There was once a legend, in an age long buried in the sands, that every hundred years a boy would be born and rule the tribes of the Gerudo. Millenia have passed without a male heir of the Gerudo. But as darkness closes in and an ancient evil rises, Urbosa gives birth to a boy, a son who she names Ganondorf.

A broken marriage, an affair, and a stubborn child leads Link to leave the castle, stepping down from his position as King. Years later, he returns, much to everyone's surprise.
