Welcome to the next chapter.
Nirvash Neo; Thanks for the votes. Cool, I'll check it out. Thanks, glad you're enjoying it so far!
rasheek0011; Thanks for the votes. Thanks, I'm happy you're liking the story so far.
Unlimited Fic Works; Thanks. It's because he's able to create it, like how darkness isn't a tangible thing yet somehow Yami manages to do damage to others, or other forms of magic that wouldn't make sense to be able to hurt people can in Black Clover, it's basically like that. Venta's able to pull gravity together in a single point to immensely enhance his physical strength, and release it through a fist, he's able to repel it for him to fly through the air, and do all sorts of stuff like that, and the stuff the Gravity Magic can do in the main series as well, hope that answered some stuff for you, and thanks very much! Glad you're enjoying it so far.
Zhany; Thanks for the votes.
Clarent excalibur; Thanks, glad you liked it. Thanks for the votes. Yeah, Asta surely did~ They at least are on speaking terms yeah, more of their relationship shall come to it soon. That would be a cool combination between them. He definitely could drop meteors on people if he wished to do that~ I've got some fun interactions between Mimosa and Noelle~ Elf Fana is going to be fun to write for, and I've got some big plans for her. Haha, that would be funny if Finral did something like that.
InnocentxPsycho; Thanks for the vote.
helios darkus; Thanks for the vote. Yeah, Asta did end up asking Venta to marry her. If they were normal weak members then yes, Venta would have crushed them within seconds, but they weren't as said at different points last chapter. Sally enhanced them with her potions and they weren't weak to begin with. Sally also wished to see Venta being pushed for her data, so she made sure to give him a challenge to see what he could really do plus that's after Venta using a good deal of magic that day and protecting Asta and Yuno. As for the appearances for Asta and Yuno, that's what I thought would make the most sense. Hope that cleared some stuff up for you.
Silverstein Ravenfang; Thanks very much! Glad you liked it! Venta can yeah, he's got some cool tricks up his sleeve. Gordon is nice yeah. Nebra's quite cute huh~?
ShadowUzumaki55; Thanks. Glad you liked the fight scenes. Venta and Sol have a fun relationship. Sally is yeah, we'll see her doing more things soon enough. Thanks for the votes.
Son of Lupa and Hestia; Thanks for the votes.
Guest 1; Venta's Devils relationship with other Devils is going to be fun to explore. A fight between them would be cool. Liebe I haven't decided upon yet.
Shadow; Thanks for the votes. They'd be interesting.
Silver crow; Thanks. Thanks for the votes. Sol and Venta have a good relationship. Yeah, he managed to help out Yuno, and even healed her wounds. Nebra's doing her thing, and trying her best~ Yami does care quite a bit about Venta to the point he'd never let him go to other squads unless that's what Venta truly wished for. Yeah, they were quite strong since Sally wished to have more combat data, and knew she'd need stronger Mage's to get it. He wasn't running out of Mana. That's Asta for you. Venta's got thoughts about the elf situation we'll see when they come up. Yeah, that would be cool for Nebra. Noelle will yeah. If Charlotte is in the harem or not depends if what happens with the poll. Venta and Langris' interactions will be interesting to say the least. He could have a stance like that on killing. If he wishes to he can make others fly.
Noelle fan; Yeah, he surely did. Thanks for the votes.
Guest 2; Thanks for the votes. There's many forms of love, a stolen heart could be a true act of friendship or something like that. That would be cool for Grey, thanks for the votes.
djinn; Thanks! Thanks for the votes!
Guest 3; Him being promoted like that would be cool later down the line. I could see it happening, and yeah the nobles would probably react like that. Thank you for the suggestions.
Guest 4; That does sound amusing with Fana. Fana doing that would be pretty awesome.
Guest 5; Venta could do that yeah, look after the newbies. His Mother could be like that yeah.
Guest 6; He could be yeah. Venta tries quite hard yeah. Venta is quite like that for the Black Bulls while Nacht isn't around.
Guest 7; I could see Venta being able to deduce that about Noelle yeah. Thanks for the votes.
White clover; Thanks for the votes. He might use his Devil there yeah~
Guest 8; Venta knows quite a bit about it from Nero yeah, she's told up a good deal. Thanks for the votes. Yeah, that would be pretty cool with Grey.
Guest 9; Yeah, Secre will get her human form quicker than she did in the canon series. Doing that with Elf Fana would be pretty awesome. That would be cool for Elf Fana, thanks for the suggestions!
Mimosa fanboy; That would be a pretty interesting backstory to have. That would be a funny moment between Noelle and Venta's Mother. Thanks for the suggestions.
Guest 10; Thanks, glad you're enjoying it so far. Thanks for the votes. Those would be funny moments~
Nameless; Mereoleona could be yeah. That would be how she would do things, she seemed to have no problem with others doing it.
Guest 11; I could see a scene like that between Venta and Langris, it would show a cool side to him.
Thfdrgc; Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, that would be a fun time for Luck.
Fana is waifu; Secre might be able to do that yeah. Yeah, Fana doing that would be cool. Thanks for the suggestions!
Guest 12; Mimosa doing that would be pretty cool, I quite like the idea~ That would be cool if Elf Fana did something like that. It's going to be interesting to see what Elf Fana does during that part of the story.
HolyKnightX; Thanks, glad that you liked them~ I've got some fun moments between Asta and Liebe. Slyph being like that would be fun to see. Thanks for the votes.
Valtryek sama; Thanks for the votes. His past will be shown as the story goes on. If Venta really needed to, he could have a reflect mode on. The Devils got their own story going on. Venta's got many sides, we'll see as he goes through the story. Spoilers if he self taught Mana Zone or if perhaps Mereoleona gave it him. I can't say if he's possessed by an Elf or not.
haibara san; Thanks for the votes. Yeah, that would be cool. Venta hints about if he knows Ki this chapter. We'll see the Devil in what form they are in soon enough.
Guest 13; I could see Venta wanting to stop them yeah. That would be a nice little love story between them.
Guest 14; Yeah, that would be a cool moment. Yeah, that would be a cool Black Clover story.
Guest 15; Those two could come together and vanquish Zagred. That would be cool for Fana.
Neonlight01; Thanks for the votes.
Guest 16; All I can say about Venta's Grimoire is that it will have some history behind it. Thanks for the votes.
Secre best waifu; Thanks for the votes. Secre's told him a fair bit about what's been going on in the past.
Guest 17; Yeah he could be considered that while Nacht is away. It would be fun to see him doing that for them.
Infinite guest; Yeah, that would be pretty cool~
kurenai lui; Thanks for the attack ideas. Thanks for the votes.
Drake san; Since Sally wished to get combat data as she explained at the end of the last chapter, she sent some strong Mage's in that were enhanced a good deal, Venta fought them after using his Magic a fair bit with fights, flying all the way to Hage, and healing Yuno among other things and couldn't go all out with two civilians at this point being around and having to protect them as shown last time. Yeah, she surely did. Thanks for the vote. His background is unknown as it will be revealed later on. We'll see the Devils history as time goes on.
Terrariuz; Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the votes. Grey and Charmy, could be yeah.
Shadowseer; Thanks for the votes.
Prince of Decay; Thanks for the votes.
Guest 18; That would be a fun moment if he did that. Yeah, Venta could fight Vetto and how that would turn out, we might see in the future.
Guest 19; Venta and Sol have a fun dynamic, she denies that working with him is good, but she does secretly like it. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, he had to quite a bit last chapter, between flying to Hage, fighting with Sol, then defending the girls while fighting~ Yami, despite how he is, does quite like Venta. Haha, yeah that's Asta for you~ Thanks very much! Thanks for the votes! Charlotte being like that would be pretty cute. Thanks for the harem suggestions!
Andrew123456; Thanks for the votes.
one pie1234; Thanks for the votes.
Any of one; Thanks for voting.
Demon lord digimon; Thanks for the vote. Yeah, it would be funny. I can't say about that part of the story yet, spoilers. The Devils pretty strong. Yeah, he'll show them power. I haven't decided about that yet. The Devils relationship is going to be fun to explore.
OceanMaster32; Thanks for the votes.
Guest 20; Thanks for the votes. Grey's cool yeah. We'll see in this chapter a bit of Mimosa, and Noelle speaking together. Yeah, Venta will make sure Gordons there.
Guest 21; Yeah, I could see that motivating him a good deal.
BlazeKick; Yeah, he'll offer advice and assistance when needed. Haha, it would be fun to see~ Thanks for the votes.
lord of Prospero; Thanks very much! Thanks for the votes.
CrimsonStreak; Yeah, that's Asta for you~ They'll be competing in their own way. Thanks for the votes.
Guest 22; Yeah, he's around that age. That could lead to some fun moments~
Guest 23; Thanks very much for the votes.
Guest 24; If that was how he and Charlotte met, it wouldn't mean necessarily Venta's from the Clover Kingdom, as Yami came to the Clover Kingdom from a different place when he was young, and it's shown others travel to different Kingdoms for all sorts of reasons. We'll learn more about the Devil as the story goes on.
Well, with those reviews out of the way, it's time to start the chapter!
Helping Hage!
Venta, after receiving...a very interesting proposal from Asta, decided to leave the girl to get some rest. So he took this chance to go and visit the area that Nero wished to go, and that was to see the First Wizard Kings statue.
The birds eyes looked upon the statue as Venta glanced at her.
"Seeing this, does it bring back nostalgic feelings?"
"When I look at the statue, it makes me feel many things. One is guilt, and another is sorrow."
"You have nothing to feel guilty about Nero."
"The First Wizard King is...being as he is now..."
Venta reached out his hand, so Nero flew onto it. His finger pressed against the side of her bird face, and he gently smiled.
"As I said, you don't have to feel guilty about anything. You've suffered enough Nero, don't put anymore on your shoulders."
"You are as kind as ever to me."
Venta lightly chuckled.
"Eventually, the First Wizard King will be free."
"...I hope so."
Venta petted the top of the bird head with a single finger, before his eyes cast back to the village.
"I guess tomorrow we'll be heading back home. Though before we do, I'd like to study that Magic Stone."
"What are you going to do?"
Venta thought about that.
"It does seem that Yuno-san has an attachment to the stone...I don't know yet, eventually we'll need it of course, so when the time comes, I'd ask to see if I could use it briefly for you, and give it back when it's been used."
"That might be a good way to go about it. But, if people discovered about the Magic Stone, they might try and take it for themselves."
Venta understood that, and thought about how it would be a conundrum for the pair.
"That's a good point, it seems those guys we dealt with could have been after the stone as well...or maybe it was Yuno-san herself. It's not unheard of, but she has a great amount of Mana for someone that I presume isn't royalty or a noble."
"Hmmm..."
Venta looked at the bird in his hand.
"Something on your mind?"
"No, I was just thinking about something. The Magic Stone, if she learned to defend herself, then the stone could stay with her for as long as she wishes for, and we could borrow it when the time is right."
"You're not wrong. But there is something else that does surprise me. The girl with no Magic, I can't feel a trace of Mana within her at all."
Nero furrowed her brows.
"I also find it odd."
"I can't recall anyone else like that before. Even the weakest have a small amount of Mana, but she doesn't have any. I wonder if it's natural..." Venta yawned as he twitched his neck side to side. "Well, time to set up camp..."
As he spoke, he felt a presence coming closer.
His eyes caught the sight of Sister Lily making her way towards him.
He waited for her to come, which she did a minute later.
"Excuse me, may I have a moment of your time?"
"Of course Sister, what is it you'd like to discuss?"
"Actually, it isn't so much as a discussion, as it is a curiosity." Venta nodded for her to continue. "Then, because it is late, are you planning on heading back to your Squad tonight?"
"I actually have some left over business within Hage, need to fully check out the dungeon still. So I'll probably be heading back tomorrow."
Lily clapped her hands together.
"Then you'll need a place to stay. Will you follow me? We don't have much...it isn't even much of a mattress..."
"The floor is fine with me."
"Is that so? Then please follow me, it is getting late."
"Okay, thank you. You're quite kind."
Lily waved her hand.
"No, no. It's only natural, you saved both Asta and Yuno, those two girls definitely are...different from each other, but in some ways they've very alike as well. So when I heard they were in danger, thankfully you came, Magic Knight-san."
"Please, just call me Venta."
"Then Venta-san, thank you for saving those girls. I really care deeply for them, I have raised them for a long time now."
"I see, then they've grown up to be very good people, I could tell by how dedicated they were into protecting each other."
The young nun laughed to herself, as she, and Venta walked off into the night together.
In the evening, as Venta was off in Hage village, back in the Black Bulls base, Vanessa was readying herself to go to bed, she saw Yami strolling through the doors, so she spoke up.
"Captain, have you heard anything from Ven-kun?"
Yami paused, his eyes going towards the young woman.
"Nothing yet. I hope he hurries back, I'd like to go and play some card games, and I haven't gotten any money."
Vanessa gave the man bemused eyes.
"Seriously Captain you'll have to pay him back."
"I'm good for it, and I have a feeling about this next card game."
Vanessa wasn't so sure about that.
But then, she saw that walking in, was a sleeping Dorothy.
Shuffling her feet across the floor, she sleepwalked towards the place Venta's bedroom was.
Vanessa didn't want to disappoint the Captain, so she spoke up.
"Captain, I'm sorry, he isn't here. He's actually gone on a mission and probably wont be back for a few days."
Dorothy paused, then turned around, and began shuffling her feet out of the room.
"Sleepy head, I'm not losing next time."
Dorothy paused, and her sleeping face turned towards Yami.
She didn't verbalize anything, but held up a piece of paper that said "Bet Venta-kun again next time." before turning and walking out.
Yami glances towards her, as she left the room.
His eyes then went towards Vanessa who was giving him a mixture of perplexed eyes and a soft understanding of the situation without fully knowing all of it, hence the perplexity of the gaze.
"I wont lose to her again in a card game, you know?"
Vanessa resisted the urge to face palm.
"Captain, you aren't going against her are you?"
"You bet I am."
Vanessa's face darkened.
"But you lost to her last time."
"That was last time, and I only lost seven games." Vanessa sweat dropped as Yami tightened his large fist. "I wont lose again Vanessa, I can't lose again to her."
Vanessa felt a weird feeling that Yami most likely was going to lose to her, since it seemed for someone that was asleep most of the time, Dorothy had the ability to play cards very well, well enough for her to continuously beat Yami in multiple games.
The next day, Venta's eyes cracked open to see a sea of green before him. Accompanied by that was ash blonde hair, he felt hands pressing at both sides of his body, as he looked down, seeing Asta having come into his room.
Because she had no Mana to sense, he was taken slightly off guard by her appearance in his room all of a sudden.
"Morning!"
She said excitedly, Venta offered a gentle smile.
"Morning Asta-san, feeling better?"
"Much! Thanks to you, Yuno told me all about it! How you came and saved me, right?"
"It's what we Magic Knights do after all."
Asta continued showcasing a grin as she leaned closer.
Venta could feel her chest pressing against his own with how close she was to him.
"So, as a thank you, lets get married!"
Venta blinked as he tried to sit up.
But the girl kept him down, not in a forceful manner, but more because she was leaning down towards him and he didn't want to push her aside.
"It seems you quite like the idea of marriage. Ever proposed to anyone else?"
"Nope~"
Venta chuckled lightly.
"Maybe we should get to know one another first before deciding something like that."
"Okay! Then my name is Asta, I'm from Hage Village, I'm fifteen years old, and I am going to become the Wizard Queen! I haven't received my Grimoire yet but I will be doing very soon! Then I'll show you a bunch of cool spells!"
Venta blinked at the information.
"I see...so you're going to become the Wizard Queen?"
"Yup! That's right! When I'm the Wizard Queen, will you become my King?!"
Venta gave her a curious stare.
"We'll have to wait and see about that. The Grimoire ceremony isn't long away, is it?"
"Yeah! So, tell me everything about you! As your future wife, I'd like to know about my future husband!"
Venta had to admire her tenacity and desires being fully shown.
She didn't hide what she wished for.
And to him, she didn't seem like a bad person either so he didn't mind sharing a few things.
"Well, my name is Venta, I am a member of the Black Bulls."
"Black Bulls huh? That sounds good! Are they good?"
"I'd say that they are really good yes. So, you know to become Wizard Queen, you'd have to become a Magic Knight, before doing anything else."
"Aah, I know! I can't wait! Yuno seems dismissive of me, but she's a big challenge for me to overcome, and then I'll overcome everyone else for the title of Wizard Queen or King, whoever! I'm going to do my best!"
"That's great, I'm glad that you're determined Asta-san."
Venta admitted, as she let out a happy cry.
"Yes! Now I've also got a goal of marrying you! If I become the Wizard Queen, I'll make you my Wizard King!"
"Well, that's very interesting~ But first, we should get some breakfast."
Venta stood up, and as he did, the sheets fell to reveal that he was only wearing his underwear.
Asta's eyes went towards Venta, and saw his state of dress, as he walked towards the place his clothes were being kept. A huge blush erupted across her face.
He chuckled lightly, before beginning to get dressed, while Asta's surprisingly shy eyes kept looking at him and then away, then at him, and then away, Venta thought it was rather cute for her to do that.
Later on that day, Venta finished breakfast when he stepped outside. He hadn't had a chance to get a good look at the village the previous day, so he thought about walking around and seeing how the village was, what sights there were to see.
However, what he saw did trouble him.
Seeing houses that looked to be missing parts to them, seeing the crops having been destroyed by something.
Seeing the destruction, and seeing how the villagers seemed rather depressed as he walked by…
As he thought about, Venta saw Lily together with Asta and Yuno at the Church. He saw the three of them doing chores, hanging out clothing on washing lines, starting fires, things of that nature.
"Sister! Teach me about romance!"
"A-Asta, I can't do something like that!"
"Please! I have to know everything!"
Yuno pulled back, and rolled her eyes at the sight while Lily looked perplexed.
"T-That's not something that I have much experience with!"
"Because she is a Sister, Asta. She wouldn't know much about it."
Yuno spoke up in a slightly mocking manner, but Venta felt like it was more banter than anything truly negative.
Asta pointed at her angrily.
"That's...ugh! But if I don't know...then how can I get married?!"
Venta didn't know what to say to that, so he pulled away and continued around the village.
As he did, he saw that Yuno seemingly followed him.
His eyes went towards the girl.
"Something on your mind?"
Venta asked, Yuno shook her head.
"Sister Lily asked me to see if you're staying for lunch."
"That's sweet, but I'm okay. I'll find something to eat."
"Okay..." As Yuno spoke, she noticed that his eyes were going over the village. "Has something caught your eyes?"
"I was just thinking, the village seems to be in need of repair. Was it because of those that attacked Asta-san and yourself?"
Yuno nodded her head.
"Yes, that's right. Some of the area got destroyed, but we aren't able to repair it. Since we don't have a lot of money around here. And the current situation means that we'll have trouble if we can't fix some of the core things we need around here to live."
Venta shook his head.
He wished that it wasn't like that in villages like this.
Venta's eyes went towards Yuno, before nodding to himself.
"I'll be back in a little while."
"Where are you going?"
"I just need to finish off some duties, that's all."
Venta waved, and began walking off together with Nero.
Yuno tilted her head, before choosing to follow to see what was going on.
A small time later, Venta went to go and check out the remains of the dungeon the enemies were held up. He doubted it, but he thought that if he could find something that could lead him to what the enemies were truly after, apart from what Venta thought was obvious like perhaps the Magic Stone or even Yuno's Magic itself.
Going into the depths of the area, Venta hummed as he looked through the mostly destroyed room thanks to the fight the previous day.
Nero came up from his hair and looked around.
"You think you'll find anything out here?"
"Not sure, but it's best to make sure this dungeon doesn't pop up again. I'll probably cave it in once looking through it to see if there's anything of worth or value in both wealth and information around here. Though it seems to have been stripped clean."
"Makes me wonder why the chose this place. So far out..."
"Perhaps that's the point." Venta posed to the bird. "It is far out, Magic Knights aren't going to come here most of the time. By the way the villagers looked at me, and what I heard from people like Lily-san, it seems that Magic Knights are rare, or at least unheard and unseen by those in the villages most of the time."
"...So going out of the eyes of the Magic Knights to do nefarious experiments, that would make sense. Those people as well, their Mana's went from good to quite high, but their sanity seemed to be slipping as I saw their actions going more and more crazed. And then at the end, as that lightning Mage injected himself again, his Mana became even higher, but I also saw that he seemed to be even more reckless, most likely his mind couldn't handle the strain of the drug or whatever it was he used."
Venta nodded in agreement.
"That's probably why they came here, and yeah, as you said, the price seemed to be their sanity was fading away for the boost of power."
"Indeed, still it's good you defeated them. That scientist they mentioned, seems like they are concentrating on you."
Venta placed a hand on his forehead.
"Great, that's what I need, a scientist that can boost peoples powers...but still, I guess while possibly waiting for me out here, they never thought they'd find a Magic Stone out here in the outskirts of the forsaken realm. They probably thought that it was a huge score for them, too bad I was here huh."
Venta's words caused Nero to hum to herself.
However, Venta's eyes went towards the entrance.
"Seems like we've got a follower."
Nero looked, and nodded, so she silenced herself as Venta waited for the person to come through the entrance.
Then said person did, revealing it to be Yuno.
"Yuno-san."
"I...I saw you coming this way and decided to follow, to see what you were doing."
Being up front about it, Venta was all the more curious.
"So what's going on? Something you'd like to know maybe?"
Yuno walked closer towards him as Venta gave her a curious stare.
She then moved to his right hand side.
"How strong are you?"
"That's tough to define, lets say that I can handle myself."
"I saw, but because of that, I have a few questions."
Venta nodded.
"Sure, what?"
"Then your Magic, I haven't seen anything like it before. To be honest, I haven't seen Magic in many forms. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of Magic is that?"
"Well, my Magic is called Gravity Magic, I can affect and alter gravity in a number of ways." As he spoke, Venta caused the pieces of rubble in the area to lift into the air. "Make them lighter, make them heavier. I can even focus gravity into a single point, and cause the thing that's in that point to be crushed by the gravity. But, I have a feeling that isn't what you wished to ask me, is it?"
Yuno tilted her head.
She was surprised he would even say something like that.
"Am I that transparent?"
"No, I could see that there were things within you that you wished to share, but stopped for some reason. You can ask me anything you'd wish to ask."
"Then, if it isn't to much trouble, may I have a small spar with you?"
Venta lightly smiled.
"I will if you answer me one thing."
This time Yuno inclined her head.
"What is it?"
Venta pointed towards the Magic Stone hanging from her neck.
"That, where did you get it?"
Yuno placed a hand over the Magic Stone that she had, before showcasing it for Venta's eyes to fully see.
"This? I've had this for all of my life. As long as I can remember. Why do you ask?"
Venta furrowed his brows, wondering what would be the best thing to say.
"It's just, the stone hanging from your neck, radiates a good deal of power. I'm sure that you can tell, can't you?"
Yuno looked down at the stone for several seconds, then towards Venta's face.
"I suppose that it does. Though I haven't thought about it much before."
"I see."
Yuno felt like there was more than what Venta was saying, so she pressed on.
"Is there...something about this stone? Is it special?"
"Is it special to you?"
Yuno nodded.
"Yes, I'd say that it is."
"Then it is special~"
Yuno blinked several times, pondering what he had just said.
But then saw his smile, so the corner of her lips lifted ever so slightly, not enough to be fully seen, but enough for even Yuno to feel herself smiling.
"So, ready to have a fight?"
"Yes."
Because Yuno didn't have a Grimoire, she didn't have any spells to launch.
But she could still manipulate her wind to blast it out, and that's what she did. Striking hard, and fast, the winds shot at Venta at a good speed, to the point that he was surprised that she didn't have a Grimoire with the amount of power behind the attack.
He raised his hand, and dispelled the wind with a blast of his gravity, cutting through the wind, and released a pulse, which caused the winds to scatter all over the area, leaving Yuno wide open for an attack.
Venta went to blast her with his Magic when she jumped to the side, and shot off several blasts of wind for him.
"Not bad, this girls definitely strong. Wouldn't mind fighting her fully when she's got her Grimoire, but even now I can see she's got a good deal of power behind her attacks."
Coming at him like torpedo's, Venta waved out his hand, creating spheres of gravity in the air, and sent them out to attack Yuno's attacks. Colliding with one another's powers, Yuno was pushed back by the shockwaves.
But she also noticed that Venta wasn't being pushed back by the shockwaves.
In fact, it seemed that the shockwaves weren't bothering either him, nor Nero.
Confusion came over her, until she really looked at him.
She saw a faint purple outline around his body, which seemed to be stemming from his Gravity Magic.
"So that's what he's doing. So finely controlling his area of gravity to bend all of the shockwaves around him. It seems he's got a good control over his Mana..."
Gritting her teeth, she cupped her hands together, and caused the wind to concentrate.
Not being a spell, Venta knew it wouldn't be as strong as it could be. But even without one, he had to be amazed at how she was channelling her powers to a degree that she was doing, then he saw her release the winds right for him.
Venta smiled as he stepped forward, causing the ground below him to uproot.
Her eyes went to see his gravity running across the ground, causing it to become light as a feather, floating up to obscure her vision, as her attack was blocked by several of the floating stones coming together to form a shield.
Tanking the attack, the stones flew all around Venta's form, before aiming towards Yuno.
Yuno took a step back as Venta moved forward.
"Something wrong?"
Yuno tightened her hand.
She looked at the young man's Magic energy, and could feel it with her own sensing capabilities.
"No, of course not."
Venta smiled at her spirit.
"That's good, thought you wanted to quit then."
"What gave you that impression?"
Venta chuckled, glad that she said something like that.
She was confident, but not cocky.
She was up for a challenge, yet also understood her opponent as well.
"My mistake Yuno-san. Lets continue."
Venta snapped his fingers, and caused the stones to fly at Yuno.
He didn't go full out, as he didn't want to hurt her.
But to his astonishment, she began firing off blasts of wind from her to take down the stones. Though still because she didn't have a Grimoire they weren't all they could be, the wind attacks definitely were good, he could see that from where he was.
She even began dodging the ones she couldn't do, he honestly was happy to see that she was doing these things.
So while she blasted the rocks, he shot around her.
Speeds that she was surprised by, he got in close, and grabbed her wrists, holding them down as he got near her face.
"N-No."
Yuno blasted her winds for his feet, to try and force him off.
But he quickly moved his feet and dodged the attack, all the while bringing out her arms, and pushed them to both sides of her body, pointing her hands away from his form so she couldn't attack with another wind blast from her hand.
Yuno looked into his eyes, and became slightly transfixed at the gaze he gave her.
She then saw the remaining stones flying at them, stopped in the air.
Her eyes went back to Venta, and due to the closeness along with the impressive feats she saw, she was feeling slightly warm inside. But denied that and simply stared at him with a stoic expression on her face.
"While you haven't got a Grimoire yet, I have to be impressed by your strength. The way you fire off your wind, how you're able to finely control it without any spells is impressive enough, so seeing you with a Grimoire is going to be an interesting sight to see."
"I will be getting my Grimoire soon, so when I do I'll be filling it with spells that might even surprise you."
"No doubt, I hope that's the case. Though, I think that your attack was quite direct."
"Is that bad?"
Yuno asked, with Venta shaking his head.
"If you've the power to pull it off, not at all. And you definitely do, with a Grimoire I'd say you'd be pretty powerful. However, there are strong people out there. Magic Knights that have incredible talent and skills and can fight in numerous ways with their Magic. If you'd like my advice, I'd say that as you learn spells, try and diverse the fighting style you've got as well. Fighting up close, long range, cover the bases you can do. Of course, make it something that you're comfortable with doing."
Yuno took his words to heart as he released her wrists.
Venta then pulled back as she stared at him.
"All in all, not bad Yuno-san. Can't wait to see what you can do in the future." Venta placed a hand on his hip, and looked around. "Though it seems that this place isn't going to give us anything, probably stripped clean by the previous people here. Ah well, what can you do? Best take this place out before anyone else tries to set up shop here."
"Yes, that would be the best thing to do. Though after that, what are you going to do? Leave?"
Venta glanced at the girl, seeing her eyes on his form.
He couldn't tell fully what she was thinking by facial expressions alone.
It seemed that she looked sad however.
Venta turned his face away and thought about his options.
"Not sure yet, I might have something's to do. Why don't you head to the village? I'll be back soon enough."
Yuno tilted her head in wonder, while Venta showcased a soft smile on his face.
Yuno wondered what he was going to be doing.
Later on during the day, Yuno sat down together with the others in the Churches family, including her foster siblings, which included Asta who seemed to be grabbing her hair and kept saying "He hasn't left yet, has he?!" over and over to Sister Lily who didn't have an answer, and the Father of the Church as well, a man named Oris.
"Hahaha! You proposed to a guy and he ran off!?"
The Father joked with Asta who growled.
"Don't say it like that!"
"Though I wonder where he did go…?"
Lily mused aloud while Yuno shrugged.
"He said he had something he needed to do, and then after destroying the dungeon, he left, saying he'll be back soon enough."
Yuno replied honestly.
As they ate however, they heard a commotion going on outside.
The Father was the first to go out, with Asta running out after him. Soon, Lily, the children and Yuno also came walking out to see Venta casually walking into the town, above him, all sorts of different things were floating around.
Bricks, and other housing supplies, even things such as what looked like a boar.
Asta rushed over, and bent up towards him.
"What are these?!"
"Stuff to fix the village with. And some meat, I saw that some of your food supplies have been destroyed, so I bought this boar I hunted. If kept right, it should last a good long while, and some more should be coming in the next few weeks."
He replied casually, shocking most of the people around.
"Meat! I haven't had that in a while!"
The Father called out, while Lily looked amazed.
"But, we cannot afford such supplies. We couldn't pay you."
Lily spoke up, Venta nodded.
"It's alright, consider it a thank you for healing me after the fight, and your kind hospitality."
Venta's words touched the likes of the Father, and Lily who didn't know what to say.
Asta nodded again and again.
"I knew it, I knew you were the right one! So please marry me right away!"
Venta chuckled, lightly petting her head.
"How about we fix the village up first, then go from there?"
"I knew it, it's a present for our marriage~"
"Well..."
Venta chuckled lightly, as Asta showcased a large grin on her face.
"Then you're staying for a few days, right?"
"Yes, I'll help fix the village between some missions I've taken up near here. I heard from Yuno-san the situation about the Mages doing these things to your village, so the least I can do is make sure the village is fixed up before I leave."
Asta threw her hands up into the air.
"Yeah! Now I'll have the chance to win you over! Hahaha!"
Venta had to smile at her enthusiastic ways.
Yuno looked on, seeing Venta smiling...and it felt good.
Seeing a Magic Knight going the extra mile just for them, people that he didn't have any obligations to help out.
Even Lily was surprised to see, but was happy at the same time to find someone so kind like Venta to assist like this.
A few days had passed, and back at the Black Bulls base, Vanessa, in a drunken state of mind, looked at the pillow that was supposed to have her head resting on it, and felt disheartened that Venta hadn't returned yet.
She knew he'd be back eventually...but she did miss spending time with him.
"It isn't as nice as his thighs..."
She murmured to herself, she looked to see who was around. She saw Gordon in the corner, mumbling something, and finally Finral who was quietly reading to himself.
Believing she'd not have any fun with them, she went to rest her head on the pillow, when suddenly she saw a woman walk through the door.
It was Nebra.
She looked briefly at Gordon who waved to her, but that freaked Nebra out, and she shook side to side, as her eyes cast to Finral.
Finral showed a small smile on his face, his natural instincts were to flirt with a pretty girl.
"Hey there, are you looking for me by chance?"
"No."
Nebra rejected him, and turned towards Vanessa who was giving her a questioning look.
"So..."
Vanessa began, not sure what to say.
"It's been a few days now, and I am beginning to suspect something's happened to him." Vanessa didn't know where she got that idea. "So my...that Black Bull, where is he?"
Vanessa resisted the urge to groan.
It was too early for her liking, and she also disliked the idea of Nebra appearing so early, and giving accusing tones.
"Ven-kun's not here."
Vanessa replied, Nebra huffed, and began walking away.
As she did, Vanessa went to sit back down, when Nebra came back in.
"When is he back?"
"Yeah, he's on assignment from our Captain so I'm not sure, sorry about that."
"Yes, it seems that even as a peasant, he tries hard. As expected. Though if you don't mind, I'd like to leave this letter within his room. So tell me, which room in this...place is his room?"
Vanessa sighed deeply.
Anything to get her away, she didn't mind telling her.
So she told Nebra were the room was as quickly as she could.
"Then I'll be going there right away, and then I'll be leaving."
"Yes...go for it."
Nebra then happily went up the stairs, but made a wrong turn.
Finral blinked, and turned to Vanessa.
"Wait, his room isn't there, she went the wrong way..."
Vanessa's face dropped.
"Ooh God no...that's where he is..."
Together, Vanessa and Finral tried to stop her before she made it to her destination.
However Nebra went all the way towards the door quickly.
She looked down at herself, smiling all the way, and then giggled as she placed her hand on the door knob. Wanting to see his room, see the place that he slept, and what kind of room it was, she might be able to get some insight into what kind of things Venta liked, what she could bond with him over, things that she might be able to give as a present, things that could help her in general with her own pursuits.
As she did, Vanessa and Finral came running up the stairs, and went towards Nebra, when she flung the door open.
Her eyes went down to see that stood before her…
No, he wasn't standing.
Sitting before her, was Yami, who was currently using the toilet.
Her face turned horrified, as Yami glared hard at her.
"I'll kill you if you don't leave."
Nebra's bottom lip trembled.
Tears came to her eyes, as she shook side to side.
Yami's cold eyes went through her, and seeing him as he was, terrified her.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! VENTA-KUN, SAVE ME FROM THIS NIGHTMARE!" Nebra began running away, but stopped and rushed back at Yami, pointing at him angrily. "I DON'T LOVE HIM EITHER!"
Vanessa giggled as did Finral while Nebra ran away from Yami, and shot out of the Black Bulls base.
Vanessa and Finral walked down the stairs together, and laughed.
"Wow...that was awesome~"
Vanessa smirked out, as Finral couldn't contain his laughter.
Yami growled "Damn Silva girl." before slamming the door shut, causing most in the Black Bulls to cringe.
Nearly a week had occurred since he came to the village.
He built houses with his Gravity Magic between all of the missions he had taken within the forsaken realm, he brought food other than as the locals had, which were special kind of potatoes that held no real flavour but had a filling effect on those that ate them, and did other chores for them. It didn't take long to get the village back together again, and make it look brand new in a few ways.
He contacted Yami, and said he'd be taking up a few missions up in the forsaken realm and would be back as soon as possible.
Yami agreed, believing in what Venta thought would be the best thing to do at that moment.
Lily showed a graceful smile as she watched him do a number of chores that she had asked.
But some guilt could be seen within her eyes.
"I'm sorry for asking for all of these things. I know that you must be busy with many other duties..."
"No, it's alright. I honestly don't mind. So while I'm here, I'll do whatever you need me to do."
Trying to relieve her of her concerns, Venta spoke in a kind manner.
Lily showed a small cute smile.
"If that's the case, then I've got a few more duties..."
"If you write a list, I'll happily do them."
"Thank you very much, you're so kind~"
Lily bowed, and walked off after writing some things that Venta could do for them, leaving Venta to continue on with the chores around the village. Though he knew he couldn't stay for so long, if it was just for this time, he didn't mind.
He continued doing the duties for the day, while conversing with Nero quietly as no one was around.
But that was about to change.
"VENTA!"
He heard the usual call of his name.
Venta turned to see Asta running up at high speeds.
Carrying what seemed to be a bouquet of flowers in her arms, she got down on bended knee, and presented them to him.
He saw on her face, blush marks had appeared, and her eyes looked wider than usual, she even seemed to be slightly nervous as she presented the flowers.
"Venta! Do you like these!?"
Venta gave bemused eyes, as he took the flowers.
"I do like them. That's sweet, thank you."
Asta grinned, and then thrusted a finger at him.
"Now, what are you doing?"
"Actually, I'm just finishing off some stuff for the village."
"Then I'll help!"
Venta smiled at the young girl.
"That's kind. I could use another set of hands."
"Great, show me the way!"
Venta nodded, and got to work together with Asta to help continue build the village.
As he did, he saw the young girls eyes, seeing how she was laser focused on him.
Though he also saw that she was a hard worker, and didn't stop until he did that day.
He was very impressive with her for being able to do that after all.
Meanwhile, within the noble realm, within a few ruins, Mimosa was walking through them as she received a letter from Venta. Telling her that he might have to take a little more time, but he wouldn't miss her Grimoire ceremony.
As she walked, she heard several crashing sounds.
Following the sounds, she came up to see a young girl, around her age, with her hand extended, and firing off continuous water blasts. Though they didn't go in the direction that she wished for them to go in and flew all over the place.
The young girl has pink eyes, as well as having her silver hair tied into twin tails running down by her head, and having a slender build, this girls name is Noelle Silva, younger sibling of Nebra Silva, it seemed that Noelle was determined to train her Magic.
Mimosa watched on, wishing she could do something for her cousin, but the reality was at the current situation she wasn't able to do much…
When she remembered what Venta had said to her, about being emotional support.
It was the least she could do, so she moved closer.
"Noelle, it seems you're doing so well~"
Noelle jumped, and fired off a magic water blast towards Mimosa, who cringed and jumped out of the way.
The water smashed into the side of a stone wall, causing a good deal of damage against said wall.
"Mimosa! I didn't know you'd be here! Sorry about that!"
Mimosa giggled nervously, as she shook her head.
"No, I'm sorry for startling you. I thought you'd be here, that's why I brought some food. You must be hungry, right?"
Mimosa asked as she produced a picnic basket.
Noelle looked at the basket, before offering a soft smile.
"Thank you Mimosa, that's kind."
To most, Noelle was rather blunt, but in the presence of Mimosa, she was able to be more open and free with her feelings.
Mimosa laid out the food, and began eating as Noelle joined her.
"So, you were training again Noelle?"
"Yes...it seems that it didn't go exactly the way that I thought it would do. But, it isn't anything I need to worry about, I'm sure I'll be able to do it soon enough."
Mimosa could see that Noelle was rather frustrated.
It was understandable why she was so.
"Say...erm, Noelle-san. There's this boy that I know...he might be able to help you."
Noelle's eyes shoot for Mimosa who continues up her smile.
"I'm royalty, I am perfectly capable of handling this by myself."
Behind her words, Mimosa knew it was a facade, and that Noelle just didn't want to admit that she could use some assistance.
"Well even then, I think it would be worth at least speaking to him. He's apart of the Black Bulls..."
"Your boyfriend?"
Mimosa did a spit take.
"W-What?"
"I heard a rumour that Kirsch said that some Black Bull is trying to be your boyfriend."
Mimosa looked frustrated, she could imagine Kirsch doing something like that.
"No, big brother is wrong. Venta-san and I...we're really good friends, he saved me from being hurt, and is teaching me all sorts of things."
Noelle blinked.
Mimosa, was learning from a Black Bull?
It seemed surprising to her that he would be able to teach Mimosa anything.
"Really? But he isn't royalty or a noble, is he?"
Mimosa shook her head, but then stopped and hummed.
"Actually, I don't know if he is or not. But even if he isn't, he's taught me all sorts already, and once I get my Grimoire, he promised to help me learn how to defend myself, and fight."
Noelle was shocked to hear that.
Not only was she learning from a Black Bull that didn't have the best reputation, it was clear that Mimosa really enjoyed this man's company.
"W-Well, if he isn't...what if people speak, the royals probably wouldn't be happy about you spending time with him..."
"People can say as they wish, and they don't have to like it either, I really enjoy my time with Venta-san. He's honest, kind, gentle, strong, and he knows how to make sure things go safely in many situations. Even before he left, he even helped a girl from the common realm when he didn't have to, fighting another squad for someone he didn't even know either."
Noelle smiled.
She wished that she could be so honest like Mimosa was at times.
"Sounds like this guy isn't too bad. Though it sounds like you've got a crush."
Mimosa did a spit take.
"C-Crush?!"
"Do you?"
Mimosa's bottom lip trembled, and she shook her head side to side again and again.
"N-No! It isn't anything like that!"
"Sounds like you do..."
Mimosa shook her head.
"We're really good friends! H-He is even coming to the Grimoire ceremony!"
"So your boyfriend will be there?"
"He isn't my boyfriend!"
Mimosa cutely snapped at her cousin.
Noelle couldn't hold back a small giggle that was escaping the back of her throat.
"Boyfriend or not, I'm sure people will see him there, and have questions."
"Probably, but I invited him, big brother is probably against it...but big brother is against a lot of things that I like."
"So you do like the Black Bull boy."
Mimosa became embarrassed and shy at the same time, nibbling on her bottom lip as she moved her eyes to the side.
Noelle couldn't help but find her cousin rather cute when she looked as shy as she did.
Though Noelle was happy for a good distraction, as she didn't want to think about the failures she had that morning and all of the time that she had been practising...she just couldn't think about it at that moment.
Later on that day, Venta was finished for the evening, so he went to take a bath that he managed to make for the Church using his Gravity Magic, much bigger than the one they had before.
Slipping inside of the water with a towel wrapped around his waist, he watched as Nero casually floated within the water.
The birds eyes looked across his upper body as she spoke.
"So Venta, why did you choose to stay here?"
Nero asked, so Venta explained.
"I'm curious about Asta-san and Yuno-san, due to their uniqueness. One without Mana at all and one with incredible Mana and even a Magic Stone. Plus, I thought that if the Mage's that attacked came back to find their friends, then I'd be able to get some information out of them, but it seems that last one hasn't panned out all that well. They probably wont come back now."
"Most likely not. But what about those two girls, found anything out?"
Venta thought about it for a few moments, as he casually allowed his magic to flow through the water, and made it act like a shower, raising it above him, and brought it down.
"Well, Yuno-san, she has royal levels of Mana, yet she's out here...as I said before it isn't exactly unheard of, but it's quite unique. I also heard both girls were abandoned here at the Church, makes me wonder who their families are. Though it isn't like they'd know since they were babies when they were left here. So yeah, tomorrow we'll be heading back to the Black Bulls. But I'd still like to know these girls mysteries."
"Yes, I can see why that would be interesting to you."
"Yeah, then I'll finally be able to speak to the Wizard King about you, and see if he knows anything to help you out of that predicament beyond the Magic Stones idea. Though, I have heard some potential rumours about a location of one of the Magic Stones, so I'll check that out."
"I see, then we should go there when we can."
"Yeah..."
As he said it, Asta casually came into the bath area while whistling.
But that stopped when she saw Venta bathing.
Her eyes lingered on his naked torso and chest, while Nero looked on with lidded eyes.
Venta also saw that she had a towel wrapped around her slender form. Up close, he could see that she had a deceptively large chest for her shorter stature.
"V-Venta!"
"Hey, Asta-san."
Asta couldn't respond right away.
It seemed seeing his naked form (for the most part) had silenced her and all she could do was blush and stare.
He found it rather cute that she was like that.
"Asta-san, you okay?"
Asta's eyes shifted from his upper body to his face, nodding rather fast.
"Yes! Sorry!"
"You don't have to apologize, I was about to get out so the baths all yours."
"N-No! That's fine! I'll wait!"
"Hehe, it's alright, I've got some stuff to do before I go to bed anyway."
When Venta began to stand, Asta shyly turned her eyes away.
But as she did, she tried to move when she slipped and began falling backwards.
Before she could fall onto her back, she was caught by Venta, his hands on her shoulders.
"Careful, it's slippery in here."
Asta looked back and saw how close he was.
Gushing at the sight of him, heat pooled onto her cheeks.
Slowly, she stood tall, and faced him, gushing even more as she got a full view of his body.
As she gazed at him however, there was a knock at the door.
[Venta-san, when you're finished, there's a clean set of clothes out here for you.]
"You didn't have to do that Sister."
[Oh no, it's fine. I'm happy to do so.]
"Thank you, I'll be out shortly."
He heard a small giggle come from the other side of the door, as Asta, overcome with happiness, spoke up.
"Aah, Sister Lily! You're so kind, we'll be the best wives together!"
When Lily heard Asta's voice, she shot into the room immediately.
"Asta! What are you doing in here!?"
"Sister! What's wrong?"
Lily's face turned down, her bottom lip trembled.
Due to being a woman of the cloth, and seeing how Asta was so close to Venta, and in a position that she thought was rather surprising considering they hadn't known one another for long and how they both were in the bath together, or it looked like that to her, instincts took over her, she didn't even realize what she was doing by the time that she had done it.
"Astaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
Lily's grimoire flies open, and a water fist appears, smacking Asta into a wall. The giant water fist disappeared as it fell to the ground like rain.
"Geez, don't piss off this Sister or she'll smash you into a wall..."
Venta cringed as Lily bows her head apologetically.
"Ooh no! Asta, I'm so sorry!"
As she did, her eyes caught the sight of a near nude Venta.
Looking at his naked form, her cheeks burned bright red.
She hadn't seen anyone like this before.
Water glistened his skin, and how the towel didn't cover much beyond his hip area.
All of it was stimulating the mind of the Sister, and she wasn't sure how to handle it.
"V-Venta-san! Y-You're...y-you're...I-I am...a Sister...a-and you're...n-n-nake...naked!"
The sight of Venta overloaded her mind, and she passed out unconscious.
Venta looked towards Asta, seeing she had stars for eyes, and the unconscious Sister...Hage definitely was an interesting place to be, Venta thought.
The next day, Venta finished the villages main worries off. Finishing building the houses, and making sure things were settled before he went, he got a heads up from Yami about another mission that needed his skills for, so he was going to have to part with the village of Hage.
"I see, so you have to go?"
Venta watched as Yuno didn't verbally show anything, it did seem slight disappointment was on her face.
"Yes, that's right. I've got a few duties to do for my Captain."
"I suspected as much. Still, the village is back up to normal...no, the buildings look brand new, they haven't done for a good long time. So thank you for everything you did for us. But I have to ask, why did you do it for us?"
Venta lightly smiled.
"I remember when I was a kid, and saw people living terrible lives. It was a reason I became a Magic Knight, to better the lives of those less fortunate than others. If there was a reason I had, then it would be that. I wish to help people that need it."
As he spoke, Yuno felt a pulse erupting from her heart.
Something inside didn't want Venta to leave.
Though also realized that he did have to leave eventually.
"...Will we see you again?"
"Haha, of course. I'll come back when I get some chances. I do missions in the forsaken realm as well, so when I get time, I'll come back. And you can write to me whenever you wish, I've given Sister Lily the details of where you can write."
Yuno slowly nodded.
"Venta-san...when I get my Grimoire, I'm also going to be trying for the Magic Knights Exam."
"I see, then I'll see you there as well."
Yuno tilted her head.
"You will?"
"I usually accompany my Captain to those, and make sure he doesn't...lets say get too wild. So yeah, we'll see one another again."
For reasons Yuno didn't understand, she was glad.
She liked the idea that Venta was going to be there.
Though more than she cared to admit to.
"I see...then I'll see a friendly face, I can't wait."
"Yes, I can't wait to see what you can do by that time."
Venta gently smiled.
He did quite enjoy Yuno and her mannerisms.
She wasn't the most expressive, but deep down he could see that she did care, and she had a good deal of emotions that she kept hidden within.
As Venta was prepared to leave, he went to go and find Asta to say a proper goodbye and that they'd be able to keep in touch. He walked around the Church, but couldn't find her. He couldn't exactly feel her with Mana Sensing either, so he had to rely on his eyes.
"I wonder, if Mana Sensing wouldn't work, would Captain Yami's Ki Sensing work? I don't know...I'd have to try it out before saying yes or no..."
As he thought about it, Venta heard the sounds of what appeared to be high pitched battle cries.
Curiosity came over him, and he walked towards the place he heard the noise coming from.
Going past the Church, he saw there was some woods before him, so he walked deeper inside of them, following the noise.
Getting up close, he could see a short distance away, was Asta, seemingly training her body.
Doing one handed push ups, Venta was quite impressed by the levels of speed and strength required to do them as hard as he saw Asta doing them. Initially, he wondered what she was going to do about becoming the Wizard Queen but it seemed that Asta had found a way for her to already begin making moves to become the Wizard Queen.
He watched for a few minutes, since she was in the zone and doing her best, so he sat down and waited with his loyal partner Nero.
When she was done, Venta coughed into his hand and got her attention.
"E-Eh! You're here!"
"Yeah, I came to say goodbye."
Asta seemed sad.
"G-Goodbye?"
"Yeah, I'm heading back to the Black Bulls now, and I wanted to say goodbye before I left."
Asta's face scrunched together as she walked forward.
"Wait! You're actually going?"
"I am yeah, why, what's wrong?"
Venta asked curiously, Asta moved even closer, and took his hand.
"I was hoping that you'd be here for the Grimoire ceremony! I wanted to show you my awesome Grimoire!"
"I see..."
Venta gave a sorrowful look.
There were things he needed to go and do, but seeing the sad expression on her face, he also didn't want her to feel like that.
"B-But, I also get it...if you have to go..."
Venta saw the saddened look on her face, and thought about if he could be there for the ceremony, if he had anything pressing on that day to do.
He hummed, as he looked over Asta.
"You've been training, right? Very hard?"
"Y-Yeah! I can't use my Magic yet, so I've been training my body!"
"You know, many would consider that a waste of time. Magic is what matters in this world, they'd say."
"Even then, I'll punch all of the Magic out of existence!"
Venta found it rather refreshing to hear her say something like that.
He wasn't used to it if he was honest with himself.
"Punch Magic out of existence...hehe, Asta-san, you're definitely a delight to be around~" Venta hummed as he snapped his fingers, and caused the rocks around to float into the air. "If you can dodge these rocks, then I'll stay for your Grimoire ceremony, okay?"
Asta's eyes shined like stars, nodding very fast.
"Yes! Yes! I'll do it! Just watch me!"
Venta had to admire her, in the way she carried herself.
So he directed his hand towards her, and caused the rocks to fly towards her at a semi fast speed. He didn't want to go full speed, or she'd end up having some injuries appear on her, but he thought this level was good to challenge her.
But to his surprise, she was more physical than he thought as she began dodging out of the way of the moving rocks.
"Impressive Asta-san."
"Yeah! Is that it?"
Venta smiled, seeing that Asta wished for something even harder, so Venta placed more rocks before him via his Gravity Magic.
"You sure you want it?"
"Come on, give it to me! This is important as I want you to view my Grimoire obtaining! Don't hold back!"
Venta was happy with her determination, so he picked up the attacks, and caused more rocks to come towards her. Showcasing some impressive speed without Mana amping her, she began dodging out of the way.
However, one managed to hit her shoulder, and sent her flying onto her back.
Venta winced, and went to move to assist, when she showed a fearless smile, standing back up, and pointing at him.
"That all you got?!"
Venta smiled at the girl.
"Not by a long shot."
"Then hit me with everything! I'm determined to win!"
"I see, then lets get to it."
Venta continued with the attacks, sending many rubble and stones at her.
She did her best to dodge them all, but couldn't dodge all of them.
In the end, she ended up on the floor, panting several times.
Sweat drenched her brow, as Venta bent over her.
"That was really quite the effort Asta-san, I haven't seen many people being able to do a thing like that without Magic aiding them. I can tell that you've trained really hard for a good long time now."
Venta said it with a kind smile, Asta however looked forlorn.
Venta sat down beside her.
"What's wrong?"
"I didn't win...which means you'll not be here. Right?"
Venta furrowed his brows.
He thought about what he had to do for Yami and some others.
Mapping it out in his mind, he nodded to himself.
"Asta-san, I do have to leave now." Asta's face lowered, as Venta chuckled. "But, I might be around here in...about a weeks time. That's when the ceremony is, isn't it?"
Hope came to the young hyperactive girls face.
"R-Really!?"
"Yes, I think my schedules free for that time. I'll definitely come to your Grimoire ceremony."
Asta shot up like a rocket from lying down, and came face to face with him.
"When you come back, you'll see my Grimoire! I'm sure you'll be blown away!"
"I'm sure that I will be."
"Then when you come back, maybe you'll marry me!?"
Venta couldn't deny that she was set in her goals, and what she wished for.
Though he found it strangely endearing that's what she wished for.
He knew he also had Mimosa's soon, so he would be at both of theirs, no matter what was going to happen next.
End chapter!
So this chapter showed Venta bonding more with Asta, and Yuno, with each respectably gaining some different things out of it, and Venta being quite intrigued by both due to their no Mana for Asta, and high Mana for Yuno, plus the Magic Stone she has. Nebra also had a little bit of a fright when visiting the Black Bulls, while Noelle finally appeared! She had a brief conversation with Mimosa, and it seems Kirsch believes that Venta's trying to date Mimosa and he's quite against it, with Mimosa trying to deny her growing feelings.
So the poll for Luck was more in the male category, so thanks to everyone that voted.
As for Charlotte, it seems that there's a split between Venta x Charlotte and Yami x Charlotte. Some people suggested about how Venta and Charlotte could be a thing, so thanks for that.
Also, some said how Yami and Charlotte being a thing could benefit the story and I can see it from both ways. I could see Venta basically shipping Yami with Charlotte and trying to help them get together for some fun moments.
Either way, Venta and Charlotte would have a good relationship, either as good friends, or lovers, so I'll leave it for one final time to see if the votes shift in either way.
Well, until next time, thanks for reading!
