Chapter 2 - Class 1-E Presentations - Discussing the S-System

POV de Ayanokouji:

Like most of the student body, I didn't like the entrance ceremony very much. There was a lot of time spent in lines and a lot of words of gratitude exchanged between the principal and the students. I could tell that even Miyuki didn't like her. But those weren't my only problems. The entrance ceremony represents the beginning of a new test for students. In order for students to enjoy their time at school, they must make friends, and there are only a few important days after the entrance ceremony to do this. Failure to do so signals the start of three tragic years.

Well at least I have my first friend. During the ceremony I could see several people. Some stood out, like for example a woman with breasts that look fake, with beautiful, very long blood red hair.

As someone who doesn't like problems, I decided that I would like to establish proper relationships. However, I was unfamiliar with the idea and consequently would spend the previous day agonizing over various scenarios and how to make friends. The approach I took with Miyuki might not work for everyone in particular so I have to be careful.

I pondered this as I walked with Miyuki down a hallway, sometimes looking at other classrooms full of students. When I get to my 1-E class, should I break in and start actively talking to people? Should I secretly distribute a piece of paper with my email address? Someone like me needed to practice because this environment was so strange compared to everything I've experienced so far. I was almost completely isolated on this battlefield, so it was all or nothing.

"What do you think our classmates will be like?" I hear Miyuki beside me ask.

"Well there's no way to know right? We'll see when you get to our room" I replied. It wasn't like I was being rude or anything. It's common thought to me. And looking at Miyuki I could tell she understood. Spending time thinking about it is useless as we'll soon have our answer, so there's no point thinking about it.

We arrived at 1-E class and when we walked through the door, I immediately noticed something strange. Compared to all the other classes, which were lined up with several rows of desks that stretched across the entire room, this room had only 10 desks positioned in a straight line. I could see that Miyuki found this strange too.

Six of them were already occupied, while the other four, including mine, were vacant. Miyuki and I walked over to our desks, divine gift or not, she was sitting next to me, the tables at the end of the row. I noticed that no one was really paying attention to our entrance. Instead two students were arguing while three others watched with mild interest. The only person not watching is reading a book. A blonde girl with light green eyes, she looks like a doll.

I can tell she's pretty bored given the pose she's been reading the book. She is with her arms outstretched as possible with her chin on the table looking at the book as if trying hard not to sleep right there. I've seen her... on the bus coming to school.

One of the students in the debate was the boy who gave his seat to the old woman on the bus - Kururugi Suzaku was his name, if I remember correctly. His seat was the third from the window, which means at a table between Miyuki and him.

On the table between us was the boy he was arguing with. He had black hair and his eyes looked like amethyst - they were a bright purple color. He was leaning back in his chair away from his desk, his right leg crossed over his left emitting a confident aura.

"Your perspective is naive. If you spend your time doing everything according to the book and trying to help everyone, you will end up wasting your entire life." he said, looking at Kururugi and ignoring everything around him.

"Results obtained the wrong way are meaningless. When it's finished, all that's left will be emptiness as you look back at the path you've traveled." Kururugi replied, slightly annoyed.

"Do you really believe this, Suzaku?"

"Of course. As long as you make sure you do the right thing, any results you present are justified." Kururugi said this as if it were an indisputable fact.

"That's wrong. The end justifies the means. There will be times when you can't afford to fail. What will you do then? You will have no choice but to use other people and discard them when your usefulness runs out." the black-haired boy replied calmly. Well I 100% agree with him in that regard. People who cannot help in any way are totally expendable.

I see it now. It looks like the 2 boys are having an argument about their conflicting ideologies which were effectively Individualism versus Altruism. If you asked me, I would have to side with the dark-haired boy. I have no interest in helping another person if it negatively affects me, and I have no problem using people for my own benefit. I can even see Miyuki beside me looking with interest at this conversation.

"It seems like we'll never agree when it comes to this. However, I think you'll end up living a life of isolation if you keep that mindset." Kururugi sighed.

The dark-haired boy didn't respond and turned his attention to the door, along with the rest of the students present. Two students had just entered the room, a boy and a girl who were holding hands.

Were they dating? I thought to myself, but somehow I didn't get that impression of them. Beside me I could see Miyuki getting slightly red in the cheeks. Another girl with black hair and brown eyes was just looking blatantly with a smile. She had that smile since we walked in.

The boy was tall and thin - he had spiky black/brown hair and red eyes with dark bags under them. He looked quite disheveled. A mischievous smile appeared on his face and he carried himself with an air of petulance.

The girl was short and had extremely long, messy white hair. Interestingly, her hair had a light blue, purple, pink, green and yellow hue that covered it up like a shine. How the hell is that possible? Like the boy, she was quite thin and had passive eyes that, like her hair, were an odd color. They were a yellow-red gradient color with golden pupils. She was very pretty, all things considered. And pretty cute too.

Looks like the last of us has arrived. I wonder, what's with this overly small class?

Shortly after the newcomers were seated, a woman entered the classroom. A very pretty young woman with hip-length lavender hair who has a small ponytail tied down her back with bangs hanging down the left side, pale blue-green eyes and very large breasts. She wears a white lab coat with an official/commercial shirt, dark gray skirt with long dark socks. If I had to guess, I would say your age is around 22 years old. Very young.

"Good morning everyone. My name is Ayame Himuro (Do you know who this is?) and I will be your classroom teacher for the next three years, so we should get to know each other don't you think? I will also be your instructor for English classes. A Entrance ceremony will be in an hour, but before that I have some written materials with information about the special rules of this school for all of you, as well as the admission guides."

Ayame-sensei passed on to one of us the family documents I received after I was accepted.

This school differed from the crowd of other Japanese high schools in some important respects. Here, all students were forced to live in dormitories located on the school premises. Also, except in special cases, such as studying abroad, students were prohibited from contacting anyone outside the school. Even contact with his immediate family was prohibited without authorization. Of course, leaving the school premises without permission was also strictly prohibited.

However, the campus also came equipped with many excellent facilities. With its own karaoke, theater, cafe, boutique and more, you can easily compare this school to a small town. The campus spread over 600,000 square meters.

This school had another unique resource: the S System.

"Now I'm going to hand out your student ID cards. With them, you can access any of the campus facilities, buy merchandise from stores, and so on. Basically, it's your credit card for the next three years here. careful about how much you spend ok I would not want any of you might be left without money in the? first month this school, you can buy. any thing with points. - you can buy anything located on the school campus " That was interesting. The way she quoted 'anything' and that 'month' is suspicious. I could see that some of my classmates also blinked when she said this.

Our points, which were loaded onto our identification cards, acted as our currency. It looked like the school would provide it for free.

"Your student cards are easy to use, all you have to do is swipe them through the machine's scanner like you would a real credit card. Points are automatically deposited into your account on the first day of every month. have received 100.00 points for this month . One point is equal to one yen, so the currency value shouldn't be confused. That's all."

Some eyes widened at the mention of having received 100,000 points, meaning Kururugi, the black haired girl with brown eyes and the white haired girl had a surprised expression on their face. But I'm really curious about this black haired girl, does her expression seem more...excited by the stitches? Curious. Ayame-sensei kept his face unruffled and serious from the start as if he was watching our expressions carefully.

The girl who looked like a doll with blonde hair was just listening intently to everything Ayame-sensei is talking about. Her bored expression is completely gone as she listens.

"This school assesses the talent of the students. All of you managed to get accepted, which speaks for itself about your worth and potential. The amount you received reflects your assessment of your worth. After you graduate, all your points will be returned to school and there is no way to convert points to cash, so there is no point in saving them. You can do whatever you want with your points - you can also transfer them to another student if you wish. Theft and extortion are strictly banned and will be punished if found, so make sure you don't do anything like that or you'll get in trouble. This school monitors bullying very carefully and if someone is found to have committed, the punishment will be expulsion." She told us. Expulsion huh...

Some students showed understanding expressions as Ayame-sensei spoke, while others like me and the black haired boy who was debating with Kururugi along with the 'doll' and the black haired girl looked uninterested. Kururugi and the white-haired girl still looked a little confused. I could see Miyuki with a thoughtful expression.

"There is also one more thing I need to tell you before I leave." Ayame-sensei said in a more serious tone than she had used so far so we paid close attention.

"I'm sure you've all noticed by now that this class is unlike any of the others. You only have ten students and no one here exactly fits the normal description of a high school student."

Looks like something was up after all. I was a little concerned that none of us fit the description of a 'normal high school'. If we knew that our class is some kind of special class made up of unusual individuals, it would be difficult for me to blend in as an ordinary student.

"In fact, all of you were evaluated by the school as excellent students. You could even call each one of you here a unique talent. It turns out that ten of each of you applied to this school in the same year, so the school decided to create one special experimental class just for you: Class-E Normally there are only classes A, B, C and D at this school each year for a total of four classes, so none of the other students will know of this class until next month. Does anyone have any questions to ask?" she explains to us a lot of things we didn't know about our class.

This was certainly a disturbing development for me. It will be nearly impossible for me to act like an average student right now, at least in this class. In a normal classroom, it would be simple, but in a classroom specifically designed for excellent students, it would be extremely difficult to act like an average high school student, because if I look average then I will stand out... beyond Besides, if what Ayame-sensei said about each of us being a unique talent is true, then it's likely they would see right through me. Very troublesome indeed. I could feel a look on me since I walked into this room several times, but I couldn't figure out who it was from the fact that I always turned around discreetly so no one would notice or I thought so since,

Interesting.

"Sensei, what is the purpose of the school to change their entire system and assign us a single class? Would it be a problem if we were placed in other classes?" someone spoke.

It was one of the boys who silently watched the debate before Ayame-sensei entered. He was above average height, with light brown hair and brown eyes. He spoke calmly but politely.

"Right now, I can't tell you the details, but there's a reason the school decided to give you your own class. As for your other question, it would probably be a problem if you were all fairly allocated to other classes though I was can't tell you why that yet."

Ayame-sensei spoke in his tone and looking serious as always since arriving in this room. This school really did seem to be unique, as the classes didn't seem to operate simply as groups of students learning in the same room. If so, there would be no reason for the school to allocate us to a special "experimental" class. There were probably a lot of things that teachers are not revealing right now. I looked around to gauge my colleagues' reactions.

Miyuki still seemed to be thinking about what Ayame-sensei had told us. Kururugi and the white-haired girl looked more confused than before Ayame-sensei elaborated. In fact, this tells me that these two weren't evaluated based on their deductive reasoning. The two boys who had been silent during the previous debate had a relaxed, calm expression, as if nothing out of the ordinary had been said. The spiky black haired boy's expression was still identical to when he entered the class, the mischievous smile ever present on his face. The amethyst-eyed student who previously argued in favor of individualism sits next to me and Miyuki looked uninterested. He's what I'm most curious about right now. Like me,

The blonde girl who looks like a doll was looking thoughtful with her hand on her chin as if deducing something. The last girl, the one with black hair and brown eyes was showing the same smile she had had from the beginning and looked like she was about to ask something, and as I predicted...

"Sensei" she held up her hand. All attention went to her now. "Yes? Do you have any questions?" Ayame-sensei spoke.

"Yes, you said we could transfer points to other people right? If that's true then bets are allowed?" She spoke with an even bigger smile on that last part. Me and some of my colleagues paid close attention to what she said. Well it's not wrong to assume that, bets can probably actually be made. But the way she said it left something else. I could see that some of my colleagues noticed too. Sensei just thought for a moment before answering. Probably wondering if he was allowed to talk about it or not.

"If you're talking about game betting or something like that where students bet their points on the winner then yes, they're allowed as long as both sides agree, anything else?" Sensei replied after thinking for a while. I could see some faces thinking about the new information. The boy with the smirk seemed to be even happier for some reason.

"No~ Thanks for the answer sensei" the girl spoke more cheerfully than before when she thanked him. Well it looks like she's going to bet a lot on games. I assumed.

Then something I didn't really expect happened. The girl who looked bored more than anything before raised her hand. I could see some raised eyebrows from the amethyst-eyed boy and the smirking boy. As if they were surprised by this development. The boy with the smirk was the last to enter along with the girl, but even so he seemed to notice her behavior earlier to look a little surprised.

"Yes, any questions?" Sensei asked.

"You said before that this school was based on merit and we would receive 100,000 points this month . Am I right?" The girl asked. So she noticed huh? Sensei looked a little surprised but soon returned to her serious face before answering. All my classmates were paying close attention to this interaction including Miyuki beside me.

"Yes, exactly, but where do you want to go?"

"Those cameras that are scattered around the room, they're here not only to monitor the bullying part you talked about, but also for us to monitor specifically aren't they?" the girl asked. I could see some confused expressions of the white haired girl next to Kururugi in the camera part, even the smirking boy along with the others looked up. So those who haven't seen it before have noticed. The tiny cameras in various places in the classroom from different angles.

"I can't answer that question" Ayame-sensei replied. The girl frowned and then asked her next question.

"Very well, how many points will we get in next month sensei?" She spoke again. Looks like this girl has excellent deductive and analytical skills huh.

"I can't answer that question either," she spoke once more. Aside from Kururugi and the white-haired girl, everyone else seemed to think deeply about this development. The information said.

"If no one else has any questions, then I'll leave alright? Make sure you have fun during your time here, okay?" with that, Ayame-sensei left the classroom.

Despite all the restrictions like being forced to live in dorms, being banned from leaving campus, and being banned from contacting anyone outside, no one seemed to have any complaints. In fact, you could say that we've received such preferential treatment that it's as if we've been transported to paradise. Of course, the most impressive stat of the Advanced Nutrition High School was its placement rate of nearly 100% for students advancing to higher education or entering the workforce.

This government-sponsored school's thorough orientation to its students hoped to ensure a better future. In fact the school heavily advertised this. Many of his former students have achieved fame. Usually, no matter how famous or impressive a school may be, areas of specialization are limited. For example, a school might specialize in sports or music. Another might focus on something related to computers. However, at this school, any student can expect to be successful, regardless of their field.

Only this school had that kind of brand value. I thought the atmosphere would be cruel, but most of the students looked like a normal kid. In fact, the ten of us in 1-E class are probably the least like normal people...

"This all seems to be a little too generous ... " I heard the person next to the black hair mutter. He seems to be thinking seriously after that girl's debate with sensei.

"Hey, can I have everyone's attention for a quick second?"

The spiky reddish-brown-haired student who entered the classroom spoke from his desk, which was behind the door on the other side of mine. Normally, you would imagine someone who

in a classroom of strangers as an extroverted honor student, yet this boy was the antithesis of that image. Not only was his appearance disheveled and messed up, but he wasn't the least bit outgoing either - he seemed to be speaking out of obligation rather than genuinely wanting to talk to his new colleagues.

"It looks like the ten of us here will be known for the next three years. We have an hour before the school requires us to go somewhere, so we can use some of that time to get to know each other, right?" He continued.

His manner of speaking was informal compared to the brown-haired boy who asked a question earlier. Although he was polite and calm in speaking, this boy was much more direct.

"I don't have a problem. You can introduce yourself first, and we'll move on until everyone has introduced themselves." the black-haired boy said.

"Of course. I'm Sora and this is my beautiful sister, Shiro." he said, gesturing towards the white haired girl he entered with.

Ah, so it's his sister. I got the feeling they were close, but they weren't dating. Then that's it.

"Shiro doesn't get along very well with other people, so I'll just introduce the two of us. We've been closed all our lives, this is the first school we've properly committed to attending. If you put the kanji by our names together, you will get KÜHAKU or Blank as we go. In all the thousands of games we've played before, Blank has never lost and this school isn't going to change that. Hope we can get along with you all. Oh, and also, Shiro and I gave up our last names ago a long time, so we just use our first names now."

It seems that Sora and Shiro were similar to me in the sense that this is also the first school I attended. They made a pretty bold statement that they had never lost before while working together, despite playing thousands of games. I wondered if that was really true, normally I would dismiss it as a ridiculous statement, but after what Ayame-sensei said about this classroom, there's a chance that it's true. The question of last names also seemed interesting, but I didn't think much about it.

"Your turn." Sora said, nodding his head towards the boy sitting on the left.

This boy was the person I paid least attention to so far. He looked very thin and pale, and had extremely messy black hair around his neck. His eyes were like black holes, deep black orbs that stared at whatever he was looking at. He also sat in an exceedingly awkward posture. He was perched on the edge of his chair instead of sitting like everyone else. Judging by his appearance, I don't see how he could be considered a unique talent in a generation. He didn't look athletic, and he didn't look particularly smart either. But again, appearances can be deceiving.

"My name is.." he started but hesitated before saying his name.

He stopped for a few seconds before it looked like he had made up his mind and continued.

"My name is Rue Ryuzaki, feel free to call me Ryuzaki. If you asked me what I like, I would say candy and solve crimes. I'm also very good at tennis, I was a junior tennis champion in Great Britain, although I'm not sure how useful that particular talent will be at this school. Nice to meet you."

The fact that he hesitates before saying your name is weird, but it's probably not worth thinking about. Looks like my surface level assessment was incorrect. Since Ryuzaki claimed to be very good at the sport. He spoke in a rather monotone, so I couldn't really figure out if he was joking or not when he said he likes to solve crimes.

"Am I next then? My name is Light Yagami and I'd rather you use my first name than my last name. Coincidentally, I'm also quite proficient in tennis. of becoming a detective in the future. I can be friends with just about anyone, as long as they're not a delinquent."

So far, Light seems to be the 'most normal' of all performances. He appeared to be an average student with a general plan for his future job. Sora and Shiro made an extremely bold intro, claiming they had never lost before, and Ryuzaki was quite unusual overall. He didn't strike me as the type to climb the social hierarchy.

Everyone looked at Kururugi and it took him a few seconds to realize it was his turn.

"I'm Kururugi Suzaku. From the short time I've spent in this classroom, I already have the feeling that I'm significantly below everyone else here in intelligence." he said with a small laugh.

"I joined the army at a very young age and I didn't have a chance to go to a normal school. In fact, the only reason I'm here is because I was forced to enroll. Because of that, I'm confident in my physical abilities, but I never had one. complete education. Hope to be friends with all of you."

Kururugi bowed slightly before sitting down. I think I'm starting to understand a little bit about Kururugi. He seems to value benevolence and discipline due to his background, which is probably what helped spark the debate that was taking place when Miyuki and I entered.

The dark-haired boy beside him stood up confidently and began his presentation as soon as Kururugi sat down.

"My name is Lamperouge Lelouch, I will ask everyone to call me Lelouch because it bothers me to be called Lamperouge. Before enrolling here, I used to bet on chess games instead of attending physical education classes, an effective way to win money and I really have no talent for anything that requires physical prowess so don't expect too much from me in that area. Nice to meet you."

Lelouch had a relatively normal introduction. The only thing that caught my attention was that he mentioned that he used to bet on chess games. I've played a lot of chess and basically never lost, so I wondered if Lelouch could be a match for me. I doubted it, but secretly hoped he would be able to beat me.

The girl with black hair and brown eyes stood up to introduce herself.

"My name is Yumeko Jabami, I like to bet on games, the bigger the bet, the more exciting and fun the game is, specifically my favorite type is gambling, I hope to become friends with all of you. I'm confident in my game. academic skills, but I'm not bad at physical matters either, as long as it's not too heavy." She speaks with her hands clasped together with great excitement and a triumphant smile. I saw that most raised an eyebrow at the gambling part. Sora looked the same after Lelouch's performance. Well that's to be expected I guess, after all there are two people here who are interested in games, and based on what he says, he and Shiro never lost. So I think he's excited by the prospect of new opponents.

Then it's her turn.

"Well I guess it's my turn now alright? Nice to meet you my name is Shiba Miyuki, I hope we can all be friends over the next three years, I'm pretty confident in my academic skills, and I'm not bad at either. physical issues too, as for my tastes, I don't really have any kind of preference, as long as I put in a little effort I think I can do almost anything." She ends up bowing a little towards us.

This presentation was really intriguing. First we have Miyuki, she clearly gives the impression of a woman who trusts herself a lot when it comes to what she can do. She is also very polite, looking like Light in social matters. The interesting fact is that the part of her is confident in her physical abilities, looking closely she looks very thin, and has thin arms and legs. But again, just like Ryuzaki, looks can be deceiving.

Then I realized that now it was my turn. It just occurred to me that I hadn't said a word since entering class and now I was expected to get up and introduce myself. Everyone was looking at me expectantly and I hadn't planned my performance. This is not good. I could see clearly now that the girl who will be the last to introduce herself to 'doll' was looking right at me as if she was expecting something interesting...

Clack! My chair shook as I hurriedly got up.

"Um, well, my name is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. And, uh, I don't really have any special skills or anything like that. I'll do my best to get along with you all. It's, uh, um, nice to meet you all ."

Speaks seriously. Was that my introduction? I was able to properly introduce myself to Miyuki, so how the hell did I screw this up now?

I completely screwed up. My social standing was pretty much doomed in that class now. I instinctively burned my head with my hands. I haven't had a chance to build a proper intro since I've been too busy analyzing everyone else's crap. Ayame-sensei interested me by saying that all my colleagues would be excellent, so I spent a lot of time judging them and forgot my own presentation. I could see Miyuki giving me a confused look, and the 'doll' quickly into…disappointment?

Just when I thought I would be stuck being unpopular and lonely for the rest of my years at this school due to my complete failure to perform, a voice called to me.

"You should loosen up a little. I don't know about everyone, but personally I don't care about this crap social hierarchy. The ten of us are expected to go against the other classes, although they have something like five to six times as many students as we do. We'll probably have to work together to achieve that, so you can also tell us a little bit about what you did before enrolling here." Sora said to me in his usual direct tone.

"He's right Kiyotaka-san, no need to be shy now" Miyuki says to me with a smile. God, thank you for giving me her as a first friend.

"Nii, what do you mean going against other classes?" Shiro spoke for the first time since entering the room.

"Oh, so you still haven't noticed? It seemed pretty obvious to me. What other reason could there be to segregate the brilliant students from the rest of the student body if we didn't have to compete with them? normal school, there would be no need for this 'experimental class' of ours. At first I thought the reason might be that our class would be given much more difficult material than all the others, but as Suzaku is here, that can't be the case. As such, my conclusion is that we are here in the E class because if we were all placed in one of the four regular classes, it would be unfair to the other three when we competed against them." Sora explained to his sister.

It was an impressive deduction, given that we had nothing to go on, but sora already seems pretty confident that he's figured out the 1-E class goal. I had come to a similar conclusion during Ayame-sensei's explanation, and I'm sure the 'doll' did too, which confirms that Sora's deduction is correct.

"Before we continue, how about the last person to introduce themselves?" Lelouch speaks getting our attention. And then our attention goes to the girl with the blonde hair and green eyes.

"Oh yes, sorry miss, could you please introduce yourself?" Sora spoke quickly as if feeling guilty for having forgotten about her.

"Well, it's not your fault I think, I also got flustered when I was listening to the explanation and during it I came to the same conclusion as you" the girl replied. That made Sora's eyebrow rise.

"Eto, well." The girl looked like she didn't have the strength herself to get up and introduce herself, as if she was lazy...

"You don't need to get up if you don't want to." Lelouch responded with a bit of annoyance, as if he didn't want to waste any more time on these introductions.

"Right then. My name is Victorique de Blois, I like to sleep, I hate things that are boring, I get bored with basically everything so one of the reasons I came here is because I thought I would lose my boredom and find something interesting. .. and I think I actually found it. My hobby is the same as the weird guy who sits awkwardly, that is, I like to solve mysteries and crimes, and just like Lelouch doesn't count on me for physical activities." the girl spoke with her head on the table raising her arms a little as she spoke. Her tone was like she was bored.

This was actually one of the most interesting presentations that took place here. I could see several people interested in his presentation despite his lack of enthusiasm. I could see Ryuzaki become slightly interested when she said she also likes to solve crimes and mystery? This was weird.

And what did she mean when she found something interesting?

"So we have two detectives in our room huh?" Sora spoke a little excited. "Wait a minute, that name of yours isn't Japanese, could you be a foreigner?" Sora quickly asks a question after speaking.

"Yes, you're right, I'm from Europe, as I said I came to this place looking for interesting things, and this school seemed interesting." She answered. Europe huh? This is really interesting. A foreigner, it's not like she was the first one I saw after all some people visited that place. But she is actually the most interesting one I've seen. Especially at this school. I couldn't help but get a little excited about it.

"Europe huh... this is certainly interesting, you also asked Sensei some interesting questions. Also the fact of the cameras, when did you notice them?" Lelouch asked for her. She lifted her head slightly from the table as if struggling to look at him to answer.

"I noticed them the moment I walked into the room, for example, you noticed them exactly in 3 minutes and 32 seconds. Sora noticed 3 minutes and 35 seconds. Ryuzaki noticed quickly in about 1 minute and 2 seconds, that's because of that he was watching a little of the people who were already here when he arrived, so it took a while. Light realized with 1 minute and 36 seconds, but just like Ryuzaki he was entertaining himself with his little debate earlier. Now Ayanokouji noticed them exactly with 33 seconds since entering the room, but when he entered he observed the debate he was having between Lelouch and Kururugi, so I think he would be able to receive immediately just like me if that weren't the case." the girl responds like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

"..."

"..."

"..."

What the hell? How the hell did she figure it all out? Wasn't she reading that book like she was bored? Unless you-

I understood...

Lelouch and Sora realized after about 3 and a half minutes huh? I think it's normal looking at the size of these cameras, when Sora arrived he was busier making time for his sister, and Lelouch had probably been talking to Kururugi for quite some time before they even got to the classroom. Even though she said I would, I probably still couldn't see the cameras the moment I set foot in the room.

I can see several eyes widen from what they just heard. Hell, even I think I look a little surprised here. The most surprising is Shiro, along with his brother who is also very perplexed. I take back what I said before, her analytical skills are not excellent. They can be considered superhuman. How on earth can someone reading a book, if he was actually reading it, catch all that when he wants to be looking too hard at that person?

This girl is scary...

"This... is really impressive" after a long time in silence Lelouch mutters.

"Well actually... Shiro looks like you have someone a little like you, even if they're not really like you" Sora says to his sister? Huh? what did he mean with this? I also see others getting confused.

"So…where were we exactly?" incredibly who asked this was Ryuzaki. He looked like he wanted to get back to the argument we were having. But I could see your surprise about Victorique. It was probably the first time I saw him actually show some kind of subtle expression on his face.

"The fact that we are put to fight with other classes." Sora spoke.

"Well…that doesn't make sense does it? Why not spread us out among the other classes if we're all in the same class would be unfair?" Kururugi asked getting back to the main topic.

"Hmm, well I haven't been able to come to a definitive conclusion about that yet. We don't know enough about the school at this stage. One thing we do know is that our class is an 'experimental class', maybe that's it - an experiment . Maybe the president just wanted to see what would happen." Sora replied thinking of something.

"If we really have to compete with the other classes, we are already at a huge disadvantage. As for resources, our class will have much less cumulatively than the others. If I'm not mistaken, this school has forty students per class, per year, which means that each class has adding up all students in the class about 4,000,000 points at the beginning of this month, while our E class has only 1,000,000. If the points are only used for something used in our daily lives, so she won, so if we need to buy something during class competitions then we are really going to a very unfavorable position." Lelouch added.

What Lelouch said was also very important. If things like points and possibly other resources distributed by students become important in the future, we will expect to lose virtually every class competition we enter.

Before I knew it, our class of ten students had gathered in a discussion and started analyzing the school after just a short interaction with our classroom teacher. The deductions made by Sora and Lelouch were certainly convincing, and not something an average student would immediately do after hearing Ayame-sensei's explanation. Maybe my peers really are elites at my level after all.

But... to something we're leaving out here. That interaction that Victorique had with Ayame-sensei. She alone gives us a lot of information, and I feel like it doesn't take long for someone to point that out. Miyuki and Jabami are just listening to the deductions so far without having said anything. Although they sure seem to be very smart, deductions aren't their strong suit. Victorique and Ryuzaki look the best in this field if I had to guess.

Unlike the others who were busy paying attention to the previous debate or chatting, she said that when he walked in he kept looking at his classmates who were already in the classroom. He was probably analyzing them...

"Normally I would say we don't have much information, but we're missing something here. Victorique's conversation with sensei." and as expected, someone pointed this out. It was Sora.

"Yes, Victorique, could you tell us what you think about this? I would like to hear your opinion" Sora asked her. She lifted her head and then rose from the table. She reached behind her uniform like she was looking for something and then...

Smoking pipe? She out of nowhere took a pipe from I don't know where. The pipe was made of blue and white ceramic. All my colleagues widened their eyes a little.

"Hey… is this allowed?" I hear Lelouch say in a low tone. "I don't know, but look, it looks like there's nothing on it, she just has it in her mouth. Maybe that's her way of concentrating?" Sora whispers back to Lelouch. Victorique then begins his explanation.

"Well, when I asked Sensei about the part about the cameras being not just to monitor bullying but we monitor specifically, I meant. Monitor our behavior. Now think about it, do you think the school would give us 100,000 points all the free months with nothing? No, that's just impossible. Will a school reputed to be the best school created by the Japanese government give those kinds of luxuries to its students without wanting to receive anything in return? Don't make me laugh. there is a catch to that." She begins her explanation while pacing her pipe in a state of extreme thought.

This is indeed an impressive analytical view. While I can say that some of my colleagues also think the dot parts are suspect, she's probably already come to the real conclusion. Impressive indeed. This girl is really interesting.

"So I asked my second question. " You said earlier that this school was based on merit and we would get 100,000 points this month," she responded in the same way. The piece of merit I was referring to was about these cameras. being watched in class on these cameras, so what do you think? 100,000 points a month plus merit?" She asked.

"I see where you want to go Victorique-chan" Sora replied this time adding a suffix to her name, she didn't seem to mind. Kururugi and Shiro looked confused while the rest understood what Sora said. Victorique then continued.

"Exactly Sora, the points we receive, are based on our merit. Meaning, tardiness, cell phone usage or things like that in our class will likely be deducted from the points we would receive next month." She concluded. Kururugi and Shiro who were not understanding finally understood where Victorique was going.

"So basically we needed us to behave in the classroom is that it?" Miyuki says to no one in particular.

"That's probably the basis for it." Victorique stated.

"But even more…even with that information, I feel like something else is missing. Something the school or our teacher hasn't told us about yet." Sora speaks to no one. And everyone agrees with that, there's definitely something weird.

"You're right Sora, there's definitely a lack of information...the fragments of chaos haven't all been gathered yet..." She spoke the last part very softly but we were still able to hear it.

"Fragments... of chaos?" Kururugi asks confused. Well the rest is too.

"Is nothing." She said.

"But tell Victorique...you said in your presentation that you found something interesting. What would that be?" Sora decided to put the discussion aside and asked something a little personal. She suddenly lifts her head and looks at us. She looks at me specifically.

"You... Ayanokouji, it's very interesting" she says out of nowhere. I see in my peripheral vision that Miyuki suddenly freezes. I raised an eyebrow. I... interesting? The others also looked perplexed by what she said so she walks over to stand next to me.

"My intuition is pretty high, and she tells me that being around you will definitely not be boring." She speaks with a small smile.

"Hey hey look at this, looks like you really won the Ayanokouji lottery, the little one here fell in love with you at first sight haha" Lelouch comments laughing at me. Victorique suddenly turns red and turns to him and then starts screaming.

"What!? What the hell are you saying!? I didn't mean it that way!" She yells at him, who is still laughing. Suzaku is also laughing a little, I can see that Light and Jabami who were silent until now are also laughing. But I can't help but think that she angrily makes a really cute expression.

"Oh yeah? So what exactly did you mean doll-kun, how about calling your boyfriend-kun?" Lelouch simply mocks her still laughing. Boyfriend-kun? Huh?

"Doll-kun!? What the hell are you calling me!? I have a name you shit boy!" She screamed, but he continued to laugh along with the others. I have to admit. This is really fun. Then suddenly...

Everyone who was laughing stops instantly. The reason? I suddenly feel like the whole class is being put in an ice cube with less than 0°C. When we avert our eyes to the source of it...

Miyuki was standing there with a big smile, but her face told him she sure as hell wasn't having fun at all.

"Lelouch-san. I don't think it's appropriate for you to jump to conclusions like that and use them for your own amusement" She speaks with a big smile, but the way her words come out and her face clearly show that she wasn't amused. It's like Lelouch cringes quickly at the tone she used.

"CC-Alright, I think I went too far, sorry Victorique." After he says this, the aura completely deflates and returns to normal. "I see. As long as you understand it's okay," she says with a genuine smile this time.

' What the hell was that? I thought she was going to kill me... she really reminded me of someone ' Lelouch thought giving a cold shiver hugging himself.

"Thank you Miyuki." Victorique thanks you. "You're welcome Victorique-san." Miyuki responds with a smile. Something tells me they're going to be good friends. And why do I feel this is going to be my death sentence?

"Now folks, as much fun as this is, we should head to the ceremony that's about to start." Light's voice catches everyone's attention. Huh? We all looked at the time and then widened our eyes. It will start in less than 15 minutes. Did we spend so much time talking like this?

"Looks like he's right, we can talk some more about our suspicions and have fun later." Sora spoke with Shiro at his side holding his hand. So we start to move, but first Sora says something. "Before that Ayanokouji, could you introduce yourself in a better way.?" He speaks to me. Everyone stops and starts looking at me.

Seriously, why is this now? Well let's just talk then.

"Well, like Lelouch, I used to play a lot of chess. I also read a lot of books during my time. I'm also confident in my studies and physical skills. Oh I also play piano, I could play Für Elise if I had one here."

I decided to give a vague summary rather than go into detail about my true abilities. At this stage, revealing things like these to people who are effectively strangers would certainly do me no favors. My introduction seemed to satisfy my classmates quite a bit.

"See, this was much better than your... initial introduction. It seems we have a lot of chess players here, Shiro and I also play a lot of chess games, thousands actually. But piano? This one definitely took me by surprise. Unfortunately, we can't play as it's less than 12 minutes until the ceremony. I really wanted to face Lelouch or you in a game of Chess before I go. Sora spoke as we prepared to leave. In doing this I couldn't help but have a thought.

Maybe it's not so bad to be a part of this group, instead of trying to blend in with something common for the next three years. I can mix with people with skills who can match me. This is really interesting. And the person I'm most interested in right now isn't Lelouch anymore, it's her.

Victorique de Blois eh?
