Hello, everypony! Welcome to chapter 22 of "The Day I Went to Equestria". In this chapter, I'm going to introduce characters from Norse Mythology as well as vikings and shield maidens. Also, characters from different shows and movies are going to make an appearance as well. Enough said. Enjoy! Disclaimer: I DO NOT own "MLP: FIM". I only own Kaleb.
Chapter 22: Rise of the Norse
One day, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo were playing with a beach ball. They were playing catch with it. Applebloom threw it to Sweetie Belle. She turned to Scootaloo.
"Hey, Scootaloo!" She said.
The orange filly turned to her friend.
"Yeah?"
"Heads up!"
With one good throw, Sweetie Belle threw the ball to her friend and the ball flew towards her at a really fast pace. Scootaloo tried to catch it, but it flew over her. The kids watched as the ball flew into the Everfree Forest. The gasped and ran to the forest. When they got near it, they stopped in their tracks. They looked at each other, then at the forest again.
"No two ways about it, one of us is going to have to go in and get it." Applebloom said.
The two fillie's eyes widened.
"What?!"
"Look, girls; I know the Everfree Forest can be scary at times, but if we're lucky, maybe we can ask Zecora to help us find it. Plus, thanks to Kaleb, we already made peace with the timberwolves. So maybe we can ask one of them to find it for us."
Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle looked at each other.
"So, who's gonna go in the Everfree Forest? We can't just leave our beach ball in there." Applebloom said.
Scootaloo got a serious look and turned to her friend.
"I will. I'll go get our ball back. For two reasons; one, I'll help my friends no matter what, and two, I wanna show Rainbow Dash that I can be brave. I don't wanna be a scared little filly anymore. I wanna be a brave pony just like Rainbow Dash!" She told her.
Applebloom and Sweetie Belle were surprised. They never saw their friend act like this before. A long time ago, she was afraid of everything and here she was wanting to be brave. With that, Scootaloo started walking towards the forest. Sweetie Belle put a hoof on her shoulder and she turned to her.
"Are you sure you want to do this, Scootaloo?" Sweetie Belle asked.
Scootaloo nodded with determination.
"Positive." She said.
She turned back to the forest and started walking again. She glanced at her friends.
"Wish me luck."
"Good luck, Scootaloo." Applebloom and Sweetie Belle said in unison.
Scootaloo walked into the woods. She walked until her friends were out of sight. She walked further and further into the Everfree Forest. She checked most of the trees and most of the bushes, but had no luck finding the beach ball. She sighed in defeat and sat down to think.
"Now if I were a beach ball and I somehow ended up in the Everfree Forest, where exactly would I be?" She thought.
Just then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a little bit of color in the grass. She walked towards it. She looked through the grass and to her surprise and relief, she had found the beach ball.
"Aha! There you are."
But just when she picked it up, she looked down and saw three pairs of feet. She slowly looked up and saw three figures looking down at her. When she saw them, he jaw dropped in surprise.
"Oh... My..."
Meanwhile, outside the forest, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle were still waiting for their friend.
"How long has she been in there?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"I don't know." Said Applebloom.
They called Scootaloo's name, but there was no answer. They tried again. No answer.
"Applebloom. I think we should go get help just in case."
"I believe you're right, Sweetie Belle."
The two fillies ran off to go find some help. At Sweet Apple Acres, Kaleb and Rainbow Dash were helping Applejack and Big Macintosh with their chores. Rainbow and Big Mac got the bushels while Kaleb and Applejack kicked the trees, causing the apples to fall. Kaleb kicked one tree with a hard karate kick.
"Hiya! Roadhouse!" He cried.
"I've noticed you've been saying that everytime you kicked a tree." Applejack said, "What does it mean?"
"It doesn't necessarily mean anything, AJ. It's just a random phrase I like to use. I got it from... somewhere." Said Kaleb.
Rainbow and Big Mac walked towards them.
"I gotta say, Kaleb, you can kick like a champ." Big Mac said.
"Yeah." Said Rainbow, "I bet you could be good enough for Ponyville's weather team."
"Weather team?"
Rainbow nodded.
"Uh-huh. The weather team is a team of pegasi that help change the weather in Equestria. Whether it would be snowing, raining, you name it. I used to work with them." She said.
"Huh. Sounds cool."
"It wasn't easy, but it was still cool."
They then heard hoofsteps coming towards them. They turned to see the scared faces of Applebloom and Sweetie Belle. Once they got close, they stopped to catch their breath.
"Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, what's the matter?" Applejack asked, concerned.
"We were playing catch with our beach ball. I threw it to Scootaloo, but it ended up missing her and flew into the Everfree Forest." Applebloom replied.
The older pony's eyes widened and she gasped.
"The Everfree Forest?! Why in Equestria were you playing near there?!"
"We didn't know we were near there! Honest!"
Kaleb stepped in.
"It's okay, Applebloom. We believe you. Now what happened after that?" He asked.
"Well, out of all three of us, Scootaloo decided that she should be the one to go and get it because she wanted to be brave like Rainbow Dash. And we haven't seen her since." Said Sweetie Belle.
Kaleb and Rainbow looked at each other with serious looks and nodded.
"No doubt about it. Scootaloo may need our help. If we don't do something, she could be lost in the forest for days." Kaleb said.
"You're right, Kaleb. We've gotta find Scootaloo and make sure she's alright." Said Rainbow.
"We wanna help too." Said Sweetie Belle.
The duo turned to the the two fillies.
"Scootaloo is our best friend and we want to find her just as much." Applebloom said.
Kaleb and Rainbow looked at each other and nodded again.
"Okay, you can help." Kaleb said, "But stay with us at all times. Got it?"
"Got it." The two fillies said in unison.
A while later, the four friends were at the Everfree Forest. Kaleb and Rainbow looked at each other and nodded. They looked at Applebloom and Sweetie Belle and they nodded as well. And with that, they went into the woods. They searched and searched and searched. They checked most of the bushes and trees, but no luck. They tried calling their friend's name, but there was no answer. Little did they know, they were being watched.
sigh* "We're never gonna find Scootaloo in this mess." Applebloom said as she sighed in defeat.
"Just stay positive. She's gotta be around here somewhere." Said Kaleb.
"Kaleb's right. We can't lose hope just yet." Said Rainbow.
Suddenly, they heard a voice.
"Maybe we can be of assistance."
They looked around to see who said it. Kaleb then sniffed around and he caught multiple scents. When he did, what surprised him was that these scents were... human.
"Humans." Kaleb said.
"What?"
There walking out of the darkness, were multiple men and women wearing armor. Leading them were two men and one woman with an eye patch where her left eye should be. Applebloom and Sweetie Belle got behind their two friends who got in defensive positions, ready to fight if they needed to.
"Who the heck are you?" Rainbow asked.
"Do not be alarmed." Said the woman, "We mean you no harm. We just want to talk to you."
Kaleb and Rainbow got out of their defensive positions, knowing that these people meant well.
"What are your names?" Kaleb asked.
"My name is Tomoko. Daughter of Odin." Said the woman.
One of the men spoke next.
"My name is Alfastan." He said.
The other man spoke as well.
"And my name is King Ragnar Lothbrok. What is this land and can we settle here?" He asked.
"You're in the land of Equestria." Rainbow said, "Why do you want to settle here?"
"We want to settle here because we need new farmlands because it's too cold to farm in Norway and we don't trust King Ecgberht because he lied about letting us farm in peace." Said Ragnar.
Kaleb and the two fillies instantly felt bad for Ragnar and his people but Rainbow still felt suspicious.
"We are really sorry that happened to you, sir. I live on a farm and one time, we almost lost it. The hearts of the Apple Family go out to you." Applebloom said.
Ragnar then patted the child's head.
"That's really nice of you, young one." He said.
"Um, King Ragnar?" Said Sweetie Belle.
"Yes, young one?"
"We came into this forest looking for our friend Scootaloo. Do you know where she is?"
Ragnar looked at Alfastan and Tomoko who nodded.
"As a matter of fact, we do. She is safe with us." Ragnar said, "We also took her down to the beach to show her the longships that we sailed on. Follow us. We shall take you to her. She will be in the forward camp of the vikings."
Applebloom and Sweetie Belle said "Oooooh." Kaleb turned to Rainbow.
"I don't see any reason why we can't go there. Scootaloo's safe, that's all that matters." He said.
"But Kaleb, we hardly know anything about these people. How do we know they're not here to kill us?" Rainbow asked, skeptically.
"Trust me, Rainbow, if these people were trouble, I would've smelled it. Now are you coming or not?"
Rainbow, not wanting to argue, sighed in defeat.
"Fine."
And with that, they followed the new people who were leading them back to their camp. A few minutes later, they arrived at the camp. When Kaleb and his friends saw it, they were awestruck. There were tents everywhere. And from the distance, they could see Scootaloo talking to another man. Ragnar smiled.
"It seems that the pony we found, Scootaloo as you call her, has bonded well with my son, Bjorn. You can go to her." He said.
Kaleb and his friends started walking to where their friend and the man called Bjorn were talking. Applebloom and Sweetie Belle called her name.
"Scootaloo!"
Scootaloo turned and saw her friends running towards her. Her face was full of joy.
"Girls!"
The filly ran to her friends. As soon as they got close, they pulled each other into a hug.
"We were so worried about you." Applebloom said.
"Scootaloo, are you okay?" Rainbow asked, concerned.
Scootaloo nodded.
"I'm fine, Rainbow Dash. The vikings and shield maidens here are really nice people. Even the Gods that they worship are generous. Well, most of them. The most evilest of the Gods is someone named Loki. He's the trickster God and the Norse God of Mischief. But other than that, everything is good here." She said.
Scootaloo heard a voice behind her.
"Ah. Are these your friends, Scootaloo?" It asked.
They five friends turned to see a tall blue-eyed man wearing armor.
"They sure are, Bjorn." Said Scootaloo.
Bjorn looked at them.
"Greetings. I am Bjorn Ironside; son of King Ragnar Lothbrok." He said.
Kaleb and Bjorn shook hands.
"It's nice to meet you, Bjorn." Kaleb said, "My name is Kaleb Clouse and these are Rainbow Dash, Applebloom, and Sweetie Belle. I believe Scootaloo has told you about us."
Bjorn nodded.
"She did indeed. Especially about you. She told all of us about you. We've all heard the tale of the legendary half man half wolf person named Kaleb who can talk to timberwolves. And this isn't the first time. Yui, Tomoko, and my father told us about you." He said.
"Really?"
"That's right."
Sweetie Belle spoke up.
"Bjorn?"
"Yes, young one?"
"You have such a nice and huge camp here. What sort of things do you have here?" The filly asked.
"We have all sorts of things here, young one. There's even other people here that aren't vikings or shield maidens. We have longships, a mead hall, and a lot of tents." Said Bjorn.
Kaleb and his friends said "Oooooh."
"You think you can show us around, Bjorn?" Kaleb asked.
Bjorn laughed a little.
"Of course I can. The more you get to know us, the more you'll get used to us and this place." He said.
Kaleb turned to Rainbow.
"What do you think, Dash? Should we?"
Rainbow thought about it for a second.
"Eh, I guess it can't hurt." She said.
"Well, now that that's settled, let's take a look around." Said Bjorn.
They were about to go when Scootaloo spoke up.
"What about us? Can we take a look around too? I'm sure my friends would like to see the rest of this place." She said.
"Maybe tomorrow, young one. You can tell your friends and describe what you have seen here. Is that fair enough?" Asked Bjorn.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders looked at each other and then back at the man.
"Eh, I guess so." Said Scootaloo.
Bjorn nodded and turned to walk forward with Kaleb and Rainbow following. Once they were gone, the kids looked at each other again.
"Well, what should we do now?" Sweetie Belle asked.
Scootaloo thought about it for a minute, then got an idea.
"I've got an idea." She said, "Let's go talk to Yui. She and I have been talking and playing catch with the beach ball. I'm sure she'll wanna talk to my friends too. Follow me."
The pegasus filly began walking with her friends following. Soon they saw a girl with black hair and an eye patch where her right eye should be. She was throwing the beach ball up in the air and catching it.
"Hey, Yui!" Scootaloo called.
Yui turned to see her friend and smiled.
"Hello, Scootaloo. How are you?"
"I'm doing well. How about yourself?"
"I'm doing well too."
Yui saw Scootaloo's friends.
"Oh, hello. You must be Scootaloo's friends. What are your names?" Yui asked.
"I'm Applebloom and this is Sweetie Belle. And with Scootaloo as our friend, we are The Cutie Mark Crusaders!" Said Applebloom.
Yui chuckled.
"I know. Scootaloo's told me about you. Is it true that you help other ponies get their cutie marks?"
The three fillies nodded.
"Yep." They said in unison.
"My name is Yui; daughter of Odin." Yui introduced.
"That's what the other woman said." Applebloom said, "What was her name... it started with a T."
"Tomoko?"
"Yeah, that's right! Tomoko. You got it."
"Wait a minute. You know Tomoko?" Asked Scootaloo.
"Know her? She's my sister. My twin sister." Said Yui.
The CMC's eyes widened.
"You're twins?!" They asked in unison.
Yui laughed a little.
"That's right."
"Wow. That's actually... Amazing!" Said Sweetie Belle.
"You think so?"
"Yeah."
"Just curious, since you're twins, how can your father tell you apart?" Applebloom asked.
"That's easy." Yui said, "He can tell us apart because of our eye patches. For example, Tomoko has an eye patch on her left eye and I have an eye patch on my right eye. See?"
"Oh. Alright."
"Yui, can I ask you a question?" Scootaloo asked.
"Sure, Scootaloo. Anything."
"Well... I was wondering... if you could... teach me how to defend myself."
"Teach you how to defend yourself?" Asked Yui.
Scootaloo nodded.
"Yeah. If I'm gonna be brave like Rainbow Dash, I gotta know how to defend myself in a tough situation." She said.
Yui thought about it for minute, then snapped her fingers.
"I believe I can do that." She said.
We cut to Bjorn who was showing Kaleb and Rainbow around the camp.
"As you can see, we have a lot of tents around here." He said as he gestured to the tents.
"Wow." Said Kaleb.
Bjorn then showed them a large building. He opened the door and the duo saw a lot of vikings and shield maidens either drinking or playing Orlog.
"This is our mead hall. This is where we either drink or play Orlog."
"Oh. My. Gosh." Said Rainbow.
"What's Orlog?" Asked Kaleb.
Bjorn then described what Orlog is and how it's played. The more Kaleb listened, the more interested he became. Rainbow however, was still wary. Bjorn closed the door and gestured to them to follow him. The duo did so.
"There's like a shitload of people here." Rainbow whispered to Kaleb.
"I know, but they sure are interesting." Kaleb whispered back.
The man took them to another place in the camp which happened to be a shooting range. When Kaleb saw the people shooting, he could've sworn he had seen them before. Bjorn called to them.
"Hey!"
The people turned and Kaleb instantly recognized them.
"Woah! Are you..."
"Kaleb Clouse, Rainbow Dash, I would like to introduce you to the Raccoon City survivors." Bjorn said, "The first one I want to introduce you to is their leader, Chris Redfield."
The man called Chris Redfield shook Kaleb's hand.
"Hey."
"Hey."
"I can't believe it. These are people from the Resident Evil games. How did they get here?" Kaleb thought.
"I'm Chris Redfield. And these are my sister and friends." Chris said, "This is my sister, Claire."
"Hi." Said Claire.
"This is my dearest friend, Jill Valentine."
"Hey." Said Jill.
"This is Ada Wong."
"Hello." Said Ada.
"This guy right here is Carlos Oliveira. He's the man who helped Jill in Raccoon City."
"How do you do." Said Carlos who shook Kaleb's hand.
"This is my sister's boyfriend, Steve Burnside."
"How's it going?" Said Steve.
"This is former Raccoon City police officer Marvin Branagh."
"How's it going, man." Said Marvin who also shook Kaleb's hand.
"Cool."
Kaleb looked at the last man.
"And you are..."
"Leon S. Kennedy. I am also a former Raccoon City police officer." Said the man.
Kaleb then noticed another man. This man was wearing riot gear and a mask.
"What's your name?" Rainbow asked.
"My name is HUNK. I am Grim Reaper, Doctor Death. I don't care what you call me. As long as I can get stuff done for Umbrella. But if you get in my way, I won't hesitate to kill you." Said the man.
Rainbow had a scared look and tapped Kaleb's shoulder.
"Remind me not to get on his bad side." She said.
"So... How did you get here anyway?" Kaleb asked.
"I was brought here to save Equestria from evil apparently." HUNK said, "I was brought here from Umbrella's secret laboratory. I was teleported here and I'm looking for a way back. Do you know how I can get back to my original place?"
Kaleb and Rainbow shook their heads.
"Unfortunately, no. We don't." Said Rainbow.
"Even I don't know how to get back to my world." Said Kaleb.
Rainbow looked at the others.
"What about you? Did you get to Equestria the same way?" She asked them.
Ada nodded.
"Actually, yes we did." She said, "You see, I was working in one of the secret laboratories of Umbrella where I found out Wesker and some of his lackeys were working on an interdimensional portal to other worlds and universes. While I was looking at it, HUNK came bursting in with Chris and the others. Chris said that a lot of zombies and MO3 Cerberus dogs were coming. So without hesitation, I used the remote control to the portal to open it. When I did, we saw this place. We looked at each other and nodded and we jumped through the portal. After that, I used the same remote to close it and the rest is history."
"And no zombies got through the portal?" Kaleb asked.
The group shook their heads.
"Not that we know of." Said Leon.
Suddenly, they heard moaning. They looked around for the source of the sound. Rainbow heard it behind her and turned around. She screamed causing the group to turn to her.
"What is it, Dash!" Kaleb asked.
"Look!" Cried Rainbow.
They all looked to where she was pointing and what they saw shocked them. It looked like a man, but it had pale skin and some of its flesh was missing. Before it could advance further, HUNK ran up behind it and snapped its neck causing it to fall. When it did, HUNK stomped on its head, killing it instantly. Blood splattered on the grass. Rainbow cringed.
"I take it that was a zombie?" She asked.
HUNK nodded.
"As a matter of fact, it was." He said.
"O...kay. Hey, Bjorn. Do you think you can show us more?" Kaleb asked.
"I most certainly can. I can show you the longships." Said Bjorn.
"Sounds like fun." Said Rainbow, "Anything to get my mind off of that zombie."
Kaleb turned to the others.
"Well, Chris, it was nice meeting you all. Let's talk again soon." He said.
Chris chuckled.
"Sounds like a plan to me, kid." He said.
And with that, Kaleb and Rainbow followed Bjorn. A few minutes later, while they were walking, Rainbow spoke.
"Hey, Bjorn. Is there anyone else here other than humans?" She asked.
"There sure is, Rainbow Dash. For example, there's a panda named Po who is also called The Dragon Warrior, is here with his friends The Furious Five and his master Shifu training." Bjorn replied.
Kaleb and Rainbow's eyes widened in shock.
"Wait wait wait. Hold the phone. Did you say a panda?" Kaleb asked.
Bjorn nodded.
"I did."
"So, if Po is an animal, that must mean The Furious Five and Shifu are..."
"That's right. They are animals as well."
Bjorn looked to his right and pointed forward.
"That's them right there." He said.
Kaleb and Rainbow were beyond surprised at what they saw; they saw a panda along with a red panda, a snake, a monkey, a mantis, a crane, and a tiger fighting together.
"So... Po is the panda?" Kaleb asked.
"Just like I said." Bjorn said, "The small red panda is Master Shifu. And those other mammals are The Furious Five. Their leader is a female tiger named Tigress. The others are a monkey called Monkey, a viper called Viper, a crane called Crane, and a mantis called Mantis. They are masters of Kung Fu from China. We stopped by China before we found Equestria to tell them that there were other people around the world who needed their help. Knowing that, they agreed to join us on our voyage. They've been here ever since."
"From what you're telling us, they sound like awesome people." Rainbow said.
Bjorn turned to Kaleb.
"Do you want to go over and talk to them?" He asked.
Kaleb shook his head.
"No. As much as I want to, I don't think it would be appropriate to interrupt their practice. Maybe some other time." He said.
"Yeah. Weren't you gonna show us the longships?" Asked Rainbow.
Bjorn laughed.
"You're right. How could I forget? Follow me." He said.
As the trio turned and walked away, Bjorn glanced at Kaleb.
"I need to warn you though, Po is kind of... how should I put this... a big eater." He said.
Kaleb laughed.
"Well, he's not the only one. I don't mean to brag, but I'm a big eater too!" He said as he raised his hand.
Bjorn chuckled.
"Then I believe you and him will get along swell."
"That's what I was thinkin' too." Rainbow whispered.
A while later, the trio were at the beach. Kaleb and Rainbow's jaws dropped to the ground at what they saw. They saw several large ships docked at the edge of the beach. The ships weren't just huge, they were gigantic!
"Holy crap!" Kaleb and Rainbow said in unison.
"I know. They're huge aren't they?" Asked Bjorn.
"Yeah." Rainbow said, "Are you sure these things are ships, because they are HUGE!"
Bjorn laughed.
"I can assure you, Ms. Dash, these are ships. These are the longships we sailed on to find this land. And thank the Gods we did. Us vikings and shield maidens have been through a lot in order to find a good land. We have suffered many hardships including death. Some of us didn't think we would find a new land. Until we found this place." He said.
"I can't believe it." Rainbow thought, "They suffered hardships including death to find a new land. I can only imagine what they went through. I feel bad for them now."
Suddenly, they heard a voice.
"Hey, Bjorn."
They turned to see a man wearing a black cloak, a woman wearing a red and white suit, and a little girl wearing a pink dress. Bjorn smiled.
"Ah, Kirito. Nice to see you and your family." He said.
He looked at the woman and child.
"Hello, Asuna. Hello, Yui."
"Hello, Bjorn. How's it going?" Asked Asuna.
"I'm doing well."
He turned to Kaleb and Rainbow.
"I would like for you to meet our new friends." He said, "Kirito, Asuna, Yui, I would like for you to meet Kaleb Clouse and Rainbow Dash."
The boy and the pegasus looked at the three people. Kirito walked over to Kaleb. He held out his hand for him to shake. They shook hands.
"It's nice to meet you, Kaleb. My name is Kazuto Kirigaya. But you can call me Kirito. Everyone does." Kirito said.
"I can't believe it. I'm actually meeting Kirito, Asuna, and Yui from Sword Art Online. One of my all-time favorite animes!" Kaleb thought.
Kirito then gestured to the woman and little girl.
"And this is my wife and daughter, Asuna and Yui."
Asuna and Yui (SAO) waved.
"Hey there." Asuna said.
"It's nice to meet new people." Said Yui (SAO).
Rainbow flew towards them.
"Hello. My name's Rainbow Dash." She introduced.
"It's nice to meet you, Rainbow Dash."
Asuna looked down at Yui (SAO).
"Say hi, Yui."
The girl then held out her hand for Rainbow to shake.
"It's nice to meet you, Ms. Dash." She said.
The pegasus shook the child's hand.
"Ya know what, Asuna. You have a really sweet kid." She said, happily.
Kaleb could only smile as he saw his friend talking to new people. He felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to Bjorn.
"Aren't you coming?" Bjorn asked.
"To do what?"
"To meet our Gods of course!"
Kaleb got an excited look.
"No way. You mean THE Norse Gods? The ACTUAL Norse Gods?!" He asked.
"That's right, my friend! You will be meeting the Gods who helped us in our times of need." Said Bjorn.
Kaleb looked at Rainbow and cupped his hand over his mouth.
"Hey, Rainbow!" He called.
Rainbow stopped talking to Asuna and Yui (SAO) and turned to Kaleb.
"Yeah?"
"Bjorn is gonna take me to see the Norse Gods. You want to come with us?"
"Hmm. Maybe later." Rainbow said, "Right now, I've got to tell my new friends all about me."
Kaleb chuckled.
"What?"
"Let me guess, you're going to tell them about how awesome you are and how you're the fastest flyer in all of Equestria." He said, slyly.
Rainbow put her hooves on her hips and raised an eyebrow with a smile.
"How'd ya know that?" She asked.
"I just know you too well, Dashie."
Rainbow was surprised when she heard him call her that pet name.
"He called me Dashie. That's odd. Usually Pinkie calls me that." She said to herself.
As soon as Kaleb and Bjorn left, Asuna's voice brought her back to reality.
"Uh, Rainbow?"
She turned to her.
"Are you okay?" Asuna asked.
Rainbow laughed a little.
"Ha ha ha. Yeah, I'm fine. I just... spaced out for a moment."
We cut to Kaleb and Bjorn who were walking to go meet the Gods. After a few minutes, they stopped. Bjorn pointed forward.
"Kaleb Clouse. I would like you to meet Odin and the Norse Gods." He said.
Kaleb looked forward and was surprised at the people he saw. There were four men, two women, two large wolves, and two birds. The first man carried a sword and shield. He was wearing armor with brown boots. He had black hair and a black beard. His right hand was missing. The second man looked muscular and had a blonde beard and blonde hair. He was also wearing armor. He also was carrying a large hammer. The third man was also muscular and was wearing armor with fur. He carried a battle axe. He also had a blonde beard and hair just like the other man.
The last man was also muscular. He wore a helmet with gold wings on it and gold armor with a red cape. He also had black hair. He also had a spear. His right eye was missing. Standing on each side of him were two women, two large wolves, and two birds. The first woman had black hair, gray eyes, and was wearing a red scarf. She was also wearing some kind of uniform with black boots. The other woman had green eyes and her blonde hair tied up in a ponytail. She was also wearing red and white armor and carried a sword.
"Wow." Was all Kaleb could say.
Bjorn cleared his throat and the people turned to his direction.
"Gods, I would like to introduce our new acquaintance. I would like you to meet Mr. Kaleb Clouse." He said as he introduced Kaleb.
"Ah, Kaleb Clouse." The man in gold armor said, "The other vikings and shield maidens told us about you; the legendary half man half wolf person. You're that creature are you?"
Kaleb chuckled and raised his right hand.
"Caught me red-handed." He said.
The man smiled and chuckled as well.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Kaleb." He said, "I am Odin; the All-Father of the Gods."
"I've heard about you and the Gods in stories, but I never knew you were real." Kaleb said.
"You better believe it." Said Odin.
He turned to the other men.
"Well, Kaleb, it's time for you to meet the Norse Gods. My two sons, Thor; God of Thunder, Baldur; God of Purity and father of Forseti, and Tyr; God of War."
"Holy cow."
The first man walked to Kaleb. It was Thor. He and Kaleb shook hands.
"You must be Kaleb. I and the other Gods heard about you. I am Thor; God of Thunder." He said.
"Wow. I can't believe it. I'm actually meeting the God of Thunder himself. I mean the first time I ever heard about him was in the Marvel movies and comics." Thought Kaleb.
Kaleb got a look at Thor's hammer.
"That's a mighty big hammer you got there, Thor." He said.
Thor held up his hammer, showing it to the boy.
"Oh, this? This is my mighty hammer, Mjölnir. It is a devastating weapon for killing enemies and it is also used to provide blessings." He told him.
"Oooooh. Just out of curiosity, can anyone else other than you hold it?" Asked Kaleb.
"Only someone who is worthy can hold Mjölnir. Many have tried and many have failed." Thor replied.
Kaleb thought about it for a second, then got an idea.
"Do you think that maybe... I can hold it?" Kaleb asked.
"Excuse me?"
"I asked if you think I can hold your hammer."
Thor looked at his hammer, then at Kaleb again.
"What makes you think you can hold Mjölnir?" Thor asked.
"Well, for one thing, I have super strength. So I was thinking that if I could lift anything, then maybe I can hold Mjölnir." Said Kaleb.
"I don't know." Thor said, "You don't look strong. And I doubt having super strength would be enough to lift Mjölnir."
Thor then smiled a bit.
"But if you're sure, then let's put your super strength and your worth to the test."
He placed Mjölnir on the ground.
"Go ahead. Surprise me."
Kaleb nodded and walked towards the hammer. He squatted down and grabbed the handle with his right hand. He then tried to lift it. He strained and strained, trying to lift the hammer. He then tried using both hands, but it was no use. He let go of Mjölnir, stopping to catch his breath.
"This man has a fighting spirit." Thor thought, "But even though he is a good person, I doubt he's pure of heart. I think if he isn't, then he wouldn't be worthy. Should I just tell him to stop and take my hammer back? No. Even if he doesn't look strong, he could still lift Mjölnir. He just might be worthy."
Kaleb stopped breathing heavily and looked at Thor and the others, then at Mjölnir again. Kaleb was starting to lose hope. He thought that even though he had super strength, Thor might have been correct. Maybe it isn't enough after all. He then got another idea. He looked at his left hand and thought that maybe if he lifted with his dominant hand, it just might work.
"It may be a gamble, but it's worth a shot." He said to himself.
He grabbed the handle of the hammer with his left hand and tried to lift it again. He strained and strained until he felt the hammer being lifted a little bit off the ground. Once he knew that, he kept on lifting and lifting. The Gods were shocked to see someone who wasn't Thor lift Mjölnir. Kaleb managed not only to lift the hammer, but hold it high in the air where lightning struck it. His eyes were yellow. Odin and the Gods were speechless.
"I can't believe he actually did it." Baldur said.
"I always thought that you would have to be pure of heart to be worthy to lift Mjölnir." Said Tyr.
Kaleb's eyes were brown again. He looked at Thor and walked towards him. He held up Mjölnir and handed it to Thor. The God of Thunder was astonished. He took his hammer and looked at it, then at Kaleb.
"Well." He said, "I guess you're worthy after all. Congratulations."
"No prob." Said Kaleb.
Tyr walked towards Kaleb.
"Kaleb?"
"Yes?"
"What's your weapon of choice?" He asked.
"Weapon?"
The God of War nodded.
"Yes. What's your weapon of choice? Sword? Spear? Mace? Battle ax?" He asked.
"I don't know." Kaleb said, "But if I had to go with one weapon, it would be a sword."
He then turned to Odin.
"Hey, Odin."
"Yes."
"Scootaloo met your daughters Yui and Tomoko. They're really nice people." He said.
"They sure are, Kaleb." Said Odin.
"Just out of curiosity, I noticed that Tomoko's left eye was missing. What happened?" Kaleb asked.
"I can easily explain that." Odin said, "She did the same thing I did; just like I traded my right eye for all the knowledge and wisdom in the world, she traded her left eye for all the knowledge and wisdom in the world."
"Wow. That must've been... one great sacrifice."
"It was."
"Is one of Yui's eyes missing too?" Kaleb asked, curious.
Odin nodded.
"Yes. She got that for being one of my greatest champions." He said.
Kaleb was shocked.
"She got that in a fight?!"
"That's right."
"Wow. You must have really strong-willed and intelligent daughters." Kaleb complimented.
Odin smiled.
"I sure do."
Kaleb then looked at the two women, the two wolves, and the two birds.
"Odin, who are the two women, wolves, and birds surrounding your throne?" He asked.
Odin chuckled.
"Oh, I almost forgot. Kaleb Clouse, I would like you to meet Mikasa Ackerman and Mordred." He said.
The two walked towards Kaleb. They each held out their hands for him to shake. Kaleb was surprised when he heard the first woman's name.
"Mikasa Ackerman? From Attack on Titan?" He thought, "I haven't seen the other woman before, but Mikasa?"
"Are you okay?" Mikasa asked.
Kaleb was brought back to reality.
"Uh... yeah. Yeah I'm fine."
He then shook both Mikasa and Mordred's hands.
Odin then gestured to the wolves.
"These are my wolves, Geri and Freki."
He then gestured to the birds.
"These are my ravens, Huginn and Muninn. They are not just my companions, they also bring information to me." He said.
He then held up his spear.
"And last but not least, this is my spear, Gungnir. The most powerful spear in the world."
"Wow." Kaleb said, "I know I've been saying that a lot, but you're just one epic God. Really. I mean it."
Odin smiled again.
"Glad you think so." He said, "Also, I am not the only one who is the father of Tomoko and Yui."
Kaleb was even more shocked.
"There's another one?!"
"Yes."
"Well, wh-who is it?"
"He is a Jedi master."
"A Jedi master? Like from Star Wars?" Kaleb thought.
"What's his name?"
Meanwhile, in the sky, four changelings were watching everything. The first two changelings looked at each other and nodded. They went flying back to Queen Chrysalis to tell her the news.
"Odin and the Norse Gods are there?" Queen Chrysalis asked.
The changelings nodded.
"Yes, my queen." One of them said, "And it seems that Kaleb and his friends have joined forces with him and their army. Chances are we could be outnumbered."
The changeling queen got a scared look.
"If they figure that out, it'll... it'll be the end of everything! We have to find another army to join us. But where are we going to find one?" She wondered.
Just then, she heard a voice.
"Fear not, Queen Chrysalis. For I have the answer."
Queen Chrysalis looked around for the source of the voice.
"Who's there?" She asked.
She looked towards a dark corner of the castle. Coming out of the dark were a slew of people she had never seen before. There was a little pink pegasus filly, a red centaur, a black stallion wearing armor, a crown, and royal robes, and a blue ram. There was also a man wearing all black with sunglasses, a woman who didn't look human, a man wearing a royal uniform, a man wearing a black cloak with a hood over his head, a tall muscular ugly looking creature, and a man with red eyes who was wearing a skull mask, a black cloak, brown pants, and black boots who also carried a sword. Leading them was a man with long black hair wearing a green cloak and gold armor. Queen Chrysalis was shocked at how many creatures got in her castle.
"Who are you and how did you get in my castle?" She asked.
"We'll tell you who we are as long as you tell us who you are. As for how we got in your home, I told your guards that we had very important business to discuss with you. So, they just let us in. Now who are you?" The man asked.
The changeling queen sighed.
"Well if I must, I must. My name is Queen Chrysalis. Ruler of the Changeling Empire." She said.
"I'm Cozy Glow." Said the filly.
"I am Tirek." The centaur said.
"I am King Sombra; rightful ruler of The Crystal Empire." The stallion said.
"I am Grogar." Said the blue ram.
It was now the other people's turn to speak. The man in sunglasses gestures to the big ugly creature.
"This big fellow is Nemesis." He said.
"STAAAAAARRRRRRS." Said Nemesis.
"I am Albert Wesker." The man in sunglasses said.
"I am Alexia Ashford and this is my brother, Alfred." The woman said as she gestured to her brother.
"My name is Red-eye Xaxa." Said the man in the skull mask introduced.
"My name is Emperor Palpatine; rightful ruler of the Galaxy." Said the man in the black hood.
"And I... am Loki." Said the man in green and gold clothing.
Queen Chrysalis then got a shocked look.
"Loki?" She repeated, "As in... Loki; the Norse God of Mischief?"
"And rightful ruler of Asgard." Loki added.
"What do you all come for?" The changeling queen asked.
Loki smiled evilly.
"We all have come to help you with your little problem. We've come to help you kill the man called Kaleb Clouse and his friends and take over Equestria." He said.
Queen Chrysalis thought about it for a minute.
"What's in it for you?" She asked.
"I've heard that your former weapon has not only teamed up with the ponies you want to destroy, but he has also teamed up with Odin, the Norse Gods and their army. And I want to see them go down more than anything." Said Loki.
Queen Chrysalis chuckled evilly.
"If it means killing that pathetic worm Kaleb and his friends and taking over all of Equestria, then how could I say no?" She said.
Loki smiled again.
"I was hoping you would say that." He said.
And with that, the Norse God of Mischief shook the changeling queen's hoof and the pact was made. Queen Chrysalis was going to take over Equestria with her army of villains by any means necessary.
Author's Note: Phew! If long chapters were an Olympic event, this one would most definitely take the gold. This chapter may have been super duper long, but like with my previous chapters, I got it done nevertheless.
