"Are these really magic wands, Grandma?" Marinette asked her grandmother as they left the toy store. "If you use your imagination, my fairy, they are whatever you want them to be," he grandma said. Marinette looked down at her new knitting supplies. "Will you help me learn?" she asked. "Of course! That's why I wanted to take you here in the first place," her grandma explained.
Over the next few weeks, Marinette slowly learned how to knit. Sometimes she had poked her finger, or had a small temper tantrum, but eventually it became natural to her.
"I'm the knitting fairy!" Marinette giggled one night. She was taking a break from her craft, sprawled out drawing herself as a fairy. Marinette liked her drawing, but there was something missing. She began to work on her pink sweater dress as she thought. When the dress was completed, Grandma said she would help with the wings.
"I've got it!" she said. She taped another sheet of paper, drawing a black cat with a bell around his neck granting his wish. "There," she said. "Now its perfect."
It was that knitting set that Marinette would realize that she wanted to be a fashion designer, but the "fairy" in her wanted to grant people's "wishes" by making them feel better. She didn't know Cat Noir was Adrien Agreste yet, but someday Marinette would be able to make his wish come true.
