Goooooood moooooorning everyone or rather afternoon really...it is I, the lovable scallywag known as Mira Quinn. I am posting up four stories that are various lengths towards being done. Feel free to submit ideas, endings or heck even a new title.
The four stories are:
1. When Harry met Gabby - Harry x Gabrielle - Tri-Wizard tournament and beyond?
2. Harry Potter and the Bond - Harry x Fleur - Soul Bond - Summer before Tri-wizard tournament
3. Healing Bones - Harry x Susan Bones - Before 5th year
4. The Princess and the Golden Boy - Harry x Daphne - Triwizard Tournament
I'm going to see how these go but I've also got a couple of non Tri-wizard stories with pairings like femHarry x Tonks, Harry and the Carrow sisters, as well as Harry and Hermione. Let me know if you want to see those and I can place them up.
I absolutely love all your comments and suggestions so as always...

A Fateful Encounter
Harry Potter tossed another rock into the black lake. "No sodding way. Every bloody year it's something. Stupid magic rocks, stupid bloody snakes, werewolves and rats. Oh and hey look. Not only is the entire school against me but two others as well."
"They say that talking to yourself is either a sign of greatness or insanity. Also I am not against you." A voice from behind him spoke, startling him. He dropped the rock in his hand and spun around, drawing his wand. There stood a blonde girl in the uniform of Slytherin. No wand in her hand. No weapon of any sort. The girl in front of him was none other than Daphne Greengrass, the Ice Queen of Slytherin.
"Here to tell me I'm a liar and a cheat or perhaps ask how I did it? Either way I'm not in the mood Greengrass."
"Neither actually. I'm just sneaking up on the one who defeated Moldy Shorts to see if I can startle him...Which I have." Harry blinked...unsure if she was joking "Besides I don't think you actually put your name in the Goblet. You have no need for fame nor money seeing as you have plenty of both. Not to mention competing against people who have had 3 more years of classes and practice is crazy without whatever they decide to throw at you." He blinked again, confused that of all the people in Hogwarts to believe in him, it was Daphne Greengrass, a girl he had hardly ever talked to. He sighed.
"Thanks I guess...for believing that I didn't do it. Right now you're more of a friend than the one I've had since I started this deathtrap of a school."
"Awww shucks Potter. You really know how to make a girl feel special," she teased.
"Beautiful and a sense of humor. I didn't know the house of Slytherin had such a treasure," he retorted with a grin.
"If this is your way of asking me out, you're gonna have to do better than that."
"I'll have to try harder next time Princess."
"You know it's the Ice Queen thank you very much."
"Don't mention it Princess." He gave her the Potter grin and switched topics before she could retort. "So why'd you come out here to find me anyway? I can't imagine it's a popular decision right now, especially in Slytherin." She looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Am I supposed to care what other people think?" Harry shrugged.
"I guess not. Pretty sure this is the most we've ever talked though."
"Well I'm sure we could have talked sooner but you were always with Granger and Weasley. Weasley has made it abundantly clear how he feels about Slytherin. It seems like you have enough brains to judge people for themselves and not just what house they are in. Besides, someone has to keep you alive through this tournament," she added the last part with a grin. Her reasoning was sound as he looked at her and smirked before he frowned.
"You know that helping me would make you a target right, especially to Malfoy? I can't…" She interrupted.
"So help me if you say you can't let me do that, I will hex your bullocks off and toss them to the giant squid. Do I make myself clear?" He gave her the Potter grin once more.
"Whatever you say Princess," he teased. "Still not sure why you're so set on helping me though. We barely know each other." She sighed and met his emerald eyes with her blue ones.
"Because you seem like a decent sort alright Potter? You never take credit for all the things you've done over the years, though I'm not sure how many of them are true. They say you killed Moldy Shorts which made you a hero to damn near everyone. They've made books and toys about you and yet you have never once flaunted it, which is more than we can say about that pompous git Malfoy whose only ability is to whine and cry to his father." She looked at him and put her hand on her hip. "Happy?"
"Absolutely Princess." He got to his feet and wiped the dirt off his butt. "There is one thing though…" She raised an eyebrow.
"And what's that?"
"My friends call me Harry."
"Very well P...Harry. I SUPPOSE you can call me Daphne then."
"Aww...thanks Princess."
"I swear to Merlin…"
"You probably shouldn't." He grinned once more. "In all honesty though. Thank you for coming out here tonight Pri...Daphne and thank you for your help in the tournament. With as much as Hermione talks about you rivaling her, I know I'm in good hands." Daphne smirked.
"Keep dreaming golden boy. Now we should probably head back inside." Harry bowed deeply.
"As you wish Princess." She rolled her eyes and smirked as the pair of them made their way to the castle. As they approached the doors, he looked at her. "Last chance to back out. I'm social suicide." She reached up and smacked the back of his head.
"I told you I was going to help you and I'm not changing my mind over what a bunch of morons think. Their opinions change with the breeze anyway." It was like the hallway froze as they entered. People stared and blinked their eyes, not knowing if what they saw was real or some kind of joke. Daphne held her head high as they started walking. "Head high. You could do a lot worse than being seen with me," she whispered, causing him to chuckle. In an instant the hallway unfroze and everyone scurried off to tell their friends and housemates what they saw. All except one who came rushing towards them. A girl with shoulder length black hair and a Slytherin uniform.
"Daphne where have you…" before she finished her sentence she noticed Daphne's companion. "Potter?" She looked back and forth between them until it looked like her head was going to explode.
"Yes….what about it," Daphne inquired. "I'm allowed to hang out with whomever I chose. Harry and I were talking about the Triwizard tournament and how I'm going to help him survive it."
"Oh it's Harry now...wait...were you two out snogging?" She asked a little loudly.
"Oh for the love of..no Tracey we weren't...and even if we were it had nothing to do with you." She had a serious look on her face as Harry chuckled.
"Oh come on now Princess. You could do worse than me." He grinned as Tracey stared in amazement at what he said.
"Don't you start too Golden Boy."
"My apologies, your highness." Tracey started laughing.
"What am I going to do with you two?"
"I believe Davis had a few ideas…" Daphne looked at him and rolled her eyes.
"Keep dreaming. Tomorrow. Library. 10 o'clock." With that she began walking down the hall, Tracey following after her.
"Good night Princess," Harry called after them. She gave him a look over her shoulder.
"Good night golden boy."
Harry couldn't help but smile on his way back to Gryffindor tower. Sure, the night had started out rough but it had definitely gotten better. He didn't know what it was but he had a feeling that he might actually make it through the tournament in one piece. Before he knew it, he was at the portrait. He spoke the password and entered. The room, like the entrance hall, stopped as he walked in. Hermione was on the couch and looked up at him relieved to see he was ok. She made her way toward him as did the twins. Hermione hugged him.
"Where have you been? I've been so worried about you."
"I went out to the lake and met a friend." Hermione raised an eyebrow.
"What friend?"
"Daphne if you must know." Hermione looked confused for a second. Then her eyes went wide.
"Daphne….as in Daphne Greengrass of Slytherin?"
"Wicked" The twins spoke together.
"We believe you by the way…"
"About not putting your name in the Goblet…"
"Unfortunately ickle Ronnikins…"
"Is throwing a tantrum…"
"Thanks guys. He's being a complete git right now." He turned back to Hermione while the twins went back to their scheming. "Yes Daphne Greengrass of Slytherin. She's a friend."
"Since when have you two been friends? I've never even seen the two of you talk."
"Since earlier tonight. She offered to help me survive the tournament. Besides, the whole thing is supposed to be about cooperation. Why not start with interhouse cooperation?"
"Do you think you can trust her?" Harry nodded.
"Between you and her, I've got the brightest minds in Hogwarts trying to keep me alive." He gave her the smile and she just shook her head.
