After awhile, Ruby finally came out of the washroom.
"Was it me, or did that bathroom break take a really long time?" Yang asks.
"I'm sure its just been five minutes, Yang." Blake assures.
"Yeah, lets start the next episode!" Ruby exclaims. Before the play could be hit, a blinding green light went off in the room. When the members could see again, they saw another occupant in the room. A girl about Rubys age stood looking confused as to why she was here. She had medium length pink hair, a beanie, and her clothes had black and pink colour scheme.
"Who are you?" Yang suspiciously asks.
"Uhhhhhh." Is all the girl can respond with before disappearing in a flash of light.
"What was that about?" Blake asks to no one in particular.
"I don't think we'll ever find out." Weiss says.
"Maybe the people who sent this are experiencing some issues." Ruby suggests. "Anyway, lets watch."
It starts out on a black screen with ominous music playing. The voices are muffled.
Sockets: I wish it didn't have to be you. Maybe its best, I don't know if anyone else could figure it out.
Tahu: No! I need that!
Sockets: Its a shame. I respected you.
The screen gradually unblurs to show Sockets POV.
Sockets: I hope you enjoy the memories.
Tahu: Stop!
Sockets: They aren't mine anymore.
With that, the scene shows static before the ceiling.
Ta-Sockets: Oh. Oh my. Its been so long since I could actually feel my hand.
Sockets holds up Tahu's hand to view.
"She's taken over his body! And no ones gonna know!" Ruby exclaims.
Kopaka: Tahu, you up? Tahu, can you hear me?
"He can't Kopaka! Thats not Tahu!" Ruby exclaims.
"He can't hear you." Weiss sighs.
Sockets: Ah wait, I'm Tahu.
Sockets looks to the group.
Kopaka: Welcome back to the land of the living.
Sockets: You have no idea.
"I wonder how long Sockets has been in there." Blake mumbles.
Kopaka: I have so many questions, I don't know where to begin.
Good Guy: Heres and idea, how about you just don't ask any?
Yang laughs. "Thats my kind of style."
Kopaka: How did you learn so much about Denmark?
Good Guy: Uh, yes?
Kopaka: Yes to what?
Good Guy: yes.
Ruby giggles "Its the reverse of my "nope" argument."
"Nope argument?" Weiss questions.
"I'll tell you some other time." Yang assures.
Pohatu: We're not kidding around here anymore. Who was the person we saw?
Good Guy: I plead the fifth.
Takanuva: Listen here you little ingrate, we need to know everything.
Good Guy 08: Its alive.
Good Guy: Dude.
Good Guy 08: We've discovered that the machine is sentient.
Good Guy: Yeah, uh, surprise.
"Not for us because we knew." Ruby proudly says.
"I wonder why they didn't look into it more after they found out." Weiss thinks aloud. "Or maybe they did and they're about to explain it to us."
Pohatu: The person we saw in the woods...
Kopaka: Its Denmark. This just got so much more complicated.
Bad Guy: How about this. We take a break. Get some air. Then we come back in 10 minutes and-
Kopaka: And figure out everything. Okay. That makes sense.
"Good for them." Yang comments. "If I were in their position, I would need that break." To which the other girls nod.
Kopaka: Tahu?
Sockets: What?
Kopaka: You've been quiet. You don't have any first reactions to something you wanted destroyed actually being sentient.
Sockets: I wanted it destroyed?
Kopaka: Yes.
Sockets: It shouldn't be destroyed. No. I- I was wrong. We need it actually. I need it.
"That should be prime suspicious activity for them. Especially that last bit." Blake comments.
Kopaka: Oh. You were probably my biggest concern.
Sockets: No. Lets take a break.
Pohatu: Thank God. I am in desperate need of a Dr. Pepper.
"He's feeling sick?" Ruby questions.
"Its most likely another reference we won't get." Weiss explains.
Every one walks out of the room.
Takanuva: Greg.
Greg stops.
Greg: Yeah?
Takanuva: Nobody asked you how you were doing. You're back to normal, right? You have your memories?
Greg: I do.
Takanuva: So if you have all of Voriki's consciousness in you, how does it feel? Are you still... you?
Greg: I am me. And I want to become a better person. A person I want to be. Not who I was told or programmed to be. Something new.
Weiss remembers professor Ports words to her about being the best teammate she could be. It was pretty similar to what Greg was saying here. "What more can we do then work to become the better versions of ourselves.
Greg: But thats all I know. That there's a long road ahead. This is a journey I'll have to go on, and I'll be honest, its a little scary.
Takanuva: We're in this together, and I'm happy to walk this journey with you.
Greg: You don't know how much that means to me.
The scene shift to the possesed Tahu talking to someone off screen
"I can't tell what she's saying." Yang says.
"I can. Something about Umarak, the two are probably working together." Blake explains.
"But how? Did Sockets somehow have a way to contact the outside world to get to him?" Weiss questions.
Onua: Tahu? Where'd you go dude? Hey Tahu. Tahu? You're just ignoring me, aren't you?
Sockets: My bad. Didn't know you were looking for me. What do you want?
Onua: In the hard drive, you said you would listen to me. I think its time to explain what my deal is.
Sockets: If I listen, will you leave me alone?
Onua: Yes, but I'm hoping I can change your mind.
Fade to later.
Onua: ...and thats all I remember. Gali was gone, and I couldn't stop her from leaving. I don't even know if she made it back to where we used to live. So I was never originally from here, I'd just gotten really good about lying about it. I blended
Sockets: You've done a good job so far.
Onua: Yes. Listen, I've been given a choice. I can either stay here with you and my other friends, or go back to the house I originally lived in. And I thought... I thought you could help me decide. Do you want me here still?
"Oh no! Sockets is gonna sabotage Tahu and Onua's friendship!" Ruby realizes.
Sockets: You really care about Ta- Me, don't you? You must really trust me.
Onua: Yes, I do. I want us to be friends again. I don't want to-
Sockets: Then trust me now. Leave.
Ruby sighs at being right.
Onua: What?
Sockets: Leave as soon as possible get out of here.
Onua: Please, Tahu, this is-
Tahu: You don't belong here. You never did. A big liar is what you are.
Onua: You can't mean that.
Sockets: Onua, I want you to listen to me. There are not many things left I want in this world. I intend to get every single one. And one of them is to never see your stupid face again. Do you hear me? I said, do you hear me?
"Hmm, I guess I never thought of that. What is Sockets endgame? And what are her motivations?" Blake comments.
Onua: I'll... uh, I'll pack my things so you don't... have to see my stupid face again.
Sockets: Fantastic.
Onua moves to leave but stops to look back at Tahu.
Onua: For the record, though, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
Then he leaves.
Sockets: Thank God. That gets rid of one.
Scene change to Kopaka, Pohatu, Takanuva, and Greg walking together.
Pohatu: Yes, but a puddle? He gets beaten into a puddle? How is that for kids?
Kopaka: All I'm saying is that Bionicle's fanbase grew up with it. The kids can handle a little violence.
"Someone gets beaten into a puddle? How is that even physically possible?" Yang wonders.
"Bionicle is likely for kids on the older spectrum of things. That or it just got more mature as it went along as Kopaka said." Weiss says.
"Yeah. Remember when that matoran got killed by that snake thing in MNOG." Ruby reminds them. "That wasn't all "supper kiddy"." (Referencing RWBY react to Bionicle. Certain sections of MNOG were extended, Ruby is referencing one of said extensions.)
Pohatu: What about when Tuyet got sliced in half by an Olmak portal? Seriously, Greg had issues. Not you, Greg. The other Greg.
Greg: Other Greg?
Pohatu: Did Tahu and Onua ever explain to you who you were named after?
"Oh yeah, Tahu said he was someone influential in their lives." Ruby remembers. "I'm surprised they never told him who he was during his time as Vorki.
Takanuva walks into a brighter room
Takanuva: Jaller? Jaller? Where'd you go bud? We need to properly introduce you to Greg!
Kopaka: Well like, yeah Greg has been weird at times, but- Okay this doesn't make sense.
Pohatu: Yeah, Gregs a psychopath, right?
Kopaka: Is it just me or is it unusually quiet?
"It was on my mind, but I never thought much of it." Blake comments.
"Theres always gotta be someone arguing to someone else in that house." Yang says. "Thats what it feels like it would be like to me at least."
Pohatu: I don't notice anything. Anyway, can we talk about Varian? The toa who's literally stuck in stasis for The Shadowed one's amusement? The last words of her short story were "her screams were the last"-
"I'm not confident that Bionicle was for kids at any point anymore." Weiss says.
Kopaka: Dude. Shut up. Somethings off.
Takanuva: Um, Jaller was waiting for us. Where could he be?
Greg: Maybe we took too long?
Kopaka: Takanuva, Greg, do you see-
Kopaka turns in their direction, but both aren't there.
"Uh, what?" Yang comments.
Kopaka: Weren't the Good Guys right behind us?
Pohatu: They were.
Kopaka turns around again to find Pohatu absent.
"Are they being pulled back to Denmark or something?" Ruby questions.
"No. Otherwise, their body would be left behind." Weiss says.
Kopaka: Huh? Pohatu? denmark.
Kopaka runs back only to be enveloped in a darkness.
"Of coarse. Someone's kidnapping them. Probably Umarak." Blake says.
The scene shift to show Kopaka in a strange black and white land while what sounded like a machine of some sort was heard. Kopaka is with what looks like a copy of himself complete with sword and shield.
"This is just a strange dream, right?" Yang asks. Her question remains unanswered.
Kopaka: Hello.
?: Hello.
Kopaka: Interesting weather we're having.
?: Interesting weather we're having.
Kopaka: I think this day is just going to keep escalating at this point.
?: I think this day is just going to keep escalating at this point.
The Kopaka clone is show to have a midak skyblaster to which he aims at Kopaka.
Kopaka: Wait, what are you doing?
?: Wait, what are you doing?
Kopaka and ?: You're me. I can see that. Put that down.
The Kopaka clone fires and everything goes white.
"Dreams usually have significance. I wonder what this ones was." Blake says.
Kopaka: Ugh, what a headache. I can't move. What the heck is going on?
The screen shows Kopaka tapped to a box with another box across from him has something on top covered by a blanket.
Kopaka: Is this the part where the Oompa Loopas come in and sing a song? Because, if so, I'm going ballistic.
"Oompa Loopas?" Ruby questions.
"Probably some kids thing." Yang answers.
Umarak: No Oompa Loompas here. Sorry to disappoint.
Umarak appears with the Denmark machine.
Kopaka: You think I'd be disappointed? I hate those things.
"Very annoying kids thing from the sound of it." Yang adds.
Umarak: So you'd rather be seeing me?
Kopaka: I'd rather know what happened to my friends and why I'm taped to this box.
Umarak: No mystery? Just straight to the point? You don't even want to know whats under this blanket?
Kopaka: If I could move my arms, I'd flip you off.
"Sounds like something I would do." Yang says.
Kopaka: Wait, why do you have-
Umarak: The Denmark lance?
"This is the first time its been referred to as a lance, right?" Weiss questions. Blake nods.
"I don't see how he can call it that. Its more like a high tech club." Ruby says.
Kopaka: So, you suddenly know how to use the Denmark machine, despite having zero motive for hijacking it?
Umarak: Didn't hijack it. Someone else is in charge of that.
Kopaka: Who else has that kind of knowledge?
Umarak: Oh my god, questions. Questions questions questions. Thats all that comes out of your mouth. Ask one more question and you'll end up like your friends.
Kopaka: No I won't. You need me for some reason, so I can keep asking all the questions I want.
Umarak: Dang, you're catching my bluff. Time to stop bluffing.
Matau walks up beside Umarak.
"Oh no! He's brainwashed again." Ruby exclaims.
"Matau sure has some bad luck in this show." Blake comments.
Umarak: Kopaka, meet Matau.
Kopaka: I know him.
Umarak: One of the first brainwashed into the Denmark program. Glitched him out a bit, but you got him back to normal. Well, mostly.
Kopaka: I recall. Try telling me something I don't know.
Umarak: Then here's a surprise: he's under my command, and you're going to give me the password, or we spin the wheel of judgment.
The cloth is removed to reveal a chance wheel, with "die" written on every part of it.
"Cool with "the wheel of judgment" but he could have been more creative than writing "die" as every option." Yang says.
"Thats what you're concerned with?" Ruby asks.
"I imagine it'd be pretty funny if he had one option titled "live" and by some means, it ends up landing on that." Yangs says.
"Yeah, that be pretty funny." Ruby concedes.
Kopaka: I don't know any password. If you want the one to Bricklink, ask Pohatu.
Umarak: I'm not talking about the internet, I want Denmarks, dust collector.
Kopaka: Don't call me that. Don't ever, ever call me that.
Umarak: Its in that stupid little brain of your dust collector.
Kopaka: I'm gonna tear you limb from- ...I can put two and two together.
Umarak: Password. Or he dies.
"He doesn't know the password, right?" Ruby questions.
"I don't think even the Good Guys know
Kopaka: I don't know the password, you absolute idiot.
Umarak: Did you ask Greg what it felt like to have his brain piece destroyed? Do you think it was painful?
"He's going to kill Matau in the same vain." Blake darkly says.
Kopaka: Let him go. Let him go!
Umarak: No saving Matau this time, though. We're making sure of that. He won't even scream.
Kopaka: The password is bringbackslizers1234! Now stop!
"So, Silzers must be something cancelled much like Bionicle." Weiss deduces.
"Kopaka should have been more convincing with his lie." Blake comments.
Umarak: On, a lie? That deserves a spin on the wheel! Of! Judgment!
Umarak spins the wheel.
Kopaka: Its not a lie! Okay, maybe it was a lie. I don't know it! We thought it was destroyed for years!
Umarak: Oh boy, I wonder where its going to land. "die", perhaps? Or maybe even "die"? Can't wait.
The wheel stops in between two options, not giving an answer.
"I guess Matau will live!" Ruby exclaims.
"That was stupidly fortunate that it landed between the two." Weiss says. "He's still gonna kill Matau though, you know, villain and all."
Kopaka: ...was it supposed to do that?
Umarak: For the love of...
Umarak bumps the wheel and it lands on die.
"Interference! Thats cheating!" Ruby exclaims.
"He's a villain, rubes, it's his job to cheat." Yang reminds her.
Umarak: Well would you look at that. It seems it's time for Matau to die. What a wonderful choice!
Kopaka: Stop this! I don't know the password! This isn't funny anymore! I'm not the one you want, kill me instead! I'm clearly no help to you!
Denmark glows as it charges up.
Umarak: Last chance. Password.
Kopaka: I don't know it! I don't! Please stop this! Let him go! Let him go!"
Denmark fires and Matau's brain shatters. The pieces remain red for awhile before losing their colour.
"I didn't actually think they would do it." Blake says. "Since Vorki isn't a part of the mainline Bionicle, it made sense to kill him off, so while I expected Umarak to actually try to kill Matau, I wasn't expecting him to actually die."
"He might be brought back if his consciousness went into Denmark." Yang reminds them. "Though he made sure that there would "be no saving him this time" so I wonder if they found someway to prevent that."
Kopaka: No! No! Why would you do that? He didn't do anything!
Umarak: Oh wow. You let him die. I guess you legitimately don't know.
Kopaka: YOU MADE ME WATCH HIM DIE! HE WAS MY FRIEND! DAMN YOU! DAMN! YOU!
Umarak: Sheesh, do I even need you alive if you don't know? I wasn't told to kill you, I was just told to kidnap you and dispose of your friends.
Kopaka: This can't be happening...
Umarak: How about we do something different. You know the password. She told me you did.
"Wait, why would Sockets think Kopaka has the password?" Weiss questions.
"He didn't know about Denmark until the fourth episode of three." Ruby says. That was way after Sockets disappearance.
Kopaka: I don't know it... I never... knew it...
Umarak: Do you know anyone else who may remember?
Kopaka: No. But we have someone who might be able to get it out of me.
Umarak: Interesting, do tell.
Kopaka: Good Guy 2008. He knows how transpieces work, or at least part of the Denmark machine. He can extract it, somehow.
"Hehe, I see what Kopaka's doing here." Ruby smiles.
Umarak: Oh, a new tactic, bringing someone else in. I like it. I know what you're trying to do, though. Picking someone immune to Denmark. It won't help.
"Oh." Ruby's smile falls.
Kopaka: I know. You also couldn't have disposed of him as easily as my other friends. What have you done with him?
Umarak: That's easy. Freezer.
The screen goes black again. Kopaka is back in the black and white filtered world, this time with a howling wind instead of machine noise. Kopaka sees his clone again.
Kopaka: Oh, great, you. Are you gonna repeat everything I say again?
The clone is silent.
Kopaka: Huh? Cat got your tongue?
?: Can you save them all this time, Kopaka?
"This could be Kopaka's conscious talking to him." Blake suggests. "I dunno, I'm kinda lost on this front."
Kopaka: Wait, what?
?: Time is running out. You can sense it. The rise of power, the one you felt before. Its all familiar. Everything you thought you knew is colliding with reality. It doesn't just terrify you, its bringing out your rage. Someone with a core of ice melting before your very eyes. Leaving only an unrelenting fire. What will you do, Kopaka? What will you do when faced to face with revelations itself?
Kopaka: The literal hell does that mean?
"Heh. Its like he's saying what we're thinking." Yang muses.
Scene switches to show Good Guy 08 released along with some ice pieces.
Good Guy 08: So cold. So.. cold.
Kopaka: So let me get this straight: you just froze him?
Umarak: What else would we do?
Kopaka: I mean... never mind.
Good Guy 08: Still. So. Cold.
Umarak: Alright, listen up idiots. You're going to work on some kind of invention to link up to Kopaka's brain piece and extract the key.
"He makes it sound easy for them." Weiss says.
"Probably is for the Good Guys." Yang says.
Good Guy 08: Oh my god, my entire body was stranded in Ko-wahi.
"Like being out in the middle of Solitas." Weiss comments.
Umarak: How about you chill, squirt?
Good Guy 08: Don't call me squirt. And I've literally been doing that.
Umarak: Touché. Kopaka, fill him in. We've given you tools to engineer some kind of mind-link thing. You have an hour.
Kopaka: An hour? Thats not enough time to do anything!
Umarak: If you fail, you join your lobotomized friends in the box, which is covered by the red tub of parts, making escape impossible. A Vahki will guard so you don't try to run. Not that there's anywhere to run to.
"Is it weird that I wanna know how they moved that, probably heavy, bin on top the other one?" Ruby asks.
"A little." Yang admits. "But it is a good question."
Umarak leaves.
Umarak: And remember to have fun!
Kopaka: Welcome to the worst day of my life.
Good Guy 08: Everything is numb.
Scene shifts to later where Good Guy 08 begins working.
Kopaka: It was in cold blood. I didn't close my eyes. The least I could've done for Matau's sake was to give him privacy in his last moments.
"Its the other way around. Its usually a sign of respect to not turn away at such things, even if you might want to." Blake explains.
Good Guy 08: No, theres absolutely nothing you could've done. If you start beating yourself up, Its game over.
Kopaka: I don't know how I'm going to tell the other Toa Metru. They were a pretty tightly-knit group. I've know him for 15 years... and he's gone.
Good Guy 08 hands Kopaka a piece.
Good Guy 08: Here, hold this.
Kopaka: What is it?
Good Guy 08: Just something to make it look like you're working.
Kopaka: I am working.
Good Guy 08: No, you're venting. I'm working on a plan.
Kopaka: You're kind of a dick.
Good Guy 08: Sorry. Difficult to be patient after getting frozen and finding out the fate of all your friends is resting in your hands.
"Oh! So thats why you're always up our ass about homework." Yang says to Weiss. "Its the cold of Atlas."
"Hey!" Weiss exclaims.
Kopaka: Fair. You mind letting me in on the plan?
Good Guy 08: I kinda got the idea from Surge.
Kopaka: The one trapped in the red tub of pieces?
Good Guy 08: Yeah. He's tried to escape multiple times, but failed. Putting him in a tub of pieces was probably not the best choice of action.
"Oh yeah. I kind of forgot they can use those pieces, like when Tahu and Onua first assembled Greg." Ruby says.
"I wonder if Perditus ever tried to escape the same way." Yang wonders aloud.
Kopaka: Where theres a will, theres a way. What's the point?
Good Guy 08: We take normal pieces and we turn it into a weapon.
Kopaka: Oh crap. Hopefully with a higher success rate then Surge's?
Good Guy 08: Yeah. We're using on of these.
Good Guy 08 takes his head off to reveal a yellow node under his mask.
"He can just take off his head at will!" Weiss exclaims.
Kopaka: Wow. That doesn't hurt you?
Good Guy 08: Nope. I'm multi-facet. This is a node that I've kept for a rainy day. It has one command: render the target unconscious.
Blake made a mental note of Good Guy 08 saying he is multi-facet.
Good Guy 08 attaches the node to the soon to be gun.
Good Guy 08: We hook that up to an emitter we've built, and bam, it's out ticket out of here.
Kopaka: Thats a plan. I really should've given you more credit. I always thought you were just a stupid friend of Good Guy's.
Good Guy 08: I'm the one that keeps Good Guy sane. It's never been easy for him, or us. But I've discovered that so long as you breathe, you can brave the woods.
"Its that saying again..." Blake says.
"Once per episode. I wonder what its significance is." Weiss says.
"It could be important regarding the ending?" Ruby theorized.
"Possible." Blake agrees. "Maybe theres more to it than we know."
Kopaka: Hopefully, so can all of us.
Fade to later. Good Guy 08 is still working on the emitter.
Kopaka: Its been made clear to me that I ask a lot of questions, so I've decided to stop asking them.
Good Guy 08: Great idea.
Kopaka: But theres a few left.
Good Guy 08: Fun while it lasted.
Kopaka: Its an important one. How are you alive without a trans piece, while the Denmark machine is also alive?
"Yes! Finally! We're getting an answer to this!" Yang exclaims.
Good Guy 08: You really want to know?
Kopaka: I think its important for me to know going forward. I've been having visions... almost like some kind of defence mechanism. Perhaps of I knew how everything worked, they could make sense.
'Hmm, maybe Kopaka has some kind of dissociative amnesia.' Weiss theorizes. 'But why?'
Good Guy 08: Good guy, Bad guy and I have done a lot of research over the years. Good Guy was the first to figure out with the hero's, and get lots of data.
Kopaka: You're making it sound like a science.
Good Guy 08: For whatever reason, we're living plastic. We've observed three forms of life for LEGO sets, and only LEGO sets. Singular, Multi-Facet, and Amalgamation. You're singular- one trans piece to control a body. Its easy for Denmark to control you since theres only one brain.
Kopaka: I don't know how, but that seems insulting.
Good Guy 08: I'm Multi-Facet. Lots of pieces forming one consciousness. You take me apart and its difficult to remember things. Denmark can't control me because it takes too much power.
"So, every piece of him is imbued with... him." Yang says.
"We know what you mean." Blake assures.
Kopaka: So, if I do this, you lose memories?
Kopaka swipes Good Guy 08's helicopter bit off of him.
Good Guy 08: Hey! Give that back! Its only four pieces, not enough to start forgetting everything.
Kopaka: Sorry. Here you go.
Kopaka hands back the helicopter bit.
Kopaka: That leaves Amalgamation.
Good Guy 08: Thats the trickiest. Denmark is the result of many minds into one supercomputer. The computer aspect makes this amalgamation unique. Essentially, its a computer that was clearly created for study, but changed to brainwash people. There's so much good it can do... but it keeps falling into the wrong hands.
"Wouldn't other sets with multiple trans pieces be amalgamation too?" Ruby questions.
"Probably, though they would most likely not be as complex as Denmark." Weiss adds.
Kopaka: You've been doing a good job with it.
Good Guy 08: We've been the curators of Denmark for many years now. We could publish scientific research on this stuff. It's amazing.
Kopaka: Good guy, the implications of this are insane. That leaves one more issue. How is any of this possible?
Good Guy 08 We... Don't know.
Kopaka: All of these answers are finally at your fingertips, and you still can't figure out how any of this is possible?
Good Guy 08: There is so much this entire subject that isn't known. I'm not LEGO. I don't know what's going on over there in Denmark.
Kopaka: ... Dude... what even is LEGO?
"Its one of life's great mysteries." Yang sighs.
Good Guy 08: You said you were done with questions. Besides, there are some questions that you aren't supposed to ask.
Kopaka: Jeez.
Good Guy 08 finishes his build, but its off screen.
Good Guy 08: How does it look? I tried to give it an old-timey aesthetic.
"Oh! Let me see! Let me see!" Ruby exclaims, stars in her eyes.
Kopaka: What is it?
Fade to later where Umarak shows up.
Umarak: Times up. What have you got for us?
Kopaka: Was that even 60 minutes?
Good Guy 08 First off, you didn't give us crap to work with.
Umarak: Really? She said you'd be able to figure out how to get something simple working with the allotted parts.
"Umarak seems to really trust Sockets." Yang comments.
"I wonder how long the two have been working together." Blake adds.
Good Guy 08: Well, we definitely have something.
Umarak: What might that be? This strange device?
Good Guy 08: Yeah, its an... emitter.
Umarak: An emitter for what? Be specific, squirt.
"Emitter of bullets." Ruby evilly smiles.
Good Guy 08 aims the "emitter" at Umarak.
Good Guy 08: I said... don't call me squirt.
Umarak is shot and falls to the floor.
Kopaka: And don't call me a dust collector, either!
Good Guy 08: The moments gone, Kopaka.
Kopaka: Oh. Is he... T posing?
The camera shows Umarak is indeed T posing.
Yang and Ruby burst out laughing.
I think he broke the game!" Yang laughs.
"What?" Weiss questions.
"Its a video game thing." Ruby explains. "They model the characters in a T-pose. Occasionally, the game will glitch and someone will be trapped in that pose."
Good Guy 08: Yes, the instructions are also to make the victim T pose. Its hilarious. Here.
Good Guy 08 hands Kopaka the gun.
Kopaka: Our objective: fight our way to the Denmark machine.
Good Guy 08: Yep. The shotgun has limited use, shooting your way out can't be the solution.
Music starts ramping up.
Kopaka: I gotta mix it up a little?
Good Guy 08: Now you're thinking.
"Oh yeah. My style." Yang smirks.
Kopaka leaves but notices Good Guy 08 isn't following him.
Kopaka: Good Guy?
Good Guy 08: I can't go with you. I'd slow you down.
Kopaka: I don't care. You're coming with.
Good Guy 08: This isn't a discussion. He'll be waking up within minutes!
"Maybe Good Guy has something else he has to do." Yang suggests.
Kopaka: I can't leave you!
Good Guy 08: You're gonna have to. Listen- Since I've met you, you've been hiding everything in. Aggression coming out your ears. You've tried to hide it, but I've seen it, and your dam is breaking. Your friends are gone. The odds are stacked against you. Fail here, everyone is lost.
The music stops.
Good Guy 08: What are you going to do about it?
The music starts again and Kopaka is on the move.
"Aw, I was hoping for some bad ass one liner." Yang sighs.
"He doesn't need one." Weiss smiles.
He finds a Vahki and smacks it over the head with the gun as it turns around. He finds a whole group of them.
Kopaka: Hey.
They turn to see him.
Kopaka: Lets go.
He cocks the shotgun before firing hitting one, then another, then a third. The fourth one gets up close and tries to slash at him, but Kopaka sidesteps and hits him, sending him to the ground. Before he can get up, Kopaka holds him down with his foot before shooting him.
"What! He was down! He didn't have to shoot him!" Ruby exclaims, "Limited use, Good Guy said! Kopaka needs to be more conservative."
Another appears from no where.
Keerakh: Hey guys, why am I hearing-
He is blasted away.
Keerakh: Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!
"Wait, so are they working willingly or are they being controlled?" Weiss wonders aloud.
Kopaka is the only one left standing amongst the T posing Vahki. He continues on foot though he is being followed. As he walks, more Vahki seem to join the following party. Kopaka eventually turns around to see his company. He then notices he is surrounded. As they lung towards them, he knocks them back before blasting them. One Keerahk in particular, he gets physical with, striking him in multiple places before blasting him. A Zadakh tried charging him from behind but Kopaka swept his feet out from under him. While he was still air born, Kopaka slammed him back into the ground before blasting him for good measure.
"Hohoho, I gotta try that out some time." Yang laughs.
He then picks up a Vahki to throw at another one. Two more come at him and Kopaka jumps into the air, kicking them in the face before pointing his gun at his clone that has suddenly appeared. The music turns more ominous.
"Has to mean something." Blake mumbles.
Kopaka blasts him to be sure.
Kopaka: Nope.
Everyone chuckles a little at Kopaka's reaction.
He then leaves the battle field. Walking into another room, he closes the door behind himself before sliding down it. His attention then focuses as he realizes he is not alone.
Kopaka: Onua? Oh my God, Onua, is that you?
"Oh yeah. Sockets must have thought he wouldn't be a threat seeing as he is leaving." Ruby remembers. "Thats gonna be her last mistake!"
"I wouldn't count on it. Two episodes after this." Yang reminds her.
Onua: Oh. Hello, Kopaka. I was hoping I wouldn't see you, it would make leaving even harder.
Kopaka: Listen, we don't have much time, there's Vahki out there and- Wait, leaving?
Onua: Yes, I'm leaving the house.
"Come on Kopaka. Talk him out of it." Ruby begs.
Kopaka: What? You can't leave. Everyone needs you right now!
Onua: No, they don't. Kopaka, I'm done. Tahu was right- I don't belong here, I never did.
Kopaka: Onua...
Onua: Maybe I always knew that. I have friends here... but did I deserve them? I feel like I've lied my way through, so I'm done. It's been a nice run, Kopaka, but once she gets here I'm-
"He's... never actually lied has he?" Weiss questions.
"Not to my memory." Blake answers.
Kopaka: Listen.
Kopaka drops his gun, walks over to Onua, and puts his hands on his shoulders.
Kopaka: Denmark has been taken over. Everyone is in boxes. I've lost too much today, I will not lose you.
Onua: Someone took over Denmark?
Kopaka: Yes.
Onua: Everyone... needs me?
Kopaka: Yes.
Onua: You're not lying?
Kopaka: Oh my God we literally have less then minutes, you baby.
Everyone giggles at Kopaka's response, and are happy Onua is staying.
Onua: Sorry. I've just realized that I've been afraid of losing people, when this time, I just might've been the one leaving.
"And leaving is worse than ending." Blake recites. "He was about to do the thing he hates so much."
Kopaka: No more leaving.
Kopaka picks his shotgun back up.
Kopaka: We're bringing everyone home.
Cut to Kopaka and Onua outside a door.
Onua: What do you think's behind that door?
Kopaka: An answer.
The door opens, the two step inside to find a swarm of Vahki.
"Okay, I've noticed it before but is Nathan just reusing these Vahki things, or does he seriously own a bunch of duplicates of these things." Weiss says. "It seems unrealistic there would be that many Vahki seeing as these are a bunch of toys that all had to have been bought, not mass produced or just exist to be faceless enemy's to be defeated on a whim."
"I think he actually did by duplicates. I can see two orange and blue ones in this same shot here." Yang shuts Weiss's argument down.
Kopaka: Mata nui.
Onua: How are we going to get out of this one, Kopaka?
Kopaka: We be smart. Whoever's in charge, reveal yourself.
"Thats a good plan, though I wouldn't announce it." Ruby comments.
"Yeah. Its best to have a more indirect approach for that." Blake agrees.
The Vahki move aside to reveal Tahu working on something.
Kopaka: Tahu? What on Aqua Magna are you doing here? I thought you were locked up.
"They have to find the truth here." Ruby firmly states.
"Or they could mistakenly think Tahu was the villain all along." Weiss brings up.
Sockets: Uh, I was! And then I got out!
Kopaka: Explain.
Onua: No, Kopaka, I think I got this.
Onua: Tahu, whats your Halo K/D?
Ruby and Yang burst out laughing.
"That'll be something we ask each other if someones trying to impersonate us." Yang laughs.
Sockets: Like, 1.6?
Onua: Trick question! You didn't ask which Halo!
"We gotta do that to! Correct answer, which game?" Ruby laughs.
Kopaka: Also, 1.6 is incredibly generous given Tahu's skill, no matter the game.
"Burn!" Yang keeps laughing.
Onua: You're not Tahu.
Sockets: Fooled you once.
Onua: Shut up.
"Oh good. They figured it out." Ruby calms down.
Kopaka: You're clearly someone else in Tahu's body. Don't know how. In fact, I don't care. No more questions. Step away or I'm sending you to T pose heaven.
"Now I wish I had a T pose gun." Yang says.
"If only one were possible." Ruby sighs.
Sockets: I'm not doing that. Not in a million years, and thats what its felt like. Also it turns out we don't need whatever's in your head, Kopaka. Theres another way around.
Onua: I want Tahu.
Sockets: Tahu's gone on a trip you don't come back from anymore.
Onua: I don't believe you.
Sockets: What, you aren't happy with me? Your best friend?
Onua: You aren't my best friend. I'm going to find him.
Sockets: What about all the songs we used to sing together? The stories we'd create with the others?
Onua: I'm not here to sing songs.
Sockets: You feel it, don't you? The truth? The rise of power? Its all familiar, isn't it? We've been here before, but this time I'm prepared.
"Back with the confusing dialogue." Blake sighs. "It has to be a past event that we haven't seen yet. One that everyone has forgotten of for some reason."
Onua: Uh, you're losing me.
Sockets: I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to him.
Kopaka: What... What are you saying?
Sockets: We've danced this dance. But this time, you're hesitating.
Kopaka: I can't... I can't pull the trigger, Onua.
"He's realizing its Sockets." Weiss states.
Onua: Huh? What?
Sockets: You don't remember who you replaced, Onua? You've gotten to comfortable in this stolen life.
Onua: No... it can't be.
Kopaka: The rise of power, the revelations, its, its...
Shift to a scene with Kopaka, Tahu 01, and Onua together. After a glitch, it is revealed that it was actually Sockets with them, rather than Onua.
"I knew memory manipulation had to be involved somehow." Blake exclaims.
"But buy who? I would suspect Onua on account of his line about lying, but he seems surprised by this development too." Weiss adds.
"Not to mention, I don't think he could change memories if he wanted to." Yang adds.
Kopaka: Sockets?
Kopaka's brain sparks.
Onua: Who's Sockets?
Sockets: Me, Onua. I'm the Ghost that's been haunting your guilt for years.
Kopaka: And you, you're...
Kopaka turns to Onua, his brain sparking again.
Kopaka: Who are you?
"Its the memory changing!" Ruby exclaims.
"But who's doing it? Is it Sockets?" Weiss wonders.
Onua: Kopaka. Be stupid later. Be smart now. Focus on the issue at hand.
Sockets: This is so much fun. Mr. Dust collector over here's remembering exactly what you've been trying to forget.
Kopaka: I'm, I'm not...
Onua: Kopaka, give me the gun. I'll take the shot.
Kopaka: Stay away from me!
Sockets: I did it! I finally broke Kopaka!
Kopaka: I can't let you win. I'm not a dust collector, I'm...
Onua: Kopaka, give me the stupid gun!
Kopaka: I'm sorry. I don't know what to do.
Onua: You give me the gun!
Onua swipes the gun from Kopaka. He fires it at Sockets but its out of ammo.
Onua: Oh.
Ruby claws her hands through her hair. "He should have been more conservative!" She exclaims... again.
Sockets: Oof. Close one.
Umarak appears behind the two.
Umarak: You tried.
Kopaka: No, I have to keep going. I can't... I can't let this stop me.
Kopaka's clone appears
Kopaka: Everyone was counting on me
?: Everyone was counting on you.
"Has to be his conscious or... something." Blake mumbles, completely lost.
Sockets: Alright, it seems that It's time.
Onua: Time for what?
Sockets: Take 2.
An axe appears and Onua and Kopaka are swept up by it.
Onua: Oh crap.
Axonn stands victorious over them.
"Its the guy from the arm wrestling contest." Yang notes.
"Is he working willingly or not?" Weiss wonders.
Umarak: Hey, throwing people around is my job.
Sockets: No, you would've chopped off their heads. Bad Guy, is it ready?
Bad Guy: Yes.
"What is going on!" Ruby exclaims. "I can't tell if he was playing them or is being mimd controlled!"
Sockets lays down next to a familiar blue body.
Sockets: Reboot.
The computer turns on with the text:
New boot drive detected
Rebooting
Tahu's trans head piece glows followed by the entire new body beside him.
Onua: Kopaka, is this the end of the world?
Kopaka: No. Just ours.
"I think Kopaka's remembered something." Blake voices. "He's acting like he knows more of the threat than we do."
The lights furiously flicker when the glowing body shoots up. The lights are killed. It is interrupted by strange glowing lights and a glowing yellow hand rising slowly. Its shows the lower torso also rising. Eventually, Sockets new body is seen. Risen in all her trans yellow and blue glory, blocking out the light and making use of that sweet light piping.
She is then fully seen. Chest glowing brightly, arms glowing blue until they fade to yellow as they go down.
The girls are in awe of the sight.
Umarak: How is it?
Sockets: Wonderful. It's what I've deserved. Keep Kopaka. I have plans for him. Throw the other one in the bin with his friends.
"But, didn't she just say she didn't need Kopaka?" Weiss questions.
Umarak: Uh, We'll have to load up Denmark again with the instructions to dislocate-
Sockets holds up her hand/hook, commanding Denmark to do just that.
Umarak: That works too.
"I guess we somewhat know her threat level." Blake says.
"Activation and control of the Denmark machine at will. Quite a weapon." Yang states.
Bad Guy: So what now, Sockets?
Sockets: We're going to fix everything.
Onua and Tahu are thrown into the bin and it closes.
Cut back to Sockets.
Sockets: I almost have everything I ever wanted.
Blake and Weiss continue to wonder of Sockets motivations and end goal.
Lewa, Kopaka, and Pohatu are seen behind Sockets.
Sockets: Up a lazy river, indeed.
"Evo said the same thing. I wonder what the relevance of all these lines from... something are." Blake wonders aloud.
The episode ends.
"That was quite the episode!" Yang exclaims. "A little confusing, but still good."
"They're building up mystery for something." Blake explains. "I'm sure it'll all be explained eventually. I like this episode. Its really delving into like a techo horror or something like that."
"Then lets not let these questions remain unanswered." Weiss says.
"Next episode!" Ruby exclaims.
AN: Sorry if the reactions seem... off to you. As you probably know, I haven't done this in awhile so I'm probably out of whack when it comes to these. Suddenlyoranges said the four episode is gonna be very dialogue heavy, so everything will probably get explained there. He claims the final episode is gonna be the one to top everything, so that'll be interesting to see and have the team react to. As always, leave feedback, as it is important to both improvement and motivation. Hail Denmark.
