Chapter 8 - Getting to Know Class 1-E - Conversation with Ayanopapa
Horikita Pov:
I looked around at the group I was walking down the hall with as my mind turned to what had happened earlier.
When I woke up, one of the first things I, and no doubt many of the other students in Class D, noticed was that only 10,000 points were awarded. Some of the dumber students were completely outraged by this, even after my warning.
Seriously, what did I do to deserve falling into this retard Class?
When Chabashira-sensei arrived, she was immediately interrogated by the students for a reason why only 10,000 points were awarded. This after ignoring Ike-kun's sexual harassment, seriously what's the problem with this retard? How did he get into school in the first place? Not even in Class D would he have to be able to.
And then I remembered what Hotaro-kun said a few weeks ago. ' This school does not only assess students based on their grade. Note, it appears that several students in our Class, along with Class C, seem to have very athletic people.' He said. But I really can't think straight. He also said that everyone who fell into Class D has a defect. But that cannot be true.
After all, I don't have any defects, so why was I placed in this Class
Chabashira-sensei started calling our class ' stupid ' and ' defective ', but said he was impressed that our class didn't get 0 points. About 69 incidences of absences or tardiness and two hundred and 58 of talking or using the telephone in the classroom, we lost about 90,000 points that we would receive. However, we are not left with zero. That's why a week and a half before the month was up, Hotaro-kun approached me and told me about everything. He said that if the Class continued as it was, we would not receive any points.
So, I approached the Class the next day, and pointed out the evidence that he had introduced me. I managed to convince most of it before it became irreversible. However... some idiots didn't take the warning seriously. If they had, our Class would have gotten more than just 10,000 points. This I am sure.
When I broached why he told me all this, he just spoke.
"I don't really care about the people in our Class. I also saved some points, however, I still wanted to receive some at the end of the month. After all, if we stay with 0 there is the possibility of staying in that amount for a long time or even permanent, so I don't want to risk it. And the fact that I ask you to present this to the Class is why I don't want to draw unnecessary attention. I'd rather spend my time sleeping than answering other people's shit."
I really don't understand him. He sure is very smart to have noticed all these things. But why doesn't he seem dissatisfied with the Class he was placed in? There's no sense at all.
Hirata-kun soothed the Class as he tried to speak on her behalf, but Chabashira-sensei mercilessly shot him and mocked him, saying that now we shouldn't have to be told how to behave. She said the school cannot disclose student assessment methods, making the situation even more chaotic for some people. These people are probably the idiots who spent all of their 100,000 points in 1 month, and are only left with 10,000 now.
"You should thank instead of complaining about your monkeys. If it wasn't for the Horikita girl, you would have 0 points right now. She warned and still had some flaws that didn't give a damn about your warning, ha!" Koenji suddenly exclaimed, combing his hair with his usual attitude.
"What the fuck do you mean!?" Yamauchi-kun yelled at him.
"Exactly what I said you monkey. You shouldn't even have the right to speak. Your voice alone infects my perfect existence, so please be expelled already," he said, still brushing his hair. I could see Yamauchi-kun getting annoyed with him. But I agree 100% with Koenji-kun on that. He would do a lot more not being in this school.
"Calm down guys," Hirata-kun said trying to calm the impending fight.
"Just like he says, calm down you monkey, you're making your face uglier than it already is," Koenji-kun says putting his feet on the table. That just seemed to make things more problematic.
"Which!?" Yamauchi-kun yelled at him.
"I won't waste any more time talking monkeys," he said suddenly and was silent.
"Why yours!"
"Calm down Yamauchi," Ike-kun told him putting his hand on his shoulder. It took a little longer he calmed down and all the commotion was forgotten.
After that, the bell rang, prompting Chabashira-sensei to move on to the next topic and glue a curled sheet to the blackboard. In it, classes and numbers were annotated in column format.
Classification of class points:
Class A - 940
Class B - 610
Class C - 420
Class D - 100
Class E - 290
I felt a wave of confusion increase the already huge reservoir of confusion I had in my brain. Class E? Shouldn't there be only four classes? I looked around the class, which now looked more stunned than before, and it looked like people were torn between two different questions they wanted to ask. Even Hotaro-kun, who still had her head on her desk, was showing a curious look upon seeing the name of a Fifth Class.
Eventually, Hirata-kun questioned why the difference in our points was so great, to which Chabashira-sensei explained that we had been assigned from Grades A to D on the basis of merit, in other words, all defective students were placed in the highest grades. low, which created this discrepancy.
I couldn't help but be a little furious when I heard this. I had no doubts that I was an excellent student, I was sure I hadn't made any mistakes during the interview and I also got high marks in the entrance exam, I also look at Hotaro-kun who now seems to be dozing. But I'm sure he's very smart, after all, he pointed out things I hadn't seen before, he opened my mind, and although his lazy attitude is annoying, I can't help but think. What the hell are we doing in this class?
Chabashira-sensei then proceeded to explain how we could gain class points in other ways and be 'promoted' to a higher class if we surpassed them in points. But then, this raises another question...
"Excuse me, Chabashira-sensei, but why is there a fifth class written on the sheet? Wasn't it supposed to be just four?" I asked.
Chabashira-sensei just smiled. "Yes, although it's true that there are usually only four classes, this year is an exception. Class E is a special class made up of just ten students. All of these students were considered exceptional, even when compared to the best classified students in Class A. Because of that, a special class was created as an experiment, to see if a superior talent could overcome the disadvantages they face in terms of resources and social networks. You may have noticed that Class E has more points than you guys. That means that, starting tomorrow, all of you will be demoted to Class E, which is now the lowest class this year." I can see Hotaro-kun listening to this with curious eyes.
So the school decided to run a sort of test, using a small stream of students they considered to be far beyond the best of the rest of the student body. I was starting to get really irritated hearing about all these things, like ratings, when I was stuck in this class of misfits. Not only that, but we would be demoted from our position in the first month. It really was an irritating situation.
"A test class of 'exceptional' students, huh? They can't be that exceptional if they've already lost most of their class points." Koenji-kun spoke up, looking a little interested in the developments.
"As I said, we can not disclose how students are evaluated. However, let me assure you personally that the students of this class are far beyond any of you could ever dream of achieving. And I'm sure that at least one of them might give you some Koenji fun ." Chabashira-sensei added.
Koenji raised his eyebrows at what she said. That must be the biggest reaction he's had so far. After what Chabashira-sensei said, Koenji-kun for the first time since arriving in this room seems to be thinking about something seriously. What this might be, I have no idea. And why did Chabashira-sensei say this to him as if he expected something? I have no idea.
But after a while Koenji-kun seems to finally stop thinking and say something.
"If it really was a class of exceptional talents, then a perfect being like me should have been put there as well. So I've decided you're talking nonsense, sensei-chan. Besides... There's only one person in this world who could give me a suitable challenge for me. " Koenji-kun says returning to his petulant attitude as he rudely addresses Chabashira-sensei. But what he added last certainly surprised me.
I'm sure it wasn't just me. I can see Hotaro-kun with her head slightly raised. Koenji-kun has an attitude that says he's a perfect person. So he says there's one person who can give him some fun? The way he put it, it's like he's met someone he considers the same as him...
I really hope I never meet this person. If one is already that problematic, imagine two.
After that, Chabashira-sensei put the quiz results on the blackboard and drew a red line above seven of the students' names with a red marker. She explained that at this school, anyone who fails an exam will have to drop out, which has generated many wails of concern from my idiot classmates. This also generated a Koenji-kun joke saying.
"That's great, which means the monkey won't be in the same environment as me. It's really a relief, my perfect existence was starting to get infected by such an ugly person with an annoying voice."
Some people even thanked me for the fact that I approached the Class a while ago, after all, otherwise our class might not have gotten a single point. I just didn't say anything and said you don't have to thank me. He said if they really wanted that much, then stop being so stupid.
During the break, my classroom exploded into chaos. Hirata-kun and Kushida-san managed to calm the crowd down, but people were far from happy. I reviewed the notes I made about our class points and the like before deciding that I should visit Class E in person.
I quickly stop at a snoozing person's chair.
"Hotaro-kun." I call him. He doesn't say anything.
"Hotaro-kun..." I say again and nothing.
"If you don't wake up I will use my secret weapon." And the moment he said that he looked up.
"Which is?" He spoke with the same lazy tone as always.
"I'm going to visit Class E, do you want to come with me?" I ask.
"No thanks. This looks problematic."
"Don't you want to meet mysterious people?"
"Not."
I sighed at that. Your attitude really sucks. Well, let's go. And just as I would start to move a voice echoes throughout the Class.
"Hotaro Oreki, please attend Chabashira Sae's room - I repeat-" And then everyone in my class starts looking at Hotaro-kun.
Does Chabashira-sensei want to speak to him personally? What can it be? I really do not know...
"Ah... but what a bag." He speaks before starting to get up and leave the class with an unhappy face.
I was really curious to know what Chabashira-sensei wanted with Hotaro-kun, however, I had a place to go now.
However, when I was about to leave, I was stopped
"Horikita-san? Where are you going?" Kushida-san called me.
"I'm going to see Class E with my own eyes." I replied brusquely and moved to leave once more.
"Would you mind if I go with you? If there is a class we don't know yet, then I want to make friends with them!"
"It's not like I could stop you anyway, is it?" I replied rather coolly along with a tired attitude. I have no interest in the company of defectives like you, Kushida-san, you are very annoying.
"I also decided to go along, be happy. However, I will not allow anyone else to come with us. Such a large group would be a horrible existence. Enough of the ugly monkey infecting my perfect existence." Koenji-kun, the narcissist, decided to follow along. But I was really curious about it. Is he really interested in Class E?
I sighed and left the room with Kushida-san and Koenji-kun. No one really knew where the E-Class was located, which meant I would have to spend some time in the company of these two. What have I done to deserve this kind of divine punishment?
"So, Koenji-kun, are you that interested in Class E? After all, you decided to come with us." I try to start a conversation to pass the time, as I'll be with them for a while...
"Don't get the wrong idea. I just want to check something out ." he spoke mysteriously. Kushida-san seems to be curious about what he said.
"Check something? Well, whatever I guess." I said
"But you really saved us Horikita-san. If it weren't for you, we would probably have zero points this month." Kushida-san exclaimed.
"You guys are really flawed, huh? But it's too much of me to hope you guys can think like me." Koenji-kun spoke smiling. Kushida-san and I turned our eyes to him.
"What do you mean by that Koenji-kun?" I ask sharply.
"Ha! You can't cheat a perfect existence, Horikita girl. Don't think I don't know who the real person behind the class is that I haven't zeroed all the points." he exclaimed with conviction. Before I could say anything with my eyes I found two of the worst I could have encountered.
"Oh Suzune, are you maybe on your way to E-Class too?"
"Don't call me that, Ryuen-kun."
This disgusting man, Ryuen-kun, didn't seem to care about the girl he had left behind. She made her way over to us, the sound of her cane hitting the floor muffled by Ryuen-kun's boisterous voice. However, her smug smile didn't waver until she finally caught up with us.
"Fufu, it's quite an interesting meeting, isn't it?" she commented without an ounce of annoyance in her tone.
"No, compared to someone like me, you are all boring creatures. But willingly, I suppose I will grace you all with my presence and accompany you. Enjoy a perfect existence before you." Koenji-kun declared as arrogant as ever.
"That's interesting, don't you think Akeno?" Suddenly we all heard a new voice coming towards us. And when we turned around, we noticed two girls. A woman with blood-red hair together with another with black hair. The thing is, your breasts... don't seem to be real. What the hell is this? Is it possible to keep this size?
"Ara-ara, it looks like the kouhai are interested in the new first-year Class as well." The black-haired woman spoke.
"Is who the hell you guys would be?" Ryuen-kun spoke coldly.
"I'm Rias Gremory and this is Akeno Himejima, nice to meet you kouhais, we're 2-A class." She spoke with a smile. I'm already feeling disgusted here. What's up with these people? But she said something that caught my attention... Class A. I made up my mind that I would evaluate them myself later.
"Names of whores. Besides, are these things really real?" Ryuen-kun spoke blatantly pointing to things...
The two were just surprised by this.
"Ara-ara, it looks like little Kouhai-kun has to have a little respect for his senpais." The black-haired woman said.
"Respect my ass. You didn't do anything to earn my respect, so if you're done just get the hell out of here." Ryuen-kun said like he was getting annoyed at their presence.
"I think we really had to convince Kiryuin to come with us." The red-haired woman says. "Well, we can visit them another time, Akeno. Let's honor our Kouhai."
"What's that for ladies? Don't care what Dragon-boy says here, I can grace you with the presence of my perfect existence." I see Koenji-kun looking on with an arrogant smile as he says this.
"Who the hell is Dragon-boy here huh you narcissist shit?" Ryuen-kun exploded.
"Ara-ara, I think we'll have to pass, sir perfect existence-kun. After all, we're already looking for someone. And we have reason to believe he's from Class E. But we can visit them another time." The black haired woman says with her hand close to her mouth with a smile.
"That's a shame. However, if you decide to change your mind, and want to experience the perfect existence, I'm willing."
"Let's keep that in mind. Now if you'll excuse us." The red-haired girl says as she goes out with the other one.
"Let's talk another time Sakayanagi-chan." the black-haired woman says waving her hands.
"Of course, Akeno-senpai. I'm looking forward to it." she says.
"Experience the perfect existence?" I say fiercely but he just laughed.
"What's the matter Horikita girl? Everything you said is true. There's no reason for me to pay attention to irrelevant insects like you. However, if you really feel bad, I can grace you with my perfect existence too. But if you will. hold out is another story." I felt my eyebrow twitch at what he just said.
"Kuku, interesting conversation you guys are having, however Suzune, I think I'm better than the fake version of Charizard here." Ryuen-kun said, just to annoy me even more.
"Fake version? Don't make me laugh Dragon-boy, if I really was a fake, the beauties wouldn't be dancing all over me."
"Disgusting...you two are disgusting." I just say. I see that Kushida-san is just looking at this whole conversation without saying anything. She seems to be uncomfortable with it too. But the girl, Sakayanagi-san, seems to be just listening with a smug smile.
"Sorry to interrupt your little chat, but do any of you idiots really know where Class E is?" Sakayanagi-san asked with a smile.
"Who are you calling an idiot here, you fucking cripple?" Ryuen-kun spoke blatantly. However, she doesn't seem to have been affected by it. Koenji-kun just looked up with an arrogant smile but said nothing.
"I have an idea where it might be," replied Kushida-san with a cheerful smile, as usual. Looks like she got out of the discomfort of before. "I think it's upstairs."
"Fufu, upstairs? No student has ever had any reason to go upstairs." Sakayanagi-san commented with a weak laugh.
"Kuku, so that's obviously why no one has ever found them yet, isn't it? Try using your head a little bit, crippled princess ." Ryuen scoffed.
"At least my position is comparable to a princess, unlike you, Ryuen-chan, the boy who can't keep his class under control. Or should I now call you Dragon-boy?" She said with a smile.
"I see you like my nickname for your little friend here, but don't forget to leave the credits for me little Sakayanagi girl." Koenji-kun spoke amused.
"Of course not, Koenji. Don't worry about it, fufu."
"You are talking too much for my taste." Ryuen-kun spoke before looking at Sakayanagi and continuing.
"Besides, that was just when that bastard Lelouch took it upon himself to enter my territory. divided into a rival faction? I wouldn't call her a princess, but a crippled princess..."
"By the way, I think that bastard Lelouch must be Class E." Ryueen finished. Who is this Lelouch? By the way... now that I think about it, I haven't seen those three who have invaded my class before since that time.
Could they be in Class E?
I really hope not. I don't want to see them again. There was also this weird guy who didn't say anything and just watched everything. He actually looked pathetic.
"Instead of the kids arguing about who might be in Class E, how about we go see for ourselves? Their existences are hardly pretty. I have a date soon with a cutie, so how about we move that up?"
I briefly wondered if Koenji-kun really had a date or not. He was certainly popular with the girls, though I hated to admit it. But hadn't he tried those two before? He had a date and still hit on them? I really can't think straight...but, I think he just said that to shut them both up.
"Fufu, then why don't you lead the way, Perfect Existence-san?" Sakayanagi-san asked with her smile on her face.
"Of course. All of you should be ecstatic to be led by someone as big as me. Just make sure you can keep up, little Sakayanagi girl." With that, Koenji-kun started walking in front of us towards the end of the hallway.
We climbed the stairs and descended the corridor above at a fast pace, stealing glances at the various rooms we passed. As I expected, all the rooms on this floor were staff and utility rooms. No one would have any reason to believe there would be a classroom here.
We came to a corner, and when I turned around, I noticed the room. A simple classroom with just ten desks, its nameplate saying ' Class E' . Ryuen-kun and Koenji-kun also seemed to have recognized it immediately and Ryuen-kun smiled at the sight.
"Kuku, let's go in then?" Ryuen-kun nodded to the door.
A group of five people had just entered the classroom during break time, but the ten E-Class students just turned to look at us as if they were expecting a visit. So I crossed my eyes with someone so unexpected that I couldn't hide my surprise...
"A-Ayanokoji-kun?" I stuttered in disbelief. Well I should have guessed that. I mean, he hasn't been seen in any other classrooms either, I should have expected that. As I say this I can see two girls, one with blond hair that looks like a doll, and another very pretty girl next to him, they start looking at me with great intensity.
But something I didn't expect happened. Out of the corner of my eye I can see... Koenji-kun's eyes widening slightly, but as quickly as it happened, it's gone. I was very surprised by this. I looked in the direction he was looking, and that was exactly where Ayanokoji-kun was standing with the two girls. I really didn't get it. Was he surprised by the girls' appearance? I mean, they're really pretty.
"Horikite. What do you want?" he replied looking bored.
I composed myself and took a moment to scan the room. I looked from student to student, seeming to see who I recognized and what immediately leapt at them.
Ayanokoji-kun was sitting on the other side of the room, along with a very attractive girl with black hair that was a little blue in color...? And next to her is that blonde girl with green eyes, who looks like a doll.
I looked further around the room and found a raven-haired black boy with piercing amethyst eyes who seemed completely uninterested in our intrusion. Judging by his appearance and attitude, he was Lelouch-kun. He really was like that girl who kept talking Ara-ara. To his right was someone I didn't recognize. He had short brown hair and deep emerald green eyes. He also looked quite muscular, even when he was still wearing his clothes.
In the middle of the room was another student he didn't know. He had straight brown hair and brown eyes, and was twirling a pen in his hand. Sitting next to him was the strange looking person, who had come in with those two when they broke into our classroom and started calling us 'defectives'. He was sitting in an awkward posture, perched on the edge of his chair instead of sitting in it. He is certainly stranger than I had initially thought...
There was also that girl with brown hair and eyes. The same girl who made that crazy bet that could have made her lose all her points. She was just wearing that same smile. However... I will never forget that manic laugh of hers.
The two remaining students were the individuals who were with the strange boy, who had invaded my classroom, and proposed a game of cards. We had bet 10,000 points. If it wasn't for Hotaro-kun, I would have lost the points. Sora-kun and Shiro-san. The weird boy hadn't really introduced himself before, after all, he hadn't said anything when he'd entered our room. He was just watching.
"I just wanted to see this classroom." I finally answered your question.
"I see." He simply replied.
Looking at all these students and finally looking at Ayanokoji-kun... I can't help but think. He must be exceptional to be in this classroom. However, what does this feeling...? I didn't know why, but...
I definitely cannot become your enemy.
I think that when looking at him. I don't know why the hell I thought that. However, I feel I have to follow this, otherwise I will deeply regret it.
I started thinking about the many times I had met him. At the time, I wasn't really thinking, but looking at it now, I can see that he had given me a lot of tips before about how the S-System works. However, he didn't make anything explicit. He had been giving me tips from the beginning, and I didn't pay attention... if he had, it was likely that we would have had a lot more points than now.
"Looks like you all got a monster test score. I thought I was the only one in this school to get a perfect score."
I turned to look at the sheet on the blackboard that Sakayanagi-san was referring to and my eyes widened. I felt like I could Sora smile behind me as I stared at the scores pinned to the blackboard.
Ayanokoji Kiyotaka - 100
Shiro - 100
Sora - 100
Shiba Miyuki - 100
Yagami Light - 100
Yumeko Jabami - 100
Ryuzaki Rue - 100
Lelouch Lamperouge - 100
Victorique de Blois - 100
Kururugi Suzaku - 90
If I took my test here, I would have the lowest score in the class. I couldn't help but remember Chabashira-sensei's words. 'let me assure you personally that the students in this class are far beyond any of you could even dream of achieving.' I clenched my fist in annoyance.
"What's wrong, Horikita? You look a little irritated." Sora-kun's insulting voice sounded behind me.
"Did you say something, cheating player?" I snapped. In return he just laughed.
"Don't call me something I'm not. It was fair game. You just went blind, and fell into the trap, if you weren't that lazybones, I'd have 10,000 points more." He reminded me.
In fact, if it wasn't for Hotaro-kun, I would have probably lost 10,000 points... I can't help but be annoyed at your damn attitude.
"I'm still curious about something. I met two beauties, on our way here. They said they were already looking for someone who's probably from that bunch. But I see nine people who sure as hell aren't comparable to a perfect existence like me, so I wonder, which of you was it that caught the attention of such beauties?" Koenji-kun's voice echoes throughout the room.
I noticed immediately that everyone in the room aside from Shiro-san and that boy with the emerald green eyes raised an eyebrow at what he said. What exactly did get those analytic looks? Yes... he said nine, there are ten people in this class... so...
"By any chance, would these beauties be called Rias Gremory and Akeno Himejima?" The boy with straight brown hair comments with a mischievous smile.
"Exactly." Koenji-kun said.
"If that's the case, I think the person would be, Ayanokoji," the boy says with the same smirk. So we all turn to him who just looks at the situation in confusion. I can see the two girls beside him frowning at what their classmate said. What's going on here?
"Oh, I see, have you added them to your harem already, Boyfriend-kun?" Lelouch-kun speaks suddenly. I see the first girl with a smile that is sure to be forced. Meanwhile, the second is just looking annoyed. Harem? What the hell? Are they all perverts?
"How many times do I have to say? I don't own a harem, so stop saying I have one. You're just getting me in trouble. You said the same thing to our teacher, and because of that, she kept avoiding me. look in the eyes for a few days, remember?" Ayanokoji-kun speaks in a tone... annoyed? I'm really surprised now. He always looked the same with the same face, so seeing him pissed off is a surprise.
"Of course I remember. It was such a show." Lelouch-kun spoke with a smile.
"Lelouch-san..." And then I can feel the temperature in the room starting to get cold as I turn to look at the fountain. The same girl, who still had a forced smile, spoke in a dark voice.
"I thought I said it's not good to play with people too much, didn't I? You're pushing the envelope..." I can see Lelouch-kun starting to break out in a cold sweat.
"It's just a joke Miyuki, hahaha, I just wanted to see Ayanokoji's face, I'll be quiet." He speaks and then the aura starts to fade. So her name is Miyuki.
What the hell was that?
"Oh you have an interesting aura, I think you're the one who should have the title of ice princess, rather than the Horikita girl here." Koenji-kun speaks beside me, and I can't help but frown. Does he like to insult me? What's the problem with this narcissist?
"Koenji-kun, please don't bring more trouble." I see Kushida-san speaking for the first time since entering the room. Koenji-kun just shows her a smile that says ' you can't tell me what to do, boring woman' before saying.
"Please, I'm just stating a fact here. Besides, she's being praised for her perfect existence, so it must be an honor for her, I'm not sure Miyuki girl right?" Koenji-kun says with his cocky smile. I can see said girl raises an eyebrow.
"Existence...perfect?" She spoke confused.
"Exactly, I'm a perfect human being Miyuki girl." Koenji-kun bragged.
"Perfect human you say? It's a pretty bold statement to make, but can you back it up?" Sora-kun said with a slightly amused face.
"Don't tell me you consider yourself above me? Don't get cocky just because you nearly fooled my defective classmates with that card trick of yours, Sora-boy. that person is most certainly not you, player." Koenji replied with an arrogant laugh.
But I can see that several people raised eyebrows at his statement. He said the same thing in the classroom.
"Kuku, this is interesting Charizard-boy, who would that person be?" Ryuen-kun, who hadn't spoken once yet, joined in the conversation.
"It's not anyone you know Dragon-boy." He responded in kind.
"Do you think you could cheat me in a match, Koenji Rokusuke?" Sora challenged him suddenly. Eyes turned to him.
"Haha, obviously. Besides, even if I couldn't, it doesn't make me inferior to you. In fact, your mere games are the only things you're good at compared to someone like me who's superior at all. aspects, you're mediocre. In fact, I think you must be the weakest person in that class." Koenji-kun stated.
"Excuse me, Koenji, but don't you consider your flippant attitude a flaw in your supposed perfection?" The brown haired boy with emerald eyes next to Lelouch said. Based on the facts, I assumed he was Kururugi Suzaku-kun, that the girls in the other class talked so much.
"Hah? Of course not, don't be ridiculous. My attitude is just a reflection of my legitimate position at the top of the hierarchy." Koenji really seemed to believe everything he said.
"Kuku, is that it then? I thought this would be a class of people who could really entertain me, but you all seem average to me. Right, Sakayanagi?" Ryuen-kun said teasingly. But one person unexpectedly speaks.
"What do you mean Dragon-boy? How can you be absolutely sure? I agree they're pathetic compared to me. But you? How can you be sure one of them ca n't easily destroy you ?" Koenji-kun's response brought his full attention to himself. Ryuen looked like he wanted to say something, but Koenji-kun is faster and talks.
"I really thought I would find something interesting in this class. But most of you don't interest me." He says suddenly heading towards the door. And then he speaks again.
"I don't care about my class full of defective classmates, nor about future exams, however... if there is an exam where it is possible to solve this personally, I will really like to compete against you, after all, there can only be a perfect existence in the same location. Masterpiece ," he says mysteriously with arrogance before leaving the room completely.
Masterpiece? What the hell is he talking about? Is he talking about someone in that class?
I can see not only everyone in this Class, but also outsiders looking thoughtful at what he said. I could see Sakayanagi-san's eyes widening as she looked at the blackboard after he mentioned these phrases, but she quickly returned to normal. As she was looking at the blackboard, the people sitting at the desks didn't notice her look.
I can see that weird guy starting to look at all his classmates quickly like he's looking for something. I really didn't know what to say. This place just seems to have crazy people.
"Masterpiece? What did he mean by that..." I hear the blonde haired girl speak for the first time since I entered this room.
"From the way he spoke, it was clearly referring to one of us." Sora-kun said.
"I wonder who that person would be?" Ayanokoji-kun said with the same bored expression on her face.
"Masterpiece, huh?" Lelouch-kun muttered.
"I wonder who it is too..." The golden haired girl speaks, but I can see her looking at something, but I can't tell who it is. It's like she's an observer experienced in not letting other people detect that she's watching something...
"Kuku, that bastard seems to know something... well, damn it. I'm getting out of here. You guys aren't impressive to me."
"You're not Dragon-boy either" Lelouch-kun says using Koenji-kun's nickname with a mocking tone.
"Tch, you better watch out Lelouch, I'll crush your Class." He declared.
"You don't have the ability to do this." Victorique stated.
"Oh, is it really doll girl?"
"Why the hell does everyone call me a doll, huh? You shit boys are going to get screwed with that nickname!" She said clearly more irritated than usual.
"Looks like Victorique really got pissed off. It's the first time I've seen her tell someone to get screwed." The boy sitting in the awkward position said.
"I agree with you Ryuzaki." The boy with the straight brown hair agreed with him.
"Kuku, don't be annoyed doll, whether I can make it or not, we just have to wait and see, right?"
"I'll be waiting then, Tyrant-kun," Lelouch said, calling him another nickname. Seriously, does this kid like to give nicknames?
"Kuku, just wait, and I'll crush your Class." Ryuen-kun stated before leaving the Class.
I looked around and saw that Sakayanagi was still looking at the questionnaire. Strange... is she really that impressed with the perfect notes? I see that Kushida-san is trying to talk to her and bring her out of her stupor.
"Fufu, I must disagree with Ryuen. I found something interesting. Or rather someone, quite interesting thanks to this visit. I'm looking forward to facing your newly promoted Class D in the future." Sakayanagi basically punched me when I said those words, and then said goodbye.
I started to go out, it looks like Kushida-san was going to stay to try and make friends.
"I'm leaving, see you later Ayanokoji-kun."
"See you Horikita, I hope to see you again." When he said that I can feel he shouldn't have said those sentences. However, I didn't stay to find out why, so I said goodbye to Class E, and then I left.

Ayanokoji's Pov:
I quickly started walking back to my room. Thinking about today's events.
Koenji, said Masterpiece . She of course he was referring to me. But... how did he know that? Can he know about that place? If so, this is somewhat problematic. I'm really thinking my life is going to turn upside down.
There's also something else. I noticed that Ryuzaki, the moment Koenji said those words and left the classroom, he started looking quickly between our classmates. I really suspected that. I could feel his gaze assessing me. I took extreme care not to do anything to change my expression.
I even said something, trying to sound a little more natural, like I didn't know what Koenji was talking about. I was sure he hadn't gotten any reaction from me. However, I start to wonder...
Who exactly is Rue Ryuzaki?
I don't know why he kept watching us like that, but it sure is suspicious.
However, the key point is Koenji. I really don't remember seeing him before. So how is it possible that he knew me? Could he have visited that place? I find it difficult, however, not impossible. If he is from a family that has great power.
By the way, I think that man , had mentioned the name Koenji before...
While I was lost in thought my phone rang.
I take it out of my pocket, and again...
Unknown number.
Was it Tatsuya again calling me on another number? It's possible, after all, it could be a way for him to bypass the protection system by calling me on different numbers. But that's not possible, after all, Tatsuya, messed with my phone, leaving it completely unnoticeable in matters of the phones I receive. Well I just answered the phone, I'll find out for myself.
"[Are you enjoying your peaceful life, Kiyotaka?]"
I suddenly froze a little... it can't be. How... how did he get that number?
My mind ran through various thoughts of how he managed to contact me, but shouldn't I be so surprised due to his power?
"[So, won't your own father answer me?]"
"I never saw you as a father, and I know you never really considered me a son, so how about we avoid pointless conversations?" I say clearly annoyed.
"[You really look like your mother's pathetic.]"
The moment he said that, I felt my grip on the phone tighten a lot, but I quickly controlled myself, I can't break the phone. Even with all that, I still didn't say anything.
"[Stop playing games, and go back to the White Room at once, this is my last warning.]" I hear him say in a very dangerous voice that would probably scare anyone. Although...
"I don't care. I made a promise to my mother, a promise I intend to keep." I say coolly, in the same tone of voice.
"[Stop playing those silly games kid. You're just delaying your fate.]"
"Could be though, I don't care. I'll have my 3 years off and live as I want. I'll learn things I wasn't able to learn in the White Room." I said with conviction.
"[You...what could you learn in this useless school that you weren't capable of inside the White Room?]" He says completely annoyed.
"Oh, lots of things. Things I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. So I won't waste my time dictating these things to you, it's a pointless exchange of words." I just said.
"[Do you think you can be free for these 3 years? I will kick you out of this school.]" He threatens me. However, it is a vague threat.
"If you could, you would have done it a long time ago. The reason you didn't mean you can't mess with this school, so your threat is completely useless."
"[How can you be so sure?]"
"I don't. That's why it's a gamble. However, I'm willing to believe her."
"[You've definitely changed Kiyotaka. You and she are a bit alike. You both decided to go to the same place in order to escape...]" He said.
I narrowed my eyes at that... her? Who is he talking about?
"She? Who the hell are you talking about?" I ask curiously.
["Victorique de Blois. A member of your family left Europe and came to visit me, claiming that the girl had run off to the same school as you.]" He recounts information I didn't know.
Victorique...? Like this? Is she like me?
"Victorique...was she part of the White Room project?" I ask.
"[No, her situation is a little different. Plus, she's still a lot like you. The Blois used other methods.]" He said.
"I see..." and all I can say.
Right now, my mind is completely traveling between various thoughts about it. However, to something I want to know.
"I met someone named Koenji Rokusuke, I found the familiar name." I said.
"[Ah, Koenji's son, huh?]"
"Does he know about the place?" I asked what you wanted to know.
["Yes, after all, he and his father visited the White Room a few years ago. His son saw you through the glass, and it seems he was inspired by you."] He said in a...proud tone?
So, Koenji, you really know about the place, huh... that just makes it all the more troublesome. From the way he said it before, when there's an exam that somehow pits one person against another, I'm sure he'll come to me. But the fact that I worry the most is how Ryuzaki acted when he called me Masterpiece.
I absolutely can't let my colleagues come to the conclusion that it's me he was talking about. Although I think Victorique should be able to get to that somehow. Now, I have information that she went through at least something similar to me, so I truly believe she will come to that conclusion.
"Have you ever heard of someone named Rue Ryuzaki?" I ask suddenly. I can see it took him a while to find an answer.
"[Kiyotaka...]" I hear him speak, looking a little... tense?
"[I've never really heard of that name...but if he's who I think he really is, you have to be careful]," he said. Huh? How come you've never heard the name but think it's someone? How is this shit supposed to work?
"And would it be...?"
"[L. That's how he's known in agencies. He's known as L, the best detective in the world. If that person, Rue Ryuzaki, is really L, Kiyotaka, you have to be very careful.]" I hear him say sharply.
L, the best detective in the world, huh? This is interesting. However, if what he says is true, then he was sent to this school for some case. I can't imagine the person who calls the best detective in the world in a school just to play and have fun with friends. And your reaction when Koenji said that phrase just confirms everything.
"Well that's a problem, he's in my class." I just say.
"[What? Kiyotaka, come back immediately, that's an order!]" He speaks quickly over the phone in the same tone he used when ordering me around in the White Room.
"I refuse."
"[You don't understand what you're playing here!? You dare disobey my orders!?"
"Your orders were just orders, inside the White Room. I'm out so I don't need to follow those orders. And if you want to know my real opinion, I don't care a damn thing about what's at stake." I just say calmly. I see him getting annoyed on the other end of the line.
"[You're my Masterpiece...you'd better enjoy your school life while you can, Kiyotaka. And as long as you don't get kicked out, you'd better not let him find out about you.]" He spoke as if on command. I really didn't care what he said. Of course I would use my best skills to hide, but if I get caught, it means you get caught too.
Resulting in your defeat.
"[Did you hear me? All shit with Britannia wasn't enough lately, and you better not cause any more headaches yet, Kiyotaka.]" He said.
"I don't care, thanks for the info." I say this before hanging up the phone.
I just sigh at it. A lot of information was given to me. But this is something strange. Why did that man give me all this information? About Victorique and everything.
And the way he said it... ' as long as you don't get kicked out ' just confirmed everything. He wouldn't give this information away for free. He 's planning something . And I was absolutely sure of that. I know this person more than anyone else, although I hate this privilege.
Taking it all in, I quickly put down the things I need to do when collecting all this information. First, try to understand more about Victorique. If she's someone like me, she's a completely invaluable ally. I need her. How similar her past was to mine she must understand.
Second...
I need to be careful with Koenji Rokusuke and Rue Ryuzaki or rather L.
He's planning something...it may not be recent, but my dad definitely plans a way to get me out of this school. I promised my mother I would find happiness, and I intend to keep that promise, so...
If anyone dares to try to take this free life that I fought so hard to get...
Be it Britannia, White Room, L, or anyone else.
I challenge you to try.
I just challenge you to try it.
And when they try...
I will show them the abilities of a monster they cannot control.
The terror of your own creation.
