This takes place after the end of Pokémon Sun and Moon Episode 146 - "Thank You, Alola". Just as Ash leaves the Alolan region, Kukui and Burnet are wondering what are they going to do; without their "Alolan" son. It will be a rough time for them, as they both admit that they truly miss Ash, and want him to be a permanent member of their family.
