Day 2 Prompt – Cocooning in Bed

Kotori knocks softly on the door before entering Honoka's room like she always does to help wake the gingerhead who loves sleep and have a little bit lesser love for going to school.
The ash-brunette peeks in and switches the light on, her lips twitching upwards when she hears a defiant yet cute groan from the bed.
Honoka-chan noises are so cute~
Kotori steps closer to the bedside, giggling at the sight – her best friend have rolled herself up in her blanket, her orange-brown tresses popping out from one end, feet from the other, facing down and curled up.
Honoka-chan always does such cute things that's why I can't leave her alone~
"Why are you cocooning yourself like that, Honoka-chan~?" Kotori smiles wider, intrigued as she puts her school bag down to the side.
The head of orange-brown spoke, muffled and whiney. "Honoka doesn't want to get out of bed and go to school today!"
Ahh, when Honoka-chan whines, I want to give her whatever she wants… but..! As a good friend and good student and good future partner..! I got to do what's right!
Kotori's sweet cheeks pinkens at the thought of being Honoka's partner down the road but focuses on the current situation at hand. "Aww… Honoka-chan… I made extra food in my bento to share with you… But since Honoka-chan does not want to go to school…"
Kotori caught Cocoon Honoka jolt in bed, raising her head with large, teary blue eyes and mouth slightly agape from an unspoken 'eh!?' which made the ash-brunette place her right hand over her left to not just reach over to pat Honoka.
Cocoon Honoka-chan is too moe!
"I guess I'll just share it with Umi-chan instead… all of it…" Kotori pretends to leave as she turns around slowly, making sure to keep eye contact, both exchanging a sad expression at the possibility of not eating lunch together and enjoying Kotori's homemade specialties.
Will it work?
"Ahh! Noooo~! Kotori-chaaaaaan, I want Kotori-chan's cooking…~~" Honoka rolls left and right on her bed as a pouting blanket wrap.
Ah, it worked~
Kotori grins, proud of her plan and fighting the huge urge to melt from Honoka's display of adorable. "Then… Will you go to school with me?"
Honoka splayed out on the bed, tired from rolling, blinks up at Kotori's personal onegai expression. Honoka juts her lips out. "Yes…"
Kotori reaches over to unravel Honoka out of the blanket, aiding the gingerhead's metamorphosing into human Honoka, gone was her warm cocoon as Honoka sat with a bedhead and Kotori weaved her fingers in and out of her best friend's hair.
"Hehe…Honoka-chan's hair is so soft~"
Honoka shakes her head, reaching over to Kotori's long hair to lightly touch it and watch it slide off her fingers smoothly. "Kotori-chan's hair is softer."
Kotori looks away from Honoka's head to Honoka's gentle, half-asleep smile; her heart drumming a little louder and warmth spreading from the inside out just from the gingerhead's honest gaze. "Mmm…~ Shall we head to school?"
Honoka chuckles low. "I was hoping you'd forget~"
"I'm in uniform." Kotori points out.
"I could trick you into thinking it's afterschool!" Honoka jests as she gets out of bed and towards the bathroom.
"I'm not that easy to fool~" Kotori calls back before she turns about to make Honoka's bed and taking a seat while waiting for Honoka to return, her hands caressing the blanket absentmindedly.
I'd love to cocoon in bed with you…
