the girls. His expression holds dark red as Rias fixed the clothes for the girls as the girl nods at Ria's for helping them out, which Raynare and Mittelt were checking to see if Issei was alright.
"Thank you for helping me out, little dragon and Egyptian fox." Issei went towards the little dragon with a gentle tone as his right hand extends as a fist bump with the little dragon and Egyptian fox girl. Little dragon tilts his head but shares the fist bump with Issei, and the Egyptian fox girl turns away because she did not want to admit it, yet Issei was an incredible person out in the fight.
"Zaira… My name is Zaira." She introduces herself to Issei with a firm tone.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Zaira and I'm Issei Hyoudou." Issei told Zaira with an honest tone, and they felt a strong connection between one of them.
(Entrance of Familiar Forest)
Issei sees warm smile for dark blue dragon has decided to stay at Asia's side and the little dragon turns his head to looks at Issei then he nods at Issei to make silent promise to protect and watch over the girl. Issei turns his head because he could not find any familiar in the Familiar Forest, yet he was happy to see that Asia has found a familiar for herself.
"Issei, don't worry about finding one besides, I believe you become strong to get another next moon." Mittelt tells her boyfriend with confident tone as Issei nods at her and hugs her which she was surprised at first at the embracement. However, she wraps her hands around him to hug him back and Issei pulls away from the hug to sees the other girls were jealous of Issei and Mittelt new relationship with one another.
A tree's branch makes crack as everyone turns to find Zaira on the ground with her bubble shaped butt for Issei to see it then he turns away from her. Zaira gets up from the ground and looks at Issei of happy to see that he has not left the forest yet. She was going to stop Issei from leaving the forest without a familiar as she went over to Issei with her request then "I-I-Issei, please take me as your familiar!" Zaira speaks out loudly for everyone to hear it and she wanted to be part of his team.
Familiar Master could not believe it, but Zaira the fox was turning people away or she never gave them a glance because she could feel their dishonest feelings towards her, yet here she was asking for Issei Hyoudou, the Red Dragon Emperor to take her as his familiar.
"Very well, but you are not my familiar…" Zaira was surprised to hear Issei say that to her, but he continues to speak, "You are going to be my friend." With his honest tone and his lips forms warm smile which it makes her cheeks turns intense red. Everyone was surprised to hear the news that Issei has made his familiar into his friend which they never thought about turning their familiar into one of their friends, yet here he was doing the one thing that familiar was not used to be called.
Zaira bends down one knee as she closes her eyes front of Issei and "I, Issei Hyoudou make you my familiar and whenever I call you then you shall come to me or answer to me." Issei places the spell of familiar onto Zaira then she shows gentle smile towards him. Issei offers his right-hand to help her up onto her feet and Zaira takes his hand with her own then she felt the deep connection with Issei again.
Issei with Zaira went to the others as the girls shows jealously smiles for Zaira because it seems that they have another rival for Issei. Raynare took his right arm then Mittelt went for his left side, which he felt their breasts onto his arms as they say, "Just don't get any funny ideas, Zaira because Issei is ours."
"Well, he is my master, and I will do anything to make him happy." Zaira tells them with warm smile as her breasts pushes against his chest as the others could see that Issei already has three girls underneath him for his affections. However, one girl shows sadistic giggle because she could tell Issei was interesting person to get know and she turns her head to sees Rias shows little interest for Issei as well. Koneko shows her stoic expression but deep down she could feel herself on getting little attracted to Issei and there was Asia who was living with Issei, Raynare and Mittelt. Asia shows bright smile but her feelings for Issei were slowly developing for him.

Issei walks inside of the clubroom, and he was surprised to see a beautiful girl with dark brown hair down to middle of her backside with her outfit was school's uniform, which he speaks, "So are you getting used to school yet?" With his tone was warm towards Zaira and she was using her magic to hide her fox ears and tail.
"Yes, I am, Master Issei. But I do have to ask why I can reveal myself to others." Zaira asks Issei with confusion inside of her voice, for she did not like to hide her true self.
"Let's just say everybody is not accepting for other people like we are." Issei told her with soft tone, and he went over to strokes her hair comfortable with soft hand with his right hand. Her cheeks turn deep red because it seems that Issei was warm type of person.
Rias and the others have arrived, which they were happy to see Issei and Zaira were here because it was going to be time for the true Rating Game. Rias looks at everyone else then nods at her to tell Issei about how it was time for the Rating Game with Riser Phoenix.
Magical dark orange circle appears in the middle of Occult Research Clubroom, which it means that he was coming to see his opponent for the next Rating Game.
Who is coming to see Rias and her group?
Are they going to be ready to face Riser Phoenix?
