Chapter 1: Escaped Run.

"Leave it alone, Harry!" her voice cut through to him.

The young man, that this young woman was scolding him about, was a very famous wizard. Not only did he defeat the most powerful wizard of all time, not once, not twice, not even a third time! But a fourth time, did he at last conquer over the evil of Lord Voldemort.

Who is this young man you ask? It's none other than Harry Potter.

The young woman before him was his best friend since going to Hogwarts all those years ago. Hermione Granger. The Brightest Witch of her age.

"Harry!" She snapped at him and took the box from him.

"I'm sorry, Hermione, just lost in my thoughts I guess," he said, sheepishly looking at the ground.

The box that he was holding was that of importance. It was important because today was the final court hearing against of the last Death Eater of Lord Voldemort's group: Rubia Brevil.

"Let's go over the facts once more of this memory box," Hermione said, looking at her friend.

Harry heavily sighed and said "Fine, but it's the last time, Hermione,"

"Good. Now, we know that Rubia was born a few years before you," she began.

"Yeah, who would believe that a Hufflepuff would go evil," Harry commented back with a sad shake of his head.

"Her father sold her to the Death Eaters. From what Lavender has told me, from just the normal checkups within the hospital, her memory was pulled from her in order for her to comply with what the Death Eaters wanted," Hermione countered him.

Harry remained silent. It reminded him of something that Narcissa had owled to him. Why Bellatrix Lestrange had gone mad in the first place. The memories of their father ripping the memories from Bellatrix in order to follow in their family's legacy.

"Tragic," was all he said back, adjusting his glasses on his face.

Hermione silently nodded to him. A few wizards and witches walked by, their case was highly sensitive on who turned in Rubia Brevil.

"She evaded capture until a few of her new recruits came to us. They still fear for their lives being in danger," Harry summoned it up.

"There's nothing more than we can do, Harry. Until she is completely gone, they will have to remain where they are," Hermione said, knowing that there was nothing else to do for this recruit.

"Yeah but I'm sure Ron isn't too happy," Harry agreed with her.

"What do you mean?" Hermione asked him, gently walking towards the rebuilt fountain.

Harry's eyes strayed to the statue of his God father and Remus Lupin with Tonks. It was a memorial to celebrate those who fought to end Lord Voldemort's insane view of his world, for freedom.

"Ron wasn't too…thrilled, shall we say, that Malfoy was the one who had this recruit show up at his home," Harry mumbled low.

Perplexed, Hermione then said "Show up at his home? As in, show up at Draco's Manor?"

"Yeah, Draco will be the main key in this case, Hermione. For somehow, he got the entire story out of this person. We've come a long way," Harry said, staring at his god father's statue now.

Hermione knew that she wouldn't get any more information on this from her best friend.

A roar and a flash of green flames licked the fireplace closet to them then. Both friends turned, watched as a man who was 6'1 tall, thin but had near bleach white hair and, cool sky blue eyes watched them back in return.

Despite of what they all gone through in their childhood to adults, it wasn't surprising that Harry felt the twitch of his finger wanting to draw out his wand.

"Potter," the man greeted him with a hesitant nod.

"Harry relax, for god's sake!" Hermione scolded him when she saw his hand itching to his pocket where his wand was stored.

"Sorry, Malfoy. Old habits," Harry greeted his old rival, nodding to him, stuffing his hands into his pants pockets.

Draco Malfoy. The Heir of the Malfoy family and was death eater. "The boy who had no choice" was very popular among people these days.

"So it's just us three?" Draco asked them, looking slowly around the fountain.

"Yes, Ron is off to see his brother Charlie, in Romania," Hermione said back.

Draco nodded again and then said "Shall we get this rolling?"

The two Gryffindors nodded and they walked to the lifts.

No one had seen Draco recently. Not after the battle of Hogwarts. His family and he went under the radar and evaded prison once again. It sent a huge up roar within the Wizarding community about Lucius and Narcissa not going to Prison.

Lucius had made a deal with Harry, that if he gave the list of every single death eater, follower or supporter, of Lord Voldemort, the entire family wouldn't go to prison. Instead, Harry had given the Malfoy family a house arrest prison. It wasn't what Lucius and Narcissa wanted, but it was ten times better than Azkaban Prison.

Harry knew from the start that Lucius and Narcissa would never join in on the rehabilitation lessons that Draco did. He never saw them join in or just walk by when these appointments were made. So, he sneakily put them in their probation appointments.

The only reason why Draco was able to leave his home was with permission from Harry to the Minister of Magic: Kingsley Shacklebolt.

As the lift lurched to a halt sideways, sending everyone sharply to the right, the doors opened.

"Level 10, court rooms," said a woman's voice to them all.

Draco sneered as he fixed his suit and tie after he stepped out of the lift. Hermione and Harry did the same with their outfits and walked down the hallway.

Things really haven't changed all that much with this area of the Ministry. Still the same black walls. Still the dark stones of the courtrooms and wooden benches for the jurors.

"No...M… media?" Draco asked Harry, hesitant to walk inside.

"Not in the hallways…" Harry said, knowing that Draco hated the media these days. "And they can't ask you any questions until well after the court hearing, Malfoy,"

Draco nodded once again, mentally bracing himself for what was on the other side of the wooden door.

"I take it that discussion with Kingsley worked?" Hermione asked Harry with a soft smile.

"I don't know what you're talking about Hermione," Harry said back, opened the door and walked inside.

Hermione walked in after Draco had some time to collect himself.

The Media had its own section now, instead of being on the floor. It was off to the left side. Kingsley took in what Harry and Hermione had said of how Muggles do it with their court system.

Kingsley walked in from the door, holding his black leather brief case.

An old protector was magically set in place over on the right wall. It was a brand new way of getting memories for everyone to see, unlike the prisoner just speaking from memory. Again, it was taken from Harry and Hermione suggestions.

"Good Morning," Kingsley greeted everyone. "Today is going to be the last day of the court hearing of Rubia Morgana Brevil,"

Harry glanced over at Hermione who looked back at Kingsley.

The door on the opposite side of the room; where Harry and they came from, opened. Scuffling and someone falling with a thud could be heard.

Gone were the days, that someone would just pop up from the ground in an iron rusting narrow cage, with hand turned wands put around the prisoner.

Calmly, with an air of haughtiness, a woman with rich brown curly hair walked into the courtroom. Draco glanced over at Hermione on this, which shook her head 'no' at him.

What Hermione had implied was that when the Aurors had caught Rubia she was in nothing but dirty clothes and messy hair. How she got the new robes, her hair fixed with makeup is beyond what Hermione could give at the moment.

"Ladies and gentlemen, let the court hearing NHP987931 begin," Kingsley stated loud enough for everyone to hear.

The projector came to life then, dimming the entire room with the memory playing before them on the wall.

It showed on May 11th the small group that Rubia was with. They were in town full of muggles from the looks of it. Pulling out their wands, they pointed up to the sky, the skull opening its mouth to let a snake come through appeared in the clouds.

People were suddenly looking up, pointing to the weird moving clouds.

A bright flash happened then!

Now the people were screaming, running in all directions, as more flashes of magic zoom and zipped at the unprotected muggles.

Draco knew that the sounds couldn't be played yet; they were still working on that bit, but it didn't make the knot forming in his stomach go away either.

That memory had ended as another popped up. This one had Draco pale at what he was seeing.

It was a woman, no older than Hermione, screaming and twitching uncontrollably, as she was being tortured by the Cruciatus Cruse.

"It'll be over soon," Hermione whispered low when she saw him stare at the ground.

And she was correct: it was over on that memory. There were hundreds more to be shown in the next 3 days. After 45 minutes of memory after memory being shown to the entire court of people being tortured or killed, the lights came back to normal.

Draco got up, walked over to the door and left. Hermione got up and followed after him.

Using her eyes, she saw the last swish of his robes go through the door. She ran after him as she opened the door and then heard the heaving sounds in the nearby bathroom.

Not caring if it was the men's bathroom, she walked in and leaned against the sink as one of the stalls was in use.

The toilet had flushed and the door slowly swung back.

"What are you doing in here, Granger?" the rough voice greeted her ears.

She looked up and said "I wanted to know if you were alright,"

"I'll never be alright," he sneered at her.

Hermione stared and softly said "I'll be outside. Please don't make a run for it. I already ran in these blasted heels to keep up with you,"

"Then you shouldn't have worn those kind of shoes here," he spat back, walking over to the sink.

Shaking her head, Hermione walked out of the bathroom and waited near the drinking fountain.

Thing have been different since the war had ended; mostly that of Draco. His parents were stuck in their ways of thinking, but not him.

"You don't need to hold my hand, Granger," his voice cut through her thoughts.

"I'm just concerned is all," she told him, looking up into his steel gray eyes.

Draco's jaw went taunt but he didn't say anything back. He knew that she was just concern for his well being, but also it was none of her business either.

Footsteps could be heard walking down the hallway as both of them looked up. It was Harry.

"You two, good?" He asked, his eyes darting between the two.

"Fine, Potter," Draco lazily replied and walked past him.

Hermione softly sighed to herself and said "Yes, Harry,"

Harry nodded and said "Well, we have to get back, Hermione,"

"Alright. I just hope …that this will not… take too long," she hesitated glancing where the door then shut where Draco was at.

Harry glanced over his shoulder and then walked closer to her, whispering low "We have all of 3 days. Malfoy wasn't the only one who was troubled by the memories being replayed for everyone to see. If need be, I can talk to Kingsley about giving 15-20 minutes at Lunch or something,"

Hermione nodded and then asked "Have you heard from Ron at all?"

Perplexed by this change of topic, Harry then answered "Yes, but it's something that you don't want to hear, Hermione,"

"We're not dating Harry, and I can easily take it. I'm not made out of thin layer of glass," she retorted, giving him a stern look.

He sighed and then said "He brought Lavender Brown along with him to where Charlie is in Romania,"

"Okay," she said, shrugging at him.

"Come on, let's head back," Harry swiftly said, turning around and walking away.

Hermione sighed, knowing that her own emotions were getting the better of her. She walked after Harry back into the courtrooms and mentally braced herself for what else to come.

3 days later

It was the toughest court hearing that Hermione had to endure, but thankfully it was all over. True to what had happened within Rubia's memories, a lot more of murdering and torturing happened. There was one point where Rubia was tortured herself by one of the other higher ranking Death Eaters for not completing her task. However, no one really felt that much remorse for her.

Kingsley walked in and stood next to his chair staring at the jury.

"Good morning. These past few days have been difficult for everyone who has witnessed the memories of Rubia Morgana Brevil. The last day, at 3PM, I will give the final decision on Rubia's fate. Jury, you until then to come to your conclusion," he said loudly for everyone to hear.

The jury all stood up, walked out of the courtroom and now all everyone had to do was wait for the verdict.

During the hours that they all had to wait on, that Hermione got some extra work done. It was also during this time that she passed some new laws into the Wizarding world.

And so, when 3PM came around, she shuffled her notes into her brief case and walked back to the courtrooms.

In the lift, she wasn't alone, but the man beside her was giving her the creeps vibe. Something was extremely off about this person. But, he was dressed in a full black striped tuxedo, sandy brown hair trimmed and brushed back. Facial was clean but, it was his determined blank brown eyes that disturbed Hermione the most.

Holding onto the latch tightly, Hermione felt the lurch of the lift come to a completely abrupt halt. The force of it sent her towards this weird man, but quickly righted herself and walked out of the lift when the doors opened.

Eyes followed her as she walked down the hallway of level 10 to the courtrooms.

Harry walked over to her when he saw her glance over her shoulder more than once.

"You okay?" he asked her in a hushed whisper.

"Yeah," she barely moved her lips.

The man that she saw on the lift was no longer there, which puzzled her greatly.

"What's wrong?" Harry then asked, pretending to look at one of her notes.

"I…" she hesitated but then said "Nothing,"

Harry glanced up at her and whispered still "Whatever it is that has you spooked, you can tell me, Hermione,"

"I know…just over thinking things," she then said, not wanting to bring attention to herself right now.

Harry adjusted his glasses, but it gave him time to glance around the room. The Media was very close to them and he understood why that Hermione was acting the way she was.

"These are great, just so you know," he said in his normal voice, handing back her notes.

"Thank you," she said in her normal voice as well.

Harry glanced over at Draco who was seated once more and said "Come on, let's go sit,"

Everyone had sat down as Kingsley walked in the courtroom.

"It would seem that the jury is taking a little bit longer than usual. However, it is expected that they go over everything to deliver their verdict," he said to everyone within the room.

When Rubia came into the courtroom, she was struggling for a little bit but then a soft subtle smirk appeared upon her face. It sent warning bells in Hermione's head as she looked over at Harry.

A few seconds later the door opened and the jury walked back inside.

Hermione scanned their faces and saw something that wasn't there before they left: They were pale and acted abnormally stiff as they walked to their seats. What was going on here?

Kingsley nodded as he then asked "Jury, what is your verdict?"

"We the Jury…" a man said, standing up and glanced over to the others "Find Rubia Morgana Brevil-"

He didn't get to say whether or not she was guilty or not guilty because at that moment, a jet of green had hit him. It caused people gasp but then scream in terror and flee from the room.

The person who killed him was a woman. She looked no older than Ginny or Hermione. Her blonde curly hair was in a half ponytail that pooled around her shoulders as her blue eyes smiled with glee as she tossed a wand to Rubia Brevil.

"No! Get her!" someone shouted as Harry, Hermione and Draco ran after the two women.

Down the hallway of level 10, spells were being thrown and hurdled at the trio. Hermione had crouched down, putting her arms up in front of her face.

A barrier went up as a spell collided with it.

WHAM!

"Thanks, Malfoy," Harry said, panting.

Draco said nothing as he scanned the area as he then saw the lift's doors closed.

"There!" both he and Harry said, pointing to it.

Hermione stood and ran after their escaped prisoners with the other two right behind them.

"Where did they go?" she asked, looking at the arrow that was moving.

It stopped at level 8, and then bounced to level 2, level 4, level 6, until finally it opened back at their level, level 10.

They held their wands at the ready, but when the doors slid open, there was no one there.

"Harry," Kingsley greeted them from behind.

Harry turned and walked up to him and said "The Last words of Dumbledore,"

Kingsley looked confused and then said "Harry is the best hope that we have. Trust him,"

Harry and everyone else breathed a sigh of relief and said "They stopped at levels 8, 2, 4, 6 and back here. I advised that we send in our best Aurors for the floors that have escape areas. Level 6 and 8. I will check the other floors,"

"I will join you Harry," Hermione said next, staring into his eyes.

"Hermione, I can't let you go," Harry shook his head 'no' at her.

"The more time that we waste talking, the more chances that they are already out of this building," she told him, grabbing Draco's wrist and walked into the lift. "We'll check the other floors just in case,"

Draco had a panic look but Harry just nodded as the doors slid shut.

"Let's go," Harry said, walking to another lift and pressing the button.

"Harry," Kingsley then spoke next "what happened today will reach the wizarding community. You have got to stop them,"

"I know," he vowed to Kingsley "And I'm sorry about earlier,"

"No. You didn't trust at sight, and that is good. You will be a fine Aurora of the Wizarding world yet," Kingsley countered.

Harry nodded and walked into the lift after the PING sound.

He only hoped that whoever was behind all of this was caught.

Full summary:

Hermione and Draco chase after the last Death Eater within the Ministry of Magic. A battle between the three of them ensues within the floor of the Hall of Time. Backed against the largest time turner, the knob turns 800 times after a spell activates it. Where did they land? How can they get back? And if they can't, what will they do within that alternate time line?

So, this fic is basically a Time Turner rewrite timeline, romance, alternate universe and adventure story. Rating: Mature. Be warned, it may be OOC at times, but please understand that this is a Fictional fan story. Also I will try not to have many deaths, but it can't be helped when it comes to War or a battle.
