How a Dimitrescu Heart Beats
Chapter 7: Shattered
Heisenberg Factory
Romania
December 1940
A buzzing, ticking, and a bang of metal within the confines of a small room, brought a set of brown eyes, to slowly open.
Lucille Raddu, began to awaken, feeling sweaty, and her head throbbing painfully as if she was suffering from the worst hangover she had ever gone through. She glared curiously straight up, at a vanilla coloured ceiling, a fan spinning above her rather fast, but her perception saw it almost going slower than it was supposed to go. The vision looking around was blurry significantly, as if the brown haired middle Raddu sibling was underwater and things could be heard but she was semi conscious and nothing was making much sense.
She brought her hand from down at her wait line, towards her head and touched a bandaged part of her temple, her eyes widening in shock and confusion, deeply thinking…
I was injured? How? What happened to me? Am I dead? Where am I?
So many questions ran through her head, intensifying the headache she was suffering. Her eyes continued to scan what looked to almost be some sort of office, a large desk to the side of her, a wall filled with pictures of some people she did recognize as the four lords of the village. Lucille could clearly identify she wasn't home, this wasn't her bed nor any room, she wasn't in a hospital, but she continued to ponder.
Lucille then took notice, she was in a fair sized bed though slightly uncomfortable due to its firmness, creakiness, and just the fact she was in someone else's bed, no knowledge of who brought her here, yet.
Then memories were starting to form, slowly. The memories of her having a bad day, not getting another job, the harsh snowstorm driving through on her way back to her uncle's farm, her anger with Anton not being there for her, she got lost, crashed, then….the real nightmare began. Those two hairy, sharp toothed beasts attacked her causing a sense of fear to rise up in her throat. They were so strong, so vile, so monstrous and with nowhere to run, she had to defend herself, but it didn't work out as one handled her and threw her like a rag doll against her uncle's truck, nearly knocking her out.
Then that man. That unusual man, wearing a long coat, wearing sunglasses, and carrying that massive hammer, went to battle against those creatures, killing them off surely. He was truly brave, as Lucille could not think of any human that would stand toe to toe against those beasts and survive. Her thoughts ran deep again….
Did that man save me? Did he bring me here? He looks…..so familiar but I don't know how I know him…
Her thoughts became interrupted again. BANG…...BANG…….BANG….BANG…
She grabbed her bandage head with both her hands, began to shake violently, Lucille felt herself almost going insane, wanted out, but didn't know what to do.
Then snapped out the undying madness, a large metal door opened in front of her, with an eerie creak. Walking through, came a sight that made the injured Raddu sibling, widen her brown eyes like saucers, and felt relentless terror fill her already confused state.
Slowly entering, almost limping a strange sight involving a human like thing. It did resemble a human, the physique indicated across the exposed torso, someone in their mid 20's, but the skin was scaly, very pale, and the torso had a length of stitches crossing in lines across each other. This creature also bore a metal plate across much of the upper half of his face, a small bright red light flickering off and on every second. Wore torn dark pants across the thin legs.
But the terror rose up, when Lucille identified the creature's mouth, as it opened and made a silent hiss, she identified very sharp teeth, although many were missing.
It looked like something from the undead, but she also felt a strange sense of unease, the creature was holding a flat metal tray. On the tray was a plate with a sandwich, a small white cup of a steaming beverage in which it's odour made its way to the nervous girl, giving a relaxed feeling, it was coffee.
Almost as if the creature was here as a servant, bringing in some kind of room service, at this very unusual looking accommodation. But the terror rose back up in Lucille again, and her nervous expression went to widened brown eyes, and her mouth opening wide she let out a blood chilling scream.
It did little to make the creature move, as it merely stood in the same position, mere feet from where Lucille was resting on the cot.
Then after a few moments, a tall man entered slowly. He wore a long brown coloured trench coat, steel rimmed sunglasses, a beige coloured shirt under, dark pants and boots, wearing a cowboy looking hat on top, smoking a cigar, carrying….a large hammer.
Brown eyes widening as Lucille focused on the two, but more importantly the man that just entered became more recognizable as the last thing the girl saw before passing out.
The man smiled warmly, then looked at the creature holding the tray, speaking in a neutral tone, "Just put the tray on the table and leave us for a few, thanks."
Almost like a dog, the creature obeyed and limped slowly towards the desk and placed the food tray on the desk not too far from where Lucille was laying, leaving her in shock at that. The creature upon completion of his orders, turned and left the man and Lucille, closing the metal door behind.
An eerie quietness passed, what seemed like forever between the two, but it was a mere minute before the man spoke, slowly facing his sunglasses-covered eyes towards the middle Raddu sibling, a warm smile appearing.
"Well..well...well. Lucille Raddu, I haven't seen you since you were this high, how are you? What are you doing around these parts? Sorry about that, I didn't mean to make you feel frightened, those things you would call, I call Haulers, they won't hurt ya, I would make sure of it. Are you hungry?"
Lucille could only stare, brown eyes blinking slowly with mouth agape at the man for a second, before speaking up with a confused tone.
"I'm sorry, who are you? Where am I? What are you doing?"
The man could only let out a slight chuckle, before removing his sunglasses, revealing dark brown eyes, his grayish hair sliding the sides of face, a couple strands coming in front of his face. Approached slowly, making the girl feel slightly tense, though spoke in a soothing but optimistic tone,
"Lucille, it's me, Karl Heisenberg. You haven't seen me since you were like 5 years old, may you have grown into quite the woman, I didn't think you would recognize me just like that. You had quite the nasty bang up on your head, since those hairy fuckers tried to rip ya to bits, I brought you out of there and to my factory."
The girl's eyebrows raised, she began to now feel a little easier from a man who did fit the appearance of the person that rescued her from the attack, but he brought her here, wherever here is. The one thing that made the woman widen her eyes so much, was that this man knew her, last seeing her as a little girl. Her curiosity got the best of her and she spoke again softly then with a sign of frustration,
"You saved me? How did you even find me? What the fuck is going on around here?"
Heisenberg gave the girl a modest look with his brown eyes, before bringing his cigar to smoke, letting out a small trail of thick clear air from his unshaven face.
"Oh geez Lucille, you definitely are your father's daughter. Language kid. Haha it's all good, I can be quite vulgar myself, especially when."
All of a sudden that loud metallic pounding happened again. BANG….BANG…..BANG..
At that point, the man's face went from a soft smile, to hardened annoyance and anger. Heisenberg walked over a few steps to a fair sized metal grate on the floor, and opened it up as well as his annoyed voice shouting,
"SHUT YOUR FUCKING HOLE, BEFORE I COME DOWN AND SHUT IT FOR YOU!"
With that, the pounding and banging immediately stopped after the long grey haired man slammed the grate shut. It shocked Lucille but caused her to let out a small laugh.
Clearing his throat, with an embarrassed cough and expression, Heisenberg looked towards the middle Raddu sibling, before speaking softly, "Sorry. When moments like that happen."
After a few moments, the two stared at each other, as quietness passed before Lucille spoke up with curious brown eyes, "How do you know so much about me Mr. Heisenberg?"
The man just chuckled lightly, before approaching the injured girl who sat upright, pulling her knees to her chest. His dark brown eyes looked at a spot on the bed before using a tone to ask for permission quietly, "May I?"
Lucille nodded and smiled softly, and spoke in a near whisper, "Please do."
At that point, Karl Heisenberg sat on the bed, his weight brought down the mattress a bit, but nothing that would have broken the cot nor knocked the girl off it.
He spoke softly, while looking into the middle Raddu sibling's eyes, "I've known about you Lucille, your siblings, and much of your family for a long long time. I've become good friends with your uncle….and was good friends with your father as well." The man's voice trailed off, before speaking again, "I'm sorry Lucille, with what happened to your parents, it was a great blow to a lot of people, me in particular when those cowardly fucks took away your life, when you were so young."
Lucille could merely blink in fascination, then her eyes turned to the floor beside her as she spoke sombre with some emotion in her tone, "I wish I got more time with him, with mama, with everyone."
Heisenberg looked with a sorry expression, before speaking softly, "I know he was a real good man, good family man." Continuing, his face took on a shade of anger, "I had a chance too to find those bastards that did that to them, to you guys, the Duke told me what happened, gave me information, I attempted to look for them for a couple days, but no avail, like they just disappeared into thin air, otherwise I would've made them pay dearly."
The brown eyed Raddu had a fearful look, though she would've loved to be a witness to that, though not as much as her younger brother, Victor with so much anger had built in them over the years. She wished and hoped they would've died off, the way they made her heart felt like it died off that unfortunate day.
Heisenberg then let out a sigh, before looking to Lucille's way, his eyes focused on the bandaged part of her temple, hands caressing the area of injury, "You sure took a beating out there, those hairy shits almost had ya, sorry about that, for seems like days, those monsters you'd call, otherwise Lycans have been all over the village and countryside, I've had like to way of contacting or controlling them. Just a rogue group of assholes destroying property and lives."
Lucille, just nodded before speaking softly, "Thank you for saving Mr. Heisenberg, I've heard of Lycans running rampant, but had hoped I wasn't gonna be a victim to them." Then her brown eyes widened, as her hand came up to her face, feeling her eyes water, and feeling almost...ashamed, spoke sadly, "Oh my god, my uncle's truck, it's ruined, how am I ever gonna explain this to him, he'll kill me."
Heisenberg laughed softly, giving a definitive reassuring smile, "Lucille, your like family, the things your uncle and father have done for me over the years. I fixed it all, like new. Filled the gas tank too. The most I could do as a thank you for the Raddus."
The girl couldn't help but nearly bounce out of the bed, feeling excitement and relief, but instead put a soft hand on the man's, looking with almost tears in her eyes, letting out a very soft, "Thank you Mr. Heisenberg."
Heisenberg merely looked deep with his eyes into Lucille's brown ones, while taking two fingers and moving a strand of dirty blonde hair away from her face, "Just work with Karl, please, this ain't a formal meeting, I hate that shit, enough of it around my sister."
Brown eyes gave the man a puzzled look, before she spoke softly, "Your sister?"
Heisenberg then looked to a large wall, with the photographs that Lucille identified as the Lords of the village. The girl turned her brown eyes the same direction, before the man spoke, giving an angered growl in his throat, and got up approaching the wall with photographs across.
He put his cigar out in an ashtray on the desk, walked to the wall and pointed, "Well meet my family Lucille. The people the village describes as nothing but vile, evil, heartless monsters. Lady supersized bitch, ugly ass psycho doll, and a moronic freak. Still, we are a family, have been for a long time now, despite...our differences..and our mother...Miranda."
Heisenberg's voice trailed off, while glancing back at a curious brown eyed look from the Raddu sibling, but continued now with a softer tone, almost saddened,
"We aren't as normal as you can see Lucille...but before all this...I had a family, and I still do keep in contact with them...but I don't know if they are okay."
Lucille couldn't help but feel slightly alarmed, although what seemed to be an adopted family, who's mother is Miranda? The girl felt inclined to show some sympathy and spoke quietly, "Why wouldn't your actual family be okay?"
Heisenberg merely stared at the wall, and not the girl on the cot behind him, responding softly, "Because...they are in Europe right across….and they...and I….we have Jewish blood."
Lucille's brown eyes widened so much as to nearly popping out of her head. Her heart skipped a beat. She had nothing never or ever against people who were Jews. Despite her country, Romania was starting to show such animosity towards Jews, and listen to people like her best friend Vesna's fiance a member of a political organization, the Iron Guard, a group aiming to bring such violence across the country mainly at Jews...across this man who just saved her life, share his pain, brought her food, had been kind to her family. She wished she could do more, but her thoughts were stopped as Heisenberg continued, emotions rising and still staring at the wall of pictures of who she recognized off first as Lady Dimitrescu, then Donna Beneviento with some doll beside her, and a very unusual cloth covered looking person.
"There in deep trouble Lucille, I know..a family member wrote to me that someone in your family was gonna marry someone of mine and race to America. But I've not heard anything for a while now. I don't know what's happening...and I'm afraid something bad has."
Lucille spoke, with the mindset to give some form of reassurance to the man, softly, "Perhaps everything went okay, your family is safe, maybe the occupied area of Europe they didn't look there, or they got away before the Nazis came."
Heisenberg turned his head into the girls' direction, gave a soft smile, his brown eyes showing a glimmer of hope into her brown ones showing the same affection, "Thank you Lucille, I needed that. I hope so too, but well...guess it's me and this band of a family here. We have our fights like all families do, I tell ya. But I guess we have some good moments too."
Then brown eyes flickered widely, Lucille had an idea before speaking with a bit of optimism,
"Mr. Heisenberg, I had an idea. You remember my young brother, Victor right?"
The man raised an eyebrow, before smiling at the memory of the youngest Raddu sibling, "Yeah of course I remember little vic, as I called him, how is the little guy? Heard he moved away from here."
Lucille nodded rapidly, smiling from ear to ear, "He's doing so well, little Vic, I'll tease him about that one some day. Anyways he did move to my Aunt Ludmilla in Germany. He apparently even joined the German army. He may have contacts or connections to find how your family is doing, he definitely isn't a Nazi but a soldier, so he probably could help find and maybe even make sure they stay safe."
Heisenberg looked with some hope, but felt a surge of fear into his stomach, spoke softly, "Well you can try, but I don't think all soldiers will turn their eyes from Hitler's orders. Still we can try. He marched across Europe, that's odd, I thought he liked it with your uncle and aunt."
The girl looked away for a second before speaking quietly with some sadness to her tone, "I did too, he seemed to be happy for a bit. But he had a lot of nightmares, and a lot...of anger too...didn't wanna farm...wanted more with his life...and just left after writing to aunt Ludmilla."
The girl then turned to head back as she looked at Heisenberg for a moment, before her stomach started to rumble, she went red in embarrassment, the man laughed before walking over to the desk and grabbing the tray of food and approaching Lucille's bed, setting it softly down on her lap and spoke,
"You better eat something little missy. I send you back to your uncle starving, he'll kick my ass for that one, we know his temperament right?"
Lucille laughed out loud, smiling, "You definitely know my uncle Mihai, Mr...erm I mean Karl. Thank you for the meal."
Heisenberg smiled widely again and went red with slight embarrassment, "Sorry I'm not a gourmet chef, we got the basics around here."
The middle Raddu sibling merely shook her head, smiled and even put her soft hand into the man's gloved hand speaking softly, "It's fine Karl..thank you again."
At that moment, the two merely stared as Lucille began to work on the sandwich. Although the bread was slightly stale, her stomach couldn't care less. She was starving and didn't expect her aunt Ester's meal here, but the sandwich worked on rather fast, and the coffee was...amazing, almost like an Italian blend.
By the time her meal was done, she got crumbs over the blankets and part of her red dress that she was surprised survived the attack earlier. She even let out a burp by accident, glowing bright red in the face.
Heisenberg laughed loudly at that moment, before speaking playfully, "Better out than in, I always say."
Lucille laughed loudly at that comment, before the two locked their eyes, another moment of quietness passing through.
But the moment was interrupted, a telephone rang across from the two on Heisenberg's work desk loudly, snapping the two in it's direction.
Lucille merely glared at it in confusion, whilst Karl Heisenberg looked at it, anger showing up on his face, he knew who was ringing him, and at this hour in the middle of the night, his thoughts trailing…
What the fuck does that bitch want now? Doesn't she ever sleep? I wonder if I ignore it, will she finally go the fuck away.
Heisenberg glanced at the girl for a second, almost looking for permission to which Lucille just shrugged her shoulders. Finally the man approached angrily at the telephone to pick up the receiver, answering with a firm tone,
"The hell do ya want Alcina?"
Lucille attempted to listen in, although the receiver wasn't too loud she could hear a loud female voice of what would be the countess on the other end, it was very loud and almost sounded...panicky
Heisenberg's face showed something too at that point, concern..speaking into the receiver,
"What? What do you mean your castle is under attack? How so, you're a 9 foot 6 giant with massive claws. You got kids that are man eating bugs. How the hell do you need my help?"
Lucille couldn't help but feel a bit of disappointment towards Heisenberg's reaction, this was family, regardless of being adopted, to be there for them. Yes she had heard all from the villagers saying how evil the tall countess was and her daughters. But this was family, embrace it, before it's taken away from you, like it had happened to her."
Lucille finally removed the tray and blankets off, before starting to stand up in her slightly damaged red dress. She crossed her arms, looking at Heisenberg who's eyes widened and raised his voice,
"What the hell is going on there Alcina, what do you mean the Duke has an assistant? Who? Anton? Why is Mihai's nephew there? Christ...shut up...I'll be there shortly, don't do anything stupid, okay."
And with that, the man put the receiver down, looking with brown eyes that showed concern and tension at Lucille.
Lucille couldn't help but feel her stomach turning, as fear creeped into it. Speaking with a shaking voice, "W-What do you mean about Anton? What's going on there Karl?"
Heisenberg, bit his lip for a second, before looking over, picked up his sunglasses, spoke finally, "Your brother is delivering supplies over at my sister's home, it's under attack, some sort of hunters. They asked for my help, I'm going there right now, stay here until I get back, I won't be long."
The girl shook her head, and gave the man a firm stare, before speaking with a defiant tone, "I'm not staying here, not when my brother could be in danger, I'm coming Mr. Heisenberg."
Heisenberg's jaw dropped, before speaking in the same firm tone, "No Lucille, you almost got killed outside tonight, I'm looking after ya, it's too dangerous where I'm going, just stay."
Lucille, stomped her dark shoe down, would not take no, "I'm coming Mr. Karl Heisenberg."
The man just stared, mouth agape, before resigned to defeat and said, "Let's go then."
The two left in a quick hurry towards the situation that had developed at the castle, leaving in the newly repaired pickup truck, Lucille driving it rapidly towards the mansion's direction.

Castle Dimitrescu
Romania
December 1940
A slight bit of panic rose into the stomach of the blue eyed man facing the direction of a set of screams. Something was clearly wrong.
Anton Raddu was already in a panic state, as his secret relationship with the eldest Dimitrescu daughter was now uncovered by the middle sibling. Fearful of the words to be brought to the countess's attention, Bela's mother, Lady Dimitrescu and what would happen not so much to him, but the blonde Dimitrescu standing beside him, also glancing with curious blonde eyes towards the same direction that Anton was looking.
Even the middle sibling, glanced with concerned eyes in it's direction. None of the three said a word.
Then at that moment, before even saying anything, a set of large white coloured doors, were barged open. A tall, short bearded man armed in his hands with a rifle, wearing a dark brown leather coat, dark pants, and black boots, glanced with a rageful look at the two Dimitrescu sisters and Anton, while the three looked at the hunter's direction with wide shocked eyes.
Immediately, the short bearded man shouted, "I've come to claim my pay for your deaths! You Dimitrescu whores!"
And began to aim the rifle, opening fire but not aiming well, merely shooting, cocking the bolt back and forth, rounds spewing out of the chamber, hitting much of the stairwell's railing, and then aiming at the couch.
Without hesitation, both Bela and Cassandra transformed into their insect forms, flying away from the danger of the hunter's rifle shooting everywhere. Anton Raddu, dropped to the floor behind the couch, covering his head in sheer shock over the ongoing assault.
Not even a second, a group of insects reformed beside the downed blue eyed Raddu, becoming Bela's human form, clearly shaking from the attack, but focused showing her maturity and state of calmness as the eldest Dimitrescu. She looked at Anton intensely, speaking firmly, "Anton stay down, I'm gonna see if Daniela's okay. Don't leave this spot, it's too dangerous and you're not even armed yourself. We'll take care of these bastards. Don't do anything though, no heroics, you'll be okay, I promise."
All the man could do was nod with wide eyes and mouth agape, unsure of what else to say, "I'll stay here Bela, you be careful too, this wasn't what I had in mind for who would win that challenge ya know."
All the blonde woman could do was give a smile, yet her serious look still came on, she shouted in her sister's direction, "Cassandra, keep this man thing idiot distracted, I'm gonna find Dani!"
Cassandra, who's insects were flying all over the place, merely let out a giggle before shouting back, "Oh fuck off already Bela, I'm having my play time with this pathetic idiot now!"
Bela scoffed a sigh of annoyance, before she reformed into her insect form and flew in the direction of the kitchen, fast.
--
Wicked glaring green eyes shone down upon the wounded redheaded Dimitrescu, on the kitchen floor, with her hand held firm to a silver pistol, now aimed at the tattooed forehead of the youngest sibling. Elena relished the moment, something she waited for so long, glaring intensely, smirking with such darkness in her smile.
All Daniela could do at this point, it glare up, swollen yellow eyes from her tears of pain and fear, and speak up, "Elena why? Why would you do this? Don't you know what we've done, we gave you not only work, we protected you when Cassandra was gonna drag you to the cellar. We trusted you."
The green eyed treacherous maid laughed out loud before speaking in a mocking tone, "Why? Why do I do this? I had so many friends I watched slayed and eaten by you disgusting carnivorous creatures for doing fucking nothing! And all you did was work me like a dog across this godforsaken castle! Oh you, your sister and that tall demonic bitch protected me? From Cassandra? What should I give you all trophies? I have a better idea, I help my men end your pathetic bloodline, they get your asses as trophies, and we all claim your family's wealth. You will never do anyone wrong again, you're all dead."
It was clear, there was no negotiating out of this terrifying moment for Daniela at this moment, with the frozen air practically burning her and killing her insect swarm. Although the wounds in her stomach and shoulder were healed, thanks to the quick regeneration of her condition with the mold inside of her, it still hurt significantly, and also lost a lot of blood. Daniela also realized a shot to her temple would definitely end her, she couldn't call her insects to form and fly away from the danger, not with the frozen air hitting her. Her time was running out, she had to think quickly. She finally put her hand to her side, and felt the only thing that might save her life.
Her sickle.
With whatever strength she had, she grabbed her razor sharp weapon, and swung it into Elena's leg, causing the woman to shriek in pain and drop the gun. Then with all she could with her strength, she got up and shoved the woman into the hunter with a loud crash, both slamming into the door, and closing it and the cold entering. The move momentarily stunning the young hunter and maid.
Then out of nowhere, another group of insects entered the kitchen, forming into Daniela's sister, Bela and her human form. The blonde Dimitrescu quickly ran over to Daniela, severely weakened from the assault and the cold, wide yellow eyes of concern, feeling them water in despair over her youngest sibling's condition, still kept as calm as she could be, "You okay Dani?"
The redhead could only grab her one arm, while leaning against the kitchen counter, muttering almost in a whisper, "Elena….traitor...WATCH OUT!"
Bela, had a mere second before the younger hunter was upon them, quickly disappearing into her insect form and scattering in all directions, the hunter attempted to swing his large knife as it slashed, but missed the blonde woman hitting nothing but open air.
The hunter's eyes widened in disbelief, scanning all around the kitchen, only noticing his partner, the maid still down on the ground, and the redheaded Dimitrescu up against the wall, weakened by the cold and the gunshot wounds. He grinned, tightening his grip on the knife, planning a final and fatal approach towards the vulnerable Daniela, now looking at the man with tear stricken yellow eyes.
All of a sudden, the young man's attempt was stopped, as the blonde Dimitrescu reformed behind him, grabbing the man by the coat and turning him around.
Bela then grabbed the man by the throat, feeling such emotions of rage, hate, anger, frustration all boiled into one shot. Her yellow eyes were daggers and her teeth with fangs gritting. She would dare not show any mercy to this young man, who broke into her home, attempted to murder her family, she was going to relish this moment before dealing with the maid that also betrayed. She just wanted all this pain, all these attacks, everything to stop, to leave them alone.
Her prey's desire was clear, to end the Dimitrescu line here. But his eyes, a dark blue widened with a new emotion, terror. The young hunter was barely in his mid 20's, his mouth agape, trembling at this moment. His hands brought themselves to try to loosen the near death grip of the blonde woman holding the man so firm on his neck in front of him.
Bela could merely glare absolute daggering amber orbs at the man, as her choices were of so many how to end this man thing in front of her. She felt his heart thumping at an incredible pace, and spotted the veins of his soooo delicious terrified blood pumping through his body, adrenaline soaring. Perhaps the blonde Dimitrescu could merely squeeze her hand tighter around this man thing's windpipe, shattering it. Perhaps she could also indulge, in such sweet blood, bringing her fangs down on the man's jugular, ripping flesh and indulging in such sweet blood into her watering mouth. Or perhaps, she could bring out her sickle, and slice this man to bits. But something hit her in deep thought, something really deep….
The man thing was young, mid 20's, probably barely experienced life, he was someone's son, boyfriend, perhaps even husband, could even have borne kids with someone. He maybe wasn't here of his own will, perhaps pressured or forced with the other hunter that was in the main hall. How would his family react to his death, did he have siblings too? Almost as the blonde woman's thoughts were sent back to Anton and his siblings, how they lost people so special to them.
As she went through these thoughts, her yellow eyes widened and her dark eyebrows. Then her arm glided up to her chest area, and felt that necklace with the locket, almost like she could hear that voice from that special man, Anton Raddu, that spoke such incredible words as if it were yesterday behind the castle, by the lake.
"This is something my mother had, days before she died that unfortunate day. She told me to have it if anything happened to her, told me to hold onto this as she did during dark times. To be full of life to remember her and to remember to be a man of hope, faith and charity. I see so much of her in you, your dedication and loyalty to your family, your caring, smart, funny, beautiful, and I know she is looking down and would want a person like you to have something like this."
Bela gripped the locket tightly, Anton had trusted her to wear something that represented his late mother, a man who saved her life, laughed with her, showed her his drawings, gave her a beautiful rose as a gift, who….kissed her, more than once. Who may even be falling in love with her?
The blonde Dimitrescu closed her eyes tightly, she was not a fool to love, but had never experienced it. Only with family love shown around her sisters and mother no matter how deep or bad the argument. She had even found the odd time to read the odd love poem or romantic silly book that her dear youngest sister, Daniela was so fond of, a hopeless romantic the redhead often fantasized as the damsel rescued by sir knight and running off into the sunset, happily ever after.
Though Bela generally pushed such childish activity aside, she was the one who crammed her nerdy head into factual books or running aerons for her mother.
Still, the emotions running through were anger. But not at this man thing, this young man, at herself. Becoming riddled with guilt and shame, given the chance to end someone's life too easily, through her blindness with anger. Yes this man had a hand hurting the family tonight, but she was much better than this. This is what the village claimed and accused her to be, not Anton, not someone as far as it felt to her deeply, he loved her.
Bela then felt warmth run down her cheek, a lone tear glided down her face, she was tired, she wanted all of this pain, death, destruction to stop. To live and be free with her family. She would not bring herself to end this man, she couldn't.
Finally, the blonde woman let the grip loosen, but instead grabbed the man by the shirt and pulled the young man close to her face, her frown and eyes said enough as well as her threatening tone,
"Listen good man thing, and listen well. You will turn around, and get out that door behind you. You will close it. And you will run...and run….and run as far away from this castle and village, never coming back here again. If I ever see you here or around anywhere again. I promise I will find you, and slowly, painfully end you. NO GET THE HELL OUT!"
At that, Bela let go of the man's shirt, blue eyes widened in sheer terror, but merely nodded rapidly. Opening the door for a split second and closing it behind, barely any of the cold air hitting Bela to cause any discomfort.
That moment, the blonde Dimitrescu wiped her face and eyes, not noticing a sight happening behind her.
Elena had recovered and was rising from the kitchen floor, holding a young hunter's pistol. Her green eyes focused on ending the eldest Dimitrescu sibling in front of her, with the pistol pointed right at the back of Bela's head, who was completely unaware of this situation that had developed. The maid's finger on the trigger, a split second from being pressed and finishing the blonde woman.
At that point, Daniela, though badly weakened from the assault, saw the situation and had to make a split second life saving decision. Using whatever strength laid in her body, she pushed herself off the kitchen counter and rushed towards the treacherous maid holding the gun to his sister's head. The youngest Dimitrescu, grabbed the sickle and rushed at the woman about to end Bela's life.
With a scream, swung her arm back with all her strength, and swung forward.
The sight was like watching a meat cleaver go through a thin piece of meat. A clean cut with the razor sharp tool, right through the throat line before Elena could react. A slash, and the woman's head was sliced off her body, falling to the floor with a clunk as well as her limp body, the blood squirting from the neck line, pooling all over the ground below.
Bela brought her head around in a flash, to see the sight in front of her, Daniela covered in the maid's blood, huffing, nearly collapsing on the ground. She ran to her sister's aid, holding her tightly, as the youngest Dimitrescu sobbed lightly into her eldest sibling's shoulder. As the blonde Dimitrescu petted her hand through Daniela's red hair, soothing the emotions the youngest was going through.
But the traumatic moment the two went through was only getting started, loud gunshots were heard back from the main hall. Causing Bela to feel alarmed with her sister Cassandra and Anton around the second hunter. She looked at Daniela, speaking softly, "Are you okay sis?"
Daniela, grinned weakly, responding softly with a small smile, "Never better Bells."
Bela used her quick thinking, help her youngest sibling replenish as well as set out the punishment to the traitor, Elena, headless lying prone on the ground in front of them. She spoke with a firm tone, "Dani, I need to see if Cass and Mr. Raddu are okay. Stay here, be safe, feed on that bitch's flesh, you'll get your strength back. I'll be back as soon as I can." With that, Daniela gave a slow nod and small smile, Bela kissed her sister on the top of her red hair, before transforming into her insect swarm, which flew very fast out of the kitchen.
--
Using his hand, with incredible precision the older, short bearded hunter aimed his bolt action rifle aimed at the couch, where the downed Anton Raddu lay taking cover from the assault.
Rapid breathing from the hunter, as he focused his eye to blast the eldest Raddu in hiding. His situational awareness did not focus, as a form of insects could be heard buzzing close to him, he harnessed his rifle around his back in the nick of time.
A swarm of insects came upon him, splitting into two groups, one wrapping around the hunter's right arm and the other around the left.
The man's dark brown eyes widened in terror, as the insects enveloped around his hands, and with that began to life the man off the ground, higher and higher, almost some 10 feet above an astonished Anton Raddu, as he looked at the hunter being lifted towards the ceiling.
He began to yell loudly, as the insects didn't bite so much, but just left the man for a second lifted so high off, he feared they would release and drop him to a painful end or with major broken bones.
The short bearded man was shocked, as the insects brought the man with rapid movement, slamming into the banister rail on the second floor of the castle, with a loud crunch, breaking the railing and sending the man to the ground, temporarily shocked.
As he began to snap to, the insect forms disconnected from their grip around the arm and formed around a large group, to which the human form of the middle Dimitrescu sibling, Cassandra came to, grinning playfully and giggling evilly.
Speaking in a playful tone, "I haven't cut open a man in a while."
The hunter, with daggering dark brown eyes, spat at the brunette woman, then pulled out a large hunting knife, speaking with such rage, while grinning with a plan in his dark mind.
"Alright you Dimitrescu whore! Face me, no insects, just you and me, classic combat, what do you say?"
Cassandra, merely glared at her playful amber orbs, grinning and speaking mockingly, "Challenge accepted man thing, what game shall we play tonight?"
With that, the brunette woman dispersed her entire insect swarm away, standing before this elderly looking hunter continuing to grin. Her pale skin, dressed in an unusual black dress, hood down showing off her long brunette hair, sickle in one hand.
At that with inhuman speed, the middle Dimitrescu sibling charged towards the man, who continued to grin, his plan laid out. Cassandra took the first swing attempting to slash the man's throat, but missed as the hunter ducked under the deadly tool, and released a quick closed punch to the woman's abdomen.
The action caused the brunette woman to grab her stomach and let out a groan of pain for a second, not before she turned around smiling maliciously and speaking like the punch didn't phase her, "Oh please, I like it rough man thing."
The hunter was undeterred, showing almost no fear, and brought his hand taunting Cassandra with a motion to come on and continue the attack. The brunette Dimitrescu obliged right away, not sensing the man's plan, rapidly closed and held her arm up with the sickle planning to come down and cut the man in half.
The short bearded man, used that split second to use his large boot and kicked Cassandra with all his strength, with a large oof, managed to knock the brunette woman to the ground on her back, her yellow eyes glaring with heavy anger, as the two were catching their breaths.
The hunter did not hold off, he approached even quicker than Cassandra realized, and kicked her across the pale voice, causing the woman to fall to the side and land on her stomach.
In just those two attacks, Cassandra was at an all time shock, a man thing had knocked her almost out of the fight, this was impossible, this could never happen. Then she felt slight dread, could this man thing be a better fighter than her?
Dark brown eyes narrowed, and a malicious grin came to the man's face, he had the Dimitrescu sibling, where he wanted her. He took his bolt action rifle off, and quickly cocked the bolt, pointed the rifle and shot Cassandra in the lower back before she could even clue in to what was happening, or call her swarm to let the shot pass through.
The shot was painful, real painful, as Cassandra was usually a swift, brutal, combatant who would never let a moment like this happen. But now it did, and the pain searing through her lower back, face, and body caused her not to call on her swarm, but start to feel a surge of panic rain upon her face.
The hunter grinned, his target ripe for the taking, at that point he pulled another sharp blade, a bayonet and connected it to the end of the rifle's muzzle. He was gonna impale the blade in the brunette woman's skull, ending her that way. He made a slow movement, listening to the rapid breathing, as Cassandra had her hand behind her back, grabbing the bullet wounded area.
Below, Anton Raddu watched with shocked blue eyes at the devastation above, and started to feel unease as this hunter was in a position to kill Bela's sister. Although the eldest Raddu knew that the woman was in no which way polite or nice to him, he knew first hand how important Bela's family and sisters were to her, and he also made that pledge to protect those he cared about.
The man scanned around for anything that could help but saw no weapons, although he told Bela he would stay away from this assault or get involved, Anton couldn't help but feel obliged to help in some way. He got off the floor, feeling cowardly enough, and ran in the direction of the staircase, skipping steps, as his breath came in rapid. Using adrenaline, reached the top and spotted the short bearded hunter, closing the distance as he planned the fatal blow on Bela's sister.
Anton then snuck in carefully, approaching the hunter he had only one idea.
He got up behind close on the hunter, reached up front, grabbed the rifle and pulled the weapon towards the neck of the short bearded man, tighter and harder.
The hunter was surprised at this, and did use all his strength to pull the weapon away, slowly strangling the man, as Anton pulled harder to try to take the bearded man out.
At the last second, the hunter reached for the bayonet, disconnected it, and used the firm grip to stab at the eldest Raddu, which was done in succession.
Anton yelped in pain, grabbing his lower leg, as it was stabbed not once but twice, feeling blood ooze on to his hand, the hunter turned around and pushed the blue eyed man down the stairs, which happened.
The blue eyed Raddu, fell down the entire flight of steps rapidly, finally reaching the bottom and smacking his side off the cold tile floor, blood continuing to pool on the floor.
Cassandra, saw this moment where this man thing that Bela was close to with wide eyes in shock trailing deep thoughts…
The delivery boy just saved me? Bela's man saved my ass?
Snapping out of her state of shock, Cassandra used her strength to get up, her back wound healing from the mold in her body, feeling slight regeneration and adrenaline searing. Gripped her sickle tightly, called her insect swarm to form, and charged right at the bearded hunter with a shriek of her voice.
Brown eyes, faced in the brunette Dimitrescu's direction at a moment too late to do anything, first the swarm of insects blocked his vision, then the moment.
Cassandra's arm was wound back and released as she flew with all her speed, the sickle making contact across the hunter's throat, a slick cut with the razor tool where the man's windpipe was. Blood immediately trickled down the throat, as the hunter's hand grabbed his throat, gargling, and dropping to the floor slowly.
The brunette Dimitrescu, merely stood a few feet ahead of her prey, before turning to face the downed hunter, speaking playfully, "How's it feel?"
With the second hunter now down, Cassandra went to look down at the bottom of the stairs, at the man who just saved her life, Anton. His body was on the floor, grabbing at his leg as he tried to get up, but felt such pain it was difficult to.
At that moment, another insect form appeared, Bela reformed with her yellow eyes widened at seeing Anton's stab wounds in his leg, him limping in pain slowly away from the stairs, another gash in his head, started to bleed.
The blonde woman quickly ran over to Anton, her mouth agape, her gloved hands moving over the wounded areas of the man's body.
Before she could say anything, as if the world froze, another large bearded hunter, the pack leader appeared with his crossbow already being aimed. The leader with no expression aimed his crossbow at his primary target, two arrows ready to end the woman, who ended his brother. The weapon fired the two shots.
Anton's blue eyes widened in horror, and realized he had to make a life saving decision. He used whatever strength he could, got off the ground, and pushed Bela a couple feet away.
The next second, two whooshes sounded between the space of Anton Raddu and Bela Dimitrescu, as the blonde woman watched her eyes in horror, as the arrows made impact in Anton's lower abdomen.
A blood curdling scream went through the hall, as gloved hands went to cover a wide open mouth of Bela Dimitrescu, as she the man who cared so much for her, his eyes looking upwards and his body landing with a hard thump on the floor on his stomach.
The blonde Dimitrescu ran to the fallen man's aid, tears already rapidly falling down her cheeks, sobbing hard, beginning to shake, speaking quietly then loudly to Anton, "No! NO NO NO! Anton No! Not you! You didn't need that to happen! Wake up! ANTON! TALK TO ME!!! ANTON!!! HELP ME SOMEONE!!!HELP ME PLEASE!!!"
The leader could only stare in disbelief, a human sacrificed himself to save this vile woman who ended his brother. He merely shrugged off the negative thought, and focused on reloading his next round of arrows.
Before even completing mid way through, the man's focus did not show what approached behind. While continuing to reload his weapon and look down, he felt absolute terror, at the sight that had befallen upon him. Five long sharp black claws just ripped in front of his chest area. The man's breath went quick in rapid movement, as his head slowly looked behind, the eyes glaring at the one who just did this.
Lady Alcina Dimitrescu, had just impaled the pack leader with her claws, lifting the man off the ground, and turning him around her yellow eyes glaring in such disgust and hate, speaking slowly and firmly, "Now you will learn, what happens to anyone who dares to cross the House of Dimitrescu."
And with that, Alcina tossed the leader like a ragdoll across the stairwell behind the two towards the front door.
With the assault over, Alcina glanced over, confused with showing sympathetic eyes towards the sobbing form of her eldest daughter, Bela now on top crying and holding the eldest Raddu's face looking for any sign of activity, running her gloved hands on the man's face, lips, and eyes. A lifeless form on the floor of the castle, as the middle sibling was beginning to slowly walk down the stairs, her gloved hand covering her mouth and yellow eyes wide. Then the youngest approached slowly, her eyes wide, limping still in pain and weakness as her blood soaked mouth was agape at the scene of devastation around.
Then the moment interrupted, with the front door opening as Anton's sister Lucille came in running followed by Karl Heisenberg, running up the stairs, and seeing the sight upon their widened horrified eyes, Anton Raddu's motionless body.
