Venta did yeah, he and Yuno have a good dynamic with one another. Maybe they didn't want to fight directly yet. It wouldn't hamper his usage of All For One, if he sees a Villains Quirk, take Overhaul for an example, he'd take it from him so he couldn't hurt people like Eri again, or Muscular, or whoever, and plus it would be ironic that his own son turns out to be like his brother in the ways of wanting to help people, and bring more story potential between Father and son and how they'd conflict with one another. No, it wouldn't be Re Destro's son who I'd do a villain story with, who he's related to might be surprising. Akira isn't a huge believer, he believes as it makes him feel connected to his Father, when he learns about God from Kokabiel or whoever, it wouldn't tear him up inside. Phenex Oc would be yeah. Yeah, Megicula seems pretty cool. Yeah, he can control things with a flick of his hands. That would be cool with the Witch Queen. Maybe Vanessa could awaken it earlier. Venta could be like that with the girls yeah. I could see Fana doing that. Thanks for the suggestions. Dorothy could do.

The Magic Knight Exam!
Six months...
It really had been that long since Venta had experienced meeting Asta, and the others. Seeing the growth of Noelle, Mimosa, Yuno and Asta, made him really curious as to where they would be going with their powers in the future, and how strong they'd really become.
As Venta finished another mission in the forsaken realm, and curiosity having taken over him, he made his way towards Hage once more. As he got there, he saw that Asta was running around rapidly swinging her sword again and again, cutting into different parts of different trees.
He had been coming to the forsaken realm a good deal since the Grimoire Ceremony a few weeks ago, and he was glad that he got the chance to do so, since he was able to observe and view a few people that he found rather interesting.
Nero on the top of his head looked down at the girl and saw the Anti Magic Sword.
"It seems that she's trying quite hard. I can also sense Yuno-san in the distance also releasing a good deal of Mana."
"Yes, they're trying their best it seems."
"Yeah, plus the Grimoire's they both have, I'm definitely intrigued to see what's going to become of these two. Now that the Magic Knight Entrance Exam is about to come up as well, I'm sure that Yuno-san is going to make it in...as for Asta-san, people would be foolish to not accept Asta-san into their squads."
Nero had to admit that she felt the same way, and wished to know more.
"You've got a point, Anti Magic is something that would be useful to any squad. And she's gotten stronger, faster, better over these months. I think now she could beat a good deal of opponents."
As she said it, Venta flew down towards Asta.
Meeting to the side of her, her eyes went towards his own.
"Venta! There you are! W-Wait, you're here! Then I'll get to try my cooking skills!"
"You can cook?"
"I'm learning from Sister Lily! Can you cook?!"
"Not as good as Charmy-chan, but I can cook a little bit."
Asta nodded again and again as she folded her arms.
"That's good, a husband that can cook as well. Then we can take turns cooking and then snuggling up on a couch as we talk about our day!"
Venta found Asta's words rather adorable.
Though he had to admit that it sounded nice as well. As simple as it was, it was a good dream to have.
He then watched as she took his hand and dragged him towards the village.
"Come on, we'll go right now!"
Venta nodded, and walked off together with Asta.
Getting greeted by the villagers, and then going into the Church, he saw Yuno and Lily also having arrived together with the remaining children of the Church. Asta forced Venta to sit at the table, making sure that a seat was reserved right next to him, while Yuno sat down on his right, something that made Asta grit her teeth.
"How've you been Yuno-san?"
"I've been well, training my Magic, and have even learned a new spell. I wouldn't mind showing you sometime."
Venta gently smiled in her direction.
"I'd love to see it~"
"Yes, and I'll learn some more as well. The exams soon, so I'll show you my strength then."
Venta smiled as Asta rushed to his side.
Surprisingly, she sat down as she laid out some of the food.
Lily, and some of the others saw that Asta...seemed nervous.
It was surprising to see Asta being like that.
But Venta thought that it was rather cute for her to be like that.
Lily thought "Wow, Asta-sans being really quiet, this almost never happens." while Yuno looks towards the young girl.
It was strange for Yuno to see Asta being as quiet as she was.
Though she thought it was welcomed, she still was surprised and wondered why she was as quiet as she was being.
"Shorty, why are you being quiet?"
Rather than retaliate, Asta didn't even respond to Yuno's words.
Instead, she stared at Venta who took the bowl, and a fork.
Digging into the food, he raised it to his lips, Asta leaning forward excitedly.
"So?"
Venta looked at the food, and then to Asta as he began eating it.
Asta looked on with starry eyes, the young girls face looked adorable in Venta's eyes as she was anticipating what he was going to say to her.
"Well, I really like it Asta-san~ It has unique flavours~"
Asta gave a mini cheer.
"Yes! I knew you would! So, will you marry me now?!"
Venta gave a slight chuckle, while Yuno face palmed.
"You learned to cook better to have him marry you?"
Asta's eyes shot for Yuno who looked on curiously.
"Yes! It's all apart of being a married couple! I'll learn to cook and Venta-kun already knows how to cook! So, it's perfect! We'll take turns, and then we'll sit on a couch and talk about our days as Magic Knights together! And then we will do lots of married stuff together! Aah, it is going to be the best, Venta-kun as my husband~"
Venta certainly had to admit that she was persistent, if nothing else.
"That's your dream? What about being Wizard Queen?"
Yuno asked, Asta nodded as if it was a simple thing.
"Of course that's also a dream of mine! I'm gonna make Venta-kun my Wizard King!"
Yuno was surprised by the announcement, while Lily gasped.
"A-Asta-san, saying that so readily!"
"I know Sister! You can also marry him, we'll live happily together!"
Venta looked on and thought "Asta-san does know she's a nun, and most likely wont get married, right?" though when Asta said it, it seemed that Lily was blushing a good bit, most likely remembering the bathroom incident and the bedroom incident as well.
"Y-You can't say that! M-Marrying two people..."
"It's fine if we agree~ We'll both marry Venta-kun and live happily together! Sister, don't you also want to marry Venta-kun?! Then we'll be actual sisters forever and ever!"
Lily felt heat pooling to her face, as Asta asked more and more questions.
Without her realizing, Lily summoned a giant water fist that slammed into Asta's body, sending her flying back.
"Ooh no, not again! I'm so sorry!"
Apologizing and going to help out Asta, Lily felt remorse at her actions, though Yuno thought that it was rather normal for them to do that.
Though when she heard about Asta declaring that she'd make Venta her Wizard King...it got Yuno to think deeper about what that would even mean.
Later that evening, Venta was sat within a room at the Church, packing some stuff away so he'd go towards the noble realm once more. Since he also had some stuff to do before the exam, he thought it would be best if he left that night.
However, while he was going to leave, the door suddenly was knocked on.
[Venta-kun, can I come in?]
"Sure, come inside Yuno-san."
Venta replied, so Yuno did just that. His eyes went towards the young woman, seeing that she held a stoic face.
But she looked rather determined at the same time.
"Tomorrow, we'll be going to the exams."
"Yes, and since it is in a few days, are you going to be walking together with Asta-san?"
"Yes, that's right. Though because it is the exams, I thought that I'd ask, if you are going to be there. And if so, will you watch me?"
It seemed simple as a request.
Yet at the same time it also felt like it was a question that Yuno thought about a good number of times.
"You only want me to watch you?"
"Yes...I've been training hard, and I'd like to show you the fruits of my training. The exams are a big deal. When we go, Asta and I technically will be rivals in the exams as well, competing to show our best sides."
Venta could see why she'd think of it like that.
"Yes, it seems that you will be. Though don't worry so much Yuno-san, I'm sure you've got what it takes. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone wanted you in their group."
Yuno was taken aback as she scratched her cheek.
"You think?"
"Yeah, that's right. You're a very strong person Yuno-san, you're a rare find and your four leaf clover Grimoire proves that to be true as well. So don't worry, and though I'm sure you wouldn't need it, I'll be cheering for you Yuno-san."
With those words, Yuno's cheeks began to turn slightly red.
Hard to notice, but clearly evident on her cheeks.
"Thank you. Venta-kun, may I also ask one more thing?"
"Yes, sure. What is it?"
Yuno's eyes went down to the ground.
She wasn't used to asking such things.
But she did so anyway because of what she felt deep inside.
"About when we get to the Magic Knight Exam, afterwards, regardless of what happens...could we go around the city together?"
"Together huh? Just you and me?"
"...Yes."
She admitted that's what she wished for.
Venta thought Yuno looked very cute in that moment.
Unlike Asta who declared it boldly, Yuno wasn't the type to shout from the high heavens, but was able to get her point across even if it felt difficult for her.
"Yeah, we could go around together Yuno-san. I'd love to."
Yuno slowly nods, her cheeks turning even more red than before.
The day of the exams came, so Venta, Yami and Finral all took off together towards the stadium in Kikka where the examinees will be coming to see if they have the ability to become Magic Knights. Finral's eyes went towards the girls that were greeting them towards the large stadium, Yami didn't look pleased, while Venta casually waved his hand to the passing people.
"Aah, here you are, lovely ladies~"
The girls blushed and accepted the flowers that Finral summoned.
A girl then came towards Venta, and did a peace sign.
"Can I have your autograph?"
"Sure~"
Venta posed with the same peace sign and wrote an autograph.
Yami let out a small laugh.
"Well, it seems that we're getting a kinder greeting than normal. Perhaps its because of how you kicked that Kirsch's ass. Remember that Venta? That was so damn sweet, got one up on that damn sleepy head."
Venta gave a curious stare as they continued walking through the area.
Going into the stadium itself, Venta saw a good number of people all scattered around. All hopefuls for the Magic Knights. He could sense some strong people, some not so strong, and some that he thought wouldn't be able to be picked by certain groups by the way they were acting by either trying to intimidate people, or generally looking down on others, something Venta shook his head at as they continued on.
While doing so, Venta caught the sight of Asta, and Yuno seemingly waiting around. Lots of Anti Birds flocked around Asta, which he thought was rather funny, seeing the birds pulling on her face, and staying on her body.
As for Yuno, no Anti Bird could be seen at all, which Venta thought was rather impressive to say the least.
"Damn it..."
Yami began, gaining Venta's attention.
"What is it Captain?"
"I need the toilet."
"You do huh...erm, I think there's one if we keep going and towards the right."
Yami growled, and went to move, when Asta came running up.
Because she was trying to get away from the Anti Birds, she crashed into Yami, who's eyes shot for the young girl.
"Sorry about that~"
Asta apologized, but Yami's intense gaze fell onto the young girl.
"Have you got a death wish or something girl?"
Asta's cheery face suddenly dropped, as Yami released a scary aura around him.
Most in the area felt the intimidation.
Besides Venta and few others that were used to Yami's ways.
Asta looked over Yami's intimidating appearance.
But thought that appearances could be deceiving so she placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Wow, you look really old for your age!"
Venta sweat dropped at Asta's words.
But that only made Yami look on with more rage than before.
His hand went out, and grasped the top of Asta's head, bringing her up with a single hand.
"Looks like I was right about the death wish."
"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!"
Asta let out a cute cry, and shook side to side, wanting to escape the large man.
Venta released a breath and stepped in.
"Captain, if you don't let her go, you might actually kill her."
"That's fine, take care of the paper work necessary."
Venta sweat dropped as Yami squeezed Asta's head tightly.
When he went to intervene, Asta instead placed her hands to the hand holding her up in the air, and began trying to pry his fingers away from her.
Yami was caught by surprise that she'd try that, and even being able to begin moving his fingers at all with just strength was absurd in his eyes.
"Seriously Captain, it wouldn't look good if you killed a hopeful for the exams."
Yami scowled, and dropped Asta's head who let out a cute cry.
"I guess that you're right. So, where's the damn bathroom huh?"
"Lets go, I'll show you. The exams are about to start anyway."
Yami looked once more at Asta who flinched as she held her head from the pain she felt.
"You're lucky, you got a second chance at life. Be thankful to my Vice Captain, don't waste this chance now."
Yami then began to walk off.
Venta looked at the downed Asta, so he bent down and petted her head, using some Healing Magic that he knew.
"There you go, all gone Asta-san."
Asta heard his voice, it sounded like an Angel to Asta.
Her eyes shot up, and saw Venta so close, and her face burst into a bright smile.
"Venta-kun!"
"Good to see you here Asta-san, good luck. I'll be watching."
"Yes! Leave it to me!"
Venta waved, and followed after his Captain.
As he did, Finral's eyes caught the sight of Asta, and thought that she was pretty cute.
So he went over and pulled out some flowers for her.
"Here you are, charming lady."
Asta looked at the flowers, and then towards Finral's face.
Tilting her head in a cute manner, Asta shook her head.
"I can't, I'm already engaged!"
Finral's face dropped.
"Y-You are?!"
"Yup! I got engaged about six months ago to my future husband! Aah, he really is amazing, and kind and handsome and I really want to get married as soon as possible~!" Asta's eyes caught the sight of a leaving Venta and her face burst into a bright smile. "There he is! Future husband! Over here! Tell this guy that we're engaged, okay?!"
Finral's, and a number of other peoples faces dropped.
Even Yuno's mouth became agape when Asta just yelled that out.
"VENTA-KUN IS YOUR FUTURE HUSBAND!?"
Finral couldn't hold back his voice.
Venta gave an awkward stare, and waved to Asta, who energetically waved right back towards him.
"Yup! That's my hubby!"
"H-Hubby?!"
Finral snapped, Asta once again nodded with a grin on her face.
"Yeah, he's my hubby! See, my dream is for us both to be Magic Knights, and then we can cook together, and sit down on a couch and discuss our day while we cuddle and kiss! Ooh yeah, he's also going to become the Wizard King to my Wizard Queen!"
Finral felt like his mind and body were becoming dissuaded from one another.
While he did, Yuno looked on and then looked down at herself, and wished that she could be as open as Asta about what it was that she was feeling.
But for the moment, it seemed to be quite the difficult task.
While waiting for his Captain outside of the bathroom and Finral having gone on ahead, Venta saw that Mimosa was walking closer together with Noelle.
It seemed that they'd be taking the exams together. As royals, especially Mimosa more than Noelle due to family situations, they'd not really have to do this, but they seemed determined.
"Girls, I was wondering when you'd come. So, are you both ready?"
Venta asked, Noelle and Mimosa looked at one another, before nodding.
"Yes, we're ready Venta-san. My brother had a few things to say, and wasn't pleased a royal was taking the exam like this...but, he stopped when I mentioned your name~"
Mimosa smiled brightly, while Noelle nodded.
"Yes, these past six months, I've trained hard, I want to show everyone...what I can do now."
Venta could see it probably would be hard, considering Nozel would be there, and wondered how he'd go about it.
"Then I'll be cheering for both of you. From what I can tell, you've got great chances from being put into just about any squad."
"Do you think?"
Mimosa asked, Venta nodded.
"Of course, any squad would be happy to have you."
Noelle smiled, and thought about what squad she'd join if she had the chance.
Mimosa did as well, and pulled back.
"We should go, see you there Venta-san~"
"Don't you mean Venta-kun?"
Noelle asked teasingly, Mimosa's face flew through several shades of red.
"W-What? I-I erm...I..."
She poked her fingers together shyly, while Venta raised a brow.
"You wanna call me Venta-kun, Mimosa-san?" Mimosa shyly nods. "Sure, I don't mind what people call me, whatever they want."
"I-I see...then Venta-kun...we'll be waiting!"
Mimosa turned and ran away at high speeds, Noelle released a small breath.
"See you there."
"Yeah, see you soon Noelle-san. Remember what you've learned, and you'll ace the exam."
Noelle gave a strong nod, and walked off, while Venta continued waiting for his Captain.
After the bathroom business, Venta and Yami went towards the area all of the Captains would sit. As they arrived, Finral who went ahead of them pushed Venta's arm to gain his attention.
"What is it?"
"You're engaged?"
As soon as Finral said that, Charlotte's eyes shot for the pair of them.
Dorothy also did something similar, but she didn't open her eyes.
"Asta-san proposes to me a lot."
"Eeeh, but you can't be engaged! Who's going to be the best man huh?!"
Venta sweat dropped, and murmured "Could you please not yell that out?" while seeing that Nebra had arrived with her elder brother, and it was clear that she didn't look happy in the slightest. Even Charlotte looked as if she was having a somewhat mental confliction within her.
"If he has a best man, that's me."
Yami spoke up from his seat, Finral pushed closer, and shook his head.
"No Captain, it really should be someone closer in age!"
"Are you saying I'm old you little shit?"
Finral cringed, and pulled away, while Venta released a breath.
"I'm not even engaged, and people are picking things out for me already."
"We have to Venta, but the Prickly Queen might be sad if you are engaged."
"W-What?"
Venta murmured, Yami smirked.
"Don't worry about that for now."
Finral looked over Yami and thought "The only reason Yami-san knows about Captain Charlotte is because I told him..." and while thinking about it, Charlotte's eyes looked over Yami and Venta.
The former she didn't look so happy with.
The latter on the other hand she seemed to be looking rather happy with.
Venta's eyes caught the sight of the other Captain's appearance, one being that of Dorothy who opened her arms and gestured towards Venta.
He chuckled lightly, and declined politely, promising to do so later on.
Kirsch was also stood nearby his Captain.
Though when he saw Venta, a mixture of worry and curiosity came over him.
No longer was their doubts about who was stronger, it was clear now that Kirsch respected Venta's strength, and even had some fear within him. But a more comical fear than an actual true deep fear within him.
His eyes also caught Charlotte who looked directly at him.
Their eyes met for a brief moment, and Charlotte remained stoic…
But inside she was having a hard battle within.
"Calm down Charlotte, you expected him to be here, so you're prepared..." As she thought, Venta waved, with a gentle smile, causing Charlotte's heart to increase in beats, faster than she had predicted. "N-No, I can't lose composure here! That smile is too cute! Don't give in Charlotte, don't give in!"
Venta looked on, seeing that Charlotte hadn't waved back, and tilted his head, before shrugging.
As he did, Nebra's eyes went towards Venta with a smirk appearing on her lips.
"My, it seems that Venta-kun is looking very delectable today..."
"What are you saying Nebra?"
Nozel asked, Nebra's face dropped, and she gave a wave of her hand as she laughed it off.
"Haha, I don't know what you're saying big brother."
Nozel gave her a strange look before shaking his head, and watched as Captain of the Golden Dawn came into view. The man wore a fancy looking mask that covered the top half of his face. Many wondered why that was, but few ever asked.
The man's name was William Vangeance.
Venta wished to fight him one day.
As he was the closest person that could become the Wizard King.
Though Venta knew his Magic, World Tree Magic was tough, Venta wondered how it would go against his Gravity Magic, and which would come out on top of one another.
Venta also thought that William was a pretty good guy, compared to a good number of people that he had met before, William was a man that Venta could respect, and so he listened as he spoke to the examinees.
"Welcome all, to the Magic Knight Exam. For this Exam, I'll be taking the lead so please listen carefully."
As he spoke, he brought out his Grimoire, and places his hand high.
Within the sky, a large Magic energy gathered, which formed into the shape of an upside down tree, that carried many brooms on them.
Venta looked down towards Asta, seeing that she was stood with a guy that he didn't know.
Though the boys eyes he saw looked rather sinister.
Not evil exactly, but it was clear that he had some sort of an agenda.
"The exams will be tough for Asta-san. She can't use Magic, so flying is out of the question and the other ones, I'm sure she wouldn't really be able to do either. However, the last part of the exam would be a good chance for her to show what she's got. With her Anti Magic, she should be able to defeat a good few people here, based on what I can sense alone. And on the other side, Yuno-san I think has this in the bag, she's strong and she's got excellent control over her Mana, same for Mimosa-san. Even Noelle-san with her control over Mana being better now she should ace this...wait, where is Noelle-san? I can see Mimosa-san..."
As he was thinking about it, William continued speaking about the exam, and what to expect from said exam.
Asta looked at the broom, as did Yuno. The man that was near Asta also looked at his, and gave a slight smirk.
He then took into the sky, as he declared "Look at me, the great Sekke!" in an arrogant way.
Venta shook his head, and saw Yuno take off into the sky.
While doing it, she stood on it fully up.
Mimosa also took off into the air, and stayed afloat, waving to Venta who waved right back.
Asta on the other hand…
"Up! Up! Come on, up!"
Venta thought that it went as expected.
As he did, he noticed Nozel stand and leave the area, Venta wondered where he was going.
"That one isn't even able to fly."
Fuegoleon spoke towards Jack who laughed to himself.
"I hope she can fight! I don't care about broom flying!"
Venta gave an intrigued stare, while Charlotte looked over Yuno.
"She does seem pretty good."
As Charlotte said it, Yuno's eyes went towards Venta.
The young man smiled in her direction and mouthed "You're doing very well Yuno-san." something that she caught, and couldn't help but allow a small smile to appear on her gentle lips.
But Venta was still perplexed on Noelle was, so he excused himself to go and find her, hoping that she was okay due to Nozel being there.
Meanwhile, Noelle was stood off in the shadows, as she watched the various people flying around. Because they were doing the exam, Noelle looked on and clutched a broom within her hand, as she simply stared on at them.
But then she pulled out the wand that Venta had given to her, and gazed at it.
"Okay Noelle...remember what he said...and you'll be fine..."
Seeing the colour, and remembering what support, courage he had given her, she went to step out to do the exams herself.
However, while she was doing that, her brother Nozel came into view.
Noelle felt some panic grow within her.
Nozel's cold eyes went towards her as he moved closer.
"Noelle, what are you doing here? Royals don't need to do this, and you hold no talent for it anyway."
Noelle's eyes looked down, while Nozel pulled closer.
"I...I wanted to try out for the exams and…"
Noelle tried to gather her thoughts.
But Nozel spoke as Venta came walking over.
"That wand, it belongs to that boy that's now the Vice Captain of the Black Bulls, doesn't it?"
Venta paused, and stepped behind a pillar to see what Nozel was going to say and hid his presence as much as possible.
Noelle was surprised that Nozel even knew that to be the case.
"Y...Yes that's right. It belongs to him."
"Why would he give it to you?"
Noelle fiddled with her fingers, and thought about what would be the best thing to say.
"...He's been helping me."
"But that's a waste of time. A weak talentless girl like you doesn't need to have dreams of joining the Magic Knights. You don't have the ability to fight alongside those that can fight. You're best to give up now."
Hearing that from Nozel was rather surprising.
He didn't think Nozel would say such things to Noelle.
"But I've...I've been practising and I've been...improving. Look, my Grimoire..."
Noelle pulled out her Grimoire.
But Nozel slapped it aside, which caused the book to fall out of her hand and land on the floor.
Venta's eyes shot for Nozel as the man himself spoke words that cut deep.
"You're the reason our Mother died, so your existence itself is unnecessary."
Noelle's eyes began to form tears, while Venta stepped out from behind a pillar.
When he did, Nozel and Venta's eyes met one another, and their Magical energy began to show itself.
"Captain Nozel, is there something currently going on here?"
While being respectful of the rank, the fact that he had said such a horrible thing to Noelle, it really had angered Venta a good deal, and now he could understand more of what Noelle's life was like if her brother openly said that.
He kept his anger down though the best that he could do, knowing releasing it now would be something he couldn't do, even though it was quite hard to keep his anger down.
"Nothings happening. Why are you here?"
Nozel shot back, as Venta's eyes glanced towards Noelle.
He saw that she was visibly shaking, so he rested a hand on her shoulder, it felt comforting to the young girl.
"Because I'm here to check on Noelle-san, that's all."
Nozel raised a brow, then turned, and murmured "There's no need." while Venta watched him walk away.
Once he disappeared, Venta bent down and picked up her Grimoire.
Holding it tightly in his hand, he presented it towards Noelle.
"Here, your Grimoire."
Noelle looked at her book, tears still fresh in her eyes.
"T-Thanks..."
Venta overlooked Noelle, and saw how she gave a pained look.
Seeing the pain and sadness, Venta pulled closer, and patted the top of her head.
"It's okay, you can let it out."
"I-I'm a royal, and..."
Her voice was crackling.
Clear that she felt disheartened, in pain at what was being said.
"What? Royals aren't allowed to cry when they're in pain? Crying isn't a weakness, you know?"
"N-No?"
"No, crying is a healthy way to let out your feelings when you're in pain, when you're sad. I know what your brother said was way out of line, so don't listen to him Noelle-san."
While he didn't know the circumstances behind Noelle's Mothers death, he couldn't see how it could possibly be Noelle's fault at all. Of course he didn't know, but from what he knew of Noelle, the only way she could have been was if she was indirectly, and even then it wasn't her fault at all.
Noelle's teary eyes went towards Venta's own.
Soon she silently cried, so he brought her close, and allowed her head to rest on his shoulder, petting the back of her head in a comforting manner.
"Venta-kun..."
"Hmmmm?"
"...The Black Bulls, are they...are they like you?"
"Like me...well, I guess in the way that they accept others no matter who or where they came from." Venta offered his hand. "Come, lets go, I'll be with you. Show them how amazing you are, Noelle-san."
Noelle's eyes looked directly into his own, as she felt her heart beat rapidly increasing.
"...Thank you, Venta-kun."
Noelle nodded, and took his hand.
As she did, she felt a sudden redness erupting onto her cheeks as they began walking off together.
When arriving back at the viewing area of the Captains, Venta watched as Noelle came walking out.
Nebra looked on, and didn't say anything, as Noelle took the broom, and began flying on it.
Nozel was surprised Noelle was capable of even doing that, and how well she was doing it as well.
Nebra on the other hand silently smiled to herself, surprised even herself by how happy she felt.
"That Noelle girl, seems like she finally made an appearance."
Yami commented, Venta nodded with a smile.
"It seems that she did."
Venta was proud of her, knowing it took a lot to do this in front of Nozel in particular, but she was doing it, and she was doing her best which Venta thought was amazing.
Then after going through the other parts of the exam which all of the girls minus Asta aced, the finals came about, with William explaining how they'd be fighting one on one matches.
Asta begins to panic, wondering who would be her opponent.
But then as luck would have it, Sekke came closer, and placed a hand on Asta's shoulder.
"Bah-ha, don't worry, I'll be your opponent."
"Really?!"
Asta said with starry eyes.
But Sekke smirks, and leans closer.
"I only picked you because you're a weak peasant." As he spoke, Asta remained silent, while Venta raised an eyebrow. "I only hung around you to make myself look better. So thanks for being so worthless girl. Now I'll crush you in this and become a Magic Knight. Enjoy being a peasant forever."
Asta looks on, but didn't say a thing.
Not being able to believe the nice Sekke was suddenly being quite cruel and vindictive.
Asta stayed silent as she and Sekke were called up to the small arena that had been set up.
Asta's eyes went towards all of the Mage's, and then towards the Captains.
When she saw Venta stood there, giving her a strong smile, she perked up and did the same thing back, and simply gave a thumbs up towards him.
Yami caught it, and looked back towards Venta.
"So you think she's got this?"
"Against that guy there, more than likely."
"But you said before that she didn't have any Magic, so what makes you say that she can win?"
"She doesn't have traditional forms of Magic. But she does have the very counter to all Magic."
Yami was super intrigued to see what this was.
"And by that you mean..."
"Anti Magic."
Yami blinked at the words, but then smirked and watched as the match began.
Sekke formed a cannon ball around his body from his Bronze Magic, and declared to Asta boldly.
"Bah-ha! With this, my body will be protected. It is the ultimate defence, so throw whatever meagre attack you've got alright?"
Asta gave a strong nod.
"Alright, I'll give it my all!"
Asta reveals her Grimoire which floats beside her.
She then allowed it to open, and produced a sword from the book.
As she did, Venta noticed Williams eyes going towards the Grimoire itself, focusing in on it intensely for a few moments, before looking away, Venta raised an eyebrow at that.
Sekke looks over the blade, and continues to laugh at the sight.
"Nice sword, is it supposed to be scary?"
"It's supposed to cut through all Magic!"
Asta replied, as Yami witnessed her take a stance with the blade. Stomping onto the ground hard, Asta lifted her heavy sword as if it weighed nothing at all, Sekke's eyes went towards Asta, amused at first.
But that soon turned to dread as Asta kicked off the ground, and shot for Sekke at an alarming rate.
"So this is what you meant Venta."
Yami said as Asta brought down her sword.
As if the dome like Bronze Magic wasn't there, Asta's sword cleaved right through the spell, and because Sekke was stunned due to Asta being able to do that, she also continued on with her sword, flipping it so the large sword came down without slicing Sekke in two, smashed him from the top of his body and buried him into the ground.
"Yeah, isn't her power amazing?"
"Amazing yes, but I highly doubt any of the others will take her in."
Venta could understand why.
"What about you Captain?"
"Haven't made up my mind yet. I've got one final test to see if she's truly worthy."
"Hehe, I see. Then I can't wait to see what you've got in store for her Captain."
Yami shares a small smirk with Venta who smiles right back down.
Asta's hand then tightened, as she turns up towards Venta, grinning away.
"Alright Asta-san! Good job!"
Venta smiled at the young girl, looking around to see the shocked reactions of those around.
Because of the intense attack, Sekke's consciousness couldn't be maintained, and he fell unconscious there and then.
Asta cups her hands with stars in her eyes.
"Aaah! Thank you Venta-kun!" Asta then faces the others, and declares boldly. "With that, I'm one step closer to becoming Wizard Queen! With my Wizard King!"
Mimosa blinked as she thought "Who's her Wizard King?" while Noelle saw her starry eyes going for Venta.
With the people doubting Asta's claims, the young girl was quickly hurried to the side.
The next match was Yuno fighting against a man with lightning magic. Venta could feel a good deal of power coming from the man, but Yuno's was a lot more than that man's, who allowed lightning to flow all around him.
"Peasant girl, you're trying to go into the land of royals and nobles, I'll have to show you that this isn't for the weak. Your friend there got lucky, because that Sekke was a fool. But me, I am going to show you the incredible power of a noble."
Venta rolled his eyes, as Yami murmured "Jackass." Venta sharing very similar feelings regarding him as well.
Yuno's eyes went towards Venta, and showed a calm expression.
"Venta-kun, are you watching right now?"
"Yes, that's right."
Asta's eyebrow twitched.
"Hey Yuno! Don't try anything with Venta-kun!"
Yuno's eyes went towards Asta briefly, before dismissing her to the girls annoyance.
Her eyes then went back towards the man before her, who summoned lightning all around his form.
"Are you watching? Oh I see, a girl with a crush. That's so sweet. But he's a Black Bull, so he's on the loser squad."
Yami's rage induced eyes shot for him.
"Captain don't worry, Yuno-san's about to kick his ass."
Yami paused, and then calmed as he thought about this man being destroyed by the girl before them.
"Heh, now that's a sight I wanna see."
Venta was glad he calmed down.
The man's lightning formed an orb of wild electricity that sprung out harshly. Bigger than half of his body, the man's lightning sphere was something that some thought would destroy Yuno thanks to the incredible power it was releasing.
But, to Venta and the other experienced Magic Knights, they knew that wasn't the case.
"Lightning Magic, God of Lightning Rising Salim!"
"Who's Salim?"
Yami asked, Venta shrugged.
"Guess that's him."
"Heh, Salim is on my list. Add him to the list Venta."
Venta raised an eyebrow.
The seemingly named Salim then fired off his large lightning sphere.
Yuno, undeterred by what she was seeing, allowed her Grimoire to open and reveal a spell inside.
"Wind Magic, Towering Tornado."
From before her being, a huge tornado of wind erupted. The towering tornado was able to act as both offence and defence. Blocking Salim's attack, the lightning was rapidly spun into nothingness, before Yuno flicked her hand forward.
Doing that, the tornado was sent forward, spreading out, and the man known as Salim was caught up in said tornado. Unable to fight against it, the winds carried him around rapidly over and over again, damaging the man to a good degree.
Spreading out all around Yuno herself, she watched as Salim's eyes closed due to the attack, so she stopped the attack, and caused the man to drop down to the ground.
Everyone in the area were shocked.
Even Asta was at how fast Yuno did her attack and won.
Yuno's eyes went towards Venta once more.
"Venta-kun, did you see? I've grown stronger."
"Yes, you've grown amazingly well, Yuno-san."
Asta scowled at her childhood friend/adopted sister.
"Yunooooo! Why do you want Venta-kun to see you specifically?!"
Yuno looked towards Asta, before turning her head towards the right hand side.
"That's my concern Asta."
"It's because you want him, isn't it?! Don't forget about me and Sister Lily!"
"She's a nun, she can't get married."
Saying it with logic, Asta face faulted, while Venta lightly laughed to himself.
But beside him, he could see Nebra grinding her teeth.
"Two commoners fighting over darling when he clearly wants me..." Nebra paused, and huffed. "I don't even want him anyway."
Venta rolled his eyes as Yami gave a small smirk.
"Seems like the girl is strong."
"Yes, she's very strong, four leaf clover, and incredible Wind Magic."
"Yeah...she'd be a good cooling fan wouldn't she?"
Venta sweat dropped, seeing Yami being mostly playful with that.
The next match was Noelle herself, and she was going up against a Mage that controlled Ice Magic. The man had confidence on his face, while Noelle felt the eyes of her brother burning onto her.
Mimosa looked on with worry, while she thought Noelle was very capable, she also did worry for her cousin.
"Noelle is going up huh..."
Nebra began, Nozel lowered his brows.
"This is a waste of time, Noelle can't win."
Venta glanced at Nozel, seeing the coldness on his face.
But something else in his eyes.
Almost...worry, and Venta wasn't sure what to make of Nozel right now.
When the match was called, the man scoffed at Noelle.
"Don't worry girl, you wont have to worry, I'll beat you in five seconds." Noelle sharpened her brows. "My Ice will freeze your water, so be prepared girl!"
As he yelled, an icy mist danced around him, while Noelle clutched her wand tightly.
She felt nervous under the gaze of her brother, and felt the confidence she had before melting away.
That was until Venta then moved to the edge and called out.
"Noelle-san! Finish this guy in one shot! You've got this!"
Nozel looked towards Venta, shocked that he'd say such a thing.
Yami smirked, and nodded.
Charlotte looked over, and saw the passion in his eyes, and that was something she liked.
Noelle looked at the wand she had, and then towards Venta.
With renewing passion, she gave an affirmative nod.
"Right, one shot."
Noelle then turned towards the Ice Mage, and placed her wand before her.
The Ice Mage looked baffled.
"Eh? You've gained confidence now? Doesn't help! Ice Magic, Freezing Wave!"
Shooting out his ice magic in a straight line like a wave, Noelle gathered her magic at the tip of the wand. Swishing water formed a more and more larger sphere as Noelle called out.
"Water Magic, Sea Dragon's Waterball!"
Creating a large sphere in front of her, larger than her body, the water shot out at a relatively good speed.
The power behind it though, as soon as the water was hit by the ice, it simply shattered.
"W-What the hell?! My ice!"
Nothing could be done to the water, the ices freezing potential couldn't match the rapid waters that came for it, each time it froze a little bit, the rapid waters completely destroyed the ice.
Then with all his attempts failed, the large water sphere made contact with the Ice Mage.
"Be gone!"
Noelle yelled out.
The rampaging sphere, was controlled by Noelle perfectly.
It didn't do anything she didn't want it to do.
"...She's controlling her Magic to such a high degree..."
Nozel was stunned, while Venta smiled, seeing Noelle's water sphere slam into the ground, and erupt, doing enough blunt force trauma that the man wasn't able to stay composed for long, and ended up unconscious within a crater in the ground, twitching every so once in a while.
As Noelle had said, she finished it in one shot.
The Captains that saw Noelle began mumbling to themselves, and were taken by surprise, a good surprise at that to see what she was capable of doing.
"Whoa! She's really strong! Amazing!"
Asta yelled out, Yuno nodded.
"Yes, it seems she's very strong after all, impressive."
Noelle heard those, and more positive comments come her way, and she wasn't used to people being so positive around her, but it felt good to her.
Noelle was then rushed by Mimosa who hugged her tightly.
"Noelle! That was amazing!"
Noelle smiled and thanked Mimosa, as her eyes went towards Venta.
He smiled and mouthed "Well done, Noelle-san." which caused Noelle to tear up, but for very good happy reasons this time, as someone believed in her, helped her achieve this that she knew she'd not do on her own as she had tried.
Even making Nozel be stunned, it was something that she never thought she'd happen, at least not thanks to her.
Then finally, it was Mimosa's turn to fight.
Kirsch who had been mostly silent until now, suddenly burst to life.
"My little sister! Come on Mimosa, show them your power!"
Mimosa felt so embarrassed and looked at her brother.
"Big brother, please calm down."
"Eh? What's wrong Mimosa? Don't worry, you have amazing beauty that your boyfriend would adore~"
Mimosa felt super embarrassed, while Noelle murmured "Did he basically just admit to Venta-kun being her boyfriend?" with a raised eyebrow, while Mimosa gave a dramatic sigh.
"Please stop saying weird things..."
"Eh? But didn't you want me to praise you and your boyfriend-"
"PLEASE STOP SAYING BOYFRIEND!"
Mimosa cried out, while Venta gave a curious stare.
But then, a man with Stone Magic came up to her.
"You're my fight?"
Mimosa turned towards him, flabbergasted, but nodded.
"Yes, that's right."
"Don't worry, I'll go easy on you."
He said in a semi patronizing tone, Mimosa took it in stride.
"I'd advise not to, but if that's how you wish to fight then I cannot stop you."
Mimosa's words caused the man to blink.
He seemed perplexed that she wished him to go his strongest.
But then the match started.
The man with Stone Magic raised his hand.
"Then I'll start and like that girl, finish you in one shot. Stone Magic, Stony Sword!"
Creating a piece of stone in the air in the shape of a large stone sword, he launched it at Mimosa.
Mimosa sharpened her gaze, remembered what Venta taught her, and waved her hand out before her.
As she did, a good number of plants came out, and created a shield, blocking the stone sword, it didn't even penetrate the shield all that much before it fell down to the ground in a pile.
The Stone Mage looked stunned.
"H-How about this?! Stone Magic, Many Stony Swords!"
Going for quantity rather than quality, they came at her with a good amount of speed, and force behind them.
Mimosa placed her hands out, and created plant like vines, and they shot out.
"M-My swords!? How can your plants move my stone swords so well?!"
Using them like whips, she slammed hard into some of the stone swords, and changed their direction, causing them to crash into the other stone swords, completely stopping the momentum of the attacks that was fired at Mimosa and crumble to the ground in broken pieces of stone.
Venta blinked at how she did it, as Yami spoke up.
"Heh, reminds me of how you use Gravity Venta. Someone's been paying close attention to you."
Venta smiled lightly.
"Seems so."
Venta watched as Mimosa reinforced her legs with Mana, and then shot forward at blinding speeds.
Crossing the distance, the Stone Mage was surprised as Mimosa released a large plant up close and personal.
"What the hell?!"
Grabbing the man's body, he was hauled up high into the air.
"I'm sorry, this is the end."
"W-Wait! What?!"
Mimosa placed her hand down.
Following that, the plant holding the Stone Mage whipped the man down from such a high area, and at impressive speeds.
The incredible speed and power even stunned Kirsch as Mimosa usually was more of a healer type, but managed to pull that off within a moments notice.
The ground fractured around the man's body from the heavy impact, as his eyes closed, falling unconscious.
Mimosa pulled back, and bowed her head, as Venta's smile grew.
Mimosa looked up towards Venta.
He smiled down and gave a strong nod, which Mimosa blushed at, and bowed her head once more, as Noelle came over, and high fived her.
"We both did it."
"Yes...we did."
The girls smiled at one another, and walked off, as the Captains observing Mimosa were impressed by what they saw.
Soon the exams end, and then the nine Squad Captains begin going through the candidates.
Asta looked on with some worry, while Yuno remained calm and collected.
The more that people got rejected, with no one raising their hands, the more Asta felt her dreams weren't going to come true.
Some did manage to get through.
But most seemed to not make the cut, which felt disheartening to them.
Soon, however it was Noelle's turn.
She took a step forward, and looked up.
She didn't say anything as she watched Captain after Captain raise their hands.
Charlotte, Dorothy, Yami, Jack even, and others raised their hands, the only one that didn't was Nozel.
Noelle was blown away, she didn't think this would happen.
"It seems nearly every Captain has raised their hands. So who would you like to choose?"
William asked with intrigue.
Noelle looked between all of them.
She thought hard about it.
But then her eyes rested on one squad in particular.
One that she couldn't get her mind off of.
"Before I say my choice...I'd like to say, this wouldn't have been possible, if I didn't receive help from Venta-kun, who's supported me, and taught me how to use my Mana...I'd still be trying to control my Magic if it wasn't for him. And I...I am so grateful, even when I wasn't sure I could...Venta-kun, you still helped me, and what I achieved today, was because of what you helped teach me to do." As she spoke fondly, Nozel's eyes went towards Venta, and gave a curious stare, as Noelle continued. "So, if it is okay, then I'd like to join the Black Bulls."
Yami blinked, as did the others.
They weren't expecting that at all.
Nozel looked over towards Venta, and then towards Noelle, his eyes dancing between them with conflicted emotions.
Yami pulled forward, and showed a strong fist.
"Really? Hah, alright then, welcome to my squad."
Yami said with delight.
Noelle bowed her head.
"Thank you." Noelle walked off to the side, where Mimosa looked surprised. "If you're wondering why I chose the Black Bulls...I know they don't have the best reputation...but, it doesn't matter to me. It might have done before...I can't explain it, but seeing Venta-kun in the Black Bulls and so strong... I want to keep learning from Venta-kun...and I...I also wish to work together with him too. Venta-kun said the Black Bulls are accepting...and I think going to them, is going to be good for me."
Mimosa understood now, what was going through Noelle's mind.
"I see...yes, I understand Noelle. I'm sure that you'll learn even more and become incredibly powerful."
"Mimosa...thank you for introducing us, Venta-kun and I, I mean."
Mimosa shook her head.
"No, it's okay, I'm glad he was able to help you."
"Yes...he has."
Mimosa looked at Noelle, seeing a small redness to her face, and to Mimosa at least, it seemed clear that she was developing, or even having already developed some feelings for Venta, a feeling that she knew she shared.
The other hopefuls kept going, with people getting rejected, and some getting into the squads.
Then it was Yuno's turn.
As she stepped forward, the Captains around the same time raised their hands.
Not just one or two.
But all of them.
Venta wasn't surprised, and could see Finral looking around.
"Damn, all of them."
"Yeah, everyone wishes to have such a talent."
Yuno looked towards all of them, and wondered which would be the best.
She wanted to pick the Black Bulls, mostly because Venta was in it.
However, there also was a reason why she didn't want to do that, to show her growth and be as strong as possible, and even show Venta one day her strength, as well as Asta, so her eyes went through them all, until landing on William.
"I choose the Golden Dawn."
Upon hearing that, Williams face turned into a small smile.
"Then welcome to the Golden Dawn."
Venta watched as Yuno bowed, and walked to the side.
Then it was Asta's turn.
He looked towards each of them, but no Captain raised their hands.
Venta understood why that was.
Asta's eyes went up towards Venta, and she displayed a sad look.
He wished that he could accept her into the Black Bulls.
But it wasn't up to him.
It was Yami's final decision after all.
"Captain..."
Yami raised a hand so Venta watched on silently, knowing his Captain had an idea on what to say next.
He leaned forward, and stared at Asta.
"Girl, do you know why they haven't chosen you?" Asta remained silent as Yami began standing up. "It's because they don't know the source of your power, and because you don't possess any magical powers. They wont take a chance on you."
While speaking, Yami jumped down towards Asta.
Meeting together with one another, Yami gave an intimidating stare.
His Magic flowed around him, and though Asta couldn't sense it in the traditional sense, she could feel the waves of it with her body.
Even then, she tightened her hand and stared boldly at the elder man.
"Even if…even if they don't accept me now! I'll come back, again and again! Until I become the Wizard Queen with my Wizard King, I can't stop! Even if I fail all of the time. Eventually I will succeed!"
Yami was taken aback for a few moments.
But then adopted a small smirk on his lips.
"Is that so?"
"Yes! That's right!"
Hearing the response, Yami laughed, and turned towards Venta.
"You're right, she is different."
"Yes, she surely is Captain."
Yami turned his neck back to Asta, and presented a hand towards her.
"I like you kid, so come and join my squad."
Asta's eyes turned teary.
The thought of being accepted into a squad.
Not just any squad, but the squad of her 'future husband', it was the most delightful that she could feel.
"Yes! I want to be a Black Bull!"
"Heh, alright then kid, welcome to the Black Bulls."
When that was said, Venta looked relieved.
Glad that Asta's dream didn't have to die out now.
The same for Yuno who was glad that a squad chose Asta.
And with Venta, she didn't have to worry about Asta getting into too much trouble.
Once Asta had been accepted into the Black Bulls, she suddenly got down on one knee, and her eyes shot up towards Venta. With a large smile on her face, she pulled out what seemed to be a home made ring.
While crudely made, Venta thought that it was rather cool that she had indeed made it.
"VENTA!"
Venta chuckled awkwardly, as he looked between the girl and the others now gazing towards him.
"Yes Asta-san?"
Asta with a large grin on her face, and a song in her heart, declared her feelings.
"Venta! Now that we're on the same squad, I have to confess how I feel! Because you opened my heart, I want to stay in yours always! So, please accept this ring, and marry me, so we can stay together forever!"
When she yelled that out…
The world stopped.
Charlotte's eyes glazed over, Nebra's face became angry, Dorothy looked sad, Noelle's bottom lip trembled, Mimosa looked on with a shocked face, Yuno sharpened her gaze at her rival, Finral gave a perplexed look, Yami just laughed and murmured "Damn, kids got some game." while Venta sweat dropped.
"Asta-san, to say that here..."
"It's the truth! Because you're the one that I want! Lets get married, and maybe even have a family one day! Wouldn't that be good too?!"
"A-A FAMILY?!"
Nebra yelled loudly, while Charlotte's mind was crumbling.
"Family...family...family...she wants a family with Venta...she wants a family with Venta..."
Charlotte mumbled incoherently.
"S-She wants a family with Venta-kun...a family...marriage...marrying Venta-kun..."
Mimosa shook as she spoke, it looked like she was going into shock.
Asta, not realizing what was going on, continued on.
"Yeah! Venta-kun and I will have the best family! Who will one day also take over from us being Wizard Queen and King! Aah, they'd be our Princes, and Princesses! Venta-kun, can you see it right now!?"
"That's not how it works..."
Noelle mused, while Nebra grabbed Jack by the neck, and began shaking him back and forth, not even realizing that she was restraining a Captain with her bare hands, Jack couldn't even break free from her monster strength.
"NO! IT CAN'T BE! NOT MY DARLING!"
"L-Let go! Let go!"
Jack cried out, but Nebra couldn't hear him due to the emotions she was feeling.
Dorothy stood up, and walked over to Venta.
She pulled out a note she had prepared beforehand and gave it to the young man.
Opening it, he read the contents of the letter to himself.
[Venta-kun, if you marry that girl, can I still sleep in your bed with you?]
Venta gave her a strange look, but gave a nod, Dorothy looked happy and sat back down.
Charlotte on the other hand was having a mental break.
Watching Asta run closer to Venta, and then jump up high to meet him, she took the ring that she had, and presented it to Venta once more.
Charlotte's world was crumbling down.
"Venta-kun! What do you say?! Want to become my husband!?"
Venta looked at the ring, and then at Asta's hopeful face.
Just then, Yami saw something amazing happen.
Charlotte turned to stone.
"Oh crap..."
Yami watched as Charlotte just sat there, unresponsive.
In her mind, the word "Husband...Venta...that girl..." kept repeating over and over again.
Mimosa nearly fell over, but was caught by Noelle.
"It's okay Mimosa, don't worry."
"Ehehehe...Venta-kun...and that girl...marriage...they're getting married..."
"Mimosa!"
Noelle called, but Mimosa seemed to be in her own world.
Jack eventually broke out of Nebra's grasp, and pulls away.
"Geez, you're freakishly strong when you're pissed off huh."
Nebra's dark eyes fell on him, causing even someone like Jack to shudder, which was something Yami found amazing in his own way.
"Venta-kun! Lets make a declaration right here! Then when we finally do get married, others will see not only me becoming the Wizard Queen, but gaining the best husband!"
Asta then bent down and kissed Venta's hand, and that finished off Charlotte who's stony body suddenly crumbled away, igniting worry in the others at what was truly going on with Charlotte's mind...

So the Magic Knight Exam came, and with some new competitors in Mimosa and Noelle. Both girls showed their growth, with Noelle having to deal with Nozel, Venta noticed some stuff going on with him, while also doing his best to make sure that Noelle was okay. And then they selected who they wished to go with, and Noelle choosing to go with the Black Bulls, thanks to Venta, a Black Bull himself, being the reason she was able to grow as strong as she was. Yuno chose Golden Dawn, and then Asta was chosen by Yami.
Then at the end, Asta proposed to him, and everyone had some interesting reactions to it. Charlotte especially seemed to be quite...taken aback~ Nebra as well also had a moment when she saw the proposal.
