Location: The Void - Time: Unknown
A soul drifted across the void, a shining light in an infinite expanse of darkness. It didn't know how long it stayed here, in fact, it barely clung to its last remaining memories, but if this continued they too would be forgotten.
But it seemed that something took notice of the little soul, as the world exploded in light. The soul recoiled for it was not used to the light after expanding so much time in darkness.
But even as it tried to exhaust its vision in a vain attempt to become used to the light, it noticed that the light had consumed it.
Suddenly the light around him started to dim and the soul found itself in the front of a being. It was completely covered in white robes that seemed to shimmer with an inner light.
The being hummed, a sound that made the soul recoil in itself, "It seems that your sense of self has already disappeared, even if some memories are remaining, it isn't worth much, let us fix that shall we" The White being stretched out his hand and a white light engulfed the soul, who made it twitch.
Then the soul started to condense and change, hands and feet started appearing, and soon a fully male body was made. The soul humanoid form possessed brown eyes, black hair, the shadow of a beard, and finally, his physique was not much muscular possessing enough so that he would look relatively attractive.
"Who... are you" The soul spoke in an ethereal voice that still carried the original sound of his voice.
The being chuckled, the sound making the soul flinch, "Oh yes you definitely will be interesting" The being lowered his head in his direction and directly spoke to the little soul in front of him.
"But you should be asking who you are"
And at that exact moment a torrent of memories assaulted the soul, these memories where of a life of a normal human on earth, his name was George Mason, a thirty five year old who worked as a marine biologist and passed his free time reading books or playing games.
Sometimes he even went to the movie theater, though with the recent pandemic that would be possible much later.
"I... died?" The soul - Mason - questioned the his current situation, while he was definently the man he was before in the physical sense, the same could not be said in his mind. While he did experience George Mason's memories it was more like seeing a movie, his own personality was very different from the man he saw.
A clear after effect of expending so much time in the endless void.
"You did" The being started with his explanation "And your soul was flung here, in the void between dimensions, your kind is quite rare even in the great expanse of the ommniverse, but you" The being pointed one of his fingers, which were made of light, at him "Is a even more rare example, you have spent so much time in here that you now carry a part of this endless void"
"You will become a being of darkness, the opposite of light, and I can't wait to see it" The being spoke with clear excitment in his voice, confusing Mason. After all why would a being of light be excited over the prospect of a new being of darkness? Aren't they polar opposites?
The being seemed to have noticed his confusion, "While it is true, that beings of light and darkness do warre against each other, not all do so, for the brighter the light the darker the shadow it creates"
The being seemed to be thinking a little before saying "Okay talk is over I am going to reincarnate you now, your destination being the Star Wars universe"
Mason didn't think his destination was that bad, he knew many things about the Star Wars universe as it was one of his favourite franchises in his past life. Thought he would prefer if he was dropped in the Clone Wars timeline as it was the one he knew better of than the others.
"Also," The being started "I am making you a diamond, don't worry you will still be a man physically at least, you also will have other things from that particular universe so, have fun~"
"Wait wha-" Mason did not have a chance to finish as the world was consumed by light once more.
Location: Outer Rim - Time: Unknown
Upon a planet sitting on the edge of the Outer Rim of the galaxy. Sitting in what appeared to be a large temple, a black diamond resided, it was physically perfect, its cut apresented no single amount of imperfections.
But this wasn't a simple gem.
The diamond started emitting a black fog, which then started increasing in size and density, before finally a rough humanoid form, made of complete darkness.
Then it started to change once more, the shadows retreated, revealing a astoundingly beautiful giant.
Long silky hair, obsidian eyes, a muscular physique that wasn't overly muscular more a swimmer's build. His skin was a dark grey, and he was dressed in a dark grey sleeveless bodysuit with a black shirt underneath, completed with skin tight jeans and chiseled dark boots.
The black diamond resided in the center of his chest.
That was Mason, who quickly adjusted himself to his new self. Which was actually rather easy.
This was because he had already the information about his new body directly in his mind, and so adapting was rather easy.
"It really seems that I was reincarnated as a diamond" Mason said, analyzing his new body and looking at the gem in his chest "Even my voice has changed" Indeed his voice was something one would find in a monarch. It was the voice that naturelly carried power and encouraged respect by just speaking.
Mason then started looking at the room he was in. It was a spacious dark grey room, with tinges of black in it, it was empty except for a stone pillar in the middle of the room, Mason started walking towards it, while remembering about all the things of the two respective universes.
'The Diamonds of Steven Universe were the strongest beings seen in the show, having power and strength far outweighing all the other beings presented, but they were plagued by internal strife thanks to White Diamond'
Mason started inspecting the pillar, 'Even then they managed to build a sizable empire, even if it was a measly forty three worlds, their technology was incredible, and coupled with the gem species natural capabilities they were unstoppable'
'Until Pink Diamond and Steven Universe' Mason shooked his head, a species that could have ruled the entire universe brought down because one of its ruling members learned empathy at the wrong moment.
Then their empire collapsed, becoming a joke, even then it is implied the Diamonds commited genocide multiple times in the past. But it seemed that it was seemingly forgotten.
Mason shook the thoughs out of his head, he couldn't judge them, after all he is going to commit genocide against many species.
His own sense of morality had been warped by his stay in the void between creations, the original George Mason has died a long time ago, the new Mason was a different person altogether, certain things that the original wouldn't even dare to think were not only real thoughts but also possibilities.
Thought the new Mason considered himself to be more pragmatic than evil.
"Now if I am right, it should be activated like this" Mason put his hand upon the smooth surface of the pillar and it instantly alighted, a robotic feminine voice started speaking the sound seemingly coming from everywhere.
Hello my Diamond I am the Diamond General Service System, please say your designation
Mason thought a little, he didn't decide on a new permanent name yet, so he decided to go with a more temporary one "Call me Black Diamond"
Confirmed, do you wish to know the status of the Colony?
"Yes I do"
A series of holagraphic images started appearing around the newly named Black Diamond. They contained information about the number of injectors and which gems could currently. As well as the information about the planet.
As of now Mason had under his control more than a hundred thousand injectors, the planet he was on need only a few thousand injectors to start the production and terraforming process.
Mason was currently assigning his major objectives in his mind: 1) Start the production and terraforming process, 2) Find out where exactly they are on the galaxy, 3) Find a way to travel to other universes.
Of course these three were a rough line, and there other objectives between them but it was good for now.
"Can the creation and terraforming process begin immediately?" Mason asked the computer.

"Then begin"
Like a switch was flipped, the entire temple suddenly started to rouse, injectors which had layed dormant in the temple for an indefinite amount of time awakened at last, and started moving out of temple storage through newly made doorways.
They moved in frightening speed and cohesion, and soon they spread across the entire world, then they started their work.
Drills pierced the rock and dirt underneath and the injectors and started deposing the material needed to create gems. Soon the first generation would would be born.
Mason had of course checked to see if could make some changes, to make the gems more obedient to his orders. The computer had informed him that it was unnecessary as all gems are naturelly supplicant to the Diamonds, which he was part of.
It was a good type of coincidence, through he didn't remember that being a thing in show, besides pearls of course which were created to be fanatically loyal to their Diamond.
Mason continued to observe the proceedings of both the production of gems and the terraforming process, before he had a sudden though.
"Computer do you possess a scanner?"

"What is its total range?"
The resident solar system
It wasn't good but it wasn't bad either. Mason would have liked if the range was bigger, but this could work as well, "Give a full scan of the solar system, I want to know everything of it"
Confirmed, this will take approximately two days thanks to lack of equipment
Mason hummed, two days was not a long time and he could use the time to train with his new abilities.
