Notice! Chapter 2 has been made, which is when the four of them start to meet old friends, go to an old place.

Also, this isn't completely canon, I've changed a few ideas to my liking and hopefully to yours. But, Romione is a thing, and so is Hinny.

This story isn't completely Romione based, but there's a spark to their relationship and how it changes to something bigger.

After Australia

Chapter 1: Hermione Returns (3 months after Hogwarts)

Hermione opened her eyes, feeling sick and uneasy, the usual feeling of apparition. The stacked burrow stood before her, looking bright and busy. Hermione could see Mrs. Weasley in the kitchen cooking breakfast with the help of magic. She noticed Mrs. Weasley catch of glimpse of Hermione in the window and looked straight back up, shocked to see her. Baring in mind, Hermione had been gone for almost 2 months, thankfully though her plan had worked, her parents now remembered all their pleasant memories. Mrs. Weasley burst open the door, and gave Hermione a Mothering hug, a welcome home hug. She walked into the burrow following Mrs. Weasley. Mrs. Weasley asked politely "Do you want some tea, dear?" Hermione smiled and responded "Yes please."

"Mrs. Weasley, are Ron, Harry, and Gin upstairs?" Hermione asked. Mrs. Weasley glared at Hermione and smiled. "Oh dear, you've been staying here for years call me Molly" Hermione was glad Molly said this, as she's always referred to Molly as a second Mum. "And yes, Harry and Ginny are upstairs, I'm not sure where Ron got to I think he's out by the pond." Hermione, happy to hear her best friends are around, excused herself and made her way up the stairs. Molly called to Hermione up the stairs, "And tell Ginny to organize her old stuff, please, dear." Molly smiled again and so did Hermione with a gentle nod.

Hermione silently knocked on the door of Ginny's room, but before she knocked she heard a man's voice, which was very familiar. Ginny replied to the knock with "Mum, I said I'll organize it later!" Ginny's tone was aggressive, which left Hermione starting to feel scarlet. "No Ginny it's me, Hermione." Hermione giggled quietly. With that statement, she heard the bed bounce up, and footsteps emerge to the door. Ginny opened the door and smiled so wide her mouth couldn't have smiled more, they hugged tightly, then came another figure, hiding behind Ginny, he popped his head out and came Hermione a great friendly hug. They all sat on the bunk, with Hermione and her trunk, and Harry and Ginny on Ginny's bed. "So, how was Australia? Did you restore your families memory?" Hermione replied "Australia was brilliant! After I restored their memory, we explored some beautiful places!" Everyone was all smiling, Ginny asked, "Was it difficult?" Hermione responded, "No, I was nervous at first but because I really wanted to give them their memories, It came with ease, thankfully." Harry asked, "So where are they now?" Hermione didn't like this question, not because of the way it sounded, but because of the answer. "They wanted to stay in Australia, they loved it there." Hermione looked down at her nails placed between her two legs. She really wanted them to come back to England with her, she was anxious that some memories of her childhood, was still missing from their memories and she wanted to continue them.

They were chatting for several minutes until Hermione questioned where Ron was. Harry looked upset when saying "Ron hasn't been in the right mind ever since the battle. I think losing Fred and also y…" Harry paused, stopping immediately at what he was going to finish the sentence with. Ginny recovered his final words, "Well the whole thing really." Harry nodded looking almost pleased she had read his mind. Hermione looked at them both, and stood up and said "Mrs. Weasley said he was by the pond, so I'll go look for him." As Hermione shut the door she saw Ginny speak to Harry almost like she was counseling him.

Hermione walked outside, with the strong breeze blowing in her face and her bushy hair somehow managing to lift. With this, she continued strolling through the open path. She lifted the branch up from the tree and saw the pound and the loud peaceful water flow noise gives her memories of something never worth forgetting. She spotted Ron sitting down by the edge of the cliff, with his feet dangling just above the, what looks like, freezing winter water. Ron's face looks pale, but at bliss by the peace and quiet. She walks towards him, never letting her eye leave his red hair. Ron looks different now, gained a little weight, and looking muscley. Hermione reached Ron and said quietly "Hey." simple, but for some reason Hermione felt different this time, approaching Ron was not the same as Harry. Ron turned around quickly and smiled brightly. "You're back!" Ron said cheerfully, Hermione grinned and squeezed Ron, they remained close and they looked into the eyes of each other, Hermione remembers the last time they hugged before she went to Australia. And the first time they kissed. Those recollections presented butterflies in her stomach. They pulled every from each other, still glaring into the eyes of each other and then took off back to the burrow. "Your Mum is cooking breakfast," Hermione said, "Where's your father?" Ron looked up at Hermione, they were hitting each other's shoulders whilst walking. "He's gone off to work, he's been going to work early so he can get home earlier," Ron said gazing into Hermione's eyes. "And how have you been Ron?" Hermione asked, wanting to understand how he's been feeling. "Oh, well, I've… Oh, I'm fine." Ron stumbled, "You can talk to me, you know that." They both smiled and continued talking.

They reached the door, Harry and Ginny were already in the living room, sitting on the double-sided sofa very close together. It seems Arthur has invested more time into the muggle world, with there being a relatively new TV, however, it didn't fit right where it was, off-center on the table. Harry was showing Ginny the channels, even though there wasn't much signal in the Burrow. Harry looked up at Ron and asked, "You alright, mate?" Ron gave a nod "Yeah not to be bad." and with that Ron looked over at Hermione like he gave the answer to Harry's question.

Breakfast was served, Hermione sitting next to Ron, Molly spoke up at the table, "So, I have a special announcement. George coming home today!" Harry and Ginny cheered, but Ron just smiled. Hermione asked, "Where has he been?" Ginny replied, "He's invested all of his time on the joke shop, been staying in a dodgy flat with no one but himself." Molly looked upset, "But it's alright now, love, he's coming over today for dinner." Hermione knew, that George would still be upset by Fred's death.

When they all finished their lovely bacon bap with eggs, Ginny went upstairs and Hermione began to follow but then looked over at Ron. She doesn't know what she feels, but she likes it. Ron said to her "Me and Harry are going out to play Quidditch, you can join if you want. Ask Ginny if she wants to play too." Hermione went upstairs tailing Ginny. Hermione asked Ginny, "Do you want to play Quidditch with Ron and Harry?" Ginny turned around, "Hermione Granger, since when have you EVER wanted to play Quidditch." Hermione didn't know why she wanted to, she just did. "Of course I want to play". Ginny got ready, and so did Hermione, Hermione wore some old clothes of Ginny's and they fit perfectly. When they came down they saw Harry and Ron playing, Ron in goal and Harry with the bludger. They went to the broom shed, and found the brooms. When they got to the pitch, Ginny shouted "WHAT'S THE TEAMS THEN?" Harry turned around look startled, but then Harry smirked and shouted back, "What do you think?" All three of them were good in their own parts of the team, Ginny as a chaser, Harry as a seeker, and Ron as a keeper. Ron said "How about we do penalties, and then a match?" Harry and Ginny agreed to this and as Hermione got up on her broomstick, still looking nervous as she wasn't the best flyer, she said "I'm not the best at shooting." Hermione laughed but looked ashamed that there was something she wasn't good at. And to her surprise, Ron came behind her and whispered in her ear. "I'll go easy." the way he said it sounded, seductive, and Hermione liked it. Harry took the first shot, save by Ron. Then Ginny, who scored a powerful shot. Then Hermione had a go, but missed the goal by inches, but Ron went the other way anyway. When they finished with Quidditch, they went back inside to eat lunch. They have been playing for hours, laughing, and having fun.

After lunch, Ron said he was going up to the shower but asked Hermione and Ginny if they wanted to go first, when they said he can go Ron snickered "Good, because I'm really sweating." Ginny laughed, "Yes that's exactly why I want you to go in first because you stink!" Ron went upstairs. When they eventually all went into the shower and was dressed, Ron went downstairs and saw Hermione, "You still stink?" Hermione said grinning, "No, fortunately not." Ron laughed. They all sat in the living room. Mrs. Weasley had given them all a break from working on the house because of George coming home. Ginny opened up a conversation, with the background noise of muggle news. "So what are you all going to do now?" Hermione replied, "What do you mean?" Hermione knows what she means, but she doesn't actually know. "Well, what job do you guys want to go for?" Ginny still had another year of Hogwarts, she had the time to think about this, whereas I don't think the rest had the time to think. "I want to be an Auror." said Ron, and Harry said "You know what, so do I." Harry and Ron seemed to have their ideas covered, but Hermione didn't know. "I guess, I would like to complete my N.E.W.T's at Hogwarts." Ginny beamed at her, and Ron looked somewhat unhappy, but never disagreed with it. Hermione looked at her knees turning red, "Hermione, you can do whatever you like. If it makes you happy, do it." Ron said, these words that are coming from Ron's mouth are different, Ron is different, mature, but still humourous after what his family has been through.

CRACK. Molly jumps and heads over to the door after throwing her cooking ingredients book on the table. "GEORGE?!" George opened the door, with a smile across his face, everyone shot up and went to greet him. "Oh dear, how have you been, I've missed you-we've missed you!" George laughed, "well, I've missed me too Mum." Everyone chuckled at this comment, luckily, George has kept his humour in-tact. They all sat in the living room talking, Ron close-by Hermione letting her sit on the sofa and him on the arm. "Ron, you're getting fat!" George mischievously announced, which was true to a degree, Ron wasn't as skinny as he was at Hogwarts. "Oh shut up George." Ron fiercely struck back looking red. Harry asked George how the joke shop was doing and George was delighted to say it's going well, just like it had been since opening 2 years ago. No one talked about Fred, the funeral took place two weeks after Hogwarts, this was sentimental for everyone.

CRACK. The door opened, Molly stood up and there stood Arthur Weasley, looking happy and gleeful. "Now, where's my boy?" George laughed, "Here I am, how's my old man doing?" They engaged in a bear hug. Everything was all right, George asked his Mum "Where's Percy, Charlie, and Bill?" Molly explained that Charlie and Bill were very busy at work, and so was Percy. George looked devastated, but tried to play it off. "Well, their loss, right?" Molly replied, "Of course, dear." Arthur realized Hermione was there and said, "Sorry love, I didn't see you there, how are you? Is everything alright?" Hermione replied, "Everythings fine." and they both smiled. She was sure Arthur didn't want to question too much just in case anything went wrong.

Dinner was served, a roast dinner with lamb. Hermione always loved eating at the Burrow, there was something special about the food, the lovely location and the family. When the main course was finished, they began to feast on a lovely apple crumble. It was getting dark now, and after several hours talking in the living room, Molly and Arthur went upstairs. Soon after, so did George. Ginny stood up, Hermione thought she was going to bed, which for some reason she didn't want, she enjoyed everyone's company. But, she turned on the stereo and found really cool wizard bands such as The Weird Sisters and Goblin Gazzers, Ron gathered butter beers, fireball whiskey, and a couple of unknown beers she's never seen before. Harry asked, "Are you sure the living room is the best place to start this music?" Ron replied "No, not at all." then Ron took off outside, picking up his wand. He looked back, "Are you coming or not?" They all look at one another, "Actually, we'll need the stereo." Harry grabbed the stereo and Ron gathered a few drinks with the help of Hermione. They headed towards the river Hermione saw Ron sitting at. Ron heightened his wand, and casted a tent onto the grass, the same tent they used during the hunt for Horcruxes. This was a perfect plan by Ron, when they were in the tent, Hermione used the charm "Quietus" for the tent, which will quiet the inside of the tent. They were listening to music and drinking for hours, dancing, talking about past events, and enjoying all of it. Hermione, feeling the effects of alcohol, asked Harry and Ginny without hesitation, "So, are you two a thing again." Harry went red, but Ginny smiled and said "Yes." Hermione noticed Harry glanced at Ron who was smiling at them, then Harry smiled and looked at Ginny. Hermione felt pleasant, Ginny had wanted this to be a thing ever since she first saw him, and they were happy. Harry and Ginny went off to get more drinks, hearing them laugh distantly.

Ron and Hermione began to gaze at each other, "How are you feeling, Ronald Weasley?" Ron replied, "Marvelous". A song came on, not like the up-beat songs that have been playing all night, but a quiet, romantic song which Hermione recognized immediately, Lavendar Brown used to play this song back in the girl's dormitory, out of all of her girly songs, this was Hermione's favourite. Hermione stood up and asked for Ron's hand, Ron, bewildered by what Hermione was doing, accepted gracefully. This was perfect. They slow danced, Gloria Di'Mara singing softly in the background, and as the song finished, Ron leaned into Hermione's face, kissing her passionately, they kissed until they heard Ginny say tipsy, "Guys, it's 2'Oclock!" Ron and Hermione pulled each other away, and Hermione lost breath. They all glared at one another, Ron and Hermione both pink in the face. "Well, sorry guys, I'm off to bed." Ginny laughed. Harry then announced he was tired. So, they went to their separate bunks. Ron said he was starting to feel tired, but asked if Hermione wanted anything before going to bed. "No." Hermione replied, Ron then smiled, "very well then, good night, Hermione." His voice lowering at every word. They got into separate beds, but Ron asked, "Are you sure you don't need your pyjamas?" Hermione laughed because she totally forgot about her pyjamas, she was so filled with thought she forgot. "Oh, it doesn't matter. I will just sleep in my clothes it's fine". Hermione glared up at the ceiling, thinking about how good it is to be back.
