Pov de Ayanokoji:
"So who the hell are you, and what are you doing in my room?" I ask quickly as I look at her.
She just looks at me indifferently, before opening her mouth to speak.
"...Food first."
Is she trying to annoy me in any way? Because if so, it's doing it gloriously. I'm really confused here. At least, she so far doesn't seem to be some kind of threat. However, I can't let down my guard at all, as this could be some kind of act, but her way of speaking indifferently confuses me.
"You won't say anything unless I get you something to eat first, right?" I sigh and ask.
"Yes," she simply replies.
"Right. Wait a minute, and don't mess with my things." I say.
"Like your computer?" I stop short, and turn to face her. She had a mischievous smile on her face. She couldn't have seen it, right?
"Did you... mess with my computer?" I speak in a scary voice, however it doesn't seem to work for her as her smirk only seems to have grown bigger.
" ' What does harem mean', 'What is incest', 'What is Yuri', Seriously?" She speaks clearly mocking my research with a laugh.
"In my defense, I was born completely closed off from the world," I say.
"I know, if I'm not mistaken the name is White Room , right?"
I suddenly stop to start analyzing this woman again. She looks about 16 to 18 years old, my age. However, why do I feel, that she is older than she appears to be? But it's good that she left the topic of my computer. There are other things I researched that would be embarrassing to say here.
Also, the White Room, the way she spoke, she knows the name, however, it seems like she doesn't know exactly what's going on in that place. So that doesn't change the fact, who the hell is this woman? Well, I'll know as soon as I make her something to eat. If it had been on any occasion I would probably have freaked out a bit hearing someone say that name, however, after that man called, I started mentally preparing myself in case someone said that name, so that I wouldn't show any kind of flaw that they might notice. on my face.
"I would probably ask how the hell you know that name, but I don't think you'll answer me before you eat, right?" I say clearly in an annoyed tone to which she just smiles before speaking.
"Exactly. Can you make pizza?" Pizza, huh?
"No. I don't have the ingredients, and even if I did I wouldn't do it, due to the time it takes. It's quicker and easier to buy it ready-made, however I'm not buying it from you," I say coldly, I see that she made a ' tch ' sound but left it at that. I'm not meeting your tastes, as you don't want to answer what I want to know right away.
"What are you going to do then?" She spoke in an irritated tone.
"Hm... how about Sukiyaki?" I ask and she nods in agreement.
I then go into the kitchen, and start preparing the dish. While I was cooking the dish, I for some reason had a very strange thought. It was actually a very strange thing to think about, but still, I thought.
Why do I feel like I missed a useful tool?
About 40 minutes later I come back to the living room, and the woman is sitting there, waiting for the food. I make a sound for her attention, to say the food is ready.
"You took too long."
"If you're complaining, go to the kitchen and do the damn plate."
She picks up the plate and then starts eating some, so I decide to ask the first question.
"So can you tell me your name?"
"Can't wait for me to finish eating?" she speaks.
"Not." I completely deny it.
I really have to get information here, if only a few. The lack of them is completely killing me right now. A mysterious woman in strange clothes appears in my room, and demands that I make her food, if not, she won't tell me anything. I actually thought about going to report her to the authorities here, however, I think I'd better hear what she has to say, besides, she knows that place, even if it's only in name.
"Very well." She says while eating some of the food, and then she finally answers my question.
"My name is CC " Huh?
CC? What the hell does that mean?
"Is that a name?" I ask with a raised eyebrow at her.
"It's rude to say that from a woman's name." She tells me. "Well, in my defense, your supposed 'name' is two equal letters. How the hell do you actually pronounce that? Literally the letter C?" I ask. And she seems to have taken a bit of offense at that.
Well you can't blame me, woman. After all, this is the first time in my life I've seen someone's name be two damn letters alike. What should I say in this situation? Your name is beautiful? It suits you? Of course not, after all, this isn't pretty at all.
I'm sure that's not really your name. So she basically gave me a code name. Meaning, she doesn't want to tell me her real name. Shouldn't I have the right to know at least that? I mean, I am the person who was invaded here, the normal thing would be for her to at least grace me with her name.
However, I didn't mention it. Something tells me it's something I shouldn't touch. So I just ignored it. At least for a while. I must get information.
"Very well. Start by telling me who you are, and what the hell you're doing in my room. You better be convincing, or I'll call the authorities," I assert.
The woman just looks at me, before eating some more food and getting ready to answer my question. I can see your eyes are a little hesitant. Did something bad happen?
"I'm a prisoner of Britannia. This outfit you're looking at is the one they give prisoners," she begins.
Prisoner of Britannia, huh? If I'm not mistaken, hadn't they retreated? They tried to invade us at first, but they barely failed. This is the incident that has shaken the whole world recently. But is she their prisoner? If that's really the case, how the hell did she manage to get away? Or rather, how the hell did she get here?
"You're probably wondering how I got away," she said. She guessed my thoughts. "Let's say, I really don't want to go into detail how I got it. More let's say it was due to the help of some terrorists ." She added.
Terrorists, huh? That's interesting though, I feel like there's something a lot more to it.
"I spent a lot of time running under their radar. And they couldn't just go into an area with a lot of people, or it would be suspicious. And then I found someone who helped me."
The fact that they helped her is predictable. Although...
"The person who helped you didn't give you at least a pair of decent clothes?" I ask curiously.
She looks at me before looking at her outfit and then answering me.
"He was out of time. So he just gave me the location of this place. He told me, here, I would be fine."
I understand. Someone helped her, and because she says 'he', it means it was a man. Did he tell her the location of this school? But that doesn't answer the fact that she came to my room. I also have another question in mind. How did she get past the cameras that are in various places? It's impossible for her not to have gone through at least one.
"Is who that person would be? From the way you said it, it's safe to say it's a man."
"Actually, it's actually someone you know," she said.
Huh? Anyone I know? The way she said it... I can only think of one person.
"Who was?" I ask her.
"His name was Matsuo I'm not mistaken... he was your butler, right?" She says calmly.
Matsuo, huh? In fact, he was the person who helped me the most when I was on the run. And as if helping me wasn't enough, he helps someone else... but I still have to be careful. There's no way of knowing if it's not some plan by that man, using Matsuo's name, to try something against me. I must look at everything carefully.
However, if what she says is really true, then I have to know why.
"Yes. he was though, answer me something. You said you were a prisoner of Britannia, so tell me, why were they keeping you?" I ask looking at her deeply, with a look that seemed to pierce someone's soul. However, she did not submit to my gaze.
Interesting.
"I wanted to know too. They were experimenting on me, things I don't want to remember," she says with a bitter tone.
However, I am sure of one thing. She is lying. Not in the second part though, the first... how could she not know why they were keeping her? She just said they were experimenting on her though, what kind of experiments? It's impossible for her not to know exactly why they were keeping her. But, looks like she doesn't want to tell me yet.
"Okay, about the fact that Matsuo helped her, can you prove it?" I ask her. I know a lot of Matsuo. Even if he was tight and out of time, he would leave something for her. Something that would confirm that she had his help for me. Anyway, if he sent her here, he must have done it with the intention of me helping to protect her. But why?
She suddenly looks at me and nods her head before reaching into a part of her outfit, then pulls out what appears to be a letter. It was actually two cards.
"This first one is from Matsuo, the second one he said was written by his mother," I suddenly freeze at those words.
Letter from my mother? How is this possible? She died a long time ago. Unless she wrote this before she died? I quickly shake my head out of my thoughts. I will look at Matsuo's letter first. My mother's, if it's really hers, I'll read it when I solve this whole matter with CC
I take the two letters, put my mother's in the drawer, and then start opening Matsuo's letter. And then after opening it I start reading its contents.
[Hello young master, this letter will probably be short as I am writing in a hurry. However, I found this girl who claims to be CC running away, when I asked from what, she told me it was treated like an experiment, and it reminded me of you. That's why I decided to help her, and I told her about the school you're at. I know you've just won your freedom, however, I would like to ask you to protect this girl, because like you, she doesn't seem to have had a very good life.
President Sakayanagi, who owns the school you're at, knows about the White Room, which is why I recommend you tell him about CC, but tell him she was an experiment in the White Room, and make up a story out of it. I really hope you are enjoying your free life, young master. I also gave CC a letter that your mother had written before she died, and only now have I had the opportunity to give it to you, as I was being watched while taking care of you.]
I quickly start to absorb everything I read. Looks like Matsuo really helped her. I know his handwriting, and in fact it belongs to him. There's also my mother's letter, but I'll just read it when all this is resolved here.
Looks like CC said the same things she said to me to Matsuo. She didn't really say much about herself, however, if it's Matsuo's request, I can do it. Thanks to him, I was finally free and able to pursue the goal my mother wanted me to pursue. And knowing Matsuo, he wants me to help CC with the same thing, since it seems she didn't have much freedom. Well, she was a prisoner, of course she wasn't free. And then there's the fact that they're doing experiments that I don't know what they are, as she refuses to say.
And it also had some very useful new information. The fact that President Sakayanagi knows about the White Room. If that's true, then he's on my side? I mean, if he had been on my dad's side, he would clearly have refused me admission to this school. The reason I scored 50% on everything was to get the attention of the superiors. However, if he knew about the White Room and was conspiring with my father, he would have turned me down.
So in fact, contacting President Sakayanagi is the safest choice. And then tell a story of CC being from the White Room. The reason he suggested this is probably to play it safe. To say that she is a prisoner of the British could cause him to reject her, and then her escape would have been futile.
I quickly look at her, and see her looking at me expectantly.
"Will you help me?" She asks a little anxiously. Well I can't blame her.
"Yes. If it was Matsuo who asked me to take care of you, I intend to help. After all, it's thanks to him that I'm free after all."
"I see...he told me the best choice would be you." She told me.
However, I can't help but think there's something more to it. Something she's been hiding. Clearly, Matsuo said I was the best choice, as I could probably protect her. However, I don't think she came to me just because of that. There's something else.
I get the impression that she was already planning to come to me from the start.
"There is a problem though," I say drawing his attention to me.
"Problem?" She asks.
"Yes. He told me to ask President Sakayanagi for help, as he knows the White Room."
"Is it okay to ask him for help?" She asks tilting her head.
"Well... he didn't leave his contact for me to talk to him..."
"..."
"..."
"I see..." was all she said.
I don't really blame her. I mean, Matsuo, how the hell can you forget the most important thing here? I know you probably shouldn't have a lot of time left, but still...
"I think I'll have to appeal a little," I say to myself.
"What you mean?"
In response, I just pick up my phone and start typing a number, and then I gesture for her not to say anything. She seems to understand, and then the phone starts to ring, until after a while someone finally answers it.
"[It's a surprise, I didn't expect you to call so soon, Kiyotaka]" The voice on the other end greets me.
"Well, urgent things have come up, I need your help, Tatsuya," I say in a tone that doesn't want to waste time.
"[What happened? Is it a problem with Miyuki?]" he asks worriedly.
"No, it's not Miyuki. It's something of mine, but I really need your help." I tell him so he can make sure it has nothing to do with Miyuki. I can hear a sigh of relief on the other end of the line before he starts talking to me again.
"[Okay, what do you need?]" he asked.
"Can you find President Sakayanagi's contact? I need to speak to him urgently." I get straight to the point.
"[That's the name of the owner of the school you're not? I can ask though, why do you need his contact?]"
"Something that needs his help has come up. It's something I can risk at school. So I need to talk to him." I say, not responding fully. He must understand that I don't really want to talk about it.
The reason I asked him to find his contact is because he has connections to the military, but he doesn't need to appeal to that. He's really good with technology, so he should be able to figure it out. He also told me that he tried to hack into my files when we spoke on the phone the first time, however, as expected, he failed.
I was really surprised when he told me he had connections to the military, and since he couldn't hack into my files even with that connection, I'd think he'd be wary of me around his sister. However, this was not the case. I'm really having some weird people come into my life. And now again, another one has just entered. I think looking at CC watching my silent phone interaction.
"[Okay, I think it should take a few minutes. I'll email you his contact information when I find out.]"
Just a few minutes? He really seems to have a lot of confidence in tech matters, huh.
"It would be a lot of help. Thank you, Tatsuya."
"[No problem, Kiyotaka. Now I'm going to hang up and start my magic.]" He speaks and then hangs up.
"Who was?" CC asked.
"Someone I can trust. At least for now," I say, and I see her raising her eyebrow at the way I say it.
"I see...what are you going to say?"
"I'll send him to my room. More precisely at dawn, so as not to draw unnecessary attention. I'll say it's urgent, and he'll have no choice but to come." I say.
If the school president is seen coming into a student's room in the middle of the night, it can generate some suspicions and arguments. So I want to avoid that. First I need to get in touch with him.
And then, after about 15 minutes, an email is sent from my cell phone. I quickly start accessing the email. I look at the president's contact information, and write it down. However, there was a message Tatsuya had sent under the contact information. She said.
" I hope you are using my gifts wisely ."
"Got?" She asked me.
"Yeah, wait a moment, I'll call him. Don't say anything."
"Yes, yes I know, just get going." She responds impatiently. Looks like she doesn't like being quiet like that.
I start entering the number into my cell phone, and I call the president. I really hope he's not doing anything important right now. Then, after a few minutes, he finally answers the call.
"[Who speaks?]" the voice I recognized as Headmaster Sakayanagi asks.
"Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, I know you know who I am, after all, you accepted me at this school, am I wrong?" I say and see he's been quiet for awhile before starting to talk again.
"[Professor Ayanokoji's son, huh? Yes, I accepted you. But what was the reason for this call, and how did you get my number?]" The voice sounded a little nostalgic in the first part.
"It's an urgent matter, Headmaster Sakayanagi. Can you come to my room at dawn?" I'll cut to the chase without answering your second question.
I can see him making sounds like he's thinking deeply. In fact, if the director were seen wandering around, it would be weird. That's why I chose the dawn period, to try and lower the chances of him being seen.
"[Is it really that important that you have to see me in person?]" he asks in a completely serious voice.
"Yes. It has something to do with the White Room" I respond in the same tone, already basically telling him that I know he knows about the White Room. He seems to have been a little surprised by this, by the sound he made.
He seems to be thinking again, before finally fulfilling my demands.
"[Okay, around 1:00 in the morning, okay?]"
"Yes, it's perfect, thank you President Sakayanagi." I speak gratefully.
"[No need to thank me, I'm curious what you want to talk about.]"
"You'll be completely surprised," I say looking clearly at the woman in front of me, to which she responds by showing me the tongue of her mouth. Strange, what did I say wrong? Is this a normal gesture?
"[Okay, I'll be there at 1:00 AM]"
"I see, I'll wait sir," I say and hang up the phone.
"Alright then?" She asks me.
"Yes, he's coming here at 1:00 am, so until then we'll wait." I say as I look at the time. Around 9 pm, huh. I still have about 4 hours until Director Sakayanagi's visit.
I quickly start to straighten up and tuck my cell phone into my pocket. I get up and head towards the door.
"Where are you going?" She asked me.
"I'm going to buy you some drinks, do you want one?" I say.
"I can't go with you?" She just asks me, to which I look at her blankly.
"Like this?" I say pointing to her clothes. Seriously, did she really want to come with me like this? What will they think if they see a girl walking with a boy at 9 pm in a white straitjacket?
"Very well...yes I will want something." She tells me to which I just nod my head and then start to leave. Then I hear your voice as you're about to open the door.
"Don't be too long. It's rude to make a lady wait." She says.
I just turn a little towards her before shooting back.
"Although I admit that you are indeed very beautiful, something tells me you would fit the term witch more ." I answer.
I look at her, and instead of the insulted reaction I'd expected her to show by calling her that name, she actually flashed me a smile like she'd been given a compliment? Did she expect me to say that? Strange...
I just open the door, and then start to leave, before closing the door completely, but first I say.
"Didn't leave here at all."

Two hours earlier.
Pov de Lelouch:
19h:
I was walking around thinking about the group conversation we had. We decided that Sora should be the one who would try to join the student council as a way of trying to start separating a bit from Shiro. She's already making progress with the girls, even though she still wanted to be in Sora's company. So it's good to try to get Sora to make some progress too.
Strangely, everyone was in the group conversation. All but one... Ayanokoji.
He was the only one who wasn't in the group conversation, I found this very strange, of course he is not required to participate in anything, and that maybe he was solving something. However, I can't help but think that something is happening here.
Going back to the previous topic and forgetting about why Ayanokoji wasn't in the group conversation, if Sora manages to join the student council, we'll have some useful information missing.
I arrived at the destination vending machine a few minutes later. There, I was about to enter the code for a water bottle when I noticed something peculiar out of the corner of my eye.
I see... Kushida heading in the opposite direction from the main campus, heading to some place that looks empty. This was weird, what could she be doing? Even though it's not too late, it's still around 7pm, so I can't help but think there's something weird here.
Kushida was someone who, when he came to visit our class, started to say that he wanted to be friends with everyone, I personally found this action very strange. Why do you ask? I don't believe in this 'I want to be everyone's friend' thing, clearly there's something behind it.
I forgot the drink I planned to get and started following Kushida, being careful, following her from afar trying not to let my presence become present as best I could, as stalking is not one of my best skills.
Why was Kushida purposely going to such a deserted area? Well, I would find out soon enough. Kushida finally reached his destination, and I was behind a pretty big bush even. How convenient. I started to peek out of the bush, showing as little of my face as I could.
And then...
"Ahhh, so boring!"
Her voice was so low it didn't even sound like that cheerful girl she showed everyone.
"He's really annoying! Very annoying. It would be better if he just died ..."
She muttered to herself, as if chanting the words of some kind of spell or curse. Who could she be talking about?
"Ugh, I hate people like him. He's just like that bitch Horikita. Who does he think he is, despising everyone while sleeping like he doesn't care? Someone like him couldn't be a good tutor, did he to be that bitch Horikita to choose him..."
Kushida was clearly upset with someone. She mentioned tutor and ' sleeping like I couldn't care less ', I just knew someone, or better just picking up Sora's characteristics about a certain slacker in Class E, if I'm not mistaken his name is Hotaro Oreki. Is she seriously so pissed off at him that she's swearing at him? She is also calling Horikita a bitch, however...
"All people like you are the same, bastards who despise everyone. You're the worst, the worst! Ahh, you're so annoying!"
So that's what Victorique meant by ' she wears a mask' , huh? Interesting.
In this case...
I picked up my phone and, making sure Kushida couldn't see the glowing screen, I opened the camera app. This can provide a very useful leverage when we need to destroy Class E. Having someone like Kushida forced to work for me. I just see it as something beneficial.
I pointed the front camera at the scene, the recording would be much more incriminating if the audio were also accompanied by video evidence of Kushida's attitude. I moved my thumb over the start recording button.
!
So careful to make sure I wouldn't be located that I completely forgot to turn the phone down. As a result high frequency sound was emitted when I started recording. Kushida tensed and stopped breathing. And then she screams.
"Who's there!?"
I sigh at that. I put my phone in my pocket, however, I still record the audio. I quickly put my hand in my other pocket and after making sure... I take my hands out of my pocket and start stepping out of the bush.
"I ended up getting lost on the path of life, sorry to bother you." I say stepping out of the bushes with my hands up, clearly in a mocking tone with a smile.
Kushida quickly starts walking towards me, she clearly ignored my joke. And when she got close to me she lifted her head so I could see her eyes.
"You heard?" she asked.
"Obviously so, bitch-chan," I assert bluntly with my smile still on my face.
"I see..." She said in a very dangerous voice. She seemed to ignore the fact that I blatantly called her a bitch. Seems like she's totally focused on the fact that I heard her.
But everything was going according to plan. Finishing here, I will have a completely top quality piece.
She started to put her face closer to mine, and then she started.
"If you tell someone what you just heard, I won't forgive you."
His words were icy and I didn't think they were a useless threat.
"Tell me you're a bitch for the whole school? That sounds interesting, what would they say, Kushida the famous friend maker, is actually the biggest two-faced bitch you could ever meet." I answer back.
"Don't test me..."
"Oh and what are you going to do?" I ask with a smirk with a mocking tone, clearly pissing her off on purpose.
"In that case, I would tell everyone that you raped me."
"Rape accusation, huh? That's a pretty bold throwing thing actually. However, it would still be a false accusation."
Also if you try to play with me you might regret it.
"Fine. It wouldn't be fake."
His words had weight and power, which gave off their deadly aura. As she spoke, Kushida grabbed my wrist and slowly opened my hand. She pushed my palm against her soft breast.
"!"
I am quickly surprised by such action before returning to normal looking at her, and then asking.
"What are you doing bitch-chan?" I spoke in a slightly surprised tone, but still keeping the mockery.
"Your fingerprints are on my clothes. That's proof of my claim. I'm serious, understand? I'd even make a deal with the devil himself if necessary to prove it."
Agreement with the devil, huh? Very well, I hope you don't regret it.
"Are you going to let go of my hand?"
"I asked, do you understand?" Kushida asked aggressively.
She made no move to release me and we stood there looking at each other for a while while she kept her hand pressed against her. Eventually I decided to make my move.
"I think you're enjoying my hand on your chest a little too much, huh? I really am, but I didn't think you were that perverted, bitch-chan." I said.
"Huh?"
I started to use my free hand, and then I took my phone out of my pocket, Kushida seemed to understand what I was doing, and then I started to replicate the audio.
If you tell someone what you just heard, I won't forgive you
Telling you you're a bitch to the whole school? That sounds interesting, what would you say, Kushida the famous friend maker, is actually the biggest two-faced bitch you could ever meet
Don't test me...
Oh and what are you going to do
In that case I would tell everyone that you raped me
She desperately tried to snatch the phone out of my hand, but I quickly pulled away and showed her his screen clearly.
"A single click, and then it will be revealed on the school forum that actually the kind and friendly Kushida is actually a complete two-faced bitch. What would happen to you if that happened?" I speak with my victorious smile to her.
Given the way Kushida acts, this is a secret she doesn't want anyone under any circumstances to know, and if anyone found out, she would probably try to get that person out of school, however, she clearly didn't expect my move at all. True, I thought that was pretty dumb of her. I was clearly smiling the entire time as she spoke, how the hell didn't you suspect something was up?
However, with that it is done. Your intelligence agency is basically the only thing Class D lacks. Even though we have Miyuki, and she is quite popular, she doesn't compare to Kushida, who has acquaintances in all Classes, meaning she is an invaluable piece for me.
Kushida then started to cry out completely as I turned probably her biggest fear into reality. I effectively had her life in my hands, so she couldn't help but stand there completely, after all, a single threat from her and I would press the button that would release the audio recording for everyone.
But of course, I didn't intend to do that.
So I start talking.
"From now on, you will do whatever I say without question. You will follow all my orders to the letter, am I understood?"
"Tt-all orders? What makes you think I'm going to agree to this?" Kushida tried his best to look strong even though he was completely crying.
"Oh don't worry, I don't want your body or anything like that, I can find better ones. Besides, you clearly said didn't you? Besides if you're obedient enough, I'll let you delete the recording from my cell phone. " I speak a little louder.
She starts to sob completely, but the fact that I said I didn't want her body and that I would let her erase the recording from my cell phone made her relax a little. When you are completely desperate, you tend not to pay much attention to the words, wanting to end the threat that poses you quickly. And then she speaks.
"And I said?" She asked which I just smile majestically before speaking.
"You said you'd make a deal even with the devil himself , to protect your secret, didn't you? So I'm here, so tell me, what's your answer, bitch-chan?"

Pov de Ayanokoji:
I bought two juices from a vending machine in the lobby and went back to the elevator.
"Hmm?"
I could see that the elevator had stopped on the seventh floor. Curious, I decided to take a look at the CCTV, which showed what was happening inside the elevator. I saw Horikita, still dressed in her school uniform.
"Well it's not really that I need to hide but..."
Where could Horikita be going so late at night? I hid behind the vending machine. Horikita reached the first floor.
Looking suspicious of her surroundings, she left the building. After she disappeared into the night, I followed her. However, I instinctively hid again after I rounded the corner.
Horikita stopped midway. I felt someone else was with her.
"Suzune. I didn't think you would follow me here," he said.
Had she left at night to meet some guy?
"I'm very different from the useless girl you met, nii-san. I'll catch up with you."
"Catch me up, hmm?"
Nii-san? In the dark? I couldn't see the person she was talking to. Was she seeing her older brother? Could it be one of those things I learned from Internet-sensei? What was the name... a yes, incest . Could this be it?
"I hear you were put in Class D and then demoted within the first month. I assume nothing has really changed in the last three years. school was a mistake."
Could he be talking about her superiority complex? In my opinion, even if it is little, it has evolved. However, she has to realize that alone it will be impossible to stay in this school and fight with the other Classes.
"That...you're wrong about that. I'll show you. I'll get to Class A right away, so-"
"It's useless. You'll never make it to Class A. In fact, your class will probably fall apart soon. Things at this school aren't as simple as you think."
"I will definitely reach-"
Brother Horikita approached her. From my hiding place, I could see him clearly.
It was the president of the student council, Horikita. He showed no sign of emotion. It was like he was looking at an uninteresting object. He grabbed his younger sister by the wrist... she offered no resistance, and pinned her against the wall.
"No matter how much I try to avoid you, the fact is you are my little sister. If people around here found out the truth, I would be humiliated. Leave this school immediately."
I see, this is his game, huh? He wants to make his sister discover her flaw quickly, however, she is too blind to her brother's fixation, from what I see.
"II can't do this..."
"How incredibly stupid you are. Do you want to relive the pain of the past?"
"Nii-san, me..."
"You don't have the skills or qualities necessary to reach Class A. Put that in your head."
I quickly put my hands in both my pockets, and then after I'm sure, I take them off.
He moved forward, as if to act. The situation seemed fraught with danger. Resigned to facing Horikita's anger, I jumped from my hiding place and went after her brother.
Before he knew I was there, I grabbed his right arm, which he was using to trap his sister.
"What? You..." He looked down at his arm and slowly turned to me with an intense gleam in his eyes.
"A-Ayanokoji-kun?!" Horikita spoke in surprise.
"You were about to throw your sister to the ground, weren't you? You know the floor here is concrete, correct? You may be brothers, but you should know the difference between right and wrong."
"Stealth eavesdropping is not a very admirable quality," he said.
"Not the violence either, Mr Student Council President-kun, let her go," I say quickly. And then I realize what I said. Looks like I'm picking up on Lelouch's quirks at giving nicknames. I've never added a suffix to someone's name, but I can see the Horikita frowned at what I said.
"I'm just teaching my stupid little sister a lesson, if violence is needed then so be it."
"Stop it, Ayanokoji-kun," said Horikita, her voice strained. I had never heard her talk like that before.
Reluctantly, I let go of your brother. Instantly, he tried to backhand me in the face. I instinctively took a step back, throwing my body together to avoid him. For such a skinny guy, he was a nasty aggressor. He then aimed a hard kick at my unprotected spot.
"Caution!" Horikita shouted.
He had the strength to knock me out with one blow. Looking a little confused, he exhaled deeply, reached out with his right arm, and opened his hand.
If I grabbed his hand, he'd probably knock me to the ground. Or that's what he would expect.
I grab his hand, and as expected he uses the force to knock me to the ground, however, I use the force of my body in the right place to flip the air, and then land in a crouch standing in front of him.
"!"
He looked taken aback for a moment, however, still crouched with my back completely to him, I quickly elbowed him in the stomach with considerable force.
"Arg!"
Wasting no time, still with my back to him with the same hand I used to elbow him with, I get up hard and then with the back of my hands I smack him in the face throwing him backwards in the process.
"Nii-san!"
Are you seriously worried about him after what he did?
I quickly turn to him, and without wasting any time I run with a straight kick, he looked surprised, but still managed to grab my left leg, and when he grabbed it, I used the extra momentum to lift myself off the ground, twist my body. and kick his head with my other leg. He, although surprised, managed to defend with difficulty, but it took time to release the leg he had grabbed. And then, still in the air, I did a 360° turn to position the leg he had released to kick his head.
"Ugh!" he exclaimed falling back.
"Nii-san!" Horikita went to her brother running, and then started to help him up.
He starts looking at me holding his head while I was indifferent.
"That's not normal... what do you practice?" He asks with a tone surprised by what I just did, but clearly with the pain he's feeling in his head. I just respond indifferently.
"Piano and calligraphy, along with the stock movies I've seen." I am also proficient in all the martial arts you may know about.
And then there's the fact that I've already been trained by the best assassins out there, but that's beside the point here.
"I see...you sure are different." He said with disdain.
This was the perfect time, I didn't think the situation was going to happen that soon. It's an opportunity I won't miss.
"A million points." I spoke attracting your attention.
"What?"
I pulled out my cell phone and started showing the audio I had taken.
Secret listening is not a very admirable quality
Neither does violence, Mr Student Council President-kun, let it go
I'm just teaching my stupid little sister a lesson, if violence is necessary then so be it
"Are you blackmailing me with an audio?"
"That's exactly what I'm doing," I state flatly.
"What are you doing Ayanokoji-kun?" Horikita asked me beside her brother.
"What your brother said, I'm blackmailing him for points."
"What do you think I'm going to give you? An audio isn't enough proof."
"Of course not. However, you're the student council president, so I'm sure you won't risk tarnishing your reputation. And then there's the fact that I'm being quite generous here," I assert.
"What do you mean generous?" Horikita asked like I was crazy.
"Your brother is president of the student council, I could ask for $5 million to $10 million, and I would still be sure he would pay. But the fact that I only ask for $1 million is generous."
"This is absurd-" Horikita was speaking when her brother interrupts.
"Very well. Come over here to start the transfer." He talks ignoring his sister, which I answered, and then I showed the information, and he transferred me 1,000,000 points. Adding to what I had, I now have about 1,102,510
"You're interesting, what's your name?" He asks me though, something tells me he already knows my name. But still, I say.
"Ayanokoji Kiyotaka."
"Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, huh. How long has it been since you were taught?" He asked me with genuine curiosity as he had his hand on his head.
This time, I decided to answer him honestly, after all, he didn't ask what art I know.
"For about 13 years now," I replied.
"So, since you were about two or three years old? It's a ridiculously young age to start fighting."
Well, go say it to their faces.
"I think it's normal though."
"Right..." he replied, still suspicious.
"You're in that 'experimental class' aren't you? I must say I was very surprised to hear about this. Is this boy your friend, Suzune?"
"And I do not know." She responds in a way that surprises me and your brother together.
That's not like her. I could have sworn she would say I'm just a classmate or something. I mean, we barely talk. What caused this change in attitude? However... if it continues like this, Class E, will have some fight with our Class.
"I would like you to consider me my friend though," I told her as she glared at me.
"So...I guess...yeah?" She responds to her brother with doubt.
Really your face is something that is priceless. His bewildered expression... surely, this must not be something Horikita says. Nowhere near for him to show such perplexity.
"I see..." he starts adjusting his glasses. Seriously, how did I not break them?
"Maybe you have salvation, Suzune." He said.
"Huh?" She spoke in shock, but he was already leaving.
"Things will get more interesting with you around, Ayanokoji." He speaks waving goodbye.
I look quickly at Horikita and see her frozen looking at the place where her brother disappeared. It seems his words came as a shock to her.
"Horikite," I call to her.
"Eh, yes, Ayanokoji-kun?"
"We're friends?"
"Eh... didn't you say you wanted to be my friend?"
"I...yes, I did." Man, this was weird in a way that didn't make any sense.
I quickly go to the machine, and get the 2 drinks I was initially planning to get, as the previous ones are no longer possible to drink. I took too long, CC is clearly going to complain about it.
"Horikite," I draw his attention.
"Yes?"
"Why do you think you were initially placed in Class D?"
"Huh? I...don't know."
"Seriously?" I speak looking at her. She just nods. I sigh. I'll give you some help, just because you've considered being my friend.
"Don't you think that your attitude, that you think you're better than everyone else, and that people are going to bother you, isn't what made you fall into Class D?" I tell her.
"Me..."
"Think about it. Now, I really need to leave, I'm sleepy," I tell a lie. I won't sleep anytime soon.
I then walk away leaving her in her inner thoughts.
First a squatter in my apartment, and now a squabble with the student council president... though I got a fair number of points. I still can't stop thinking...
That some being from beyond is doing this on purpose, making my life problematic like this.
xXx
"You remember, what you have to do, right?" I ask.
"Yeah...you've asked that 5 goddamn times," she replied irritably.
"I just want to be sure."
I speak looking at the girl, who is now wearing one of my clothes. We can't let the director see that outfit of hers, he'll be suspicious.
When I had arrived, as I had predicted, she complained that I took too long, however, I gave a brief summary of what happened, and then after a while, she let it go.
We spent the next few hours thinking about what we were going to say to President Sakayanagi, and then the time to meet finally arrived. 1h.
After a few minutes, someone knocks on my door, and then I look at CC to which she nods. And then I take a deep breath, and open the door, and behind it is the man known as the Headmaster of this school. (I don't know what it looks like, I don't even remember if they describe it. It's been a long time since I read the novel, so I won't describe it now, if you know, let me know so I can edit it.)
"Hello Headmaster." I salute.
"How's it going Mr. Ayanokoji?"
"Call me Ayanokoji, just please."
"Very well, Ayanokoji. So what do you want to talk about that is so important?" He asks.
I just gesture to him to enter the room, and then following my gesture, he starts walking, until he finds the point of my conversation.
"Who are you?" He clearly asks the woman sitting on my bed.
"My name is CC" She says, and he just raises an eyebrow before looking at me.
"I said it was something related to the White Room, right? She, like me, is someone who managed to get away," I said.
"That's weird. I never saw you there," he replied.
We were well prepared for that.
"That's because she was part of a different experiment. Clearly not pleasant , if you ask me. Only a few people knew about it, so no wonder you don't know about it." I said emphasizing the words 'not pleasant', so he'd understand she didn't want to talk about it. And she makes an act that she was scared just thinking about such experiments.
Her acting is very good. I couldn't help but think after seeing almost tears coming out of her eyes. Looking towards the director, I can see that he doesn't seem to show much concern, but clearly, he's a little sad about her situation.
"And what are you suggesting?" He asked me going to the topic.
"Of course, I would like you to keep her here at the school..." I say.
I see the man clearly thinking about what he's going to say. Then after a few minutes of thinking, he finally speaks.
"I'm not sure. I mean, you want me to put her in some class, right? Even though I'm the owner of this school, it's not that easy since term has started. So I can't transfer someone that much easily like that... in fact, I might only be able to transfer it next year, where applications normally start."
"No need to put her in some class right now. For now, just letting her stay here at the school would help. So if you hand her a female uniform it would help a lot, so she could leave without drawing attention, as as you can see, she's wearing my stuff, as her only outfit was in a useless state, so I threw her away," I said.
"I'm really asking this favor for you. She just like me, never had a normal life, so I wanted to honor the words of the one who helped me as much as she did," I keep making an appeal.
The middle aged man just looks at me a little curious for the information I've given him.
"You said she ran right? Who helped her? From the way you said it, it was the same person who helped you." He said.
"That would be Matsuo, he was once my butler. He told me about this school, and then with his help I managed to escape. And after a while, so did she." I said.
The man started looking at CC who was now a little anxious to know his answer. If he refuses, I will have to appeal to certain things. However, I doubt that. Something that tells me he will accept. But I found it strange that he didn't mention her name being just two letters. Is it just me who thought it was weird...?
"Very well, however we have a problem, if I allow her here, where would she stay? All the rooms have already been taken," he says.
Well that was true. A problem indeed though, before I continue my internal monologue, CC's voice catches both of us attention.
"Well, that hasn't already been resolved?" She speaks with disdain.
"Already?" I ask
And then my mind opens up, and I see what she's getting at. I unconsciously widen my eyes a little looking at her who now had a smile.
"You can not be serious..."
"Oh I am," she says.
"Eh... what are you guys talking about?" President Sakayangi asked.
"She wants to stay in my room," I say.
"I don't see what the problem is with that." She said.
Well surely there are many problems here my witch , how do you expect in holy conscience the president of the school to allow a man and a woman to be in the same room? And then there's the fact that if you're seen leaving my room at times when there's a lot of people, it's clearly going to be trouble, so don't have to.
"I see, that's perfect then," President Sakayanagi says interrupting my monologue.
I just look at him, and then I speak.
"Are you serious? Are you going to allow a man and a woman to live in the same room?" I ask with a small amount of surprise.
"Yeah. Well, it's not like you guys are going to do anything right?" He says.
You trust people too much...
"Do you have a problem with that?" CC asks this question directed at me.
"I don't. However, I didn't think he would allow it, so since he did, I guess it's okay," I said.
I really hope that no security camera caught her in those weird clothes, however, as I talked to her in the remaining hours waiting for the visit, she said she was sure no camera saw her. I said that this wasn't normally possible, and then she replied...
"Who says I'm normal for conversation starters?"
So I didn't ask any more. Something tells me I don't want to know what the hell she meant by that.
"So it's decided? All right, Ayanokoji, give me your phone number," the man said.
"Why?" I ask curious.
"Well, since you're going to take care of her, you need to have an income for that. So I'll give you 500,000 points to buy you two things as well as her clothes, since from what you said, she doesn't have any .And this morning I will have a female uniform delivered to your room in a box of fake items." He says.
I see, so he'll put her uniform in a box, and he'll have it delivered under the name of another item to avoid suspicion, huh. That's good, and will it give me 500,000 points? Although...
When I hand my phone to him, he quickly raises his eyebrows. And then he turns to me and asks.
"How do you get over 1 million points in the first month?" he asks genuinely curious. I just shrug and answer.
"Well, let's say I was in the right place at the right time though, you're still going to give me the 500,000 points right?" I say.
He looked at me and just shrugged his shoulders before answering.
"Well, it's not like anyone is even finding out. And something tells me you're going to need those stitches," he said.
Wait, does that mean I can ask for points whenever I need it?
"Here, Your cell." He tosses my cell phone, I look at the dots nod my head. This will help me buy some clothes for her, and there will be plenty left over for the things I was initially planning to do.
"Before I go how are you going to do it? I say, who's going to sleep in bed?" He speaks out of nowhere. However, I feel that this was completely intentional in some way...
"Well that's okay isn't it? I'm the woman here," she said as if it were obvious. I quickly looked at her before answering firmly.
"I'm not sleeping on the couch," I say.
She then looks at me with eyes shining brightly. Why do you ask I don't want to sleep on the couch? It's simple. It's because I just don't want to .
Why am I going to give up my cozy bed to sleep on this sofa that's quite small? It's clearly going to cause too much discomfort. So I refuse to sleep on it.
"I'll sleep in bed," she said.
"Me too," I reply.
The two of us stared at each other intensely, before the man who seemed to be looking on playfully slapped both hands and caught our attention.
"Well, you guys can decide that later, alright? Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go." He speaks and starts walking to the door, but I talk to him.
"Before you go." I say and he looks at me like he's telling me to continue. "Does your daughter know too? About the White Room," I ask something I'm curious about. It wouldn't surprise her to know either, since she's his daughter.
The man just shows a smile before nodding his agreement.
"Yes, we visited the White Room for a while. We also saw you through the glass," he said.
"I see...that's all. Thanks for answering," I say.
"No problem boy. And you CC, stay in Ayanokoji's room for as long as possible, alright? If you need to leave urgently, wear the uniform I'll be delivering this morning. And don't do anything perverted." He speaks to which she nods her head in agreement. And then he finally walks through the door and I close it.
Don't do anything perverted, huh? What exactly does he mean by that? Well CC didn't seem to change her expression, so it shouldn't be a big deal.
"It all worked out." CC spoke up feeling a little relieved.
"Yes..." I say before going to the drawer and grabbing something.
"That..." She said.
"Yeah, I said I'd read it when I'm done with all this okay?" I speak taking my mother's letter.
With an auditory sigh I start to open the letter, then read it.
[Hello my son. If you're reading this, it means I'm finally not alive anymore. I will leave the delivery of this letter to Matsuo, for when he can find the right moment to give it to you. The reason I'm writing this is because, I know you're going to be free at some point, but I also know they're going to come to you. That's why I left you a little gift for when they come after this letter.
I really wish I could be with you longer, however...they wouldn't allow it, so I'm sorry my son. I really don't know much what to write here, however, when you turn this letter over, you'll find your present, with my last messages, but before that, I'm sure you'll be wondering how I managed to get my hands on it, though , I won't say~ Let's say it's a mother's secret.]
I quickly absorb it all. Did she say she has a present for me? On the other side of the letter, but before that... she said she wanted to be with me longer, but they wouldn't let me, of course I knew that, but these words coming out of her... I thought of something, that had not thought back then.
Could it be possible that my mother had not died of illness?
Could she have been murdered...?
Without realizing it, the moment I thought about it, I unconsciously release an aura. Something I haven't done in a while.
"!?" CC looked surprised as it made a noise. And then sighing and calming myself, I turn the card over.
And then I see the item she had said, I immediately widen my eyes like never before. How could she have accomplished this? She was always watched, so there's no way she could have done it without... help from the inside.
She definitely had help from within. Someone helped her get her hands on this item. I quickly pick it up and squeeze it gently in my right hand. I then turn to look at the letter. My mom said it had her last words in it. And then as he had said, indeed he had.
I quickly realize, just two lines, and underneath that was a picture of my mom.
And then it's like the world completely darkens for me, I quickly lose track of everything, I could hear CC calling me a few times, however, I didn't pay attention. It was like everything around me went black, the only lights being the two lines and the photo of my mom at the end of them, I couldn't help but feel nostalgic when I saw her holding a book. In addition to the piano, she loved to read.
So I start to read the lines on the letter while squeezing the item a little harder in my hands, the lines say:
The king makes the first move.
Show them the true meaning of the word despair , my son.
