CHAPTER ONE - AWAKENING

"Ow. My Head!" Phoenix moaned. He, Mia, Gumshoe and Edgeworth had been out partying the evening before, celebrating phoenix's latest victory. Larry had been invited too, but he had plans. He was busy with another model, Juniper.

It took phoenix some time to remember where he was, then he realized he was in the office. He heard a knock on the door.

"Yes?" he asked.

"Are you decent?" replied the person outside.

"Hang on, lemme check... yup."

"I'm coming in."

The door opened, it was Maya. She was carrying a tray with three hot cups of coffee on it.

"Who's getting the third one?" Phoenix asked.

Before Maya had a chance to answer a voice coming from behind the desk mumbled "Me."

It was Mia, she looked even worse than Phoenix, she looked kinda funny.

"Thanks, sis." She said to Maya while she grabbed her cup.

"Had one too many, did we?" Maya asked them while giving Phoenix his cup.

"I think it was a lot more than one" Phoenix replied. You could clearly see that he had a hangover.

"I hadn't time to congratulate you last night, so I thought I'd bring you some coffee."

"Thanks, I don't think I could handle more partying". Phoenix mumbled.

Maya and Mia laughed, this was going to be a good day.

The three of them went out on the street, there they saw Gumshoe pushing Edgeworth in a wheelbarrow. They walked over to him.

"He's supposed to be in court in twenty minutes, and I can't seem to wake him up." Gumshoe explained. Phoenix, Mia and Maya laughed, it looked really funny.

"Well, good luck." Mia said, giving Gumshoe a bright smile.

"Thanks, catch ya later." he said, then he went on.

"So, anybody got plans for today?" Phoenix asked.

"I've got to finish up some paperwork for an upcoming trial". Mia replied.

"And I'm going to put some caramel popcorn in some cotton candy, I heard it's going to boost my psychic powers." Maya said.

".. right..." Phoenix said, thinking Maya had some really strange strategies.

"I guess I'll go have fun on my own then" Phoenix was a bit said they were busy.

"Sure, catch ya later" They both said.

Now phoenix was alone.

Right then he got a call from an unknown number.
