A/N: Hello Lovelies! I know this is crazy long overdue, but I'm back! Which feels ridiculous to say because it's not like I have a hoard of people calling my name LOL but here we are. I have a bit more of a schpiel at the end for those interested with what's going on. If not, proceed and I hope you enjoy!

"Hey, I've got her here with me now; we should be by the house in five minutes,"

"Okay… I'm sorry, and why are you calling?" I flopped onto the crouch dangling my legs off the side, blowing stray hairs away from my face.

"Erm, well, to give you a heads up, or something…" I chuckled and rolled my eyes as I started to swing my legs.

"Uncle Charlie, she's my cousin, not one of your convicts. I think I would have been okay without the warning. Plus, you are a man of the law!" I gasped. "You know that using electronic devices while driving is illegal!"

I heard some faint laughter, from who I can assume was Bella. Uncle Charlie mumbled something incoherent before hanging up.

I continued to swing my long legs as I blinked up at the clock. 4:26.

Right, so my dear cousin Bella. She's sweet, really, just very… bland. Okay, bland is not the right word I'm looking for. She's not a bowl of oatmeal. She just a little... yeah okay, so she's a bowl of oatmeal. She a big bowl of freakin oatmeal! She's pretty, she really is, but damn, is that girl dull.

Before my godparents died, they thought it was important for me to stay close with my biological family. Bella and I would get one whole month together every summer to work on our budding relationship. Making her defy Uncle Charlie or play dress up with me was like pulling teeth. One time she accidentally stole a pack of gum from the grocery store. She cried until Uncle Charlie took us back so she could return it.

After she turned 15, she ended her summer visits. She said it was because she was sick of the depressing weather. I think she was just sick of sharing a room with me.

But she's back now, and I'm going to put that all behind me, cause I'm going to have a relationship with my cousin God damn it!

I heard the slamming of car doors from out front.

4:28.

That was not five minutes.

I lazily pulled myself off of the couch and jerked my head to the side, sighing at the satisfying crack. I can do this. I put on a giant smile and swung the front door open.

"Bell's!" She gave a noticeable grimace at my chipper tone which I chose to ignore. She struggled to keeps her bags up as I threw my arms around her.

"Hey Poppy," I took one of her bags after eyeing her small thorny plant,

"Uh, cute cactus"

She looked as the ground and tucked her hair behind her ear before she gave a small smile. "Just a piece of home".

I left her suitcase by the bed and stepped back so she could get settled. This room hasn't changed since those summers back; only thing new was the larger bed and the bedding.

Leaning on her door frame, I quirked a brow as I watched Uncle Charlie and her interact. Uncle Charlie made a comment about the lamp. They really are father and daughter… I rolled my eyes.

Making my way to her bed, I threw myself on it, keeping my feet off to prevent getting dirt on her new comforter. I folded my arms behind my head and watched Bella inspect the sheets.

"They're brand spankin new. Uncle Charlie wanted me to help buy some bedding for you, but I had a paper to write, and plus Uncle Charlie in a Bed Bath and Beyond? I thought it would be fun to let his head implode. I guess he must have sweet talked a sales lady to help him ease his mind. I would have gone for something… else. She went with purple." I gave Uncle Charlie a cheeky smile which he glared at.

"You like- you like purple right?" He asked.

"Purples cool. Thanks." I watched as they both stood there looking around awkwardly. Oh dear God.

"Okay." And he left.

I snored. I love my Uncle, I really do. He took me in when I had no one left, and for that I will forever be grateful. But heaven almighty, he's just so awkward when it comes to Bella. You'd think they guy would be used to having a house full of girls. I have lived here for about 5 years now, not including all those summers.

"So uh, your beds not here, you've got your own room now?"

I nodded and casually pointed towards the room across the hall,

"Yeah, as soon as we heard you were coming back Uncle Charlie thought it would be a good idea if we were to have our own rooms." I smirked, "I think he just couldn't stand the idea of having a room right across from two teenage girls"

Bella laughed, "Sounds like a nightmare. So, how's the school here?" I look up to see Bella unpacking and neatly placing clothes into her dresser.

"Oh God. I guess it's okay. You'll be meeting my friends tomorrow. They're… Well, I guess you can say they'll grow on you?" She didn't look convinced. I didn't blame her. Jessica is fucking annoying.

"Are they really that great if they need to grow on you?"

I gasped, "So I see you've become a bit of a smart ass". Bella snorted and tuned towards the window,

"Hey, I think you have company," I jumped up and joined her at the window. Billy and Jacob. I laughed and dragged Bella out front.

"Geez, it's been forever since you've seen that boy, I bet he's excited to see you" I sang. "Billy boy!" I squeaked as I hopped into lap and gave him a bear hug. I peeked up at Jacob and wiggled my fingers as my hello.

"Bella, you remember Billy Black," Billy snuck his arm around me to shake her hand.

"Wow you're looking good," she greeted. He laughed.

"Still Dancin'. We're glad you're finally here; Charlie here hasn't shut up since he told me you were comin'". Uncle Charlie looked away embarrassed and grumbled something causing the two to start goofing off in the street. Real safe guys.

I took the time to re-introduce Jacob and Bell's "Jakey, you remember Bella. Bella, Jake."

"We made mud pies when we were little," he laughed. She a look of recognition quickly washed over her face,

"Right, yeah, I remember," we all turned to the two idiots cashing each other on the road. "Are they always like this?"

"It's getting worse with old age," I snorted at Jacobs comment. The gruesome twosome started to make their way back.

Uncle Charlie gave the old rust bucket beside Bells a good smack,

"So, what do you think?" She looked confused. I cringed. "Your homecoming present here".

Bella's eyes widened, "This"?

I really couldn't tell if she was excited or upset… Sometimes this girl was just impossible to read, it made it real difficult to tell what she thinking.

"Just bought it off Billy here."

"I totally rebuilt the engine for you" Jacob boasted.

"Oh God, oh my gosh, this- this is perfect!" Huh, excited it is. She's tried to hop in but ended up hitting Jacob with the door. "Sorry," I snorted, almost forgot how clumsy she was.

I poked my head through the window as while Jake hopped in the other side and explained how to work this contraption. Bella was disappointed after she found out he went to a school on the reservation, "Oh right, right, that's too bad; it would have been nice to know another person."

"Well now you've just me got to your pretty little self," Bella smiled.

"Hey Bella? Babe, what are you wearing?" Bella looked down at her Baseball shirt that she wore over a long sleeve, a pair of jeans and hiking boots. She then gave me a scared look and backed away slightly, raising her hands in front of her.

"Oh no, we are not doing that thing we did as kids where I would scream and you would smear lipstick on my face dress me up in grandmas' old clothes,"

"Hey, Nana Helen was bangin' in her day!"

"I'll meet you in the car!" I glared at the empty stair case she descended from. I huffed before hiking my backpack higher on my shoulder. Before heading to out I quickly looked myself over myself in the mirror. My dark brown hair was left down in its natural waves and my makeup was fairly simple. I decided to wear a dark grey knit sweater with some ripped black denim. Naturally, due to the rainy weather I slipped on my black boots and a parka.

"I love this truck!" The car made another grumble as it hit a bump; my manicured nails dug into the seats, clutching for dear life. I'm going to die.

"Ha yeah. Sorry Bell's, but we're taking my Jeep tomorrow." I squeaked as we hit another bump.

"Well we're here…" Bella sighed as we exited the truck. I know Bella hates attention and all, but this rust bucket of hers landed her a lot of stares. I quickly adjusted my beanie before stepping out.

"Nice truck!"

"Fuck off Hansen," He looked shocked to see me, but gave me wink. I threw my arm over Bella shoulder and directed her to the entrance. The middle finger I was giving Hansen and his little group didn't go unnoticed.

A/N: Just here to say I have't given up on my other story 'The Second Choice', but unfortunately VD was pulled from Netflix, which makes it really difficult for me to remember what hell happens next. I do have my ending, but I really want to avoid a season 8 Game of Thrones fopaux by rushing the last bit just to get to the end. Amelia has become a favorite character of mine and I'd hate to do her and my pals (you all) an injustice by doing something like that.

I have popped back on here though cause even though I haven't gotten very far with Poppy here, I really wanted to get back to her. I haven't seen much around like her and she's my baby so I couldn't just leave her high and dry like that.

So for those to have read this before, I will be make some slight changes. Like real itty bitty, so don't worry. But I think my writing has changed a bit and certain parts really just didn't flow for me.

For those who are new, I hope you enjoy whats to come.

I would really love some feedback from you guys and if its more comfortable for you, I do welcome PM's. If there's anything you guys wanted to see just let me know. I'm pretty flexible.

Love you all, and thanks for the support
