A/N: Before we get back to the Calzona universe… ABBA is back!? :-)))))))))))))) and Addison is coming back! :-D So exciting! I must admit I am a bit more hyped about ABBA because that's just like news of the century :-D, but I looooved Addison, it will be so refreshing to see her on the show again... And I can't wait to see her interact with Wilson! :-D.
Ahem, right, anyway, enough of my crazed-fan rambling, back to the story LOL… and so sorry for such a long delay, work has been hectic after the vacation and this turned out to be the longest chapter so far so I hope it makes up for the wait, however in the end I realized I need to split it in two because even I was getting lost in it haha ;-) and it would take me another few days to have the whole chapter ready for posting…
CHAPTER 16
NEXT MORNING
Arizona was lying on her side, gazing at the face of the woman next to her. The warmth of Callie's body was caressing her skin and she couldn't help imagine trailing her fingers along Callie's face to explore every corner of it, but choosing not to, simply so that she could still listen to Callie's even breaths that made her feel so blissful.
Now I understand why I married her… Arizona thought, Calliope… she smiled as she mentally repeated Callie's full name. I have never felt like this with any other woman. This calmness that I feel just by hearing her breathe next to me, and the way my heart starts beating faster thinking about running my fingertips along her skin… and I feel so happy just watching her sleep, how is that even possible?, she contemplated as her eyes focused on Callie's lips while fighting the urge to lean forward and kiss them.
Callie stirred and Arizona looked up, not sure if she wanted to see those gorgeous brown eyes again or she wanted Callie to keep on sleeping so that she could continue observing her and float in this bubble of happiness she felt. When Callie's eyes stayed closed, a part of Arizona still wished she had opened them, because she suddenly remembered what it felt like to get lost in those dark orbs and she wanted to experience it again, and now her body started feeling warmer as unexpected desire to touch Callie rushed through her body. Arizona kept her gaze at Callie's eye level as her left hand slowly started moving along Callie's arm, her fingertips grazing softly over Callie's skin, sensing her own abdominal muscles contract at the touch.
This is insane… Arizona thought while she observed in awe as her own body reacted to the contact her fingers were making with Callie's skin and she couldn't stop them from continuing up, towards Callie's face, because she really longed to trace her fingers over Callie's jaw and touch those perfect lips.
When Callie felt a tickling sensation on her bottom lip she shifted slightly and slowly opened her eyes, and then she felt like the sky had appeared in the room when she was met with the pair of bright blue orbs.
Arizona gasped and felt her heart start beating faster. There they are… those beautiful soulful eyes… she thought and when she saw Callie's lips move she felt like the vibration of Callie's voice travelled all through her body.
"Good morning," Callie said, a broad smile covering her face.
"Good morning," Arizona whispered as her own face mimicked Callie's reaction.
"How long have you been awake?" Callie asked softly.
"Oh, a while…," Arizona admitted, still mesmerized by the scene in front of her.
"Why didn't you wake me up?" Callie asked while her eyes followed the line of Arizona's lips and then gazed at Arizona's blond locks resting on the pillow. God, how I love morning Arizona, waking up to those gorgeous blue eyes, and her so relaxed, lying next to me… she thought and smiled softly.
"I couldn't stop staring at you, you are so beautiful…" Arizona whispered as her finger trailed over Callie's lips again.
Callie was already struggling to convince herself that she wasn't dreaming and hearing Arizona say those words made her feel even less awake.
"It all makes sense now…," Arizona continued as her eyes travelled from Callie's lips back to her eyes.
"What does?" Callie heard her own voice, not even sure how was it that her brain was even paying attention to what Arizona was saying.
"Why I asked you to marry me…"
Callie's both eyebrows shot up in surprise, "You have it all clear just after spending one night with me?"
Arizona let out an endearing giggle. "Last night was really amazing but that's not what I'm talking about."
"Umm… okay…" Callie's voice hesitated.
"I'm talking about how your presence makes me feel… just having you close to me gives my body so many different emotions, I feel at peace… and happy… and if I touch your skin… an instant wave of heat rushes through my body and all I want to do…" Arizona paused before she finished in a whisper, "is touch you more…"
Callie got lost in Arizona's eyes, her brain trying to comprehend all that was happening. She saw Arizona's lips move again.
"…and kiss you…" Arizona added as she leaned forward and closed the space between their lips.
"I feel like I'm dreaming…" Callie whispered, still struggling to convince herself that all of this was happening for real.
"Maybe I should make sure you wake up fully," Arizona teased as she slipped her hand around Callie's waist and rolled on top of her deepening the kiss.
A slight moan left Callie's throat and Arizona smiled and instantly distanced her lips.
"God, your moans are such a turn on…" she breathed out catching the darker shade that was now radiating from Callie's eyes and her lips immediately went back down, feeling her own stomach muscles clench at the touch of Callie's tongue.
When Callie felt Arizona's right leg slip between her own legs, air suddenly became a necessity, but before she could break the kiss Arizona's thigh had already made contact with her center and all she could do was moan loudly causing Arizona to push her tongue harder against her own as her thigh now started moving against Callie's nub.
"Arizona…" Callie breathed out.
"You turn me on so much, Calliope..." Arizona mumbled as her hand slipped lower and when she felt the wetness between Callie's warm folds, a loud moan escaped her lips.
"God… I just want to touch you and cherish every inch of your body, and give you pleasure, and love you…" Arizona mumbled in between kisses while her fingers roamed up and down Callie's slit, putting pressure on her now swollen pleasure nub.
Callie lost all ability to think or speak as she felt Arizona's fingers play with the sensitive part of her body that was now begging for a release. She buried her hands into Arizona's hair and pulled her in. She moved her hips up, following the rhythm that Arizona had set up and when she felt Arizona's fingers inside her walls, she arched her back as her hips slammed harder into Arizona's hand.
"Mmmm… ooooh God!" Callie moaned.
Arizona lost all connection to the space around them, nothing else existed, only Callie in front of her and around her fingers and under her tongue. She was feeling so many things but her mind could not process it all, instead she just let herself feel the awe that enveloped her own body as it reacted to the squirming and moans that Callie's body was producing while reacting to her touch. And when she felt Callie's walls hold tighter grip of her own fingers she groaned and pushed her fingers deeper as her palm put more pressure against Callie's pleasure bud. Callie's body immediately reacted and when Arizona made faster motions Callie quickly got lost in the wonderful sensations that overwhelmed her body as she lost all control of it. A few minutes later when Callie's back slumped on the bed, Arizona smiled as she felt Callie's heavy breath on her own neck. She caught Callie's lips again and let her body rest on top of her, craving to feel Callie on every inch of her own skin.
"Jesus, how do you do this…?" Arizona mumbled in between her own heavy breaths as she slowly took her fingers out.
Callie was still trying to breathe normally, her eyes closed, her chest heaving and she let out a satisfying moan with a happy giggle before she opened her eyes.
"Do what?" she finally asked as she looked into Arizona's eyes and her fingers started playing with Arizona's soft locks that were touching her shoulder.
"Make me feel all these things… it's just… it's overwhelming… and incredible… and there's so much passion and desire… and so much love… and happiness…, I never thought it was possible to feel all those things all at once…"
Callie looked at Arizona and observed her for a few moments, mesmerized by the words she had spoken, her thumb caressing Arizona's left cheek as she got lost in thoughts a bit. A puzzled smile appeared in the corner of her lips mixed with happiness and realization of what the words meant. Her eyes met Arizona's again as her fingers went through Arizona's hair but words were not coming out of her mouth.
"Where are you?" Arizona whispered.
"I'm just…" Callie started as her eyes followed her own fingers that were now trailing over Arizona's left shoulder. "You've never said those things to me before so I'm just wondering if it's because you are feeling different now."
"Hmm, well, this feeling seems somehow familiar to me so I'm sure I've felt the same, I just probably have a different perspective, being close to meeting the Creator and all that, you know."
Callie chuckled with a laugh. "I can think of a better way to get you to speak to the Creator," she teased as she flipped Arizona over and started tracing her lips down Arizona's neck, her tongue playing with Arizona's skin.
Arizona laughed out loud but then her laughter turned into a moan as Callie's mouth wrapped around her right nipple.
"Oh God!" Arizona breathed out and Callie smiled broadly.
"See, it's already working," she teased as she moved up and caught Arizona's lips.
Arizona laughed again and wrapped her fingers inside Callie's hair as she got lost in her lips.
"What time is it?" Callie asked through the kisses.
"Don't know, around 7 a.m. probably, you start at 9 today too, right? We should be getting up soon, and Sofia might wake up soon as well."
"Mm-hmm," Callie mumbled as her right hand roamed down Arizona's body. "Then I guess I better get back to where I was…," she said as her head moved lower and caught Arizona's left nipple while her fingers made contact with Arizona's folds.
"Mmmm… ahhh…," Arizona moaned and arched her back as she reminded herself to breathe when she felt Callie's lips trailing down her abdomen, Callie's tongue making languid patterns that were quickly starting to drive Arizona crazy.
"Fuck…, Callie…, don't torture me…" Arizona breathed out.
Callie chuckled and wished she could continue slowly worshipping every inch of Arizona's body, see her desire rise and take her to different levels of delight but she took solace in the thought that they would have more time for those things over the weekend as her mouth went straight to Arizona's center and she smiled broadly when she felt Arizona's body tremble at the touch of her lips.
"Ohhh God…" Arizona uttered and buried her fingers into Callie's hair as her hips bucked upwards seeking even more contact with Callie's tongue.
It didn't take long for Callie's moves to make Arizona moan and heave as her breaths of pleasure filled the room and soon she lost control of her body as trembles of climax took over. When she slumped on the bed Callie moved up, her lips leaving kisses on Arizona's skin, slowly tracing her path back to Arizona's mouth and then she let their lips sensually dance in post orgasmic bliss.
After a few minutes Callie slid to the side and entangled her legs with Arizona's as her hand wrapped around Arizona's waist, both smiling at each other as their eyes reflected the connection they both felt. Arizona led her fingers along Callie's jaw before she let them draw patterns over Callie's back. She pushed her body closer and pressed her mouth against Callie's lips again, wishing she could continue for hours.
Callie moaned lightly and wrapped her right hand into Arizona's hair pulling her closer.
When their lips separated they both sighed with content.
"I wish we didn't have to get up…" Callie whispered as her thumb caressed Arizona's chin.
"Me too," Arizona said, "luckily we have the whole weekend in front of us…"
Callie smiled broadly, "Exactly what I was thinking…" she said and Arizona laughed out loud and then she felt Callie's lips on hers again.
A few seconds later the baby monitor made a noise before they heard Sofia's voice come through it.
"Mommy," she called.
"There she is…" Arizona commented as a warm smile covered her face and Callie felt her heart swell with love just by seeing the reaction in Arizona's eyes to the sound of their daughter's voice.
"Let's go get her," Callie said and placed a quick kiss on Arizona's lips before she got up and walked to the bathroom. Arizona got on her feet and looked around, trying to find more items of her clothing apart from the jeans that were lying on the floor in the middle of the room.
"Umm, Callie, I don't think I have anything to wear so fast, I need to go through my bag," she informed as she passed Callie taking her turn in the bathroom too.
"I'll find something for you," Callie said with a smile and walked over to the wardrobe. She put on a T-shirt and shorts and grabbed some for Arizona too. When Arizona came back into the room Callie placed a kiss on her cheek.
"Here, you always look so adorable in my clothes anyway," she said with a smile, "too bad I won't have time to rid you of them soon."
Arizona laughed, "I can put them on tonight and you can take them off."
"Ohh, I like that idea," Callie said as her eyes travelled along Arizona's body watching her get dressed, and then she took Arizona's hand before her mind could start playing distracting images and pulled her towards the door.
"Come on mama, Sofia will be excited to see you."
Arizona smiled broadly and followed Callie to Sofia's room.
When they appeared at the door Sofia immediately held her arms out.
"Mama!" she exclaimed with a happy giggle.
"Good morning sunshine!" Arizona said smiling broadly as she took Sofia into her arms and placed a kiss on her cheek. Sofia wrapped her arms around Arizona's neck and rested her head on her shoulder. Callie reached over and caressed Sofia's hair.
"Hi baby, did you sleep well?" she asked softly and Sofia lifted her head and stretched her arms towards Callie.
"Mommy!" she said with a smile.
Arizona tucked a stray hair behind Sofia's ear, "You wanna go to mommy?"
"Ohh, come here baby," Callie cooed as she took Sofia into her arms and kissed her cheek. "Let's get you dressed…"
Sofia turned to Arizona and held her arms towards her again, "Mama!" she called and Arizona laughed.
"Is she going to switch between us the whole morning?"
"Apparently," Callie laughed.
"Let me get her dressed and you go and have a shower or we will be late," Arizona said as she caressed Sofia's back.
"Yeah, good idea, okay," Callie agreed and leaned forward. She placed a kiss on Sofia's cheek and then a peck on Arizona's lips.
"I'll be quick," she said and left the room.
"Okay baby girl, what do you want to wear? Mama has to find some clothes for myself as well, will you help me find some clothes in my bag?"
"Bag," Sofia repeated.
"Yes, mama has to find some clothes inside the bag."
"Inside," Sofia mumbled as she played with a toy Arizona gave her and then started mumbling one of the children's songs.
Arizona smiled softly and looked lovingly at the child in front of her. She finished dressing Sofia while singing the same song with a big smile on her face. A few minutes later she took Sofia to the living room and placed her on the floor puzzles as she opened her bag that was next to them. She took a few items out and soon Sofia joined her, sat down next to the bag and started taking clothes out as well.
Arizona giggled as Sofia kept on handing her new items from the bag.
"Now you're giggling but wait until she makes a mess of it all and then you will regret it," Callie teased as she entered the room as well.
"Oh, I don't mind, look at her, she's just so adorable unpacking my bag," Arizona said happily.
Callie shook her head with a smile and walked over, "Come on baby, let's have something to eat, are you hungry?" she said and took Sofia into her arms.
"Yum…," Sofia said and made Arizona giggle.
"I love it when she says yum," Arizona said as she turned around to catch another glimpse of their daughter. She placed a kiss on Sofia's temple as her hand caressed Callie's back. She smiled at Callie and kissed her lips before she headed to the bathroom.
A big grin radiated from Callie's face as she watched Arizona leave the room, "Okay, baby girl, mama will get a shower, what would you like to eat?"
"Jam!" Sofia exclaimed and Callie laughed.
"Okay, jam it is," she said as she walked over to the fridge holding Sofia in her arms.
When Arizona came back she took a cup of coffee and leaned against the counter smiling at the scene of Sofia munching happily in her high chair. Callie looked up and when their eyes met she smiled back. She left small pieces of bread on the chair tray for Sofia and walked over to Arizona. She took Arizona's mug and placed it on the counter and then cupped her cheek before she leaned over and gave her a lingering kiss while her left hand slid around Arizona's waist and pulled her in. Arizona smiled and wrapped her fingers inside Callie's hair as she got lost in her lips for a few minutes.
"Out, out," Sofia started shouting and they both broke the kiss with a giggle. Arizona left another quick peck on Callie's lips and then headed over to Sofia while Callie got herself some more coffee. She was the one leaning against the counter now, lovingly looking at Arizona and Sofia in her arms.
"How about we go to the park during lunch today?" Arizona asked caressing Sofia's back.
"Yes, park!" Sofia screamed with excitement.
"Sure, I'd love that," Callie said and smiled broadly loving every second of the morning that she was spending with her girls and looking forward to more that was still to come.
Three hours later Arizona was in NICU, just having finished checking up on several babies and allowing her mind to reminisce about the moments from her night with Callie when Alex joined her.
"So, married life seems to be working well for you," Alex teased seeing a big grin on Arizona's face.
"Oh my God, Alex, last night was amazing, we had so much sex and sex with Callie is earth shatter..."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, I didn't ask for details Robbins!" Alex interrupted as he placed his hand in front of him as if to protect himself from Arizona's comment.
Arizona chuckled, "Right, sorry... how was your evening?" she asked as they stepped out of NICU.
"It was nice, I drank beer and hung out with Wilson, she's actually cool, it was fun!"
"Oh reeeaaally," Arizona teased with a smile.
"Oh stop it! We're just friends!"
"Uh-huh," Arizona said with a smile.
"Whatever!" Alex scoffed and turned around. "See you later Robbins."
"You're running away Alex!" Arizona yelled after him.
"I've got work to do and we are just friends!"
"Keep on telling yourself that, maybe it will sound more convincing," Arizona yelled after him and laughed.
I feel good and happy, and I want these feelings to go on forever, she thought with a smile and started walking towards Dr. Bailey's office who was still serving as Assistant Chief in charge of the hospital and its staff.
"Dr. Bailey!" Arizona called when she saw Miranda cross the hallway in front of her. Bailey turned around and waited for Arizona to join her.
"Dr. Robbins, how's your day going, everything okay?"
"Yes, yes, everything is great, I feel good, I feel great actually, and I was wondering if maybe I could go back to normal shifts next week?"
"Arizona, you've been working the shorter shift for one week, and only a month and a half ago you were barely alive," Miranda stated with sternness in her voice as she crossed her arms on her chest.
"Well…, err… I just thought…, I mean, I feel fine…" Arizona stuttered, wondering again how this woman could be so scary and give out such a protective vibe at the same time.
"Let's give it one more week Dr. Robbins, and then we can revisit the decision."
Arizona simply nodded her head.
"Besides, why don't you use the extra free time to enjoy with your wife, I heard you're now family reunited again," Miranda commented with a smile.
"Oh, umm yeah, how did you know that?"
"There are no secrets in this hospital, Dr. Robbins, especially not from me," Miranda teased, "I'm happy for both of you," she added as she pressed the button to call the elevator.
Arizona laughed, "Thank you Dr. Bailey," she said as she debated whether to follow Bailey in and try to push again for regular working schedule.
"Set up a meeting next Friday and we can talk about regular shift, but not before Arizona, you need time to settle back in."
Well I guess I won't be taking that elevator after all, Arizona thought. "Right, okay," she said and nodded her head.
Bailey entered the elevator and looked at Arizona before the doors closed.
"Now go back to work, Dr. Robbins!" her voice turned stern again making Arizona straighten her back.
"Yes, of course!" Arizona replied and went on her way back to the Peds ward.
At that same time Callie was having some coffee in the Attending's lounge, her eyes sparkling with happiness as she too replayed the scenes from the night before.
"Ohhhh, someone's on cloud nine!" Mark commented when he entered the room. He turned the chair opposite Callie around and sat down in straddling position. "Do tell, Torres!"
"Arizona came home last night," Callie said, a broad smile radiating from her face.
Mark clapped his hands, "Ha! See I told you! And wow! That was actually faster than I thought!"
"Mm-hmm," Callie mumbled her mind still lost in her night and morning with Arizona.
"You had sex all night, didn't you?" Mark asked with an amusing smile.
"And this morning too…" Callie replied grinning broadly.
"Oh details please!" Mark asked as he leaned forward, "Is it even better? Is she wilder than she used to be?"
"Mark! I am not going to share intimate details with you, so go away!" Callie said as she got up to leave the room and get away from her nosy friend.
"Oh come on Torres, I haven't had any action in two months! Just give me something!" Mark said as he walked behind her.
"It's been only a month and a half Mark, don't be a baby!"
"Hey! I'm not complaining, I love Lexie, I'm happy I have her back! Was it hot? Come on, you can tell me that!" Mark tried again as Callie stepped out of the room.
"Goodbye Mark!" Callie yelled back as she waved her hand in dismissive manner.
"You're no fun, Torres, no fun at all!" Mark yelled after her as he turned around and bumped into Arizona who had rounded the corner a few seconds before.
"Oh, hey Mark!" Arizona greeted. "You're wrong you know, she was loads of fun last night," Arizona said as she leaned forward and then whispered into his ear, "loads…" she repeated in suggestive voice, "all… night… long…" she added before she continued on her path leaving Mark standing in his spot with mouth wide open, speechless, not having expected Arizona to share anything similar in this way with him.
Friday flew by and Callie and Arizona spent the weekend being outside with Sofia during the day and making the best of the time when Sofia was asleep. It was Sunday evening and they had already had their first round of love making. Arizona's head was resting tucked into Callie's neck caressing Callie's abdomen while Callie's fingers trailed imaginary patterns along Arizona's back, each of them getting lost in their own thoughts as the energy between them suddenly got a bit heavier.
Arizona took a deep breath and then asked the dreaded question.
"So what now?" she said as she looked up at Callie.
"What do you want to do?" Callie asked, not surprised by the question since they had touched the topic over the weekend but somehow always ended up in bed before even attempting to talk about it.
"Umm… well… I really don't want to go too fast…" Arizona started with a bit of hesitation in her voice.
"And we are suddenly going at warp speed…" Callie said with a sigh.
"I…," Arizona started and propped herself on the elbow, "honestly, I don't really know what to do… I want to be with you all the time, but I also feel like going too fast and not allowing enough time to get to know each other might mess things up later and I don't want that to happen, I want us to build something stable…"
Callie nodded her head, "Okay, so tomorrow we move Sofia's crib here and set her room for you."
Arizona let out a heavy sigh. "I will feel lonely…"
"I'll be just a few yards away…"
"So if I feel lonely, can I sneak into bed next to you?" Arizona asked with a smile.
"Umm… maybe we should make some rules if that happens…," Callie replied with a chuckle.
"Rules? What kind of rules?" Arizona asked squinting her eyes.
"Well, you know, no sex or something, like we can have sex over the weekend, but we use the weekdays to get to know each other."
"But you already know me?" Arizona protested making Callie laugh.
"You are different…, and it's kind of like it used to be at the beginning of our relationship, so it feels like I'm getting to know you all over again."
Arizona distanced her head and looked at Callie.
"Does that bother you… that I'm not the same?"
Callie averted her eyes for a few moments and then looked back up as her fingers continued to caress Arizona's side.
"I wouldn't say it bothers me… I just… I miss that other version of you sometimes…, it's weird, it's like you are here but not completely, even though you are here in front of me… umm… it's difficult to explain."
"Kind of like having a wife that you don't fully remember, that type of a weird feeling…"
Callie chuckled, "Yeah, that type of a weird feeling," she repeated and caught Arizona's lips but a few seconds later Callie tried to distance herself away.
"We should stop…" she whispered reluctantly.
"No... please... don't stop," Arizona pleaded and pulled Callie on top of her. "No new rules until tomorrow…"
Callie laughed through the kisses, "Good call…" she mumbled with a smile and soon they got lost in the moment as they let their bodies have a conversation of their own.
MONDAY EVENING
Callie and Arizona were standing in the living room, already having said their goodnights but their lips kept on being glued to each other.
"I don't want to go…" Arizona whispered.
"I can see that," Callie chuckled softly. "We don't have to do this…"
"Okay, this is silly, it's not like I'm moving out…" Arizona said as if scolding herself.
"And you can change your mind any time…"
"Right…" Arizona nodded her head. She took Callie's hand and walked her towards the bedroom. "I will miss you…" she whispered and placed another kiss on Callie's lips.
Callie smiled, "I will miss you too…" she said as she felt her heart sink when Arizona started distancing her body but still holding onto Callie's hand as far as it would go.
"Good night…" Arizona whispered.
"Good night…" Callie whispered back and watched until Arizona disappeared from her view. She sighed before she turned around and entered the bedroom alone. She closed the door and leaned against it. She looked at Sofia sleeping soundly in her crib and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath and then walked over to the bed, trying hard to stop her mind from remembering the sight of Arizona lying on the other side of it. She turned the light off and got under the covers.
On the other side of the apartment, Arizona was lying on her back, staring at the ceiling, fighting the urge to get up and walk over to the bedroom.
This is ridiculous, I'm a big girl, I can do this for a few days, she thought as she turned on her side and closed her eyes. A few minutes later she turned on her back again and opened her eyes with a sigh.
"This was a stupid idea, what was I thinking," she mumbled as she sat on the side of the bed, she put her slippers on and got up and then stopped. I am acting like a child!, she thought and laughed at herself. She sat back down on the bed and shook her head, then took her slippers off and let her body lie back on the bed. She closed her eyes and decided to focus on her own breathing and soon her body gave in as sleep finally took over.
In those same moments Callie had already walked over to the door and was now holding the door knob as she debated whether to step out or not. She turned around and directed her eyes towards Arizona's side of the bed and then her hand opened the door on its own. Callie's left foot was already outside the room when Sofia's voice stopped her.
"Mommy, water," Sofia called and Callie immediately stopped in her tracks. She sighed and turned around, slowly closing the door behind her. She walked over to Sofia and smiled as she gave her the bottle.
Sofia took a few sips and slipped back into sleep and Callie smiled as she caressed Sofia's hair.
"I shouldn't go there, right baby?" she commented as she watched Sofia's chest move up and down slowly. She sighed and walked back to bed.
"Sofia knows best," she whispered with a smile and got under the covers again.
