A Test of Strength
During his time on Earth, Kalman was fond of reading various non-fictional, historical and more complicated pieces of literature, during his brief windows of time before the jaws of society's machine once more swallowed him whole and relegated him to the life of a boring desk job. Like many foolish young men, he thought that by learning all he could, and working hard, he could propel himself out of a life of banality and into one of happiness, affluence, importance. One of purpose.
But as expected, it was not to be, and this dream died like the dreams of billions of other people in that broken world. He graduated high school, which was a feat in and of itself, only accomplished due to the money given to him by his grandfather before his untimely demise at the hands of a Vision-junkie in front of the entrance to a supermarket. This money allowed him to afford high school, and eke out a somewhat passable income compared to the majority of people who only managed to get the eight years of elementary school before being conscripted into the workforce.
It was no secret that life was grim, and that only the crème de la crème, society's highest, could afford not only all the necessities, but also life's luxuries. They had the best education, best medical care, best living spots, actual food, actual vacations, good work-hours, and best of all, they did not have to suck up to anyone else merely to afford protein paste. To hoard all the resources of the Earth for oneself, while millions starve to death, if they are lucky, could be considered evil. And the majority of the common-folk did consider these so-called "elites" evil, for their lifestyles could only be sustained by leeching off those who actually worked for a living.
According to the greatest philosopher, economist, and revolutionary of the 21st century, the Latin American Sancho Martez, who wrote on many subjects, morality was defined by society, and therefore largely subjective. Yet one of his later books, a bestseller named "Morality of the Immoral", published in 2071, near the end of his life, detailed how he had altered his opinion. The book spoke on many subjects, but the main subject, was one many authors in history tackled before, that of the nature of evil. He wrote many such books, all with the goal of bringing liberty and power towards those who had neither, but such ideas were too dangerous, and in 2073, he was captured and executed by the "Los Estados Unidos de América del Sur", also known as "The United States of South America", commonly abbreviated as EUAS, which itself was a massive confederation of South American nations, united by authoritarianism and all-around general poverty and misery across the populace.
As stipulated in Sancho Martez's writings, evil could be defined to belong to one of five categories, though it was rarely easily compartmentalized.
Active evil, which itself was quite straightforward. It is when the actions of an individual, directly harm another person, with the end-goal being the act itself, or the pleasure derived from it. If there is truly such a being as God, he would most likely frown upon those who could be categorized as practicing this form of "recreation".
Passive evil, when the actions or inactions by a person or persons, brought about suffering to others, which they could have easily prevented. Think of a person slipping off a flight of stairs, with their neck being headed right for the edge, with death as sure as it can be. Now think of an individual, who is right there, who can prevent this, but chooses not to. This individual is not directly responsible for the loss of a life, after all, they themselves neither pushed someone, nor convinced them to slip. Yet by their inaction, a life was lost, when it could have easily been saved.
Ignorant evil, when the actions of one cause evil, though this person is not aware that the results of their actions, or the actions themselves are evil. Often paired with beings and people of low intelligence. After all, a lion can easily kill and eat a baby, and one would be right to call the lion evil and kill it on the spot for this crime, but as a beast, it is not capable of higher thought, and does only what its genetics tell it to do. It is written that this is the rarest of all evils, for usually, most people do not classify the actions of animals as good or evil, and the simplest of human beings are often the gentlest.
Ambiguous evil, is in other terms called "morally-grey". Think of the trolley problem, to kill one life and to save two. The argument stipulated in this book is that, there is no objective decision-making process that could lead one to always conclude which life to sacrifice, and which to keep. What to do, and what not to do. Seeing as there is no objectively correct choice, every choice, will undoubtedly be, from a certain point of view, evil, and morally wrong.
And the last one, relative evil. While similar to ambiguous evil, it was not quite the same. It argued that, from the point of view of at least one person at any given time, eventually, some of your actions will impede their happiness, and therefore, are morally wrong. It does not matter if it is the serial-killer who has had a tough childhood, and was about to claim his next victim before being abruptly stopped by the valiant and righteous policeman. In the killer's mind, the officer ruined his happiness, and is therefore worthy of suffering, and therefore evil. It does not have to be this extreme of an example. For every person out there, who manages to buy the last piece of cake at a store, there is one who will go without sating their sweet tooth that night. Every time a worker will snatch that incredibly important promotion, another will miss out on it. And even when a newly-wed couple and their friends celebrate the birth of a daughter, there is student out there who is desperately studying for tomorrow's medical exam so they can finally become a doctor, only for them to fail because the noise stopped them from getting enough sleep. To put it in the simplest of terms, sooner or later, for a day or a year, or the rest of your life, you will be the villain in someone's story.
While Kalman himself was no saint, he doubted he would ever dance on the remains of illiterate peasants while defiling their homes and memories. He had a thought that, if there ever came a time when he would have no choice but to kill those who were innocent, he would take no joy in it, and merely do the deed as quickly and efficiently as possible, and then and move on. A stoic approach, cowardly from a certain point of view, but necessary to preserve the embers of humanity deep within. For this reason, a divine hate was boiling beneath the white ivory mask, begging for release, as there was no doubt that the creatures in front of him belonged to the first category.
However, now was no time for rage. That would come later.
"I'm, how shall I put it… not exactly a local, as you can probably tell."- spoke Kalman. His voice had a commanding yet charming presence, like that of a young man who grew up in wealth, yet did not flaunt it, but there was a hint of the stoic spirit and icy hate buried beneath the surface, which were easily recognized by anyone who would listen to him speak long enough. The mask itself somewhat changed the pitch of his voice, but not the color, nor did it make his speech hard to understand. The young man tried to see if he could milk the fiend standing 30 meters in front of him for all the information he could, before separating his head from his neck.
"Yes, indeed, you do wear strange clothing, and I would have been informed if you were here earlier."- the [Balor] pointed towards the flock of [Gazer Devils] flying above the village. As far as demons went, they were pathetic garbage, but they could fly, and for that reason were potentially useful as scouts. The arrogance of the demon to casually reveal such information was staggering. This was a complete noob move. PK Strategy dictated that, you would never reveal how much information you have to your opponent, nor would you reveal how you obtained it, except in the express situation when doing so would create confusion or potentially benefit you in some other way. The fact that despite this iron-clad rule, the boss of the hell-spawns casually told Kalman of their existence, signified one or multiple of four possible situations.
The first, and simplest one, was that this demon was an idiot. Most likely explanation, but too simple.
The second was that Kalman's opponent was so confident in his victory, that he could casually inform his enemy that he had an information and scouting network. Again, pointed to strength, but also arrogance and stupidity.
The third likelihood, was that Kalman was already surrounded, that there was no escape, which meant the demons in this village were not alone, and this was not an isolated incident. In other words, it said "Even if you slay me, someone will find out and they will hunt you down until you die." This was the most terrifying of all options. Such an information web of fliers was hardly stealthy, and this meant that whatever happened in this village was neither the first nor the last time it would occur. Raging monsters who hungered for the flesh of mortals were hardly conspicuous, and there was no attempt to hide from any of the unholy wretches in this village, which meant that the demons had abandoned all pretense of subtlety. It was an invasion, with the goal of eradicating mortal life.
And the last option, was that by attempting to both subtly threaten and court the mortal in front of him, the demon was attempting to recruit him. Yet by the looks of it, he did not look like some sort of Demon Lord, after all, why would he personally be razing some irrelevant little village? The [Balor] most likely reported to someone higher-up the chain of command, and they were no strangers to employing humans and other mortals in their ranks. Unless of course, the village itself WAS important, but for the life of him, Kalman could not figure out why.
Which of these four was the correct choice? Was Kalman himself facing some sort of mastermind, who merely pretended to be a fool? These opponents were the most difficult to face. But Kalman stood in silence for too long, and his thoughts were interrupted once more.
"So, tell me, where are you from? You certainly aren't from this village, and you don't look like you are part of the Knights of Kosalia, though you look armed to the bone. So, what are you, a mercenary, an adventurer? Don't tell me you're with those blasted Seventeen! If so, I shall beat you to death with your own spine!"
After hearing this tirade, a massive weight was lifted off Kalman's shoulders as he was filled with a single thought. "Oh good, he's an idiot."
The response the "human" warrior made was quick, as often the truth is both easiest to remember, yet hardest to believe.
"Well, you see, I was taking a nap, and I woke up near the forest. Then I saw your imps having a meal, so I slaughtered them and came here. As for me being a knight of whatever it is you said, I've never heard of that place or group before. Is there anything else I can help you with?"
"You slept near the Qamdo forest and lived? And you're why those little shits didn't return yet? And then there is the matter of your katana there. I know that those are rare, mortal. You have made me very curious. I shall tell you my name, and afterwards you will tell me yours. My name is Axos, third lieutenant to the Great Demon God, Ulmarax Etris. Now mortal, tell me your name, and the reason why you have come here, lest you make me angry."
Demon Gods? Jackpot. It appeared that this idiot was not an idiot at all. He had good information, necessary information. And he shared it, in the hopes of recruiting Kalman. He offered bait, but he was facing the master baiter.
"My name is Kalman, I guess you can say I'm a bit of a traveler and swordsman. Though I must ask, why are you telling me these things, do you wish to recruit me? I have slain demons before, just so you know, thus attempting to force me into servitude would be a most unwise decision."
"Hahahahaha!" – A hearty and deep laugh bellowed, and it could be heard even within the depths of the nearby forest. "You are a cocky one, I like that. Tell me first, for I cannot see past your mask, are you human?"-the demon lieutenant asked.
"Hmm, I'm not human really, though I look the part. Why do you ask? You're not…interested, are you? Because I don't swing that way."-Each word true, it gave the enemy a small bit of comfort, while drawing out much more in return. Such was the art of diplomacy.
"Heh, no no, you're mistaken. I don't much care for the sexual preferences of others, I myself prefer the succubi over there."- Axos gestured towards two winged beauties who were arguing over a man's leg and who should eat it, but now they merely stared with a look of intrigue and desire, ready to eat the little flesh bag in front of them, in more ways than one. Axos resumed his little tirade.
"So mortal, you appear strong and fearless, and you clearly don't care about these mortals."
Correct on the first two points, wrong on the last one.
"Why do you not join us? Merely demonstrate your strength, and not only those two over there will be yours, but many other spoils of war. Gold, women, magic items, knowledge, power, all will be yours. Merely swear loyalty to my master, prove your devotion! You will not regret it!"
And there it was. Hook, line and sinker.
"Hmm, sure, valid points, but I am pretty strong myself, and I don't want to serve those weaker than myself, you know? Tell me about your master, and if I like what I hear, I'll join you before the sun is up."
The entire conversation had led up to this point, and whether or not the demon in front of Kalman would take the bait. If he accepted, and started spouting information, it would be a massive boon, if not, he would be attacked and have to fight. Yet, based on merely the visual cues alone, Kalman was certain he could, at the very least, escape. He saw no use of any Teleportation blocking abilities, and his enemy had no reason to suspect he could actually cast spells, so if his life was in danger, a simple [Greater Teleportation] towards the carriage, and then running into the woods would be the plan of retreat.
His opponent would bite, but not fully.
"Very well, if you defeat what I send against you, I shall consider you worthy of recruitment. Zombies, attack!"
The zombies were slow, as one would expect, and they all died without putting up a fight. But this did not surprise Axos, who seemed to expect this result. Next came eight imps, with six of them jumping into melee, and two green ones throwing out fireballs from the back. A pathetic spell, cast by pathetic creatures. With a single strike from his katana, a quick unsheathing motion, the six imps were cut in half and died. The other two imps looked shocked and panicked, with one of them freezing in place, and the other turning tail and running away. They were both quickly crushed, by the mace of a [Scale Demon], who approached from the back without word, having somehow read the mind of his master and punished cowardice with death.
"You show promise. Defeat this one, and I shall tell you what you wish to know."
Kalman's opponent was a [Scale Demon]. Its head was that of a goat skull with red eyes, it was around three meters tall, with scales, furry legs, and a snake-like tail. In addition to the large pair of legs which it stood upon, it also possessed a pair of wings, but Kalman assumed that for the purpose of this fight, it would not fly, and merely use its legs to get around.
It let out a terrifying screech, which would paralyze any lesser man who heard it. Unlucky for it however, Kalman was level 100, with items that protected one from mental attacks, and the raw stats and level difference alone would keep him safe even if he were butt-naked.
The beast charged, mace overhead, ready to crush this little fleshling before him.
And an instant later, the blade slashed from neck to waist. A clean cut, so swift that not even blood ended up on Kalman's weapon. When the sword was sheathed, the upper half slid down and fell into the dirt, making a disgusting sound as it did, with guts and blood leaking from both halves during the entire time.
This outcome, was not something Axos expected.
"Truly, you are strong. You must join us! Come, come! My master Is an incredibly powerful magic caster, whatever you wish, will be yours!"- Axos while could no longer hide his excitement as the prospect of picking up a powerful new minion. He had fully dived in, and if rejected, would no doubt attack. All was going according to plan.
"Oh, a magic caster? Magic is truly a powerful force, worthy of respect. Tell me, how strong is your master?"
"My master is a very powerful warlock and arcane mage, and he has even recently managed to break into the 7th tier!"- Axos spoke with pride, singing praises to his lord.
At least, they would be, to someone who was a novice to the game. In Yggdrasil, one could learn a new Tier of Magic every seven levels. This meant that, Players from levels one to level seven, could only wield 1st Tier Magic. Eight to fifteen, 2nd tier, sixteen to twenty-three had access to the 3rd tier. Axos said that, the master he served, the one who had been praised so much, who was probably responsible for the slaughter of this village, had only just recently accessed 7th tier magic, and was most likely barely level 50. Level 50! Half of Kalman's level! An insult of the highest caliber, such stupidity was unheard of!
"Truly? 7th tier magic?" – Kalman asked stupefied.
"Indeed! I know it is impressive. This is magic beyond the capacity of mortals; those fools believe 3rd tier is impressive and 6th tier is the highest one can learn. Fools! The magic of the gods serves my master, and you will get a taste, if you swear fealty!"
"Unbelievable…" – Kalman uttered, though he was stupefied, it was for another reason than the one Axos believed.
"Yes, now quickly kneel and let us-Axos was interrupted before his prattle forced the "mortal" in front of him to commit suicide.
"What a giant waste of my time." – Kalman said with a completely deadpan attitude.
"What!?"- The "Demon Gods" lieutenant was quickly shocked out of his daydream, and returned to reality.
"I mean, here I am, talking to you small fries. And don't get me wrong, you provided me with plenty of wonderful information, but still. You serve a self-proclaimed "Demon God" and he can only barely shit out 7th Tier spells while being a dedicated caster? There's a limit to how much of a weakling you can be, you know?"-Said Kalman, with as lackadaisical an attitude as one would during a shit-flinging discussion on a programming forum.
"What are you saying!? Fall on your knees and beg for forgiveness and I won't kill you where you stand!"- And thus, Axos lost all pretense of friendliness, and he started to threaten a power beyond his comprehension.
"I never told you exactly why I came here, didn't I. I never answered that question. Well, let me tell you. I am here to kill you and every one of you rotten shits in this village."-Said Kalman coldly.
"You…what!? Minions, ATTACK!" – And thus, the stillness of all the demons surrounding the two vanished, and they began attacking, throwing spears, rocks, spells, charging forward. No discipline, no strategy. Just raw stupidity.
The succubi attempted to use [Charm] and various other spells to debuff and harm Kalman, the [Overeaters] rushed to the front, the [Hellhounds] erupted into a sprint, and the other [Scale Demons] took flight. There was no longer any semblance of a discussion. Merely bloodthirst. However, none of them would even get a chance to approach.
[Widen Magic: Arcane Explosion] could be heard for a split second, before a blueish and white light spread across in all directions from Kalman's location. Kalman cast a mere fifth-tier spell, and the vast majority of the insects attempting to dirty his clothes vanished, alongside a good chunk of the ground, but a few still insects still buzzed overhead. As Axos' jaw was hanging wide open, and he struggled to process what happened, Kalman merely pointed a finger upwards, towards the [Gazer Devils], who had not moved from the spot, and he cast the spell [Chain Dragon Lightning]. The electric dragon sprang from Kalman's finger and connected with one of the flying annoyances, and it bounced from one to another, until all were fried and dropped to the ground, like puppets whose strings had been cut. Kalman then cast [Dark Blink], a short-distance instantaneous combat teleportation ability which had a low mana cost, low cooldown and the special ability that it would never be affected by any movement or teleportation restriction spells, though this spell could only ever be cast in one of two ways. The first was towards an enemy's location if they were much lower level or recently damaged by the player, and the second was in a set distance in four different directions horizontally and upwards and downwards vertically, and this could even be cast while airborne. One of his rings gave him better spellcasting abilities after using this spell, but that was not important now. What was important was that he had appeared in front of the two succubi, grabbed them both by their skulls, lifted them up, and smashed their heads together like a pair of cymbals. This happened before they even had time to see what happened. Death was instant, their former beauty now nothing more than a pool of their shared blood on the ground.
There were still stragglers who had seen the writing on the wall, and tried running away. But the speed of their enemy was unquantifiable, and it seemed that each time they blinked, five of their "comrades" died.
Kalman also noticed what appeared to be a [Dead Tree Demon] with three heads on its branches, two of them being male and one female, prepare to cast a spell, but before it could do so, a single vertical strike, straight down the middle, cut the ugly walking pile of firewood in half.
Within a dozen seconds of Axos ordering his minions to attack, they were all dead. Down to the last of them. None were spared, he was the only one left. He knew his master was strong, but even he could be defeated if he gathered enough followers. After all, Axos was merely loyal as part of a strategy, to amass greater power and one day backstab his master, before claiming all he had for his own. Kill all the humans, take their treasures, usurp his master, kill the Dragon Lords, become Ruler of All. That was the plan, and this mortal, half his size, was supposed to be another pawn to help him. And he would have been handsomely rewarded too.
He knew he would die here. But he was far too ambitious, and he already planned to betray his previous master, so in an instant, he thought of a plan. He would swear fealty to this one, before betraying him as well. No one was invincible. That was his lifeline. Yes, that would be the new plan, and it would work.
As Kalman turned around, he sheathed his sword. One would think at first glance, that this meant he was open to negotiation. The truth was, that he merely wished to kill the wretched piece of shit in front of him with his own hands, slowly, and his blade was far too worthy of an end for the likes of him.
He began to walk forward, never having said a word since the failed "negotiation". But as soon as he took a few steps, the lumbering bat-winged coward in front of him prostrated himself. His forehead kissed the ground, and he was completely still.
"Is that a sign of surrender? Does he believe I am taking prisoners? Let's see what he wants first, I can kill him later." -Kalman thought, never changing his gait, nor slowing down.
And as he approached, he spoke.
"Why have you bowed? Answer me."
"Lord Kalman, I have taken this posture as a sign of deep respect towards your mighty personage. We demon kind value strength, and will be true to your word. And I have valuable information which you might find useful. I beg you, show mercy, and I will tell you everything I can more. I will serve you until I die! Please, accept my oath!"
It was no doubt an amusing sight to see a four-meter-tall giant, with a black and flaming sword, a true terror, be completely prostrated before a being half his size. But though the being in front of him was half his size, even if Axos lived for a million years, he could never hope to defeat him. Such was the discrepancy in power between them.
"I accept. Tell me what I want to know, and I shall show mercy. I swear to God." – Kalman spoke, knowing that while he would hold true to the letter of the contract, he would not hold true to the spirit. After all, mercy was a relative term.
"Yes master!" – The joy in Axos' voice could not be restrained and he immediately jumped up before proceeding to kneel to one of his knees, with his right hand over his left, and his sword in the mud, away from his grasp, a clear sign of submission. He knew he could not defeat his new master, not as he was now. But that was second compared to the happiness that he would get to live.
"First, what is the name of this village, and what is Kosalia?"- Kalman asked calmly and methodically.
"Yes, Great One. This village is called Hessau Village. It is in the southern part of the Kingdom of Kosalia, a land of around 3 million people. The Kingdom is located in a valley. This valley is itself surrounded by three mountain ranges, with the first one cutting from west to north-east, the second one running straight east, and the last one running from west to east once more, but this one being further south from the rest, and half as wide as the mountain range in the north. There is dangerous forest, called the Qamdo forest, which further separates the natural geography between this valley and the neighboring realms. Two great rivers flow throughout the valley, feeding much of the population, which is almost entirely human, save for the beastmen who live in the north-west, and the dwarves in the east. And there are small pockets of elves in the south."
-Axos proceeded to speak about everything required, and more. He spit out information like he was defending a dissertation, and it was evident to anyone that he wished to prove himself useful. And he was.
"Impressive. You did your homework. Tell me about the neighboring lands."- Asked Kalman, who tried to soak all this information in.
"Yes, Great One. As I said, this village is in the Kingdom of Kosalia, entirely located within the Kosalia valley. It is a very fertile place, defended by a good geographical position, though the availability of only one possible invasion path has left the people here soft and stale in their defense. None dare pass the mountains, and any who go into the forest die, for it is haunted. There is only one pass towards the neighbouring Sakamir Empire, which lies towards the south-east, but that pass has collapsed due to the fights between the [Mountain Giants] and the [Stone Dragons] who fight for dominion over the greater mountain chains. The Empire is a shadow of its former glory, and rots from within due to corruption and rebellion. As for the north, it is a vast desert, and there are many smaller independent realms of various races within, alongside groups of nomads, and a single glorious city in the middle of the most inhospitable part of the desert. This city is called E-Ryurentiu, former base of the legendary Eight Greed Kings, and the place in the entire world where one can get katanas from the source. To the west are grasslands, the homeland of the Atyrau Kingdom, a nation formerly ruled by High Elves two hundred years ago, though they have now become a minority in their own lands, for the vast majority of both peasants and nobles are Humans. I do not know how that happened. And I do not know what lies beyond these realms, so I must apologize."- After delivering this crash-course in local geopolitics, Axos bowed his head yet again.
"No no, good, this is good information. Thank you. Now, can you tell me more about your master, the other so called "Demon Gods", and about these "Seventeen" you spoke of?"-Kalman could tell that this demon, while he had a treasure trove of information, probably possessed no special information one could not learn by spending enough time in a major city.
"Yes, Great one. I now serve you, though I used to serve the Demon God, Ulmarax Etris. He is around 8 meters tall, with dark scales for skin, with pairs of eyes all over his body, and tentacles attached to his neck and head. He has a single pair of arms and legs, and a face. Recently he has learned to cast 7th tier magic. He is incredibly powerful, and many mortal magic casters, heroes and paladins have tried to defeat him and failed. As for the others, there are 12 other Demon Gods, that I know of, each of them different. Most of them banded together to destroy all other form of life on the continent, or to enslave the population. Some work alone. Not all are magic casters, but all are strong, and can destroy an entire nation by themselves. As for our foes, The Seventeen are a group of so-called heroes. I spit on them. They are strong and annoying. Bards have already started singing songs about them. They are an all-around pain in the ass, and I cannot waist to see them dead."
"So, a typical good vs evil story? How droll. Say, have you heard of the term 'Yggdrasil? Or the term Player? Tell me." – Asked Kalman.
"No, Great One, I have not heard about either of those terms or meanings." – Axos answered diligently.
"Where did you acquire this information?"- Asked Kalman once more.
"Most of it is easy to obtain and is general knowledge. We also have some spies among the mortal realms, and magic casters and other warriors who are willing to bend the knee for power or wealth."
It was clear that the terrified bat-thing in front of Kalman had expended his worth, and now it was time to finish things up.
"Excellent answers. You have been most helpful. I believe I have heard enough. Now, time for the final question. Tell me, do you remember what you said to me? That I should fall on my knees and beg for forgiveness so you would not kill me where I stood?"
And with this question, one could hear an audible gulp.
"I…uh, I apologize master! Please, show mercy!"– The demon raised his eyes and looked into the ivory mask, and the purple lights shining from within. He was shivering. He knew his end was nigh.
"Oh, don't worry. I said I would show you mercy. And I will. Originally, I had planned on using my bare hands to tear out your wings and beat you to death, but now, I shall be lenient, for I am a man of my word."
"Thank you master!" And with blinding speed, the demon prostrated his oversized forehead into the mud, even lower than the last time, obviously relieved at the show of mercy. Though his new master was cruel, and liked playing with emotions, at least he would honor his word.
And he did.
In a split second, Kalman withdrew the [Last Breath] and beheaded Axos. A final act of mercy, towards a creature that deserved none.
"That act was so stressful! I think I did well all things considered, though I would've preferred saving the people here. Oh well, can't win them all. Now, let's see if I can find a map in one of these houses, and try heading towards the nearest city. If my theory is correct, the demons are pathetic in terms of power level, therefore the humans must be even weaker. Perhaps I could do more than just survive here, I could thrive. I'll head to the nearest city, start collecting more general information, and from there I could springboard it into just about anything."
The thought that he could potentially live out many long years in this world, happy years, was a truly pleasant one. But it was quickly shattered. When he looked around, he saw nothing but death and destruction. These wretched abominations were a blight on this world, and he would not tolerate it.
That's it for the third chapter lads! It was quite a meaty one, but I had a lot of fun writing it, and I hope you guys had fun reading it. As always, give the story a follow/favourite if you enjoyed it, and make sure to leave reviews if you want to, know that I will read them all and take them into consideration. Cheers, and until next time!
