A/N: I DID IT, I DID THE THING! READ THE CHAPTER QUICK SO YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!
Alcina gave the three older girls their assignments. "I'll make the first one easy. Pick any book in the library and write a short summary of it. It can be less than a page." Daniela grabbed an art history book, mildly happy about the assignment. Bela picked up an old storybook, and Cassandra just used the closest book to her. Now that the three were busy, Alcina sat next to Seline. "Have you been going to school?" The little girl, quite embarrassed, shook her head. "Not since… Well… Not for a long time. I kinda taught myself how to read, but I'm not very good…" Alcina was just impressed that she tried. "That's alright. You're only 7, after all. How about math?" That was the one subject that Seline did know. "I can add and subtract real well!" Wanting to see how much she could do, Alcina opened one of the math workbooks. "Do you think you can try some of these while I make sure my other daughters actually do the assignment and don't whisper about how bored they are?" Seline laughed as the other three siblings blushed, forgetting their mother's heightened senses. As Alcina corrected Cassandra's grammar and Daniela's spelling, Seline threw herself into working on the math problems, not wanting to disappoint her mother. She was able to do about half of the problems on the page easily, until she arrived at harder double-digit addition. The subtraction was doable, but she had no clue how to carry numbers over. When Alcina checked in on her a few minutes later, she found Seline doodling a cute bee and a flower. "Did you get stuck?" Seline jumped, a bit startled, then nodded. "Yeah. The numbers don't go into each other right!" Looking at the problem, Alcina struggled to understand what Seline meant. "What do you mean, they don't go into each other right?" Seline looked at the problem angrily. "I mean that the two smaller numbers don't go into each other and make ten! There's some left over!" Realizing that teaching Seline would be quite different from teaching the other girls, Alcina tried her best to explain it. "So, the problem is 17 plus 14. First, you take the 7 and the 4 and add them together. What do you get?" Seline took a moment to think. "Eleven!" Alcina nodded. "And what do you get when you take 10 from 11?" That one was easy to subtract. "1!" Alcina wrote it all out on a piece of paper. "So you've got 10, and a spare 1. How many other tens do you have?" Seline looked at the 17 and the 14. "Two?" Alcina wrote down two tens, and added the third one. "So what's 10 plus 10 plus 10?" That one took a while to figure out. "…30! And then you put the other one in, and you get 31! That's the answer, right?" Alcina smiled at her daughter proudly. "Yes, it is. Can you try the next one by yourself?" Seline got to work, and Alcina went to the table where Bela, Daniela, and Cassandra were working. "You all can take a break. I need your help with something." Cassandra jumped up, happy to be free from her (very small) report. Daniela followed her eagerly, since she had been working pretty hard on her report and needed to step away. Bela, though, finished scribbling some notes, gave her report a quick scan for errors, and finally stood up. "What do you need, Mother?"
Stepping back from the mishmash of clothes on her bed, Alcina sighed. There were maybe about twenty outfits in total, and not one of them would fit Seline. And while she could just trim them with her claws again, that wouldn't disguise the fact that they were pretty old. Seline deserves better than these. Suddenly, the phone rang. "Hello?" Once again, it was Donna. "Hey big sis, sorry for calling again." Alcina smiled. "It's fine, Donna. What do you need?" On the other end of the line, Donna quickly waved at Angie. "I was thinking, what if we had a party? Y'know, celebrating Seline's adoption?" Alcina stopped to consider that. "That's an excellent idea. What day?" Donna hesitated sheepishly. "Ummm… Today? Angie and Moreau are helping me set up, and all we needed was for you to say yes." Alcina rolled her eyes, slightly amused. "It was going to be today no matter what I said, correct? Oh well. What time?" Donna took a minute to consult Moreau. "How about 7? Don't worry, Karl will come by to pick you up. He put some sort of heating thing in his carriage for the girls." Alcina nodded and wrote a quick reminder. "Alright. See you soon, Donna." Once she hung up the phone, Alcina got to work on trimming the clothes. Directly below her in the library, Cassandra had given up on her report, and instead decided to stir up some trouble. "Hey, Seline, c'mere." Bela kept a watchful eye on her sisters as Seline walked over. "Yeah, Cass?" Trying not to smile, Cassandra began her prank. "I'm going to teach you something Mother taught us. It'll really impress her to see you already know it!" Seline looked quite excited as Daniela sneakily listened in. "I'm going to teach you how to say 'I love you' in Romanian. Are you ready?" Seline nodded, and Cassandra stifled a laugh. "Repeat after me: f*ck a*s b*tch." Daniela burst into quiet giggles, and even Bela was smiling. Normally, she would stop Cassandra's pranks, but this one was going to be pretty funny. "F*ck a*s b*tch. Did I say it right?" Seline looked at Cassandra, who was laughing even harder. "Y-yeah, spot on." Seline went back to her work, yet they all still could hear her practicing her 'Romanian'. "You're crazy." Bela whispered to Cassandra, but she just winked. "Maybe, but this is going to be freaking hilarious. I can't wait to see Mother's reaction." Daniela nearly started laughing again, just imagining that scene. "We'd better get back to work, I have a feeling that Mother will be back soon." That feeling was accurate, as Alcina walked through the door not even a minute later. "I hope you all have been working, girls." Seline jumped up from her chair, and the other three Dimitrescu sisters prepared. "Mama! Mama!" Alcina looked down at the eager child. "Yes, Seline?" Cassandra bit her lip, trying not to laugh and ruin the surprise. "F*ck a*s b*tch!" For the first time in her life, Alcina was completely speechless. Her other daughters were not, as they burst into laughter. Seline just was confused. "Did I say it wrong?" Alcina didn't respond, instead turning to the laughing troublemakers. "Which one of you did this?" Cassandra did her best to look innocent, but the way she couldn't meet her mother's gaze condemned her. "Cassandra…" As Alcina tried to figure out what to do (restraining laughter herself, might I add), Seline looked dismayed. "Mama, d-did I say something bad? Cassandra told me it meant 'I love you' in… Um… Another language." Cassandra swarmed away as Bela and Daniela laughed harder. Deciding to give her middle child a head start, Alcina reassured Seline. "You're fine. Just don't say that again… Except to Uncle Karl." That last part was whispered, because Alcina didn't want to be a bad influence. "Now, let's go find where Cassandra is hiding. That's enough 'schoolwork' for the day, you can finish tomorrow."
A/N 2, Electric Boogaloo: There you go, didemi. Cassandra tricked Seline into cursing. And curse she did. How do you all think Heisenberg's gonna react? Anyways, I love the scene suggestions. Send me more, because the ones y'all come up with are hilarious! And remember to drink a lot of water, and enjoy your summer!
