Hello everyone! author-san here, before we start I have to get these out of the way

First thing is that this is my first fanfic ever soooo I'm sorry about any problems that there might be.

Also English is not my main language sooooo I'm also sorry for and spelling errors that there might be

Next thing is that there will be no bashing, gender-bend or harem in this story so if that's what you're looking for then I'm sorry to disappoint. and lastly for the pairing this will be a NarutoxKurotsuchi since It's my fav pairing and now that we are done let the story begin.

Prologue

The beginning of it all

October 10, outskirts of Konahagakure no sato

Today was October 10th, many would think that this day would be like any normal day but they have no idea how wrong they are.

In a cave outside of Konoha, the village hidden in the leaves Uzumaki Kushina the grand daughter of the shodaime hokage Senju Hashirama and the jinchuriki of the kyuubi no kitsune, the strongest of all bijuu was giving birth around her were doctors, ANBU and most importantly her husband and the father of her unborn child, Namikaze Minato the yondaime hokage.

"Just one more push Kushina-chan and it will be all ove- OW" said the blond man next to her

"Don't you kushina-chan me! ARGHHHHH!" screamed the redhead and after a minute later the sound of cries filled the room.

"Congratulations It's a healthy baby boy!" This was said by Biwako, the wife of the sandaime.

"Oh? let me see" the father of the baby said as he went to grab the child "mothers first" was the only answer he got as he pouted cutely like a child and went on to check on his wife.

After a few minutes she came back with the newborn in her hands and handed him to his mother. "Oh my god! Minato take a look at him, he looks just like you!" she said as she took in all the features of the child. He had blond hair and the most beautiful baby blue eyes she had ever seen, all-in-all he looked just like his father but he had his mother's face. "What should we name him Minato?"

He took a few seconds and said "Naruto... Naruto, yeah that's a great name" he said as he held the baby in his hands for the first time. He looked so tiny, so helpless but he could see that he would grow up to be a strong young man and right there-and-then he promised to himself that he would protect this child no matter the cost as one of the nurses came and took the child from him to let him rest and he went back to check on his wife's seal.

But all of a sudden a voice spoke up from behind "Fourth hokage step away from the jinchuriki or your child shall lose his life at the tender age of five minutes" he turned around to see a masked man with Naruto in his hands and held a kunai to the child's throat

"Now calm down nobody has to get hurt" the blonde said as he got ready to attack the man and take Naruto back.

"You should take your own advice, for I am completely calm" the man in the mask said, and all of a sudden he threw the child into the air. "NARUTO" Kushina screamed in total fear for her baby's life but in a flash Minato was there and took the child into his hand and landed safely with him, then there was a hissing sound, one that is made from explosive tags… Minato quickly threw the blanket that was wrapped around his son to the other side of the room only for it to explode in a loud bang.

He took the blonde boy to his hideout and placed him in bed, then he grabbed his jacket and put it on. the jacket was white with red flames at the bottom and had the kanji for "Yondaime Hokage" written on the back of it. "Stay here Naruto, I will be back with your mother shortly don't you worry" the fourth hokage said as he left the house in a yellow flash

An hour later, away from the village

Minato had summoned the altar and placed his son on it, it was only then that the kyuubi realised what was about to happen. "They want to seal me away in that baby? NEVER!" it shouted angrily as it stretched It's claws to kill the child but in less than a second both parents jumped in front of it to protect their baby.

"Kushina I'm about to seal the yang half of the fox into Naruto and the other into myself, so if you have anything to say to him… now is the time." Minato said as he got ready to apply the seal.

"Naruto..

Don't be picky.. Eat lots and grow strong..

Make sure that you bathe every day and stay warm..

Also.. Don't stay up late.. You need lots of sleep..

And make friends.. You don't need a lot of friends..

Just a few.. Ones you can really, really trust..

I wasn't very good at it, but keep up with your studies and practice your ninjutsu hard..

Remember that everyone has strengths and weaknesses..

So don't get too depressed if you can't do something well..

Respect your teachers and upperclassmen at the Academy..

Oh, and this is important.. It's about the Three Prohibitions for a shinobi..

Be extra careful about lending and borrowing money..

Put your mission wages into your savings account..

No alcohol until you're twenty.. Too much can ruin your health, so drink in moderation..

Another Prohibition is women..

I'm a woman, so I don't know too much about this but..

All you need to remember is that this world is made up of men and women..

So it's only natural to take an interest in girls..

But just don't get hooked on bad women.. Find someone just like me..

Speaking of the Three Prohibitions, be wary of Jiraiya Sensei, you know..

Naruto, from now on, you're going to face lots of pain and hardship..

Be true to yourself.. Have a dream and have the confidence to make that dream come true..

There's so much.. Oh, so much more that I want to pass on to you.. I wish I could stay with you longer..

It was now Minato's turn to speak" Naruto… there is so much I wanted to tell you but… I guess your talkative mom… said it all EIGHT TRAIGRAMS SEAL" and with that he passed on to the after life

a moment later some shinobi along with Sandaime hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen came to the scene. "Yondaime-sama!" one of the shinobi said as he went to inspect his body but realized he was dead. "Kushina-sama!" another shinobi said but this time she was responsive and the Sandime with naruto in hand came to check on her.

"Sandaime… please take care of the child…"said the grand daughter of the Shodai with her last breaths. "ofcourse, you don't need to worry" he responded quickly "his name is… Naruto" and those were her last words as she passed away to join her husband in the afterlife.

To say that Hiruzen was shocked would be an understatement 'so this is the son of Minato and Kushina, he is also sensei's great grandson', he was looking at the child in his hands when he said "Naruto you say? fien. I will take full responsibility but for the child's sake you must rest" when he got no response he looked away from the child to see Kushina with her eyes closed. "Kushina-sama is no longer with us hokage-sama" the shinobi said

And with that the kyuubi attack was over and so was one of, if not the most important day in the history of Konohagakure no sato.

October 11, One day later

The consul was in disarray, It had been a day since anyone has seen the Yondaime, the last time he had been seen was when he used the Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Raijin technique)in order to take the kyuubi out of konoha and defeat it away from the village

It was then that the sandaime entered the room as everyone stood up in a show of respect, then they noticed something else, he had a baby in his hands, the child had blond hair and blue eyes these set of features were not that common in konoha but many civilians shrugged it off but it didn't go unnoticed by most clan heads.

Said clan heads were Akimichi Choza head of Akimichi clan, Aburame Shibi head of the Aburame clan, Inuzuka Tsume head of the Inuzuka clan, Hyuga Hiashi head of the Hyuga clan, Uchiha Fugaku head of the Uchiha clan, Yamanaka Inoichi head of the Yamanaka clan and Nara Shikaku the Nara clan head and the jonin commander, next to the were the elders Koharu and Homura along with Shimura Danzo the ROOT ANBU division.

"Many of you are probably wondering why I called you here" the old kage said all the counselors nodded as he continued "the reason I called you all here was to tell you that the Yondaime hokage Namikaze Minato has passed away in his battle with the kyuubi" the look of shock on every on said it all, no one had expexted that the young hokage was dead " furthermore, he died sealing the kyuubi within this child making him the new jinchuriki of the kyuubi"

At that the silence gave way to the sound of murmurs many of the civilians were now blinded by their anger and their hate some wanted him dead, some wanted him banished other open minded individuals were thinking about keeping him in confinement.

Then it was the old warhawks turn to speak up "and what about the position of hokage?" at this Hiruzen quickly answered " I will once again take the mantle of hokage" at that Danzo nodded, he knew at a time like this the village will be in need of a powerful leader, one that would prevent other shinobi villages from trying anything, but there were still other matters that he needed to attend to"

"and what about the jinchuriki? I say we give him to me and I will train him to be a powerful weapon, one that is loyal to the village" many of the civilians nodded in agreement, if they gave it to Danzo they won't have to deal with this child

but Hiruzen knowing exactly where things were going said "no Danzo, I will not have him weaponized and he has a name, his name is Naruto, Uzumaki Naruto, you'd do well to remember it" the shinobi of darkness was about to protest but Shikaku beat him to it "I have to agree with hokage-sama, besides as a jinchuuriki he needs his emotions to keep the bijuu within him in check there's no saying what your training could do to him" and many of the clan heads seemed to agree with him.

Danzo, once again didn't have any chance to protest as the shinobi no kami spoke once more "and lastly there is the Yondaime's last wish" and that got the attention of everybody in the room "he wished for young naruto here to be treated as a hero and not the demon that he protects us from" the reaction of the shinobi clan heads were as expected, they seemed either indifferent or respected that wish the civilians' thoughts were less than ideal they seemed like they already wanted to go against their hero's last wish.

Now all that was left was the the sandaime's last plan of action "and because of this wish, Uzumaki Naruto's status as jinchuriki will be an S-rank secret and anyone who speaks of his status shall be trialled for treason" and with that the meeting was over

And there you have it ladies and gentlemen that was the first chapter of Senju Naruto: the heir to the forests

I know this chapter didn't have anything new and most of it was canon but I wanted the first chapter to be like this. I'm really sorry if your disappointed but don't worry, the next chapters will be better

As for the upload schedule... I have now Idea how it will go but I will probably upload a new chapter every 2 weeks to 1 month cuz I'm busy with school
