Ch2: Don't go zapping your crush's Pokémon

Takami Chika was wandering around the forest looking for her best friend, Watanabe You, who was missing out on lunch that she did her best to whip up using some of the berries and pork katsu they had on their campsite, stirring it to perfection.

Ten steps in and Chika realizes she was being silly if she doesn't start near the rivers or any other body of waters that would be more likely where her crush was hanging about.

What Chika did not expect to see was a Totodile with a fierce look swimming at top speed towards the ash-brunette who was in the river too. Panicking, the orangehead shouts to her partner Pokémon, "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" as she dashed forwards, jumped into the waters and in front of You who was about to be attacked.

Wrapping her arms tightly around You, Chika scolds, "You-chan! I know we were taught not to venture into tall grass without our Pokémon..! But it also applies to rivers, okay? Are you okay? Are you hurt in anyway?"

Chika was again met with the unexpected as You scrambled out of Chika's tight embrace, a face of distraught as she hurried over to the electrified Totodile.

"Totodile!" You cradles the baby crocodile Pokémon in her arms, her eyes teary as she held back tears.

"Eh?" Chika swore she sounded as dumb as she was dumbfounded.

"Pika?" Pikachu mimics her owner's head tilt.

"C-Chika-chan! I just made friends with Totodile! She may look fierce but she isn't. Mou!" You pouts hard at her best friend, bringing Totodile out of the waters to nurse.

Chika swallows her spit, taking in the information. "W-Wait, I can't be wrong here? How was I supposed to know?"

"Pikachu." Pikachu shrugs; she's your crush.

"No, yes, but! You would do the same!" Chika complained to her partner Pokémon while her eyes mostly was staring at the ash-brunette and her [newfound] friend she "accidentally" zapped.

"Pika Pika." Pikachu shook her head rapidly to deny the accusation; you can't say that unless it happened.

"Uu… It's not fair if You-chan gets angry at me for protecting the girl I love!" Chika herself was teary eyed at the idea of You ignoring her for the rest of the day or something.

"Pi Pika Pika." Pikachu pointed at You; she does not know you love love her.

Chika cheeks flushed red as she balled her fists and waved it up and down. "That's because..!"

"Pika Pikachu." Pikachu pointed to her owner then to her owner's dream girl; you should confess.

"It's hard!" Chika pouts hard at Pikachu.

Before the conversation of Pikachu heavily encouraging Chika to confess to her crush AGAIN could continue, You approached. "Chika-chan."

"Ah, You-chan!? Y-Yes?" Chika bowed her head. "I'm sorry…about Totodile…"

"It's okay. I know you were just trying to help me. So…thank you."

Chika raises her head to see You's gentle, bashful smile and she was also now aware of the fact that her crush was clad in a pretty, light blue bikini. Chika's cheeks flared again as she had a hard time looking at You's ocean blues, You's very fit bod or Pikachu's smirk.

Maybe I need to be Thunderbolt-ed too…
