Update: After finding myself drawn into Princess Looma from Omniverse, I decided to tweak the OC's/Ben's sexuality so he'd be attracted to her when I get around to Omniverse.
What a New Start
Hello there. If you want to know my name, don't bother because it won't matter. Anyway. A bit about myself before we dive right into the meat of the story. It's currently 2025 and I'm 20 years old and I work in a comic book store which gives me the opportunity to read what the store has and I'm such a comic book geek. I was raised by foster parents for a lot of my life because my parents passed away when I was really young, and they themselves have just recently passed. It was a bit rough but I managed to live a pretty good life overall.
Now that you know who I am, let's go ahead into the story.
I just woke up from my alarm clock right next to my bed with my roommate still asleep with his arm wrapped around me. He was gay and I'm straight but accepting and comfortable with other sexualities, so we felt comfortable sleeping in the same bed.
Anyway, I carefully lifted his arm off of me and then I sat up and turned the alarm off and saw that the time is 7:00 a.m. So I got out of the bed and grabbed a slice of bread to put into the toaster and I used the coffee machine to make a cappuccino. I then waited for both things to finish as I did, I looked at the Ben 10 boxset my roommate bought. I never saw the show but all I know about it is that it revolves around a kid named Ben Tennyson that has a device on his wrist called the Omnitrix that allows him to transform into aliens. Very cool concept and people have told me that it's up my alley, especially with the lore.
Either way, the toaster is done and the coffee is finished and so I grab the toast and butter it up and then I sit at the table and have my quick breakfast.
Then I hear my roommate wake up and he walks his way to the kitchen for his breakfast. For the curious reader, he is slender with pale skin. He's in his mid 20's and has a blonde mullet with brown eyes.
"Morning." I greeted him.
"Morning. You're in work today?" My roommate asked me. Today was his day off work which is at a graphics design office.
"Yeah. After that, I can join you in watching Ben 10." I said to him before I took a sip of my coffee.
I'll spare you the boring stuff and just say that we had our standard little chat we have every morning and then I went to the bedroom and changed into some clothes which are a basic t-shirt and jeans with trainers.
I said goodbye on my way out of the apartment and headed to my car which is a basic black Ford. I then started the car and drove for a good 4 minutes until some storm came out of nowhere. It was scary how it came out of nowhere. There was rain pouring down so hard that it was impossible to see and then a lightning bolt struck right in front of my car and I was distracted that I turned the wheel sharply and I ended up crashing the car into another car which caused my car to spin and I got so banged up that I knew I was dead the moment it stopped.
I prepared myself mentally for the fact that I was going to die which made me depressed because I was hoping to have a good life and live with a loving wife and kids and a successful career. Then when I took my last breath, darkness took over and I embraced what will come next.
Surprisingly I felt like I was being forced or pushed out of something and I feel physically different. I'm hearing a woman scream from being in absurd pain and for some reason, it's making me cry loudly. I also hear some other people but because of the woman screaming in pain.
Hold on. Being pushed out, a woman screaming and me feeling physically different and crying for no reason. Oh. My. God. I'm being born. I'm actually having another chance at life. I can actually cry in happiness at this revelation.
And as I was thinking of all of this, I was fully out of the womb and after cleaning me up, I was handed to my new mother. Upon seeing her as I opened my eyes, I saw a woman with long blonde hair and green eyes, she was gorgeous and I laughed with glee and my new mom smiled and cried tears of joy based on my actions.
"Hello, there. You are beautiful." She said to me as she stroked me gently.
"What are you gonna name him, miss?" A nurse asked my mother. And what she said next has to be the most shocking moment of my life currently.
"I'll name him Ben. Benjamin Kirby Tennyson." She proclaimed. WHAT?! I'm now Ben 10?! This means I'm now going to end up being a superhero eventually. In that case, I'll have to prepare myself for the moment I get the Omnitrix.
Rundown of my first 10 years
After being reborn as Ben Tennyson, I've managed to live quite a good life. I have a loving and caring mother who can cook really delicious food and provides nothing but love. Thing is, my dad isn't with us and when I eventually asked mom why, she said that it's so that he can keep us safe from his enemies but he is still married to my mom and manages to keep an eye on us somehow. She didn't say how exactly. It's as though she's hiding a lot of information about him. But if she says he loves her and knows about me, I can accept that. Growing up my mom has allowed me to read comic books and watch comic book movies, which is great since it can allow me to try and learn all the necessary lessons to be a hero.
My relationship with the rest of my family is very standard but I couldn't ask for better since I've always wanted a proper family. I have a very good relationship with my cousins, especially Gwen. Both of us get along so well and we're both smart in different ways like Spock and Kirk or Superman and Batman.
I adore Grandpa Max so much that I can't describe it. And those are the other family members I'll say stuff about for now.
Along with the comic books and comic book movies, I even took up learning all the necessary things to keep me educated and even took up gymnastics and martial arts so that I can be able to fight when I can't be able to use the Omnitrix.
At school I've got very good grades ranging from B's to A's. And I've had to deal with the school bullies, Cash and J.T. who are such a nuisance that I have to deal with and thanks to the martial arts lessons, they're afraid of me and so they try to bully people when I'm not around.
So, that has been the past 10 years of my new life. I'm currently on the last day of school before summer vacation arrives and here is where the journey begins.
And Then There Was 10
We're just about to finish our last lesson of the day at school and the whole time I've been looking at the clock so that summer vacation can start. I'm anxious and excited because Grandpa Max is going to take me on a trip in his RV throughout the US, which is something anyone can look forward to.
Our teacher then stood up and explained something about summer school which I didn't listen to since I'm not planning to go to summer school. And just as she finished, the bell rang, signalling the end of the school term and summer had just started.
"Yes. Let's get this show on the road." I said to myself as I put my bag on my back. I then walk out of the classroom and walk my way through the school to the front of the school so that I can wait for Grandpa to pick me up for the trip. I asked him to pick up my DC comics and particular films with my DVD player and my PS2 with some games. Oh and my laptop since my mom was kind enough to get me one after I did my chores for a whole month.
However, as I get to the pavement, I turn my head to the right and see Cash and J.T. trying to bully someone to give them their cash. Even on the last day of school, they don't give people a break. I make my way to them.
"Oi! Leave him alone." I said to them and they froze upon hearing my voice and then they slowly turned around and they looked like their blood turned cold.
"Oh, hey, Tennyson. We're just having a nice chat." Cash said trying to act chill but failing.
"No you weren't. You were trying to grab his cash. Now beat it unless you want an ass whooping." I threatened. And it worked as they screamed like little girls which made me laugh.
"Thanks for that." The kid said to me.
"It was nothing. See you at the end of the summer." I said and we parted ways, I stood by a tree in the shade since it was a little warm and then after 5 minutes of waiting, I see Grandpa's trademark RV, the Rust Bucket coming right to me and then it parked right in front of me and I saw Grandpa in the driver's seat with his trademark Hawaiian shirt.
"Hey sport. Let's go. We're burning daylight. I want to make it to the campsite by nightfall." He called out to me. I nodded with a smile and I ran to the door and entered the RV. Then I took off my bag and placed it somewhere, where it won't shake about.
"I'm so pumped for this trip." I exclaimed and then I felt as though there was someone else there in the RV and so I looked towards the side berth and there sat Gwen with a smirk on her face. I was surprised to see her here since she told me that she already planned her summer vacation.
"What the heck are you doing here?" I asked her, not hiding my surprise as I hugged her.
"A certain someone convinced my mom to put me on this trip, saying it would be a good experience for me." She explained with a smile. It was easy to see who that certain someone is.
"Grandpa…." I warned in a teasing manner and he chuckled upon hearing me.
"I thought that we'd be lonely if it's just us two, so I asked if your cousin Gwen can join." Grandpa explained.
"Well, let's get this trip started." I proclaimed and then Grandpa kickstarted the RV and me and Gwen sat in the side berth as he drove through Bellwood to get to the highway to where the campsite is.
"So…. Looking forward to this trip?" I asked Gwen considering we're going all over the US.
"Yeah. I'm very interested in places that have history in particular." She replied.
"Same here and for all the campsites we'd rest at." I gave my answer.
After that we had a good and healthy conversation about what we've done since we last saw each other and I even informed her about what happened with Cash and J.T. today and she laughed at the thought of them screaming like girls.
And as we had this conversation, time clearly flew by because by the time we finished, we reached the campsite and by nightfall. Grandpa said that we can sit out by the camp bench as he cooks the food.
We were stargazing which was very peaceful and we could actually see the stars since Bellwood as a city practically smogged the sky.
"Chow time!" Grandpa announced and we quickly turned around to see him walk to us with a bowl and as he placed it on the table. Upon seeing the contents, my stomach churned because there were worms in it. And they're living, which made it all the more gross.
"Okay, what is that supposed to be?" I asked Grandpa, thinking his brain got messed up a bit.
"Marinated Mealworms. Hard to find them fresh in the states. You know, they're considered a delicacy in some countries." Grandpa explained with some pride. Don't know why because I could never find this delicious.
"And totally gross in others." Gwen fired back, expressing what we both think as a few worms slither out of the bowl.
"If these don't sound good, I've got some smoked sheep's tongue in the fridge." Grandpa said, and that sounds just as disgusting.
"Grandpa, we don't have exotic taste buds like you. Kids like us eat foods like burgers, pizzas and fries." I explained and Gwen nodded in agreement.
"Nonsense. This summer's gonna be an adventure for your taste buds. I'll grab the tongue." He said in disagreement before he walked back into the RV to grab the food item.
"And to think, I only have a sandwich, chocolate bar and bottle of coke in my bag. You?" I said and asked Gwen.
"Some rice cakes and hard candy." She answered.
"We're not gonna last the whole summer at this rate." I said with dread and we groaned.
Later into the night, me and Gwen are just chilling in our own ways. She's on her laptop and I'm stargazing again. Grandpa came out with a bag of marshmallows and stood between us.
"Who wants to roast marshmallows?" Grandpa asked us. Neither of us replied because we weren't in the mood for marshmallows just yet.
"Okay…. How about we tell scary stories?" He then asked and I sharply sat up and looked at him as if he's crazy.
"Really, tell stories that would end up making us too scared to sleep? No thank you." I reasoned and Gwen nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, I'd like to have sleep." Gwen added.
"Well, what else is there to do?" Grandpa asked us. And since I wanted to have some time to myself….
"I'm gonna go for a walk. See you later." I said as I stood up and walked towards the forest.
Walking in the forest was rather peaceful and I had a lot to think about while listening to nature, in particular, the wind among the trees..
Then I heard a sound up in the sky, so I looked up to see what I naturally assume is a shooting star. But then it changed direction, right towards me. OH SNAP! I ran as fast as I could, away from it but then it crashed right behind me and the force of the impact was so strong that I was thrown into the air and crashed on the ground.
I groaned as I felt bruised on my chest. It hurt a lot to the point that it was a bit of a struggle to stand back up. Being rather curious, I walked to where the thing crashed and it left a crater and there was smoke around the object and so I couldn't see it properly. This makes me get into the crater to look closer at it. I realised that it seems to be a space pod and then it opened.
Inside, there was this blue glow around this object and then the glow got brighter which revealed a watch like device. It had a faceplate with a blue hourglass symbol and a blue button. It was in a black frame with grey and white supports on it. This has to be the Omnitrix. But I remembered that it was supposed to be green, not blue. Either way, I don't mind because I like the colour blue.
"Alright. Here we go." I said to myself preparing for the start of a wild life. I reached for the Omnitrix with my right hand and it acted like it had life in it as it jumped onto my wrist and stuck to it like glue. I took a deep breath, just trying to mentally prepare for all of the adventures I'll end up having. Then I climbed out of the crater and walked my way back to the Rust Bucket.
After a few minutes of walking, I decided to try the Omnitrix out to make sure how it worked. So I pressed on the button and the faceplate lifted up and the hourglass shape shifted to a diamond shape and an image showed a figure whose head looked like it was on fire.
"First alien, here we go." I said as I pressed down on the faceplate. Then a blinding blue light consumed me as I began to feel hotter and hotter to the point that I felt like I was going to explode. And then the Omnitrix sinked into my wrist as rough, magma rocks formed and spread throughout my body and then it reached my face and I felt my eyes changing. And I grew taller and taller. Then I felt my hands become bigger and my feet formed 2 toes. It all felt so weird. And then for the finish, the Omnitrix symbol formed right in the middle of my chest.
Once, my transformation ended, I examined myself by looking and touching my body all over. Damn I look cool.
"Wow…." I said aloud in awe. Here I noticed my voice was deeper and I sounded as though I'm a chill badass.
"This is so cool." I then said. Then I looked around and saw a dead tree. At that moment I decided to test out my abilities and so I flexed my hand which formed a fireball and I threw it at the dead tree and on impact, it formed a little explosion.
"Damn…." I remarked in pride and I decided to do one more and then I'm done. So I did it again on another dead tree but the bits of wood that are on fire land on some leaves and other trees and it spreads, causing a forest fire.
"NO!" I yelled in fear. I can't believe I did this. I even tried to put out a bit of the fire but all I did is spread it more thanks to me being a fiery alien.
"STUPID MORON!" I mocked myself. And shortly after, I felt a sharp shock of cold hit me on the back which made me turn around to see Gwen with a look of fear on her face. And it's clear why. She thinks I'm a monster and so she screams at the top of her lungs.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Calm down, I'm not here to harm you. I-" I tried to calm her down but I was interrupted when she swung the fire extinguisher at my face which threw me to the ground. I tried to get up but she fired the extinguisher at me again, this time getting me in the face and I coughed up the foam from my mouth which was disgusting.
"I don't know what you are, but you'll stay down if you know what's good for you." Gwen threatened me. I had to talk to her to stop.
"Gwen, don't do something you'll regret." I calmly said to her and she looked as though she was told that she's a boy, that's how shocked she is to know that it's me.
"Ben? Is that you? What happened?" She asked me in shock. I stood up and stepped in front of her.
"As I was walking, I saw what I assumed was a shooting star but then it flew towards me and I narrowly missed it. Then I saw it was actually some kind of pod which contained a watch like device and it latched onto my wrist and I ended up like this and stupidly and accidentally started this forest fire." I explained at a quick pace. Then I noticed Grandpa jogging towards us.
"Gwen, are alr- What in blazes?!" He said, shocked at seeing my form as well.
"Hi, Grandpa." I said in shame, hanging my head low.
"Ben? What happened?" He asked.
"I'll tell you later. Right now, we have to deal with this forest fire?" I reminded him.
"Any ideas?" Gwen asked him. He then looked around and then he came up with an idea that I'm surprised I didn't come up with.
"Backfire. Start a new fire, and let it burn into the old fire. Think you can do it, Ben?" Grandpa said.
"That'll be a piece of cake." I calmly said before I ran deep into the fire and got to the other side. Then I started a new fire which then spread into the old one and I saw that they started to burn each other out.
Satisfied with the results, I made it back to the Rust Bucket and we all sat around a fire. And then I proceeded to tell them both in detail about what happened.
"So you say this watch just jumped and clamped on your wrist?" Grandpa asked me to make sure I spoke clearly as Gwen tossed me a marshmallow, which I grabbed and because of me being a walking magma being, it was roasting the moment I laid my fingers on it.
"Yeah, and I was just curious what I could do, I'm sorry." I apologised as I threw the roasted marshmallow into my mouth.
"It's alright, sport. I believe you." Grandpa comforted me with his words, which made me feel a bit better.
"Think he's gonna stay like a monster forever?" Gwen asked. Though I'm really alien currently.
"He's not a monster, he's an alien." Grandpa corrected in a serious tone. This made me and Gwen look at him, wondering as to how he knows this. He never gave an idea of what he knows. And since I only knew the premise of Ben 10, I have no clue about what he did.
"I mean, look at him. What else could he be?" He then said to try and make it seem like he was taking a natural guess.
"I just hope I don't stay like this forever. I mean I'd end up lighting everything I touch on fire." I expressed my worry since I don't really know how this thing works.
"Don't worry, Ben. We'll figure this out." Grandpa reassured me, but then we heard a beeping coming from my chest and so I looked down to see it flashing red and then a red light consumed me and I felt my body change. I'm starting to grow smaller and my features and skin are changing back to normal.
Once the light vanished, I looked at my hands and I'm back to normal! Then I noticed the Omnitrix symbol is red now instead of blue.
"Oh, thank God, I'm normal now." I remarked.
"Too bad, I liked you better when you were a briquette." Gwen said, which made me glare at her.
"Now what?" I asked, wondering what to do now.
"Better not mess around with it anymore until we know exactly what we're dealing with." Grandpa told me as he stood up and turned a flashlight on.
"I'll go check out that crash site. You guys stay here until I get back." He then told the both of us before he went into the woods to find where the pod crashed.
Some time passed and I was bored. I couldn't read any comics or watch a movie because all I could think about was the Omnitrix. So, out of natural curiosity, I twisted the dial around and as I did, it changed colour from red to blue.
"Ben, Grandpa said not to mess with that thing." Gwen cautioned me as she was roasting some marshmallows to make s'mores.
"I know, but I'm just curious as to what this thing can do." I explained, not taking my eyes off of it.
"But you should still be careful with it." She then said. Of course, curiosity isn't the only reason for why I'm tinkering with the Omnitrix.
"Look, this thing is stuck to me, so I might as well try and figure it out, and in that way, I can use it to help people." I argued my reasoning to her.
"Okay, fair point. So, what did it feel like going all alien like that?" Gwen asked, wondering how I felt being such alien.
"It felt… weird. Because I still felt like myself, but in someone else's body." I tried my best to explain as I pressed the button on it and the dial sprung up, with the symbol changing shape, showing the outline of an alien.
"Alright, I think I just figured this thing out." I said, feeling satisfied.
"Might as well try it again to make sure." I murmured, twisting the dial, showing an insect like alien, then to what looked like a raptor, then to what I assume is some canine like alien. Something tells me that I should try this one out.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Gwen asked in concern.
"Yes." I bluntly replied as I slammed the dial down. Like before I was consumed in a blue light and the transformation started. The Omnitrix sank into my wrist again, but this time veins were bulging out and then it spread throughout my body and I felt my muscles change and shift as orange fur was growing on my body. Then my eyes changed, making my vision different. My body and fur kept changing until I became animal-like and was on all fours, with the only feature on my face being my jaw, which had an impressive set of teeth. Then the claws on my paws grew and I felt a shoulder pad on my left shoulder with the Omnitrix symbol on it.
Feeling my transformation being complete, I slammed a paw on the ground and roared.
I then noticed that I was drooling, lovely.
"Whoa! Quite the impressive mutt. Though it really needs breath mints." Gwen said. I roared in annoyance at her.
"Wait, you don't have eyes? How can you even see?" She then asked me. Here I realised that my nostrils are on my neck, similar to gills. I picked up her scent and I saw her outline in red whereas the environment was olive green. I decided to circle around her and then nuzzle her to show that I can see her well.
Then I decided to jump and I was practically thrown into the air and landed on top of the Rust Bucket.
"Okay, that was cool." Gwen said and I front flipped right to her.
Now, I needed to properly test this alien so I leaped to the fire and ran into the woods.
"Be careful, Ben!" She warned me as I ran.
After distancing myself from the RV, I leaped to a branch and grabbed it with my front paws, and using momentum, I reached another tree that I landed on, then I jumped to another tree, then another. Wow, this bad boy is cool.
But the mood changed when I picked up a scent that was foreign to me and sensing danger, I jumped, and I heard a shot fired and I realised that it was something after me, more than likely for the Omnitrix.
I used the trees to get away from whatever it was but it was on my tail. I turned and saw that it was some kind of flying robot. I now had to become the hunter so I hid from it in the leaves, and as it flew away, I decided to leap high in the air at it and grabbed it, causing it to rotate, firing lasers to try and get me.
Oh no, you don't. I chomped on one of its appendages and ripped it off, which made it glitch out, hitting a tree and ramming through another.
Now, I grabbed what must be the head and ripped it off with my paw and threw it away.
However, I heard beeping, which made me look at the symbol and it was flashing red. OH NO! I'm about to turn back to normal. I saw we were heading right into a rock face, so I jumped off right before it crashed and exploded into a bush. Then I changed back to normal. I took a breather and realised that the Omnitrix must be charging up when it goes red.
Unfortunately, another robot flew right to me and aimed its laser at me, ready to fire.
"Crap." I cursed.
Out of nowhere, a shovel hit the thing, denting it and making it crash on the ground.
"Uhh! Back off, spark. No flying tree trimmer is going to hurt my cousin." Gwen warned it, whacking it a couple more times, making more dents.
"You saved me just in time." I thanked her and she smiled.
The robot then sparked and a fire came out of it. Alright, now's time to run.
We made it back to the RV, and Grandpa was not pleased at all, and I told him what happened.
"I was worried that you might get popular with that thing on your wrist. That's why I asked you not to fool around with it until we know what the heck it is.." He told me off.
"Look, I'm sorry. I had to try and figure out how it worked and now I do." I explained and he and Gwen raised their eyebrows, which signalled me to continue.
"When it isn't red, indicating that it's recharging. You press on the button, and when the dial pops up, you twist it until you see the alien you wanna turn into. Slam it down, and you turn into one of ten various different aliens." I told them, demonstrating as I told them.
"Impressive." Gwen praised my solving capabilities. Grandpa stroked his chin in thought.
"With a device as powerful as that watch clamped on you, my guess is we'd better help you learn fast." He then said. OH YEAH! He and Gwen are going to help me train with it so that I can use it effectively.
"Alright!" I cheered.
"Mayday! Mayday!" The radio suddenly blurted out.
"Somebody help us! We're under attack by some sort of- I know you're not gonna believe me- but robot." The person on the radio continued. Oh, man…. It must be linked to the ones that attacked me.
"It sounds like the ones that attacked me, looking for the watch. They're in danger because of me!" I stated.
"I gotta help them." I proclaimed, standing up.
"What are you gonna do about it, Ben?" Gwen asked. I knew that the Omnitrix is the answer.
We got out and we made our way to where the attack was happening. We stopped and I looked at the Omnitrix, and it beeped, ready to be used. I looked at Grandpa and he nodded, giving me permission.
"Alright." I murmured as I pressed it and the dial popped out. Then it showed the aliens. The first one I saw looked like a ghost, not gonna work, I twisted the dial and it showed the insect again, nope. I turned it again and this time, it showed a big, buff alien that looked like it was made of either rock or crystal. He looks handy for this situation.
"Here I go." I said before I slammed it down. As I did, green crystals formed out of my skin, consuming my entire body. Then I felt my eyes change, and I grew taller and buff. And I felt four spikes forming out of my back as I was in what looked like a sleeveless black and white jumpsuit with the symbol on the left side of my chest, over my heart. Thing is, with this alien, I felt whole. As though I was in my true skin. I don't know why I felt like this, but it felt good.
"So what can this guy do?" Gwen asked upon seeing my new form.
"Don't know yet, either way, it's time for a beatdown." I said, noticing my voice was deep.
We ran further and heard destruction and screams as we saw the glow of fires. As we reached the location there was a huge robot looking like some kind of crustacean destroying people's RV's.
"Nice, it's papa robot. I'll keep it busy, you two make sure everyone's safe." I ordered Grandpa and Gwen and they nodded in understanding as they went to do their task.
Now, I charged to the robot and it decided to pick up the park ranger.
"HEY! Leave him alone! Pick on someone like me!" I challenged it as it looked towards me. It let him go and fired at me, causing me to fly into an RV which was fired at and exploded. I felt a slight sting, but I can't focus on that now. I felt my right hand shift and it formed into a blade. Since I was under some rubble, I sliced my way out and bent the metal to get out. I looked at my right arm and little crystal blades formed, making it serrated. Hell yeah.
"Sick." I complimented, already, this is my favourite alien. The robot came closer and I charged at it to slash it, but it leaped before I touched it. It's legs spun insanely quickly and stopped before it fell back down and landed on top of me, forming a crater from the impact.
"Bloody hell!" I snarled in frustration. Then it stepped off and grabbed me with its hand, throwing me at the park ranger's vehicle. I got off of the vehicle and I stood there, trying to think of something. But it didn't let me, firing at me, but I dodged it, and again. And no matter where I went, it would fire, preventing me from taking some time to come up with something. I saw that it hit a tree, and it was falling towards GWEN! She wasn't even moving, so I sprinted fast and stood in front of her, slicing the tree with spikes that I formed on my back, then they went back to normal.
"Even?" I asked her, in reference to when she saved me from the robot from earlier.
"Even." She simply said. But then the robot grabbed me.
"Come on!" I complained. It raised me up and it's other hand grabbed my right arm, trying to pull it off. Oh no, you don't! I formed the spike with serrations and I destroyed the hand. It then fired it's cannon, shooting me at a structure, which exploded when I crashed into it.
I stood up and growled at it. It was charging up a shot, and in the moment, I formed spikes on both of my hands and when it fired, I blocked it, making the blast deflect all over, one of which nearly hit Gwen and Grandpa. Once the shot died down. I looked at the spikes, and now I have an idea.
"Oi, burn one right here!" I encouraged it, pointing at my chest.
"Get out of there! Run!" Grandpa yelled to me, but I can't. The thing blasted at me, and I blocked it with my hands, and it made me skid on the floor, so I formed spikes on my feet to stick and I grunted from the sheer force of the blast.
"What can be shot, can be shot back at you." I quipped.
"Time for a taste of your own medicine, loser!" I taunted it, moving my hands to redirect the blast right back at it, and as I did so, it immediately exploded, and the remains fell on the ground, exploding again.
"Alright!" Gwen and Grandpa cheered in unison.
"Way to go, Be-" Grandpa started but stopped realising that there's others there and obviously, I don't want my identity revealed.
"Uh… diamond-headed guys!" Grandpa said instead. Huh… Diamond-headed. I can call this form Diamondhead. Yeah! Diamondhead!
"No problem, folks. Now that the threat is over with." I said in an authoritative voice. Then I walked into the trees, out of view from the people.
All of us reached back to the RV and once I changed back to normal we all slept for the night, especially me because I'm so tired from defeating that robot.
Once morning arrived, it was decided that we are going to head somewhere else. But I decided to have some fun. After breakfast, I turned into the alien to reminded me of a raptor. Once I turned into it, I found out that it can go super fast. Like so fast that I'd be a blur if people saw me and it had claws for hands and balls for feet. Plus it had a cool tail. With this, I went all the way back to Bellwood and pranked Cash and J.T by having them hang on a tree from their underwear.
Now I made it back to the RV and I stopped right in front of Grandpa and Gwen as they're packing. They both looked surprised upon seeing me.
"Ben?" Grandpa asked in surprise. This alien had what is akin to a helmet and a visor, which I slid up to reveal my face with a smile.
"Who else? Check this out." I smoothly said in a raspy voice, and the visor slid back down and I packed the rest of the stuff for them, and it was done in the manner of a few seconds.
"This is one fast little raptor, don't you think?" I joked around and then the symbol, which was on my chest flashes and beeped, and then I went back to normal.
"This may be the most insane summer ever." I said, brushing some dust off of my shirt.
"Absolutely." Grandpa agreed with a smirk.
"It's definitely going to be interesting." Gwen added.
"So, where'd you go anyway?" She then asked me.
"Let's just say I had to take care of something before this vacation gets going." I answered vaguely.
I now had to embrace the fact that I'm about to be in a long battle to save the world and the galaxy.
Alright, now if you're familiar with Ben 10 at all, you'll notice that there are significant changes, like the absence of Ben's dad, the colour of the Omnitrix and whatever else. Well I decided to spice things up a bit. And I will do more by having certain aliens have different names than in the show and other noticeable things. And I thought it would be easier to write a fan fic where the OC has heard of Ben 10 but doesn't know anything of it, that way, there will be honest reactions from him to the twists and turns, and for him to learn and grow.
