Maggie Pesky in the Human World
Maggie Pesky wanted to know what it was like in the human world. Since her show ended after one season, she decides to go take a look for herself but she is a tiny fly so she had to find a way to be the size of a human. She flies around for a while until she encounters a science lab. "Hmmm. A science lab." she said. "Maybe this will help me grow into the size of an actual human." She finds a little crack in the building and flies right in. She sees two scientists working on a few test subjects which were actual lab rats and frogs. Since she was small, she had the advantage. She flew to the scientists and does what a fly usually does, buzz in their ear. They try to shoo her away but she flew right on top of their experiment. One of them used their hand to try to swat her but they accidently hit the on button which causes it to zap Maggie. She grew slowly until she was the exact same size of a 6th grade student. The scientists screamed in horror as they looked at the massive bug and they ran out the lab. "What's their problem?" she asked. She goes to a mirror and then realized she was actually the size of a human. "Aw yeah! I can't wait to do what humans usually do on a daily basis." She flies out the lab and started to explore the human world.
People stare at her in awe and fear as they have never seen a giant fly in real life but only in movies. She tries to ignore them but they were too grossed out by her and tried not to throw up. "Wow. Looks like everyone is having a bad day." She said not knowing that they are actually way more afraid of her now than when she was tiny. The first thing she's trying to do is sneak into an R-rated movie. The ticket holder ran away in fear as he saw her. She shrugs and walks right in. She goes to the concession stand and of course the same people ran away in fear from her. The movie she went to see was called Deadpool 2. She takes her seat and started watching the movie. Since the movie was over 2 hours long, she started to feel sleepy as she tried not to close her eyes since this is her first movie as a human sized fly and she wanted the full experience from it. As soon as she was starting to fall asleep, the movie was over and she got up. After she left the theater, she goes to a playground that is full of kids. Of course, they saw her and ran off but she just shrugs and decides to swing on the swings. She swung higher and higher until she fell off and faceplanted in the ground. After she got up, she goes to the slide and slid down. "Wheee!" she yelled as she was having fun the playground by herself.
Eventually, it got dark and Maggie had to find a place to stay so she tries to find a hotel that can take her in for free since she doesn't have any money. She searches but every hotel rejected her since she's a giant fly. She kept looking and looking until one hotel actually took her in because it was empty and a little torn down. She goes inside and as expected, everything was a mess and out of place. She finds a room and lays down in the bed. She had some trouble sleeping since the bed she's on is uncomfortable and tearing apart but then she fell asleep as she just had to deal with it. The next day she got up slowly. "That was one of the most terrible nights I ever had." she said. Overnight, she could hardly sleep because the bed was so broken down, she was laying on a couple of springs and she had no blanket so she was very cold. Plus, the windows are shattered so she was definitely freezing her butt off. After she left the hotel, the next place she wanted to explore in the human world was a restaurant. She takes a seat and surprise surprise, everyone ran out except the employees and manager since they still have to be paid. The manager goes up to her and said, "What would you like today young lady?" she was actually a little shocked that he wasn't disgusted at her for being a fly. She looks the menu and said, "I'll take the waffles and hash browns." He nods, takes her menu, and then goes back to doing what he does. While she waits on her breakfast, she starts listening to music on her phone with headphones in. 10 minutes later, her food comes and she starts eating. After she was done, she paid for the meal and walked out of the restaurant to go on with her day.
She walks around the busy streets of the city and she sees a mother carrying her baby around in a stroller. Maggie waves to them but the lady turns her stroller around and runs away terrified. She shrugs and continues to walk around as the humans will not stop being afraid of the giant fly. So far, Maggie is struggling in the human world since everyone is afraid of giant bugs and prefer them to be their normal size which is small. She wanted to go back home but she doesn't know how to go back to her normal size. "I hope I'm not going to be this size forever." she said. "That wouldn't be good at all. I might accidentally step on my whole if I stay this way." She had to figure out how to shrink down to her normal size again. But before she did that, she wanted to do the one thing she always dreamed of being: a famous rock star. Maggie knows how difficult that's going to be but she's confident in herself and believes that she can be successful. She pulls out her guitar, plugs it in her amp, and starts rocking out. Some people heard her music and decided to check it out for themselves. For once, they didn't run off in fear but they actually enjoyed her music. Since she was performing on the street, they started to give her cash and change and they started to cheer loudly. Maggie cried tears of joy as she is finally getting the recognition she deserved.
The fun didn't last long thought as it started to rain and everyone grabbed their umbrellas then went inside in their homes but Maggie didn't have an umbrella or a home so she grabbed as much as her money as she could and tried to find shelter fast before she gets extremely soaked. She tried to go in other people's houses for shelter but they decline her offer and slammed the door in her face. She was running out of options because it started to rain a little harder. She had no other choice but she ends up in a trash can and closed the lid. Fortunately, the trash was empty so it was a little bit of relief for her. Eventually, the rain stopped and Maggie gets out of the trash can and now she was ready to go back home. She went back to the lab where she got to be human sized in the 1st place hoping that the scientists are there and fortunately, they were. When she went inside, she said to them, "Please help me go back to my normal size. Don't be afraid of me. I just wanna go home to see my family and friends." They looked at each other and nodded in agreement. One of them said, "Ok. We'll help you, giant fly. Just step into that machine." She goes in the machine and waits for something to happen. They push a button and the machine started to activate.
After they turned it off, Maggie was now back to her normal size. She flies to them and said, "Thank you so much. I'm surprised you didn't run off screaming when you saw me walk in." We saw what you did on the street." they said. "You're going to be an awesome rock star one day. Keep on achieving your goals and chasing your dreams." "Thanks guys. I really appreciate it." She shakes their massive hands with her tiny hands and she files back home. As soon as she steps inside her house, her family rushed up to her and her mom said, "Maggie Pesky, where have you been? We've been worried sick." "I've been in the human world mom." said Maggie. "It was kind of a struggle at first but then I got used to it and I got a whole lot of money from being a street performer too." She shows them all the money she earned from doing what she does best which is shred her axe. Her father said, "Young lady, how many times do we have to tell you not to go to the human world? It's very dangerous." "But dad, I was the size of a human. A machine accidentally zapped me and just like that, I was a giant fly." Her parents didn't believe her because she did run off without their permission which causes them to send Maggie to her room grounding her. She didn't care though because she knew seeing the human world the size of an actual human was pretty sweet.
