Welcome new Black Bulls!
"I'm in my future husbands squad! I'm in my future husbands squad! Ooh yeah! I'm in my future husbands squad~!"
Dancing around Venta as she was really excited, the young Asta thrusted her hands in front of her, and moved them up and down as she balled them into fists.
Venta thought that she looked rather cute when she did it.
Noelle had been taken away with Yami who wished to have a private conversation. He presumed it was to do with the squad, and other things like that, which he thought made a good deal of sense.
Standing close by, was Yuno who watched the interactions between them and was curious as to what was going on with Asta...rather, seeing how excited she was, because Venta and she were on the same squads…
Yuno wasn't sure what to think.
"You're so excited Asta-san."
Asta moved closer, holding onto his hands as she peered up at him with a cute expression on her face.
"Of course! Because we're on the same squad, now each morning we can see each other and go about our day together! So, what are we going to do first Venta-kun? Are we going to go back to the Black Bulls to cuddle?" Her eyes went towards Yuno, who raised an eyebrow. "Aah Yuno! You also got into the Golden Dawn, right?"
"I did yes."
"Well, I hope you do well. As if you don't, I'll be kicking your butt the next time I see you!"
Yuno raised a challenging eyebrow.
"Perhaps you can try shorty, but it wont succeed with me."
"Well, while you're with the Golden Dawn, I'll be with my future husband! So have fun-"
"Venta-kun, when shall we meet next for our date?"
Asta's jaw hit the floor, while Venta gave an amused look.
"Wait, what's that about a date!?"
Asta roared like a lion at her friend/adoptive sister like figure.
Yuno glanced at Asta, and showed a slightly uninterested gaze, before turning back to Venta.
"Yes, our date. When shall we go on it Venta-kun? I'm free anytime."
"Aah, well same. Contact me, and we can set it up. For now though, are you heading to the Golden Dawn? I know Mimosa-sans already head off there. I think you'd be really good friends."
Yuno nodded slowly.
"Yes, I should be going, and yes, perhaps we will be."
"Good luck, and don't worry, though I can almost guarantee that some might say something about your status as being, what they call, a peasant. But ignore them, and show them why you deserve to be there more than anyone else in the squad."
Yuno took her Grimoire and held it to her chest.
With a strong expression on her face, she declared what she felt deep within her heart.
"Yes, I am going to show Golden Dawn what I am truly capable of. For the next time we have a fight Asta, I'll be a lot stronger than I am now. And Venta-kun, I'll also show you the extent of my power as well, and when we have a fight, I'll give you the greatest challenge."
Venta couldn't help but smile at the sight before him.
He really did find her quite endearing and he also wished to show the same right back towards her.
"I understand. Excel in Golden Dawn, and then we'll fight."
"Yes."
Asta pulled forward, and showed a strong smile to match the one that Yuno has.
"Me too! Don't worry, I'm going to fight you when I'm stronger too! My Anti Magic Swords will cut through everything that you have! Though, I wont surrender Venta-kun to you! I will be marrying him first, together with Sister Lily!"
Yuno had given up explaining why it couldn't happen like that, and instead she released a small breath.
"I will be going on a date with Venta-kun Asta, that is certain."
"Eeeeeeeeeeeeh! You're really going on one! I thought that was just trying to get under my skin!"
Yuno shook her head, and moved closer to Venta.
Allowing her soft lips to press against his cheek, he was caught by surprise while Asta ground her teeth together angrily.
"See you later Venta-kun."
Though she had a stoic face, Venta could see that her cheeks began to turn slightly red at the feeling that she had within her.
Asta watched as Yuno took off, so she huffed.
"She just kissed you Venta-kun!" Asta took his hand and then looked into his eyes. "M-Me too..."
She sounded confident at first, but she ended up feeling slightly embarrassed.
"Is that all?"
"Y-Yes!"
"If that's all, then I don't mind."
So Venta watched as she stepped onto her toes to give her the extra height.
He bent down so she could catch his cheek with her lips, which she did in one fell swoop.
Pulling back, Asta blushed up a storm at the sight before her.
"I did it! I did it Venta-kun!"
"Yes, you certainly did. So now..."
"Wait, before we go, I've got to use the bathroom!" Asta looked around the area they were in, before finding a small alleyway where it led to some toilets. "Wait here, I'll be right back okay Venta-kun?"
"Right, I'll be waiting."
Asta waved, and ran off towards the bathroom.
He waited for the girl to return, as his eyes went over some passer-bys.
One he saw was the same boy that Asta had been with for most of the day.
He believed the man's name was Sekke.
He had a sinister look on his face, so he watched as he turned towards the bathroom area, and held out his hand, as he saw a lizard appear that looked to be made out of bronze due to the nature of his Magic, Venta thought that made sense..
He could feel the Magic coming from it, so Venta followed.
"Showing me up during the exams and almost ruining my chance...not this time."
Showcasing a dark smile, the lizard in his hand went to move, when it suddenly floated up to the sky.
He didn't understand what was going on, as he saw a purple outline around it, which began compressing the lizard.
"What the hell?"
Asking more to himself than anyone else, he saw his lizard being crushed out of existence.
Not even leaving a spec of dust behind, shocking the likes of Sekke.
"You shouldn't try and attack someone because you tried to cheat your way through the Magic Knight Exam."
Sekke jumped.
His eyes turned towards Venta who slowly moved forward.
"W-What do you know?! You're on the Black Bulls!"
Sekke said it as an insult.
But Venta didn't seem to care, as he moved closer and closer.
Each step, Sekke felt like his heart was skipping beats.
As if he was worried about the outcome of what was currently happening.
"Perhaps I am, but that doesn't excuse anything you just tried to do. Considering that nothing happened, I'll let you go for the moment. Though cause anymore trouble, and I'll have to report you for what you've done here and what you could do. You got accepted into Captain Jacks squad, didn't you?"
"Y-Yeah..."
"You're going to have fun there. Now please run alone."
As he spoke, the ground and ceiling above them in the little alleyway they were in began to shake.
Like an earthquake was going on.
Sekke felt a chill go down his spine, as he saw the eyes of Venta on his form.
Despite the fact that he was smiling, there was an undercurrent of something else.
Something that he dint like and didn't want to get involved in at all.
So he cleared his throat, and began chuckling very nervously.
"Bah-ha, w-well, I guess that I could be on my way now...yes, I will have to good...go! Go, I have to go!"
Sekke brazenly rushed past Venta who gave a curious look.
Shaking his head, he waited for Asta.
Thankfully, she came out a minute later, with her hands wringing together.
"Aah, future husband. You couldn't wait for me so you came to wait here?"
"Something like that. So, are you ready?"
Asta nodded, and rushed closer.
Allowing her arm to go around his own, she placed her head on his arm.
"Ready now."
"Then lets get going."
Smiling, the pair take off together to go back to the Black Bulls.
Arriving at the Black Bulls, Venta and Asta walked into the base together. Asta, with a gleeful face, swung her arms out and yelled "Hello everyone! It's nice to meet you!" but...it didn't go the way that Asta wished for it.
Instead, they were doing their own thing.
Vanessa was getting drunk on the couch, Charmy was eating more and more food, Magna and Luck were chasing one another, as Yami was eating some of Charmy's food, Venta felt for Noelle, and could feel that she was hiding from the others. Finral was also seemingly preparing chat up lines to himself to use on some ladies.
In the corner, he could see a young man staring intently at a picture who's name was Gauche. The picture was that of a young girl, Venta always did find it very odd, and creepy when he'd nosebleed over such a picture.
Gordon also seemed to be sticking to the corner, Grey was in her large hulk like mode with smoke spreading around her, or rather right now, his form.
Asta looked perplexed, and her eyes went towards Venta.
"Eeh...they don't seem to know we're here."
"Yeah, they're like that. Don't take offence, they're caught in their own world sometimes." Venta cleared his throat, before he release his Magic, and caused the entire building to shake rapidly, causing everyone to stop. "Hey everyone! We've got a new member!"
They all paused, and looked towards Asta.
Vanessa immediately came over, and gave her her hand to hold.
"Nice to meet you, my name is Vanessa. So, are you also with Venta-kun?"
"With him?"
Asta seemed confused, so Vanessa explained it in her own unique way.
"Yes, trying to date him-"
"Eeeeeh…."
Vanessa gave a coy smile towards Venta as Asta looked perplexed.
"Don't worry so much about it, I'll sort out the details later on."
Venta raised an eyebrow as Finral moves closer.
"Hey there, so you're new-"
"Still wanting Venta-kun as my future husband!"
Asta yells out, Finral rapidly blinks, then smirks.
"Y-Yeah, got it...it's okay! I'll find another beauty!"
Venta rolls his eyes.
"His name is Finral, he's got Spatial Magic, and our Captain tends to use him as means of transportation."
Asta slowly nods, as Luck bounced closer, and showed a strong fist.
"Hey there! You're new? You look strong, wanna fight me?"
"Fighting? Well, yeah I guess-"
"Great! Then lets go!"
Luck tried to charge Asta, who blinked at how fast he was.
Before he could reach Asta, a purple sphere appeared as if out of nowhere, and began floating Luck up into the air.
"Luck-kun, don't attack the new member just yet."
Venta explained kindly, Luck pulled his signature smile out towards him.
"Can we fight?"
"Later, lets get Asta-san introduced to everyone."
"Okay!"
Venta chuckled, as he turned towards Asta.
"His names Luck, despite being a bit of a battle maniac, he's a good friend." Venta points to Gordon. "He's called Gordon, don't let appearances fool you, he's a really good person. But he does mumble a lot so you might have to listen really closely to get what he says."
"Aah, I see..."
Venta's hand then went towards the smallest member who was still eating with lots of cotton made sheep dishing out her food.
"And this is Charmy-chan, she loves to cook and her food is some of the best you'll probably ever taste." Charmy looked up, then waved to the pair as Asta waved back energetically. "Next, this is Gauche...lets see, how to describe him..."
"He's obsessed with his sister, and nose bleeds about her which is really creepy."
Yami spoke from across the room, Gauche puts his hands together.
"But Captain, she is my darling Marie-"
"Not interested."
Gauche hangs his head, as Asta laughs.
"So he's got a sister complex huh? Wow, you've got some weirdly cool teammates Venta-kun!"
Gauche scowls and tries to speak when the hulking Grey comes walking over.
Asta looks up and gasps.
"Wow! he's sooooooo tall!"
"This is... Grey. Pretty cool member, and mostly keeps to...himself."
"So like a loner then?"
"Shy type more than loner. Grey just has issues with dealing with people, but Grey's really nice."
Venta didn't reveal Grey's status, knowing that Grey wished to do it in her own time.
Venta explains, as Asta inclines her neck.
"Cool...they all have some awesome Magic, right Venta-kun!?"
"Yeah, each member of the Black Bull has some cool Magic to them. And then-"
"Wait!" Magna yells, as he charges over. "You didn't introduce me yet!"
Venta glances at Magna.
"I was about to Magna."
"You were?" Venta nodded, as Magna pulls out his Grimoire. "That doesn't matter now, because today is the day that I'm gonna be kicking your ass!"
Magna makes a bat of out fire, while Asta widens her eyes in surprise.
When he tries to swing it at Venta, Asta scowls and goes for her sword, when Venta merely waves his hand and causes gravity to shift around, allowing the bat to harmlessly dance around him, bend to the point that it lost its form and disappeared into nothingness.
"This guys called Magna. Same with Luck-kun, he's kinda into fighting, but not obsessed with it to the same degree as Luck-kun is. He might be a bit rough at times, but he's a good guy. That's it for all of the members currently here, besides the Captain of course you've met."
"So many cool members Venta-kun! So like, they're really all Magic Knights...soooooo cool!"
Venta was glad that she had the spirit she had.
It was so engaging that he couldn't get enough of it.
"So, you're the one the Captain said he'd bring?" Magna said with what seemed to be an intimidating voice. "You aren't even a member until you wear our robes! I can't see any on you anyway."
"Eh...ooh yeah! So, can I have one please?"
Asta asks Venta, but Magna cuts him off before he could say.
"Before you get one, you have to go through the squads initiation ceremony."
Venta shakes his head, as Asta gives an intrigued stare.
"What ceremony?"
Magna shows more of a smirk on his face.
"The ceremony consists of me attacking you with Magic to see if you can defend against it. If you can't, then it's goodbye to the Black Bulls!"
"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeh?! But I can't do that can I? Senpai, you really wanna shoot Magic at me?!"
"Yeah, that's right. What's wrong? Can't handle it?"
Magna thought that was the case.
But it took a surprising turn when Asta showed a relatively strong smile on her face.
"Nope, I just wanted to know if it is alright! Okay, I accept!"
Venta gave a bemused smile at the sight, while Magna chuckled to himself.
"Alright then, lets go outside to see if you can do it."
"Yes Senpai!"
Venta quite liked the respectful way that she spoke, as they all began heading outside.
When they left, Venta called out.
"Noelle-san, why are you hiding?"
Noelle stiffened in the place that she was.
But then she gave a dignified look as she came out of her hiding place.
"I was just observing, that's all."
Despite showing confidence on her face, her eyes told the true story.
What she was feeling deep inside of her.
"You're nervous, aren't you?"
Noelle paused when he said that.
"A-About what?"
"If they'd accept you."
Noelle was astonished that he said something like that.
It was something that she thought about.
Due to her family…
She knew that it would be okay.
But some doubt within her always crept in and she wasn't able to make it stop so easily.
Noelle ran a hand through her hair as she spoke up.
"W-Well, it isn't like the thought hadn't crossed my mind. But, it is..."
Noelle couldn't find the right words to say.
She wasn't sure what she was supposed to say.
Venta walked closer, as he could hear yelling going on outside.
He moved to the right hand side of her, were her eyes went towards his own.
"You don't have to worry about it, they aren't going to dismiss you. Everyone here is very accepting of anyone. I know that Magna there seemed a bit weird, but he is actually quite the accepting guy, you'll soon see." Venta pushed his hand forward towards the curious Noelle. "So, want to come with me and see what happens next? Trust me, in no time, you'll see these guys as good people, and people you can rely on."
Noelle looked at his hand and then her own.
A feeling of heat radiated through her, as she took a step forward.
She then reached out, and her fingers curled around his own for a brief moment, before she came closer, and moved her hand back to the side of her body, turning her head towards the right, and felt heat pooling to her cheeks.
Venta patted her back.
"Come on, lets go."
"Y-Yes, lets go and see what happens now."
Venta and Noelle walked out together.
Going outside into the forest like area, he sat down together with Vanessa. She placed her head on his shoulder, as Charmy jumped onto his thighs. Noelle with a dignified expression sat down beside Venta on the other side where Vanessa wasn't.
"My, so you came to join us."
Yami spoke to Noelle, who held her hands together.
"Yes, that is correct."
"Haha, well at least you ain't as weird as your big sister."
Noelle tilted her head.
"Big sister Nebra? Has she...I mean, is she..."
"Lets just say we've had dealings before."
Yami left it at that, which gave Noelle more perplexity than ever before.
Asta, withdrawing her sword, makes a stance.
"So, I'm ready when you are Senpai!"
Magna shows a small smirk.
"If that's how it is, then I'm ready now!" With his Grimoire floating around him, Magna pulls out a baseball bat made out of fire. "Then lets get to it!"
Asta watches as flames appear around the bat, as Magna swings it forward, sending a myriad of fire spheres towards Asta.
But using her speed she had honed for years, she dodged them without having to use her sword.
Surprising the likes of Magna, while Yami showed a slight smirk on his face.
"She isn't bad at all. For someone without Magic, she's able to use her body to make up for the lack of Magic."
Noelle caught what Yami said.
"Wait, no Magic at all? I saw at the Magic Knight Entrance Exam that she used her sword to slice right through that bah-ha guys barrier, but you're saying that wasn't Magic? What was it then?"
"Anti Magic."
Venta replied, blowing Noelle away.
"I didn't know such a thing existed."
"Someone without Mana is capable of using the Anti Magic Swords. If used by someone with Mana, then the blade would drink your Mana dry. Asta-san is a unique case where she apparently wasn't born with Mana so she's free to use the blades as she wishes to do."
Noelle was astonished.
Magna looked surprised Asta managed to dodge.
"Good dodging skills. But you wont dodge this next one, I'll make sure of it!" Raising his hand to the sky, Magna summons flames into a compressed sphere. "Fire Magic , Exploding Fireball!"
Grasping the fireball tightly, Magna takes a huge step, before throwing it towards Asta.
Asta looks at the speed of the fireball, and knew that she'd not be able to dodge out of the way in time.
Also, she knew that if she cut it, then the monentum of the fireball would still cause her damage as all she'd do is split the fireball in half.
Venta raised his hand slowly, wondering if he'd have to interfere to make sure that Asta would be safe.
But he was surprised when she moved her body by herself, and turned the blade from the edge so the flat side of the blade was showing, and used it very much like a bat.
Swinging it forward, the fireball, rather than be negated, reflected back at Magna, returning the full power of the attack, shocking Magna who let out a cry when his flaming sphere came back at him.
But before it could, it stopped in the air with a purple coating around it, stopping it from hurting Magna.
"It stopped!" Magna yelled, and turned to Venta, who made a fist with his hand, causing the gravity around the fire to compress, and turn into nothingness. "So it was you!"
"Indeed, so do you think she's done enough now?"
Magna cocks his head to the side, then lets out a loud laugh.
"Yeah, guess that she has done." Magna turns to Asta, and pulls out a robe. "Here, you are pretty impressive. Such strong Magic."
"Magic, I don't have that."
Magna blinked.
"Wait, what?"
"Yea, I don't have Magic, I used Anti Magic!"
Magna was left reeling from that while Vanessa used her Thread Magic, and along with a new robe for her, she also causes the headband that Asta wore to receive the insignia of the Black Bulls.
"There, that suits much better."
"Cool! Thank you Senpai!"
"Just Vanessa is fine with me darling. Besides, anyone that likes Venta-kun is okay in my books~"
Vanessa said with a cheery wink, and a slight flirtatious sound coming from her.
Asta blinked several times, before showcasing a wild grin on her face.
"Ooh! Then we're great friends because one day, we're gonna get married, and live together, and it's going to be the best thing ever! Well, we already do live together now! Hahaha, I guess that's the best after all~!"
Vanessa found Asta rather endearing, while Yami showed a smirk.
"Girls got some promise. Can't wait to see what more this Anti Magic does."
As Yami said it, Venta watches as the other members of the squad go over and speak to her.
Giving off a small smile himself, Venta nodded.
"Indeed, she's quite interesting huh Captain."
Yami laughed.
Venta then turned towards Noelle, who stared on at Asta.
"You haven't become acquainted yet, right?"
"What?" Noelle began, then shook her head. "No, I haven't."
"Why not start now?"
Noelle wasn't sure.
But Venta encouraged her.
"She doesn't know anything about you, and she might be from the lower class of society, but Asta-san is a really great girl. Very accepting and lovable. So I think you'd become fast friends, even if you don't wanna admit it hahaha."
Noelle's lips curled upwards ever so slightly.
But then she bowed her head, and stood tall.
"I suppose that I should introduce myself at least."
"Yeah, that's the spirit Noelle-san."
Noelle nodded, and walked over.
Asta looked towards her, as Noelle waved her hand through her hair.
"Good day to you. My name is Noelle Silva, a new member of the Black Bulls such as yourself."
"Cool! We're gonna be going through this together! My names Asta, and my last name will be Venta-kun's last name when we're married! Great to meet you, can't wait for us to become fast friends!"
Venta gave an endearing smile towards her.
Noelle looked at Asta's energy, and gave a slightly tsundere like reply.
"Well, perhaps, but I am still royalty so it doesn't mean much." Venta raised an eyebrow, as Noelle glanced at him. "W-What I mean to say is, that I am sure that we will become...able to work together in a good manner."
Venta thought that was pretty good for Noelle.
Seeing her trying to bond, brought a small smile to his lips.
The next day, Venta woke up, and saw that Vanessa wasn't there.
It was rather a curious sight.
But he did see Dorothy was snuggled against him, and didn't seem to be moving either.
He quite enjoyed the morning with her when she did something like nuzzle him, or hug him tightly.
Whatever it was, he definitely enjoyed it.
"Morning Captain." She didn't reply verbally, but she did move up and nuzzle his face with her own. "I'm going to go and have breakfast, want to come?" She shook her head as she laid her face back onto the pillow. "I'll bring you some up soon, okay?"
She gave a thankful nod, so Venta stood up.
Since he was dressed in only his underwear, using his Gravity Magic, he pulled his clothes from the dresser to his body and allowed them to slide onto his body via his Magic.
So when he finally got dressed, he walked out of the room.
Going towards Asta's room first, he knocked on the door.
"Asta-san, are you awake?"
As soon as the words left his lips, he heard the energetic voice of Asta.
[Future husband! I'll be down soon! I'm enjoying my new room!]
"Heh, alright then, see you in a minute."
Venta turned and walked towards Noelle's room.
Getting there, he went to knock when she opened the door.
She jumped when she saw him.
"V-Venta-kun! What are you..."
"Come to see if you're ready for breakfast. Afterwards, I'll take you on a tour of the Black Bulls hideout."
"I...I see, then yes I am ready."
"That's good. Ooh, also. How did you sleep?"
"Well, I am used to bigger accommodations as I am sure you're aware." Venta slowly nods. "But, these weren't bad, and I definitely got enjoyment out of having a nice space to sleep in. Also, the bedsheets were particularly soft."
"Yeah, we got some new ones recently."
"I...I see. Then good choice in getting these. Now, breakfast?"
"Aah yeah, Charmy-chan would have made it, she's an amazing chief. Hey, maybe even as good or better than those at the royal houses."
"Well, that would be a difficult task, so I'll be sure to let you know."
Venta chuckled lightly.
"Of course, then ready?"
"Yes, lead the way."
Venta inclined his neck, and did just that.
Going down the stairs, and having some breakfast together, Asta joined them. Since most of them were out, it was a pretty peaceful morning which Venta was very appreciative of, the same could be said for Noelle herself.
So then Venta began touring the Black Bulls base together with the two girls following him. First he thought he'd show them a place that he thought that they'd probably go in sometime in the future, and that was where Yami get his...pets.
They looked, seeing large thick bars that easily dwarfed them by a good degree.
"It's a cage. Why is there a cage here?"
Noelle began, with Asta looking into the darkness with curiosity.
For a second, she thought that she saw a red flashing light.
But it disappeared quickly.
"Eh….Venta-kun, what's in there?"
"Captain's pets live in there."
"Ooh! Like a cat and dog?"
Venta chuckled.
"Well, I guess you could say something like that."
Asta was more intrigued.
She moved closer, so Venta held out his hand.
"You might not want to do that Asta-san."
"Hnmm? But why?"
No sooner as she said it, a sudden howl came from the cage, and three large beasts came out to try and bite Asta.
Asta let out a cute cry "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" and tried to move, but they were too fast. Noelle screamed as well, while Venta held back a small smile, raising his hand and caused the pets of Yami to pause in their movements, allowing gravity around them to bind them.
"Now, now. You shouldn't be doing these things, should you?"
Venta scolded the pets, which hung their heads down.
Smiling, he snaps his wrist to the right, and allows several pieces of large meats to float in the air, and went towards their mouths, which they snacked away on peacefully.
"They're scary. Can we leave now?"
Noelle murmured, Venta nodded.
"Yeah, lets go to the library next."
Venta turned and walked away.
Noelle did the same thing.
Asta went to, when she saw one of the large beasts look as if they were winking at her, which caused her to feel shock through her system.
Shuddering, she shot after Venta.
Making it to him, they went towards their next destination.
Arriving, Venta opened the door, and showed the contents of the room to the others.
"So this is the library, we've got a good selection to choose from."
Noelle leaned forward with intrigue.
"Hmmm, I might have to check these out at some point...ooh, I read that one as a child."
Noelle pointed a specific book out, so Venta did the 'come here' sign with his finger to the book, which lifted, and floated to Noelle.
"Do you want to have another read?"
Noelle gave the book a small look, before shrugging and taking it for herself.
"Yes, this will be good."
Asta inspected the library with starry eyes.
"Wow, this is so big!"
Noelle raised an eyebrow.
"It isn't that big, haven't you seen a library bigger than this before?"
Asta turned towards Noelle, perplexed.
"There's libraries bigger than this?"
Noelle sweat dropped, as Venta laughed.
"Well, it might not be big, but it's got what we want in it. Next, lets go and show you girls were the baths are."
"Ooh! I would love a bath! Venta-kun, lets have one together!"
Asta exclaimed, Noelle did a spit take.
"Y-You can't be serious!"
"Why wouldn't I be serious?"
Asta countered, as Noelle huffed.
"Because he is a man!"
"Yeah, so? I'm intending to marry this man~"
Venta had to admit that Asta did crack him up.
"W-Well, even if you are, bathing with a man is...it is something that..."
Noelle felt embarrassed to say it.
But Asta showed a wild grin.
"It's good for bonding, Venta-kun and I can bond over many things after all~"
Noelle didn't know what to say, as they continued.
Going through the different sections of the base of the Black Bulls, the pair of girls were intrigued.
That was until they arrived towards the back, just outside Magna was stationed.
"Hey, I forgot something yesterday!" Magna called, and pointed at Noelle. "You haven't been through the ceremony, have you?"
Noelle blinked, then held up her face curiously.
"You wish to fight a royal such as myself?"
"With that attitude! Damn right!"
Noelle pursed her lips as Venta gave an intrigued stare.
"Sure, go for it Noelle-san. Show him what you can do."
Noelle turned towards Venta.
"You're sure?"
"Yes, of course. It is good for squad mates to know what each other is capable of, you never know when you might be working together and need to quickly form plans with your Magic. So show him Noelle-san."
"Well, if you're sure, then I don't mind."
Noelle pulled out her wand that she received from Venta a good few months ago now, and held it out in front of her.
She then waved her wand as Magna raised an eyebrow.
"You're using a wand?"
"Yes, that's right. Problem?"
"None at all!" Magna created his flaming bat, and held it towards Noelle. "Be ready for the shots! I wont go easy because you're a royal!"
"Understood, go ahead, lets begin."
Noelle replied, as her grimoire floated nearby.
Magna allowed fire spheres to form, before he shot them off towards Noelle.
Unlike Asta who dodged them, Noelle didn't do that.
Instead, she formed a thick sphere of water that acted like a barrier, blocking all of the shots between them.
The fire simply was put out by the incredible water that Noelle had access too.
"It didn't even get through a bit?"
Magna was surprised, so Noelle took a step forward.
"I have received training after all. Now allow me to use a spell." Noelle waved her wand out before her. "Water Magic, Sea Dragons Waterball!"
Forming what looked like a large water sphere.
Larger than even Magna's body, he watched as Noelle shot it out.
Even with the size, she didn't lose in speed at all, and the water shot for Magna at high speeds.
Magna showed a strong expression, and shot off his Exploding Fireball for the water.
However it tanked the shot with some steam rising up from the water.
But it kept the form, and continued for Magna.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
Magna cried out as the water impacted him, sending him flying through the air.
Noelle blinked as Asta did a cheer.
"Alright Noelle! You're strong! Back at the exam, and now, you're super strong!"
Receiving a compliment from Asta, Noelle scratched her cheek.
Magna continued to let out a cry as Venta snapped his fingers and caught the space with his Gravity Magic so he didn't leave too far.
He brought Magna back with a flick of his wrist.
Magna landed before them, and looked at Noelle with widened eyes.
"Y-You are strong!"
"I am a royal..." She paused, and gave a more humble reply. "I have been training hard under the tutelage of Venta-kun here. Thanks to his assistance, I have been able to harness my power and use it to good degree."
Magna laughed as he rubbed the back of his head nervously.
"N-No kidding, so you've got a Sensei in our very own Vice Captain huh."
Noelle nodded slowly.
"Yes, correct. So, is that enough to make it through the ceremony?"
"S-Sure! You're strong enough! Welcome to the Black Bulls! Now I've got to go!"
Venta watched Magna run away, with him looking back at Noelle with bewilderment.
Shaking his head, he turned to the two girls.
"Well, seems like you've been inducted nicely into the Black Bulls now. So, how about we explore more around here? And afterwards, get something to eat. My treat."
"Sounds good future husband!"
Asta let out happily, with Noelle exhaling.
"I suppose it would be good."
Venta found them both quite cute, for different reasons, as they began walking off together.
After the fight with Magna finished, Venta took Noelle and Asta of a tour of their surroundings so they could get familiar with it. Also showing them the different ways to close by places in case they needed it.
Even eating out together, which Asta immensely enjoyed, and while not voicing it, Noelle did as well.
When they arrived back after the day of adventure between them, Venta was surprised to see that Nebra was sat there. But more than that as she usually was anyway, there was something on her outfit that did surprise him, and that was an insignia of the Black Bulls.
Venta saw his Captain and a few of his squad mates there so he sat down together with the confused Noelle.
"Erm...big sister, why are you here?"
Noelle was the one to ask.
Nebra brushed her mouth with a beautiful white napkin, but she didn't say anything.
Noelle looked at Venta who shrugged as a result.
So Venta this time asked instead.
"Eh, Nebra-san. What's going on? That's an...interesting choice to have put on your outfit."
"It is removable."
She replied as she took a sip of her tea.
Just then, Asta rushed towards Venta.
Before she could jump him, Nebra's eyes fell on her, and Asta paused.
"Whoa, just felt a cold shiver...aah well!" Asta jumps towards Venta, and lands on his lap, Noelle foams at the mouth, Nebra's eyes sharpen, Vanessa snickers, Grey looks on with a quivering bottom lip, while Charmy's eyes turn towards Asta, and Venta's lap. "Venta-kun! This place is so cool! I'm glad that we get to be on the same squad Venta-kun!"
"Yes, it's wonderful that we ended up together, Asta-san."
"Yup! And now we're together, aah my dreams are coming true! There's even a couch Venta! We can cuddle on that later on and speak about our day! Haha, it is going to be so fantastic, and then we'll be able to hug one another all of the time! Can I sit on your lap all of the time? Wouldn't that be great!?"
Charmy didn't like the sound of that.
Her favourite resting spot, would be taken by Asta.
Once she was okay with.
Twice she was okay with.
But if it was more than that before she had a chance to sit there, then she felt very sad.
So she walked over towards Venta and Asta.
Seeing the young woman, she casually pushed Asta to his right thigh.
"Eeeh? Charmy-chan, what's wrong?"
Charmy hops onto Venta's lap, and sways side to side.
"La, this is the best spot in the entire Black Bulls~ I can't give it up~"
Nebra wasn't thrilled by what she was seeing.
Asta on the other hand laughed it off.
"Hahaha! I get it, this is a girl competing for my future husbands affections! Well, that's fine, I love competition after all!"
Noelle looked shocked that Asta was saying these things.
Venta looked towards Nebra.
He just found it so weird to see that she had the Black Bulls insignia. It didn't seem like she seemed annoyed by it. If anything, she looked rather pleased with having it on all of a sudden.
"So...how come it's there? The Black Bulls insignia I mean."
Nebra gave a coy smile, and turned to Yami.
Responding to that, Yami cleared his throat, and pulled out some papers.
Venta raised an eyebrow, as Nebra gave her bright coy smile towards everyone.
"Okay lets see...right, okay." Yami straightens out the papers as he begins to speak. "Nebra-san is a together, wonderful, bright young lady, who I personally feel, and this is just me saying this." Venta sweat dropped. "But I think personally, that Venta, and Nebra-san are a perfect match."
Asta and Noelle did a spit take.
Charmy looked on with a sad gaze.
Grey's devastated shy eyes went towards Nebra.
Vanessa stopped drinking when Yami said that.
"W-What?"
Yami glanced at Nebra who shrugged her shoulders.
"That's such a lovely thing to say Captain Yami. Thank you for the support. Of course, I also believe that to be true as well, but hearing you, of your intelligent mind saying that, I am blessed. Very much so. Venta-kun and I will do our best to be a great couple."
Venta stared on, wondering what the heck was going on with Yami and Nebra all of a sudden.
Yami glanced at Nebra who gave the most subtle of nods so he gave one right back.
"Y...Yeah, anyway. If you're wondering about this enchanting, beautiful..." Yami paused as he looked over the notes he had. "...Seriously I can't say that, it's too much for me..." Nebra raised an eyebrow, as Yami released a breath. "...this girls apart of the Black Bulls now. Not fully committed, but she's allowed to stay here whenever she wants, so like an honorary member or something. She's still apart of the Silver Eagles but she can also say she's this groups member too. In an unofficial capacity."
The last part sounded more like Yami.
While Nebra didn't seem pleased he didn't say what she wrote, she was satisfied enough the point got across.
"Wait, that's actually a thing?"
Magna asked in a roaring voice.
Yami glanced at Nebra who bowed her head.
"In this instance it is yes."
Venta couldn't believe it, and he was definitely intrigued by how she managed to accomplish such a thing.
"Yay! Someone new to fight!"
Luck exhaled strongly, while Gordon gave a flower to Nebra, but it was already dead, which freaked her out.
"...For my best Silva house member friend that uses Mist Magic, a flower."
Nebra looked on at it with tired eyes.
She didn't even know what to say to this as a result.
"Alright how did she do it?"
Finral asked, Venta nodding.
"Yeah, this is odd Captain. What's going on here really?"
Yami exhaled slowly.
His mind flashed back to last night...
Nebra came strolling up to the Black Bulls, when everyone else was either away or asleep. Finding Yami within the living quarters, she moved closer as she placed her hands out before, showcasing a small but notable smile on her face.
"Captain of the Black Bulls."
"Oh, mist girl, what's going on? If you're looking for your beloved that isn't your beloved, then I'm afraid that you've missed him."
Nebra showed her smile even more.
"No, for a change this hasn't anything to do with him. I'd like to talk to you about a certain matter if you please."
Yami was perplexed.
What could Nebra wish with him instead of Venta?
"I'm listening mist girl. Speak up."
Nebra inhaled slowly, placing her hands on her chest, and showed a confident smile on her face as she spoke up.
"I'd like to join the Black Bulls."
Yami was taken aback.
He didn't expect that kind of turn from Nebra of all people.
"You what?"
Yami said with a surprised tone.
Nebra continued to smile.
"To become even closer to my darling, I have to make some drastic actions, and this is one of them. Not officially of course, as I am still a proud member of the Silver Eagles, but I'd like to join this group unofficially. To be close to my darling boy, who is so enchanting and clearly wishes for me to be around as well-" Yami sweat dropped at that part. "-this is the best way that I think we could achieve a good thing between us. Wouldn't you agree, Captain of the Black Bulls?"
Now he understood why she'd want it.
She just wished to be closer to Venta, which made sense to Yami.
Still, he was very apprehensive about it.
"And why would I say yes to this?"
Nebra nodded slowly.
"I suspected this might happen, so in this bag..." Nebra brought out a bag, and placed it on the table. "...is the answer to your current problems. I have heard you have had trouble with fixing your sword on occasion, correct? Please check out the bag."
Yami looked on, and then opened the bag.
Seeing the contents, he almost spluttered.
"T-This is..."
"Yes, I have been able to use some of my contacts to aid you. Of course favours will have to be done by your squad, however I believe that this type of weapon is good, the metal it is made from is one that only people such as myself can easily access without having to worry. So, what do you say?"
Yami rubbed his chin.
Seeing what he could, and then looked at Nebra who was giving a strong smile to her face, he let out a small laugh.
"Well, if that's the case, welcome to the Black Bulls I guess."
Nebra stuck out her hand, so Yami shook it right back.
"You shan't regret this Captain."
Yami slowly nodded as did Nebra, forming a deal between them.
Snapping back to present day, Yami looked between all of them, seeing unconvinced eyes with all of them. Even the newer members weren't buying any of this and seemed to be more perplexed than anything else.
"I thought we could use a...lets say a breath of fresh air within our squad. And Nebra-san is...very dedicated to a certain member, and that's good...don't question me, I'm your Captain! If I say she's in, she's in!"
Most cringed, while Venta noticed something.
Leaning on the back wall.
A usual design of a sword, but with some differences that Venta could see.
"Nice sword Captain. Is it new?"
Yami looked as if he was caught between a rock and a hard place.
"That old thing? No, not at all. Just had a clean recently, that's all."
Finral rubbed his chin in thought.
"Hmmm, Venta-kun's right, the blade seems brand new."
"It isn't."
Yami growled out, Vanessa snapped her fingers.
"So that's how..." Yami shot her a look, so Vanessa let out a cry and hid behind Venta. "...w-well, it's a lovely blade like always, love it, and you Captain, you're great, Venta-kun is cute, and I'm going to go and get drunk."
Vanessa bowed, and rushed towards the couch, bottle in hand and she seemed to be rather excited.
They all pretty much understood now how she was able to get what she desired for.
Though Yami in the back of his mind thought about it.
"Though the swords nice, I mostly agreed because I find her funny. She's still with the Silver Eagles, and it isn't like she'll do missions for us, but it means she can stay here, and say she and her beloved Venta are together in a certain way, I think that's what she really wants. I don't care if she does, it will be entertaining to see what she does next."
Yami didn't share his thoughts, and watched on to see how the events were going to play out.
Nebra, looking at everyone around, then stood up.
"First of all, thank you Captain Yami for the invite to this squad, I am humbled and grateful for this opportunity." Yami chuckled slowly. "But I have to say, this squad is going to be going places, and I can see much potential within these walls. And please stop scaring me Gordon-san with your dolls." Gordon looked on with a tilted head, most were surprised she bothered learning his name. "Now first order of business. Darling, your bedroom, would be located in which part of this base?"
Venta looked at her curiously.
"Why?"
"Because I'd like to know where to put my belongings."
Noelle's face turned darker, as Nebra gave a soft smile.
"You want to put your clothes in my room?"
"Correct."
"Because, you want to sleep in there?"
"Again correct."
"And you wont settle for anything less?"
"My, it seems we're on the same wavelength darling."
Venta looked on, unsure of what to say.
Asta however, stood up and offered her hand.
"Hey there! I am Venta-kun's unofficial bride! Nice to meet you!"
Nebra looked at the hand, and then towards Asta herself.
"You...trying to steal darling away. Back at the Entrance Exam, I heard your declarations."
"Eh? I don't know about that, but we're currently engaged, kinda! I mean, I wanna be of course, and Venta-kun and I have slept together so-"
"WHAT!?"
"YEAH, WHAT!?"
Like her sister, Noelle yelled after Nebra.
But then Noelle began shivering and turned her head towards the right hand side.
Nebra though looked shocked.
Vanessa found it funny, while Charmy looked up at Venta who smiled, and petted her head.
Grey was in the background, shaking and going in and out of her transformed state, unable to hold it due to the immense shock that she felt run deep within, causing her concentration to fall, so she quickly hid behind a pillar to stay out of eyesight of the others.
Asta tilted her head at the pair of sisters.
"Geez, you guys can yell! And I thought people got angry at me for it! Hahah, well it is what it is! Venta-kun and I have slept together several times. Sometimes, we even snuggle too~ It's really great, I love it~"
"When you say sleep together, what do you mean?"
Nebra demanded, Asta tilted her head side to side.
"Eh, sleep together, get into the same bed. Why? What did you mean?"
Nebra inhaled and exhaled slowly, dramatically.
"It doesn't matter about that. Well, competition is also healthy." Nebra snaps her fingers...but no one came. "It seems that they didn't hear...okay, again."
Nebra snaps her fingers.
But like before, no one came.
She did it several times.
But no one came.
Nothing happened at all.
"Erm, what are you doing?"
Venta asked, Nebra furrowed her brows.
"When I snap my fingers, people rush to my side to see what it is they can do for me."
"In your castle, right?"
"Of course darling."
Venta sweat dropped.
"You're not in your castle though."
Nebra this time sweat dropped.
"Darling, then can I ask, as you are the Vice Captain, that you have one of the members of the squad grab my bags, and place them into your room for me please? Afterwards, I'd like to go and discuss our future together...wait, we're not together! We wont ever be together darling! I don't even like you like that!"
Yami held a smirk on his face.
He always found it funny when Nebra went into denial mode.
Even Noelle, who also denied things she felt sometimes, had to let out a small giggle at seeing how her sister flipped between them.
"Wow, that took her longer than usual to go into her Denial Mode. She was actually speaking quite nicely to you then Venta-kun~"
Vanessa laughed out.
Venta chuckled awkwardly.
"So, I don't think my room is gonna be big enough for all of your things..." Venta began as he looked to the corner of the room, seeing all of Nebra's items she had brought along. "However, there's a room close to mine, would that be acceptable?"
"Well, if it is close by, then I suppose that it will have to do." Nebra looked to Gordon. "Come, Gordon-san."
"Best friend, do you need my help?"
Gordon's voice was low, but his face showed a smile, a very creepy one that caused some to cringe, while Nebra raised an eyebrow at it, it didn't seem to scare her, which some had to give her credit for, she showed a cool side to her when doing that.
Nebra furrowed her brows.
"I don't know what you said, and I hope that it isn't a curse, but I believe that it would be best if you do help me. After scaring me so much lately, it is only right."
Gordon looked perplexed, and went to stand when Venta stopped him.
"Gordon-san, it's okay. I've got her bags."
"Best Vice Captain friend, I am in your debt."
Venta slowly nods, as he uses his Gravity Magic on the bags that she had.
"Lets go Nebra-san."
"Yes darling~"
With that, Venta took Nebra with him up the stairs.
The others looked to Yami for answers.
But, he didn't have any.
Nebra...was going to add a very unique dynamic to say the least.

So back to this chapter, it focused on Asta and Noelle coming to the Black Bulls, and getting acquainted with everyone there. They also passed Magna's little test, with flying colours. Yuno and Venta have promised to go out, and Nebra used her, persuasive powers to allow her to become an unofficial member of the Black Bulls, while not holding any true meaning since she's still with the Silver Eagles, Nebra was happy enough and seemed to like the idea of being on the same squad as her beloved, and Yami finds her quite funny so we'll see how that goes~
