Prologue!

"Wow, Nero. It's already night, how long did we stay inside of that dungeon for? It doesn't feel that long, we went in around midday, right?"

A young man spoke up as he, and his bird companion walked out of an exploding cave behind them.

It was a young man, around the age of 16-17 years old. The young man has deep midnight black hair, that went down to the nape of his neck, with two white bangs that framed his face went down half way down his face, meeting the end of his ears, with some hair covering his fringe. His eyes are a dark blue colour, and he has fair skin, along with a soft facial features.

He wore a white short sleeved shirt that had an insignia of a bird flying across it, and wore black coloured pants that had a single belt wrapped around it, and at the buckle, what looked like something of a Devils face was stationed there. On his shoulders, a small robe like cape that was black in colour and had the design of a bull on it decorated his body. Attached to his right hip was a pouch for his Grimoire to fit easily in, finishing off his outfit.

His Grimoire was also unable to be properly seen due to how he had it in the holder.

The young man's name is Venta, his eyes went up to the bird resting stoically on top of his head.

"It seems that we were in there the entire day, it didn't feel like that. But there were a few people to fight, so maybe that passed the time quickly."

The bird spoke up, with Venta nodding slowly.

"And this jewel, too bad that it isn't magical. But it looks nice, maybe I'll sell it, or give it to someone."

Venta spoke, looking towards the bright red jewel that was apart of a necklace.

"Selling it would be good."

Venta slightly smiled.

"Well, the missions done now, so we don't have to worry about that." The young man stretched his arms above his head and yawned. "I've also been working on something for you, Nero. It might be able to relieve you of your curse."

"The curse is very difficult to break."

The bird explained, Venta nodded as he continued walking.

"Yes, I know Nero, but this might be able to undo it, even for a short time. I'll need sometime to work on it though. Even for a small time, wouldn't it be good if you got to be in human form?"

The bird remained stoic, but did eventually nod.

"It would be, though don't mess with forbidden magic. Trust me, you don't want to do that."

"Hehe, yes Master~"

Playfully speaking but also understanding the warning that she was giving, Venta tipped his head down, the bird tilted her head left and right.

"Now that we've done that mission, what are we doing now?"

"Aah, I'm not sure. I wonder what Captain Yami has for me to do next…? Maybe he'll be nice and let me have a small break or something."

"One can dream."

"One can...Hmmm, we should probably head back to the Black Bulls...but it is late at night, so maybe it wouldn't be best to go now...maybe it would be best to find a place for us to sleep, and head back tomorrow..."

Venta looked around as he came onto an open field.

His eyes looked in different locations, left, right, and couldn't see anything.

"There's a town around here somewhere..." Venta searched for some Mana with his Mana Sensing skills. "...I feel some coming in from the right, shouldn't take more than five minutes for us to get there if we hurry. Plus I sense some strong Mana's over there..." The young man stretched his arms above his head, and let out a small yawn. "But man I'm starving, lets hurry Nero. Say, want anything while we're there?"

"I'll think about it."

Venta smiled up towards the bird, and took off after grabbing his broom, flying off into the nights sky.

Inside of a town, it was a regular night. The sky was brimming with moonlight, and cast it down onto the town. However, despite it being such a good day, two people didn't seem to be having good days at all.

While the town was a decent size, for two people who were members of royalty, it seemed that they weren't thrilled to be in a town that they considered 'beneath' them.

"I can't believe we have to be in a peasant town like this. I don't even get it, we're beyond these scummy people, so why do we have to be here?"

A young man spat out, with the girl with him let out a hollow laugh.

"It's because we're watching over Mimosa, Kirsch asked us a favour. Plus big brother also wanted us to come out here for some things for him as well."

"Yeah but it's boring. Mingling with low lives such as these, I can't take it."

"I'm sure big brother hates us sometimes, just as much as Noelle."

Nebra said it as if it was some joke.

"Not possible! At least we have something about us, unlike that stupid useless Noelle!"

The two that had appeared with Magic Knights.

The boy is called Solid and the girl is called Nebra, both from the House of Silva.

The girl, Nebra, looked around, catching the sight of a Black Bull Squad member, Venta, and turned up her nose.

"The failure squad is here."

Solid smirked at the sight of the young man.

"Yeah, should we go and beat him in a fight? As nobles, we'd be able to easily take him out." Solid turned his face towards the Black Bull member, and smirked "Hey loser, do you want to have a chance to fight a noble like me? I know it is a huge honour, I promise to go easy on you, okay?"

The young man glanced in their direction, and rolled his eyes, before walking off away from them, the bird on top of his head glanced in their direction also, and shook her head, before looking directly in front of them.

"Come on Nero, lets go and get what we need. Want some chocolate cake? I'm starving myself, there's a nice bakery around here for us to get some...I'm sure Charmy-chan would love some of the cake as well..."

Solid heard the young man say, completely ignoring Solid's attempts to goad him into a fight.

Scowling even more, he raised his hand and gathered water, shooting it out in a stream.

"Do not turn your back on royalty like me peasant!"

Solid screeched at him, but Venta didn't pay any heed whatsoever.

However, what surprised him was when the young man raised his hand and blocked the attack with his magic, and continued walking away as if nothing had happened.

"H-He blocked my attack..."

Solid was shocked.

It rarely happened to him since he was a noble, but seeing someone from the Black Bulls no less block his attack, and it didn't look like it had much effort either, while Nebra scowled.

"Clearly, it was just him being able to..." Nebra tried to think of a reason, but ultimately laughed it off. "It was merely just a trick of the Black Bulls, next time we'd be able to take him down without any problems. Lets just go, we can humiliate him some other time."

Solid slowly nodded, but felt angered that his attack was stopped so easily.

"Hmph, stupid peasant. Lucky I didn't go all out, next time I wont hold back."

Nebra let out a small giggle as she and her brother continued on their duties.

As they did their duties however, the pair failed to realize they suddenly were being attacked.

Solid looked up first, seeing two men staring down at them with fire leaking off of their hands.

More than them, it seemed that others were also invading the town.

Nebra gasped, while Solid scowled.

"Damn filth! Try this!" Solid summoned his Grimoire to his side, and caused it to float as he brought out his water magic. "Water Creation Magic, Holy Water Assassination Bullet!"

Forming a dense bullet of water in the air, he shot it off towards the man, but the men stopped the attack as they created a wall of fire before him, blocking the attack as two fire mage's appear from behind a building and combined their magic's together, shooting it off in a strong burst towards Solid.

The two mages attack was strong, and Solid created a shield of water. But the water evaporated and the flames continued on, slamming into his body, burning him as he smashed into the side of a building.

"Solid!"

Nebra cried, and then turned her eyes to the man.

Extending her hand, she created mist, and tried to have it bind the man.

But like with Solid, the men stopped her attack, and blasted their magic back towards Nebra, who raised a shield, blocking the attacks but like her brothers before her, the mist shield wasn't enough and she was sent down to the ground in a burst of fire burning her flesh.

"Nobles such as yourself, would have rich Mana. I wouldn't mind taking that for myself."

"Yeah, give us your Mana..."

The men eyed up Nebra who glared at them.

"Get lost you disgusting filth! We're superior!"

Solid snapped, but the man seemed amused.

"From where I'm standing, you really aren't."

Solid growled, and thrusted his hand up, shooting off a strong blast of water.

The two fire mages together, creating flaming shields, the attack of water didn't penetrate and then a flaming sphere came out, slamming hard into Solids body enough for him to cough up bile.

Nebra watched as the man pulled closer.

She saw around the village, the place was being ransacked, and it worried her.

The fire mages turned their fire towards her.

"We'll just finish you off right here and now then!"

"Yeah, lets finish her!"

Nebra stood her ground, and readied her mist magic.

But as the fires came for her, she knew her mist wasn't going to hold…

Suddenly, a shield of weird energy appeared before her.

The flames of the mages hit the weird shield, which repelled their attacks back at them, hitting them so hard they were brought off their feet.

"What is this magic?!"

"Our attacks bounced back! How is that possible?!"

The men yelled, looking around for the culprit.

But as they did, rocks floated up all around them, as a voice called "Gravity Magic, Rocky Cyclone." and then, increasing the weight of the rocks, and forming them into sharper ones by manipulating their shape via gravity, the rocks flew all around the fire mages, cutting into their bodies deeply, and then came together, slamming them hard in their torsos, knocking them out.

Nebra looked for the figure that came floating down towards them casually.

As she gazed up at him...

She was suddenly captivated by his face, the gentle yet strong look that appeared there.

His eyes went towards her, and he offered his hand.

"Are you alright?"

Nebra looked at the hand, and the boy attached to it.

Her face curled upwards…

But then downwards.

"Wait, that robe...he's from the Black Bulls! The same one that we just met! But...he has really dreamy eyes...wait, what am I saying?! He's a commoner! But he is kinda cute too...no, he's not cute! He can't be cute...but those eyes...and that face as well, damn he is pretty cute for a commoner, and he jumped into save me..." She looked at his hand and scoffed. "I do not need a commoner to save my life, thank you very much."

She dismissed him with an air of arrogance in her tone, Venta shook his head.

"Alright then. But I'd like to ask you to go and escort the villagers to a safe place. This place is being ravaged by these Rogue mages."

Nebra thought it was a joke that Venta was ordering her to do anything, as a royal she wasn't used to it at all, and tried to voice her thoughts.

"A commoner, ordering me-"

"This commoner, as you call me, is also a Magic Knight! As a fellow Magic Knight, whatever squad we're apart of, our top priority is to protect innocent people of the Clover Kingdom from people such as these, so I'll fight these guys, get the innocents and your brother, to safety, okay?"

Nebra blinked in surprise.

She wasn't used to people speaking like that to her.

But in a way...it made her think about certain things, things that she hadn't thought about before.

"...Alright."

"Thank you."

Venta smiled at her, Nebra looked on with curious eyes.

Nebra took her brother, and began leading the others away from the area.

Venta turned back to the mages before him. He saw a water mage joining the man, along with an ice mage. The water mage shot off water binding magic towards him, as the ice mage ran his ice across the ground to freeze his feet.

Seeing the two attacks coming for him, he activated his Gravity Magic, disappearing in a strong movement, decreasing his weight to increase his speed.

Seconds later, he appeared above the water mage, aiming his hand down and released a burst of strong gravity, which slammed into the water mage, as the ice mage looked up, gasping and then turned the ice towards him.

"Ice spikes!"

With the ice already formed, they shot into the air for him.

Whipping out his hand, Venta calls out "Gravity Sword." and from his hand, a sword of energy appeared which gave off a purple like colour, which he swung forward several times, cutting through the ice again and again, and shot down at high speeds.

The ice mage scowls.

"Screw you!"

The ice mage causes the ice to form a dome around him.

But Venta swings out his blade all around him, cleaving through the ice, and then turned his hand towards the ice mage, firing off a strong burst of gravity that slammed hard into the man's body, and sent him flying away.

Nebra, from a distance, watches as Venta cuts the enemies down, finishing him off in a single attack.

Her eyes light up at the sight, as he returned to the ground, and looked at the village itself.

"Nero, it seems that the enemies are still here. And there's still people in the town, fires have also been started. Wish I had Water Magic right now."

"Yes, finish it off quickly then we'll put out the fires."

"Quickly, I can do."

Finishing their private conversation, the earth dance all around him as he decreased the gravity in his local area, before he fires himself off into the air, Nebra's eyes had trouble following him.

However, due to the fact that he ended up saving her...things began to play in her mind, things that she hadn't even thought about before, things that she wasn't sure she was even allowed to think about.

In another part of the small town, a young girl with bright coloured hair began running away as a man with Earth Magic came after her. She saw one mage coming for her, she let out a cry and plants came shooting out, blocking the mages path.

Then she turned around and began running, going through a small alleyway to get away from the mage.

But coming out on the other side, she came face to face with a green haired individual. His eyes danced between her, and the area behind her. Seeing the flowery plants that sparkled in the moonlight, he licked his lips.

"Hey there girl, want to come with me?"

She could feel the very unpleasant look on his face, and in his eyes as well.

It wasn't something that she wanted to be involved with, so she tried to move back through the alleyway, when she saw that a huge plant blocked her path. It wasn't her plants either, so when she turned back towards the green haired man, she saw that he had a Grimoire floating around to the left hand side of him.

"You have...no, I don't want to go with you."

The young girl turned around and began running away.

Using Plant Magic, plants came shooting all around him, and made their way to her. The fern like plants blocked her right and left side, and were beginning to go behind her as well, cutting off the opportunity to escape.

"Hey, I saw that you had a similar magic to me."

"S-So what?"

She asked with a timid nature.

She wasn't someone that could fight so seeing no one around to assist her, she wasn't sure what to do.

"Why don't you come with me? Say, you're also pretty cute, I wouldn't mind having a cute girl around."

The girl made a disgusted face.

"No thank you."

The man, named Shidan, had his face turn sour.

"Listen to me brat, if you don't come with me then you'll be sacrificed, is that what you want?"

"S-Stay away from me!"

The girl defiantly turned and began running away.

Fighting her way through the fern, she received a small cut on her arm. But she was determined to get away as much as she could do, and fought all the way through them, coming out on the other side, and began running as fast as she could.

However, she didn't manage to get very far.

Before her, a huge fern like plant burst up from the ground, stopping her.

"Who said that you could run away from me?"

The girl turned back, looking on with a mixture of worry and anger on her face.

The man's disgusting eyes went through her, as he moved closer and closer.

Showing a smirk on his face, he sent his plants after her to bind her.

She let out a cry and tried to run, but she tripped on her own feet, landing with a wince.

She looked to see the plants coming closer and closer, she thought that this was it.

That she wouldn't be able to get away from him…

But suddenly a burst of sharp rocks rains down, cutting off the vines all together, surprising her immensely.

"What the hell?!"

The girl looked at him, her face turned to the side.

When she saw his robes of the Black Bulls, unlike that of Nebra and Solid who thought that it was a joke, she was very grateful.

"Attacking an innocent girl like this, I'll have to stop you."

Shidan gasps, looking on with worry.

"Hm, stopping me when you're from the famous loser squad!"

Shidan yelled as his vines shot out.

Venta tightened his hands, gathering his magic.

"Gravity Creation Magic! Crushing Fist!"

From around him, a giant hand made up of gravity energy came out, and swept in front of him. Catching the vines faster than the man could see, Venta closed his hand and the vines in turn were squashed to the point that they had been destroyed all together thanks to the excessive force of the gravity.

"Is that it?! I wont die to you!"

Shidan panics, and caused his plants to come all around the young man.

His eyes glanced at them, before he vanished.

As soon as he did, Shidan was shocked, and wasn't sure what was going on.

But then he widened his eyes when Venta appeared before him.

"Vanish."

From his hand, a gravity pulse shot out, and encompassed the enemy, blasting them away at high speeds.

As soon as he was gone, the girl watched as Venta approached her.

Rather than have an air of superiority as she had seen many Magic Knights have, what she saw was a genuine look of concern.

"Hey, it's safe now, that guys gone."

The girl couldn't speak.

She just stared at him as he bent down towards her.

"Are you okay? He didn't hurt you, did he?"

The girl shook her head.

"No...thanks to you, I'm...okay."

She wasn't able to speak properly, because of the ordeal of the town being attacked, it was shocking for her.

"That's good to hear." As he spoke, his eyes noticed there was a cut on her arm. "He cut you?"

"When I was...running away, I think I got cut on one of his Plant Magic spells."

"Well, I'm not so great at healing magic, but I could give it a go for you?"

The young girl gave a kind smile, and accepted it.

While she was pretty good at using healing magic, she simply watched as he placed his hand to her arm, and activated his power. The purple energy washed over her form, and she felt the instant relief from his magic washing over her.

When he was done, she looked at it, and gently smiled.

"It's gone, thank you..."

"Hehe, tried my best~ Small wounds aren't such a big deal, good thing you didn't have anything large~" The girl couldn't help but showcase a small smile on her lips as well as some shyness as he looked over her. "We should be getting out of here though. Can you walk?" The girl simply nodded. "Then it's best if we get you away." The girl saw his extended his hand, so she took it and pulled herself to her feet. "Lets go."

The girl watched as they began running together.

As they did, she saw him using his magic to take down some mages that were trying to attack.

But all she could think about was how he saved her...and she didn't even know his name, and by the time that she had thought to ask about it, she saw him dive head first back into the town to make sure the mages were stopped.

She thought that it was rather admirable for him to do something like that, with no back up beyond a small bird on the top of his head.

A short time later, Shidan laid beaten, defeated by Venta's attack.

As he did, a young woman came strolling by.

"Wow, the famous Gravity Magic of the Black Bulls has been able to defeat seven fairly strong mages huh...what I wouldn't give to experiment on such a rare form of Magic..."

Shidan's eyes go towards the girl, who tilts her head curiously towards him.

"W-Wait, why are you here…?"

"Oh, I just wish to borrow you, for an experiment of mine. It's fine, right?"

The woman's eyes looked crazed, yet cute at the same time.

Her expression was that of a smiling woman that was about to do something that she truly enjoyed.

That alone was enough to worry Shidan.

But because it was directed at her…

It was all the more terrifying.

"N-No! Don't!"

The woman bent down towards him, patting his face several times.

"Don't worry, you'll be fine~"

Her cheery voice wasn't something he found comfort in.

The woman then placed a hand on his face, and grinned.

Shidan began to sweat, his eyes glazed over with worry.

What this woman had planned…

He didn't know, and with the look in her eyes, he didn't even want to know either…

A few days after that, Nebra Silva was currently sat within her dining room, eating a meal fit for a noble, as she looked through the profile of Venta. For some reason, she couldn't get him out of her mind.

Usually, she wouldn't even bother giving a second thought to a commoner…

But something about Venta, something about the way he acted, and how he fought…

It caused her to develop something of an interest.

"Geez...this is vague, I can't really get any details on this..." She sighed, placing the paper down on the table. "At least the pictures cute though...no, he's a commoner...maybe I could...what am I thinking? I'm not going to look at this commoner anymore."

Dismissing the thoughts, she continued eating alone, as her brother Solid came in.

When he saw the paper, and saw the boys image, his face turned darker.

"Why are you looking up his picture? You're not becoming like Noelle, are you?"

"That's very insulting, don't compare me to Noelle." Nebra said with a defiant stare. "I was just seeing who he was, that's all. It doesn't matter."

Solid shook his head, and walked away.

Nebra's eyes went towards the paper once more, before adopting a light smile on her face, and taking the picture once more in her hands, staring at it curiously.

"Even as a commoner, he could become my guard...I don't even like him."

Denying it, she placed the paper back down.

But her eyes lingered on it, deep within her own mind she thought about what could be...

A week later, Venta was back in the Black Bulls base, and was currently catching up on a few duties of his. Though that was stopped when a young woman came towards him, took his hand and pulled him towards the couch.

"Aaah...Aaaah….I need a pillow...let me...sleep here..."

A young woman crept over towards the couches and looked for her target.

A bottle of her favourite alcohol in hand, the pink haired scantily clad woman wearing only her thin red frilly lingerie type clothing and had a cape draped usually both shoulders, but right now was mostly on her left side.

She, in a drunk state of mind, laid her head down on a certain young man's thighs.

"Aah, this is the best place..."

"Geez, now I can't get up..."

Venta, looking down at the young woman, watched as she gained a peaceful smile as she rubbed her head up and down his thighs.

"It's fine...make it up to you...promise..."

Venta didn't really believe her, but he couldn't really refute her since he didn't have anything pressing to do at that moment.

Shaking his head, he went back into deep thought, as a small bird perched on top of his head pointed towards a book, so he took it and opened it for the bird to read said book while making it look like he was the one reading it.

As he was thinking, he caught the sight of a man with a very pale face, looking in his direction, and mumbling something.

"What's Gordon-san up to….I can't ever tell with him..."

He thought to himself as the young woman sleeping on his lap, Vanessa, groaned.

"This pillow feels good..."

As she spoke, a small girl sat at a table turned towards him, and offered a tray of food.

"I'm alright, thanks Charmy-chan." The young girl, Charmy, giggled to herself, and continued eating. "Say Charmy-chan, where's Luck and...the others? It's pretty quiet around here."

"La, I don't know, I was going to offer them food too~"

"Hehe, maybe when they get back, yeah~?"

The small girl nodded, so Venta smiled and continued thinking.

The bird, Nero, pecked his head, so his eyes shifted upwards, and saw that she was moving her wing as if she wished to flip the page, so he did it for her, turning the page while he thought about something.

"Hey, some mails come for you. Looks official."

A young man with light brown hair came walking in, the young man's name being Finral.

"Oh no...not another one..."

Venta sighed, as he took the letter, Finral noticing the look on his face turning down.

"What's wrong with you?"

"I know who it's from, and it's...ugh, it's something I'd rather not deal with."

"Why's that?"

"A girl keeps writing me letters."

Finral's eyes light up.

"Aah man! Is she cute?"

"She's...something alright."

"Come on, give me details! Tall, small? Long hair? Short hair? Details!"

Seeing the excitement on his face, Venta gave a more relaxed expression.

"She's...in her twenties I think, she's got silver hair, wavy...she's a royal...she has Mist Magic..."

"Really? You've snagged the eyes of a royal? Who is...wait, silver hair, royal...and in her twenties? With Mist Magic as well...You're not talking about Nebra Silva, are you?"

"Yeah, that's her. We met about...a week ago now, and ever since then, she's been sending me letters. Reading them, they look to be as if she's just insulting me, but then at the end there's invitations to different places. I usually politely decline."

"Wow...it seems you've got it rough dude~" Finral lightly laughed. "Well if you'll excuse me, I've got some stuff to do, girls to see...say, you should come with me to a mixer sometime, I could use a wingman~"

"I'll keep it in mind. Thanks Finral-san."

Finral laughed as he walked away, leaving Venta alone, who quietly read the letter to himself.

Seeing how...odd it was, he simply placed it in his pocket.

But then he stretched his arms.

"I'm gonna go and get some chocolate cake..." Charmy looked towards him, and pointed at herself. "I'll get you one too~"

"Yay!"

As Charmy said it, the young woman stirred on his lap.

"What's going on…? Time for drinking…?"

Venta looked down at the young girl, before shaking his head side to side.

"No, sorry. But I do need to go. See you later Vanessa-san."

He took Vanessa's head, and laid it on a pillow, and began walking towards the exit.

As he went to exit the door, a booming "Stop!" came ringing in his ears.

He paused, as the voice said "Take five steps back." which he again did.

Then the voice said "Turn." so he did, and he came face to face with a muscular man who held a katana in one hand, his striking black hair caught the attention of the young Venta who stared up at him in wonder.

"Captain Yami, is there something I can do for you?"

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to a bakery to get some chocolate cake, want some?"

Yami shook his head.

"No can do, I've got something for you to do."

"But Captain, I'm nearly all out of money until next month, and you owe me for two months now. Captain Jack owes me for three, so when you see him, could you ask him about that?"

Yami furrowed his brows, before lightly smacking Venta's head, though despite the hit, Venta just smiled cheerily towards him.

"Not that, but you know I'm good for it. I'll repay you, so will he." Referring to the money, Venta slowly nods, unconvinced, as Yami shows a wicked smile. "...So do the favour for me. I have faith in you... I can't go right now, I..." Yami's eyes shifted towards the door, clutching at his stomach. "...I have something to attend to, and I can't last much longer...she asked for you...God hurry and answer..."

Venta looked at his stomach, then towards Yami, believing exactly what he was feeling and why he couldn't go.

"Captain, what is it you wish for me to do?"

"Yeah, I lost a game of cards with a fellow Captain, so I had to give you to her..."

"You gave me to someone?!"

Yami chuckled strongly.

"Only for the day, relax it wasn't like a life time commitment. But yeah, you need to go to the sleeping Captain herself, she should be at the Coral Peacocks base. You know where it is, go and do as she asks for the day."

"How do you lose a game of cards to someone that's mostly asleep?"

Yami sharpened his gaze.

"Because she's crafty. Now run along..."

"Well, you could send Vanessa-san..."

"She's currently drunk."

Venta chuckled awkwardly.

"What about Finral-san?"

"Are you joking? Good thing it isn't the Blue Rose Squad, they'd end his life. So no, I wont send him."

"Gordon-san?"

"He frightens even me sometimes, so imagine him frightening her squad."

Venta's eyes briefly drag over to Gordon who creepily waves towards him, Venta slowly nods.

"What about Charmy-chan?"

"She's busy eating."

"What about Grey-chan?"

"Grey would be too frightened to do it."

"Luck?"

"You know more than anyone how Luck can be so that's not a good idea."

Venta sweat dropped, knowing if he did say some others, they'd probably be rejected anyway so he didn't bother trying to speak about them.

"Alright okay, I'll go."

Yami places his hands together.

"You're a life saver."

Venta shakes his head.

"No need to try and butter me up now, I've already agreed to do it."

"Yeah, you're right. Still, I trust you to accomplish this." Yami waved his hand as Venta went towards the door. "There, have fun. She asked for you personally, so enjoy."

Venta watched as Yami clutched his stomach and then practically ran for the stairs.

He chortled "Have fun in the bathroom Captain~" and then skipped off with Nero perched on top of his head.

Going towards the Coral Peacock Squad, he saw several large buildings around, each filled with many people. People passing him by on the street looked at the Black Bulls robes he wore, though Venta didn't seem to care all that much by those looking towards him due to the squad he was, he was very proud to be in the squad.

As he did walk however, he paused, and looked back.

"What?"

Nero wondered quietly to not draw attention to them, Venta furrowed his brows.

"I just got a small Mana spike..."

"Something to check out?"

"Perhaps...I'll keep my senses sharp. For now, lets just go cautiously."

"Good idea. I'll keep my eyes out."

"Aah, thanks Nero~"

Continuing on, he went through a few streets, moving quickly, but he then saw a young girl a little younger than him walking the opposite way as him. She has yellow eyes, and long hair with bangs across her forehead, and earrings that looked to be in the shape of stars.

Her outfit consisted of something a noblewoman would wear, but she herself wasn't giving off noblewoman vibes, not to the extent that he had seen several people from noble families give off beforehand.

She came running, it seemed that she was lost in her own thoughts, and she looked rather annoyed with something.

So by the time she came towards him, he stepped aside as she nearly crashed into him.

"Oh..." She paused, and looked towards him. "I'm sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going. I just had...eh, something that I'd rather not be doing."

"No harm, see you later."

His eyes went towards her briefly, the earrings as well, as she did the same thing by looking back, and she offered a smile, which he returned.

His eyes lingered on her for a few moments, before turning his head and continued on his path.

As he walked by each other, Venta paused when he saw the girl looking towards him questioning.

So he stopped, and looked towards her.

"Do I have something on my face?"

The girl widened her eyes, shaking her hands several times.

"No, not at all! I'm sorry, that was rude...it's just...no, it doesn't matter. I'm sorry."

"It's fine, no harm done."

The girl looked over the young man's appearance, before she moved closer.

"I'm sorry, I'm being really rude today. First crashing nearly into you, and now this... My names Mimosa Vermilion, and you're...with the Black Bulls?"

When she said her name, he paused ever so slightly.

It was only for a few moments, but those moments Mimosa caught herself speaking slowly, and Venta did the same thing as well.

"Yeah, that's right...and you're not with a squad yet, right?"

"Not yet, but I'll be participating in the exams when its next on."

"Aah, I see. With what I can sense from you, it seems you'll probably get accepted to a few Magic Knights Squad. So, have you thought about which one you'd want to go for if you get the choice?"

"Hmmm...I do have a few in mind, but I haven't made up my mind just yet. By the way, can I ask, what your name is?"

She asked kindly, Venta blinked for a few moments, before shrugging.

"Oh, how rude of me this time~ My names Venta. My friends call me Ven."

"Venta-san...it's a really nice name."

"Eh...I guess, it's just a name after all." He revealed as he pulled back. "Well, see you later Mimosa-san, perhaps I'll see you at the Magic Knights Exam. Though being from the House of Vermilion, I'm sure you'd already be able to be accepted into the Crimson Lions."

"Yes...I could do, but I'd rather not rely on my family and get into a squad my own way."

Venta thought that was rather refreshing since he knew most nobles wouldn't ever speak like that.

"Well, I'm sure you'll be able to do it. Regardless of what squad you choose, I'll see you there~ Say, you could join the Black Bulls, don't listen to rumours, our Captains a pretty chill guy, just don't disturb him when he's on the toilet~"

Venta waves, and begins walking away.

As he did, Mimosa looks on, seeing the direction he was going on, and then looked down at herself.

"Maybe I should...it is him, so I do wish...okay, it wouldn't be so bad if I went over..."

Mimosa mulled it over out loud.

But before she knew it, he was a good distance away, so she began moving quickly in the same direction.

Arriving at the Coral Peacocks base, he casually walked into the base, and came face to face with the Vice Captain, who was flamboyantly moving his arms around, but when he saw Venta, he pointed a hand at him.

"What are you doing here?"

"My Captain lost to your Captain, somehow, in a game of cards and I was sent here for the day. So that's it really."

"Nonsense! We don't need you, leave!"

Venta rolled his eyes as Mimosa came into the base as well.

Her eyes went between the two, seeing that the Vice Captain didn't look happy, while Venta looked on curiously.

"Can't do, sorry. Orders straight from my Captain, now if you'll excuse me, I have to go and find your Captain."

The man pointed to the exit.

"Commoner! Leave!"

"Vice Captain, quiet."

The Vice Captain, a man named Kirsch scowled as Mimosa's face curled upwards, trying to not have her face break into a smile.

"Don't tell me to be quiet!"

"Yelling at me to leave isn't going to accomplish anything, I came here because my Captain asked me to, so I have to be here. I'd be disobeying a direct order...even if he did basically sell me in a game of damn cards..." He murmured at the end, before exhaling and continuing with a semi peppy smile. "So that's how it is Kirsch-san. If your Captain asks me to go, then I will do. Until then, lets get along~"

Mimosa could see Kirsch looking rather annoyed.

But then he stopped when he saw Mimosa.

"Ah, my darling sister, you've returned. Did you take my beauty tips to heart?"

Venta's eyes go back towards Mimosa, and saw her looking annoyed with her apparent brother.

"No."

Venta blinked at the tone change of Mimosa.

Before she was sweet and bubbly.

But with Kirsch, it seemed she wasn't taking any of his crap, something that he found to be rather entertaining.

"Well, it would be good if you did." Vainly speaking, his eyes went towards Venta, who had already gone inside of the base. "Hey! Commoner! You can't just...ugh! Captain! Tell him to leave at once! He's threatening my beauty!"

Mimosa gave her brother a strange look, she didn't quite understand what that meant at all.

But she was curious as to see what would happen next, so she went towards the base together with her angered brother.

Going inside, Mimosa saw a strange sight before her.

A special looking bed had been prepared, and Venta was laying on it, with the Captain of the Coral Peacocks laid next to him, her head resting on his shoulder, while Kirsch repeatedly yelled at him to leave, though Venta paid no attention and saw Mimosa.

"Hey there Mimosa-san, thinking of joining this squad?"

Mimosa giggled awkwardly as she moved closer.

"No, I was...eh, no it doesn't matter~ But...erm, can I ask...what is it that you're doing?"

"My Captain sold me for the day, basically. Captain Dorothy-san pointed to the bed and then to me, so I got on it, and she got on it, laying her head on my shoulder...yeah...had to do as she asked, and that's where we are now~"

"Did you say your Captain sold you?"

Mimosa was in disbelief, Venta laughed as if it had happened a few times before.

"That's my Captain for you, very good guy, respect the hell out of him, but he's a bit of an oddball, and sticks me with...very interesting jobs the others wont do, or can't do for...whatever reason the Captain thinks of~"

"Eh...oh, okay...it's a bit odd indeed."

"That's Captain Yami for you~"

Kirsch bewilderingly gazed at Venta who looked back towards him.

"How do you know my sister fiend?!"

"Because we met on the streets."

"Met on the streets? And you speak so casually to someone with a higher status than you?"

Mimosa rolled her eyes as she walked closer.

"Could you give it a rest big brother?"

Venta almost laughed when he saw Mimosa scold her elder brother.

"Eh…? What's wrong Mimosa?"

"Stop trying to antagonize people."

"But, he's a commoner Mimosa! Don't talk to him!"

"I'll talk to whoever I wish to speak with."

Kirsch laughed, waving his right hand towards his little sister while keeping a hard glare upon the young man.

"Mimosa! You're so funny! Don't worry, I'll fight him for you~"

"If you fought, I'd cheer for him to beat you and I don't even know him."

Venta thought Mimosa was rather funny, and quite liked her attitude to her elder brother.

"Damn, behind her smiles, Mimosa-sans a bad ass."

Venta thought with a smile, as Dorothy rubbed her cheek against his shoulder in her sleep.

"Mimosa, your jokes weren't ever funny. So why don't you come and join this squad with me?"

"No, I already said before that I'll make my own mind up about what squad I'll join."

"But if you joined this squad, you'd get the joy of viewing my beautiful form all day everyday!"

""That sounds like a nightmare.""

Both Venta and Mimosa say at the same time, catching the other off guard.

Kirsch blinks several times, and points his hand towards Venta.

"You! Commoner! Lets fight-"

Before he could finish, Dorothy lifts her hand, in her sleep, and points towards the exit.

Kirsch began nodding.

"See commoner? She wishes for you to..." Dorothy wags her finger, and then points at Kirsch. "C-Captain, you want me to leave?" He squeaked it out. Nodding in her sleep, Dorothy returned her head fully to Venta's shoulder. "But Captain, this commoner is-"

Dorothy shook her head, and points towards the exit once more.

Kirsch looks devastated, and runs out of the room, while Mimosa blinks at the sight.

Venta looks down at Dorothy who peacefully sleeps on his shoulder, not uttering even a single word.

But her presence definitely was felt.

After finishing his duties for the day, basically being a human pillow, Venta left the Coral Peacocks with a shining evaluation...at least he thought he did as Dorothy simply gave him a thumbs up and then he left as she simply waved and pointed to the front door.

Going onto the streets, he saw Mimosa was beginning to follow him once more, so he turned around and looked towards her.

"Is something wrong?"

"Huh? Oh, no, nothing at all. But, you...erm, do you remember what happened last week?"

"Yes, you're the girl back in that town. Far away from the capital."

Mimosa clapped her hands together.

"So you do remember me. How come you didn't say anything?"

"Oh...erm, no reason really. I didn't know if you wanted to bring it up or not."

Mimosa walked closer, until she was face to face with him.

"Actually...I did want to thank you for protecting me. And that town as well."

"It isn't necessary, I just did what I thought was the best thing to do that's all. But I do wonder how come you were out there? It isn't what I'd expect a Vermilion family member to be in. Though you don't have to tell me if you don't want, I was just curious."

"I was actually on a small vacation, I was looking at the healing methods of those in the town, and the various types of magic that they had. I was interested, what about you? If you don't mind me asking."

"It's fair, I asked you about yours as well. I actually just finished a little mission from my Captain nearby, a new dungeon appeared, and my Captain...lets say he volunteered me to do so. I was dispatched, took down some mages, and found a cool jewel. Doesn't really have any magical uses, but it might be worth something, gonna save it for a rainy day~"

"It seems your Captain does that a lot?"

Venta laughs, scratching the back of his head.

"Yeah, you could say that~ Though I don't really mind, good practice and all."

"Practice?"

As she asked, Venta paused briefly, and looked beyond her.

Furrowing his brows, he stayed like that for over twenty seconds, something Mimosa noticed.

But when she went to speak, he did instead, focusing his eyes back on her.

"Yeah, training, getting stronger. It's the way I live my life, I'd rather work hard today and be ready for tomorrow, then wing it and hope for the best."

Mimosa blinked.

She hadn't ever heard anything like that before.

Nobles she came across never did anything like train, and she could only think of few exceptions.

"Say...erm, can I ask you a question?"

"Go for it. But first, how about we get some ice cream?"

"Ice cream?"

"Yeah, want some? They do really amazing ice cream around here with like, three flavours blended together. My treat."

Mimosa giggled, and nodded, so the pair went walking off together.

As they did, a green haired man who's eyes looked rather vacant stood off at a distance, staring at the pair walking together.

Getting the ice cream, and then walking out of the way of major city areas, he sat down on a half broken wall, with Mimosa sitting beside him. Her eyes went towards the bird that was perched on the top of his head, who looked back down towards her.

"That's a nice, Anti Bird that you have Venta-san."

"Her names Nero, a friend of mine named her that."

"Nero...I see, that's a name nice. I like it."

"So, you said you wished to ask me something?"

Mimosa blinked.

But then nodded.

"Yes, that's right, I actually was wondering, during the night of the town fight, you were able to use Mana very well. I was wondering, more about that. The mages that night, were strong, yet you managed to defeat them."

"It's really about deducing the best way to defeat your opponent, seeing how they fight, study their movements, and what they're planning to do next. If you can do that, then you can begin making moves against your opponents. And it also depends on the mage as well, if they're stronger than you or weaker than you. Though even weaker mages, depending who they are and if they're smart enough, can turn your attacks onto you, and can be dangerous. Lots of things to consider when you're in a battle."

"Wow...it seems you know a lot about fighting. I wish I knew how to fight so well."

"It's something that's teachable, I learned it from my Captain, and various people. Though there's definitely plenty of stronger guys than me out there, my Captains a monster~ Then there's the Wizard King...aah, I'd love to go against him one day and his Time Magic, it sounds so wonderful~"

Mimosa tilted her head.

She hadn't really heard people speak about fighting like that before.

It wasn't as if he seemed obsessed, but liked the idea of seeing new and different types of magic which she could appreciate..

"Really? Then I could..."

"You could..."

Venta began, only to be cut off by Mimosa.

"I'm...you see, attacking isn't a strong point of mine..."

"The skies the limit, as they say. And with the amount of Mana I can sense from you, I think you'd be able to accomplish many things. If it is fighting, then there's plenty of ways that you could learn. I could give you some pointers in reading the opponents moves and other things if you're interested."

"Really? You would?"

Venta began nodding…

When he saw a certain someone make a move, so he took Mimosa's hand while saying "Sorry about this." and shot away a few feet, as the area they sat on suddenly was pierced by Plant Magic, breaking the wall, and then came after the pair of them.

However, Venta held out his hand, summoning a sword of gravity which he used to slice through the opposing plants that came for him. Cutting them up, the large plants fell down to the ground, motionless as Mimosa looked towards Venta's face.

"Those plants...they're like..."

"Yeah, that guy back in that town. Seems like he's finally come back, and this time he's got a bit of a boost in power." Venta's eyes go towards the right, seeing Shidan come towards them once more. "And there he is."

Mimosa looks on, seeing the man's eyes.

She could feel something wasn't right at all.

"What's wrong with him? He doesn't seem to be...all that aware? Is that a good way to say it?"

"He's been given a significant boost to his magic, it probably was a lot to handle for his mind. Or perhaps it is something else. Either way, step back Mimosa-san, it might get a little dangerous if this guys power is a good deal stronger than before."

Understanding the situation, Mimosa pulled back as the plants before him all turned sharper, like stakes, and came down towards him at such speeds Mimosa wasn't sure if he'd be able to dodge out of the way of all of them.

"You'll...die right now!"

The man named Shidan yelled at Venta, who raised an eyebrow.

"Not yet."

To her astonishment, he did began dodging out of the way, all the while cleaving through the plants with his magic sword, when some came in from the right. Trying to bind him, he quickly dodges, and then swings his sword, which released a thin wave of gravity at the same time, attacking from a distance, and cutting through it, turning the cut off parts so heavy that they slammed into the ground, and broke some plants that were coming in from below him, something Mimosa marveled at, believing that he was rather sharp witted to do that.

The plants didn't give up, and ended up going from behind him, sharp projectile like attacks that even Venta was surprised at.

"He wasn't this good before, it seems that he's had more of a power trip than I thought."

While vanishing in a burst of speed, dodging the attack, he saw they continued on for Mimosa.

Not wanting the girl to be hurt, he cups his hands out, before shooting off his magic.

"Gravity Creation Magic. Repelling Shield!"

From before Mimosa, the gravity force he shot off created what seemed to be a shield that gave off a radiant glow, and the plants that attacked were repelled away from Mimosa, smashing deep into the earth, though more tried to go around the shield to grab Mimosa.

Before they could, Venta flashed before them, and with his gravity blade, sliced through them several times.

Landing beside her, his eyes went towards her.

"Are you alright?"

Mimosa nodded shyly, seeing his concerned eyes for her.

"Yes...I am okay, thank you. But Venta-san, he seems a lot stronger than before. Is it a magic tool like a mage stone?"

"Based on the fact that I can't sense an outside source of power fuelling him, I can't see it being a magic tool like that. But you're right, his power has increased a good deal, too much for it to be a natural thing."

"If not them, then what is it?"

"Not sure, can't see any kind of items that could power him up, so that leaves..."

Before he could finish, from below him, plants erupted upwards, together near Mimosa.

She let out a cry, when he turned his hand down, shooting off a dense blast of crushing gravitation force that destroyed the plants, then he turned towards Mimosa, taking her hand as he got towards her, and brought her towards his body.

"Best you not stay on the ground huh." Venta places his hand out, and creates a platform of stones from the ground, that hovered in the air thanks to his Gravity Magic, which Mimosa steps onto. "You'll be safe here."

Saying that with a bow of his head, he turned back to the opponents, and shot off at blinding speeds.

"Die."

Shidan snapped, and caused many plants to appear all around his form.

"No."

Swinging out his sword, he cleaves through all of the plants, while noticing coming in from the left, was a few sharp looking plants.

Sharply going towards his body, he disappeared in a burst of gravity, and got above the plants, coming down in a swift movement, cutting through them, before he placed his hand to the cut off plants, and manipulating gravity, send the plants right back towards Shidan within a few seconds.

Making it move like a propeller in the air, the cut off plants shot for Shidan who placed his hand out, creating a shield of plants before him. However, when the plants hit the shield, the weight of the plants suddenly increased to the degree that it dragged all of the shield down with them, exposing Shidan's form.

Mimosa looked on, seeing a magic circle on the projectile plants he fired off, and began thinking about what he did to accomplish that.

"Was it Trap Magic he used then? Or an application of his Gravity Magic? Either way, it would make sense...and he activated it so quickly as well. It's clear he knows how to fight, and is smart about it as well. I wish I could also fight about it like that."

As she thought about it, he zipped towards the Plant Magic user Shidan, getting before him he raised his sword, and swung it down towards the man.

As he did, Shidan tried to defend with his plants, managing to cut into Venta's cheek, but the sword ended up cleaving through not only the plants, but cutting into him as well, and as his blade of gravity did cut him, Venta activated his Gravity Magic, causing it to increase Shidan's weight, and slammed him so hard into the ground that he passed out from the intense impact.

Confirming that he was indeed unconscious, Venta's eyes go towards Mimosa's.

"Seems like he's done for."

Lowering the platform that she was on, Mimosa returned to the ground, as did Venta.

Looking over the defeated Shidan, Venta bent down and checked him over.

"He's going to live, just as well since I'd like to have some words with him."

"It's strange though, how he was able to get so strong so quickly."

"Unnaturally so." Venta added, before he wrapped the man up with restraining magic. "But ignoring that, sorry about that, I wasn't sure if he was following you or me and I couldn't confirm if he was going to attack or not. I called for some backup the moment I sensed him approaching us, which should be here in a minute or so."

"Ooh, no, that's okay. Don't worry about it. I'm just glad you're okay."

Speaking with a serene smile on her face, the young woman bowed her head.

He chuckled awkwardly, scratching his cheek.

"Yeah I'm pretty good, only got a little scratch nothing major."

Mimosa looked at the gash on his face, seeing that it was bleeding a good bit.

She reached up, and placed her hand against his face.

"It would be best if you get healed quickly. Allow me."

Mimosa's magic came out, and began to heal his face.

It felt warm, inviting in fact.

Once she was done, Venta was impressed.

"You're fast, and skilled in healing."

"Yes...even when I was young, I was good at healing magic."

"It shows. Say, wanna join Black Bulls? We could use a strong healer like you~"

"J-Join your squad?! B-But erm..."

"Well, even if you don't, I'm sure we'd go on missions together, if that's what you're going to do?"

Mimosa nodded, becoming more shy by the moment.

"Yes, that's what I wish to do. That's why...erm, can I...observe you train sometime?"

"You want to observe me?"

Mimosa's face turned from smiley to looking slightly nervous.

"I-I just appreciate your skills! With your Gravity Magic as well as your ability to fight. I wouldn't mind...if I could observe even if it is only a little bit..."

"Well, I don't mind. But what would your big brother say?"

Mimosa's face turned sour.

"I don't mind what he says."

"Hehe, I see~"

He chuckled out, which in turn caused Mimosa to begin giggling.

However, that soon stopped when Venta felt something...rather, he felt someone coming in fast.

"Ah, Mimosa-san, I've got to go right now."

He tried to make an exit when Mimosa got before him, her hands together rather shyly.

"Wait, what's wrong?"

Sweat formed on his brow, his eyes hurriedly went towards the location he felt the person coming from, then his eyes went back towards Mimosa, broadening more and more as the Mana was coming in fast.

"Nothing, it's nothing! But I just remembered, I have to go and do something for my...eh, my Captain! That's it, that's what I have to do~ Goodbye Mimosa-san, see you again sometime~"

Venta began waving and walking off at a fast pace, when Nebra, riding a broom came zipping past, and landed before him.

He let out a groan as the woman jumped off of her broom, landing before the young man.

"It seems that you called for assistance, and I arrived."

"I actually called the Coral Peacocks since they were the closest..."

"Perhaps, but I happened to be in town and you shouldn't complain since a noblewoman such as myself came to help a lowly commoner such as yourself."

Mimosa didn't like the way Nebra spoke and spoke up herself.

"Nebra-san, that's not very nice..."

Venta shook his head with an "It's alright don't worry." directed for the young girl as Nebra came walking closer and closer.

"But, it seems that the situation has been handled, it's to be expected from someone such as yourself." She walked to his right hand side, and looked from his face and went down his body. "So, you would be happy and privileged to know that I've invited you to a meal three days from today, at five in the evening, I'll have one of my servant fetch you. Be sure to wear proper attire."

Venta's face dropped.

Mimosa also looked surprised.

"Say what?"

Nebra held a superior smile on her face.

"I thought you'd be excited to want to go out with someone like me. Purely as a servant of course, I can't mingle with commoners. But you may eat at the table, sitting next to me. I've even arranged to have big brother Nozel attend."

Venta didn't like the sound of that.

More than the fact that Nozel was going to be there, he couldn't tell what Nebra truly wanted.

"Wow...that sounds great Nebra-san..." Beginning with an apologetic tone, he could see that Nebra wasn't looking happy. "...but, I think I'm busy that night."

"Doing what?"

She demanded, Venta looked left and right, not sure what to say to that.

"Well...erm..."

Mimosa looked on, seeing the eyes of Nebra on him furrowing, and she felt sorry that Nebra was...even Mimosa wasn't sure what Nebra was doing, so she stepped forward.

"Actually, I hired him, as an escort for me, Nebra-san."

Nebra's eyes went towards Mimosa who shrunk under the gaze.

"Mimosa, what did you say?"

Mimosa cringed internally.

The tone Nebra used wasn't a happy one at all.

"Yes...he's going to be escorting me, to a town that evening, to research some things. Approved and everything, we were just finalizing it right now."

"Oh...I see, well it would be good if connections are made to raise your lowly status Ven-kun." Venta didn't recall when he said she could call him that. "Very well, our meal will have to wait. Make sure to keep Mimosa safe."

"Can do."

Nebra slowly inclines her neck, as she pulls closer.

"Well then, I'll be seeing you later."

He shuddered at that, seeing the way she was looking at him with alluring eyes.

As she walked off with Shidan tied up, Venta bowed his head in thanks for the young woman.

"Thank you Mimosa-san. Couldn't think of anything then."

"It's okay, I've never seen Nebra-san like this before."

"Is that good or bad?"

Mimosa didn't know how to answer that.

"I'm not sure."

"Well either way, thanks again. If there is anything that I can do, let me know. I owe you one for that."

Mimosa shook her head.

"It's okay, I don't mind."

"Oh yeah, you said you wanted to watch me train didn't you?"

"Y-Yes, you don't mind?"

"No, of course not, I'm...not free tomorrow, I know I've got a mission with Sol-chan which is always interesting...the day after tomorrow, I've got free time. So how about that?"

"Erm...yes, that works for me. So, see you then?"

"Sure, lets meet by that ice cream place we went to, around...nine?"

"Yes, then I'll be off. Thank you again for today, it was...very interesting, I had a lot of fun~ Apart from the fight of course!"

Mimosa bowed and began running off.

As she did, Venta noticed that she looked rather shy as she was running. Her hands went to her face, keeping the shyness at bay.

Venta smiled slightly to himself as Nero flew to his right shoulder.

"That man, the Plant mage...the unnatural power that he had..."

"Yes, if I'm right...I'm pretty sure I know who it was that did that to him. Eh...this is going to be a bit of a headache if it was..." He stretched his arms side to side. "Either way, lets get back to the base, I'm beat~"

"Dealing with that girl, Nebra..."

"It seems Mimosa-san saved me from that~ I'm not even sure if she hates me, likes me, wishes to hate me by liking me...complicated stuff."

Turning, he began walking away from the area, happily speaking with Nero about various topics.

As he did however, he looked back towards the place Mimosa disappeared, and lightly smiled.

But that was soon stopped when he heard an ominous "Don't forget me..." ringing out within his mind, his Grimoire glowing as the voice came through his being.

Inhaling slowly, he turned around and began walking away as he murmured "I remember you..." while Nero laid on top of his head, peering down at him curiously.

Shaking his head, he continued walking on home, Nero noticing a small horn growing from atop his head for a few moments, before it disappeared completely.

End chapter!

So, this is the beginning of the Black Clover story! As you can see by the end, the story with a Devil won! And Gravity Magic that won the other poll as well!

So the first chapter kicked off with meeting Mimosa, Nebra who seems to have something for him, we'll see how that plays out~ And some others, doing his duties for Yami, even being a pillow for Dorothy, while dealing with some of the craziness of his life. He and Nero/Secre have a good relationship, he even knows a good deal about her and vice versa, the circumstances of them meeting, how he found out about her being able to talk and all that will be revealed down the line in the story.

He even had to deal with Shidan and a certain someone powering him up a good bit~

Also since this is a harem for this that aren't aware, please suggest away! The only confirmed members so far are Mimosa, Secre and Vanessa.

Finally, I did receive some comments about female versions of Asta, Yuno, and Luck, and I'd be alright with that, but I thought it would be best to ask you guys! I could see some funny moments, like with female Asta asking Venta to marry her when they meet, the rivalry between Yuno and Asta and with Luck, it would be rather fun to see the mix of fighting and love between him, and Venta.

So yeah, I'll leave it to you guys!

Well, until next time, thanks for reading!
