Author's Notes: Hey everyone. For those that have been waiting this is the start of the long awaited sequel to Origins. If you have not read the story or don't remember it, I suggest going back and rereading it first. That being said for those that had been on the fence about that story and are not quite sure if you want to read this one, I will fill you in on some things. I have had many people ask me through either private messager or reviews claiming certain things such as Batman and Wonder Woman don't kill. I would like to clarify this right now. In one universe they might. In Christopher Nolan's universe yes Batman didn't kill. A great franchise yes but that was his version. In Tim Burton's movies however Batman did kill and kill quite a few people. Through this large series of stories that you can find on my profile page when the battle scenes come up they will be brutal. To quote Jigsaw from the Saw movies there will be blood. Criminals will be dealt with in different manners. There will be deaths with some that will make your cringe. This DC Universe i'm writing about is going to be dark. Very dark. Some beloved characters that you thought were once innocent will no longer be. No one is untouchable. If you are reading this and find this isn't your cup of tea then a bid you adieu. For all those still here, I suggest kick back and enjoy the ride.

Justice. A word used so much but never truly understood. A word with so many definitions and yet never truly been experienced before, Such a word that is thrown around like any common word but those people who dare use such a word would never truly know the meaning. Police officers sworn to issue justice to all they see fit. Lawyers promising to ensure justice would be reached for their clients good or bad. Judges….juries….politicians alike. None truly know the meaning of the word. None in this world has truly known the meaning of the word until now. A dawn of a new age is coming. An age in which has never been seen before. An age that will be talked about for years to come. The age of the heroes. The age of the outsiders known as the kryptonians crashing landing down on these lands. The age of the amazons coming back to life before the world's very eyes. The age of justice. A word that would soon get another meaning and it all started with them. Two of the unlikest beings becoming one bringing forth the dawn of a new era in the heart where evil once laid doormat.

Brutal heat strokes that can be seen all around from all likes of life. Sweat pouring down the faces of every single villager in sight doing their best to make ends meet. Children's laughter filling the air as group after group of young children are seen passing on by with smiles on their faces playing numerous styles of made up games. Some even going so far as pretending to be some kind of hero fighting off the pretend villains that may plague the village. Such a scene they could only watch with a smile. A young couple that if any were to look close enough could be found just inside of a local hut watching the outside world around them from underneath their respective cloaks. A man whose eyes have never left the small makeshift window as he watches the skies just waiting for a glimpse of their ride to arrive in the far distance. As he awaits for his family's longtime friend to arrive on the scene to take them back home to a place he hasn't stepped foot inside of for several years. To a place he never thought he would return to for quite some time.

As for the other? If you were to ask she is the one that interests everyone in this village the most. Upon arrival if you were to listen closely to the whispers you would soon find out she is the main topic of discussion. What many have suddenly called a goddess in living flesh. Have claimed she had been sent down from the gods themselves to aid them in their times of need. Those have been the constant rumors echoed around this village since their arrival. Since the moment they had been first spotted by a couple of local fisherman off the shores of the Middle East. A sighting that had been quickly spread through this local village like wildfire with tales already unfolding. Tales of how this goddess had dropped down from the skies above onto these shores. How her indestructible armor shines brighter than the sun. How her trusty sword by her side can cut through even the hardest of metals. So many stories. So many rumors being spreading around. Some of these fictional legendary battles she had participated in. Facing off against staggering and towering three headed hydras deep out in the sea. Standing toe to toe with the titans that once ruled over these lands long ago. Even some stories being passed around were about her facing off against even the gods themselves. Such stories she could only listen into with amusement. If only they knew the real truth but one thing was for certain. One whispered conversation she had heard in passing. Many if not most of these villagers believed she had been sent down to Earth to answer their prayers.

A half truth. She wasn't just here for them. No justice wasn't reserved for just a few selected individuals. No in the end before her time is done her sense of justice will be felt all across the world. Be felt by the millions and millions across the globe. A silent statement she will make sure is heard in the coming months and years all starting with one place. The root of evil. The breeding ground of evil. A place that has been described to her as the darkest place on this planet. A place with the makings of darkest depths of hell itself. Gotham City. One of the crown jewels of the world or so what she had been told. A place many powerful men and women could be found residing in. A place some of the absolute worst beings alive could be found praying on the weak. Praying on the vulnerable gaining this sense of power. Gaining this sense of entitlement over them. These….monsters in the likes of which she has never experienced before. The likes of which she has never seen before. Monsters that weren't motivated for survival. Weren't motivated to make ends meet and be satisfied. No these monsters are another breed. These monsters only know one thing and one thing only. Destruction. To cause harm to all those around them. To have the need of gaining power over all those they found to be inferior to them. A disgusting trait. Never before during her days on Themyscira has she ever even had such a thought but no longer. They will not have this power for much longer. Their days are numbered. Their days of ruling over the city with an iron fist will soon come to end. The first of many of these disgusting creatures that will fall before her. The first of many cities to be cleansed of this pure evil with many more to follow in its wake.

Such evil that even now as she sits patiently she can feel right now. Can feel this cold sickening feeling that ties a knot in her stomach. Can feel this hatred building up inside of her just thinking about these criminals' way of life. A feeling she knew the closer they get to its breeding ground would become stronger. Would become undeniable forcing her to not look the other way. Forcing her to not ignore it. A feeling that must have been felt by her companion before suddenly before she knew it she feels a pair of strong arms wrap around her and pull her closer into his side. Such a feeling she still hasn't gotten used to quite yet. This bizarre and yet welcoming feeling. There was no doubt she was stronger between the two. Physically anyways but mentally? She could say they are on the same level. To meet someone with the same sense of justice as her own. To feel so strongly about things just as she does. Let alone a man. Something she never thought she would ever see in her life let alone become married to one. Never in her wildest dreams did she ever think this day would come. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would ever find herself anywhere but Themyscira but here she is now waiting patiently observing the villagers as they pass on by with her left hand never wavering far away from her sword leaning up the bed by her side. But this wasn't a dream this is reality and reality is she has never been happier. So much so that without thinking twice about it the cloaked woman leans down to rest her head against her companion's shoulder with a content sigh escaping her lips. A sigh that doesn't go unnoticed as he looks down towards her with the faintest of smiles across his face causing their eyes to meet. Causing blue to meet blue with no words needing to be spoken letting their eyes speak the words their lips refuse to release. Speak of the understanding each needs from the other. Speak of this new found love each has for the other with a silent promise to always be there by the others side no matter what.

Eye contact that is dropped after what seems like minutes of silence when the sound of an engine can be heard off in the distance. A sound very foreign in these parts. A sound that makes the couple break apart to look through the window finding a speck approaching in the distance. The tiniest of specks that descends down from the skies above looking for somewhere to land. A sight for the briefest of moments makes a faint smile come across the cloaked man's face before it disappears as he looks back towards his companion with a determined look.

" It's time."

Nodding her head in total agreement rising up from her seat snatching her sword off from the side of the bed making sure everything is accounted for without so much as having a second thought about it the cloaked woman walks out of the hut followed quickly by the cloaked man causing many nearby villagers to stop what they are doing and suddenly look their way. Some that instantly start gathering around in groups pointing at them in hushed whispers. Others that try to go on with their day while keeping a close eye on them out of the corner of their eyes. Villagers who after a couple of seconds each have the same exact reaction. The same look of awes across their faces when the cloaked woman takes the cloaked man's hand until before their very eyes the couple is seen ascending up into the air as far as the eye can see.

It was even bigger than she imagined it would be. This what did he call it again? An airplane? A jet? These pieces of metal welded together with many moving parts allowing for comfortable travel through the skies. Such a device she still can't believe exists. For anyone to be able to soar through the skies like many migrating species. It simply was astounding to see but in the back of her mind she shouldn't be surprised. After everything she has been told there was still much for her to learn. So many wonderful things for her to experience and see with her very own eyes. Skyscrapers as far as the eyes can see. All these types of automobiles and aircrafts used for transportation. Computers with something called the internet attached to them. So many wonderful things to experience. So many things her mother wouldn't approve of but times were changing. It was time she became her own person. Time she started making her own choices in life not caring what her mother or her fellow sisters might think of her. Thoughts that make her smile brightly as her eyes come to close while this hot breeze brushes through causing her hood to be thrown back revealing her face for the whole world to see. These wonderful images of everything she will soon experience willing her thoughts. But such thoughts that come to an halt the moment she hears what was described to her as an airplane engine descending down from the skies above causing the wind to pick up all around them. A device she can't help but take in for the first time with a sense of awe. Take in this metal bird descending down from the skies above. Take in the magnificent shape. Take in the sheer size of this transportation mobile and this wasn't even the biggest of them. No this was what was described to her as a plane used for only a small group of passengers. She could only shutter to think just how big the normal standard sized aircraft is.

" Amazing."

Seeing the faintest of smiles out of the corner of her eye shaking such thoughts away finding her companion's hand and lacing their fingers together watching in silence as this plane comes to land down in this open field glancing over to her side as she sees her companion lost in thought judging by the way he is looking past the plane turning fully to face him reaching up with her free hand gently Diana lays her hand down on Bruce's cheek causing his thoughts to be snapped and his eyes to turn and focus solely on her. Blue eyes she can't help but look into with a questionable stare hoping she can read them. Hoping to ease his worries about whatever he is thinking about and she has a good guess just what he is thinking about.

Going home. Going back to the place he had been born. Had lived most of his young life in. A place with so many memories. Some good but from the countless conversations she has had with him were mostly bad and for good reason. She too would not be looking forward to going back to the place that would have caused her the most pain. Would have caused her to lose her family. Such pain he has carried for years. Pain that over time she will help take away from him but right now? As the reality sinks in for him. She couldn't possibly imagine what he is feeling. Comparing leaving Themyscira to quote Man's World would be an understatement in her eyes.

" It doesn't seem so real does it? To be returning back home where it all started."

He couldn't help but nod his head. His journey. His mission to rid Gotham City of everyone that would do harm to her. This years long journey just to prepare for the task. The countless hours training every single martial arts style he could get his hands on. The countless hours studying and observing the minds of criminals on different continents. The years that passed on by preparing himself for this moment. Preparing himself to return back home to where it all started. It seems so unreal. Seems like this is a dream that at any second he will wake up from. A dream he hopes never to wake up from.

" No it doesn't."

Unable to look away from her concerned eyes letting out a sigh turning away to face her as he hears the sound of the wheels of the airplane coming to a halt in the distance reaching up gently Bruce lays his hand down on top of Diana's own.

" Whatever happens we do it together."

Smiling brightly rubbing his cheek with her thumb without breaking off eye contact Diana leans her head forward to rest her forehead against Bruce's own.

" Together."

Ignoring the sound of the dying engine remaining content on staring into his eyes before she has a chance to react Diana can't help but smile when she feels Bruce bring his free arm around her and pull her into his chest as his lips claim her own. A kiss she can help but melt into as her arms come to wrap around the back of her neck as a harsh breeze picks up around them. A kiss too much to her liking is broken up causing her to sigh silently from the lost contact before she opens her eyes to see his eyes flickering over towards the parked airplane. A motion that makes her nod her head and unwrap her arms from around the back of his neck before slowly she turns and starts to approach the aircraft claiming Bruce's hand within her own as she takes in the small aircraft. This small black aircraft known to be called a private jet. A luxurious aircraft owned by only the most wealthy. A quick means of transportation. An aircraft she can't help but stare at with this sense of awe as she approaches focusing solely on the wings before suddenly movement from the craft makes her pause and on instinct reach down for her sword with her free hand. But before she can fully grip the handle a gentle squeeze of her hand causes her to stop her momentum and turn her sights towards Bruce finding him shaking his head slightly with nothing but amusement in his eyes. Why he is so amused she has no clue. For all they know this could possibly be an enemy ambush. It was as he said once before. The Wayne name is very famous and with such fame and power comes plenty of enemies along with it. For now though she will do as he does and not act rash but her hand will not waiver far from her sword in case her gut instincts are correct. And such instincts are telling her now to be prepared for anything. Especially as she sees this airplane come to life before her very eyes right now. Watch as an opening suddenly opens up into what appears to be some steel steps ascending down towards the ground before mere moments later the moment these stairs are set a flock of white hair is seen stopping at the opening.

Feeling nothing but a hot breeze striking him dead in the face the moment he steps foot into the opening bringing his right hand up to shield his eyes from the blazing bright sun hanging high above scrunching his eyes to look around suddenly as his eyes land upon a young couple standing off in the distance looking his way a brief smile comes across Alfred's face as he recognizes a face off in the distance. A face he never thought he would ever see again.

Bruce Wayne. The heir to The Wayne fortune. The only child of the late Thomas and Martha Wayne. A young boy he had watched grow up into a fine young man. Had looked after for so long during his early years. Had gone through all of his hardships early on with. Had taught everything he knew about the world that could be so ugly and uncaring at times. A young man that he could clearly see has turned into a man during his travels over the years. Over these mysterious years where he had vanished without a trace. Had vanished with nobody knowing if he was even dead or alive. A young man that after years in exile was now returning back home where he should be but he wasn't coming alone. No he is being accompanied by a rather beautiful young woman. No that wasn't right. The word beautiful simply doesn't do her justice. No she is simply stunning. A black haired beauty who could rival even the most beautiful women in the entire world. A young woman wearing some kind of tiara on her head. Perhaps she comes from a royal family? Judging by the rest of her outfit he wouldn't be surprised. Though the cloaks they are wearing aren't special what he sees underneath hers jumps out to him. This rather expensive looking fur coat that he can't quite place what animal it is made of. A young woman he can clearly see looking at him with caution despite her eyes betraying her emotions every few seconds as they flicker towards the aircraft in complete awe.

" Master Wayne, you've been gone a long time."

" Yes, I have."

Alfred Pennyworth. Long time friend to The Wayne Family. A man that is like a second father to him. A man that was always there for him when he needed someone in his corner. There every graduation to congratulate him with a handshake and friendly smile. Always there during his every low point growing up encouraging him to get up and keep going. A man that if it wasn't for him being a source of inspiration early on he could honestly say he wouldn't be here right now. An older man that even now he still looks up to. An older man that smiles down looking his way with amusement making him take action by releasing Diana's hand to pick up the deposited bags by his side and slowly approach the aircraft with her following him step by step.

" You look very fashionable. Apart from the mud."

Such a response he can see getting a reaction from this unknown young woman who looks Bruce's way with amusement while trying to hide the smirk that is threatening to break across her face. A young woman who as though sensing his eyes on her turns to look his way with a friendly smile.

" And who may you be my dear?"

" Diana Prince but please call me Diana."

Nodding his head in acceptance looking on as he sees Diana look Bruce's way with silent mirth in her eyes the next words that come out of her mouth leave Alfred completely stunned and wide eyed.

" Though if you prefer you may also refer to me as Mrs Wayne if you like."

He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He just had to hear wrong. Everything that he was being told was making his head spin. An legendary island known as Themyscira. A island home of the Amazons thought of to be lost centuries ago. The boat Master Wayne had been on sinking only for him to wake up in the arms of this amazon. No not just any amazon but the princess of the amazons. It was starting to become too much. Was starting to make his eyes threaten to pop out of his head the more he listened to them retelling their tale of how they had met. Of how their relationship blossomed on Themyscira leading to a sacred ritual to occur binding them forever as man and wife. A holy union blessed from the gods themselves.

" So just to make sure, I have everything correct so far. To start you Miss Prince are not only considered to be part of the lost race of the amazons but you are actually this long lost race's princess?"

" That is correct. I am the Amazonian princess known as Diana Price. Next in line to be the throne of Themyscira once my mother Queen Hippolyta has passed on."

Seeing the shock starting to get to him leaning forward out of his chair gently Bruce pats Alfred on the knee causing the older man to shake away his daze and look in between them with what he knows to be a forced smile. He couldn't blame him. If anyone was to tell him a story like this he would be acting the same exact way. Their story. Their true story was a story you could only find in fairytales. Princesses being discovered. Long lost civilizations coming back to life. He was rather shocked how well the older man is actually taking this right now.

" Well, I must say you both have had some rather interesting experiences over the years."

Seeing the forced smile on the older man's face leaning forward out of her seat feeling Bruce's gaze on her patting his hand gently Diana turns her attention towards Alfred to give him a questionable stare.

" You do not believe us?"

" It is not that I don't believe your story but I dare say it seems a bit…."

" Far fetched?"

Feeling both of their gazes on him nodding his head in understanding turning to look towards Diana with a grin only to receive a questionable stare for the look she is receiving reaching out Bruce gently takes her hand within his own and nods his head back in Alfred's direction.

" Perhaps he just needs some proof?"

Instantly knowing what he is getting at flashing him a quick grin nodding her head in agreement feeling his hand leaving her own standing up from her seat feeling Alfred's eyes on her reaching down into her fur coat grasping the desired object slowly Diana retracts her hand as a golden glow is seen lighting up the inside of the plane. A glow that draws Alfred's attention immediately before his eyes go wide in awe as he sees her pull out a golden lasso.

" This is The Lasso of Truth. It's an object made personally from Aphrodite herself. It is indescribable. This lasso compels all those captured by it to obey the wielder and tell the truth."

Getting finished with the introductions as she sees his eyes remain on the lasso with awe and for a split second what looked to be fear shaking that thought away turning to look towards Bruce a small smile forms across Diana's face before she turns back towards Alfred with a confident look.

" A small demonstration is in order, yes?"

Making sure the older man is watching turning her sights back towards Bruce as she watches him extend his wrists out willingly smiling in gratitude gently wrapping the lasso around his wrists with a tug showing the lasso is firmly entrenched around his wrists looking back towards the silent Alfred with a smile slowly Diana extends the end of the lasso out towards him.

" If you have any questions you would like to ask him, I suggest you ask him right now. Remember the lasso compels him to tell the truth and only the truth."

Glancing down at the end of the lasso before glancing back and forth between their faces seeing identical looks of encouragement nodding his head gently plucking the end of the lasso out of Diana's hand to instantly feel this hot sensation coming from the end tuning out this sitting up straighter in his seat Alfred turns fully to look at Bruce as he grips the lasso even tighter.

" Alright i'll play alone. When you were nine years old you told this one of a kind african tribal mask estimated to be worth in the thousands had somehow fallen off its holding place shattering this priceless artifact to pieces. What really happened to it?"

Instantly as he watches the young man's mouth open with what he knew to be a small lie on the tip of his tongue suddenly Alfred's eyes go wide when he sees Bruce's head snap a little straighter with his eyes having this mystical glow to them.

" I accidentally dropped the mask on the floor when I was playing with a couple of the maids' children. We were scared you would be mad so we cooked up a story hoping you would believe us."

Reeling back in shock glancing up towards Diana seeing her staring down towards Bruce with silent amusement despite the rather pleased look across her face turning his attention back towards the young man in question debating mentally for a few seconds if he should ask the unasked question he has wanted to ask ever since he touched down here deciding it was for the best Alfred turns his attention back up to stare into Bruce's eyes.

" Where have you been these past seven years besides Themsycira? My associates and I have had trouble trying to locate you fearing the absolute worst."

A rather interesting question she had to admit. A question also she was eager to hear herself. During their time on Themyscira he had shared small snippets of some of the places he had been. Had shared with her that thanks to these visits he had learned all sorts of things to survive in the real world. Had learned numerous styles of martial arts. Had learned how the criminal's mind truly works but he never went into further detail beyond that.

" I first started off in Berlin before slowly making my way through the western hemisphere never staying in one place for longer than needed. I always paid in cash and never with a credit or debit card. I never carried any form of id on my person. It made traveling much easier with less questions being asked."

Nodding his head in acceptance finding the answer more than logical for the trouble that had been caused biting the inner lower of his lip debating whether or not to ask the next question that jumps to the forefront of his mind looking towards Bruce's face seeing this dazed look a mental debate occurs inside of Alfred's mind. A question he has never asked him before but always suspected he knew what the answer he would receive would be. A question he knew he would hate himself later for asking but a question that needed to be asked. An answer he needed to know. With nothing but determination dominating his facial features gripping the lasso even tighter looking Bruce dead in the eyes opening his mouth only to shut it quickly as a sense of guilt enters his mind shaking away this feeling with a deep breath Alfred whispers out hoping he would not regret asking this.

" Do you still blame yourself for what happened that night?"

A question the moment it leaves his mouth makes the amused look in Diana's eyes vanish as her head snaps to look towards Alfred with so much anger in her eyes. With so much hatred he scoots away from her in shock. How dare he ask such a question!? How dare he ask Bruce that! An answer she suspected would be yes. He did still blame himself for what happened on that night but she would not allow him to say the words. She would not allow him to reopen up that wound and in such within a blink of an eye Diana snatches the end of the lasso out of Alfred's hand and quickly snaps her attention to look towards Bruce as he opens his mouth to answer the question.

" Don't answer that. By the power of this lasso, I command you to never answer that question unless you want one hundred percent want too."

An order that she sees being carried out as his jaw snaps shut and his eyes become clear a clear sign that he is returning back to normal. Glancing over her shoulder to give Alfred a hard look not leaving anything to chance quickly unwrapping the lasso from Bruce's wrists without paying Alfred a single glance turning on her heels Diana makes her way down the aisle way and towards the other end of the plane. A retreating form he watches in silence before paying a glance towards Bruce seeing him staring anywhere but at him making him bow his head down slightly and rub his forehead with his fingers with a guilty expression.

" My apologies Master Bruce. I didn't mean to overstep…."

" You didn't."

Hearing the silent message in his tone telling him to drop the matter completely respecting his wishes leaning back in his seat as he silently watches Bruce turn his attention to look out the plane deciding to change topics Alfred clears his throat drawing his attention for a split moment through the glass of the window.

" Are you coming back to Gotham for long, sir?"

" As long as it takes. We want to show the people of Gotham their city doesn't belong to the criminals and the corrupt."

There was no mistaking the we in that statement. Such a statement that didn't surprise him one bit. Seven years is a long time. Long enough for someone to change. Just like he can see he has so far. No longer was the cold young man that closed himself off to the world. No longer does he sees a young man who wouldn't open himself up to another. No from the brief interactions he has seen so far with that young woman. This Miss Prince has found a way into his heart. Has found a way for him to open up to others. Something he will forever be grateful for. But just how far are these two willing to go greatly concerns him. Just what is their main way to combat this dark underworld? A question he has a sinking feeling about. Especially with what he had just held inside of his hand. This godlike weapon. This amazing weapon. This unimaginable weapon made from the gods.
