Introduction:
Ruby Rose woke up with a massive headache. She was seated on a leather sofa with her Volume 7 attire on. Looking to her left she saw the rest of team RWBY and Penny seated on the same sofa to her right, she saw Jaune, Nora, Ren, Oscar and Qrow on a sofa and Ironwood and Winter were seated on a smaller sofa that was surrounded by intricate carvings on the floor. Groaning and rubbing her eyes, Ruby stood up and took a look at their surroundings while the others began to stir. The sofas faced a massive screen similar to one found in a movie theatre, there were a pair of large refrigerators one filled to capacity with water and soda, she recognized the People like grapes brand but there were others she didn't recognize such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, and Dr. Pepper. The Second Refrigerator was half freezer as well. The fridge half held deli meats and cheeses to be used on sandwiches, various fruits such as apples and oranges, an unbelievable amount of chocolate bars named: Milky Way, Snickers, Butterfinger, Reeses, Hershey's and several other bars that were completely unfamiliar. The freezer half was filled with various ice cream sandwiches, bars, cones, and other frozen treats. Beside the fridges to the left was a counter covered with bowls of chips and loaves of bread along wiih plates and bowls, to the right was a pantry filled with a plethora of snacks sweet and salty alike that made her mouth water. Next to the pantry was a fully stocked bathroom.
"Ruby?" Weiss asked mumbling as her headache gradually faded. Ruby turned around and saw everyone waking up and trying to shrug off their headaches, she was nervous with Ironwood and Winter but seeing the carvings on the floor, the trapdoor next to their sofa on the right and a mini-fridge to the left she had a hunch and calmed down.
"You!" Ironwood shouted as he recognized the people who stood against him and fought back when he tried to abandon Mantle in the hopes of saving Atlas. Nobody in the room was armed but that didn't stop the general from charging towards Ruby until he slammed into an invisible barrier and was thrown backwards landing flat on his back as Winter looked at him in alarm while the rest of the people there were stunned into silence.
"You're wasting your time James" a five foot tall pale man with reven black hair and wearing black slacks and a silver dress shirt with a crimson tie and a pair of dress shoes said as he strode into the room. "That barrier is designed to hold someone much more powerful than you could ever be so good luck trying to break out."
"What is the meaning of this?" Winter demanded as she helped the general back up to his feet.
"The general is unstable and a danger to everyone here who so much as disagrees with him, and your the obedient puppy who follows his every whim without any courage to speak against what you know is wrong, at the very least you and him should've committed one or two of your larger warships to assist in evacuating as many from Mantle as possible before Salem's arrival before trying to flee, if you had done so much as that perhaps I would be willing to give you two more freedom. There's a mini-fridge with water and pre-made sandwiches in there with you as well as a trapdoor that leads to a small bathroom you can use if you need to, it's better than what weak willed turncoats such as yourselves deserve." the man stated with a glare before turning to the others in the room before offering a small smile. "I am much more excited about welcoming you, I am Lord Deadwing and this is the pocket dimension that I control."
"Pocket dimension?" Blake asked
"To put it simply, I have gained knowledge and imagination enough that I was able to subconsciously puncture a hole in reality itself. My physical body exists and carries on my everyday life on the outside whereas my imagination allows me to shape and control this dimension of dreams and observance. I have brought you here because frankly everything on Remnant is royally screwed over right about now. And none of you are fresh enough to stand the fire, so I brought you here to recover, breathe and maybe have a little fun too."
"I don't mean to be rude" Ren began "but Mantle still needs us, how can you judge Ironwood and Winter when you're keeping us from helping!"
"Ren!" Nora scolded
"It's alright" Lord Deadwing replied holding up a hand "the answer is simple Ren, I used my abilities to temporarily freeze time, at a whim I can send you back instantaneously and not even a microsecond will have passed. I'm not keeping you from anything, I'm helping remember the lesson that Nuckelavee taught you a few months ago in Kuroyuri, if you run on fumes, you'll simply crash and burn, be patient with yourself and find either the good or the potential for good in the situations around you and you will succeed not only in stopping Salem but in a career as a huntsman overall."
"That makes sense" Oscar mused with a sigh of relief as Ren began musing on what he had heard
"What did you mean by having fun?" Yang asked
"I'm going to show you some shows that I've seen before and enjoyed except I altered them so all of you and people you know star in them, I've prepared three previews to show you what I have in mind at first for you."
"Sounds good to me" Ruby said with a smile as everyone agreed with her
"Do we get a say?" Ironwood asked
"No!" Lord Deadwing, Qrow, Weiss, and Penny yelled at the same time.
As everyone grabbed a drink and took their seat the room grew darker and the screen lit up.
"I don't know about this," Ruby said dressed in pajamas. "Come on, this game will be fun, I'm grounded or I'd start with you, just go check it out for me" Weiss said over a video call. The scene cuts to Ruby putting on the helmet and VR gloves and logging into New World Online for the first time.
"Great shield" Ruby mused "I don't want to get hurt so maybe this'll work, I'll put all my skill points into vitality so I won't take damage"
Yang who's played video games snickers at the thought process "Good luck with that sis"
"I know" Ruby shook her head "I'm gonna fail so badly" unbeknownst to either of them Lord Deadwing was glancing their way with a smirk. Little do they know he thought.
The scene changes to Ruby by herself in a dungeon facing down a Hydra still wearing her starter armor
"Ruby, you do know that you're doomed right?" Qrow laughed at the sight
Suddenly Ruby begins bashing down one of the heads before she gets an idea and takes a big bite out of the Hydra, bashing her shield as necessary as she keeps eating the boss monster. Before killing it and getting a unique shield and armor.
The audience was stunned into silence before surprisingly Winter voices their thoughts at what the Ruby on screen did "What the f***?"
A musical tone plays on screen before the title is shown. BOFURI: I don't want to get hurt so I'll max out my defense
As the first trailer ends nobody is quite sure what to think other than how strange that long title is. The second trailer begins moments later
The trailer opens in space with a massive armada of warships flying inside the flagship sits Oscar along with Pyrrha by his side
"Pyrrha's alive?" Jaune asked
"I don't know" Lord Deadwing shrugged "I know people who think she is but I doubt it, rest assured I fit you and the people you know into positions I feel exemplify your personalities the most."
"Your Excellency" Pyrrha saluted, we are nearing position and are ready to engage. Flashes of battle play out before a later scene is shown. "Broadcasting to a fleets" Ruby begins wearing a navy blue uniform with a star sitting above olive branches on her right shoulder and a beret on her head "Greetings, this is Commodore Ruby Rose of the Free Planets Alliance sixth fleet. The admiral is incapacitated and I have been given command of the fleet. Things are bad now but all that matters is to be winning at the last moment, obey my orders and you will all live, have no fear." The scene fades to black with a green haze with the title being displayed Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Season 1.
"Looks promising" Blake smiled as others began to agree.
"I don't know how I feel about her being a soldier" Ironwood and Qrow mumbled at the same time
"Good to see that you can at least agree on something" Lord Deadwing chuckled as the final trailer began
A scene showed Ruby in a cafe with her father Vale PD Sgt. Taiyang Xiao-Long.
"Can I please get an order of cookies for dessert dad?" the young Ruby asked
"That brings back memories" Qrow smiled as Yang nodded in agreement
"Close your eyes" Taiyang said
"Come on dad" Ruby complained
"Do you want those cookies or not?" Taiyang asked as Ruby rolled her eyes before shutting them, Taiyang used his tie as a blind fold to make sure she couldn't see.
"Really?" Ruby sighed as Taiyang chuckled
"What is happening right now?" Blake asked confused
The scene change to show an adult Ruby in an interrogation room My name is Ruby Rose, my dad was a cop who trained me to be hyper observant so I could be a detective when I grow up. That didn't work out.
"It says here your own father had to arrest you when you were sixteen because you stole a car" Head Detective Weiss said
"Dammit Ruby!" Qrow exclaimed
"That's not me!" Ruby defended
"Way to be a rebel sis" Yang burst out laughing along with Nora and to a lesser extent Jaune, Blake, Nora, Penny, and Ren.
"Come on, I was in High School" Ruby scoffed
"Oh, so that makes it okay!" Weiss exclaimed sarcastically
"Wow, I'm sassy in this show" Weiss commented
"Life imitates art, Ice Queen" Yang smirked causing people to laugh as Weiss huffed
I messed up when I was younger, being an officer of the law was no longer possible for me so I decided to simply report criminals I saw on the news who were obviously guilty, as you can see I did too good of a job helping out and I'm in the frying pan.
"I think it's clear where you got your information, you're an accomplice to all these crimes." Weiss pushed
"That's ridiculous" Ruby protested
"Tell it to the judge" Weiss said as she approached Ruby
"Okay" Ruby yelled with her hands up "You really want to know how I know all of this" Weiss raised an eyebrow as Ruby smirked "I'm a psychic" a song played out as scenes from the first season flashed across the screen from a spelling bee to a sorority house, from a comic convention to a civil war reenactment.
In between the lines, there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's all right, then you're all wrong.
But why bounce around to the same damn song?
You'd rather run when you can't crawl.

I know, you know, they just don't have any proof.

The screen faded to white with the words Fake Psychic, Real detective showing in green along with the title Psych Season 1.
"I really want to see that last one" Blake said with others agreeing
"Psych first then?" Lord Deadwing asked with a smile earning a nod from everyone.
