One night when setting up camp Artemis and her hunters heard a monstrous roar from the deep with the forest deciding that she and Zoe will see what had let out the monstrous roar leaving the rest of the hunters to finish setting up camp.
Once there they see a teenage male fighting the Chimera though what surprised them is that the mortal was using dark energy attacks to fight the beast even when the mortal was losing but kept standing his ground while at the same time angering the Chimera.
Chimera's fire breath pierces through his energy shield slamming him into a tree then the Chimera delivers the finishing blow but an arrow shot by Artemis made the beast slash the mortal's stomach.
Zoe had gotten chills from his dark energy it will be feeling she'll never forget and was shocked that her Goddess had saved the boy then she went to the boy while her Goddess dealt with the beast, the first thing Zoe noticed was that he was trying to heal himself with his own energy but seem unable to as well he was growing paler from losing blood as well his energy, she tore off a piece of fabric from her clothing and wrap it around his stomach.
Artemis skid past them as the Chimera charges straight towards them, the mortal pushes Zoe aside as he uses the last of his energy to let out a large energy blast at the beast, they watch as the Chimera burn away to nothing.
Artemis rush to his side seeing him unconscious placing her ear to his chest she hears a faint heartbeat then she looks to her lieutenant.
"He could be a threat to us if he were allowed to live," she told her Goddess simply nodded.
"True but I want to find out why he has shown such powers almost similar to us Olympians." she says to her lieutenant, "and besides something about him doesn't really sit well with me."
"Mi Lady he is dying and I highly doubt that we could save though even with the help of his own healing ability as it seems uncertain that he'll survive his injuries."
Artemis was thinking about how she could save the boy, it was no question that his destiny in this world would be something important given the amount of power he had displayed but to watch him die right in front of her was strangely saddening her and she had to think quickly.
"He must not die," she says full of determination, "Whatever happens here only us and the rest of the hunters will know of this."
Artemis slaps the boy across the face hard enough to wake him up, he glares at her angry that she had slapped him, "boy, I need you to listen to me if I am going to help you survive in this world. I am going to share my energy with you to boost yours and all I need you to do is focus your energy on your healing understand?"
He just nods his head and Artemis places her hands on his chest as a silver aura surrounds her body while she channels her divine energy into him which made the teen's own aura flare to life while he closes his eyes focusing on his healing ability.
Zoe couldn't believe that it was working as the boy seem to be healing until his energy started reacting violently to Artemis's divine energy but before the two can stop the boy's eyes open glowing silver as he grabs her upper arm hard enough to bruise it.
"Beware of the dark one, she had invaded my world in hoping to rule it but I had gotten in her way even though I wasn't aware of how powerful she'll be and barely manage to match her in battle the constant clash of our energies had caused my world to collapsed in on itself."
Before Artemis and Zoe can even question him there was an explosion of silver and black energies separating the three of them, Zoe was knocked into a tree while Artemis flew into a boulder.
The first to regain consciousness was Artemis shortly followed by Zoe, "did we kill him?" she heard her lieutenant but the Goddess shook her head as they walk to the crater made by the explosion instead of the teenager that they were trying to save only see that instead of a teen there was an infant with two different energies surrounding his tiny body. Artemis climbed down to the bottom of the crater as she reach the infant and pick him up seeing that his body was now producing two different types of energy.

Zoe watches Artemis come back up to her while carrying an infant, "is that the boy we were trying to save?"
"I am sure of that it is him since I can still sense his energy," she says to Zoe, "As well my own energy from within him."
Zoe wasn't sure what to make of this nor was she sure if the boy had parents given what he had told them, Artemis was in the same boat as her lieutenant but she knew she'll have to keep a close eye on him as well that she needed another person's opinion on the matter so she and Zoe started making their way back to the camp.
When they arrived at their camp the rest of the hunters swarm around them demanding what happened as well as about who is baby, but Zoe taking on her role as lieutenant silenced her fellow hunters and began explaining the situation while Artemis sat by a campfire concerned when the infant had started shaking but the heat from the fire seems to have helped a bit so she called for her twin knowing that he is probably trying to flirt with some mortal woman.
Within moments Apollo quickly arrived seeing his twin sister carrying a baby in her arms so he immediately says the first thing that had popped into his head just to get a reaction from his twin sister, "what the hell Artemis! when did you break your oath and have a child!"
The baby started to cry from Apollo's shout and Artemis glared at her twin brother while she calms down the baby, "I didn't break my oath as I am still a maiden and as for the baby, Zoe and I had saved him from a Chimera."
Apollo shook his head already knowing what had happened since he was the god of prophecies, "Artemis, I am already well aware of the events that were to take place tonight since I had seen it weeks prior but haven't brought this up with the council."
"If so then who is he and why does he display powers similar to us Olympians," Artemis demanded while glaring at her brother, "you should have at least come to me about this so I could have prepared for this ahead of time."
"The reason I didn't come to you or the council about it is for the reason that since he is from an entirely different universe unlike our own, the moment he had entered our universe was when he started losing his energy rapidly since this universe is immensely different from his own,"
He took a moment to breathe, "his body had started to give out on him due to the rapid loss of energy since he couldn't adapt to this universe's natural energies then I saw there was nothing that could have been done to save this mortal."
Artemis looked down at the baby who in return looked back at her, she can sense how much power that he has even though he has been turned into a baby.
"But it was unforeseen that you and Zoe would hear the commotion of his battle with the Chimera and would end up saving him leading to now this," he gestured to the infant.
"Changing his fate Artemis whatever his fate was before entering our world has now been changed and is now tied to us as well the rest of our world," Apollo said crossing his arms while he has a serious expression which told her and the hunters how serious this was, "naturally it'll be unwise to mess with the fate of mortals but given the circumstances of this, we'll have to see if he is to live or die."
"Before he had changed into a baby, he said something it was 'beware of the dark one' any idea of what he had meant?" she asked with some hope for a bit of more information on the upcoming future concerning the child.
"Honestly there is no telling on whoever this dark one could be and it could be possible that it can be an evil being from his universe or it could be someone from our universe but if I see anything more in the future that greatly involves him then I'll tell the council, but sister thanks to you saving this boy has now brought a wild card to the current prophecy but I'll tell you this since he has gained more than just your energy but some of your Ichor as well had transferred over through your divine energy."
"Which had probably caused the explosion since Ichor is toxic to mortals and with him putting all his energy into his healing, he must have adapted to it causing him to become a baby.." she said as she thinks about what to do with the child.
"Exactly sister, like I said he wasn't supposed to survive tonight but you had to intervene by sharing your divine energy including your Ichor with a mortal allowing him to adapt to our world causing this to happen."
With that said Apollo had flashed away hoping for his twin sister to make the right choice, Artemis look to her hunters.
"Girls while I understand that many of you don't particularly like men but I am going to adopt this child and he won't be in the hunt but he will be placed somewhere to be safe."
With that said, Artemis had taken the child to her tent where she places an enchanted bracelet on his wrist which is impossible for anyone else to remove the bracelet except for her and it would allow her to keep track of him, it will even keep him from accessing his dark energy.
She flashed away with the baby into her home back on Olympus remembering that Poseidon just recently had a son with a mortal woman she figures that she can have him talk to the woman about taking in the child which she remembered that she still has to name him.
"Shane Phoebe that will be your name."
She walks out of her home and headed for the throne room where they often have their meetings hoping to find Poseidon there which she was able to before he could flash away.
"Artemis, I thought you were with your hunters and is that a baby?"
"I was but something had happened which lead to the discovery of this little one, he is a Demi-god that Zoe and I had saved as well with me having just recently adopted him but I need to keep him safe but I really don't trust Dionysus and Camp Half-Blood."
Poseidon looks at the baby in her arms, he can feel her energy as well some unknown energy inside of the baby, "and I was hoping since you just had a son with a mortal woman that maybe you can talk with her?"
Poseidon sighed as he should have seen this coming, "Artemis, you out of all people should understand that Sally is a new mother so maybe taking in another person's child might be a bit much for her at the moment."
"I know that Poseidon but I don't know who I can turn to about this and you know the law.."
"I'll see what I can do for now just spend some time with him if there is no other option then he'll most likely have to be placed in Camp Half-Blood even though I doubt anyone there will know how to take care of a baby," he flashed away leaving her alone with the baby.
She takes Shane back to her hunter's camp so she and the hunters can spend some time with the baby before they are separated from him.
