How a Dimitrescu Heart Beats

Chapter 9: Decisions

Castle Dimitrescu

Romania

January 1, 1941

A gorgeous orange fireball began to rise, as the sun began to illuminate across the majestic snow covered landscape across the Romanian countryside.

The small Romanian village below was still asleep, many exhausted from a night of festivities with friends and loved ones, ushering in a new year. Some would be so hungover from celebrating so hard. And across the various other villages, towns and cities, people began to become optimistic for a prosperous new year, some even believed the war would be over soon. Some were just that overjoyed to be partnered with Germany, believing much wealth or reward would come from. And even some were that optimistic to fight against whomever Hitler required the country to come up against.

Whilst the rest of the country had a wonderful evening ushering in all this wishful events, it was not the case at Castle Dimitrescu.

The mood deep in the ancient majestic home was one of tense, despair, and sadness.

The family had survived, just barely another attack from a group of hunters, men determined to end the infamous Dimitrescu family, and earn fortune and family across the country. A one person, a complete stranger to many of the Dimitrescu family, put his life on the line to save them. Anton Raddu.

His willingness to save the middle daughter, Cassandra after she berated and treated Anton so disrespectfully, and his sacrifice to save the one he had such strong feelings for, the eldest daughter, Bela.

Now that man was in this guest room's bed, receiving care from the blonde woman he saved earlier that evening, a victim of two poisonous arrows meant to end Bela's life, but could potentially do that same thing now to Antons.

Despite removing the arrows, and cleaning the wounds as best she could, Bela Dimitrescu was an absolute nervous and exhausted wreck. Barely getting any sleep, consoling both Anton's sister, Lucille and her youngest sister, Daniela Dimitrescu. She vowed to look after Anton to her mother, Alcina and more importantly to Lucille, but much time had surpassed failing to look after the most critical point that Bela was clueless about what had transpired, Anton's infection.

Bela cursed herself quietly, she should've known better, than just a mindless hunter armed with a simple crossbow attempting to take her out. These men had tactics and more importantly an inside source to gather information on the Dimiterscus. She was smarter than this, she was the one who should've been much more prepared. These men knew that the daughters could easily shift into insect form and have neither bullets or razor sharp arrows harm any of them. And she felt gutted inside, to know that so much harm came, she could've seen the red flags and the family and Anton would never have gone through the hell they did.

The clock was ticking, and Bela had to maintain herself in a calm and cool manner, mature, and think what to do. For not just her sake, but panic would undoubtedly finish off the emotional state of Lucille already dealing with so much, and releasing those tears into Bela's youngest sister, Daniela's shoulder.

But what could the eldest Dimitrescu really do? The castle was in no way a hospital, there was no vast amount of medical staff composed of doctors, surgeons and nurses. Nor did they have a vast array of instruments or medicines to deal with the infection. Just determination and luck.

Bela's medical knowledge at basic, was that of almost a nurse but she was not a surgeon nor a full out doctor. She would need a miracle to help Anton survive this. The eldest Dimitrescu was overcome with a sense of dread in her stomach, not knowing how long Anton had this infection for, or even if he would live to tell about it.

Regardless, she breathed in and out deeply, fixated on accomplishing whatever task through hell and high water, Bela would look after her man and help him live.

Bela then exchanged glances with her amber orbs across those in the room. Mixed reactions were exchanged before her, some good and some not so good.

Through her youngest sister, Daniela a hopeful expression overtook the redhead while she continued to hold and soothe the heartbroken sister of Anton, Lucille. That was always Daniela's personality, always full of optimism and such care towards those around her. A good, trustworthy person and a light at the end of a dark tunnel.

While Heisenberg's expression was that of admiration, pride, and even a sense of knowing that everything would be okay, his brown eyes held no reservation that he believed Bela could do anything.

Perhaps that it was no secret that Bela and her Uncle Heisenberg had gotten along tremendously well. The blonde vampire had been to his factory an insurmountable number of times, and while Alcina had left the castle for some business venture, had snuck in her uncle that many times as well. All the times of laughing, sharing common interests in technology and inventions, and confiding into each other the various secrets that Alcina was not even aware of. There were times also Bela was amused by the arguments and vulgarity exchanged between her uncle and mother, like sometimes how childish their antics would be. There wasn't anything Heisenberg would not do for Bela. And she also had some knowledge that Heisenberg would likely not show any aggression or violence towards Anton, when he awoke or if the relationship was discovered.

But despite the warmth from the looks of Daniela and Heisenberg, the mood was replaced quickly from the dreaded looks of her middle sister, Cassandra and her mother, Alcina.

Cassandra deepened her stare, with deadly daggers from Bela then to Anton, angered across the face.

This bewildered the elder sibling to the core of her body, sending shivers down her spine. Bela could not figure out why Cassandra was so angry, that her middle sibling should be eternally grateful, for the selfless act Anton did to save her and Bela's lives. Her thoughts running…

Dammit Cass, what in Mother Miranda's name is your deal….he saved you...he saved me...for once show some damn respect.

But if Cassandra's expression was any warning to come, Alcina's was something else.

Frowning, but holding her ruby lips in a pursed expression, her one pale hand running under her chin, as Lady Dimitrescu carried a suspicious look watching her eldest daughter and the man in the bed, Anton Raddu.

Alcina scanning eyes between the two, deep, she clearly knew something was going on between the two and she would make certain to get to the bottom of it later.

Despite Bela's sense of dread, she needed to act now for Anton's life depended on it.

The blonde vampire, stood up from the bed and walked over quickly towards Daniela and Lucille, clearing her throat and speaking softly to Anton's dear sister,

"Listen Lucille. Anton will be okay, I promise, I need to step out and get something that will help with controlling the infection. Wait here, stay strong. He'll make it through."

Lucille sniffled, wiped her tear stained brown eyes, and gave a small smile,

"Thank you so much Bela. Please do what you can to help my brother. I can't live without him. I trust you will do whatever you need to do to help him."

The blonde woman's reaction was a warm smile, and a deeper sense of confidence from this heartbreaking moment. Bela would save Anton. And brought a pale hand to Lucille's face, speaking softly, "I will Lucille, hang in there, we'll make it through this together."

And as quick as that, Bela ran out of the guest room.

In those few minutes, the tension continued to rise. Lucille just stared longly, just wanting for this nightmare to end, for her dear brother, Anton to awaken just like that. To make everyone laugh and show such compassion as he always loves to do. But this was reality, and a cold one at that.

But if the cold reality were to freeze all in the room, Cassandra sure showed it. While still carrying such an angry expression, spoke in a harsh tone, "For real. Do we honestly expect Bela to save this filthy man thing. Whatever happened to him isn't gonna be getting better anytime soon."

At that Heisenberg turned with an agitated expression and snapped at his brunette niece, "Cassandra, give Bela a chance, she's a real smart cookie. I know she'll do the right thing so lay the fuck off."

The look that Lady Dimitrescu showed to her brother was so rageful, as if she wished to destroy Heisenberg with her eyes, a growl ensued from her and a loud voice, "Don't you dare talk to my daughter with such a filthy worded tone Heisenberg." But to soften the mood, she glanced back at her middle daughter, a firm tone brought Cassandra to look down in shame, "As for you Cassandra, enough of your temper. We will see what your dear sister can do for Mr. Raddu. You're my daughter, so start acting like it."

As for Daniela, an attempt to dissolve the nerve breaking tension, interjected with a tone of her own, while placing two arms on Antons sister's shoulders, "You don't worry about a thing, unkie Heis is right. Bela is so damn smart, if there is anyone who will save your brother, she will. And if she doesn't I'll kick her ass a good one."

Lucille gave a small chuckle, as did Heisenberg. Cassandra just scoffed annoyingly, while Alcina just glanced at Daniela with disapproving golden amber orbs, not appreciating any vulgarity.

With that ended, the door flew open and Bela walked rapidly into the room, carrying a small tea cup in one hand, and an old fashioned looking syringe in her other. She quickly gave a smile passing Lucille before approaching the bed with Anton in it quickly.

The middle Raddu sibling piped up, with a hopeful tone in her voice, "Bela. What is it? Will it save Anton? What are you gonna do?"

The million questions seemingly asked, in turn answered by a refreshed and confident blonde Dimitrescu, "I have something that will help fight the infection, some herbs and nutrients. It won't cure Anton, but it will help stop the spread, buy us some time. And this is going to sedate him, to let him rest as best as he can."

Lucille merely nodded, a small tear escaped out of her brown eye which she wiped quickly.

Immediately, Bela sat on the side of Anton's form resting peacefully, placed the syringe beside her, while leaning forward with the cup. She spoke to Anton softly, "Here...drink this, it will help you out and get you better."

With that, Bela placed the beverage towards the lips of the man, parting them and being able to pour some of the fluid into his dry mouth. Thankfully swallowing the vile tasting liquid, unfortunately some spilled onto his clothes and the bed, but it was easily cleanable. But no reaction came from Anton, not that Bela expected him to, no matter how much she wished he would just flutter his beautiful blue eyes open.

It was one thing the blonde woman could appreciate, those deep blue eyes were so warm, so relaxed, a person could drown in the beautiful essence and colour they shined. So much of Bela had to fight just kissing the man before her, she did not want the two of them to be discovered.

After finishing giving Anton the drink of nutrients and herbs, Bela picked up the syringe, tapping the end of it after squirting a couple drops to ensure no air bubbles existed.

As if she were already a nurse, injected the medicine into the man's arm, slowly and with precision, her pale thumb pressing the plunger until all the liquid finished emptying out of the tool and into Anton's body. Then just as carefully, removing the sharp object from the man's arm and placing it on the wooden nightstand beside them.

Huffing a slow sigh, and staring with her golden eyes over Anton's form breathing so peacefully in and out, bringing a sense of relaxation amongst Bela's exhausted form. Much of the mood in the room seemed to ease slowly.

Alcina then spoke in a soft tone, while glancing over at her daughters, Lucille and Heisenberg, "I think that's enough excitement for this morning, it is quite early. Come everyone, let us return back to bed and rest some more."

At that, Bela interjected quickly, though a not so smart move, but pressed her point, "Please mother, I'd like to remain and watch over Anton, just to make sure he will be okay."

No other words were needed to drive further suspicion over the yellow eyes now scanning over the eldest Dimitrescu, as if attempting to find what this man was to her daughter.

Despite her reluctance, another time and place would be sufficient to ask about the two, Alcina spoke softly, "As you wish my dear, you may remain and please see me later today to let me know of Mr. Raddu's condition and if you require anything further."

As if Bela sensed a disturbance caused by her request, gulped while nodding and replying, "Of course mother."

The French braided middle Raddu sibling also spoke with a request, turning to face the massive form of Lady Dimitrescu, "Please my lady, I wish to stay here too."

Before Alcina could respond, Bela approached Lucille still at Daniela's side, and put an arm on Anton's sister, speaking softly, "I understand how you feel Lucille, but you need rest more than anyone, I promise I'll find you and let you know if there is any change in Anton."

Alcina then responded, beating Lucille to the punch with a response, her warm voice soothing the brown eyed girl, "Agreed, my little dear Lucille, please get some rest, I will have you stay with my daughter, Daniela."

Nothing excited the youngest Dimitrescu more, and the redhead jumped excitedly, her voice full of joy while grabbing Lucille's hand, "Oh how delightful, a room mate, ohhh don't worry Lucille you will be safe and warm, and comfortable, don't mind all my stuffed animals on my bed and the pillows though."

At that, Cassandra rolled her eyes, sighing annoyingly, and speaking up, "Also don't mind shit for brains likes to snore the castle off as well."

Daniela just stuck her tongue out as a response, while Lucille lightly giggled and replied softly, "Alright, I'll stay with you my lady, I don't mind." Then turned to Bela, with such pleading brown eyes, "Bela, please let me know if anything happens, thank you so much."

Bela just smiled, and nodded, "I promise Lucille."

With that, Anton's middle sister nodded slowly, before following the youngest Dimitrescu out of the room, followed by Cassandra and Heisenberg. Alcina was the last to leave, giving her eldest daughter a careful look and scan of her golden eyes, before huffing a tired breath out and leaving the two in the room.

Once the room went quiet, the solar rays of the bright morning sun continued to penetrate into the guest room, shining onto Anton's resting form. The blonde woman approached the window, glancing briefly, her yellow eyes looking at the magnificent beauty of the snow covered property and land.

For a moment, Bela thought what it would be like to experience walking and feeling snow, wishing she could just for once experience its mysterious beauty. Thoughts to what it would be like, to walk outside and feel the light flakes touch the palm of her hand. But put that thought to the side, and closed the curtains bringing some darkness into the room.

Bela then returned to the bedside, sitting herself on a space to the side and watching the man breathe slowly in and out, as if just that moment could put her to sleep. She smiled warmly, speaking softly, "Hang in there handsome, I'll look after you. You rest Anton, I'll be right here for you." Finishing her conversation to Anton, leaned in lightly but for a lengthy period, placed her dark lips to give a warm kiss onto Anton's lips.

She then got off the bed, then found her way and sat in a red cushioned chair beside the bed, continuing to watch the man rest.

But after what seemed like almost an hour, she felt herself feel drained, eyes growing heavy. After trying to find her way, snapping her head back up to stay awake, she just felt too tired to stay awake, her yellow eyes finally closed and head dawned to lay on her shoulder, which meant that Bela fell into a deep sleep.

--

An usual fragrance overtook the blonde woman, a sweet smelling perfume flared her nostrils, as Bela looked over where she was. It seemed like a fair sized room, well lit, warm, and decorated with various roses tied together.

While looking over the area where she was, the blonde woman's eyes widened as a door near her opened, and in strode Bela's Aunt Donna Beneviento and her niece the wooden doll Angie.

Donna wore an incredibly beautiful red silk dress, her dark black hair styled into a bun, her face radiant in beauty and strange enough, the grotesque feature covering the right side of her face was gone, and so showing nothing more than smooth skin across her face. A million dollar smile shining across Bela's Aunt, beaming in such happiness. Angie, Donna's companion and friend as well as Bela's niece, the little wooden doll wore her typical white almost wedding like dress with veil covering her wooden face, carrying a smile as well, not usual for her typical playful and prankster demeanor.

Bela was then fast approached by Donna who grabbed her hand, smiling beautifully and pulling her, saying softly, "Come see, it's almost time dear."

So many questions were running through the blonde vampire's mind, what was her Aunt Donna doing here? Why was she dressed like this? What was happening?

Finally the answer, after being pulled forcefully by the dark haired aunt's hand, brought before a large mirror in the room, and looked. Nothing prepared Bela for what she witnessed as her golden amber orbs nearly popped out of her head.

The eldest Dimitrescu wore an incredible silk white wedding dress that had a red stripe patterned across the train of it, with straps, low cut at the chest level similar to that Lady Dimitrescu wore and with a veil. And just like Bela's mother, had the black rose Dimitrescu boutonniere attached to her left dress shoulder. She did not have black gloves but had on white silk ones. Bela's golden blonde hair, styled to perfection, let loose free falling down her back and a small part of it over her shoulders. She wore her typical dark shade of lipstick and also had some mascara over her eyes.

The real highlight was that she dawned around her neck not just her favourite red ruby chain, but the necklace with a locket that Anton had bestowed upon her that belonged to his mother.

And so, Bela continued to stare in the mirror deeply, smiling widely and bringing a gloved hand to cover her mouth agape.

Donna breaking Bela out of the moment, speaking softly and grinning ear to ear, "Are you ready for your big day?" To which the blonde woman looked at Donna and nodded and beamed happily.

The little wooden doll added a playful comment, "You look great Bells, but I know I'm stealing the show here with how great I look." The two women giggled at that heartily, to which Donna handed a gorgeous bouquet of bright red roses and positioned herself behind Bela picking up her dress train.

At that, the three left the room and entered two white wooden doors opened, brightly illuminating a large church hall, holding some people from the village including maidens that were presently working in the service of the castle.

The music played on an organ, played Bela's all time favourite music piece, Pachebel's Canon in D Minor, as Angie led into the hall with a small basket of red petals laying them on the bright red carpet leading towards where the ceremony would take place.

All present in the room stood up from their seats. Alcina stood at the front, a smile beaming across her face, while wiping clearly small tears from her yellow eye with a handkerchief, wearing her typical silk white low cut dress and wearing her massive hat. Bela's Uncle Salvatore Moreau stood, wearing his typical attire, dark cloth over his mutated form but behind his grotesque skin smiled happily at his niece's special day.

Then there was Bela's wedding party, her bridesmaids wearing the same red silk dresses as Donna wore. She had three of them plus her Aunt Donna, her maid of honor was her youngest sister, Daniela, then came Cassandra and finally Anton's sister, Lucille Raddu.

As she stepped towards the man to wed her, Anton Raddu, his blue eyes beaming with joy and excitement, a warm smile, looking so delicious and so handsome in his black tuxedo. His wedding party consisted of Heisenberg, his best man brandishing strange enough, his brown hat and dark sunglasses while wearing a black tuxedo. However Anton's party didn't consist of the same numbers as the eldest Dimitrescus.

The person to wed Anton and Bela was none other than Mother Miranda, wearing her typical black robe with white sash around her. She did not wear her beak shaped mask, but her smooth face, dark mascara around the eyes, and a white headband holding her long dark hair down her back behind her. Miranda smiled brightly at the approaching eldest Dimitrescu with Donna behind still holding onto Bela's dress. Miranda held a closed small brown book to her chest awaiting the blonde woman's final approach to her man.

Before approaching Anton, Bela turned to her mother, smiling so warmly and planting a small kiss on her mother's cheek, before turning around and walking and stopping before Mother Miranda and her man to be, Anton.

The moment the two lovely couple to be married went so well, between tears and such powerful and words of affection and love. Between the smiles and I do's, came finally Miranda's words to close the moment, speaking with such a smile, "I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss your bride."

To that, the eldest Raddu sibling could not commit himself to that act any faster, lifting the veil of his new wife, and the two placing both sets of hands on each other's cheeks. The kiss was so soft but passionate, momentarily, and the embrace that Anton and Bela shared, as it was truly the happiest moment of both their lives.

And the moments where the family laughed, smiled and cried during such a joyous moment. Both Anton and Bela embraced so many in the family taking in so many congratulations from across the Four Lords, the Dimitrescu sisters, Lucille and Mother Miranda. It was a dream come true. Even a moment where Bela and her brunette sister, Cassandra despite all the arguments were now hugging so tightly and crying into each other's arms, a special bond of sibling love.

At that, Bela's new husband moved away from the happy couple, walking towards the exit of the church, reaching near the door. Smiling widely, turned to his new wife, Bela and held out a hand urging the eldest Dimitrescu to come and join him into their future together.

The blonde woman looked around at all the family, all smiling and motioning Bela to join her new husband. To which the eldest Dimitrescu laughed heartily, grabbing her arms on her dress to lift it so not to trip on it, and started to jog towards Anton waiting for her.

Then the moment seemed to have gone into a slow motion blur, where by the time she reached the end of the church piew towards the exit, a massive explosion took place, sending Bela flying backwards from the shock of the effect. Absolute chaos ensued, to which screams of anguish came about, as flames engulfed much of the entrance, and the most horrifying sight took into Bela's terrified golden amber orbs. There was no sign of her new husband, Anton at all.

Instead, the buildings frames had all collapsed all over the floor, flames took over parts of the wooden planks, as Bela entered the horrifying scene to look anywhere for Anton, calling out while her wedding dress was heavily damaged and ripped in various spots, her face covered in soot, coughing from the smoke fumes.

"Anton….Anton….where are you? ANTON...SOMEONE HELP ME FIND ANTON."

Practically in hysterics and panicked to the core, that her man was now laying either badly injured or dead under the rubble.

Her next sight as she looked outside a blasted wall from the church, was absolutely shocking and terrifying, the sky was a bright orange as massive fires and smoke raged across the small village below. People were terrified, scattering and running away from a massive wave of soldiers, tanks, and airplanes. Explosions happening everywhere, the villagers were being gunned down, it was a scene of such carnage that Bela had never witnessed before, raising a gloved hand to cover her mouth, steady flow of terrified tears running down her face.

Then snapping her attention, was that familiar evil laugh so did not wish to hear or see ever again. The shadow figure formed behind her, as Bela's shaking body turned to face it and the scene unfolded all around her.

Wide yellow eyes scanning the gruesome scene, of all of Bela's family, her sisters, mother, uncles and aunt and niece along with Anton's sister and the other guests including Mother Miranda, all laying across the floor. Blood splattered across the entire floor and walls of the church, and everyone she ever cared about or loved, their throats were slit, trails of blood coming down towards their chests, with their terrified eyes still open, just staring at the mortified eldest Dimitrescu.

Then to make matters worse, the shadow figure produced Anton's body, his clothes were torn, his body bruised and bleeding from head to toe, held by the scruff of his torn dress shirt by the shadow figure.

To save the man, Bela charged at the shadow figure but was again shackled by smokey chains, gripping her legs and arms. Endless tears and screams coming from her mouth, "Stop it please..leave him alone..I love him….let him GO!! STOP!"

Again the shadow entity laughed out loud, before producing a sharp blade, and bringing it to the man's neck. The creature then glanced with a malicious grin at Bela, to which his eyes went from red, to a shade of blue, and with that ran the sharp blade across Anton's throat, watching blood ooze out of the man's severed windpipe, gurgling and choking, and dropping to the floor, his blue eyes still open.

The anguish and terror the blonde woman felt was beyond comprehension, she collapsed with her shaking form, the crying and sobs too hard to stop.

Then the shadow figure lunged, it's blue eyes targeting Bela with the knife, with nothing to defend herself….

--

A jump and shout of "NO!" was all that came from Bela, as she came out of the eerie and terrifying nightmare, snapping her sweaty head up to glance around while seated on the chair she seemed to have passed out on.

All that was in the room was Anton's resting form, not even moving a muscle since she administered her care to the man. And the ticking of the old grandfather clock towards the far end of the room.

The blonde Dimitrescu was drenched in sweat, bringing her palms up to rub her face, shaking and confused by what she had gone through with such an odd dream, her thoughts trailing….

What was that dream about? What is this shadow thing? Why is it always around me? And that bad dream...but it started so wonderfully...as if I'm destined to be with Anton forever….is it possible? I do care for the man a lot….but do I really feel...love for him?

Her yellow eyes returned to watch Anton's breathing, so peaceful and soothing the anxiety she felt in her body. After, Bela glanced at the clock at the far end, it was almost noon, and she felt her stomach start to rumble. Bela would take a break, since nothing major had happened with Anton or his condition, get something to eat, come back later.

With that, she got off the chair and proceeded back towards the man resting, leaning in to kiss his forehead with her dark lips and smiling. Then Bela quietly left the room.

She returned to her chambers, and freshened up for the day, removing her sweaty nightgown, and changing into her typical dark robed dress, but leaving the hood down. Bela then took a small brush and straightened her golden blonde hair, finally washing her face and leaving her room to find something to eat.

--

Coming down the stairs, Bela was bewildered by the lack of activity. Perhaps her mother had given much of the staff a day off in the castle, but seemed unlikely since there was always work to be done.

She had neither seen Lady Dimitrescu, Daniela, Lucille, Heisenberg or Cassandra, and felt a sense of dread, and fear like the bad dream was going to happen again.

But the hunger she felt was so great, and so Bela continued towards the pantry quickly, her heels echoing with her steps across the grand hall.

Finally reaching the kitchen, was surprised to see her middle sister, Cassandra sitting on a stool in front of a fair sized table, an empty plate covered in blood and chunks of meat and pieces of bone. Her face and parts of her dress were covered in the red fluid from the meal.

Then she turned as Bela entered into the kitchen, giving a somewhat serene smile and using what sounded like a fake attitude and tone, "Well hello sister sleepyhead. Did you rest well with your man thing? Did you snug so tight into his limp arms?"

The eldest Dimitrescu did not like how this was going, feeling anger boil inside but not wanting to play Cassandra's game, attempting to defeat her middle sibling with kindness instead.

"Ugh Cassandra, not when I've just woken up, yes I slept fine and so did Mr. Raddu, please be respectful."

Bela then quickly entered the kitchen, looking through various cupboards for anything to eat.

No sooner did Cassandra decide to let out an evil sounding giggle, while her face looked down at the empty plate, before stretching her robed arms into the air, and speaking with a playful tone, "Mmmm such a delicious and filling meal for the day. Oh dear Bela you should have joined me, that delicious hunter's blood and flesh was so divine. And I also got to finish half of that treacherous little bitch of a maid Elena, while the rest of her was squeezed into another of mother's favourite bottles."

Shuddering and almost feeling nauseated at the mention of the two attackers, but understanding that they needed to be dealt with, but Bela was in no mood to hear Cassandra's tales of torture and terror on how she made up the meals.

But before uttering another word, the brunette Dimitrescu continued with her playful tone, "As for the attacker that tried to kill you, I saved him on a good sized plate for our dear youngest sister, let her know when you see her, tell Dani to carry a good appetite for that hairy fat fuck of a man thing."

Cassandra then stood up from her stool before bringing the plate of scraps and discarding them into a garbage can, beside Bela. Then brought her yellow eyes before the elder sibling, continuing but carrying a small pout of her lips.

"Now I would have a plate made for you my dear sister, but unfortunately I could not find the young fool who tried to end our sweet sister Daniela. Whatever happened to that young man thing?"

The eldest Dimitrescu felt a true sense of fear and anxiety take over, as if an unseen hand gripped her throat, forcing her to spill the truth that in all the moments to having killed the young hunger, she opted for mercy and let him go, she had to try to use some sort of excuse to find her way out of it.

With a nervous but somewhat convincing tone, Bela spoke while looking Cassandra in her yellow eyes, "That's fine Cass, I'll find something to eat around here. As for that man thing, I threw his disgusting filthy man thing carcass into the cellar."

A click of the tongue from the brunette sister, clearly unconvinced and somehow knowing her eldest sibling to lie to her, "Is that so dear Bels? That's funny I brought down the two hunters and the swine of a traitor of a maid down there, before I came to see that man thing, Mr. Raddu in his sick form shaking like a frightened rabbit. I did not see any part or parts of that young man creature, are you sure you even ended his worthless life?"

As far as it was concerned, Bela had heard enough of the disrespect Cassandra was showing to Anton, and slammed a cupboard door hard, while frowning and speaking firm,

"Seriously Cassandra Dimitrescu. That man, Anton Raddu saved your damned life last night. Show some respect, he could have not done a damn fucking thing, and watched you perish, but he showed a lot of courage and came out and took on someone who was twice his size, Anton saved your ass, why can't you take a damn ego cheque, and let it go. What the hell is your problem?"

A loud laugh emanated from the middle Dimitrescu, as her head tilted back, then coming back but her face changing to that same angered expression she carried when she saw Bela provide the care to Anton,

"What's my problem? I don't recall asking for that damn man thing's help. I had that worthless idiot hunter right where I wanted him. A mere flaw and mistake, made him get a shot at me, but alas, I didn't die, I healed and I drank ohhh such sweet blood when I slit his throat good."

Shaking her head and crossing her arms, Bela interjected, "But he did save you Cassandra, those hunters were smart and knew what they were doing. He also saved me too. You know what, you claim yourself to be such a damn good hunter yourself. Well a good hunter uses their brain rather than their emotions. Accepts help and trusts those around. Otherwise, the hunter will always be the hunted."

The middle Dimitercsu was not in a mood for any games or lectures from her eldest sibling, and she frowned before speaking again in a harsh tone, "They don't stand a chance against me, I have dealt the pain that they deserved, and I for much satisfaction and pleasure I desired out of it. As for that young man hunter, whatever happened to him dear sister?"

Now Bela was feeling cornered and annoyed, stomped her foot down and said with gritted teeth, "He's gone Cass, that's all you need to know."

Choked with such angered emotions, Bela gave her sisters a nasty glare with daggered amber orbs, and went over to grab a plate, two older slabs of meat, a half a bottle of warm blood, and stormed out of the kitchen.

The middle Dimitrescu just gave another annoyed huff, before slamming her plate on the counter over another argument again, perhaps feeling slightly embarrassed with her temper getting the better of her.

--

After some time, huffing breaths of anger, Bela finally found her way to a small living room, where she angrily sat down in a lush chair by a table, and began to eat...alone.

For the most part, Bela ate the first slab of meat, which had a stale taste to it, but the remainder of the bottle went down nicely. Still the eerie mood and loneliness creeped into the quiet small dining room, not a sound of her sisters, mother, uncle, servants or even Lucille around.

Then a sense of heartache, all but ruined her meal. The blonde vampire could not finish her second piece of meat. Just with so much on her mind, Bela felt like her mind was going mad.

It was everything. From the horrible bad dreams, to the endless fights with hunters to her sister Cassandra, to now facing the ultimate reality that the man who had cared so much for her, may not live.

The fact that Bela had promised Anton's dear sweet sister, Lucille that he would be okay, or promised to her own mother that she would care for the eldest Raddu sibling in such a way to make the house proud of her.

Most importantly, promising herself that she could save Anton's life, because she wanted to see that man's desirable blue eyes glance into her yellow eyes once again. To share laughs and so many moments together. To be so happy.

No other man had ever looked at Bela in such a way or shown such passion and care...she did not want to lose that, she couldn't bear it.

But time was ticking, and the truth is Bela was feeling ever more guilty, she didn't know what to do anymore. She did not possess endless amounts of medicines or knowledge to make the infection go all away. She had already used up what she could to try to slow it, but as it went with the next steps, there were very few options indeed.

Bela could seek the Duke out to acquire more medicines, not in person but send a maiden or even mother to find him, but was there anything the merchant possessed to heal Anton completely?

A hospital trip to the large towns or cities was out of the question, there was nothing substantially sized within the distance that anyone in the castle could go, especially with the full winter weather upon the area. Nor could Bela or any of her sisters step outside or risk dying from the frigid air.

Reality was as cold as the winter outside, and the blonde Dimitrescu went into such despair with how the situation seemed so hopeless, and then Bela's anger took effect.

The blonde woman grabbed the empty bottle beside her plate, and tossed it against the wall with all her might, her golden amber orbs widened in embarrassment, as the empty bottle exploded and shattered into thousands of glass shards and even left a broken area of the wood frame.

Overcome with grief, she went from a light sob, to huffing harder ones and brought her gloved hands to her face. Tears welled and ran down as fast as a river stream down her face, ruining any of her makeup-covered eyes. The pain was just too much now, Bela had enough. She muttered to herself sobbing,

"I am….so sorry everyone...I am a true failure….I can't save anyone…..I didn't want any of this to happen….just wanted everyone to be happy….I am so sorry for it all."

At that moment, Bela heard soft steps behind her, to which she immediately turned her tear stained face away. Quickly wiping her eyes as to no unravel the scene that had just happened, a soft almost whisper of a voice beckoned behind,

"Lady Bela is everything alright?"

The blonde vampiric Dimitrescu, turned to face the concerned look of the maiden Fantine Ivanov. The girl was generally quiet and shy, and wasn't known to approach many of the Dimitrescu girls for fear of their wrath. A very slim bodied girl with long blonde hair, and very young just becoming nineteen years old, a runaway from her nasty life in Bulgaria, found solitude in the castle, becoming an adequate servant, at least until the treacherous maid Elena had stopped training her, during her secret meetings with the hunters, providing information on how to strike down the Dimitrescus.

Her workings had become greatly flawed and Fantine found herself in a position with her life in jeopardy if she did not greatly improve her duties. Bela had bought ample time from that moment to happen, and was quite kind to her. Teaching her how to read, especially the many books Bela had become an expert in, the two connected quite well and became good friends.

Finally turning to face Fantine with a smile, Bela spoke with a genuine smile but tried to hide the pain, "Yes Fantine, thank you. Sorry just sinuses, must be the dust in here getting to me."

Fantine did not look very convinced, before uttering a word, Bela interjected with a soft tone, "Is there something you need?"

The blonde haired servant cleared her throat before standing firm at attention, "The countess has asked me to find you, and when you have a moment to see her in her study. She is there with his lordship Mr. Heisenberg, my lady."

Bela nodded slowly, thoughts going towards just imagining the arguments, yelling and vulgarity between her mother and uncle in that room. She would leave there very soon, so as not to have a blood bath ensue from the two siblings.

Finally speaking, "Thank you Fantine. I will speak to my mother when I'm done here, you don't need to clean this up, I'll take care of it. You can carry on."

The servant turned to leave, then Bela realized she had to talk to her before any more issues had happened with Fantine's duties, finally piping up, "Fantine wait."

The blonde maid stopped in her tracks before turning to face Bela, standing as firm as a statue, a small bead of sweat ran down the young girl's temple, as if sensing danger because her mistakes had gone noticed, and what terrible fate would await her as punishment.

Bela slowly got up from the table, and approached Fantine slowly but didn't carry any anger to her face, just a soft but serious look, as was her tone,

"Listen Fantine, mother has noticed you have had some….troubles with your work."

Fantine nodded nervously before the blonde Dimitrescu continued, "You have gotten unfortunately sloppy and mistakes have happened. Now you do know mother, wants absolute perfection here, and I know Elena….did help you but she isn't with us anymore….we'll leave it at that."

Bela clasped her hands behind her back, continuing with a wide smile, "Listen to me Fantine, you will not be punished for all that's happened. In fact I'm going to assign you to partner with Rita. For the next couple of months, you will join alongside her and learn all you can from her. She will help you with everything. Learn well from her, my mother has given you a second chance, I don't want to see anything happen to you Fantine. I believe you can be a really good servant here, just don't let me down."

The blonde servant nearly jumped in the air, she and Bela both knew it was a very very rare thing to get a second chance to fix one's mistakes. Nodding rapidly with wide eyes, Fantine spoke with optimism, "I won't fail you my lady."

Bela, satisfied and believing Fantine, nodded with a smile, and spoke, "Thank you Fantine, you may go now."

With that, Fantine left the dining room quickly, determined to fix all the mistakes she had made.

The blonde Dimitrescu, satisfied with making someone's day, went back to the mess of glass all over the floor and tidied up with a large wet napkin. Then took her plate and went to the kitchen.

Once her tasks were complete, left to go and speak with her mother and uncle in Alcina's private study.

--

"No...no….no...no...you can't be serious to thinking we should fucking do that" barked an irate Karl Heisenberg, as he paced with angry brown eyes, across the massive den.

Alcina just sat in her massive chair beside her desk, smoking a cigarette from her holder, frowning at the large man also smoking a cigar.

A growl and scowl came across the pale face of Lady Dimitrescu, speaking very angrily, "Heisenberg! How many times have I told you to beware of such vulgarity in my home?"

Finally Heisenberg stopped pacing, and glared with a bewildered look while raising his voice, "Oh give it the hell up Alci, enough with your formal crap. But you seriously wanna include mother bitch here?"

Alcina snapped back, "Do not speak of Mother Miranda in such a tone. And as I said earlier it was a potential idea to speak to her and acquire assistance, you forget she knows more about dealing with such matters than any of us do."

It was nothing more than the absolute truth, Mother Miranda the priestess of the village and overall in charge of the Four Lords, knew and probably had more available in regards to helping Anton's recovery either speed up or become complete. But as to if she would help was a question itself, she didn't generally offer her services of aid to any common villager, but she did offer some services to the family when needed sometimes.

Alcina continued, taking a long puff and blowing a thin air of smoke from her ruby red lips, "Lest you forget Heisenberg, we are not a hospital, we do not have the resources to fully heal Mr. Raddu. I don't see any bright ideas out of your head."

The man stormed up to his sister, brown daggers glaring into her yellow ones looking slightly down at the massive form of the matriarch. Speaking with an intolerable tone shouting, "So we're just gonna pass off Anton with no absolute clue as to what Mother Miranda will do to him. She may kill that man for all we know. And what is that man to you anyways? You always hated men."

Alcina merely looked away whether it was that disgusting odour from her brother or some hidden motive, spoke in a softer tone, "Mr. Raddu is the Duke's assistant, his services have been most...adequate. Any other man would've been dealt with personally by me."

Heisenberg took a step back, his arms flailed open, a chuckle came out with a mocking tone, "Mr. Raddu? Services? Alcina, are you damned serious? While you have been living the luxurious lavish life in this damn castle, chopping maids and men whether meeting your dining room table or quenching your fucking throat. I have gotten to know not just him but his family over the years. They are a good group of people, well his parents sure were, before a day when something happened to them."

Curious yellow eyes glanced into the man's direction, speaking with a tone, "What happened to Mr. Raddu's parents?"

Heisenberg walked over to the window, glancing outside at the wondrous winter wonderland below, speaking in a neutral tone, "Anton and Lucille lost their parents when they were young. Some group of fucking murdering assholes tried to steal their family's land, and things got ugly. Those kids watched their mom and dad get shot by those mobsters."

Alcina's eyes widened almost as large as her large form, the realization of horror knowing that the man who saved her children, lost people so special and close to him. The pain that Anton and Lucille must have felt such despair.

Lady Dimitrescu could not bear to imagine life if the most recent attack or any other attack had succeeded ending the lives of her daughters, and could now not help but feel such sympathy for everything that Mr. Raddu and his sister were feeling. She was a mother first, and would always show that love and protection to all her children. And felt an even bigger sense of a debt to owe to save the man who protected those daughters with his life.

Before saying another word, Heisenberg continued, "Those kids are lucky to have each other, so much bullshit going on in this world, ya know something Alcina. I know we aren't really a family, but like an adopted one. To that, I love my nieces, your daughters very much. And I guess at times we argue so badly, but in the end I do care for you and this family. Cause it's the only one I have left, since my mother one is..out there...I just don't know."

Alcina was absolutely speechless, Heisenberg loved the family? Hesisenberg loved her like a sister? Where did all this come from? When did this start to happen? She had never seen such a sight, an emotional Heisenberg almost in tears.

The question plagued her mind at that moment, and came about almost a whisper, "Your other fami."

The man snapped back in her direction, interrupting her in mid sentence, an angry tone, "I'm fucking Jewish Alcina."

Although Alcina had very limited experience of people of that religion, she wasn't unaware of their existence, but did not know the reality of what it was like living as such a person.

Heisenberg continued, "And these days and in this world, it's not a good place for a Jewish person. I don't even know if any part of my family is alive...with what's been happening. So for christ's sake, I think we all should be all grateful towards having something when a shit load of those people don't have anything anymore."

Those words struck deep into the woman, her golden eyes narrowed towards the floor, Alcina wasn't a fool to know many who came to work in the castle came from families that didn't have a lot. She knew that the last war and now this war had taken so many lives and torn them apart, whether those killed or were about to be killed. And a part of her wished she had been more merciful to those around her. Part of Alcina did feel that way, thanks to her eldest daughter, Bela.

No sooner than that, both were interrupted by their entire train of thoughts and discussion, the door to Lady Dimitrescu's study was knocked on.

Alcina snapped out of it, with a quick shake of her head and piped up, "Please come in."

The door knob turned, and opened into the lavish room, where in strode the eldest Dimitrescu, clearly carrying both a look of being upset and concerned. Alcina could also scan and see what appeared to be tear stained marks on her daughter's pale face. Something had happened.

Before asking the million dollar question, Bela started with a soft voice, "You wished to see me mother?"

Alcina put her cigarette out and stood up her massive form towering in the study, looking at hear dearest with concerned eyes, "Yes my dove, any update on Mr. Raddu's condition?"

If only the news could be anything positive, but Bela's golden amber orbs narrowed to the floor for a moment before returning to look into her mothers. Speaking with a sombre tone, "There is unfortunately no change, he's been sleeping. There have been no convulsions or anything alarming. But he has still not awakened." It took everything to hold her emotions together, but the truth was Bela still felt her golden eyes begin to water, as if she would break into another tearful mess.

The matriarch's face took on a saddening look, before speaking, "Is there anything further we can do for Mr. Raddu my dear?"

To that, Bela just wanted to have that one ability, to give Anton his life back, even a part of her would love to exchange hers for his. But this was reality, and it was a painful one. Speaking while continuing to look towards the floor.

"I regret to inform you mother, I have exhausted all my resources and have nothing further I can provide Mr. Raddu. All we can do at this time is keep him comfortable, as I do not know…..if he will awaken."

Alcina just gave a sympathetic look towards the blonde woman, speaking in a soothing tone, "Let us hope something will change, I'm glad you have done all you can do my dear. Please keep me updated if anything changes."

Bela gave a small smile, before responding, as much as she tried she could no longer hold it in, and a small tear escaped her one eye down her cheek, while continuing to stare.

"I will do so mother."

And with that, she turned as quickly as she replied and left the room.

To that, Alcina quickly turned to face Heisenberg, "We must notify Mother Miranda, time is short, and you heard Bela. We don't have anything else we can do to save Mr. Raddu."

Heisenberg scoffed, speaking with a means of desperation, "We can put him in Lucille's truck and get him to a hospital somewhere, he can be saved dammit Alcina."

The towering form of the woman snapped at that, "In this weather. Heisenberg, are you a complete imbecile? How would Mr. Raddu stay warm? The weather is atrocious, and I doubt he'd make it in time to whatever town or city has the means to save him."

The man was still unconvinced, bringing in other ideas, "So you just wanna feed him to whatever Mother Miranda wants to do to him, the fact he just may die from whatever is planned. You can call me whatever the fuck you want Alcina, the fact is if he dies, are you willing to face your daughter as the idiot that took something so important away from her?"

Almost bewildered, somewhat suspecting but still little clue had responded with a shocking stare as Alcina spoke, "What do you mean?"

Heisenberg merely looked at the ceiling, laughing out loud, before looking back at Lady Dimitrescu, "Is your fucking head that damned big, as to almost not use the brain inside of it?"

The woman's face turned fifty shades of red, and she almost released the claws from her hands to slice Heisenberg to pieces for such insulting words.

But the man continued, "Alcina have you not noticed. Your daughter, my niece, Bela is head over heels for that man thing you like to call up in the guest room. Bela is in love with Anton."

As if the words could almost cause Alcina Dimitrescu to faint or her head explode, she merely had kept her ruby red lips wide open in shock. It was something she didn't expect ever for her eldest daughter to experience since the rule was men were forbidden around the Dimitrescus.

Alcina didn't know whether to save or end the man that had stolen her daughter's heart. Part of her was fuming with rage, but the other part was almost….pride?

She always wanted Bela to be happy, but never suspected it with any man. She just did not know what kind of future would develop between the two. But for all that Bela has done for Alcina, she knew she had to avoid leaving her daughter heartbroken. And no matter what or how Alcina felt about Anton, she would save the man.

By the time her thoughts were complete, Heisenberg merely looked at Alcina with a puzzled expression, finally huffing a sigh, walked and stepped out of the study, closing the door hard.

Alcina could only stare at the door for a few moments, before turning to look at the phone on her desk. Staring at it contently, before approaching it slowly, she picked up the receiver and spoke after a few moments.

"Mother Miranda, I hope I have no disturbed you. I must see you at my castle, there are some urgent matters that require your assistance."

Reich Main Security Office

Berlin, Nazi Germany

January 1, 1941

Rhythmic typing echoed across the outer office, blue eyes of a dark brown haired woman wearing a grey SS Auxiliary uniform as Major Klein's secretary tried to catch up on some paperwork and reports.

In between running her fingers over the typewriter, the young woman would gaze over at a man sitting and running his hands through a stack of papers, running a pen over, making notes and corrections, a cup of steaming hot coffee sitting on a small wooden table beside a large leather chair, sat Victor Raddu fully concentrated in his work. At the same time, the young man glanced back at his commanding officer's secretary, Traudl Braun, smiling and shaking his head while returning to read over his reports. Muttering to himself quietly, "Does she ever get her work done."

Despite his opinion, Victor did enjoy being around Traudl quite a bit, a sense of relaxation would come over him, to that feeling a sense of attraction as well.

However the other side of the office, the young woman, was quite a significant portion of more than attraction she felt to Victor. Traudl was completely in love practically with the young man. His features and personality made him a dream come true in her eyes. She also considered him a war hero of the Fatherland, with his impressive decorations attached to his tunic. She of course kept how she truly felt about the man to herself, as fraternizing with men in the SS on duty was forbidden.

At 24 years old, Trudl Braun was a very attractive curly brown haired young woman. Born into an aristocratic Prussian family, her father was a respected Waffen SS Colonel, who sadly was killed in action in France during the early campaign in the west in 1940. Her mother inherited a great amount of wealth from his passing, and carried on the life of being powerful and rich, with numerous friends in the highest echelon of the Nazi regime. Traudl had a younger brother who served in the German Navy, and presently was serving out at sea in a submarine in the Atlantic.

She had a very energetic and soft personality. Truly dedicated to work, and a stickler for organization, qualities that Major Klein was requiring and had hired the woman out of a small number of candidates thrown his way. What she did not know is that although Major Klein was married, he carried a secret attraction towards the secretary and tended to give her whatever time she wanted off, as well as provide gifts and other things that she may have lacked access to because of the war conditions. She merely brushed the attraction off as a simple working relationship, and never planned to report her boss to the higher ups.

Again, she stopped typing glancing in Victor's direction who was sipping his coffee, her blue eyes glaring in daydream mode, before speaking in a joyful tone,

"Did you have a pleasant evening herr Hauptsturmfuhrer?"

Victor merely glanced back in Traudl's direction, his deep blue eyes holding mirth but his tone merely casual, "Yes Traudl nothing special though, just read a little and went to bed, and Happy New Year as well, and how many times have I told you, please just call me Victor, did you have a good New Years eve as well?"

The woman giggled lightly, blushing slightly, but smiling brightly, "Oh sorry Victor, yes I had a pleasant evening of absolute boredom." Rolling her eyes, but continuing, "Mother had this need to invite I swear half the city for the party, ugh she had so much food prepared I swear it could feed half the Fatherland. Nothing but a bunch of people, drunk, laughing, and me choking in the house with fumes of smoke everywhere."

Victor, stopped writing his notes and stared longly at Traudl at that, before speaking softly with a chuckle, "Nothing to be embarrassed about Traudl, sounds like a much more fun filled night that what I had."

Traudl took a sip of her coffee on her desk, before glaring at Victor and speaking with a neutral tone, "I told you should have come to the party, the guests would have loved you there, and there was so much food."

Although Victor would have benefited from the invitation, enjoying great food and quality time with Traudl, from the other day, he declined because he was an astute working man, making little time for parties and gatherings. His attention was so completely focused lately that fortunately his commanding officer, Major Klein allowed, the Heisenberg case.

At that moment, silence enveloped between the two in the office, when all of a sudden the door swung open, and Major Klein walked in brandishing his grey leather coat, carrying a brown leather satchel.

Both Victor and Traudl jumped to their feet and raised their right arm in a Nazi salute, in unison speaking, "Hell Hitler."

The Major turned upon entry, while removing his gloves and swatting excess snow off his jacket. Smiling at the two, before a curve of his right hand and replying, "Heil Hitler. Ahh Happy New Year to you both. Victor, please come into my office, we have much to discuss."

At that, Victor gave a small smile and a wink to the brown haired woman, before turning to follow his commanding officer. He got a wink and flirty smile returned by the woman.

Once in the Major's office, the young Raddu sibling approached his commanding officer, before speaking in a soft tone, "Welcome back from Wewelsburg herr Sturmbannführer, I take it all went well on your trip. You feel refreshed?"

Major Klein turned to Victor, having removed his coat and hat and hanging them on the large wooden coat rack beside his large desk, then went to his desk opening his satchel and pulling out some papers. Speaking in a soft tone but not facing the young Raddu sibling

"Oh yes, the business conducted and spoken about was quite….informative. I have news, but before that please let us discuss the Heisenberg case."

Victor then placed a couple of pages of reports and summaries on the Major's desk, speaking with some optimism, "We have arrested a fair number of people in the family and their friends. I regret to inform you however there are some that have eluded us or reside in different areas outside of the Reich's territories. Most importantly we have yet to find the Uncle himself."

Major Klein went through the reports carefully, placing a set of steel rimmed glasses on. After a few moments turned to face the young Raddu sibling, who had a look that he was bracing for his commander to berate him. Instead a shocking response came forth.

Major Klein huffed a slow sigh, before speaking in a soft neutral tone, "Victor my lad, please proceed to that cabinet and pour two glasses of the brandy."

Victor's blue eyes widened at that, he wasn't a heavy drinker and it wasn't something that he usually would take into doing especially on duty, but as it was his commanding officer's request and might ease whatever tension was felt in the room, walked over to a a small wooden cabinet, opened the door and pulled out a fair sized bottle of brandy pouring a quarter of an amount into two large oval shaped glasses.

The young Raddu sibling took both glasses and approached Major Klein and handed one, keeping one for himself. Looking down at the glass for a few moments and watching the Major down the amount quickly, to which he made a scrunched face at the bitter taste of the beverage.

Finally, Victor relented and did the same with much of the similar reaction. Both men finally placed their glasses on Major Klein's desk.

Major Klein then sat on the edge of his desk, his hands going into his trouser pocket and pulling out a small pack of cigarettes, lighting one and blowing a line of air, finally speaking with a slow tone, "You have done well Victor, don't punish yourself. You did bring in your aunt and her Jewish man. As a matter of fact, what did fraulein Stahler decide to do with our offer?"

Victor's eyes narrowed, his voice showing some form of anger and resentment, even a hint of sadness, "I regret herr Sturmbannführer, my aunt wasn't interested in taking up with our offer. At present, awaiting transportation and deportation to a labour camp."

Another puff of his cigarette, Klein spoke again, "As far as matters go, we will deal with sending the Jew herr Heisenberg out, but as far as your aunt goes. I want the order for Ludmilla Stahler's transfer to be rescinded. In fact, we will release her from Plotzensee Prison.

Victor's eyes widened huge at that instruction, he had just dealt with all the organizing of the raid on his aunts wedding and arrested all in attendance. Why was the woman being let go, although generally the blue eyed Raddu generally avoided asking to many questions when giving an order,

Still asked in a light concerned tone, "Herr Sturmbannfuhrer? Would that be advisable? And at your orders when?"

Major Klein finished smoking, blew a line of air, and responded with a smile, "It is my orders, I wish it done today at the earliest convenience."

A click of Victor's heeled black boots, snapping at attention, surprised but compliant, "As ordered herr Sturmbannführer."

The Major then walked towards the window, his view across the streets of the large city street, speaking in a small tone, "As for my reasoning for her release, I feel we need to find more of her potential accomplices, the ones that have eluded us. We will release her and have her closely monitored and followed by our best people to see where she will lead us to."

Victor then understood, nodding slowly, close surveillance on Aunt Ludmilla and bringing in more people and finally reaching the goal of shutting down this group aimed at smuggling Jews out of the Reich's territories.

Major Klein turned to face the youngest Raddu sibling, sighing but speaking with a content tone, "Do we have any leads as to who might help her or where fraulein Stahler might go?"

Deep blue eyes focused lately on that, Victor did have some idea but not a full amount, but spoke with his best honestly, he desired nothing more than to catch more of these people whether Jews or associated in some way with them.

"I regret to report, we do not have much to work with in terms of leads to Herr Sturmbannfuhrer."

Klein, as clearly unconvinced, spoke again with a frown, "But I want your opinion Victor, I want you to give me your gut instinct."

Victor huffed a sigh, but attempted his best idea output, "As our borders are closely watched, and her passport confiscated. It is unlikely she would attempt to leave the country if we returned it. Likely my Aunt will leave the document behind and attempt to find some contact. Acquire forged documents and papers. And then leave Germany."

A smile slowly creeped the Major, his hand motioned, "Continue Hauptsturmführer."

In doing so, Victor obliged, "As far as where she might go, the Heisenberg family as to the ones that have eluded us, it's a possibility but I can see my aunt highly likely, as she was my mother's sister, might proceed to Romania and try to reach with some of the family."

The smile widened on Klein's face, "And you are from Romania originally, do you feel that anyone in your family, perhaps your…brother or sister may get involved in protecting an enemy of the state?"

A shiver down the young man's spine, but a focused look overtook him, no reservations about loyalty, "I will do my duty although unlikely my siblings may interfere or protect an enemy of the Reich. And if they do, I will fulfill my obligations to ensure our enemies of the Fuhrer are dealt with swiftly."

Major Klein nodded at that, finally satisfied at the answer, "They are family of yours my dear Victor. I believe they will make the right choice. Continue to work on the Heisenberg case as well as your monitoring of Ludmilla Stahler, where she goes and who she talks to. We will tighten the noose around her and her constituents soon enough."

Nodding and accepting his orders, "As ordered herr Sturmbannführer."

Major Klein then proceeded back to the cabinet, pouring another glass of the alcoholic drink into his glass. Victor merely stared with his blue eyes, he thought that Major Klein would've had more to drink from his trip to Wewelsburg especially on New Year's evening. Clearly was going to bring something up, as the youngest Raddu sibling waited.

Finally after a few moments of silence, Klein started while smelling his glass of the bitter brownish liquid, "But don't get too comfortable with these matters, I have returned with urgent meetings with both Reichsführer Himmler and Obergruppenführer Heydrich in attendance."

Nodding and smiling, Major Klein continued, "His recent meeting with the Fuhrer, where Reichsfuhrer Himmler told us that the Fuhrer has lost interest in invading and dealing with England. That since last year's victory over France, the Russians were marched into your home land too close to the Reich's main resource, the oil fields of Ploesti."

Continuing, "Feeling obliged to stop the Slavs and Stalin from entering into Europe any further. As well as securing further living space for our people, we shall undertake a most important operation against the Soviet Union soon. Perhaps Churchill and England will see the war as pointless, and see us fight against a common enemy, of communism, relent and allow us to be."

Nodding with strong enthusiasm, although Victor knew that the war against Russia would be probably long, he was delighted and also knew his war against the Jews would take on a whole new meaning.

Klein went on, "We will be required to commit to our fullest of duties, the army will advance, and we will commit to security cleansing operations behind the front. With so many Jews, we will work together with special operations units, the Reichsfuhrer called them, Einsatzgruppen. Within time, we will help our Fuhrer go from establishing a perfected and purified Europe, to eventually a purified world."

Finally, Victor beamed in pride as his ultimate plan was about to come to fruition, revenge against the Jews and specifically the whole Boshevik Jewish empire as a whole.

His thoughts running deep…

Finally my time has come….

Authors Notes:

-Finnnnnaaaaalllly another chapter done, lol between work, computer crashing and being replaced, and how many times I chose to erase, rewrite, erase, rewrite….finally done…

-As odd as you may read and feel, a nice side to our RE 8 villains, I opted for something of that, even Mother Miranda will be a little more calmer and tame, remember she was a desperate mother just wanting to resurrect her dead child through extreme methods but what else was a mother to do, to that will see the horrors of war and feel a sense to be calm and more family oriented.

-Belas hallucinations will get scarier and darker the more the chapter continues, there is a hidden message towards what the shadow figure is or represents…that will come soon.

-Ludmilla will be on the run from the Nazis, and chased but will Victor catch her??And more importantly what will he do with her??

-Because Victor will definitely get darker before lighter soon…

-Again many many thanks for the reads, subs and comments, I'll produce more soon enough.
