College was fun and all.

It was less fun when you couldn't drink at the drinking parties, and the girl you were in the process of courting had to attend highschool classes instead of college classes. Naruto was passing the time by watching his workers with with his all seeing eyes. He wanted to surprise Koneko with a tasty sweet, so he had the baked goods division working on something that he believed would appeal to her tastes, and it would be delivered to his apartment the second that it was finished.

Tonight was the night.

He was going to invite Koneko over so that she could do her homework at his place, and he could help her study. That was when he was going to make a move on her and go in for the kiss.

"Ah..." Naruto saw a problem.

So he got his phone out and started to test the manager for the video game developers in his company, to tell them that they needed to make sure to back up their work. They had a couple of minutes before there would be a large power outage that would cut their progress back a lot. He would rather them not need to redo their own. Sending the text only took a couple of moments, and Naruto smiled in satisfaction when he watched his workers save their work. Then, a couple of minutes later the power went out at that division.

An idiot driver crashed into the pole holding up the power lines, contact somebody to fix it.

Naruto sent that text to Iruka, managing his company through Iruka was always something that he knew he could rely on. Iruka was one of the few workers that new that he could see the future, and that he could see everything in any place that he had been before selectively. It was why he made sure to visit every room in every building he owned, so that he could watch all of them and see into the future.

Go to the Research Department, and remove access from Employee 297, he's going to steal the Anti-Magic weaponry and try to sell the designs if left to his own devices.

Naruto could even see employees that were plotting betrayal, he was watching one employee contact somebody outside of the company. He could see the email he was reading right now, and how he was responding with how he was getting close to hitting it big. Naruto knew this employee was a rival company spy from the beginning, but it didn't matter because he was a good worker. Naruto made sure to make perfect use of his skills in a way that he could not gain anything of use to sell, always staying one step ahead of any potential theft of his property and designs. It was kind of fun for him to play a one sided game of chess with a spy that didn't know that he had already been discovered.

What reason should I give?

He's being reassigned to the Network Division, lets see how well he does with trying to steal the new cellphone network being designed there.

"Heheheh... it's funny, because if he complains..." Naruto was having fun taunting the spy, because as a spy he couldn't quit. He had to give his best efforts to move up and put himself in a position to steal, but the fact that Naruto would never let him be in that position meant that he needed to put forth even more effort than some of the most loyal employees. Spies typically worked even harder than those who would give life and limb for the company, which made them very useful in moderately important roles that didn't put them in a position to steal anything.

He kept giving the spy a taste of a goal, and removing it from him. Eventually the spy would either become loyal to him, or they would leave physical evidence that he could use to blackmail the company that had sent the spy. He would financially destroy his rival companies and absorb them into his own company under the table, if they wanted to play this sly game with him he would play it right back.

He would win.

"Uzumaki-kun, do you want to come with us... to... our room?"

"No thanks, I've got plans, but thanks." Naruto smiled at the girls, who seemed to be inviting him for some kind of threesome.

"You always have plans!"

"Sorry, I'm a really busy guy." Naruto apologized as he got up at the end of the lecture, and left the classroom with a wide smile on his face.

"Uzumaki-san."

"... I'm sorry, but I don't have time to speak with you right now, really busy." Naruto knew his scent was being hidden by his charm, but he could smell the scent of a youkai coming from the girl that approached him bashfully. She didn't even try to mask her youkai scent, and it was enough to make him want to see her walk away as fast as possible. Still, she was at the college for education, and he wasn't cruel enough to deny her any contact with humans either.

So he walked away.

-Later that Night-

"There we go... snacks all set out... the teapot is heating up... and I've got the Da Hong Pao leaves all ready... better not tell her what kind of tea this is, don't want her to freak out." Naruto had brought 4 pounds of the dried tea leaves, and a single pound of Da Hong Pao was worth more than $600,000. It was the most expensive teas, and even if Koneko didn't know about hiow expensive this tea was going to be, Naruto wanted to treat her to something he knew that she had never tasted before.

He was going to let her take a pound of it home with her, and save the rest for special occasions.

The cake that was prepared with melted down Russian Alenka chocolate, extremely popular and tasty, and fluffed up with a recipie from his bakers. That was just the icing, the cake itself was painfully crafted by the very best of his bakers. If Koneko liked this, he would make sure to start getting some stores of his to sell it. If she enjoyed it, he would make sure that it started to spread across Japan as a trend.

There was calming music playing.

Background noise for easy of studying, slightly jazzy as well to set that romantic mood he wanted for his first kiss with Koneko. This wasn't his first kiss, his first kiss had been a damn disaster and an accident that he would rather forget. Naruto wasn't going to tell Koneko how much money that he was going to be spending on this.

This kiss was going to be worth more than most people would ever make in their lifetimes, he didn't want Koneko to know that, but he wanted to have that knowledge to himself. That to him, Koneko was more than worth putting all of this effort into. It was all for his own self-satisfaction, but that was what made it worth it. It would have only been more satisfying if he could get the stuff himself and not just buy it.

It was extremely wasteful spending.

To him this was worth it, and it was his money as well. Since he was 7 years old, he had spent so much time inheritting the company and growing it to a massive size. He started with a company only worth several hundred thousand, and with his gifts he turned it into the global company that it was evolving more into every day. He could more than efford to wastefully spend his money on something this important to him.

Being rich was nice every now and again.

Being rich and very few people KNOWING he was rich was even better, and he would prefer that as few people learn of his wealth as possible. Koneko never needed to know he was spending this much money, and he never had any intention of bringing it up with her either. This was completely for his own satisfaction, to say that his first kiss with this girl was worth millions upon millions. It also would help him go further in making ammends for his horrible and traumatic first kiss.

-Several Hours Later-

Sorry Naruto, something came up, have to cancel.

...

"... Hahahahaha! Guess I'll save the tea for later then... and put this cake in the fridge." Naruto wasn't even that angry, he was sure that if Koneko was cancelling on him then she had a good reason for it.

Being angry at Koneko for not being able to spend all her time with him wouldn't be good for him, it would show him to be controlling. He was happy to wait for another day for this to go down, the kiss would be even sweeter from anticipation after all.
