Hinata awoke to her son's elbow in her ribs and the loud beep of an alarm in her ears. She rolled over to go back to bed but the large sticky note on her night stand caught her eye. It said "BORUTO'S FIRST DAY" in bold letters which made it hard to ignore. Her eyes went wide and she jumped up quickly. She had to get him up so he could make it on time.

"Boruto, baby we gotta get up. Do you remember what today is?" Hinata asked as she shook her son awake.

"I'm not a baby, momma. I'm four years old." Boruto said sleepily as he rubbed his eyes and sat up.

"Oh yes of course my love. I'm so sorry. You're mommy's big boy. You're going to school today." Hinata says exaggeratedly as she grabs him and makes her way to the bathroom.

With Hinata's job as VP of her fathers law firm she's able to afford nice things for both her and her son. She lives in a three-bedroom four-bathroom house. More than big enough for two people. Her son, due to his young age, still prefers to sleep with her. It gives her peace of mind as well but she would never admit that to anyone else. She washes up her son in the shower and brushes his teeth. She found it hard to style his hair. So she just ruffled it up and let it run free.

" What color do you wanna wear today, Bolt?" Hinata inquired even though she knew exactly what he was going to say.

" Pink!" the boy shouted excitedly.

"Of course love, we'll put on some of your brand new clothes. Try not to get them dirty when you go to school today." Hinata said as she kissed her son on the head.

Hinata got her son dressed in a pink shirt with screws on them, some black and pink joggers, and a black and pink jacket. She carried him downstairs and made him a nice breakfast with eggs and steamed rice even though he begged and pleaded for hamburgers. Hinata, of course, had to bribe him by telling him if he was clean when she picked him up she would take him out for his favorite burger. That got him excited enough to eat the rest of his food with no complaints. When he was done she decided that she would give him a pep talk just in case he was nervous.

"Alright, little one come give me a hug. Are you scared about your first day?" Hinata asked.

"A little bit momma, but I'm also excited to make some friends." Boruto shyly explained.

"That's alright. I want you to know that you have nothing to be scared about. You're going to go and you're gonna make so many new friends, meet your teacher, and learn some new things." She told him.

As Hinata finished talking to him they heard the bus honk. Hinata threw on a sweater and helped her son put on his backpack. They ran out to the bus and Hinata watched her son climb on and sit in his seat. Hinata watched the bus drive off and waved to it until it reached the end of the street. She walked back into her house and got ready for work. She wanted to go in early so she could get home in time to pick up her son. She expected him to have lots of stories to tell when she picked him up. What Hinata couldn't expect was that their lives were about to change forever.
