Location: Little Garden
Time: Afternoon
Finding Mr.3 was super easy barely an inconvenience, while he did appear to be trying to stay out of site of any incoming ships to the island by dropping anchor in a well concealed area, it did nothing to stop someone inland from spotting it. And can I just say for a secret organization, they really love to identify themselves. The ship has the number '3' on it bow as well as 'Mr.3' on the side and one of the sails has a 'BW' painted on.
'Gee I wonder who ship that is?'
Mocking thoughts about secret but not really organizations aside, the reason I haven't made my move yet is twofold. First because of future consequences of my actions today. Mr.3 while just a nobody side villain right now is instrumental later in the series. He helps the Straw-Hats and Smoker escape after Crocodile imprisons them in a Sea Prism stone cage thus saving them from drowning. He also releases Ace by taking the place of one of the excursioners during the war arc. Truthfully that's not much of a hang up as it would be, with me around I could probably come up with away to handle both situations. Now I don't get me wrong I do think I'm anywhere strong enough to break Sea Prism stone, but I know the traps are coming and shouldn't have a problem not falling into it and getting the key outta the banana crocodile would be no trouble. As for the Ace problem I've already got a plan in the works for that so I really don't need Mr.3 for that either.
That just leaves the other problem, or person in this case. Miss.Goldenweek. The partner of Mr.3 and the really power in this outfit, at least for me. While Mr.3's candle wax is strong I'm confident I could break through it with little issue, on the other hand Miss. Goldenweek's attack are mental in nature and while it is hinted at that a person with a strong enough will could over come them, Kryptonians are well known for having horrible mental defenses. So, my only option was to wait, wait till the two split up which given the absolute lazy attitude of Miss. Goldenweek that shouldn't be too hard.
It takes about an hour of waiting but eventually I spot them on. Mr.3 is an averaged-sized man about 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 10 inches, he looks kinda frail thinner than what I'm used to, but that's not a surprise One Piece characters always had that sort of long-limbed thin look about them. The most notable thing about him is his black hair in the shape of the number 3 on top of his head which is currently smoldering as if it'd just been on fire, it probably was. His blue rimmed glasses look more like goggles but I guess he picked them to match his blue striped vest dicky thing a pink bow tie and light pants finishes off the wacky look. But I'm not one to talk with my barbarian chic look.
"Alright Miss. Goldenweek lets head in and setup a base, according to the Unluckies, Mr. 5 and Miss. Valentine should be joining us within the next few days. We should be prepared to receive them and prove why we are a high number agent by succeeding where they failed." Mr. 3 spoke in a voice that subtext scream how superior he believed himself to be.
"…" As shown in the show Miss. Goldenweek is a girl of few words, looking like a little girl no older than 13 or 14, though I knew she was actually 16, he dark red hair tide in pigtails didn't help and neither did the rose blush on her cheek that I wasn't sure was natural or makeup. Her outfit was much louder than she ever seems to be. Wide rim pink hat with a green strip circling it, what look like a blue Hawaiian shirt with clouds on it, a dark blue shirt with an orange color and lettering the seem to spell 'GOLDEN', a marron spilt long skirt with large white straps of some kind that didn't serve any noticeable purpose, blue striped socks that covered both her legs completely and pink and white shoes. She was a host of different colors, which I guess fit her "Artist" theme.
The girl looked up at Mr.3, she couldn't be taller than 4 feet 9 so there was a good foot height difference, before looking over at the jungle that was Little Garden before turning back to Mr. 3 then looking over at the table on deck filled with tea and snacks before finally staring Mr. 3 in the eyes tilting her head slightly. I got her meaning loud and clear and it seemed so did Mr. 3.
"Fine, I'll go set up a base, you remain here and watch the ship till I retu- AT LEAST WAIT TILL I'M DONE TALKING BEFORE YOU WALK AWAY." Miss. Goldenweek doesn't even pretend to be listening as she pours herself a cup of tea and add several crackers to her plate. Mr. 3 seeming to be used to this kind of thing just shakes off his annoyance before departing the ship. I watch him till he's a decent distance away, in case sneak attack fails and this devolves into an actual fight. I dive into the water, the knowledge that I can hold my breath for a literal hour turned me from a drowning risk to an Olympic swimmer, and stay under as I make sure she hadn't noticed me. I shouldn't have bothered weather it was the lapping of the waves against the cliff or her complete disinterest in her surroundings she didn't so much as look up from her snack. I swam underneath the ship and towards the back while scan the ship with my X-ray vision.
I quickly notice something that has me nearly drown from shock. I can't see everything on bored. Now the vast majority of the ship is visible to me, but certain spots are completely blank. Lead is my first thought, I discovered pretty early on that I like other Kryptonians couldn't see through lead. I scrap that idea, some of these places didn't make sense for it, and unless you're telling me that for some reason, Mr. 3 had a room on his ship completely in cased in lead for no apparent reason.
I've got a bad feeling'
I climb the back of the ship and sneak aboard with practice easy, living on an island full of apex predators teaches you very quickly that just because you're stronger than everything there doesn't mean you'll get to eat every night without working for it. I don't immediately go for Miss. Goldenweek, instead I head into the ship and make my way to her room instead. Her biggest trump card is her paints and art supplies and though it makes me feel like an asshole I need to get rid of it all. It's easy to locate which room is hers even easier to toss all the art supplies I find over board, I double then triple check everything before I begin to head towards Miss. Goldenweek. I stop as I make my way out of her room and look towards a white door that was down the hall. Curiosity gets the better of me and I take a detour. I stand in front of the door, to an outside observer there was nothing special about this particular door other then the stark whiteness of it. If you weren't aware of whose ship this, was you could be forgiven for thinking it was some kind of white metal. I knew what it was, and it bothered me great. This door made out of what could only be Mr. 3's candle wax was some how blocking my X-ray vision. I couldn't see into the room at all. I decide to open it, something about a room you can't see in just screams 'there's something in here that will cause you trouble later', fuck foreshadowing.
"Huh, I mean they are bounty hunters so I really shouldn't be surprised and yet." The room look like a prison, but everything in it is made out of the bright white candle wax of Mr. 3, the floors, the walls, and the cell bar, all of it candle wax. Given that he claimed its harder than steel and cheaper for him to make it makes sense he would use it like this. There was only one large cell but only big enough to comfortable hold 3 or 4 people if they like each other, but most pirate crews and this part of the Grand Line don't have more than 2 crewmates with bounties. Also in this room was several items that would come in very handy in dealing with these and any other Baroque Works agents.
"Guess someone's looking out for me." I quickly grab what I need to deal with Miss. Goldenweek and quietly make my way back to the deck. The girl hadn't moved so much as a muscle during my time exploring the ship. I quietly move behind her before calming reaching out and taping on her shoulder. Even with my superior senses the girl doesn't even seem startled by the sudden contact. She lazy turns around and looks up at me, and only the slight widening of her eyes tells me she surprised. 'This girl is seriously unflappable'. "Sorry to bug you,' I start as I pull a slightly damp cloth from behind my back 'but does this smell like chloroform to you?" I place the cloth right up against her nose, final startled she takes an involuntary breath taking in the fumes. I catch her before she can fall, I place her on my shoulder, I start making my way down stairs before I stop and look at the table of half-finished snacks. "What the heck" I grab all the sweets and the tea and bring them with me.
I place Miss. Goldenweek inside the cell below deck leaving her with the snacks from the table. I'm not really sure how long this will take so better safe than sorry. I lock up the candle cage, I'm 100% certain that's what he named it, before heading back up to begin my look for Mr.3. It should be relatively simple to find him, at some point he comes across Brogy and Dorry which sets into motion his plan to capture them, he also builds an entire building out of wax to house all his equipment and as a meeting point for Mr.5 and Miss. Valentine.
My newly discovered blind spot comes in handy for my search. Looking though an entire island for one tiny human is quick when you're guaranteed to see them even with X-ray vision on full blast. I don't know if they planned this or not but they had land on the far side of the island from Brogy and Dorry near the five grouped together volcanos. Which just so happens to be near where I've lived for the past few years. Luckily Mr.3 seems to have head in the opposite direction of my home, 'luck for me I mean, I didn't take the time to hide any of my stuff I can't imagine what he would do if he had stumble across all that'. I spot Mr.3s shoddily constructed wax cube house thing, he put it in a decent area a lot of trees to cover up the bright white of it but when it's the only thing I can't see through it stands out. I quickly spot Mr.3 and come to another realization; I can't see through his body. It reminds me of what happens if you use detective vision on clayface in the Batman games, he just seems to be one solid mass. 'That could be interesting, if it only affects those with Devil Fruits that changes their body in extreme ways I.E., turn them into wax than it pretty limited but useful, if its like this for all Devil Fruit users than I'll be able to tell who they are with just a glance'.
I quickly make my way over to my target, he seems frantic, looks like someone spotted the two main attractions. He's quickly making his way back towards his ship, most likely to update Miss. Goldenweek and grab the equipment for the new base. But I'm not going to let that happen, that ship runs on his power I've no doubt if I fought him there, he would have the advantage and at some point, Miss. Goldenweek will be released and then I'm in even more trouble. Without giving it further thought I launch myself at Mr.3 having less of an issue punching him in the face than I did Miss. Goldenweek. Weather through luck of skill he dodges my first attack, causing my fist to barely swipe against his right shoulder instead of his nose like I was aiming for.
"GAH, wha? Who…Who are you?" He stumbles over both his feet and his words. Instead of answering, I attack again moving even faster to cut him off before he can use his powers. "Candle Wall" he shouts before I reach him, my fist smashing against a wall of hardened wax. "Well, I suppose it doesn't matter who you are I'll deal with you now and carry on. Oh, I'm sure you're wondering about this wall, don't bother trying to break it, its harden than steel. You see I ate the Doru Doru No Mi (Wax Wax Fruit) and now I'm-"
"Shut up!" my second punch going through the wall forming a neat hole, I grab Mr.3 by his no doubt shocked face and slam him against his own creation.
"Candle Removal." The wall becomes soft before seeming to melt "Candle Lock" I feel something warm and wet coat my fist that should be holding on to Mr.3, before it solidifies. "Hmph, a brute like you wouldn't understand the beauty of my art." The wall falls away allowing me to see the now smug Mr.3 along with my right arm that is now incased in wax up to the elbow.
"I've never met someone who enjoyed the sound of their own voice so much they literally asked and answer questions about themselves." I test swing my fist a few times getting a feel for the new weight. Honestly it barely noticeable, it kinda feels like I'm wearing a boxing glove. I grin evil at Mr.3 and he catches on quick to my thoughts as I dart towards him fist pulled back for a devastating blow.
"Candle Wall" a new wall springs up and is quickly destroyed along with my new weapon, but I keep moving not allowing him a second to think. His surprised face morphs into one of agony as I deliver a punch hard enough to smash steel. I feel several of his ribs break and a huge heave of air and spit shots from his mouth. His eyes are bulging out and I'm surprise they're still attached to his glasses some how floating along with them. I spin and turn that forward momentum downwards slamming him into the jungle floor so hard I'm surprised it didn't crack. I stand up and look down at the barely conscious Baroque Works agent.
"Wow, I can't believe you're still awake after that," and I am Mr.3 wasn't seen as a very tough fighter, he was a scheming coward. "The reason you lost is because you weren't trying to win, you were waiting for me to lose, and I don't lose." I say as he finally falls unconscious. I wasn't lying either, even in the show the vast majority of his moves were either some form of protection or some way to stop whoever he's fighting from actually fighting. I tie Mr.3 up using the rope I took early, making sure to secure both his arms and legs, and picked they guy up. I make my way back to his ship hoping on board, setting him down while I prepared his new accommodations for the future. Now clearly, I can't put him with Miss. Goldenweek, he can just make a key and escape. So, I came up with a better idea, or more like stole an idea I read about. I tie a much longer rope around the section of rope I've had around his arms making sure it'll hold. I then fasten the other end to railing of the ship, I then procced to lower Mr. 3 down into the water below stopping once it reaches chest height and tying off the rest. Now it won't matter if he wakes up, the water will sap all his strength.
"Baadaabaadaabada baadaabaadaabada baadaabaadaabada." A noise, a very familiar noise for fans of One Piece comes from somewhere below deck. After making sure Mr.3 is nice and comfortable, I head towards the noise. I find the little Den Den Mushi inside of what could only be the captains quarters sitting on a wax desk. "Cacha"
"Mr.3 Speaking." I say in my best impersonation, which is absolute garbage.
"3, what took you so long? Have you arrived on the island yet?" A harsh gruff voice of a clear chain smoker questions.
"Mr.0 My apologies, yes we've arrived, I was just setting up for their arrival, making sure everything is in place, wouldn't want another whisky peak." I throw in to make sure he doesn't suspect me, though he fell for Sanjis crap impression so maybe I'm worried about nothing.
"Good, Mr.5 and Miss. Valentine will be meeting you there to make up for there earlier failure. You all know what'll happen if you fail again." He tapered off menacingly and honestly giving what this guy could do it was pretty threatening.
"Of course, sir, but worry not even with those two holding me back I've account for every possibility you have nothing to worry about. I'm on the north side of the island, if you wouldn't mind pass along my location when you next speak to them, I'll be awaiting their arrival." I nearly barf talking like this.
"I'll make sure they get the message." "Click"
"Well hopefully they'll be just as easy to take care of as these two were. Until then." I reach out and grab the Eternal Pos sitting on the desk Alabasta carved into the bottom of it, "looks like I've got my guaranteed ticket off this island."
Author's Note
Hello readers,
First off, I want to thank everyone for reading and follow/faving sorry about the delay new schedule at work I'm sure you know how it goes. I wanted to come on here and address a few comments that I didn't know I had (funny how I get a notification whenever some one follows or favorites my story but not one for comments) I wasn't ignoring you I honestly didn't notice people commenting.
Let's start with the technical stuff, a few have commented on the font and coloring that's being used, I use size 14 Arial Nova when I upload on fanfic it changes the font and the size, Now I can lower the size and change the font but if it continues that's really not me. As for the coloring I wasn't aware you could change the font color. Its black on white when I upload.
Now for the more fun stuff, story elements:
Night-Stryder: as you've probably guessed I based the character on Young Justice Superboy instead of comics version (didn't think a story about a guy absolutely recking everyone would be as interesting.) but I talk with my older brother about it and he though limiting the characters abilities so much wouldn't make much sense either. So, at the moment I'm kinda just cherry picking which abilities he gets. Though I'm not giving him the ability to fly that was my main reason for choosing that version of Superboy.
Shif125: you probably already know he started out three years before the Strawhats would make it to the island. As for plot, let me just say here and now I absolute can't stand stories that try to adhere to the plot, if I wanted to read OG One Piece then I would, and just because your character stood there and said "wow" during a fight doesn't make it different. So, expect a lot of differences though they'll start off small.
Guest: I hate to break it to you my dude but our planet is not made up of a bunch of island nations with several forms of royalty/ government controlling each. There is no giant red mountain that travels the globe into two halves and a crazy ass sea that splits it again. The One Piece planet is not Earth the humans that live there aren't the same as us, unless kicking the air hard enough really can let me fly. My character was not born on that planet and neither was his Idealize body so yeah, he's an alien. But I will give to you HiRoHiDuE that he is only using it as a gimmick to gain Luffys attention.
Sir Borris: Please remember this is a normal dude (I know its an si but a story with me in it would be boring so I just want that to mean he is aware he's in an anime world and has knowledge of said world) I don't know about you but I would hesitate to just start killing guys just because it would be easier. Don't get me wrong their will be character deaths in this story but not at the 'Training montage' stage of the story
