CHAPT 2 - PERSASSY.
Haha.
So I found out today that Nat's last name is Romanoff not Romanov. I thought that she was some long lost descendent of the Romanov family.
Nope.
Anyways, second chapter.
Nick Fury POV
"Sir?" Agent Brason asked as she walked into my office, Agent Brown following suit. "You have a mission for us?"
"I do." I gestured to the two folders placed on the desk. "His name is Perseus Jackson, he has been a part of several criminal activities that mark him a threat. The police never took him in for questioning until now."
Brason narrowed her eyes, "You think he's got cops on the payroll?"
"No, they're all clean, we checked."
Agent Brown looked up. "He's 17."
"He's dangerous."
The agent straightened up a bit. "Yes sir."
"But sir, it already says he's in police custody." Agent Brason started.
"And I want you to take him out of police custody and into SHIELD custody, is that understood?"
"Yes sir." They both said in unison.
"Then go."
Agent Brown POV
As we were walking towards the Police Station I noticed the troubled look on my partner's face. "Hey." I said, getting her attention, "What's wrong?"
She let loose a sigh. "I just-" another sigh, "I don't get how sick people can be, y'know? dragging a kid like Jackson into terrorism, the kid has so much life left to live and they threw it away." I agreed. People really were sick.
I couldn't help but think of Agent Romanoff. It wasn't a secret to every SHIELD agent that she grew up in the Red Room. She, too, was only a child.
When we reached the Police Station, we straightened up and got our badges out. The two of us walked up to the desk and opened our SHIELD badges.
The Policeman looked bored but straightened up nevertheless. "What can I do for you two?"
I spoke up first, "We're here to transfer someone from your custody into SHIELD's."
The policeman's eyes narrowed. "Name?"
"Perseus Jackson." My partner spoke this time.
The policeman's reaction wasn't one we expected alright. He laughed. "Please, by all means, take him, all he's doing is sassing us off when we try to ask questions, most of us walk out trying to keep a straight face."
We both blinked, "Can you tell us which holding cell he's in?" I asked.
"Uh, he's still in the interrogation room, I think we're on our last officer." We both nodded our thanks and headed our way. It was only then that we felt the amused atmosphere in the room.
When we made it to the interrogation room we found a smirking Perseus and an officer trying his hardest to keep a straight face.
"And then good ol' Polly said that he's been dreaming about my torture," Jackson was saying. "I said that it was truly flattering that he dreamed about me but he needed to find himself someone because he'd have to be truly lonely to be dreaming about me." The nonchalance in his voice was what made it funny, I couldn't help the twitch of my lips at the statement.
The police officer on the other hand couldn't restrain the laugh that escaped his lips.
We both took that as our cue to step inside the room. Jackson saw us first, he smiled wider and sat back in his chair. "More company!" He grinned.
The officer finally noticed us and straightened up when he saw our badges. "Agents." He said, trying his best to not to look like he was conversing with the criminal beforehand.
"We're here on behalf of SHIELD, Perseus Jackson needs to come with us to be detained and questioned by more... efficient, people." Agent Brason informed face like stone and was well aware of the insult she just gave.
Again, the officer straightened and coughed. "Uhh, of course Agents, he's all yours." And with that, he stood up and left the room.
Perseus turned to us and held out his hands, "Whelp, take me to your leader."
Percy Jackson POV
I was freaking out, but I couldn't show it. Instead I smiled, grinned and sassed the hades out of these agents.
"So..." I said while in the car, arms in cuffs looking at Agent Brown. "Why Brown?"
Said agent blinked, "What?"
"Y'know, why Brown? Your ancestors could've picked any colour, and they went with brown. Why not yellow? or blue? Blue's cool, I think I'm gonna call you Agent Not-Blue"
"Why'd he pick on my name and not yours?" The agent mumbled.
"Because." I grinned, "I would never pick on the sacred ship."
"The what?" Agent Brason blinked but all I could do was laugh. Wait 'till the rest of the seven hear about this.
The Olympians were watching the hearth with great amusement. After Percy went into custody, he decided the only way to avoid answering questions was to sass them off 'Persassy style' as Apollo and Hermes called it.
Speaking of Apollo and Hermes, those two have not stopped laughing, or cheering Jackson on. By the looks of it they were doing it telepathically as well. Artemis couldn't help the eye roll - or the fondness she felt at watching her brother's idiocy.
The Police were all trying to keep a straight face, and Percy knew it. Of course he did. He knows how to read people, and even if he didn't, a baby could know that they were trying not to laugh.
"They obviously haven't had cereal this morning." Demeter sniffed. "They'd be able to hold out longer against him. Cereal helps with that." Okay, it didn't, but they didn't need to know that.
Athena studied the scene before her, her mouth twitched up slightly from the humour. They were running out of police officers to crack him. Not that they could, even she had to admit that.
Ares was bored. He's been trying to leave the throne room since the meeting was called but no, he had to stay and watch the punk. He looked around the room, eyes landing on the scene before him in the hearth.
In the corner of the scene, was a man and a woman, both in suits. He cringed and said to no one in particular, "That suit reminds me of the time Mother made me dress up." He shivered at the memory.
Athena heard Ares, of course. She listens to everything, and whipped her head back to the hearth. "Everyone!" She announced. "Two mortals in suits are here, most likely from a government agency."
Everyone quieted down. "What?" Poseidon asked, dreading the answer. Now, usually, Poseidon would address anything towards her with malice. But, the thought of a Government agency nosing around in this was enough to make him bite down on the hostility.
Hermes' eyes narrowed and he turned to his caduceus. "George, Martha, try and find what agency they work for." He said.
"Do we get rats if we do?" George asked.
"Shhh. George, focus." Martha scolded, and they got to work.
"Do you think they know?" Aphrodite asked.
"I'm not sure." Athena supplied. "Although, Percy has been seen as a terrorist a few times before. They could simply be there to ask him questions about that."
"We found them." Martha informed Hermes. "They're names are Daniel Brown and Kayla Brason. They're agents of a place called SHIELD which is in short, an organisation that protects Earth from any threats."
"Brason you say." Aphrodite leaned forwards.
"Oh!" Ares grinned. "Yeah they run the Avengers!" Ares had loved watching them fight against the alien attack. There was so much blood, or whatever the chitauri called their blood at least. "D'you know they've got a norse god on their team? Yeah, Thor,"
"The Norse are bound by the same ancient laws as us." Poseidon intervened. "That can't be possible."
"No, not that version Barnacle Beard." Ares chewed open mouthed, on some gum he'd just summoned and grinned at his uncle. "The one with Thor and Loki as brothers - er, adopted brothers." He corrected.
Zeus' eyes narrowed. "Those clowns? Of course they aren't bound by laws, they're not powerful enough for that to be needed."
"Uh guys, We can worry about that later. The suits are taking Perce," Apollo said to everyone.
"Where?" Hermes asked his snakes.
"Where else?" George snarked. "SHIELD's base."
"Where is the base?"
"On the sea." George shrugged.
Poseidon laughed in relief. If Percy wanted to escape, he most definitely could.
"Or in the air, y'know it moves." George added nonchalantly.
The sea god paled. "What?"
Zeus grew irritated at the mere thought of his brother's spawn in his domain, but when he looked at Poseidon he groaned.
He was using baby seal eyes. He always got his way when he used those. But the only thing was, Poseidon only reserved them for special occasions. To make sure no one got used to them.
He looked away. "Poseidon." He tried, but he could feel the eyes on him, drawing him to look, he felt a bit like a victim of Medusa. He gave in, like always. "Fine, I will allow him to go in my domain this once, you can stop now." He added.
"Yess" Poseidon grinned triumphantly.
Then they heard Aphrodite's gleeful laugh. Everyone turned to her, being distracted by the conversation. "What is it Dite?" Ares asked.
"Percy just called Brason a 'sacred ship'!"
