This is my first fanfiction. I do not own the Fullmetal Alchemist or Harry Potter.
'So this is the kid?'
Edward Elric peered at the palace of a house from behind the bushes. There was some sort of gathering inside. Only one person seemed to not be enjoying the night: a tall and gangly boy with round glasses and dark hair that brushed over a weird scar on his forehead. The four other people- a pig- like blonde boy gobbling up pie, a skinny woman who resembled a toothpick, a fat man with a mustache, and a woman just as large at the man who was petting a dog- all paid no attention to the thin boy as they greedily ate the food he served like snobs.
Dumbledore nodded, humming cheerfully which didn't seem very stealthy to Ed.
'Sirius Black,' Mustang said before Ed could lash out at Dumbledore. 'He's after this boy right? How long do you need us to stay here for? We have our own job to work on while we're at it.'
'The ministry is on the hunt for him,' Dumbledore responded. 'You don't need to catch him, just guard Harry. Mind you, don't mention what you'll be doing with this country's affairs. He wouldn't appreciate it if he knew he was being protected. You are welcome to stay for as long as you need even after Black is caught. I wish you the best of luck Mr Elric.'
Ed scowled as Dumbledore smiled at him. Turning around, he narrowed his eyes at the house and sighed. 'So you want us to protect this kid who's supposedly a wizard and goes to a school of magic and there's some creepy serial killer guy after him. Okay, so I go up there and kick the door down and eat the food? Magic isn't real. It has no relation to any laws of science or alchemy. So what's really going on here?'
'Magic is real, Mr Elric,' Dumbledore said calmly. 'Let me show you. Hold on to my arms and don't let go.'
Ed and Mustang grabbed Dumbledore's arms hesitantly, before any of them could protest, Dumbledore drew his wand and Disapparated.
The two state alchemists hit the hard floor of the Leaky Cauldron. Ed's flesh palm crushed the stone ground as he breathed heavily. His head spun from the sudden change of location.
'Sorry about that.' Dumbledore's voice was apologetic but still merry. 'That happens the first few times people Apparate, don't worry. You get used to it after a while.'
Mustang inhaled deeply and got to his feet. 'No problem,' he said. 'But I won't be staying in your world with Fullmetal. Alphonse Elric would. I need you to return with me to retrieve him. Is that alright?'
'What?' Ed looked up, getting to his feet. 'Al's-?'
'That's fine by me.'
Dumbledore held up his wand and held out his arm towards Mustang, who took it, his fingers digging into the cloak slightly. 'Stay here Edward,' he said, looking at Ed. 'I'll be back soon.'
'Don't go anywhere, Fullmetal.' Mustang grinned. 'And follow the orders this time.'
'YOU'RE THE ONE TO TALK!' Ed yelled. Mustang and Dumbledore vanished before his eyes, leaving him in the alley. 'Well,' Ed grumbled, shoving his hands into his red pockets. He looked around him. 'This is so stupid, but Mustang disappearing is too cool for something he could pull off. I guess magic might just be real.'
Tell me if you want me to continue. Thanks.
