Day 1 Prompt – Shadows

ChikaYou is so cute, okay? I just can't pass off the chance to write and share their cuteness! *O*

Strolling through the park near their apartment has been a favourite pastime ever since Chika noticed her girlfriend, You, being unknowingly buried under the stress of school assignments, club practices and her part time job one day.

Ever since then, whenever the other notices either one was close to wanting to pull their hair out from all the workload, they'd scoop their partner's hand in theirs, and bring them to the park.

Or on more peaceful days, like today, Chika squeezes You's warm fingers interlocked with hers, smiles an angelic smile at the ash-brunette who returned a smile after her heart skipped a beat. "Let's go to the park~"

You nods. "Let's."

"Ah! It's You-onee-chan and Chika-onee-chan!" The regular kids at the playground noticed the couplethat frequented the park and waved enthusiastically.

Chika and You waved back smiling.

"What are you kids up to today?" You asks as one little girl ran up to hug her.

"Shadow Tag!" A boy climbing the stairs of the playground shouts while jumping off from two steps high.

Chika cheers. "That sounds fun!"

"Join us~" The girl that hugged You switched to tugging You's hand, looking up with bright eyes.

You chuckles and turns towards her girlfriend. "Is that okay..?"

Chika's eyebrows knitted in determination as she wore a proud smile. "Let's play!"

The moment Chika agreed to playing, the small girl pulls You onto the playgrounds and her friend further inside declared Chika the tagger.

"Whaaa..! Chika the Shadow Tagger is gonna catch all of your shadows!" Chika laughs and bounces into the playgrounds where four little kids screamed and laughed alongside her girlfriend hiding behind the slides already.

"That's not how Shadow Tag goes, Chika-chan~" You chuckles, checking where her shadow is.

Chika's crimson eyes sparkled as she ran towards the left of the playground where most of the little kids have gathered at, they squealed the moment Chika closed in and roared at them teasingly. "I'm gonna catch you all though?"

You laughs as she dodged Chika's jump at her shadow when the orangehead passed by, pretending to be focused on the child's before lunging at the ash-brunette's.

"Nice try!"

"I'm gonna get ya!" Chika laughs as she hopped and hopped again.

You jumps from another colored square patten on the ground to a circular one, smiles wide as she avoided being caught. "You can't catch me!"

"I..! Already..! Have..!" Chika jumps, hops and springs right at You's shadow, triumph for a mere second as she did not realize that You was right in front of her and she crashed into You's arms. "Uwaa!"

You's body vibrates with laughter, slight tears in her eyes from laughing so much as she holds Chika close. "Ahaha, aww man, I got caught by you…again." You whispers the last word with a goofy grin.

Chika finds her face growing hotter and she knows it was not because of the running and jumping. She was implying about how she already had You as hers beforehand but when her silly high-diver says it… Chika could not help but melt for a moment and be paralyzed in You's loving embrace.

It would seem that You felt the same effect as the swimmer's sapphire hues twinkled with sweet love and in the next moment, Chika feels soft lips on hers as her eyes fluttered close.

"Mm…nn…"

"Mm…Chika-chan…"

"Ah! Onee-chans are kissing!"

"Aaahh! They kissed!"

Chika and You flinches, blushing hard.

Sapphire eyes saying, "Oops."

Crimson eyes replying, "What do we do?"
