Yami walked out of a middle store with a complete new set of clothes. He wore black pants and black yukata with red line here and there, a read obi was there covering his waist. Underneath yukata he wore a black t-shirt with kanji for "king" written right a few inches below the collar. He didn't change his sandals. There were many to choose, but the shinobi sandals were more comfortable for him. Yami also had earring in each his ears. The earrings were made of gold in the form of magatama.
"Young man, please come again!"
Yami just waved his hand at the shout, didn't bother to give a verbal response.
He came to that store because that was the closest he could find, nothing more than that. However, since that old man had managed to give him a proper cloth. He decided to go there if he needed to buy more clothes. However, he needed to take money from other criminal in order to do that. He got only 10 thousands yen left in his pocket.
Now that he had a better set of clothes, he could venture deeper into this world to get more information.
This world, unlike the world of that idiot of his counterpart, consisted of weak human (they didn't have chakra) who lived in modern era. From the knowledge he got from a criminal he robbed and killed, all sort of technologies existed here. No chakra needed. Human had developed science and technology to unheard level.
However, supernatural beings existed.
The criminal he killed had said that he did have a contract with a fallen angel a few years ago. That dead man also explained further about mythology or religion. While the man did not believe they're real, Yami thought that perhaps they're real. If fallen angel existed, they could as well be true.
And so, he had decided to go to the nearby city where he could feel other energies.
He didn't know why he got sent into this world with physical body and a dark version of kyuubi. And he didn't give a damn about the reason. Now that he had a body of his own, nothing stopping him from doing whatever he like. Sadly, the people he wanted to kill did not exist in this world. He was completely alone; no one knew him and he knew no one.
A fresh start to a new life; his hatred had no meaning here. He didn't feel the hate anymore. There's no point to hate when the object of hatred didn't exist, was there? That's why, for the first time in his existence, Yami felt free, he felt…content with what had happened to him.
Before long, Yami reached the city. Kuoh, so it called. Even though he did not use senjutsu, he could feel the source of the unique energies he was looking for. He was a better sensor than that of his counterpart. He also could feel someone's negative emotions. Indeed, he was superior to his counterpart. Yet, why was he lost to that idiot?
Cursing, Yami went straight away toward the closest unique energy he felt.
After dozen minutes, his dark red irises could finally gaze at his destination.
It was an old building built for worship. But, looking at how unclean it was, the building was not used anymore. However, there's no mistaking it there were his targets inside. Perhaps they had taken the building for their own special use.
Yami kicked the door with enough power to destroy it. If people inside didn't feel his presence, the destroyed door and the loud bang should alert them. And he was right on his assumption. Footsteps echoed, and in all sudden dozens human appeared before him.
"You are not what I am looking for," he said without a care in the world. "Be gone, or die."
The laughter was what responded his warning. And Yami made his words reality. "Extending Blade," he said with his right hand aimed forward, creating an invisible wind blade that long enough to pierce three people at once.
Pain erupted from their mouth, before they helplessly fell to the cold floor.
"Bastard!" yelled a human with so much anger. In an amazing speed for chakraless human they managed to cut distance, trying to gang up on him.
"Great Wind Breakthrough," muttered Yami with a hand seal, sending the human away and destroyed everything before him. "Lightning Ecstasy." And all of them scream in agony as the room filled by lightning.
"Now then, nothing stops me to grace the three fallen angels. Let's see, how much information they can give me."
Raynare had just returned to the old church after killing that perverted boy, and suddenly she found the benches that filled the hall were no longer there. Blood stained the floor, but there's no corpse left behind. The culprit had clean the body it seemed, but he/she didn't bother to hide it.
"Dohnaseek would not do this. Perhaps Mittelt, or Kalawarner?" Raynare muttered to herself, before finally growled and went away toward the basement to confirm it. There's no point thinking about the culprit when she could just ask about it.
The sight welcoming her was not what she expected. Both Kalawarner and Dohnaseek was dying on the floor, Mittelt was stabbing them with her light spear. And, before she could question what the fucking wrong with that midget, both Kalawarner and Dohnaseek perished as lightning hit both of them hard—turning them into dust.
"I can see that you are true to your words, Fallen Angel Mittelt. Very well, I will accept your servitude."
Raynare spontaneously turned her eyes toward the voice. There was a throne made of earth on top of the altar. A whiskered blond teen with red eyes sat there with his left cheek rested on his right palm. He was staring at her. Raynare could feel the dark and evil power from him. It was being suppressed, but she still could feel it at this close.
He is no normal human! He is evil incarnate! Raynare felt fear grasped her heart. Despite having questions to ask, he couldn't bring her mouth to even mutter a single word.
"It is an honor to be able to serve you, Lord Yami. These two are so stupid to defy you. They should have offered themselves to serve you just like I did. Perhaps it was their fault for mistaking you as a mere human, but I did not. I know from the first glance that you're using human as your vessel."
"I see. You're very observant. Now then, is that your friend who holds name 'Raynare'?"
"Yes, My Lord. She is Raynare, my old friend. I have no right to ask you this, but please let me persuade her so that she doesn't end up as those two."
"I see. Very well. Do it."
"Thank you, My Lord. I will try my best to make her understand." Milltelt turned around and walked toward Raynare. "Raynare, I hope you understand the situation; I hope you don't make the same mistake as those two."
Raynare didn't give any response. She was thinking of whether to turn around and run away or not. She didn't believe that she could do anything toward that evil incarnate. But, if she were to run away…that bolt of lightning might hit her back and turned her into ashes.
"Come here, Raynare. Let us talk from heart to heart."
Truthfully, Yami was lost of what do. He had got the information needed. Killing those three was what he planned to do. But that fallen angel Milltelt suddenly kneeled and wished to be his underlings. She had brought a good reason why he needed servants. So he accepted her servitude. Living with underlings to order around was a nice way of living. But, the question, what should he do now that he understood what kind of world he was in?
Yami fell deep in thought, trying hard to formulate plan so that he didn't die due to boredom. However, what plan he should make when he still didn't know what to do? What could he do in this—
I will become hokage one day, believe it!
—Yami blinked at the sudden voice rang in his mind. That idiot, even after his freedom, his stupidity still tried to manipulate him. He wanted to curse, but that one sentence had manage to bring a good idea into his mind.
A ruler. Yes. That had a nice ring to it. This city, Kuoh, he would rule it. He would become the sole ruler of this city. Both human and non-human should refer to him as the city lord. How splendid!
