DISCLAIMER

This story was originally made by ZeShiba, but since he stopped making chapters, partly because of the pandemic, he gave me full ownership of the original story, A Commander's Will.
Since I don't want this story taken down because it might be considered as a duplicate, this story will be titled different. Regardless, it will still offer the same OC and harem he intended, but there will be a new story route because the one he sent me was messy and outright terribly cringe. To clarify, I was given full ownership of the story and I can do what I want and visualize how the story goes.

The chapters he posted on the previous book will not be used since it might be considered a duplicate to . This will also have a weird chapter format, there is a total of 10 chapters in this story and 50 parts in estimation, this may change though as I am yet to make that format make sense.

Regardless of that, I present to you the prologue. Any criticism to my style of writing or the overall story is very welcome. It can help me improve so yeah.

"The year 2054, often called the "Golden Age of Technological Advancements", was a bit different from what others think it was back then. You see, what the history books don't teach you was the dreaded side effect that Golden age brought upon."

"That side effect brought humanity down to its knees. You see, the technological advancement was ships, humanoid ships. Created by Doctor Vinogradov, a scientist of Russian descent who was born in England, experimented with a material that he found in a crater when he was on the Moon."

"The material glowed a bright blue hue and resonated a deep electrical hum. He called it wisdom cube after he was suddenly rushed with new knowledge when he touched the cube with his bare hands."

"Long story short, he found some genetic material on the cube that looked similar to human DNA but with a quadruple helix structure. Since the DNA was similar to human DNA- Hmm, this part is cut-offed."

"Son of a- I'll make sure that stupid ass scriptwriter will get-

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Oh what now, who is it?"

Loud Crashing Noise

"Ouch! Who the fuck are-"

BANG

In the background

"Make sure this whole station gets closed down, don't leave any single information of the humanoid ships. Burn everything. Understood?"

"YES SIR!"

Quick succession of footsteps can be heard.

"Is everything off?"

"No sir"

"Close every-"

Radio Static

Present Day | USA

Inside of the largest broadcasting company in the US, where hundreds of people diligently work their minds off to provide the nation on the hand news. But out of all the diligent workers, only one of them has a different future ahead. Nagato Takashi, a former Navy Lieutenant. Who planned the entire mission on invading a broadcasting station after the station was revealing classified information. Ironically, when he retired, he sought out the nation's number one Broadcasting Company and worked in the Writing department.

Currently sitting in a nearby window, with a telephone on one hand and a pen on the other. He is clearly working hard.

"That's the only information we have of them? That's preposterous, how come all of your investigators failed to find more information?" Nagato inquired.

["Yes sir, we couldn't find anything about the great 2057 incident. Are you sure that you got the right data?"]

"Of course I do, not a single data I have failed me."

["Which is exactly whats wrong, you trust the data that you have on hand."]

"Look will you help me find what I need? I only need to know what happened that time, nothing else."

["I'm sorry sir, but you're on your own."]

BEEP

"John? John? sigh that son of a bitch-"

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"What is it?" Nagato asked.

"It's a letter for you, hmm Mr. Takashi." The postman replied.

"From who might this letter be? Just to be sure."

"It's from Admiral Wright, sir." The postman handed the letter to him. Nagato inspected the envelope and sure enough, it came from the Military. But why would the military be looking for a retired lieutenant? He placed the envelope on his desk to read later.

"Thank you for dropping it off. Have a great day to you. Oh and here's a tip." Nagato tipped the man $100 dollars.

"Thank you so much sir. Have a great day as well." The postman happily said.

After the door closed, Nagato sat back down in his seat staring at the envelope on his desk, pondering why the military would be looking for him. Did he do anything wrong prior to his retirement? Did he reveal information that was classified? His mind was filling up with endless possibilities on what the letter could contain and ironically, only reading the letter can answer his question. So he swallowed up all his thoughts, took the letter and opened it. What could possibly go wrong reading a letter?

He took out the contents of the envelope and read it.

Pacific Ocean | Azur Lane Headquarters
Admiral Adam Wright

With utmost respect to you Lieutenant Takashi. I am Admiral Wright, Admiral of the Azur Lane Headquarters.

From all the data we have gathered about your previous works in the Military, we found out you were

the leading tactician we need as of this moment. So with the final verdict of the debate from the High Command,

we need your confirmation that you will accept this position. Of course, the hard work you'll be doing in the headquarters

if you so decide to accept won't go unnoticed. So, the High Command decided to give you a lifetime salary of

$670,000 per month with insurance included. The only catch to have that is you have to accept your position.

Now about your position, you will be working as the Commander of the Azur Lane Headquarters, effective immediately.

If you wish to decline, well I'm sorry but you can't decline. You'll be immediately picked up in front of your house by Monday.

Signed: Admiral Wright

Nagato almost fell out of his chair in disbelief after reading the letter. Why out of all the retirees of the military, why him? Why not anybody else. Regardless, he can't do anything about it because its a Saturday and he has a day to prepare his stuff and leave. He was left pondering on who is this Admiral and what is the Azur Lane headquarters..

Prologue done! How will Nagato react if he finds out that he will be working with a bunch of beautiful ships? Find out in the next chapter! Peace!
