This is my attempt at what happens to tanya after the war. This is also based off of a what if most people in the state of texas has wondered. What if Texas stayed independent? It's that except it takes place in the world of youjo senki, after the great war ended. I'll be mixing light novel, manga and anime lore, but mostly light novels as there is more details in that version.

11th December, 1928, Unnamed military hospital, Berun

On the 12th hour of the 28th day, on the 11th Month 1928, the guns stopped firing. A ceasefire was called between the Allies, and the Empire. During that time I was hospitalized, from my desperate fight with Mary Sue, I hacked her twice, no thrice to make sure she was dead. But something felt off about that fight. It seemed as if Being X had given up on Mary and threw her away like a used rag that is too old to be of effective use anymore, her magic power dropped significantly, or from an outsider's perspective it was like my magic power increased to match hers. I almost died that day, I almost submitted to Being X, no I did. What's done is done, I ended up making a deal with being x around a week ago, I would pray to him every day and he would stay out of my business, but he did warn that if a war does break out it wouldn't be his doing. He then said, he would continue his hands off policy, and when I die of old age, or something related to old age I could become a human resource manager for heaven. If I just committed suicide or get killed, I would get thrown back into the wheel of reincarnation.

Then there was a knock on the door "Come in!" I yelled just loud enough for the person on the other side to hear me. Then comes my mother or should I say the person who abandoned me at an orphanage on a cold September day. I first met her 2 years ago, during the 3 month period I was researching the kampfgruppe. She apparently came by when Rerugen was doing some work and he had no other meeting, so he let it slide. Then I came in, and was wondering who this woman that Rerugen was with. There was one thing I noticed between us. She looked eerily similar to me, or I looked similar to her, apparently despite the empires current tech level, the Bundespolizei, had a type of DNA device which in fact is used by mages, it could be used by C class mages, and higher, and after some testing, they found 65% to 90% chance that I am the daughter of her, despite them looking for years going through national records, they found no one with the last name Degurechaff but all of the sudden she reappears, it was strange really. Why appear then of all times. But that's the past, what's done is done, all you could do is atone for it.

I turned my thoughts to my mother, in her arms was my 2 month old half sister. She was starting to grow blonde hair. She looked awfully similar to me, and my mother, despite being the daughter of Rerugen.

"She looks awfully similar to me. Right Tanya?" My mother said, I was handed the two month old baby, named Isle. It didn't cry except it looked at me with its grey eyes with interest and wondered who this copycat of her mother was.

"She does. I've heard a study that babies typically look like a lot of people when they're born, but I don't know where." I commented.

"Yes they do. I wonder whose eyes hers look like? Let's take an example from you on how her eyes would look, you actually have a mixture of your fathers and my eyes." She said, I ran my hand through the baby's hair.

"Really? I never knew that." She said in surprise.

"Well you could see it here. She has the eyes of Rerugen, but the hair of you, I hope she can become something better than an aerial mage, all I've known is war in my life, I hope you could give you her a life I could've never had." Eventually tears began to form, my mother then put me in a tight embrace but was interrupted with a knock on the door.

"It's Rerugen, may I come in." I was about to get up but she did it for me.

"Ella you're here?" Rerugen asked.

"Yes I was just visiting, if it's something important, I could leave if you want?" She said,

"It is and is actually classified, so I would like to explain things to Tanya about what's going to happen to her." He said. My mother, with her two month old daughter in hand, eventually left the room with me, and Rerugen alone.

He then pulled up a chair to my hospital bed, and a suitcase containing files of what I assumed of what happened or something similar.

"Good afternoon, Lt Col Degurechaff, I see you were just talking with Ella for a bit?" He said.

"Yes, we were talking about your daughter. Congratulations, on the daughter. General.'

"Well, let's start with what the Allies are going to do with you. Let's just say, things didn't go smoothly. They couldn't agree on what to do with you, long story short, Francois wants your head, the Unified states rebuked as they dont want an underaged girl who got caught up in a war they escalated, so that means your trial is canceled. Imperial newspapers are going insane about the argents trial being canceled. The allies also refused to exile you to Waldstatten, as they want you off of the continent. They refused to exile you to russy as they fear you may get sent to the gulags, and surprisingly enough, Albion doesn't to give you to the communist as it would waste your talents, Albion doesn't want you in the Unified as your tactics could disrupt the balance of powers with a major power holding the devil. Legadonia only said they don't want you here. More or less things were a fiasco, but then a diplomat from a country called Coahuila Y Tejas, said they're willing to have you exiled there, although begrudgingly the allies allowed it to happen, as it wouldn't tip the balance of powers too much, as they're a minor power." He said.

"I see, so when will I leave?" I asked.

"Within one week, you will go to port Amstredam, and leave on the 18th, with no delays hopefully. You will also be picked up by one of the Texian soldiers." There was a knock on the door. Rerugen opened it and in comes a swoll man who is wearing a uniform that seems to be a mixture of both Imperial and American uniforms, on his arm was the flag of what she assumed was the Texian flag, it was white, blue, red tri colored flag with a 3 stars in the center, the middle one was larger than the ones on the sides. Not only that he held the rank of Lt. Col. That means we are talking to one of the big shots in the Texian military.

"This here is Lt. Col-" He was cut off by the fellow officer.

"No need for you to introduce me to Degurechaff General Rerugen. I'll handle it." he said in perfect Deutch "I am Lt. Col. Henry Jackson, commander of the 10th aerial mage battalion of the Armies air corps. It's nice to meet you Lt. Col. Degurechaff, or should I just say Degurechaff as you've been stripped of your rank by the Allies." he said.

"Nice to meet you Lt. Col. Jackson." I said.

He then went over the things that were a part of my exile. I was supposed to follow a mandatory 2 year draft, but you're actually compensated appropriately by having the government pay for college. The more that I think about it the better it is. Apparently their southern neighbor Mexicilia which recently became a communist state is making more and more aggressive ever since the Unified states became involved with the great war in europe. They also fought a proxy war in the west indies a few years ago where Mexicilia wanted to spread communism to the west indies, and Tejas stopped them. It started around the same time the federation invaded the empire.

Luckily I will be in the rear training as Tejas uses both seated and footed gear, to gain the best of both worlds, which was nice honestly, but a bit impractical if you ask me. Apparently this is because Tejas is not only has some of the world's most advanced engine technology but a also has an advanced magi-engine technology, they're right around in like 12th place right ahead of Mexicilia, and right behind legadonia for example, in magi-engine technology because of both their vast oil reserves, and magic jewels.

Eventually Rerugen left, to attend other duties. Henry also left as he had to prepare accommodations for the ship.

December 15th, City of Trianon

Ever since the empire surrendered because of economic collapse, the people of the empire were revolting, some wanting to create their own country, others wanting to just cause chaos. Ever since the kaiser abdicated, and fled to waldstatten with a train full of gold, and other luxuries there was no one left as a unifying factor left, other than a few brave imperial princes who weren't crowned next in line for the throne, and they're leaving the diplomats to handle the diplomacy while they try to at least, try to create some semblance of peace, which mind you is failing, and they just gave up, but that didn't mean, they haven't given up on trying to reduce the burden of what the former imperial states and their children have to pay.

So here I was in Trianon, the peace treaty the empire is forced to sign is extremely outrageous!

The former imperial states, have to pay from 60 billion marks for the state of Osterry, controlled by Wein. Germania 120 billion marks, Imperial Dacia which will be named Hungary have to pay an amount that I don't want to count all I know is that it's worse than Germanias reparations. Any disputed territories are going to be made into independent states which is posing off Francois, Legadonia, and Dacia, which mind you invaded the Empire In the first place and escalated the war to unnecessary bloodshed.

Not only that we couldn't pay with marks as they don't value our currency, but have to pay in American dollars, Albish Pounds, or in gold

We didn't start this war, but we lost so there is nothing we could do. We're lucky that the actual peace treaty wouldn't come into effect officially till February of 1929, as this isn't the final draft. Let's hope the diplomats could convince the allies to reduce the burden on the former imperial states.

Londinium, Allied Kingdom 1948

20 years after the Great War

"As the Empire surrendered to the Allies, after fighting the world for 5 entire years alone. It was a mere miracle that the Empire didn't get entirely dismantled, the only territories they really lost was disputed territory, and the disputes with said countries the Empire was having with didn't even got those territories, after the war as Albion, and the Unified states wanted buffer states in between the great powers and the Empire. The Unified States didn't want to get dragged into Europa's wars again, nor they didn't want an unstable Germania from declassified recording of the treaty. With people willing to go to extreme lengths, to just get food on the table and a roof over their heads." Andrew WTN Londinium times, The truth about the battlefield-Documentary film.

"Hello I am Andrew from WTN from Londinium Times. Although the truth of the mystical eleventh goddess was sadly not uncovered, I am glad that I taught you the lesser known history of the Great War and uncovered mysteries that were left unsolved for decades. And again I am Andrew from WTN Londinium Times and thank you for listening to my historical documentary." Andrew spoke into the mic to the millions of viewers tuning in, on the TVs or their radios, this was the last episode of the historical documentary done by Andrew of Londinium Times.

"And cut!" Said the director. The cameras stopped recording.

Andrew let out a long sigh.

"Can't believe we covered everything about the Great War and found almost nothing about the eleventh goddess and got nowhere near to finding where she is, the only evidence we found about her existence is V600 and veterans of the Great War from the imperial army getting offended by the nickname eleventh goddess." Andrew said to himself.

"Yeah me too, can't believe we found nothing about the eleventh goddess. Should we give up on the search? As things are getting a little over budget because of our search for her." Andrews co worker and long time friend Craig added.

"Yeah maybe we should but-" his conversation with Craig was interrupted by a staff member coming by.

"Mr. Andrew, you have a visitor." Said the staff member.

"Visitor, I have no plans for today. Who is this 'Visitor'?" Andrew asked.

"Her name is Isle Rerugen, she's the daughter of a high ranking General in the Wehrmacht. She says she knows where the eleventh goddess probably is."

This caught Andrews' attention. "The eleventh goddess?!" He couldn't keep his excitement contained, will they finally complete the final puzzle piece during the craziest days of the Great War?

"Please take her to my office. I want to interview her myself, and she says she was the daughter of a general of the Imperial army!" He exclaimed.

"Yes, I will tell her to go to y oh r office when you're ready to call her in." The staff member said.

AN: I rewritten this chapter a bit, and added more things to this chapter. As I said this is an attempt I will be trying to follow canon in the light novel as best as I can, but since I can't read Japanese and is still waiting for vol 9 translations to come out. If something doesn't line up with the light novel canon then chances are I diverged a bit to make the story more since.
