Chapter 1: A Change of Fate

Before I get started with this story, I want to get this out of the way since I don't want to get in trouble for copy rights.

I do not own any of the official Legend of Zelda characters that will be mentioned throughout my story, that should be a no brainer to those who read fanfiction. I do however, own all of my OCs.

Though on the side note, I do not know about Out of characters or Ooc… but their characters are still not mine to claim.

(?'s POV)

I often wonder what the afterlife was like. Was it just me and my final thoughts until I fade from existence? Or would it be like an over exaggerated version of a waiting room called purgatory? Would I meet this universe's God and be reincarnated into a different world like in those anime and fanfictions? If it is the latter, I would hope I would be the hero of that world like in my idealistic dreams… and if it is the former… well, I hope that my soul passes on soon…

For those who could not tell from my internal monologue, I am dead.

…Or I believe I am. I am aware enough that I should be 'awake' in my bed the first hour in dream land, which for most people is too short to even have a dream and even then, they still had something to do, but it has felt like days have passed, and I have begun to wonder if I am in a coma of a sort or have died in my sleep by unexpected natural (or unnatural) means. But one thing is for sure, I am still here, and I am getting bored, real fast. So, process of elimination, I am assumedly dead… but one thing is for certain, I have a lot of time on my hands.

Might as well think about my life up to this point until something, or in my case, ANYTHING happens… But where to start? Most people would start at the beginning, so I might start there...

My name is Isaiah, I was a 21-year-old college student who is a little awkward with people due to being a shut-in otaku. Average height, 5.8, somewhat slim and a bit buff, from what most of my family say about me, looks are above average, but I do not have any confidence in myself in the 'looks' department. I love to make people laugh when I have a few jokes to spill, be it clever comments, puns, or dark humor. I am someone who looks on the brighter side of life to keep a healthy mind. Think positive and try to look on the lighter side of life instead of falling into despair. I would say that I have 2 personalities: My normal respectable way of talking, and my comedic and more sarcastic way of talking. Up to this point of my life, has been… rather uneventful.

'What?' I may or may not hear you non-existent people asking yourself, 'but you are having an internal monologue introduction about yourself being in a dream like state! Are you saying that is not eventful? And why are you making these thoughts of other people who are obviously not there?'

Well the answer to the first question is yes, and as for the second… I may… or may not be a bit on the lunatic side, but in my defense I really don't have any friends to talk to, and I haven't spoken to anyone in what it felt like days… or weeks… or months… so does that really make me crazy?

… Please don't answer that question…

So, I am left with me, myself, my thoughts, my consciousness, and nobody else…

Well shit! If I knew that being with myself would be THIS boring, I would have brought a friend!

Chuckling at my terrible joke trying to keep my moral up, my mind wandered at the other ways to entertain myself…

Wait, did I ever try to move?

I mentally slapped myself as I willed myself to do, well… anything! It felt like it was impossible, due to a lack of any sense of what is where, or if there ever was. Everything is just… not there. Not even darkness, nor a sense of light. Pure nothingness at its fineness. It was almost maddening to be here in this void for what seemed like an eternity…

Heh…You could say there is 'Nothing' I could do about it.

And at that moment, I had just realized that the only thing that was keeping me sane… or as sane as I was… was puns… How lovely! As much as my old self would be laughing his ass off at these cheeky bits, I just wanted anything to stop this nothingness by any means.

I would soon receive an answer to my request in a form of a sudden pressure gripping on my being. It was a hot and burning feeling. I wanted to scream, I wanted to get away from that feeling by any means necessary. But it kept tightening. It was a suffocating feeling, like claustrophobia in a tight room with no way out.

The feeling only intensified when I felt something that I thought only existed in stories.

The feeling was overtaking me like a room being filled with heated water, with the air pocket getting smaller and smaller as the water getting more suffocating as the time passes. I felt as if my mind was getting torn apart.

It felt wrong…

Hateful…

Evil…

For the first time in a long while, I was scared, as I tried to hold on to whatever consciousness I had left as it was being torn piece by piece as minutes passed by.

The last thing I saw, was a bright ball of blinding light as my vision is blurred.

I soon lost my consciousness.

Somewhere hidden in the middle regions of the mountains near Death Mountain, there was a fort that held experiments and was the main research study of a certain group.

The person in charge of the fort was an older Hylian man who had gone by the name of Korbin Jera, who has been currently undergoing research for a project he has been tasked with for the past 6 years…

(Korbin's POV)

Time was ticking on the clock I had in my office with notes, formulas, and tools littered everywhere that isn't the walls or the ceiling. I haven't slept in 2 days since my last idea of what to do next to improve the summoning project. I was so close to the finalization of the summon, and I was extremely tired.

Many years ago, I was tasked to create the Ultimate Darknut by using limited resources that were provided for me by the ones in charge, The 6 Elders of the Round Table, Darknuts who were under Ganon's direct command and were supposedly were over 200 years old. I was taught how to do summoning by one of the 6 Elders, called Genesis. He is one of the cockiest, and most arrogant people, that I had the misfortune to meet… and believe me, I have met some of the most arrogant people throughout all of Hyrule. But Genesis has a reason to be so. He has the knowledge and experience to back it up unlike the idiots I knew.

For the limited resource I was provided was bottles of liquid summoning potion that were used to do the writing for the summoning, and knowledge in how to do the summoning. Genesis told me that it was a prototype and had better things to do then wasting his own time trying to test it, so he tasked me to do it for him… lazy bastard… but I learned quite a bit from him, so I really can't complain about that.

As I was finishing the final preparations of what I need to do in order to exact my revenge on those who have wronged me by using the final results, my thoughts went bitter as I thought back to the burning landscape I once called my home, as I fled from those who were the cause, trying to hunt down the stragglers as they came for me.

I shook my head of these needless thoughts. They were useless to me, as they were back then, but served as a reminder of why I must do what I have to do… what I NEED to do.

Kill the Royal Family, and those who committed the heinous act of murdering and the burning my hometown, Celsius, to the ground. To avenge those who I once held close. Those corrupted bastards will pay for taking everything away from me.

There have been 12 attempts… excuse me, 12 'failed' attempts on creating the Ultimate Darknut Soldier.

Or the Dreadnut Project as I would like to call it.

Most would think for failure of incorrectly doing the summoning or summoning the incorrect organism or object, but that is not the case for me. I don't make incorrections.

A certain group of Darknuts have a different sense of 'failure', as in 'not being able to complete simple tasks'.

When I first did a summoning under Genesis, I was told that I was a natural, even gaining a compliment from Genesis, summoning a mighty beast, with a lower body of a horse, a torso of a man, and a head of a lion.

The 'mighty beast' I have summoned was the main goal to kill for the Darknuts that I have summoned to kill, much to my dismay in hopes of using it for my own goals. If the Dreadnuts were supposed to be the best of the best, they should have no difficulty killing something like this 'simple task'.

Over the years, this creature I have summoned has been proven time after time, to be one of the most terrifying opponents to face off against for any normal foe. It even has unexplained powerful fire based magical abilities that incinerate most to ashes. And over the years, I have yet to name it, since it was going to be dead, one way, or another. I had little to no choice but to try to starve it to death to try to give the Dreadnut soldiers could have a fighting chance. That, and so I could come up with an excuse to be ridden with these trials before the other Dreadnuts could be summoned, the creature should starve to death. time and time again, it has broken out just to eat the other occupants of the fort, but was quickly recaptured, much to the disagreements of others.

By this point, I would have had an unkillable squad if not for these damnable trials, but is putting the Dreadnuts through the trials really necessary? I know that they were set up by Genesis himself and he MUST have a reason for it, but for what? Getting them killed off by the final trail for results of the finalized product?

A soldier is a soldier! If they happen to be 'unkillable' by normal means, then why do they have to survive a certain trial which can apparently kill them?!

My question would never be answered, which annoyed me to no end.

"…Done, with the final theory to create the highest regeneration possible infused within the summoning formula, increased strength and fighting potential, complete obedience (which is self-explanatory), and of course, advance thinking with on-spot battle tactics with unpredictability, and increasing vitality for increased survival chances and finally, a high resistance to all elements… now, for the final preparation." I mumbled aloud as I grabbed the last bit of the concoction that was left to perform the last summoning of the Dreadnut Project.

With the formula complete, I can prepare the final phase of the summoning. And hopefully… I can finally get the results that I want.

(20 minutes later, In the dungeons)

For the summoning room, I had everything ready for the last Dreadnut to be met. It was a spaced-out room with tables to the outermost parts of the room and my important formulas that I need to use for future experiments should I ever get a second chance to do summoning. The remaining liquid was used for the invocations symbols, although I would love to try something else for a change, but that is for later. For the first time, I felt like this might be the one, after all, most successes are built off of many failures. Now, it is time to redeem myself, and get one step closer to my revenge.

As I was about to start the spell to activate the summon, I was interrupted by an annoyance.

"Korbin sir, General Gald has arrived, he wishes to overlook the final summoning." A hired Hylian mercenary started spouting off words with me caring little to no other details other than General Gald and overlooking the experiment.

"I thought I told everyone, to NOT, to bother me when I am doing my experiments, didn't you see the sign on the door, or do you not know how to read? Or is it that you believe that I should care for everyone who wants to see me through such an important experiment that I only have one last chance to do, THAT YOU COULD HAVE MESSED UP FOR ME, THUS RESULTING IN ANOTHER, FUCKING, FAILURE!" I lashed out at the mercenary who backed away from me.

"I am very stressed out, and I am tired. Let me tell you something, mercenary, you are hired to follow, every single order. That is what you are paid to do, that also includes written rules and signs. That is what you are supposed to do, that is what you are supposed to follow. Or are you telling me that you believe that you are above the orders that you are made to follow, and you do what you feel on impulse?" I continually stare at him dead in the eye.

"N-No sir…" He turns away.

"If this happens again…" I swiftly pulled out my concealed dagger from my belt to his neck, making him tense up. "…then we no longer need your services anymore… you understand that, or do I need to make myself any clearer?" I threatened the mercenary, emitting killing intent.

Some may see this as harsh, but I could have had 15 separate experiments, but due to a few interruptions from interruptive workers, I have lost concentration for 2 of them, and the entire summoning had to be redone, just one of them could have gotten me more than enough muscle to lead as a vanguard to an army or small attacking force, especially for what they are able to do as of recently. And this fool would have done me in should he had interrupted me during the chanting part. 6 years of hard work and research, would have been put to a closed for one interruption…

"I-I understand p-p-perfectly sir!" He stuttered through his sentence quickly.

"Good, for now, you will either stay there and watch over the last summon I will do, or you can leave." I sheathed the dagger and turned back to the summoning again.

"Wait… you are giving me a choice?" He dumbly asked.

"I honestly couldn't care less about people watching or not, I just need quietness so I can focus with the ritual to the summoning." I explained to why I needed nobody to interrupted me.

"Oh… hey, you mind if I… ask a question?" The mercenary shyly asked.

"Only one, after that, you will be silent, no exceptions." I stated.

"That case, what exactly is a Dreadnut?" The mercenary asked his one question.

"…No wonder, you must be new around here if you are asking that question. A Dreadnut is what I was tasked to create. A Darknut with regenerative powers and that they are superior in almost every way. Be it in strength, intellect, strategy, and more. Any other questions will wait if you want answers." I summarized what the Dreadnut project was.

"I'll just quietly watch if… you don't mind…" The mercenary meekly spoke.

"I do not, now, let's begin…"

3rd Person (POV)

Korbin has readied his notes formulas for the incantation chants and started the ritual, while the mercenary remained silent throughout the entire chant. There were carvings that were etched into the ground in a circular formation. During the time of the chant, they started to glow a violet color, and then started to emit a darker color of smoke that had begun to gather in the middle of the invocation, and swirl into a dark portal which emitted dark electrical surges as the center had begun to form out a vertical like platform that looks almost like a wall. and out emerged a hand shrouded in a similar color pushing through the wall like portal.

The mercenary was on edge and put his hand on his sword just in case if anything went wrong. Korbin just finished his chant and looked at the portal looking unimpressed with the scene, almost like he didn't care about it.

"Mercenary, settle down, the people and creatures that I usually summon are docile and harmless at first. I've done this 13… well, now 14 times."

"Usually? What happens if they aren't docile?" The mercenary had his hand still on his sword.

"Well, that only happened when it was the first time, I didn't have any idea how wild it went until I summoned The Beast, and I learned a valuable lesson. But that is a story for another time." Korbin summarized.

The hand grew into an arm, and out emerged a head that was still shrouded in the same dark aura, and an illuminating, piercing white eyes as it was forcing itself out of the dark portal in a raging motion.

"Oh, this is new." Korbin perked up.

"Did something happen?" The mercenary asked in a startling motion.

"Yes, it seems like the Dreadnut will not be as docile as I predicted it to be… is this a miscalculation?" Korbin exclaimed. "It usually just drops onto the floor in a passive state. So, just in case something went wrong, I have a few preemptive measures, should things get out of control suddenly." Korbin said before casting a spell that formed a small barrier around the dark creature who was still emerging from the portal the torso is out, and violet color was starting to dissipate, showing the true colors of the creature of the humanoid creature. A gray skinned humanoid emerged from the dark colors and was out of the portal with a burst of bright light exploding from inside the barrier, shattering the barrier causing a rush of air scattering all papers and containers to be toppled over spilling everywhere they were, including some very important research notes and theories about summoning that Korbin has been writing over 6 years.

"MY REASEARCH!" Korbin roared out in a livid anger he hasn't felt since the beginning of his revenge.

In response to this, the Dreadnut roared in a bestial roar as the Dreadnut began to charge at the 2 Hylians tearing up any paper that flew in the way of its charge. The Hylians, who in turn, took out their weapons, the mercenary with a broadsword, and Korbin took out 2 of 3 rods, an electric rod, and a blizzard rod.

Korbin swung the blizzard rod, the vicinity instantly got colder and instantly freezing the Dreadnut 3 meters away, with the ice immediately cracking. The mercenary was about to attack the ice incased Dreadnut, but was grabbed from behind, and pulled back by Korbin.

"I have new orders for you, and you will follow down to the letter, I need Darknut soldiers, ASAP! The ice won't be able to hold forever, but I can stall it long enough until you get assistance!" Korbin ordered the mercenary, as the ice began to break loose

"But what about you-" The mercenary began to talk, but was pushed to the door, falling over in the process.

"I gave you orders; NOW GO!" Korbin shouted before the ice shattered, and the Dreadnut began to charge again.

The mercenary was hesitant but followed to do what he was told and ran out to the halls to get help to subdue the raging Dreadnut.

Korbin froze the Dreadnut again, but it broke out the ice in half the time it was first frozen.

"Damn it…" Korbin cursed as he swung the electric rod, which shot out a ball of electricity, momentarily shocking the Dreadnut, putting it into a shocked state. Taking advantage of this, he then swung the electric rod a few more times to increase the electricity raging within the Dreadnut and swung the blizzard rod to freeze it on spot.

Korbin looked at the rods in his hands and saw that the rods were both were going to run out of magical power soon and enter a dormant state to recharge themselves. The rods were effective in terms of power, but unreliable for long term battles, or multiple successive uses, thus, were not used that often or disregarded completely. The only reason Korbin had them was in case he gotten into a scuffle with any of the residents of this fort.

Korbin still had a few charges, so he could keep this up for a minute more at the most before they go into a dormant state.

When the Dreadnut was about to break out again from its icy prison, Korbin walked up to the frozen berserker, and power kicked it halfway across the room.

Despite Korbin's older age and race, he was quite the fighter, able to hold his own on the battlefield, but prefers to spend his time in research then fighting.

Using the small timeframe, Korbin swung the electric rod to send a ball of electricity to the Dreadnut, then took a look around the area. His papers ripped and ruined, and equipment were everywhere and destroyed. He remembers most of his research, but it still pissed him off to see everything he worked so hard everywhere, scattered, and most of it, ruined with liquid, the immediate rush of the cold of the blizzard rod which made most of the papers wet or frozen. But what puzzled him was how everything had gone wrong. He knows that he had done everything right, but it was the result that was puzzling, there was also that burst of light that happened at the end of the summoning that was unnatural, well, more unnatural then it already was.

Korbin needs to get back to this later, for now, it is all about waiting for reinforcements to contain this monstrosity who dares ruined his research.

The Dreadnut had just got out of its stunned electrical state, and roared angrily at Korbin, and ran at him.

"Predictable!" Korbin yelled and launched an electric ball at the charging Dreadnut and fell to the sudden surge of electricity through its body, but to Korbin's surprise, it shrugged of the electricity, and resumed its charge to Korbin.

Korbin had saw this and swung the blizzard rod to freeze the brute in place, and once again power kicked it away to the opposite side of the room, shattering the ice and putting the Dreadnut in a daze. Getting a bit of room to breathe, he saw that the electric rod was now out of power, and in a dormant state, sighing in frustration, he put away the rod and looked at the other rod in his hand, and saw that it was also almost out of magic.

'I can only do one more blizzard attack, before I become more vulnerable to its attacks, and I could only throw so much fire to counter its attack. And it's strength based on the Darknut, so it will be more powerful than the average Darknut, and it is displaying high adjustments to what it is being attacked with. It might be the resistance to the elements enchantments that could be the cause of this.' Korbin thought in amazement at his own creation, he was not going to get killed yet, as he grabbed his final rod, the fire rod.

The Dreadnut was once again charging at Korbin, but something was new, it was now running in a zig-zag motion.

'It is learning and trying out new tactics. So it isn't in a complete primitive state of mind. But still not unpredictable.' Korbin thought.

It was a simple tactic, so Korbin was able to predict what it was going to be, and launched a fireball to the Dreadnut, catching it on fire, and pushing it back a bit.

The Dreadnut screamed in pain and rolled around to put out the fire before Korbin ran up to it and once again kicking it away.

The Dreadnut stopped rolling from the kick and was glaring at Korbin. It got up and slowly approached Korbin, almost like it was trying to see what Korbin would do next.

The door opened behind Korbin, but he didn't need look back to know that the reinforcements has arrived to help him.

"Took you long enough…" Korbin spoke without breaking eye contact with the standing Dreadnut.

3 Darknuts, clad in bulky black armor, have made their appearance, and grouped up in front of Korbin with their broadswords and shields out. The Dreadnut looked around at its new opponents.

"Alright, here is what you need to do, since it is unkillable by normal means, I need you to buy me enough time so I can cast a restraining spell to hold it down!" Korbin told the soldiers of darkness who in turn grunted to acknowledge the order.

They charged at the Dreadnut, who in turn, prepared to launch an assault with Korbin chanting a spell.

1 minute passed, and it was an unbelievable sight to see, the Dreadnut was able to hold off 3 armored Darknuts with no trouble as they time and time again, get pushed back, from the rage fueled Dreadnut. Every sword-slash the Darknuts did was pretty much an opening for the Dreadnut, since it used this to its advantage to dodge the attacks and plant a powerful kick to push the attackers onto their backs, as it prepared to dodge another sword attack.

The 3 Darknuts had enough of the fruitless attacks and coordinated to group up on it by grabbing ahold of the Dreadnut so Korbin could have a clear shot. As soon as they surrounded the Dreadnut, they dropped their swords, and grabbed the Dreadnut by the arms, and from behind. The Dreadnut raged violently within the grasps of the Darknuts, but they barely held against it.

Korbin was starting to get annoyed with how long the chant is taking, but still kept concentrating on the spell as the Dreadnut suddenly broke out of the grip of the 3 Darknuts, forcing them to fall back as the Dreadnut just stood there looking directly at Korbin before running to him.

Adrenaline was running through Korbin's body from the thought of his life ending as his life flashed before his eyes. Time for him slowed as the rogue Dreadnut was about to crash into him with the 3 Darknuts getting up and running towards the assailant as Korbin was continuing chanting the spell. When the Dreadnut was a breath away, it stopped dead in its spot as it looked to be struggling within its spot before slowly going into a standing position before Korbin, who was at a shock, but finally completed the spell, and casted it to the Dreadnut.

A large neck brace like collar appeared around the Dreadnut's neck, and the Dreadnut immediately fell to the ground with the collar making a heavy cracking sound causing the floor to fracture.

"What is going on in here and what was that sound?" A gruff voice called out alerting the other 4 occupants to the source.

3 more people had entered the room, 2 Darknuts with gold and silver armor and the Hylian Mercenary.

"The Dreadnut experiment has developed… Quite a few problems. The sound was the heavy magical restraint I have out on the said 'Dreadnut'. Oh and fair warning, the restraint will only last for an hour at most so I suggest that we move quickly." Korbin responded lividly while eyeing the Dreadnut on the floor.

"…Problems?" The Golden Darknut asked.

"I will answer that later General Gald, but for now, we need to set up a restraining contraption, so this thing doesn't go rampant again, it already took 6 years of written data, and almost my life. I can't take any more risks then I already have. Mercenary, New orders, I need you to get the Moblins to gather the heavy grade chains and equipment to fortify the bindings of this impudent GREMLIN! [KICK] Who had destroyed years of research." Korbin grunted as he kicked the downed Dreadnut.

The General silently scowled underneath his helmet when Korbin kicked the Dreadnut.

A soft glow emanated from the Dreadnut with the body slightly burning, from the gray color to a light black from the burns, then it looked to have regenerated or healed, back to a…

''''Colored Pale skin?!'''' Everyone in the room said in unison.

Darknuts inherently have gray skin from the darkness infused to their bodies. So seeing that a Darknut's, or Dreadnut's skin in this case, turn to the same skin tone to a Hylian's was quite the shock to everyone who saw this.

"This just brings up more questions and research to follow up on to the years of setbacks…MERCENARY! WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE!? I GAVE YOU ORDERS, MOVE IT!" Korbin shouted at the mercenary.

"S-SORRY!" The Hylian ran out to fulfill his orders.

"Now with that out of the way, I will give you a brief summary of what happened." Korbin started to explain to General Gald about what happened before he got here.

Isaiah's (POV)

For what felt like an eternity, I awoke with a greed for a breath of air, expecting to be in my bed, only to be met with more than one surprise.

For one, I am not in my bed. Instead, I am in a dark room filled with from the looks of it, a circle of words or a pattern of symbols unknown to me that looked like it was a part of an incantation of some sort with pieces of ripped paper everywhere. I am at the center of said incantations, I am in a kneeling position on both knees, and I am chained up with a thick collar made of what I would assume pure steel based off of the weight on my neck or something heavier, since I never felt this kind of weight before, but it was straining on my neck, shackles and cuffs chained to the walls and floor stretching tight so my arms would be beyond comfort. I even saw some mechanism of some type that the chains were attached along the walls, that looked similar to what you would see to a drawing bridge. What I would assume the main lever release to my shackles is behind them.

A group of men, one who was robed, one lightly armored who side of the room next to the lever, and 5 oddly familiar tall heavily armored men, they had 5 full body colors of gold, silver, black. Surrounding me, standing with their weapons drawn to me and the robed with a… decorated red stick?

Hold up… swords, and sticks or if I am correct, a rod or wand of some sort? Why does guy in robes have a 'wand' with a familiar decoration to it? And why do the weapons that the armored men are carrying, who also already have heavy looking shields in one hand, look like they are the size of giant claymores?!

But more importantly…

WHY ARE THEY FACING TOWARDS ME!?

Ok, calm down Isaiah, or should I call myself something else? That was my name before, but if I am in a new world, should I change my name too? Doesn't matter. You need to defuse this seemingly hopeless situation where they can easily make chopped ham with a side of extreme pain and suffering. Ok, what is the best way to calm down a startled group of people who look like they could end your life without a second thought?

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath for a moment.

Thoughts upon scenarios had entered my head of what to say, how to say it, when to say it, and how they will react to my response. Most of them resulting in my inevitable death. It was almost terrifying how little faith I put in myself. But that fear was outweighed by the situation I am currently facing. In that brief moment, I have come to terms that I will most likely die no matter what stupid comment I made.

I exhaled and braced myself for the worst that has yet to come.

And I opened my eyes and I spoke the first thing that popped in my mind to start a conversation.

"Lovely weather we are having!" I spoke seemingly with glee.

Reality seemed to have shattered at that very moment and time itself had seemed to stop after I had said that. What was once a tense situation, had turned into a situation I would have rather faced death many times over then to be in this predicament. Out of all of the stupid shit I could have said, why, the ever-living FUCK, DID I SAY THAT?! If my consciousness could jump out of my body, it would smack the bullshit out of me for saying that of all things, I mean we are in a CONFINED DIMLY LIT ROOM! I don't know if it is raining, cloudy, or hell, even snowing since the area felt cold! I had wanted to die then suffer the embarrassment that I had just put myself through.

As time resumed and reality has settled, and the comment was processed. The silver armored knight busted out laughing at the situation. The other four knights and the man who was at the lever were all dumbstruck at the comment, and… the robed man started to walk towards me… Wait… is that my consciousness coming to finally smack me?

I was still a state of embarrassment about what I had just said when the tension was broke much to the point where I cannot hear them talking. I made out words I could understand, and I knew it was English, thank god, but I was too distraught about my embarrassment to care.

The chains that were bound to me were loosened but still attached, and I fell forward to the ground. The robed men came forward with 2 of the knights, one cladded in silver who stopped laughing when the robed man glared at him, and the other in gold, following closely behind him.

Once my embarrassment passed, there was a sudden change in the air, not tense, but uncomfortable. The robed man spoke to me.

"So, you caused me so much stress, so much chaos and setbacks, just to make a joke out of me? And here I thought the spell went wrong for a minute. After you were summoned, I had to hold you down with magic and soldiers so we could put those restraints on so you would stop rampaging!" He yelled with distain.

"Eh?" Was my intelligent response.

"Even now, you are pissing me off!" His shaded face was displaying fits of anger, so I can assume he has a few screws loose. "I can't believe that the final summoning has conjured something as unintellectual and as dysfunctional you. If I were to have known this would happen, then I would have changed the recent formula for the better." The cloaked man stated.

Ok, something isn't right, when did I go on a rampage? What is his beef with me, and, while I'll admit that some…ok, MOST of the stuff I say is stupid, I am by no means abysmal in my intellect! I WAS 3 YEARS INTO COLLAGE GODDAMN IT!

"Whoa, hold up, I just woke up and you are telling me that I am mocking you!? Where am I? What am I doing here? What do you mean by summoned?! I DEMAND SO-"

I immediately start mouthing off questions getting aggressive before I saw the guy's leg launch at my head and smash against the side of my head, much to the point where I felt more pops in my neck then I thought possible. I felt I would be halfway across the room on the floor, if it were not for the chains that were still bound to me which echoed throughout the room along with the smack. I felt my body give out, but my head looked towards the assailant glaring at the robed guy.

So many questions, sensations of pain and confusion were filling my head with so much chaos I blacked out afterwards, but before I did, I heard the robed man, who I soon began to dislike, say something that would help me find out where I was and would ultimately lead me down the path of despair...

"…Take this damned Darknut to the next chamber for educating, with the same type of chains. As much as I want to pass over the trials, and while I am getting tired of seeing the same results, though for this one, I just might enjoy every moment…

I was never in my life this destressed in what has yet to come.

When I regained my conscious, I looked around and saw that I was once again bound in a room, not as heavily as before, but just my wrists were bound to the opposite walls. A feature of this room is that this had a window high towards me casting a warm glow upon my body. It was bright and sunny…

"…What a lovely day…" I mumbled in irony.

It has been anything BUT lovely. I was verbally harassed by a madman, humiliated by myself no less, and had my head kicked to the side… Wait a minute… something is not right. I had my head done in that felt like it could have broken my neck without effort, yet here I am, still moving my head around like it was not damaged in the slightest… and that word he called me… a Darknut… The only thing I can relate that word to is the Legend of Zelda's universe. Wait a minute. If the robed bastard called me a Darknut, and if the guys behind the robed guy were color of the armor of gold, black, and silver signified the ranking… even if I was a Darknut, I am pretty sure my neck snapped, so… how the hell am I still alive…?

What the hell is going on?! What in the 7 levels of hell did I do to deserve something like this?! I know damn well that I had almost never done any evil! The evilest I ever did was littering, which was rarely, and doing puns for almost every day but is that worth what is happening to me?!

Ok maybe the humility was what I deserved for the constant puns and bad jokes, but the rest and what has come upon me, I THINK NOT!

Almost on cue, the door opened and an eerily presence behind me had sent a shiver down my spine.

"Ah, look who is finally awake!" I could practically taste the venom in the words. I would usually make a witty remark, but that is for friendly faces, not asshats who think so highly of themselves. Especially from this voice who I was growing to dislike…

Ah to hell with it, if I am going to suffer, might as well make this as fun for myself and make him regret messing with one of the biggest trolls… Oh? And the perfect comeback just quite literally walked up in front of me as I saw a bit of his older face. With a shit-eating grin thinking he was expecting a quivering soul. Oh, will he be in for a surprise! With a comeback in mind, I put on my own shit-eating grin to see how he likes it.

"What can I say. Gotta have my beauty sleep. And judging by your looks, I would say it is past your bedtime old man."

I cannot say that I had a more satisfying reaction throughout my last life. A tick mark had appeared on his forehead. With an anger induced scowl had appeared on his face. But it faded rather quickly when it turned into a cruel smile as he pulled out a… rather intimidating whip with what looks like it had inward curving thorns along the length. When I saw this whip, my grin instantly vanished into an unreadable expression which the man thought as a face of realization.

"Oh, what happened? Where did that cocky attitude go? You were so confident earlier, afraid of a little whip?" His ego was getting too high for my tastes, if only there was someone to bring him to shame…

Oh wait, that's my cue.

Gore warning ahead.

"You know…" I started to talk. "Even though I am not that much of a masochist, it is not very polite to seduce someone through sadism without giving their name first, Mr. Nobody. Even though I would prefer women to do this, I applaud your efforts for trying, but I will have to decline your offer." I spoke with a sigh of disappointment.

I looked to him expecting a face of rage and embarrassment, but what I got was something I knew I was in deep shit. When someone has had it with my jokes, they can only make that face, which practically demanded me to quit my antics.

He.

Looked.

Livid.

"You WILL refer to me as Korbin, and you will pay for your actions!" He yelled.

The whip was unraveled, and it was lashed across my chest, cutting deep, and I felt the thorns violently rip out bits upon bits of my flesh within a fraction of a second. I flung my head back, and screamed like I had never before, I felt pain like no other. I shakenly tried to keep breathing just to look down to see what the damage was, and my eyes widen in terror at what they had seen. A large gash of blood was leaking where the whip had struck, bones of my ribs were showing, torn bloody muscle.

But that wasn't the worst part…

It was closing as it seemingly stitched itself together to a disturbing degree…

My injury was closing, and it was closing at a rapid rate. It was stinging as it was closing causing me to continue to scream to a lesser degree like poring alcohol on to an open wound, tears streaming down my eyes, blurring my vison, as I try to struggle out of my bindings to no avail.

"Astounding! This is the best our results yielded yet! It is a shame that it had to be on someone pathetic like you." Being amazed at my suffering and adding literal insult to injury.

Breathing rapidly, trying to control my breathing and emotions, I attempted to reply.

"Big talk coming from-AAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

The whip lashed over both of my sides with flesh being ripped and blood spilling out of me followed by the stinging from my wounds closing. A dark chuckle came from Korbin.

"You know, I am in a good mood after hearing you scream in agony, so I will go ahead and answer a few of your earlier questions since I feel so generous." He started to circle around me slowly. "If I recall, you said you 'just woke up' after you stopped rampaging. Well, usually the test subjects I normally summon would be in a dormant state when they were summoned, but you?" He whipped my upper back and I screamed once again for the cycle of pain of my flesh being ripped out and regeneration to repeat.

"When your body was brought in from the portal, you started to rampage as an explosion of some sort had sent all of my papers, which had YEARS worth of research, flying all over the place, attacking everything in sight, tearing and breaking shit left and right, had to call in some of the other low ranking Darknuts, who have been known to have impressive strength to hold you down. But even still you threw them off like they were nothing and even came close to killing me!" He threw another few lashes which ripped chunks and blood out of my right shoulder and a part of my back, then it started to regenerate. He continued ranting.

"Eventually, for some reason you had just stood there, which we took that opportunity to put those restraints on you and put you in a different room that had was meant to restrain even the toughest of beasts!" He threw another lash me that hit the front of my head and even ripped out my right eye, blinding half of my vision for a few seconds. I started to regenerate.

"After the shit you pulled, and taking advantage of your inactivity, we set up a temporary dungeon in the summoning room, a room which held almost all of my immediate formulas and important notes, in which you destroyed MOST OF!" He started to grow more and more agitated and shouted as he sent more lashes at my right upper thighs and torso once again brutalizing my body just for me to get once again to feel the pain of regenerating.

"But that isn't even the worst part about you, all of my time and last-ditch effort to create something that would have a chance to pass these damnable trials that has been pushed onto me to complete, and I am stuck here at the end of the cycle… With. You."

"A joke…" He whispered quietly as he clenched his hand. It was just barely loud enough for me to hear. "All of throughout these 6 years, to end up with a joke like you. Do you know how much time, energy, and research I had to put into this, just for most of it to be taken away in the end? Out of all of the other test subjects, only you have managed to damage my pride as a researcher, and even more so with my current state of mind." Korbin looked away and paused for a moment... A long moment…

…Was he expecting a response? Should I respond? How should I respond? Either way I know I will be going through these 'trials' so it is likely torture to test this accursed regeneration ability I have. One can just wonder what kind of trials or tests they can put out… amputation, removing my organs, decapitation, cutting me in half! I do NOT even want to think about dissolving… I shudder at the thoughts. Back to the current situation, I decided to take advantage of this moment to see if he is able to tell me more.

"So… What happened to the others?" Korbin glanced at me in annoyance as if he expected me to make another mockery. But he saw a curious face. "I mean, there were others before me, what happen to them?" Studying my face, Korbin turned to me and walked towards me.

He stared at me, while I just looked at him.

"…Why would you care?" Korbin spoke hardening his gaze.

"Can I not be curious about what happened to my other fellow test subjects?" I honestly spoke tilting me head.

"Huh, so you can have a proper conversation instead of making snarky remarks and shit jokes." He looked surprised.

"What can I say, I am full of surprises." I slyly remarked.

Korbin looked to me in the silence of a pause.

Immediately, the whip was lashed at my abdominal area.

"FUUUUCKK! I THOUGHT WE WERE HAVING A MOMENT!" I screamed in agony.

"Dead." He spoke.

"Argh…Huh?" I barely spoke out of my pain.

"They are dead." He repeated.

"There were 12 of them, each of them had a similar regeneration ability, but were severely slower than yours, longest took a half day to heal fully, the fastest, and most recent, took half an hour. But they were easy to control, and unlike you, they were obedient almost to a fault, and most notably, they didn't talk back!" He launched another whip strike at me in a flash of anger as I grunted in pain.

"They did what they were told, and they met my expectations… Some even surpassed them…" Korbin spoke softly and looked grim, almost like he lost some friends. I wonder if any of the other test subjects were friends with him.

"They were the best immortal soldiers anyone could ask for, a damn shame to lose them through these tests." Alright, fuck this guy, for a second I thought he had a soft side, but HIM!? Hell no. He Definitely stays on my shit list.

"After I break you, you will go through the trials that they gone through. And let me tell you this, only 6 had made it pass the alpha Dodongos, but those same 6 had all met with the same fate as they faced the last trials. I hope to the goddesses that you suffer as brutally as they did, if not worse." He said coldly.

Damn, why does he have to be so cruel?! It's not like he can just… get… another… Welp, that is a concerning thought.

"Question." I sternly stated.

"Hm?" he lazily replied readying another whip strike.

"So theoretically, if I was giving you such a hard time, why did you not just replace me in the first place?" Korbin paused and lowered the whip. A realization just hit me.

…Did… Did I just end my life right there? I mean shit, I would love to end all of this pain and suffering, but my will to live is greater than my wanting to die as of this moment!

"That is because I can't. I'll keep it simple for you, there is a bottle of magic summoning shit that summons people like you, just less annoying, the summoning shit had a rare ingredient called 'Great Fairy's Tears' that was extremely hard to get ahold of, and it was a damn miracle we could even have a 13th testing subject, especially after what happened before I almost summoned you. Which is half of the reason I am pissed off so much at you!" Korbin dumbly explain to me in a way that even an ignorant teen could understand.

"And the other half that you are mad?" I asked dumbly, which was quickly answered by the whip across both of my eyes, temporarily blinding me, I even felt them get pulled out.

"YOU DESTROYED ALMOST 6 YEARS OF MY REASEARCH YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" Korbin roared and began his barrages of whip strikes upon me.

"WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! ONE MORE QUESTION! ONE MORE QUESTION!" I screamed out hoping to get my last question out before he gets out of a talkative mood, which I am hoping he will at least be willing to give out before he loses his mind. Thank god he stopped for that brief moment.

"FINE, WHAT!?" He shouted at me.

"What-(breathe) What would happen if one of the test subjects were to pass all of the trials?!" I hastily spoke.

He started to laugh, even falling to the ground clutching his stomach, as if I told one of the best jokes he ever heard. Frankly, for once, making someone laugh really pissed me off.

"Y-You honestly think you honestly think you can pass the trials?! Including the last one!?" He continued to laugh and pointing his finger at me.

"Will you answer the damn question so I can get back to being tortured!" I retorted angrily.

After taking a deep breath to calm himself, he answered. "Well, telling you now and later is like talking to a gravestone, but for your information, IF, you pass all of them, and IF you survive, you get training. Simple as that." Korbin said vaguely.

"Training? For what-AHHHHHH!" More barrages of whips assaulted me while flesh and blood were sent flying in all directions that the whip struck without any breaks.

"No more questions, MORE TORTURE!" Korbin continued relentlessly throughout the day.

The first week was antagonizing, I had my whole body whipped and shredded by the whip's claws so much, I began to grow numb to the pain, but it was still painful. Once every day, I had a meal from the passing guard who I recognized from when I first regained consciousness, when Korbin took one of his breaks. As shit as it tasted, but I didn't complain. After what seemed like forever I greedily ate it like a dog, because my hands were bound, and the guard just held the bowl of slop up to my face… after he left, I cried to see that I was reduce to an animal who was just there for torture.

The second week was better, I barely felt the pain of each strike that tore off more of my body. But the asshole had more torturing devices that included burning parts of my body, electrocution, freezing my torso to removing my organs at one point. The stinging from regenerating was nonexistent since it was almost constant… Oh, I realized that Korbin had a face of ecstasy on his face, had he always had that? It was creepy…

When I got my food from the same guy who kept feeding me, I apologized for my behavior from last time. He didn't respond, almost like he was holding his breath, I know it was probably though it was probably my bloodied state and from the flesh on the floor, I quickly ate, and he ran out to throw up without closing the door, wow, was it that bad? I looked around to smell the state of my room, but It was nothing new. Bits of piles of flesh littered the room and blood was everywhere… just the normal part of my life… or this life…

The third week was boring, I began to hear myself think for what it feels like a long time, I didn't even register that Korbin was torturing me, it felt like what I would describe, the whip strikes just felt like swipes across me, that didn't even tickle. The burns still hurt to an uncomfortable degree, the freezing was almost as numb as my pain, but was still there, I still felt the shock, as it also burned afterwards. But the worst part is that he still acted like I was in pain… was he actually a sadist?

Hmmm… well I was right about one thing.

And when it was my time to eat again… the guy took one step into the room, dropped the bowl, and covered his mouth, threw up then and there… I didn't look that ugly, did I? Heh-heh. But he got another bowl and came in what looks like a gas mask to at least made sure I was fed, at least someone tries to be nice to me.

It been about a month since Korbin had last answered my last question, and it was nearing another morning. Korbin then looked toward the window and sighed.

"Oh my, how the time has passed, almost too quickly if you ask me. Am I right 13?" Korbin spoke in glee as if he had gotten the relaxation of his life. Oh yeah, Korbin has begun to call me '13' shortly after he had begun his ruthless assault against my seemingly immortal body.

I just sighed, what was the point of living if I am subjugated to this everyday cycle? Could something new happen for once?

Right on cue. Someone entered the room and with a noticeable creak of the door opening with a familiar silver Darknut entering the blood-soaked room.

"Korbin! Gald wants to know-DIN'S FUCKING TAINT! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE!?" The Silver Darknut came into the room with the smell assaulting his nose… it was amusing to watch.

What Silver Darknut saw must have been something pulled out of a horror movie since this room is filled with the stuff of nightmares. Blood literally painted the lower walls and formed puddles, with chunks of flesh littering the room, yet the whippings and burnings still continued.

"KORBIN!" The Silver Darknut roared out the name.

The whippings stopped, and the man who was doing the whippings slowly turned to reveal a blood splattered Korbin, who had one of the creepiest smiles that would scare even harden veterans. Silver Darknut took a step back from the bloodstained nutjob.

"Ah! Silvis, it has been a while, how are you?" This apparently named Silvis unnerved him greatly, he knew Korbin never smiled, even more so, he was in a good mood and actually greeted people. This terrified Silvis, and even more so when he looked to who Korbin was torturing.

"Hey there!" I greeted Silvis with a smile while also doing his best to wave with my bound hand. By his posture, I guess he is surprised how easygoing I was…

"Cut the bullshit Korbin, Gald wants to know when the final trials are going to start, he has been getting impatient from your lack of responses." Silvis tried to put on a tough act, but due to the rotting smell of blood and flesh, I could tell he wanted to get out as soon as possible.

"Trials? OH, those trails. Almost forgot, I was having too much fun breaking '13' in." Korbin spoke with a continued smile on his face.

"13?" He glanced over to me. "That is what you named him?" Silvis asked looking in pity at the tortured soul.

"Lovely name, isn't it?" I spoke sarcastically.

"…Quite… and let me tell you how satisfying it is to beat something you hate over and over. I could go on for days on end!" He raised his voice in glee. As he again started to whip me again, I yawned from the whippings as more blood and flesh was ripped off of me.

"You'll get used to it after 3 days… or was it 3 weeks? Eh, I forgot. Want to stay to keep me company? I could use the company." I once again spoke to the silver Darknut while getting whipped without a care.

"…I'll think I'll pass, anyway, General Gald arrived here to see the trials, are you done here?" He spoke hastily.

"Yes I do believe he will be ready for the trials, and I am expecting him to fail miserably, I will be looking forward to it." Silvis was getting more and more creeped out by Korbin by the second. He decided to end this conversation.

"You have so little faith in me?! I'm hurt!" I exaggerated.

"Good, go and make yourself look presentable, Gald is not in a good mood after all 8 missed summons for you." Silvis turned and walked out of the room fast and breath in the fresher air then what was in there.

Silvis's (POV)

Gods be damned, I almost threw up my breakfast after being in there for 3 minutes, it was a picture of oblivion. He never wanted to experience anything like that ever again if he can help it. And what was up with '13'? looked like he didn't care that his own flesh was flying everywhere… doesn't matter, I headed towards the others for the gathering, anything to get my mind off of what happened in there. And go back to the Fort Nuel where I belong, this place is more than a hell hole.

Isaiah's (POV)

Korbin looks back to me and sighs as he begins to walk out the door.

"Looks like our fun time is over for now 13, how unfortunate. I will send a Darknut from Gald's group to get you ready for the trials, can't have you look like shit now can we 13?." He said nonchalantly

"Oh, so you do care." I spoke sarcastically as he walked out of the room and the door shut.

"…Yeah, wouldn't that be wonderful…" Isaiah mumbled.

Welp, looks like it is almost time for my escape… good, I was getting bored of the scenery, as nice as it was. I pulled onto the chains for a bit of testing, I haven't been struggling when Korbin was here, but I did try more than once to get out of these restraints by pulling on them with extreme force, which he heard from time to time the stone cracking from the pressure. Damn, the right one is still holding strong. Looks like that the other is going to bust in 3 more days at least... damn, looks like I will have to be escorted…

Guess I will have to wait to have fun then… I looked to see myself… damn, I look terrifying, I was still bloodied, and I just realized that I only had my boxers on…wait… THESE BOXERS AREN'T MINE!

My thoughts wondered to who could have dressed me, when the image of the poor guard had to feed me putting on the underwear onto me.

…That was a disturbing image.

Anyways, I am going to need clothes if I am going to go on a rampage. You can't go on a good rampage without looking decent.

Hope that the guard have style, at least a muscle shirt, otherwise I'll make do without one and just settle for just pants.

15 minutes pass…

So how long until the guard or whoever is going to get me?

Then I heard an unfamiliar voice and heavy armored steps echo outside of the door, seems like I might it has been a while since I had a joke planned out… I wonder how they would react…

I looked around once again, and saw my blood and flesh everywhere, it was horrific and thought of the perfect act. Makes me wonder why I didn't do one on the guy who feeds me.

"Let's see if I still got my acting talent."

An evil smile crept onto my face.

10 minutes earlier

3rd (POV)

Korbin had gotten himself cleaned and looked normal, except he had a smile on his face and looked cheery, relaxed, as if he doesn't have a care in the world, he made his way to the gathering hall to meet up with Gald for the final preparations for the last test.

Everyone who passed by Korbin recently, had a frightened look on their face. Korbin, despite being a Hylian, who has turned from the rest of the kingdom after a tragic incident happened involving his noble family being killed by corrupted faction of the Royal Family for reasons kept hidden by himself, has joined the dark side for revenge against all of the royal family. He has proven his worth by being ruthless and getting the job done, and even more so, gaining the attention of the higher ups. Raising through the ranks as one of the most dedicated soldiers that the evil army witnessed, even the Elders of the Round Table to some extent was amazed by his perseverance against the kingdom. And has been granted Head of Research due to his vast knowledge and eagerness to learn more information. Even taking the unofficial title of being the sternest man who ever lived, by some of the residents.

With whispers going among the lines of various thoughts of Bolbins, Moblins, and mercenaries alike, "What the hell happened to him? Who pissed him off so much toward the point of smiling? Are we going to die tomorrow?!"

Of course, he heard this, but he was too much in a good mood to shut them up. He made his way to the gathering hall and opened the door. Gald, Silvis, and a few low ranking Darknuts waited for the person in question to arrive. Those who saw who entered, where at a loss for words, Korbin was smiling... and even humming… Those who heard of him, thought if the rumors have been about someone else, or were false. Gald heard Silvis's report of Korbin, but to hear about it and seeing it for himself is a whole new experience. Even Gald was unnerved by the smile that dawns upon Korbin's face.

"Apologies for the multiple delays, I lost track of time with '13'."

"…So I have heard…" Gald hesitantly replied.

Silvis spoke. "We have the set up for each trail, but do we really need the last one?" Silvis looked concerned. "I mean it is such a waste to throw away such valuable soldiers who can literally recover within hours, especially this recent one, he looks promising!" Silvis tried to reason.

Korbin's gaze hardened to his usual face, which eased most of the people.

"No, he will go through the 10th trail, should he die, then good riddance, if he passes, then he will go to training as planned. Though through the recent results and experiments I have conducted, I am doubtful that he will even succeed." Korbin mused.

"…We will see..." Gald spoke.

"Good, then the session has ended. I will prepare for the trials in the arena. Get one of your Darknuts to fetch 13, he is in the room furthest in the dungeon." Korbin smiled happily and almost skipped out the door… Gald looked toward Silvis, who immediately denied.

"Ah hell no, I already had to fetch Mr. Keese-Shit crazy, I am not going back there to relive that hell hole, no matter how many matches I have to go against you." Silvis protested. A glint of excitement appeared through Gald's helmet. Silvis immediately regretted saying that, and quickly proposed a reasoning. "Get one of the newbies to do it, like Eris! Get her feet wet for the war that has yet to come." He tried to reason to Gald, hoping he doesn't see through his bullshit excuse of a reason.

"Sir?" Said a Darknut in a slightly smaller, and lighter version of the heavy armor.

"Hmmm…" Gald thought to himself.

Gald saw his point and knew about the weak female Darknut in his ranks even knew of the bullying but could not show favoritism among the Darknuts, they were prideful of their strengths and despise weakness within the group, but more importantly, it would make the bullying worse for her. Which is why he brought her along for her for her experience which she could prepare for the dark side of war and get a break from the constant harassment.

He made his decision.

"Eris… go find this…'13'… fellow." He slowly said.

"Yes sir! Where is the dungeon room again?" she eagerly said.

"Somewhere in the lower end of the fort. The keys to his shackles are on the outside of the door, kinda hard to miss his door when there is an obvious room, good luck, bye, thank you." Silvis hastily said as he comedically pushed Eris, who was at a back-slant with dirt coming up from the heels of her heavy boots, out of the door and happily slammed the door.

Eris's (POV)

I am surprised by the sudden inclusion of getting the privilege of getting the honor to see and retrieve one of the rumored Dreadnut, who are said to outclass the Darknuts in every aspect. Strength to overpower foes. Quick reflexes and stamina to outlast anyone on the battlefield and still go on. And best of all… One of the best strategists to match even the brightest minds. This is my chance to ask for advice to improve myself.

But what Silvis said concerned me… he has always been weird, like me, but, weirder then usual… Why did he not want to get the Dreadnut? Was he that scary? Was he also… hateful to 'weakness'?

I shook my head; I need to get that out of my mind thoughts like that is what prevents success. Like General Gald once said, "First to falter; First to go down!" Look towards the brighter future. After all, Gald will be counting on me, wait maybe he had it arranged like this so I would improve by meeting the Dreadnut!

"Now, where did I put that map?" I checked my pockets only to realize that I do not have it… did… did I leave it on the cart?!

…shit…

…I don't think that it is a good time to admit to myself that I am bad with directions…

"First to falter; First to go down! Now where are the stairs…" With renewed confidence, I went off to find those stairs…

After a while of going with my gut, I have finally found the stairs… it totally didn't take me 8 minutes of wandering around to find it. I went down the stairs.

The smell of blood… I wasn't used to it, and it still scared me a bit, but a little blood won't deter her from her ticket of getting stronger.

"You got this Eris; This won't be enough to pull away from disappointment."

I marched onto my way to get stronger, with the footsteps echoing throughout the halls.

[An evil smile crept onto my face.]

A dreading sense of foreboding has crept up my spine and froze mid-step before stumbling barely catching myself. I looked back to see if anyone saw me fumble. Thank the goddesses there wasn't any. I looked back forward and continued to march down the hall. Noticing the sense of blood getting stronger. I dreaded the way to my destination…

Author's notes.

Hello, thank you for taking your time to read my first fanfiction, I hope you enjoyed my work, I had put some ideas for this story for a good amount of time. there are some questions that will leave you questioning about consistency, but I promise, everything will make more sense as the time goes on.

I actually had this story in mind for quite some time but did not actually have the Triforce of Courage to help me write this out. But I just wanted to impress a certain someone who had a similar situation as me, and because of him, I got my own courage and I made it. Should this ever see any positive feedback from other people, I would try to smash my head into a boulder for me to get inspiration. Because in this reality, I have regeneration powers!

'Wait… wouldn't that lead to brain damage and trauma?' I may or may not hear you guys asking. Welp, let us find out with this convenient big ass boulder that happens to be here.

But before that! I will answer some questions that may pop up or not!

Question 1, why all of the different Points of Views?

Answer, it would be dull to just see out of one character's eyes while I did plan to have the original story like that, I don't think that I would be able to keep up the pace without losing interest or keep up with some gags in my story, also, it helps the reader understand the thoughts of the other characters in the story. So I hope that answers that question.

Question 2, why are there other signs of magic in this story like summoning and the binding spells? Isn't that a part of something like Dungeons and Dragons, or something similar to that?

Answer, there will be somethings that I would like to implement form other fiction games/anime alike. Be it references, magic usage, weapons, or other creatures… well, hopefully I don't have to get anything too out of reach from the game series, I would like to have a consistent story with reasonable explanation. Like a certain creature that will make an appearance in due time.

That will be all of the questions that I will be answering for now, if any more pop up, I may or may not answer them, depending on what the question is, but who knows, I just might answer them personally.

And constructive criticism would be nice to hear from, I take no hostility what-so-ever from hearing opinions in improving my story, senseless bashing however, would gain my ire.

"This is RedTokyo95 signing off." RedTokyo said before readying to smash his head into the boulder.
