Just a thing from my Shepard's universe. "Do you know the Commander?" Vega asked curiously. "I used to." Kaidan's response had been something that bothered James since he'd uttered them. It wasn't until Liara was on board that he got around to asking. Shade Shepard/Kaidan. femShep, vanguard, paragon even though it doesn't really matter. I still own nothing.

Speeches, farewells, denials, howls of grief and of rage. Those that knew Shepard in life remember the Commander in death. Shepard's gender and any interpretations of romance are intentionally ambiguous and left up to you.
